Most Unique Spring Perfumes 2024 + 3 You should Be Wearing Giveaway

What are the most unique spring perfumes 2024

Three Most Unique Spring Perfumes 2024 collage by Steven

After the cold and dark days of winter, Spring 2024 promises to be the season of new beginnings. Video editor Steven Gavrielatos and I curated three unique Spring Perfumes 2024 that fly under the radar (because why fit in when you can stand out). –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama (Maxence Moutte): All Le Jardin Retrouvé fragrances are inspired by a garden. In this case perfumer Maxence Moutte sought to capture the bamboo forest of Japan’s Arashiyama Park. If you have ever gone forest bathing which I highly recommend if you need to tune out and be in touch with nature; the Scent of Tranquility is bottled here. If you are a fan of leathery woody fragrances, try their sample kit.Michelyn

Notes: oakmossbergamot, lentiscus, aquatic notes, fig accord, incensevetivercedar

INeKE Balmy Days and Sundays (Ineke Ruhland) is a green grassy floral with rose, honeysuckle and an especially spectacular mimosa note. Wear this and you’ll feel like you are wiggling your toes through a freshly mown lawn watching clouds float by in a bright blue sky. It’s perfect to wear anytime you want to bring the outdoors indoors. B is for brilliant. New to the brand? Ineke has a sampling programMichelyn

Notes: rhubarb tea, grapefruitlavender, Big Sur sagebrush, cypress, fir needle, cardamomwoodsoud, musk

Hez Parfums Blue Dog (Hez Binkowitz) is composed by the promising young artisan perfumer and is at the top of Steven’s list.  Blue Dog captures the spirit of George Rodrique’s famous Blue Dog paintings, and the culture that it represents. It opens with a fresh citrus/spice transitions to a warm amber/incense base. It as bold as the colors used in the Blue Dog paintings.  Truly one of the most unique of our Spring 2024 perfumes curations and perfect transitional scent. –Michelyn

Notes: rosemary, pink pepper, ginger, bergamot, grapefruit, marine, ozone, lavender, lily of the valley, cardamom, tonka bean, sandalwood, incense, vetiver, patchouli, ambroxan, musk

Flying under the radar is truly the way I’d use to describe these fragrances because I neither knew them or their respective houses. I love the idea of being in a forest and sunbathing as much as being barefoot on a freshly mowed lawn. These are excellent choices I must say. If I were to win, I’d go for Hez Perfumes Blue Dog as the notes sound the most appealing to me and I tend to have a similar taste to that of Steven. Amber/incense bases are some of my favorites types of scents. My insta name is Ramses.d.perez and I live in the USA.

  • Jeremy Upshaw says:

Although the utter intrigue of Hez’ Blue Dog makes my springtime skin tingle, I have had this re-emerging obsession with wanting to try INeKE Balmy Days and Sundays – a scent that isn’t new to the scene, but seems to enrapture me with curiosity and then somehow get away from me (I love several figgy fragrances like DS Durga – Debaser) and I love the idea of the lactonic, creamy coconut… I loved Stevens review, now we just need a vocal duet with Michelyn singing their favorite Carpenters hits! 🙂

MOUSSE ARASHIYAMA it is a inspiration from Arashiyama Garden, Kyoto, Japan, it is a perfect parfum for meditation in a green forest. I am from EU

  • olgAPOISON says:

I love everything about Mousse Arashiyama. I really want to try more of this brand, their tarot cards are a great spiritual tool. Im from eu.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

I’ve following Hez Parfums for a while now. I’ve sampled a few from Hez including Blue Dog. A great freshie, perfect for spring/summer. Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama for sounds interesting as well. The “scent of tranquility” according to Michelyns.

    I’ll go with Blue Dog.

    Los Angeles Ca. USA

  • jlsteckley says:

Steven always does a great job articulating the smells. Hearing him describe and then smelling it later it’s almost spot on. And I like how Michelyn laid out the article. The first paragraph sucked me in and then I learned about each fragrance.

    From the USA

  • Owen Blackwood says:

I loved the sound of all of these fragrances in the reviews. I think Steven and Michelyn did a great job reviewing the fragrances and I think I would most enjoy Balmy Days and Sundays. I love how the reviewer talked about it being smells from nature and just an uplifting scent and if I won this would be my I choice, I am from USA.

