“It may be possible to gild pure gold, but who can make his mother more beautiful?” – Mahatma Gandhi

I first met Map of the Heart Co-Founder and Creative Director Sarah Blair at Esxence in 2015, the same year that Map of The Heart Gold Heart V.4 was launched. In 2014, along with Jeffrey Darling, the Australian film producers, writers and designers focused their talents and artistic vision on perfume.  In collaboration with team: Givaudan master perfumer Jacques Huclier (the nose behind many of MUGLER fragrances including A*Men in 1996, and the top notch flankers including A*Men Pure Havane) and the renowned Perfumed Plume award winning flacon designer Pierre Dinand (YSL Opium among many others)  who has said “From the 700 perfume lines I have designed over 50 years, this bottle was one of the most technically difficult. This project asked as much of me as YSL Opium or Eternity by Calvin Klein. I am very proud.”

This dream team created a series of perfumes that navigates a fragrant topography of human emotions, textures and feelings.  We chose to feature Map of the Heart Gold Heart V.4 to represent the scent of Mother’s Day 2020 (in the USA May 10, 2020) as the central accord is milky (lactonic) and immediately evokes the eternal bond between mother and child. –Michelyn Camen, Editor, in Chief

Disclosure: Opinions are his own and a bottle was sent to Sebastian at our request.

Editor’s Note: We have reviewed Black Heart (Sebastian Jara), Red Heart, (Sebastian) Pink Heart (Lauryn Beer) and White Heart (Gail Gross)

I really liked how Sebastian described the type of tea he was getting and how he described the milk accord. If this is as delicious as their purple heart, it should be lovely.
    Sending this from Cyprus.
My mother deserves a gold heart for the gold heart she already has.

  • lykkemari says:

Just like my mother I am a great teaholic! Tea fragrances will always be my favorite. Spicy, milky chai….sounds like perfection. This is my first time hearing of this house, so I’ll read the other reviews, too.

I have been following Sébastien for years now. I always enjoy his reviews, his in depth descriptions of notes, his knowledge and most of all the calm way he talks. Same with this review! Unfortunately my mother passed away a few years ago, but her heart was pure gold. She would deserve a fragrance like that.

  • That was a WILD breakdown that Sebastian just did. And I don’t know many others that could have done it so quickly. A lot going on here.

I’ll just have to break it down to my mom as a spicy Chai tea thing.

My mom deserves it because she’s simply the best and deserves nice things.

  • FRANCIS YANG says:

My mom deserves this because she’s been farming for 20 plus years and smells like the earth. It is time for a change.

  • Teddykat says:

I loved Sebastian’s expressive description of this scent ! So unique and beautiful. Its difficult to find sweet, milky comforting notes like these. I know my Mother would love it !

  • It’s a shame there’s only one heart for this giveaway, because I know several (soon to be) moms who deserve a gold heart. But my own mother would deserve this the most. She truly has a heart of gold and I can’t wait to visit her again when the lock-down is over.

Great review. Strong emphasis on what to expect of this fragrance. Warm Milk and Spices like a Chai Tea. Sounds delicious!

Thank you for the draw and happy Mothers Day to all mothers!
    I live in the UK.

  • I’m OBSESSED with these bottles. I can’t wait to pick one up! Sebastian does an awesome job at describing the fragrance, as usual! My mother deserves gold heart because she has struggled with her mental health throughout her life and has done all she can to be a good mother throughout it. She would love and relish this. I am from Canada.

  • drewdow01 says:

I liked the idea of what the heart represents. Never tried the house before but am definitely interested. Black heart as well. Utah USA

  • Toni Uyliapco says:

Sebastian is well respected in the fragrance community for his knowledge. I have never heard of this brand before until I watched his video. That’s one thing I like about Sebastian’s channel. I think it’s extremely unique gift idea for mothers. Like what Sebastian said, the golden heart is a perfect symbol for mothers for their unconditional love. The scent profile seems perfect for moms too. The milky cream quality scent seems comforting and the symbolism of milk is nurturing life throughout the years of our life. I personally will always be grateful to my mom and even my grandmother for the work and love they did to raise me and continue to support me even on my adult years. They truly deserve a golden heart. Thank for opening this giveaway to the Canadians. I am from British Columbia, Canada!

