Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique (Olaf Larsen) 2022 + Fresh and Woody Giveaway

Navitus Paradis Exotique

Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique by Steven digitalized by Michelyn

Before we get into Steven’s video, full disclosure: I have never smelled Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique (translated from the French means “Exotic Paradise’). It was a Middle East exclusive until very recently. My first assumption on seeing the azure bottle and judging from the name, (admittedly wrong) I imagined it would be a tropical perfume, perhaps with touches of coconut, frangipani and sea notes or it would be sweet and floral. That is not the case as Steven told me it fresh, citrus and woody and more than the sum of the listed notes. Trying to understand the way a fragrance would suit you by reading notes is like studying the ingredients in a recipe without tasting the result.

I did some research on the perfumer Olaf Larsen and read he was awarded 2021“Perfumer of the Year” in the Beautyworld Middle East Awards. He is the nose for Navitus Emblaze and Reve Nuit and is a Senior Perfumer at Eurofragrance. Unlike many Navitus Parfums, Mr. Larsen did not work with a creative director. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Top Notes: Calabrian Bergamot, Sicilian Mandarin, Grapefruit, Indian Ginger;Heart Notes: Turkish Rose, Jasmine Sambac, Orchid & Tahitian Ylang;Base Notes: Madagascan Vanilla, Tonka, Sandalwood & Virginian Cedarwood

Steven’s assessment of the fragrance was very informative and educational as all his reviews are.

  • As usual, Steven is professional, clear and engaging in his vids. I am interested in today’s scent. I have not decided yet on a go-to for Summer 2024 and this has peaked my attention. Additionally, I have yet to try any of the Navitus products, so winning this giveaway would be an excellent introduction. Thank you.

Steven conducted a brilliant review on this! I do love my citrus fragrances more and more each day. Would love to win from CT USA

  • I’m excited for this scent. Steven’s review was great. I love Jasmine in scents especially with an earthy base. Great to know it’s not challenging. For summer i mostly want compliment pulling scents. Also love rose so hope I can get my nose on this. Presentation is beautiful as well.

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

Did you see the bottle?? Gorgeous …The video was great and the way Steven describes the fragrance definitely makes me want to enter the giveaway. The article Michelyn published was great and made me think….would I want to try a fragrance based on the notes..and my answer is Absolutely

Paradis Exotique by Navitus Parfums truly sounds like the perfect fragrance. Would love to win this to make this summer memorable and also beat the summer heat. Kaleab – From NV

Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique sounds like it would be a fresh citrus heaven, energetic, and beautifully wearable! I love the idea of it being long lasting in the warm weather…And wow, so beautifully packaged, just stunning!
I found Steven’s video review very insightful to the fragrance. I love the spicy addition of ginger to all the citrus notes to bring a nice zest to it. As Steven described it to not be too daring of a scent, and very clean with a nice floral aspect of jasmine. And I love that it has an earthy and woody dry down.
8 hours of longevity, and good projection!? Sign me up! I would love to wear this.

I enjoyed listening to Steven’s review of Navitus Paradis Exotique. I really love ginger, especially in a summer fragrance. I’m excited to hear that Steven will be wearing this fragrance a lot this upcoming summer. I live in Maryland USA.

  • bhernandez says:

Summer in a bottle. That’s the description for me.
Steven, as usual, in his calm but spot on description, gives a great opinion of this fragrance.
The presentation is stunning. That box, and the bottle, is very luxurious.

I hope to be the lucky winner.

  • I only prejudge a fragrance if the note list has something I know I usually hate…like cumin but even then there are fragrances listed with cumin that I do like if not heavy handed. Anyway this Paradis Exotique looks sweet because I live in the desert and can’t have too many got weather great scents.

  • FragranceWoman says:

Haha.. yes I think we all prejudge a perfume by bottle and notes. Airy notes like citrus we assume it’s fresh and light. Heavy notes like patchouli and oud and we assume it’s heavy. It’s tricky when they are mixed and it shows the skill of the perfumer.

