Wild Tuberose is part of a trio of exclusive perfumes from Manos Gerakinis. At the request of Nokta Cosmetics, Manos Gerakinis’ Turkish partner, a tuberose-based perfume was crafted, reflecting the popularity of white florals in Turkey. The label features Istanbul instead of the usual Athens, highlighting its development for Nokta Cosmetics, the exclusive retailers offering it in their physical locations, while it remains available online through Manos Gerakinis directly. Wild Tuberose is released as an online exclusive and in-store for the Turkish market, alongside the upcoming Pure Honeysuckle, summery white floral and 2024’s Imperial Malt, a rich whiskey leather scent.

Greek-Canadian perfumer Manto Liosi has infused Wild Tuberose with modern elegance, creating a perfume that feels both classic and sophisticated. This fragrance captures the beauty of bright spring or early summers day letting you experience the glory of nature.

Manos Gerakinis Wild Tuberose bursts with a champagne sparkle of citrus and apple with a squeeze of peach making its feel like a fresh sunny spring day has blossomed on your skin. Light bites of bitter greens give a lovely counter-point to the sweet and tart fruity opening, which soon blooms into a rich bouquet of florals. A lot of fruity facets grow from magnolia, allowing its more opulent creamy tea like warmth conjure the images of silky florals. Magnolia is fast becoming one for my favourite floral notes, it gives this fresh smooth high-end cotton woven with silk feel, like the petals have been stitched into a beautiful material with a soft warm muskiness. Giving the magnolia petals body is tuberose; perfumer Manto Liosi uses tuberose here in a stunning, refined and controlled. A warm, heady embrace gently envelops you, as you melt into a soft sensual waxiness with a gentle spice surrounding you, like a playful wink all done with elegance and grace. Its playful fruity element remains giving  Wild Tuberose a joyous feeling. Jasmine sambac seems cleverly used to flesh out this creamy white florals, giving a touch of darkness to the sumptuous petals. Again, all this is composed in a very elegant light way with musks smoothing out the edges giving Manos Gerakinis Wild Tuberose dreamy warmth as it glows on your skin.

A subtle dusting of sugary sweetness gives a crystalline sparkle to the white florals, making them shine brighter while also being a clever call back to the champagne-like opening, whose gentle bubbles are still lingering in this delicious mix. Wild Tuberose is full of subtle complexities, the more intimate you are, the more of its gentle balsamic spices are revealed, it’s a restrained wildness, like carnal desires whispered in your lover’s ear. As you move back, the air around you is filled with a creamy dense swirl of intoxicating white florals and musks, the Parfum has a beautiful freshness to it,  that reminds me of clothes dried outside in spring breeze, yet the florals keep teasing it quietly back to a soft, sensual desire.

Magnolia’s sparkling white floralcy shines in the late dry down, which adds silky elegance to Wild Tuberose. Dense, like a rich silk with just a whisper of orange blossom adding a flirtatious bite of the lip as jasmine and tuberose merge. Sandalwood and cedar add a drier woody depth, while also hinting at a soft warm bodily feel, one that lies just under the floral bouquet. Clean musks feel worn and used in the most beautifully way, as if the petals have shaped themselves to your body. It feels like sensual sun-kissed skin wrapped giving Wild Tuberose a beautiful spring into summer sense of happiness. Plumes of a white smoky incense weave through the woods and florals creating a slow flowing movement, like elegant folds of a rich material, adding delicious density and texture.  The soft movement of flower petals washes over you like a beautiful dream. The sweeter facets shimmer is lighter now, almost like caramelised nuggets that you happen upon as this woody white floral musk makes Wild Tuberose feel playful yet very elegant with its refined beauty and light touches. It’s like your dressed in a crisp white outfit made from luxurious materials, capturing the feel of spring freshness with summer’s end of day warmth that smells like summer love bottled.