  • Chrissie says:

    I’m Chrissie from Arizona.
I love how Sebastian describes everything about this fragrance- heavy cream/chai/spices & he is just so excited about it (heading to the kitchen after I type this for an iced version)! Sounds like a 10 out of 10. The anatomical gold heart is simply brilliant. My mother passed recently, so this will be a difficult holiday BUT my daughter works in healthcare and is a fantastic mother to my grandson. It would be amazing to gift this to her. Thank you for hosting this generous giveaway. XO

  • Wilson Siavichay says:

First time that I heard this house, but how Sebastian describe this perfume would be a wonderful gift for a Mother

  • Leonicia Blue says:

He described this as a delicious spicy chai tea. Definitely looking forward to smelling this one when I get a chance. My moms deserve everything because of the sacrifices she made for our family. Good mother’s are the heart or the glue of the family. My mom is definitely that and so much more. I’m from Ohio, USA.

  • Halsey77 says:

Sebastian’s review really piqued my interest in this fragrance. He really knows his stuff when it comes to describing fragrances and this one sounds great. My wife would really love a fragrance that has white floral and tobacco. Thanks for the great review and the great giveaway. Commenting from Kentucky USA.

  • Georgie J says:

I appreciate how Sebastian described the spices and milky effect. Something I am very interested in!

  • cederjader says:

I love how educated Sebastian is on how each of these notes – that I would generally think are so random – work together to form a wonderful scent. My wife loves fragrances and deserves a gold heart because she is the most supportive person I’ve ever met. She’s dealt with me being gone with the military for extended amounts of time and always keeps the family and house in order. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers out there!

  • This sounds like a more intense Remember Me, which would be fantastic. I love cardamom in perfume. My mom deserves a gold heart because he has always gone above and beyond 1000% to take care of those around her.

Thank you! I am in Oregon.

  • patrick_348 says:

I enjoyed how Sebastian described the fragrance in terms that were clear and vivid. He made me want to try it. My mom, who if she were alive would haved turned 100 years old yesterday, deserves a heart for teaching me so much and accepting me as I am. And my daughters deserve hearts for being so loving. I am in the US, in NC.

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Wowww , i love tea , spices and milk !!! So i would really love to put my nose on this !!
    New york., usa .

  • astro_girl says:

Milky accords don’t work with everyone, but I absolutely love them on women for whom they work. My mother has sacrificed so much for us kids, has been awaiting open heart surgery for 8 weeks and counting due to COVID postponement. Scents like Sebastian described make me want to envelope someone with a lingering hug, as I would love to do for my mom to comfort her. If won, I would send this directly to her. I live in Northern Virginia, USA.

  • Love the gourmand cardamom sounds of this one! I’m in AZ, USA. My mom has unconditionally supported me through everything!

  • I love that this brand originates from Australia. As a fellow Australian, I feel a sense of pride when I see a perfume house like Map of the Heart do so well both onshore and offshore. I own a bottle of Pink Heart V.6 and I absolutely adore it. A stunning blend of narcissus, tobacco and white florals.

Sebastian’s description of Gold Heart V.4 as a ‘creamy, milky and woody experience’ sounds just about perfect. I love lactonic fragrances like Lanvin’s Oxygene and Ava Luxe Love’s True Bluish Light. I also loved Sebastian’s comparison of Gold Heart V.4 to a ‘spicy, dark chai’. My mouth waters at the thought of it.

My mother definitely deserves a gold heart for Mother’s Day. With the COVID-19 restrictions, I haven’t been able to travel interstate to visit her or offer physical support. She also lost her older brother last week, so it has been an extremely difficult time for the entire family. She has remained positive throughout this entire process but I know deep down she is devastated that she is unable to attend her brother’s funeral or spend Mother’s Day with me due to the virus risk. Perfume is a passion we share with one another and I would happily pass on my bottle of Gold Heart V.4 if I were lucky enough to win.