Paradis Exotique sounds lovely looking at the notes. I believe they designed it to be a vacation scent but not in the traditional scent. I see that there is jasmine in there that did not push it feminine. The fact that it’s long lasting is always great because most scents of that genre have longevity issues. Ginger is also a tricky note but Steven mentioned that they did an excellent job with the blending. I would definitely want to try it.

I’m already a fan of virtus by Navitus, a high quality perfume for winter ! and I’m very interested in smelling Paradise Exotic…

  • ramsesperez52 says:

The bottle looks pristine and still has the characteristics of the other Navitus Parfums. The name is to die for to whoever came up with it. I like that Steve said about it not having rough edges and it’s very serene and clean. Refreshing, zesty and effervescent. I don’t mind an earthy breakdown on a summer fragrance as it fits the season.

Yes, I do prejudge a fragrance by its note breakdown. If I know the notes and there are other fragrances I have and love, I tend to go for a similar set of notes as it’s familiar territory that I love. If there are notes I am not aware of, it would probably be put on the back burner until someone like Steven reviews it and sells it to me. Cheers from NJ.

  • I am currently building my Spring/Summer scents, I have way more cold weather ones. I am being very selective to the ones I choose. This sounds like a great one to add.

I almost always prejudge a fragrance by the notes, funny because this one I wouldn’t have taken for a Summer fragrance.

  • PG Latiolais says:

That beautifully designed bottle contains my favorite notes…it has to be fabulous!

  • Steven aka “Radolessense” on YouTube gave a great review of this Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique fragrance. It does make me curious about this scent though. I admittedly do prejudge scents based on the notes listed online (it’s hard not to!), but he describes this one as being quite different in person than on paper. My only critique would be that the bottle feels a little boring. I guess it’s about the juice inside so I try not to judge a book by its cover.
Fresh summer-y scents are my all time favorite though. I have never smelled anything from Navitus before but I am intrigued by this one and would love to take it for a test drive!

  • Jeremy Upshaw says:

First of all, scent aside – the level of exquisite presentation is on a whole other level with Navitus… really punctuates the pride of craftsmanship behind it.

The ginger/citrus cleanliness with rosy, woody undertone seems like a perfect day-into-night, beach hammock-into-lounge… or just a dreaming of sandy beaches scent for warm weather (which is what I would be doing here in Oklahoma) And with the genius of Larsen behind such predecessors as Arabian Knight, I have no doubt that it’s just as dreamy.

I think Navitus’ “Aweigh” is probably the best, most unique whiff of the Navitus summer selections which I would like to have in my collection eventually –

    – As far as judging a fragrance by it’s listed notes… I do somewhat, but, I have smelled many that don’t seem to be what they appear on their list… so I give every scent a chance with the nose, before making a judgement with the imagination.

  • Thank you for the forward and the video review. Citrusy, clean, fresh and woodsy as you both describe sound lovely. I have found my nose maturing on this journey so no longer judge fragrances from the notes listing though I still use them as a guidepost. I’ve found some fragrances I liked with notes I couldn’t stand on other fragrances. I’m in USA and have not yet tried Navitus – the list is long 🙂

  • contact.jason6@gmail.com says:

  • I thought Steven’s review was excellent as always. He covers in his videos almost all of the questions one may have about a fragrance. This fragrance sounds beautiful based on his review.

  • Greg Graham Sr says:

Hello Steven and Cafleurebon and Michelyn. I have several Navitus Fragrances. They are of great quality, woody and Citrus sound really nice. Congratulations to Mr Olaf Larson. Thank for your generosity.

  • I love this whole new line from Navitus! This was next for me to get. It smells amazing and would definitely be my summer signature scent! It’s amazing what Steven and the team of Navitus are doing. I have so many of their fragrances and definitely would love this next as well! Always love from PA USA!!

