Montale Intense Black Aoud Extrait de Parfum Review + More is More Draw

Montale Intense Black Aoud vs Montale Black Aoud

Over the past seven weeks of “stay at home”, I have been experimenting with powerful sillage “monsters”, since I am not within 6 feet of anyone…so no complaints that my perfume is “impolite”.  I was at an event a year ago and an attendee, who in in the industry,  actually made  a comment that what I was wafting was too strong; if you want to know what it was … an Indie Tuberose linked here.

Montale is known for powerhouses and the 2006 Montale Black Aoud is among the house’s most iconic; a rose oud bombshell. In 2017, an extrait de parfum version debuted… Montale Intense Black Aoud.  Montale Intense Black Aoud is a great example of when more is more … more rose, more oud, more longevity, higher concentration and more sillage.  Try Intense Black Aoud layered with the original or on its own.

Disclosure: Sebastian requested his bottle of  Montale Intense Black Aoud. I had samples. Opinions are our his own.

Fully enjoyed Sebastian’s review as always. Montale/Mancera is a house I’ve really been intrigued about because of their beast-mode, long-lasting fragrances. This is something I’ve never experienced but am curious to try. Honestly, I’ve been using affordable daily drivers as I telework but I wouldn’t mind the change-up. Appreciate the opportunity for the giveaway! -Virginia, USA

  • Love intense fragrances, and some of my choices are beast mode, lol. The rose and oud play well with the patchouli, per Sebastian. The Extrait version is more intense. I like the idea of mandarin orange in this scent. I’m caregiving, so I’m not alone, but distancing while grocery shopping. Thanks for another great draw, Mich USA

Thoroughly enjoyed Sebastian’s review of Montale Intense black Aoud. I own Black Aoud and agree with Sebastian its quite a beastly fragrance, but it can always get even more beastlier for me “if that makes sense” LOL.
In Sebastian’s reviews I always enjoy the audio clarity, the presentation and attention to detail in covering every aspect of a perfume, and only thing left to do usually is to try it before you shell out money. I have in the past and rarely regretted. Can’t wait to try this one.

Greetings! As a fan of Montale fragrances and of Sebastian’s You Tube site, his review of Montale’s Black Aoud caught my attention and inspires me to want a bottle of the juice. Of note, I am social distancing alone in Bristol, Tennessee. At the moment, today, I am wearing Lalique’s Encre Noire A L’Extreme. Stay well!

  • Sebastian had a great review. He has a way of making you feel like you can almost smell the fragrance just by how he explains it, even if you’ve never smelt anything like it before. It’s awesome. I don’t have any powerhouse fragrances or even any niche fragrances for that matter. This would be my first. ;). I am home with my family, we are staying home and practicing social distancing!

  • I love how informative he is, and honest if he likes a fragrance or not.Plus I never tried Montale but I like rose fragrances and Amber fragrance nice to see how it smells on my skin.

  • frixyminnow says:

damn if sebastian says it’s beastlier than beast, it must be!! sounds awesome with that mandarin note. i actually dont own any rose ouds and would like to. I have not been wearing powerhouses in confinement but I have been trying oddball ones that most people would not find pleasant since i dont have to be near too many people! I live in CT, USA.

  • Herb Juneau says:

Sebastian is truly wonderful at giving insight into a fragrance. I am a school teacher and been loving fragrance since I was a little boy remembering shaking my principals hand in the first grade walking away and smelling my hand(he wore old spice, the OG beast mode fragrance). I can’t afford these fragrances but if I could I would definitely have Montale fragrances in my collection. I would love to be entered in the giveaway. Thanks so much Sebastian and stay safe during this time.

  • I really enjoy the “beast” Black Aoud, so the review leaves me curious. Maybe I’ll agree that more is more? In general I’m not hesitant to wear big fragrances.

  • Gor Galstyan says:

Seb is the most knowledgeable reviewer out there on youtube.
I have mainly but montales for my wife and while social distancing and staying at home, I started to be surrounded more with the smells of Montale 🙂 and I love them. Would love to have this one for me.

  • What I like about his review is how detailed, he describe the fragrance very neatly without making it boring.