Good luck to all and I hope all the mothers out there will be have a wonderful Mother’s Day.

    I reside in Melbourne, Australia.

  • Wow. I have never tried this house sadly but would love the bottle of Map of the Heart Gold Heart V. 4. The design is stunning, so feminine and organic. I loved Sebastian’s review expressing how this perfume is perfect for a mother because of the way it evokes emotion. My mom deserves a gold heart because she has a heart of gold so it would be the perfect gift for her. A chai lover, the note composition sounds like her cup of tea! She loves creamy scents!
I live in Miami, FL, USA.

  • Sebastian has a great voice and his videos are great to listen to, he has a true passion! Unfortunately Mother’s Day has passed here in the UK. But I would love to gift this to my wife, she is an amazing mother day in day out. So maybe she deserves 2 Mother’s Days this year 🙂

I’m from Wales in the UK

  • Trinity33 says:

I love the bottle! Sebastian gives a very thorough review as always. I appreciate the link to mother’s day with milky and spicy tea notes. I’m in MD, USA.

  • Sibyl Haynes says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s review because he made me curious to smell a “woody lactonic” accord, particularly a rich, fatty milky note. As a mother of two who breast fed each child for over 3 years, I love how my own natural milk was the easiest and best way to feed them. I also love the heart bottle. My mother deserves this because she too choose to nurse me and my brother in the late 60’s/ early’70’s when women were encouraged to give formula. My mother spawned my interest in art and in our hereditary Greek culture, and I know she would love this, because she is also incredibly beautiful and stylish. I live in Seattle, WA.

  • NiceVULady says:

My daughter deserves this as she works, goes to school part time, and raises a wonderful young woman. Additionally she shops for me, runs my errands, and takes care of me and her step-dad. She has a heart of gold. Thank you for the draw. I’m in the USA.

  • Jake Dauod says:

I love how Sebastian describes fragrances. In this video, he does a great job at pushing that the fragrance has a very creamy and fatty feel, while also being very rich and full of spices. I am a huge fan of spices in fragrances (cinnamon is my favorite) and I am interested to see how they smell in juxtaposition with the creaminess of the sandalwood. It sounds like a perfect nighttime scent and it has really piqued my interest. On a slightly different note, all maternal figures in my life deserve a gold heart because of the unconditional love that they have given me and how they have helped me grow to become the person I am today. Kindest regards from Illinois, USA.

  • Sebastian describes perfumes so beautifully, i always find myself taking notes for the next fragrance discovery. This perfume is no exception, the way the bottle looks, creamy and spicy notes with a sandalwood base; it piqued my interest. I would love to win a bottle and gift it to my mom, she is such an amazing woman with a gentle heart. Thank you for this opportunity.
    Greetings from Germany!

  • What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s review was how he thought it connects to a mother.
It’s interesting to see what about a fragrance connects someone to something else.

My mother deserves a gold heart and more because hers is already that. She single handedly supported my family and still went out of her way to support my extended family too. She’s the most inspiring woman I know.

    I’m from Ireland. Eu

  • Andrei-Cristian Radescu says:

As always, I appreciate Sebastian’s reviews for pointing out fragrances that I just walked by in the store and ignored. This one sounds quite unique and I’m really interested in trying it out.
My mother deserves a gold heart in order to understand my thoughts about her. Greetings from Romania!

  • Wow what a beautiful bottle!! That would truly make a great mother’s day gift! Thanks for the opportunity! Living in the EU

  • Jack3Tlife says:

I love the smell of chai, Sebastian made this sound so good and I think my mom would absolutely love this fragrance. California, USA

  • This based on Sebastian’s excellent review, this sounds like the most evocative and opulent of teas. Scents suggested for Mother’s Day tend to be a bit prim, so the richness and darkness of this one makes it a strikingly different suggestion (and in this context, the lactonic qualities feel just a bit subversive in an interesting way). I’ve not tried any of the Map of the Hearts. I’m in the US.