  • Chris Mclain says:

Great review Steven, as always. Navitus is making impressive offerings and a great summer scent would really round out my collection. Never prejudge by note breakdown as scents change alot. Not only that your nose may have a totally diffrent outlook for the complete scent. I love the rare or unexpected personally. Thanks for sharing the video

  • paco200822@yahoo.com says:

On my view, NAVITUS is a fantastic line of parfumes. I’ve been smelling parfumes for a few years and Navitus is the only line where I LOVE more than 5 fragances from the same Hause. I already bought 4 of them in addition to the Red Discovery Set that came together with The Discovery Set of VIVAMOR in MAXAROMA.
From your Hause, I already bought a bottle of Chocolate Queen, Eau de Bonair, Raised Spirit and Virtus. Dont ask me wich one I like most, they all are 5-stars to me, I alternate them on a daily base. The smell is unique and they last long and project. For the day, I wear Eau Debonaire, for the night the others.
I also bought a 10 mL samle of Creme Imperiale, woderful!!
My wish for the future Paradis Exotique!!!, wonderful smell to alternate with Eau Debonaire.
I love Paradis Exotique, but is so expensive for me. I am already a client of Navitus and I subscribed to receive promotions.
I keep a close eye on Eidola, Creme Imperialy and Xo Brandy for the future.
I wish one day I have Exotic Paradise and I also would like you to offer other discovery sets with other samples so people could try them. For example I new Eidola because I bought the sample on eBay but I paid twice your price for the sample.
I hope you enjoy my comments, I realy enjoy my NAVITUS parfumes
    sincerely yours

  • Jason Teague says:

I enjoyed Stevens note breakdown and presentation of the fragrance but I do not have a favorite Navitus fragrance. I do tend to judge a fragrance by its note breakdown to help me decide if I’m willing to give that fragrance a chance, but the note breakdown will not always deter me from trying a fragrance.

  • Johnmc5000 says:

Wonderful review from Steven. I love his presentation and the way he shows a spray of the bottle.
Unfortunately I am guilty of prejudice a scent by its notes.
That being said, this scent sounds like a 3 season type scent from May through October based on the notes.
    Hope to win…

I appreciate the reviews of beautiful unique fragrances. I am learning more from you about notes and this seems like a great spring fragrance to add to my new collection

  • Steven has done well with his house. What a great variety of fragrances he features on site.

The name Exotic Paradise and list of notes make this like he said very unique. I’m always looking for a summer, fall fragrance since it’s mostly what I live in throughout the year..

Never had a chance to try anything from the house and yes I look at the list of notes before I try or purchase a fragrance. As always following on socials.

    Thanks from the USA

  • Watching Steven twirl that bottle….wow! Very nice presentation with this bottle. I find it funny the strong cedarwood note…my husband and I spent a couple days chopping doen a cedar tree in our front yard this week and breaking it down to have good campfire wood all summer long.
In general, I’m a maximalist when it comes to perfume and like a lot of notes mingling at once. But sometimes I am taken aback by fragrances with seemingly basic formulations. While I can’t always tell whether I will ADORE or simply like a fragrance based on the notes, I can usually tell if it’s something that I will find particularly challenging to my nose. There are a very small handful of notes that despite trying them in multiple perfume formulations, I am simply not a fan, or they don’t work well woth my skin chemistry. Fortunatepy none of those notes are present in Paradis Exotique. And yes, I do follow the Cafleurebon instagram page 🙂
Should I win, this would be my first Navitus fragrance! Thanks for the super generous draw.

  • I have not tried anything from Navitus yet. This one soudns like a great summer fragrance, though. Citrus backed by woods with some floral touches in the heart sounds like a warm weather winner. I like that Steven found it to be unique as many of the summer citurses seem to fall in line with one another. Steven’s description also made it sounds like it would be great for work and I don’t have many spring/summer frags suitable for my office setting.