  • jeremy campbell says:

Sebastian has a way of always piquing my interest like no other. Super interested in at least a sample of this as I adore really intense frags

  • Definitely interesting that there is not a big difference but it’s more powerful. I really am wearing my favorite beast fragrances cuz no one can smell me but me

  • Shamrock1313 says:

Sebastian’s reviews are always on point and was to meet him in person at ScentXplore.
I’m a fan of Black Aoud, but haven’t tried intense. I do like lemon line up from Montale.
Thanks for the giveaway and stay safe!

As Sebastian said if you like your fragrances beastly then go give it a try and what better way to try in quarantine than hoping you win this draw. Have been a fan of Montale fragrances, own Aoud Leather and love it and also sampled few others and definitely agree with many that this house gives a great value being a niche house

  • More is more…sounds great!
I like the idea of orange peel with my rose oud fragrance. I enjoy powerhouse scents, maybe because I do live alone.

  • Anastasiia Novosad says:

Hi! I love so much to watch Sebastian’s videos… I actually always waiting for a new one to show up…
I tried few perfumes from Montale and I like the longevity of them..
I really love oud perfumes so I am sure I would love this one as well… I am wearing now the roses musk intense, it is a very pleasant scent!!

  • Leonicia Blue says:

Sebastian’s videos are very descriptive. I don’t have the opportunity to smell these fragrances prior to purchase so I like to watch his reviews first. I love the intense versions of fragrances because my body just eats up most fragrances up. I can only wear these fragrances on non work days of course and sense I am furloughed until I don’t know when, I am wearing all my beast mode fragrances.

  • Hi there- I enjoyed Sebastian’s review because he clarified a point of confusion for me i.e. what was the difference between the two and which Montale Oud should I pick. I DO love sillage breasts and hate it when my fragrances die on my skin so fast. My family is social distancing but my significant other thinks I am impacting his health with my love of fragrances so I have to be careful. But no matter! I would still love a bottle of this should I be so lucky to win it! I live in the state of WA.

  • Got a few decanter samples after watching Sebastian’s review of some oud fragrances. Love Montale’s Honey Oud and Black Oud, though haven’t tried the Intense version of the latter, so this drawing is awesome. Find Black Oud quite rosy and lovely – find these intense versions very uplifting indeed. Actually like Mancera oud fragrances too. Liked this review also as Sebastian is so humble, acknowledging he didn’t know about this fragrance until recently. Appreciate the draw and the reviews – writing from USA.

  • HiMyNameIsWaste says:

A zingier, longer-lasting version of Black Aoud sounds great. I wear powerhouse perfumes all the time, self-isolation or not, though I have worn Hacivat and Nepal Aoud a few times since being in quarantine.

I live in Nashville, TN, USA.

  • Sabastian always delivers with great note breakdowns! I love oriental, woody notes and always prefer BEAST mode protection. One of my favorite Beasts is Mancera Red Tobacco and I think Intense Black Oud would be a great sister pairing as well as a perfect introduction to Montale. I am working from home and definitely social distancing for several weeks now along with my wife & 12 yr old daughter. Fragrances have been & will continue to be my outlet & comfort!! I appreciate the opportunity in the giveaway!! Tennessee, USA

  • Dennis Griffin says:

Really love Sebastians you tube channel and his guest.Ive just started my collection of scents Iam up to 23 new scents I only have had what other people would suggest I didnt know scents could be so complicated and expensive. With Sebastian help its becoming a fun journy. Things are becoming more affordable. I dont sweat a lot so Iam thinking beast is what I need to look at more thanks for the help.

  • spencer2294 says:

I love watching Sebastian’s content, and something I enjoyed was learning about this fragrance house. Within the past year I’ve been diving deeper into the fragrance world, and have collecting bottles along the way. I love oud, rose, patchouli, vetiver, and citrus notes. This fragrance has many of those notes, so I am intrigued by black oud intense, and Montale in general with their intense fragrances. Since staying at home, I’ve been wearing less projecting fragrances, but I would be wearing this if I won the giveaway. Hope everyone is doing okay with this virus situation.
    Good health and best wishes,
    Spencer

  • Vincent Xu says:

I thought the review was extremely informative. I had smelled the original and wanted to know what the intense was like. I have not smelled many things much stronger than the original and the intense must be insane!

  • HI: I enjoyed Sebastian’s review. How he compared Intense black Aoud to black Aoud. I would like to try Montale Intense Black AOud and enter giveaway. Today while staying home, I am wearing Tom Ford Neroli Portfolio

  • Angelico Smith says:

His described the fragrance so well. I felt like I could smell it through my phone. Sebastian is a over sprayer like me and that’s one of the reasons why I love his reviews so much. I can relate to him so well.