  • He is always on point and he has best taste
As he mentioned this should be delicious perfume.
Can’t wait to get this for my wife

  • Ozzyaziz says:

A beautiful review by Sebastian intrigued by the chai and lactonic, and spicy notes described by Sebastian. The bottle is very beautiful. I believe every mother has a heart of gold and every mother deserves this bottle in their collection. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • Amaziz89 says:

I am intrigued by the spicy, lactonic and woody notes. What struck me was how the the milky lactonic note evoked the eternal bond between mother and child. Every mother has been blessed with a heart of gold because this is a special binding bond that can never be broken. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • Liz Seville says:

Sebastian is always very clear. He leaves you with a clear memory of notes and an understanding of main accords but he also conveys a sense of a fragrance and why you might like it. I love fragrances with sandalwood at base. I love cardomom and I have been drawn to several lactonic fragrances. I like the fact that you have chosen a map of heart fragrance for mother’s day. We need to keep mother’s in our heart, most of all now.

  • I love how sebastian associates the milky and spicy notes as a form of strong tea. As a chai lover I can get a rough idea on how this fragrance would smell and I believe my mother would be thrilled to receive this bottle. We both often drink tea together and the notes of this fragrance definitely sounds like something she would love.

    Lots of love from Australia

  • What a strange choice for Mother’s Day, I love it. Personally, I do not like milk but my Mom loves it. She would probably bathe in milk if we could afford it. And, the scent of cardamom always reminds me of her baking. This scent would be perfect for her. She is getting up there in age and has recently been diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment. I would love to give her something memorable before she is unable to remember and appreciate things.
When Sebastian says that it dries down to Cedarwood but mostly Sandalwood, I was completely sold. Cedarwood is so beautiful, but the sandalwood seems like it perfectly complements the other scents.
    I am in the US.

  • With all the lost that we have experienced in the past few short months ,all around the world we all feel closer to our families and friends. And there is now better friend than our mother, see gave us everything only asking for love in return. This product is a perfect illustration of love to mothers and grandmothers , by the way mine is 102 wow!!!Thank you for this opportunity.Hope you all keep safe and well.

  • Zoran Loncarevic says:

Thanks Sebastian, this was a great description of this fragrance. By the way…my mother loves chai latte. That would be a great gift for her…

  • Kindness, non-judgemental and unconditional love is what comes to mind when I think of someone deserving a gold heart. Though much touted, these values are hard to come by, though they are most represented in parent-child, specifically, mother-child relationships. Sebastian, as usual, did a great job describing Gold Heart v. 4 – intense chai and creamy milk, with sandalwood and cedar at the base. Not sure if I have smelled such a milky fragrance.
Thanks for the draw and review. Writing from USA.

  • My mom is a trooper and figure I look up to. She embodies living a happy life and has supported me even though I don’t always follow her expectations. This fragrance sounds like the perfect warm drink in a fragrance and it sounds warm and safe to me, just like my mom! USA

  • I look up to my mom because she’s always happy and optimistic but also supportive of others. I think she would like this fragrance too! USA

  • From our great Sebastian, Milky Chai. MMMMMM! He also loves the shape of the bottles. Gold Heart, true love. Perfect for Mother’s Day! I am a Mother of 3 and my older daughter is having her 1st Mother’s day. Having had a baby boy 3 months ago! She deserves the beautiful gold heart! Thanks for the chance, USA

  • I liked the way he thought about this fragrance as a perfect gift for mothers – he knows his fragrances 🙂
Interesting that Sebastian, a man who saw plenty of perfume bottles so far, is impressed with the shape of this one.
I love the way he speaks, and the way he is introducing the notes, before starting the actual review. Thorough and interesting.
All moms have a gold heart, they don’t just deserve one 🙂
    I live in Europe.

  • Disneydad says:

I liked how Sebastian told us that the perfumer was also the creator of Mugler A-Men. I also liked how he explained why this was a great scent for Mother’s Day.