Regarding the question of judging a scent based on the note breakdown, I know I’m guilty of it. Heck, I’ve even avoided trying some perfumes based on the notes taht were listed. For instance, I used to avoid anythng that mentioned aquatic or marine accords because many tended to smell rather egg-like on my skin (looking at you D&G Light Blue and Bvlgari Aqva). Thankfully, I learned that you can’t accurately judge a scent by the breakdown. At least I can’t. I’m no nose. I would love to give this one a shot, though. I live in NC, USA.

  • Raul castellanos says:

I love ginger and sandalwood I think it will be an incredible perfume for summer, I have the key perfume and I love it, it’s a compliment machine and good duration, and if it’s important for me to know the notes to know if I’ll like it or not

  • AromaDulce73 says:

I think Stevens description of the fragrance was great. He was very excited about it and it seems like it will be on his rotation this summer and hopefully mine as well.

I don’t have a favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance but Paradis Exotique can easily be the one.

I do sometimes prejudge a perfume by it’s listed notes but I’m learning to dig a little deeper and get feedback from people like Steven to help further understand the fragrance and the notes.

  • Odudu J Akpan says:

This one sounds like a happy summer fragrance. Really interested in trying this!

  • Odudu J Akpan says:

This one sounds like a happy summer fragrance. Really interested in trying this! Steve’s review was thorough insightful as usual. I personally prelude a perfume by its notes. Notes are the first things I considered before even thinking of trying a sample. ODUDU, Chicago IL

  • Dannon C Vick says:

    Yes, I do prejudge.

There are some notes I can’t do, as well as ones I like quite a bit.

  • CologneLover says:

First off, let me say that I do not prejudge fragrances based on their notes.
I really enjoyed Steve’s review of this Navitus cologne. Specifically, his obvious exuberance for it, as well as his thorough and beautiful presentation. As a result, this fragrance sounds like it’s right up my alley, and I would love to add it to my Summer Fragrance collection.
    Thank you.

  • I’ve had my eye on this specific fragrance for months now, I love the presentation & color, I would love to have this for the spring & summer. I definitely enjoyed reading the article on Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique. Thanks .

  • I mostly find a fragrance by looking at the notes, if the notes seems interesting, then it will be on my list. This paradis exotique surely will be in the list and the bottle color is stunning! This is perfect here in my country which is the philippines

  • Sounds good to me for warmer weather. Zesty and citrus. Not too sweet, with earthy woody and patchouli.

I do pre-judge by listed notes. This is why I dislike the current trend of 3 listed notes in a particular fragrance. I’m into the gamble of a blind buy, but I need some information to determine if I’m a winner.

  • I thought Stevens review was rather interesting, the perfume that he reviewed (Paradis Exotique) honestly looks pretty amazing. Unfortunately I don’t own any full bottles from Stevens collaborative line of Navitus Parfums, but I have had the pleasure of being gifted a few samples, and they are always exquisite and project well. As for the question posed “do I prejudge a fragrance based on it’s listed notes”, I’m sorry to say that I do but only partially. Generally what I do when it comes to prejudging a perfume based on its listed notes, is look for those notes that I don’t care for and that I usually dislike.

But surprisingly, what I see to be the greatest common denominator as it pertains to prejudging a fragrance seems to generally be the presentation. It’s not a 100% fool proof method of gauging the intricacies and complexities of a fragrance, but the color and hue of a bottle, in addition to the color and darkness of the liquid in the bottle can be a good indicator of what the essence inside the bottle might smell like.

  • Loved the presentation in the review, im really attracted to the top notes of that grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin, and ginger combo. like you said it sounds clean and fresh, perfect for down here in florida heat weather!! I do prejudge a perfume by its notes some notes arent as attractive to me as others so i lean toward notes i like more when purchasing a perfume such as citrus, sweet, fresh!

