Mancera Cosmic Pepper Review (2023) + Autumn Mosaic Giveaway

Mancera Cosmic Pepper

Mancera Cosmic Pepper photo by Redolessence

Winter is an etching, spring a watercolor, summer an oil painting, and autumn a mosaic of them all.” – by poet Stanley Horowitz.

This is one of my favorite quotes that pays tribute to fall as a season that is many different weathers all in a day! As the days of summer end and autumn is here, it is a transitional time of the year. Which brings us to Mancera Cosmic Pepper. The opening is refreshing with effervescent lemon and citruses suggest summer, hints of rose and herbaceous sage is a nod to spring.  An autumn mosaic is at the heart with by three different shades of pepper for a spicy, but not fiery edge in a mosaic of glowing  amber, tonka adds creaminess and a hint of sweetness. With oakmoss and non-animalic oud at the base, shadow dappled winter waits at the base. Mancera Cosmic Pepper is all four seasons in a bottle and a fragrance you will reach for year-round. As Steven says in his video it is a versatile scent you need to try. Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Notes: Pink and black pepper, fizzy lemon, tangerine, wild sage, black pepper, rose, oud, tonka bean, amber, oakmoss, white musk, labdanum

  • I just added a bottle of Hindu Kush to my collection, and somehow I feel like cosmic pepper would layer beautifully with this. This fragrance sounds really sexy and I can only imagine the scent trail I would leave behind. Thank you for the review, Steven as well as the introduction, Michelyn! Cheers!

  • Michelyn, I think you’re right this really appeals to me as a year around easy reach. I love a mancera perfume that’s all seasons.
Steven, spicy rosey and oudy…yum. Sounds like it definitely has the mancera DNA in it. That creamy lemon in the opening from the tonka sounds so yummy and smooth. The rose coming in the heart and the earthy oak moss making a subtle entrance from the creamy sweetness is a lovely balance to the spiciness coming in from the pepper. I do love that pepper isn’t center stage through out, and overall a beautifully blended fragrance. Unique, good longevity, good projection; mancera is simply one of the best.
    Thank you both.

  • Steven’s description as a lemon peppery entry has definitely sparked my interest. I would love to put my nose on this new piece myself,

Michelyn has created a very well put together review. A creative & concise interpretation of Mosaic Cosmic Pepper, my imagination is running wild.

  • I love how he said the lemon in here is very creamy and automatically caught my attention. This will be a banger specially on summer nights.

The pepper note in here i hope it doesnt get that much spicy on skin. The other notes seems very alluring to my nose. Fingers crossed for the win!

  • I love Michelyn’s introduction; from the quote that she used, it made me think of different fragrances for each season. When I watched Steven’s you tube review, this is the one thought that was going through my mind was, “this would be a good fall fragrance. As I go outside I see the leaves have started to change colors. There’s a breeze with a bit of crispiness. As you pass people, your sillage is gaining attention. The lemon, oak moss, pepper, Tonka bean seems to blend into a fine fragrant concoction that only Mancera can make. As Steven was doing his review, this is what was coming to mind.

  • I think Steven left me intrigued by saying how versatile the fragrance is. Versatile fragrances with good blends are always interesting to experience. Thanks for giving this opportunity and congrats to whoever wins!

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I loved Steven’s comparisons between Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blance and Mancera Cosmic Pepper. Also, I liked how Michelyn mentioned how this is a year round fragrance. I live in Maryand USA.

  • This is an interesting concept to basically have all 4 seasons in a bottle. I see what Michelyn explained about how the different notes hint at different seasons of the year. I agree, different notes do hint at different times and seasons in a year. I also like that Steven explained it is not overly pepper as I’m not sure if I’d like it too peppery. Also, the name is super enticing to want to have it/try it. Cheers from NJ, USA.

  • I love versatile scents and Michelyn said this one is great for year-round use. I’m also a big fan of peppery scents, so I’m excited to see how it plays out here, especially with the tonka. Steven talked about it being really smooth and seemed to like the creaminess the tonka brings to the party. Sounds like an interesting composition. Best of luck to everyone. I live in NC, USA.