My wife deserves a gold heart because she just unexpectedly lost her mother a few weeks ago and COVID restrictions didn’t allow us to hold a funeral. It was devastating to her and Mother’s Day is hitting her particularly hard. I would love to cheer her up with a gold heart. I live in IL, USA.

  • Really enjoyed how Sebastian painted a picture of the tea boiling with all of the spices steeping in the water. Made me make a cup of tea for myself.

My mother deserves this gold heart because she loves tea and chai tea in particular. I know no other person who appreciates tea as much as she does. She doesn’t drink water, she drinks tea. And she’ll offer you some before you’ve even stepped foot through the door. I can’t wait to be able to have a cup with her once the quarantine is over. Best regards from Sweden.

  • Gold Heart sounds wonderful from the base of Sebastian’s review. The bottle is also beautiful. My mother deserves this gold heart because her heart is golden as well. Thank you for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • I like Sebastian description, he always has the right words to describe scents with lots of image and food reference. He also does it in such a short manner.
All the women in my family worked real hard, they deserve the gold heart.

  • Laurentiu says:

Great review as usual! Sebastian delivers good piece of information on a perfume everytime. I really like the bottle. The shape and the colour.

    Thank you!

  • The reason why my mother would deserve not only this perfume, but all the perfumes, clothes, houses, hugs and love in the world is because she is simply a superhero, despite her small frame and gentle behavior. She has carried many problems on her shoulders for years, she has silenced many sorrows and she never complained about them. Yet, after all of that, she still has only kind words and honest smiles to offer. That being said, under no circumstance do I wish to “humble” this perfume. Map 4 sounds like a truly comforting, genuine, motherly perfume. Warm milk and spices evoke homely protection to me and I thoroughly enjoyed Sebastian’s description about a cauldron where tea has been brewing with spices for many hours and the result is an intensified beverage. That spoke a lot. I am in the EU and would like to wish every mother who reads this a happy mother’s day!

  • Couldn’t agree more with Sebastian’s pick, both the bottle and the perfume are a perfect gift for a mother. Mothers literally have hearts of gold, capable of loving their children no matter what. Also the lactonic notes are a nice nod to a mother’a milk that nurtures a newborn. I think my mother deserves this golden heart as she is the most understanding person that I can always count on no matter what. Greetings from Romania.

Love the review of this fragrance in the article and also in Sebastian channel. I love to smell any Map of the Heart. The fragrance notes, the name, the bottles, absolutely everything looks and sound very intriguing and interesting to me. I think that all mom deserve a fragrance like this one, special, unique, the best. I believe my mom deserves it very much…Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this review. I love boiling the holy heck out of the fixings of a pot of chai tea— I go for a bit of a burnt flavor. The notes in Map of the Heart Gold Heart V.4 sound very comforting yet also surprising.
My mom and my grandmothers are care givers. They deserve gold.
    I live in the USA.

  • wildevoodoo says:

My mother deserves a gold heart because she is housing both of my siblings during the pandemic, working long hours at a nonprofit for as long as 13 days straight, and caring for both her mother and her mother in law as they reach old age. She is a superstar and I admire her so very much. My mother normally wears Chanel no.5, but she loves smelling my perfumes that have lactonic, spicy, and/or masala chai notes (such as MDCI Fêtes Persanes and Bvlgari Omnia) and she also loves drinking masala chai, so I think she would find the warm milky notes, cardamom, saffron, cinnamon, and pink pepper absolutely enchanting! Peaches are also her favorite fruit, so it seems like it would be an ideal fragrance for such a strong and inspiring woman. I am in the US 🙂

  • As always, Sebastian’s review for Map of the Heart Gold V.4 was fun and enthusiastic….you can’t help getting excited for a scent when he loves it. My daughter deserves a gold heart particularly this Mother’s Day as she recently gave birth to her second daughter…it was a poignant 3-day stay in the hospital this time after her c- section with no visitors due to the recent social distancing…all her family, including me, have tried to keep her spirits up, reminding her that she and her husband are what is important to their children right now and there will come a time soon, God willing, when we can all celebrate together again and I can get my eager arms wrapped around those 2 precious granddaughters. I am in the US. Happy Mother’s Day to all!