  • Great review from Seb once again my favorite fragrance reviewer. The man knows his fragrances. Montale is a great house with unique long lasting sents. Los Angeles USA

  • Wow, I would loooove to try this! I have 5 little girls, am social distancing and finding fragrance to be so mentally therapeutic! I also dont have the ability to spray perfume all the time, as my hands are always full, so silage is so important for me! I am crossing my fingers for this one!!! Thanks for the opportunity! I’m in Florida USA

  • I have the original and from Sebastian review, the interplay between rose and oud in Black Oud Extrait seems loyal to the original composition, only more intense. I am wearing perfumes as I usually wear so there has been no change in my perfume routine. USA

  • Elliot Kay says:

I love that Sebastian went into as much detail he could about the differences between the original and intense versions. I don’t really have any powerhouse fragrances to wear more of, but if I was living alone and had them I certainly would!

  • Lamar Williams says:

I’m fairly new to fragrances so I liked how Sebastian gave his honest opinions about the difference between Black Aoud and Black Aoud Intense. I would love to try both, but honestly right now I know I can’t afford them.

  • I’ve always love Sebastian’s reviews. This particular fragrance looks right up my alley

  • ivansabulic says:

I like beast mode fragrances i am wearing jacqes bogart pour home sometimes it is realy strong and I can just imagine what montal smells like I like how Sebastian described intensity of fragrance in video. I am 21 living with my mom and hoping corona ends soon.

  • paperskate says:

Loved the videos that Sebastian puts out they are amazing and very insight and inspiring! I have Intense Cafe. That Sebastian always raved about and that has become one of my favorite fragrances. So watching this video definitely makes me want really get my hands on a bottle of Black Oud! And yes I just found out about black out intense today!

  • I love Oud and Rose combinations. The stronger the better! I’m now social distancing and working from home, and I wear more fragrance now than ever, just for my own enjoyment. Tom Ford and Nasomatto are my favorites now.

I liked that Sebastian’s review was very clear about what to expect from Montale and Intense Black Aoud in particular, I wasn’t familiar with the brand or the perfume.

I’m a subscriber in the USA.

  • IvanVelikov says:

The original Black Aoud is a fragrance with cult following, for a good reason I believe. It’s one if the best Montale’s…well after Chocolate Greedy , Honey Aoud and my favorite Intense Cafe.
Amped up …. everything intrigues me a lot.
Wonderful opportunity , and again great job by Sebastian, for him that’s normal.
    USA

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews! This one was especially great because I absolutely love beast mode fragrances and Montale is one of the best. I haven’t tried either version of Black Aoud, but Sebastian saying that the intense version has a stronger mandarin orange note really appeals to me. I love rose as well, and this fragrance sounds amazing. I personally have been wearing a lot more beast mode fragrances such as Xerjoff More Than Words and BR540. I would love to be entered into this draw as the fragrance sounds beautiful. Kind regards from Illinois, USA.

  • Sebastian’s review really piqued my interest in this fragrance. He really knows his stuff when it comes to describing fragrances and this one sounds great. I’ve never tried anything from this house before but I’d love to try it out. The only powerhouse that I have tried is Creed Aventus. As for social distancing I live out in the country so it’s not a problem staying in. Thanks for the great review and the great giveaway. Commenting from Kentucky USA.

  • Sometimes you need a powerhouse fragrance! Enjoyable, enlightening review as always, Sebastian. I always forget about Montale fragrances but they do have some solid offerings. I’ve not tried Black Aoud but you can’t go wrong with rose and oud. I’m in MD USA.

  • Oud and rose fragrances are my favorite type of fragrance. I could wear them any day, all day, everyday. Montale is one of my favorite house because of this. I can’t wait to try Intense Black Oud. Thank you Sebastian for this video and all your videos. Very informative and I can tell you really love what your doing and I do too.

  • I thought the nuanced comparison between Montale Intense Black Aoud and the original Black Aoud is useful. Other than Amouage, I mainly wear the traditional Guerlains that are not so much powerhouse fragrances, so I thought Montale would be interesting to check out. My family and I have been strictly adhering to social distancing for the last several weeks…and hopefully we no longer have to do that too much longer. Regards from the USA.