  • I always love Steven’s videos for Redolessence.
I have been on a Mancera kick recently.
Lemon Lime has been my go to scent all summer.
This sounds like another winner from Mancera.

  • Both Steven and Michelyn emphasize this is a very versatile year round scent. Both of them reminded us not to be scared off by the pepper title and that pepper isn’t dominant or overpowering! Both mentioned the creamy aspect of the fragrance. Overall, it’s a great all season scent. I’m in USA. I followed @cafleurebonofficail @paulguynj is my instagran handle

  • I saw Cosmic Pepper being advertised but I assumed that it would only be for colder weather. STEVEN’S YOUTUBE REVIEW AND MICHELYN’S INTRODUCTION proved me wrong! I can’t wait to get my nose on it.

  • I truly appreciated Steven’s eloquent juxtaposition of Chanel Allure Homme Édition Blanche and Mancera Cosmic Pepper. Furthermore, I found Michelyn’s astute observation regarding the fragrance’s versatility, making it suitable for all seasons, to be quite intriguing. New Jersey USA

  • Robert Rolfingsmeyer says:

Michelyn, you’ve painted a pleasant picture of how this may come together.
Steven, I appreciate the fact that you recommended getting a sample prior to getting. Not all manceras I’ve owned would I have bought had I known how it do for me on a full wear. Still sounds nice for a year round frag.

  • Now this peaks my interests. A citrus spicy sweet rose oud fragrance that can be worn in the winter. I wonder how this compares to Odyon Dubai Scorpion. Better yet how it smells layered together. MIND BLOWING!

  • Good review, Montale always has some good performers. Similar to Allure Homme Edition Blanche is nice as I do like that fragrance. Also, very nice quote, I completely agree. Fall is my favorite season by far. NYC

  • A stronger, better, and longer lasting version of allure homme edition Blanche?! I need this in my life. From anew Hampshire

  • Been really looking forward for this release availability in my region of Canada sounds so nice. Can’t wait !

  • Should be great for the incoming fall weather here in the east coast. Only Mancera I’ve tried so far is Cedrat Boise, would love to start exploring more from them.

  • Fall is my favorite season. There are elements of all the seasons in Fall, the brisk morning, then at times summer refuses to leave without a fight, and the evenings come alot quicker in the Fall, giving us a glimpse of the Winter season. I would love a fragrance that encapsulates all the seasons, and this Mancera sounds very interesting!

  • This seems like a seasonless fragrance. I appreciate scents I can wear throughout the year. Michelyn gives a great description of the spicy pepper, glowing amber and creamy tonka as forming an autumn mosaic. Steven reviews it as a versatile lemon pepper scent. Follow @cafleurebonofficial on IG @blinkydog1999. I’m in the US.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Both reviews were spot on. Cosmic Pepper (love the name). I’m a fan of Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche and the notes appear very appealing to my liking. Looking forward to getting my nose on this one.

  • ThatMulattoDude says:

I’ve always been interested in this brand but haven’t pulled the trigger on trying an offering. Michelyn’s so right about fall being all seasons in one. It’s definitely my favorite time of year. Really enjoyed Steven’s synopsis if this fragrance being perhaps a higher end Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Would really like to win this. Appreciate the giveaway offer. Many blessings from VA, USA!

  • Hello! What I enjoy from his channel? Everytime comes with a new update about new fragance, a good review that never miss a detail. I would like to try every fragance that he review..

  • I am glad Steven makes a reference to give it more than one try.

The fact is compared to the other brand, speaks well of Mancera Cosmic Pepper quality and Mancera’s standards.

It’s all year around, versatile, fresh…. I really want to get my nose on Mancera Cosmic Pepper.

    From Massachusetts.
    Good luck to all.

  • Oh boy, I am so in love with Mancera Fragrances since I tried Cedrat Boise.
Cosmic Pepper is something I would love trying since I am a huge pepper lover but I have not tried any fragrance with pepper as a main note. I hope I get my nose on it soon and try this brilliance of a fragrance.