  • yumsylee says:

First time seeing this brand. Thank you Sebastian for another awesome and detailed review of the notes. Indeed, a great gift for Mother’s Day. The shape of the heart is just as interesting as the juice. Haven’t tried any lactonic fragrance. Would be awesome to win since birthday is coming in 2 weeks. IL, USA

  • Sebastian’s description of the chai tea notes sounds fantastic. Sweet and milky also intrigues me. Would love to give this a try. My mother absolutely deserves a gold heart for sacrificing her own career and personal life to help shape me into who I am today. Regards from the USA.

  • Great review. That bottles looks really nice, especially on some shelf in the collection. I find the milky/lactonic note kinda tricky, i could hate it a lot or instantly be a love, i guess it depends a lot on the other notes from the blend. Thanks for the draw, i’m in the EU.

    Happy Mother’s day Cafleurebon family!
You ask:”Why does your Mom, sister, daughter, grandmother or any maternal figure in your life deserve a gold heart? ” Not all women are good Mother, not all women have golden heart, but in my case I’m so fortunate to have absolutely best Grandma, my Mom was the best Mother, best friend, best everything to me, with golden heart for sure, I miss them so much! But, I still have my sweet sister with me – single Mother of three boys amazing mother also! So, I’m very happy for everyone who had Beautiful women in life with Golden ❤️.
Sebastian’s YouTube review of Map of the Heart Gold Heart V. 4 was great, love how he described this amazing fragrance
    US, Florida

  • ***Mother’s Day can be a difficult time for those who have lost their mother (or maternal figure) or for mothers that have lost children so let keep them all in prayer.***

My grandmother has earned the gold heart. She did not mind or judge me when I wore her Chanel No 5 or powdered myself to the point I looked like was play in flour. This same grandmother preferred drinking fat-laden half-half or whipping cream. So interested interested in the lactonic fat note Sebastian describes. Here in the USA

  • Michael Prince says:

Map of the Heart Gold Heart V.4 sounds like such a beautiful fragrance. The way Sebastian describes it being a lactonic spicy chai tea experience sounds like a gourmand lovers dream that transitions to a creamy sandalwood drydown. The presentation of this fragrance is also beautiful with the gold heart. My mother is definitely deserving of this masterpiece because of all the sacrifices and selfless acts she has done for me and all the love she gives each and every day. I am from the USA.

  • First and foremost I love Sebastian’s soothing energy and balanced style of presenting equal parts information…all the relevant information anyone would want to know about a perfume (concentration, delivery method, year, nose, notes, category, history, etc), as well as his opinion based on personal stories and associations. And I’m not just saying that for brownie points (if that’s a thing). I find his reviews refreshing and familiar at the same time, so there’s that—I loved *that* about his most recent review of Map of the Heart, Gold Heart V. 4.

Secondly I’ve been very curious about Map of the Heart for about two and half years (though I have not afforded myself the luxury of getting my hands on a bottle). Everything I’ve read about the house and its perfumes evokes a niche version of a Mugler vibe (to me)—which I love. Striking bottles that seem like talismans and original/distinctive fragrances with either unusual notes or unexpected combinations of more common notes. So it was really interesting to find out that the nose behind Gold Heart actually worked on many Mugler creations, especially around 1996 when I was a kid who liked to sniff around every friend and relative’s house, poking and tinkering around their bedroom and bathroom vanities when I got the chance.

Now what I really love about this review was the description of the intense chai accord. My family is Ethiopian and we regularly drink strong black tea with concentrated amounts of cardamom, cinnamon, and clove—and I have been obsessed with this smell forever. I used to say to my mom I wished I could just smell like her tea. Not even kidding you! To this day I have yet to encounter a true to life tea or chai note/accord in any perfume I’ve smelled that claimed to have it in there. To some, chai smells exotic but to me it’s just so incredibly homey and comforting. Oh and I love FULL FAT milk, even if I’m putting plant based milks in my cereal these days. Gold Heart sounds like MY HEART ha!