  • schachere62 says:

I would love this. I’m sure it smells great. Never tried an oud fragrance ,but I’m sure this is nice!

  • First and foremost, that KS for the giveaway! I enjoyed most what I always do, the scent breakdown! Sebastian is my go to for anything niche! I live alone and I have been self- quarantined. I enjoy all strengths of perfumery but let’s be honest, we want that great performing frag! I have been using 6 scents at a time.. 3 up and down each arm. Just reminding myself of what each one of my frags have to offer.

  • I love Sebastian’s review because I know we share similar tastes for beastly patchouli frags. His energy shines though. Thanks!

  • Like the comparison between the regular and the intense…it always seems so subjective when an ‘intense’ flanker is released. I definitely prefer beastly fragrances. My family is social distancing. AZ

  • Bryant Worley says:

What I enjoyed about Sebastian’s review was his honesty that the smel is the same as the original, just amplified with a little extra something. Unfortunately, I’ve never tried the original, but am always on the look out for something that will be more intense. I don’t have a lot of truly powerhouse fragrances of this caliber, but I do have a few ‘be careful with your sprays’ frags in my collection (i.e., Bentley for Men Intense, etc). Currently, I work 2 jobs part-time (three days a week), and live with my wife. The other 4 days are spent social distancing. I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.

  • I’ve learned a lot from this guy. I liked hearing the intense is very similar, just more intense.. Often messed up

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s review for his passion with fragrances, his enjoyable presentation style, and his comparing and contrasting Black Oud with Intense Black Oud. Social distancing is now the norm, and I am wearing more of my fragrances and appreciating them even more! Love to try Intense Black Oud. I live in TX, USA.

  • I am very new to Sebastian’s channel but it has quickly become one of my favorites. I love Montale and their HUGE variety of amazing quality fragrances, there is one fragrance for all ages and tastes.

  • Camille Sheil says:

Yes, what I enjoyed most about Sebastians review was this ‘more is more’ idea. An extrait of a monster?! They smell relatively the same, he said, but just more. I have no idea what more of a beast would be. It would seem that my nose would blank out! But, I am certainly more than willing to try!

Yes, I am wearing stronger Fragrances without a care. Social distancing gives me space, like ladies skirts and their trains did in the olden days. It’s not entirely devoid of benefits! Thank you for this amazing opportunity! Much appreciated! I live in New Hampshire USA!

  • This is my 435678 attempt at winning a bottle hahaha. I love my Black Aoud, it was one of my first niche… Sebastian’s reviews are kind of intriguing, kind of those of a food critic hehehe. When he talks about that zingy, Mandarin peel…yum! I said: I want some. Winning or not, I’m getting a bottle.

  • Williamnguyen says:

Just enjoying Serbastian’s review as always. So interesting and helpful.
Not jet try black Aoud of Montale yet, but so in love of Rose + Oud combo: Musk oud by Kilian, amber oud from Roja.
Curious to explore more on Montale Black aoud and intense version also.

  • Love Sebastian’s way of delineating the notes and making you really understand how the particular fragrance smells. This is beast mode and how exciting that is. I’m actually wearing less perfume as we isolate. I seem to forget to put it on. Enjoyed the review. Thanks for a great draw. I’m in the USA

  • Edward Market says:

Montale makes strong fragrances made to stand out. I love their cafe ristretto intense !

  • His reviews are always great. Love beast modes. That’s what keeps me happy during this quarantine.
    Take care. Be safe.

  • I had no idea there was even an intense version of this, so glad I checked in for the latest on Sebastian’s channel. I love Black Aoud and huge beast mode fragrances in general. I’m especially curious about the increased mandarin in the intense flanker, I really like the rose/mandarin in the original and the almost “steamy” soapy vibe I get from that accord. I’m currently wearing Black Aoud layered with Ombre Leather; an absolutely gorgeous combo.

  • Francisco Diaz says:

Very informative review. I love oud and rose fragrances, but have yet to purchase anything from Montale Paris. I typically try to stay away from Extrait De Parfum as they tend to be overbearing. Again I do like oud and would love to try this.

  • diegopineda says:

What I liked about Sebastian fragrance is his description of the fragrance, very detailed. I think it has an interesting note breakdown with the rose oud and the mandarin orange. I am not using any powerhouse fragrance for the social distancing time but I would to win this one.