  • I’ll be strictly honest. Steven’s review introduced me to a fragrance house & fragrance I’ve never heard of before or existed. He was able to create a detailed picture through his interpretation of his olfactory senses, and describing the notes and breaking them down for me to feel as if I was experiencing it with him. had already been familiar to me, that I absolutely didn’t even know existed

  • Wow – as summer approaches, a clean, zesty, smooth, citrusy-opening perfume with earthy backbone is what one needs. Steven as usual did a great job in his video review of Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique. I like that it is a unique perfume in Steven’s estimation. I was floored by the presentation of the perfume itself – so elegant. Like also that it is not sweet and gourmand, but earthy, as Steven says. I am a Redolessence subscriber and love his reviews and Michelyn’s notes that add to his video presentations. Thanks for the reviews and a generous draw. From continental USA.

  • Forgot to mention this above – please add it to my comment. I do prejudge a perfume by the listed notes, as I assume that these are the predominant notes and that is how they want to market these perfumes, so they are trying to capture folks who like the listed notes. But it is important to get independent reviews such as above to tease out unlisted notes, such as patchouli that Steven felt was there but not listed. This way a patchouli lover may still decide to buy the perfume. Don’t have any perfumes by this brand, so no favorites, yet. From continental USA.

  • A name like Paradis Exotique conjures visions of tropical flowers and ocean breezes. It’s interesting that it’s a citrus forward woody perfume with spice and floral touches. Steve review was through as always. It seems much more sedate than the name would suggest but I do appreciate the zing of ginger in the composition. MD, USA

  • Steven’s review of Paradis Exotique is fun and answers all my questions about this incredible fragrance. I usually don’t “prejudge” fragrances by its listed notes, as I think it makes a big difference how they are blended.
    In the U.S.

  • Great review by Steven and introduction by Michelyn.
I love Navitus Parfums, they really use great materials for good prices. I think that Paradis Exotique is an amazing fragrance for the summer or a vacation. I love that it is bright, clean and just great for everyday use. I would love to try it soon.
    USA here.

  • Steven did an incredible job describing the citrus notes of the fragrance along with the cedarwood’s impact on the fragrance. On the topic of prejudging a fragrance, it is something I am really guilty of. I tend to look for a citrus note in a fragrance because fresh and citrus based fragrances tend to be a safer choice compared to warm fragrances on my skin, so it tends to be a thing I look for when blind buying. From TX, USA.

  • Always enjoying Steven’s reviews.
This fragrance sounds super interesting and unique,
    the bottle also looks gorgeous.

  • Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique sounds like it would be a fresh citrus. Miami. Florida

  • Always great reviews from Steven & Cafleurbon!
Paradis Exotique sounds like the perfect summer scent – clean & citrusy!
Not sure if “prejudge” is the correct term in how I choose a fragrance, but I’m definitely more drawn to particular notes and I seek those notes once a fragrance is on my skin.

  • benmiller412 says:

Great video Steven. As always, enjoyed hearing about how spectacular this fragrance is. I’ve been a fan of this house from a distance and this fragrance seems like the perfect compliment to a summer in the sun! Growing up, we had an orange tree at my grandparents house and would always go pick them. I just know this fragrance will bring me right back to that time and remind me of the happy memories. Keep up the great work! NY USA

  • Navitus Parfums is new to me I like the reviews and would like see more reviews of the house also like to try on. I’m a new perfumes collector.

  • This sounds gorgeous. It sounds so fresh and uplifting for spring and summer. Plus, it sounds like it is a wonderful unisex scent that both myself and my boyfriend could wear. My favorite Navitus are Lautas and Intimus – I bought them both for my boyfriend and he is always getting compliments when he wears them. I’d love to win Paradis Exotique for him.
    I live in the US.

  • Th perfect vacation/summer scent? I need this in my life. Navitus Parfums always have great presentation but it’s even better now! Steven said this is unisex & definitely would like to test this out & on some female friends as well. I think this would be good for spring & fall from the earthiness that was described. My favorite Navitus Parfums I own are Serenade, Aubade (known as Lyrik), & The Key.

I’m intrigued to try this unique citrus, ginger, woody fragrance. I also like to hear that it has good performance. I’d like to try a fragrance from Navitus Parfums, I haven’t had a chance to try one yet. I’d like to try a fragrance made by award-winning perfumer Olaf Larsen. I follow @cafleurebonofficial on Instagram (@regismonkton). At least sometimes I prejudge a fragrance based on its notes listing, but I’m always open to trying a fragrance which is new to me. I live in the U.S.A.