  • I enjoyed Redolessence’s review. I always like Steven’s personal take on fragrances he likes. I’ve been subscribing to his chanel for years. He got my attention when he mentioned it’s comparison to Allure Homme Edition Blanche. I love that scent. I’m also glad that Steven added that agarwood not give off an animalic smell. I do however like earthy tones.

Thanks Michelyn for introducing us to this new fragrance. I want to smell how the rose is used in the scent. I’ll take your advice and get a sample to try it out.

  • Great intro to Cosmic Pepper, Michelyn. I’m very intrigued by a fragrance that profiles one of my absolute favorite smells—fresh cracked pepper—and takes it out of the gourmand realm. I like the idea of breaking down the progression by seasonal tones.

Stephen pointed out how the lemon and tonka interaction plays a big role in this blend; the pepper is present, but not overwhelming. That sounds nice, especially considering Cosmic Pepper is also “a lot more complex and a lot more natural smelling” than similar perfumes. I’d love to try it.

I’m in the contiguous USA. I follow @cafleurebonofficail on Instagram as @mmerline. Thanks!

  • Hello from Florida, and thank you to Steven and Michelyn for the reviews!

Black pepper is one of my absolute favorite notes, so I’d love to try this “mosaic” of a scent.

  • Tyler parsons says:

I really am hoping this to be a good fragrance but worried about longevity issues, it seems to be hit and miss with certain individuals from what I’ve read. I know I will enjoy the scent profile cause how he explains it fits right up my alley

  • Hoping to like this fragrance , just worried about longevity issues cause it seems to be hit or miss from what I’ve read. From his description it seems it will fit right up my alley though

  • I enjoyed how Steven described the fragrance as a complex fragrance compared to Chanel’s allure homme edition blanche and how both fragrances have that lemony opening. Steven also stated the fragrance isn’t all about the pepper like the name suggests, so those who aren’t very keen on pepper dominated fragrances might enjoy this. I enjoyed how Michelyn stated how Cosmic Pepper is all four seasons in a bottle making it very versatile. Thank you for the opportunity. Followed on Instagram, handle is Frankieg74. • Dproductive1 says:

As usual, Michelyn’s picturesque descriptions are a treat. How she correlates different seasons to different phases of the fragrance.
Steven’s take on the Allure Edition Blanche comparisons are interesting. Hope to win! Pennsylvania resident.

  • Regis Monkton says:

Michelyn’s review of Mancera Cosmic Pepper made this fragrance seem very appealing to me. I liked hearing things like “The opening is refreshing with effervescent lemon and citruses suggest summer, hints of rose and herbaceous sage”, “three different shades of pepper”, and “With oakmoss and non-animalic oud at the base”. Also, I appreciate when Steven says that the Mancera is more complex than Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche (a scent profile which I’m fond of). I live in MD, U.S.A. • Having read Steve’s and Michelyn’s thoughts, it’s clear that Mancera Cosmic Pepper is getting attention. I liked Steve’s comparison to Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche, but with a pepper and rose. Michelyn mentioned it covers all seasons with a three shades of pepper. I love a spicy kick. I’m interested in trying it for its versatility, with the lemon note, spiciness, and tonka bean. Mancera seems to have made an interesting fragrance, and I appreciate Steve and Michelyn’s insights. • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven’s Youtube review and Michelyn’s introduction for Mancera’s Cosmic Pepper. Being a big fan of Pierre Montale and so many of Mancera’s fragrances I am really excited about this newest release Cosmic Pepper. Steven makes it sound like it has facets that remind him of spring with the fizzy lemon, tangerine, rose, and sage but has the autumn elements of 3 types of pepper as well as warming nuances of amber and tonka. This truly sounds like 4 seasons in a bottle and another home run from Mancera Parfums. I follow @cafleurebonofficial my insta handle is @michaelprincefragrance I am from the USA.

  • This fragrance interests me because because I love peeper centric fragrances, a favorite of mine being Back pepper by cdg! It really intrigued me when steven said this fragrance is very versatile! I need to try this!

  • David Furman says:

I love Stevens reviews and he is definitely on point with all things fragrance related. Really hoping to try something new especially from Mancera, my favorite house lately. Please lookout for the cookout, I never win things like this so it’d be awesome if my luck were to change.