Lastly, why does my mom deserve a Gold Heart? I could go the expected route and say well “she has a heart of gold” (I mean, she does). But it’s not enough (both for the purpose of this giveaway and my own satisfaction). My mom is a loving *force*ok, my anchor to this realm, and a pretty good peek into other worlds to boot. Where did she come from, sometimes I wonder—and I don’t mean geographically! I don’t learn or decide much, but through her guidance (even now as an adult). Her genetic code instructing my body to grow the way it has. Her voice forming the foundations of what would become both my inner monologue, and my outdoor voice—which she always encouraged me to use, and that she amplified when mine would waver. My confidante, my advocate, and her own damn interesting person independent of me and my brothers! We lost her mom, my grandmother, a couple of years ago, and this past month she’s undergone emergency surgery for a perforation in her stomach, and it was really scary because we weren’t allowed to be by her bedside due to Coronavirus restrictions. Now that we have her back in the house, we’ve just been trying to help her, encourage her, and comfort her the way she’s done for all of us since forever. A gold heart serving some real spicy tea and milk just sounds (and probably smells) right!

  • Sebastian is lovely to watch and his perfume knowledge is always interesting to hear. I always strive to give back to my parents as they have offered me when I was a kid, therefore a bottle and an scent la this would go hand in hand with my desire to cheriesh my mother sacrifice and unconditional love. Fantastic! Finally gold heart gets the Sebastian review. I’ve tried black heart before just to explore a polarizing scent. My mom will go to perfume shops with me and always laughs about “don’t you want to smell GOOD? why do you always choose the weird ones?” No answers there, but I’m sure she’d love to be gifted this, since she usually likes the gourmands or spicy ambers. • I forgot to add my location in my comment, I was so busy writing a book about Sebastian, my mama, and tea! Maryland, U.S.A.
    Good luck everyone!

  • I would love to get to sniff this one. Saffran, milk and pepper sounds delicious. Even if I am old, my mother still tells me that she loves me each time she sees me, so she would deserve a gift like that.
I am from EU. Thank you!

  • Sebastian hit it out the park with this review and explained the DNA of this fragrance so very well. Also Thank you to all the mothers at Cafleurebon and around the world. Mothers deserve a golden heart because they are the 1st beautiful nurturers of humanity. Thank you for the draw. I live in the USA.

Nice job Pierre Dinand – nice job. In 2020 fragrance world presentation is important , and no doubt Map of Heart bottles are unique.
Lots of milk , cardamom and fruity undertone . I’m sold .
If Gold Heart v. 4 on my skin smells like Sebastian description , and the performance is good-i have to try it. Performance is important to me , if i have to pay niche prices.
My mom deserves all the love, I became a strong woman, because such a strong woman raised me.
    Thanks for the generosity .
Usually back and forth between USA and Scotland, hopefully soon enough I’ll get back to my routine.
    Cheers from VA

This sounds beautifully dreamy and comforting, and I like the notes, especially the milk and the chai spices. Moms deserve a gold heart for everything they have to put up with but still loving us regardless.

I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I like Sebastian’s reviews very much!!
Yes..I find this perfume will be good present for mother’s day- very nice and symbolic bottle and as Sebastian said- milky-spicy perfume – suitable for woman.