    From GA, USA

  • Mainly since he makes it sound a lot like the original Black Aoud. I think that’s one of Montale’s best fragrances. I agree that it is super powerful. It’s daring but I have always gotten great reactions with it.
And I’ve been going overboard with the powerhouses during the lockdown. I live alone though, so it doesn’t really matter.
Im in the US, thanks for the draw

  • I can totally relate to trying more beastly perfume while wfh it’s actually really made for a small way to entertain myself by trying strong scents. Please excuse me from this draw I just wanted to say I understand :

  • I’m loving the rose feature this week in general. It wasn’t until I began listening to the fragrance community out there that I realized there are ~many~ rose scents for us guys to enjoy. Having been intrigued by oud and not yet experiencing these two together I am deeply interested in this Black Oud. Especially in an extrait form

  • Hello, I really enjoyed how Sebastian compared Intense Black Aoud to the original. Montale Black Aoud was my first Rose/Aoud fragrance that I purchased so many years ago. It’s still one of my favorites to this day (along with White Aoud). I’d love to try the Intense. I live with my family and we are social distancing from others during this time.

  • I don’t own any Montale fragrances but I’ve always heard such great things about it and never had the chance to try them out. I love intense fragrances so that’s what really got my attention for this fragrance. I’m social distancing at home with family but still spraying something on everyday to feel a little more sane.

  • I don’t own any Montale fragrances but I’ve always heard such great things about it and never had the chance to try them out. • The original version is indeed powerful. Would welcome winning this draw.
I have been social distancing for years, long before it was fashionable. US

  • Thanks for another great review, Sebastian. I sampled Black Aoud years ago, liked it immediately, and thought of picking up a bottle…but I never have. I appreciate the opportunity to win a bottle of the Intense version (which I haven’t tried), especially if it’s as similar to the original as Sebastian suggests. I’m sheltering in place in Oklahoma, USA.

  • silverpanos says:

Really enjoyed Sebastian’s review. Apparently he wasn’t the only one sleeping on the Intense version. I’ve owned Mancera Black to Black for ages which led me to also buy Montale Black Aoud soon after. Both of them are among my favorite fragrances, so it really makes me wanna try the Montale Intense Black Aoud too!

  • I do enjoy long lasting fragrances, but some of their releases can smell really generic. I do love rose and aoud, but I’ve never smelled the regular black aoud. I rarely wear fragrances nowadays, though. USA

  • INTENSE. It loved the way he differentiated between two such similar fragrances. And yes, I am wearing more intense fragrances myself, wafting around the house in my caftan, feeling ultra-glamorous. -KS US

  • Love Sebastian’s informative videos. The only difference is the Intense smells a lot louder than the original. Also it has more oil than the original. Love Montale / Mancera fragrances. I have sampled the original and I love heavy fragrances especially when it is cold. I only own 3 from these houses. We practice social distancing. We only go out if we need to grocery. Just chilling at home watching Netflix or YouTube videos. IL, USA

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the great and honest review Sebastian. I enjoyed the fact that you compared both the original and intense versions and mentioned who the intense version would cater to.

I wonder, do the intense version have other chemicals such as fixatives etc compared to the regular version than intensifies the aspects of the perfume?

    Regards from WI, USA

  • Hendrix Wilson says:

Sebastian always has informative videos about fragrance. This video was no different. I most enjoyed how he explained the small differences between the 2. I have yet to obtain a powerhouse like this.

  • TE Withrow says:

I have never tried a rose oud combination. I love how excited Sebastian is about what he talks about. I am social distancing and live with my husband who is sensitive to smells. But one day, I’ll be able to wear what I want when I leave the house… I live in Illinois US.

  • From Sebastian review, the interplay between rose and oud in Black Oud Extrait seems loyal to the original composition, only more intense. I am wearing perfumes as I usually wear so there has been no change in my perfume routine. Today I am wearing Amouage Interlude. I am an oud lover! I am taking advantage of the lockdown to try more fragrances at home that are not necessarily pleasing to others. USA

  • patrick_348 says:

This was a pretty simple, uncomplicated review, but Sebastian did a good job of explaining the difference between the two versions of hte same scent. I have occasionally been wearing a more intense fragrance when I know I will be seeing people in social distancing situations because I don’t have to worry about overspraying. Also, being alone in the house is a great time to experiment with odd layerings. I was able to make a fragrance I don’t like much better by combining it with another. I live in North Carolina, in the US.