  • Do you have a favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance? Do you “prejudge “a perfume by its listed notes, answer this and your comment will count twice?

Aubade (Lyrik) is collaboration between Julien Rasquinet and Dominique Ropion is the best Navitus fragrance I’ve smelled . In my husband and mine, mostly shared fragrance collection, there’s already 3 Navitus fragrances Lyrik , The Embrace and Navus.
About the notes , I try not to “prejudge” fragrances by the listed notes , because 10 fragrances with the exact same notes , could smell so vastly different side by side . In rare cases I’m a bit condemnatory , if there’s a note/s I’m not found of , civet for example.
Happy to know Paradis Exotique is made by accomplished perfumer like Olaf Larsen , with interesting credentials, thanks for the info Michelyn
Not sugary sweet tropical fragrance, all free-spirited fragrance fans could wear Paradis Exotique , and enjoy the scent especially during the warmer weather. Steven review was like a vacation to non inhabitant tropical island, the yuzu, the jasmine and the woods i like the most.

Thanks for the nice writeup Michelyn and Steven. I really try to not prejudge a fragrance based on listed notes – case in point all the Encre Noir Series have vetiver but smell so wonderfully different. I perhaps make an exception for gourmands, since it is not my favourite category.

I like the bottle on this and this fragrances use of ginger is actually quite interesting. I’ll have to do a bit of research on Olaf Larson to figure out his works.

I’m always ready for sensual, deep and rich Summer fragrances done right ✅
Friends and family, good music, beaches , freshly squeezed juices , positive emotions all are part of the festive sensation coming from Paradis Exotique.
I think it’s also versatile fragrance , I can wear it going on dates too , Summer music festivals, and so on.
From Navitus I’m happy to have Absolutio , and Vivamor. Compliments galore from both , each and every time.

Do you “prejudge “a perfume by its listed notes, answer this and your comment will count twice?

Hmmm , I’ll have to say yes I do , not always, but I do. I mean sometimes I judge well, but sometimes I’m completely off , there’s a reason I always sample fragrances before buying a full bottle.
    Exciting giveaway , USA
    Regards

  • Michelyn brought quite an interesting topic to the table, not just gourmands, but all fragrances I always relate to some sort of food. No doubt it comes from me being a Pastry Chef, but I can’t help it, it’s like I see the ingredients on the table, and my mind starts baking on its own 🙂
For example I have two Navitus Parfums , Vivamor and Serenade. Vivamor smells a bit like Pineapple Upside Down Cake with saffron. Serenade reminds me of Chocolate Ganache Cognac Cake, with candied orange peel on top.
Steven take on Paradis Exotique made me think of making Lemon Glazed Moist Gingerbread , and later on sharing it with friends, while sitting on some beach in Italy , and enjoying the sunrise.
A lot of famous perfumers worked with Navitus,
Paradis Exotique is made by Olaf Larsen, and I wonder what he cooked , Lemon Glazed Moist Gingerbread like fragrance, or something else , because Jorge Lee did great with Vivamor and Serenade
Appreciate the review, Michelyn question , and the giveaway campaign

I loved Steven’s Review of Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique. A beautiful fresh offering for the warm weather with a bright fresh citrusy floral with woodsy undertones. It sounds incredible. My favorite fragrance from Navitus Parfums is Arcanum. I do often prejudge fragrances based on the note breakdown which I usually do to get a general idea of how a fragrance will smell before testing. I am following @cafleurebonofficial on instagram my handle is @michaelprincefragrance I am from the USA.

  • Michelyn makes a good point in her introduction—the notes list only gets me so far. I don’t prejudge a perfume by its listed notes, but I do look for ones I like or dislike, cognizant that I often have trouble connecting a list of notes to how it will actually smell. I try to sample liberally, seek out discovery sets (that force me out of my comfort zone), and sample any perfume at least twice.