  • Musky Vetiver heavy base? Sign me up I am all over it. Also the green elements are perfect of the spring weather from PA, USA

  • (Colorado, USA – Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays) Yes! Finally spring has sprung. I was surprised and delighted by the choice of these three scents, none of which I’ve heard of before, but all three which I now would like to know more about, thanks to your reviews! The mimosa, the freshly mown grass, the breezy spring air. That’s the one for me, although the thought of forest bathing in a Japanese bamboo forest also has me swooning.

  • AleksCipri says:

I love Ineke Balmy days and Sundays, although I don’t own a bottle yet. I agree with Steven it is very reminiscent of spring. But the one that excited me most from the video is Le Jardin Retrouvé Mousse Arashiyama. I love the brand, and when I heard it’s a combination of fig, lentos, and incense I was sold. I also liked reading here that the fragrance tries to capture the bamboo forest of Japan’s Arashiyama Park. I imagine it was very calming and natural smelling. I definitely pick Mousse Arashiyama for this giveaway. My insta name is alex_supernova. I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Steven and Michelyn make all three of these fragrances sound wonderful. But if I had to pick one, it would be Mousse Arashiyama. I’m intrigued, in part, because their descriptions are complementary, but rather different. Both Steven’s emphasis on the fig accord and Michelyn’s focus on the way the fragrance captures its bamboo forest inspiration are appealing to me. I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • These all sounds very interesting. I am most interested in Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays. I love Michelyn’s imagery of your toes running through freshly mown grass. The floral combo in it sounds quite lovely, especially the mimosa, and Steven claimed it to be one of the first scents that comes to mind when he thinks of spring. Bring on the warmer weather! Best of luck to everyone. I live in NC, USA. I follow on insta (thearronQ)

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

It was nice to hear and read about 3 spring fragrances that most people have never heard of before. I’m interested in winning a bottle of Hez Parfums Blue Dog. I love the bottle picture and the notes sound really interesting. I live in Maryland USA.

  • I would love to win Mousse Arashiyam, I loved how Steven explained the grass and earthy notes of Blue Dog. I loved how Michelyn explained the meaning behind Blue Dog. I am a follower and my Insta name is: insztagramekohoto
I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

  • About Mousse Arashiyama, I agree with Michelin. I had the chance to try it at Esxence and this was my favourite above all. Really ‘zen’ like, peaceful. I don’t know about the others, but Blue dog has such a nice concept and I do understand what you are saying when you say that it’s a transitional one. Art is too, indeed. Also, Ineke sounds amazing! I don’t get why there is some oud in here, which is not that ‘bright’ and light, right? Anyway. I’d like to win Le Jardin Retrouvé. I’m from EU, insta name: aappelmoes.

  • I always want to bring the outdoors indoors because I’m a big fan of the great indoors. I like that Stephen emphasized that any of these choices will keep one smelling different from the next person. A goal. Ineke Balmy Day and Sundays sounds like a perfect fragrance for springtime. Thanks for the opportunity. I live in NY.

  • Nikkole Haynes says:

Loved Steven’s quick review! I am a sucker for molecular notes and also sandalwood and ginger and would love the Hez perfume blue dog fragrance.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

These three offerings are so distinctly different from each other and offer up very unique surroundings. I’m intrigued by Hez Parfums Blue Dog’s notes that are so different from anything I’ve smelled before. I love and adore the picture being painted, a beautiful inspiration for a fragrance. • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

What a beautiful landscape, an invitation to being absorbed by your surroundings. I’d love to try Blue Dog, I live in Oregon.

  • I haven’t heard or seen these fragrances before, but Blue Dog and Balmy Days and Sundays really intrigued me!

  • Both Steven and Michelyn’s reviews offer intriguing insights into the unique fragrances they’ve curated for Spring 2024. Steven’s appreciation for Hez Parfums Blue Dog highlights its boldness and artistic inspiration, while Michelyn’s descriptions evoke the sensory experiences each perfume encapsulates, from the tranquil essence of Le Jardin Retrouvé Mousse Arashiyama to the refreshing allure of INeKE Balmy Days and Sundays. Their combined perspectives provide a well-rounded overview, making it easier for readers to find a scent that resonates with their individual preferences and desires.