  • A big fan of the rose-aoud combo. I have Black Aoud.
Looking forward to try the intense.

    From the USA

  • Montale and Mancera Fragrances Are Beast Mode. They Project and Last. Unfortunately I Haven’t Been Able to Explore Them. This Sounds Really Strong. Thanks, Ca

  • Black Aoud Intense sounds my cup of tea “Beast Mode” 🙂 , and I also know the predecessor well . Expectations are high .
Montale is one of my favorite houses – atm i do own 11 100ml bottles. Not sure what’s my favorite one , i was wearing Mukhallat on Tuesday .
Yes i wear more powerful fragrances right now , even when i’m running , and i run 6 days per week.
    Already follow @cafleurebon , @lookfeelsmellgreat , @Offical_ europerfumes and @montaleparfumsparis on IG
    Thanks for the draw.
    Stuck in USA

  • I enjoy “beast mode” powerhouse fragrances and Montale one of my favorite houses.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews on YouTube. Montale is a house that I have experienced I have montale fougeres marines and montale wood and spices. I do want to venture into the oud category, I feel like montale is a house with some great oud fragrances. I do like the fact that the fragrances are beast mode and have longevity. A powerhouse fragrance that I wear would be baccarat rouge 540 by maison francis kurkdjian and vers le sud by jacques fath.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always well produced and thought out. I am new at the fragrance game and I have not yet had the chance to experience a quality rich oud, but I do really like patchouli and rose. My wife loves rose. Thanks for doing the givaway as always. Tennessee, USA.

  • bigscoundrel says:

I like how passionate Sebastian was about the intensity of this fragrance and all of the different notes at play in Intense Black Aoud. I definitely am enjoying more powerhouse fragrances while home these days. New Jersey, USA.

  • Montale fragrances , and Sebastian reviews = perfect combination. Both I love – bold , straight to the point , honest , and you do remember both for a long time.
I have no experience with original , both Black Aoud’s are new to me.
In my collection there’s 3 Montale fragrances, Ristretto Intense Cafe, Mukhalat and Amandes Orientales . All are sweet , long lasting clubbing fragrances , and that’s exactly what I personally except from Intense Black Aoud .
I live with my girlfriend, and she’s wearing only really powerful fragrances . I don’t think I changed my habits at all.
Thank you Sebastian , Europerfumes and Cafleurebon . What a chance. In US

  • I enjoyed Sebastian enthusiasim about Maontale Black Aoud Intense. He already loves the fragrance and now the fragrance seems very much the same as the original. Interesting! More intense but he still loves the original. I have been wearing more intese fragrances, one is Ex Idolo, Love and Crime. I do think Montale is a great house, I enjoy Intense cafe . Thanks so much for the giveaway. USA

  • redwheelbarrow says:

I love monstrous fragrances! I haven’t had the chance to try this one but I love the way Montale does Rose and oud. I’ve been spending a lot of time experimenting with layering as well. As always I love Sebastian’s review. Thank you for the draw. I’m in the US.

  • As always, love Sebastian’s fragrance review. I haven’t tried any Montale fragrances. As I love Rose and patchouli, Montale Black Aoud will be a fragrance I will enjoy. Thank you for the giveaway. California USA

  • Dark Aoud , because of the patchouli maybe to me smells like dark chocolate rose cake , with real rose water in it. The zingyness of the mandarin in Intense version could add freshly squeezed mandarin juice to it 😉
I love potent fragrances, so my appreciation for Montale comes naturally. Own 5 , and Dark Purple is my favorite one.
Like i said i love loud fragrances , and will do in the future.
Appreciate the review , and the giveaway campaign

    Aloha!
Sebastian sent me! I’ve been joking around on his page about what to wear to project 6ft in these quarentine days. Not sure if he saw my comments but happy to see him joke around like this.
Sebastian and redolesence turnes me onto montale and I’ve loved the few I’ve tried. Ive smelled oud on people and it has been fantastic so Im here in Florida trying to win this bottle.

Aloha everyone! Thanks for considering me.