I enjoyed how Steven’s video described the way the floral notes smell in detail—the particular exporessions of ylang and orchid here. The combination of these florals with strong ginger, citrus, and woods sounds terrific. Also, you can see in his video that the packaging is exceptional.

I’m in the USA. I follow @cafleurebonofficial and I haven’t tried any Navitus Parfumes fragrances. Thanks for the giveaway.

  • Another great video review by Steven of his *Navitus Parfums Paradis Exotique*)) he always explains perfumes exceptionally well with fine details. As summer is very near this fragrance profile that Steven described sounds like a bright and beautiful clean citrus. I do “prejudge“ a perfume by its listed notes because I just adore and love certain notes. Thanks for such an amazing giveaway! Greetings from the USA.

Navitus Parfums fragrances are all made with quality ingredients, and composed by renowned perfumers . Slowly but surely they are getting more and more traction in the fragrance community, and the new premium line is a step in the right direction.
In my opinion they make not just gourmands , but the whole range of fragrances exceptionally well.
I know most of their fragrances, excluding the latest ones , and if I have to rate my favorite ones:
    1. Soir Exclusif
    2. Serenade/Empyreal
    3. Exralt Nuit/The Embrace
Olaf Larsen other than for Reve Nuit , and Emblaze, I know for his work on some of Galleria Parfums fragrances, a sister brand to Navitus. As far as I know both are owned by the same people, and their fragrances are made in the same facilities.
Judging by the quality of the presentation, and the luxurious feel, and of course Steven’s review , i believe Paradis Exotique is upscale warm weather fragrance, with zingy freshness , clean jasmine ,and nice plethora of woods.
I do collect fragrances for over 25 years now , and still I always pre-judge perfumes :
    1. By the notes
    2. By the brand DNA
    3. By the nose previous portfolio.
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg

Navitus Paradis Exotique shares some characteristics with Vivamor, both all-purpose, pleasing all year round fragrances anyone could
    wear on regular basis.
Paradis Exotique is less sweeter, more woody , and better suited for business meetings . I like the way it develops , especially the ginger and sandalwood.
Unintentionally I try to determine how the fragrance would smell by the notes alone . I was wrong so many times doing lately, that’s why i like to order official sample sets from places like Twisted Lily.

I find Steven’s review in-depth and very informative. I find his assessment of fragrances a valuable tool when considering a new fragrance. I DO NOT prejudge a perfume by its listed notes. While I do enjoy many notes, I’ve found that notes interact differently in with other notes…sometimes providing an olfactory experience that can quite unexpected. One of my favorite Navitus fragrances for Spring/Summer is Aweigh..it is sooo good 🙂

  • I have to say Michelyn gave a unique twist to the already awesome review , and giveaway. You never know what will come up out of the rabbit hole , but depending on my affinity of certain notes I do prejudge most of times. More often I do it if there’s a boozy note in the fragrance, or I’d like to treat myself with a cocktail…or if there are too much of funky, and animalic notes too.
Steven transported me to Calabria, and particularly to Calabria’s
Costa dei Gelsomini, or Jasmine Coast.
It’s easy to guess that the Coast takes its name from the cultivation of jasmine .
Beautiful place I’ve been to, with many sandy beaches , and also jagged cliffs. If you travel by the coast line you’ll see that surrounded by green, citrus and olive hills , and aromas.
Maybe Navitus, and Olaf Larsen was influenced by Costa dei Gelsomini , because Steven review of the fragrance resembles a lot the way the coasline in Calabria peninsula, surrounded by the the Mediterranean Sea.
My favorite Navitus Parfums fragrance is Navus , my husband is into XO Brandy, Absolutio , and Vivamor . One of our family brands .
If I have to guess Paradis Exotique is part of more exquisite line of Navitus Parfums fragrances , the whole presentation is more luxurious than the regular collection
    Thank you for the opportunity