Heart shaped bottle is unique , and good looking at the same time. I do like good looking bottles , BUT what’s inside is way more important to me. As we all know there are a lot of fragrance brands with unique bottles and high prices, but cheap synthetic smells.
Pretty sure Gold Heart v.3 will deliver – Sebastian review is top notch.
V.3 description reminded me of Peach Cardamom Cake. In Europe it’s usually more fluffy, but in the States it’s thicker and buttery exactly like V.3
No roles in life is more essential than of motherhood . I’m not perfect, but I think my mom did her magic the best she could. She deserves all the happiness in the world.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

Wow a lot of time and effort went to create such a bottle.
Creamy, milky , woody and spicy no wonder Gold Heart evoked maternal love in Michelyn . I’m not sure I’ve smelled anything like it before.
Both my mom and my sister deserve deserve respect, love and happiness. Both do have a special place in my heart.
    Exsiting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • I really enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I don’t own any lactonic/milky scents. This sounds so soothing and beautiful.
My mom absolutely deserves a gold heart. She is so dedicated to her family – my 3 siblings and my dad. My parents have been married 57 years!

Rather than fatty milk, I’d like to think of this as heavy cream mixed with the beautiful spices of chai tea. I like how Sebastian said that the bottom note of sandalwood is also milky, linking the heart to the drydown. And of course the bottle is to die for. My daughter-in-law deserves a gold heart because she’s just the kind of mother you want your grandchild to have – all heart. I live in NY.

  • Sunny Chaudhary says:

I really liked how Sebastian described the type of tea he was getting and how he described the milk accord. If this is as delicious as their purple heart, it should be lovely.

My mother deserves a gold heart for the gold heart she already has.

    Thanks for the draw.

  • Map of the Heart giveaway? Really nice .
I do have the pleasure of having one and 1/2 , and smelled all Map Of The Heart fragrances.
Purple Heart V 5 I have split with my sister in law, and White Heart V 7 90ml bottle I’m happy to own.
I only wonder why Map Of The Heart fragrances are available all over EU , but not back home. I have seen them in Germany and Spain. Local boutique in Barcelona , is where I bought the two I have mentioned .
V 4 is exactly what Sebastian said , without the peach , at least I don’t sense it.
Being a mother a young girl I appreciate even more than before what my mom did for me, all the caring, the nerves, the good and the bad times.
    Top opportunity , thanks

Great review by Sebastian! This sounds absolutely amazing and unique. Since Sebastian described it as milky chai with spices that really intrigued me. My mom has a heart of gold and is so giving to everyone including: her students, community, siblings, and me. I would love to give this to her. Thanks so much for the giveaway and I live in the US!

  • Gail Gross review of Map of the Heart White Heart v.7 , a few months back was the first time I’ve heard the name of the brand.
Back then Gail description of v.7 reminded me of homemade plum jam my grandma is making each year. Thanks to Gail I bought it , but it was not an easy task . A friend of mine brought it from Europe.
Maybe I’m thinking about grandma a lot, or just Map of the Heart v.4 I feel connected with, but again I’m thinking about grandma’s home made ginger biscuits , sorry I grew up in UK , cookies is more commonly used in US.
Grandma was the maternal figure to me , heard of gold without a doubt.
    Such a nice draw, thanks.

I was introduced to Map of Heart through UK based blog , and the author compared 7 to Plum Japonais by Tom Ford. Plum Japonais is my favorite fragrance ever , so I was intrigued. I made my mind to check this house out , and I did in London , Harrods to be precise.
The whole line is really good, I would wear each and every one.
This time I completely agree with Sebastian, just be aware the opening is really spicy, but it settles down nicely.
My sister has Heart of gold . A few years back I had a bad incident, and because of it I was In a constant pain, i had to take strong painkillers just to make the day , and my sister helped me A Lot with her time , she paid most of my medical expenses, cooking and care to get back on my feet. My guiding Angel.
    All @cafleurebon, @lookfeelsmellgreat @mapoftheheart @jacqueshuclier @pierdinand i already follow.

I have to say bottle design is astonishing . One of the best looking bottles i have ever seen.
V4 sounds really good and cozy. You may think it’s odd but somehow pictures of Masala Chai came to mind.
Thank you Sebastian for the review, and Map of Heart for the opportunity . USA

the thing that I liked most in this video is, apart from the fragrance that even if you haven’t heard it, it must be excellent and innovative, having learned a new word never heard “laconic” very interesting, !! to try ! he made me discover a world Of scents not yet explored wow Great