I would love to win Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama

    I am from the EU

I follow cafleurebon on Instagram and my name there is lens_and_scents

  • Would love to win any of the three.
In this order: Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama, Hez Parfums Blue Dog and Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays
Blue Dog sounds the most unique to me, but I love that Mousse Arashiyama was for a real garden.
    USA

  • ncpenney1974@gmail.com says:

Oh Blue Dog must be mine as I had a beloved dog named Blu. And those notes are right up my alley. I reside here in hectic Boston Massachusetts where it’s still cold!!

  • Arian Jamali says:

All of these are such underrated gems. Thanks to Cafleurebon and Steven for introducing these to us. If i won Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays that would be awesome! By Steven’s description it’s such a pleasant scent for a day that you want lift your mood up. I’m from Windsor, Canada.

  • What a great post – I’m so ready for spring! Both the Hez Perfumes Blue Dog which sounds complex and nuanced and Mousse Arashiyama with the incense notes are intriguing. If I had the opportunity to choose, I think I’d go with Hez Perfumes Blue Dog. I live in the USA.

  • Patricia R. says:

Blue Dog is such a fun name for both painting and fragrance. Steven’s review for all three bottles made me want to go out straight away. I would love to try Mousse Arashiyama as I live in the EU. I love the contrast and variety of fig, lentiscus, incense, aquatic notes. It’s as close asI’ll probably get to a bamboo forest.

  • Amanda32828 says:

I love reading through this beautiful review and watching Steven’s video presentation. They both bring something different about the fragrances showcased in this article. For Steven, I enjoy how much time you take to provide us with a very well-researched fragrance introduction; for Michelyn, I love how you write about it; the feeling of dreaminess found in your words brings about a female fragrance perspective. Therefore, and since I really would love to bring outdoors indoors, I’d love to win Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays. Commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA.

  • Nikkole Haynes says:

Loved Steven’s quick review! I live in the US. I love fig fragrances but I like the sweeter fruity part not the leaves! But Blue dog sounds invigorating and bright! I don’t have any bergamot based scents.. and from the article really appreciated the detail description of blue dog that lets me know what the base of the perfume is bc I love ambers and especially incense!!

  • I loved the reviews for Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays because it reminded me of my childhood. Michelyn’s review transported me back to laying in the grass in the summertime and feeling the sun on my face as I watched the clouds roll by. I live in the city now, so it was a nice temporary escape! Also, Steven said it’s like sunshine in a bottle so I’m hoping to win this fragrance to live some of those memories again through the scent. I live in NY, USA.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

I always seem to learn something new when it comes to Steven and Michelyn. This article is no different. Additionally, when you offer a choice of fragrance…you make it very difficult to choose based on the quality of your descriptions. I find each fragrance to offer something that strongly appeals to me and could not choose. So, I threw up a coin twice to come up with my fragrance of choice in this giveaway. It is Blue Dog by Hez Perfumes. Should I win this is my choice 🙂
    USA

  • Hard decision! I was all in on Balmy Days & Sundays (Keep Singin Steven!) and Michelyn’s mention of bringing the outdoors in and wiggling toes through freshly mown lawn. *Sigh*. Then I watched Stevens review of Mousse Arashiyama and he mentioned it’s so good he has two bottles on reserve. Decisions, decisions. I would be happy with either. They both sound so beguiling. USA

  • Darrell Doughty says:

Hez Parfums blue dog would be my poison! It sounds amazing! Hey y’all from Arkansas

  • Michelyn gives a unique description of each of these, as a forest bath, sparkling mimosa amid fresh grass and transitional scent. All evoking what Spring embodies to those of us mired in the typical greys of winter. What better way to welcome a new season than with a new scent to celebrate the warmth and growth of it! And props to Steven for dropping a few musical notes in addition to the typical fragrance notes! Always appreciate his down to earth descriptions. Would love to try all of these, but for me I gotta give the nod to Blue Dog. Hez Parfums nailed the essence of the Quarter with Bourbon Street, and I’m excited to see how Blue Dog further captures the unique spirit of Springtine in NOLA. Cheers from Ohio! 🙂

  • All these fragrances sound fantastic. Blue dog sounds the most intriguing with the way Steven described it and the note break down. I would love to get my hands on it if I win. I live in the USA.

  • Spring gives you freshness. Its balmy breeze heals the sharp edges of winter. I just want to enhance my spring sensation by Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays!
Thanks to Michelyn and Steven for curating for my needs at this moment!