  • wildevoodoo says:

I’m definitely wearing more powerhouse fragrances now that I’m social distancing! The only person who could complain is my roommate. I hadn’t known that Intense Black Aoud existed either! Of course I had heard of the famous original. The rose-oud-patch combination is always an appealing classic, and the more citrusy ‘zingy’ quality from the mandarin in Intense Black Oud sounds very appealing to me, as I love citrus notes in fragrances. The extrait concentration also sounds appealing to me because of how long it lasts (even though Montales last quite long already, lol). I live in the US! 🙂

  • Bought a lot of fragrances because of Sebastian – mostly niche. He has a way to convince people they should buy , or at least try fragrances he’s reviewing.
Patchouli , rose and oud , super loud , yet really pleasing , i’m curious to try Intense Black Aoud .
At the moment i do own 3 Montale fragrances Chocolate Greedy , Oudmazing and Vanilla Extasy .My favorite one is Oudmazing .
I live with my family, and as far as fragrances nothing is changed, I have 4yo daughter and she likes smelling my fragrances, most of at least. She really likes rose fragrances, and gourmands.
    Great opportunity – thank you.
    Cheers from VA

Sebastian, I loved your review of Montale’s Intense Black Aoud. I love the concept of getting the classic Montale Black Aoud DNA of Rose, Oud, and Patchouli intensified along with adding adding some mandarin to compliment the fragrance. This sounds really appealing to me. I do enjoy powerhouse fragrances. I do find myself wearing them more often during this COVID-19 isolation at home. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • Every time I think about Montale I think about top performance. Vanilla Cake lasts forever on me , Sensual Instinct is super strong too. Sampled the second one because of Sebastian Cafleurebon review , and it was so impressive I got it next week.
Judging by the flames in Sebastian eyes we have a fragrance with nuclear performance. I have a feeling the extrait version of Black Aoud will be even stronger than Vanilla Cake and Sensual Instinct.
I’m not alone, but since ….. I started wearing fragrances to bed , something I’ve never done before.
Thank you for the generosity, the review was enjoyable too

Sebastian had a great review. I’m in California, USA

  • Love the fact that he tells it honest. The house of montale has become one of my favorite houses out there. I’m all about beast mode scents.

  • I love watching Sebastian’s fragrance reviews and don’t have a lot of montale fragrances so I hope I get the chance in winning myself a bottle of my own but I will always be a loyal subscriber to Sebastian because he’s helped me a lot in choosing fragrances to my liking-Texas USA

  • I’ve wanted to try Montale since I watched another of Sebatian’s reviews. Have never heard him say the name of a fragrance so many times. Intense sounds perfect. The fact that he could smell traces the following day makes it a keeper. I’m so tired of fragrances falling off within an hour. Mandarin with the rose is a a bonus.
I’m already a homebody and work from home. I do like to smell awesome every day for my own enjoyment but my husband likes it too. I always have some fragrance on. USA

Being a vain person I do admit getting compliments is important to me, and one of the reasons to get, or not certain fragrance. One thing is for certain, Montale fragrances do get me lots of positive attention, at least in my surroundings . The are also quite powerful, projecting for hours.
Black Aoud Intense I’m drawn to because it’s bold almost to the point of no return, but still smelling fantastic.
My favorite Montale is Sensual Instinct, but the that gets me most compliments is Wild Pears.
I’m not sure if I’m using more powerhouse fragrances, never thought about it. I think I actually do.
Exciting giveaway, thanks. I’m in USA
    Regards

  • I absolutely adore Sebastian reviews as they are well done and this Montale intense black oud is no exception. Sebastian describes the scent profile of this powerhouse so well. I am very interested as I dont have a powerhouse frag. I don’t live alone but as a Nurse I have to practice social distance. Thanks for the draw and please be safe. CA, USA

  • I always love Sebastian’s reviews, especially comparison reviews. I don’t have a Rose and Oud combo yet so I’d like to try this, but I feel like this one I’ll definitely need to apply lightly, but I do like it when the perfumes last and I don’t need to reapply. I’ve been trying all my fragrances even though I am at home (but with my family)… some are softer and some are loud! I am in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Comparisons are always great. It’s interesting to hear how similar they are in terms of smell. Personally, the intense version sounds a little better due to the more prominent mandarin note. Montale Black Aoud is definitely on the list of fragrances I’ve been wanting to try. I don’t have any super strong fragrances but I definitely have been spraying a lot more on. Minnesota, U.S.

  • I live with my hubby and two kids and we’re all practicing social distancing.
I fully enjoyed Sebastian’s review and it inspires my to get a bottle because it’s long lasting.
I also love the combination of oud and rose.

  • Great review, as always. Black Oud is one of my favorite perfumes!! I would love to try the intense version.