  • Oh wow all of these are so wonderful! Great choices and great reviews! It makes for a very tough choice. I’m going with Le Jardin Retrouvé. My insta is Samba.Simone and I’m in California. Thank you for the opportunity.

  • My favorite spring scents are light and airy with the promise of growth and greenery. All three chosen by Michelyn and Steven seem to have some sunny citrus and herbal notes and either greenery (Le Jardin Retrouvé and INEKE) or air (Hez). I would choose the INEKE Balmy Days and Sundays. I’m in the US.

  • Amanda Richey says:

Michelyn has a way with words and both her and Steven did a wonderful job of painting a fragrant picture of these three spring scents!

I would be happy to win any one of these but my top choice is the Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays.

  • I am always intrigued by Michelyn and Steven’s way with words and their way of capturing the readers/listeners attention. Bravo! I have actually been keeping my eyes on Mousse Arashiyama for a while now, so colored me surprised to see it here! That is of course my choice if I should win.

    I live in Sweden, EU.

  • I’ve been exploring indie houses a little more lately and He’s is one that I’ve been wanting to checkout. Love the idea of expressing the feeling of a painting through fragrance. The notes for Blue Dog sound amazing and would be a great signature scent this spring and summer. Thanks for the amazing reviews and opportunity to try these unique fragrances!

  • madamepeace says:

Wow wow wow! Hard to choose when such a beautiful collection is in front of you! I have tried none of these houses and they all sound exquisite. I would choose Ineke’s Balmy Days and Sundays. The mimosa with the florals sounds EXACTLY like my kind of spring time. Flowers are what I await expectantly every winter waiting for spring. So excited to try these! From OR, USA.

  • Thank you to both Steven and Michelyn for this review. All three of these fragrances sound spectacular for spring! Interesting that Balmy Days and Sundays is described as having notes of rose, honeysuckle and mimosa, and yet these notes are not listed by the brand. This intrigues me! Although …. the “creaminess” of the fig in Mousse Arashyiama is tempting … Thank you for this generous draw. I am guessing Balmy Days would be my first choice if I were so fortunate to win. I live in NH, USA.

  • As always I enjoy Steven’s enthusiasm and joy. Between them, the reviews convinced me that the Ineke is the one to seek this spring! They all sound wonderful, but rhubarb is such a memory for me from childhood. I live in the USA.

  • Nice selections for Spring. I hadn’t heard of Blue Dog and I just got to try a sample of Le Jardin Retrouve Mousse Arashiyama, and I often return to INeKE fragrances. Like Michelyn said in her succinct review of Balmy Days and Sundays, these are great options to bring the outdoors indoors. She caught my attention with her comments about Blue Dog; I’m intrigued by it’s bold qualities. Steven highlighted the texture of each of these fragrance (I’m going to note the creamy fig aspect of Mousse Arashiyama next time I try it). He further sold me on Blue Dog; “this is superb.” Strong recommendation!

I’m in the USA. I follow @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram as @mmerline. Should I win, I’d choose Hez Parfums Blue Dog. Thanks!

  • I love this time if the tear when the nature pushes you towards the green scents. All three of the above selection feature green with something more, either wood, rose or spuce. Mychelyn kinks all of three fragrances to everyday moods and Steven puts them side to side as it is his signature. I’m in eu and would like Mousse Arashiyama by Le Jardin Retrouvé

  • Januarililjan says:

Good review from both you. Thanks. Mouss Arashyama sounds good. I would like that one. I live in EU.

  • Ineke Balmy Days and Sundays is making me yearn for spring and warm weather
    Big Sur sagebrush intrigues me

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the nice video Steven and the great writeup Michelyn.

I really loved the story behind Le Jardin Retrouve, back when the brand was recreating a lot of the old formulas. Mousse Arashiyama truly is a scent of tranquility. Smelling me makes me imagine what a forest bath at a warm spring must feel like.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • foreverscents says:

Michelyn’s and Steven’s description of INeKE’s Balmy Days and Sundays made me think of freshly cut grass, which is one of my favorite scents of all time. I love smelling the first cut lawns of the season. This would be my first choice.
My second choice would be Blue Dog because it sounds bold. And the description has made me want to research the paintings that inspired the fragrance.
    I live in the USA.
