My favorite M. Micallef perfume is Spiritual. I haven’t tried many of them but the ones I did (female marketed) all had sweet, fruity notes which I usually don’t like. What made me interested in this fragrance is that the notes and description sound like a fruity perfume, but without the sweetness and gourmand notes that are usually present in “fruity” perfumes. Pomegranate is my favorite seasonal autumn fruit and I don’t know of any other perfumes that have pomegranate as their main note. I’d love to give this perfume a chance to see if I can find a fruity perfume I like.

  • “M. Micallef Soleil Passion is an experience that takes you on a sensory adventure that whisks you away to Paradise” I think everybody would like that. Love summery scents. I live in London, UK.

  • A gasoline note? I find that in some Tom Ford scents too. It adds to the summertime heat in fragrances. I’m intrigued. I LOVE ylang in gold. It is on my perfumes forever list. In maryland.

  • This fragrance sounds lovely based on Olya’s description of it. Fruits, flowers and the softness of Sandalwood, what’s not to enjoy? I have not yet had the pleasure of smelling anything from M.Micaleff. I live in Sweden, EU.

  • I like the notes of pomegranate, wild strawberries and mandarin. I do enjoy a few fragrances from M. Micallef, and their bottles ate gorgeous. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. Mich USA

  • The beautiful natural notes absolutely strike me. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. My Favorite M. Micallef perfume would probably be Spritual.

  • Wonderful fragrance house. Soleil Passion sounds sexy and I love the notes sweet and fruity. Love Eden Falls by M Micallef. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • One of my favorite fragrances M. Micaleff fragrances is Note Vanilleé. It is a sexy vanilla fragrance that I love to wear for a date night.

  • I love how the name is suggestive of the summer theme – ‘soleil’ being sun. Very intrigued by the combination of pomegranate, strawberry and mandarin orange, with woodier notes in order to make it wearable for those summer days AND nights. Versatility is super exciting. My favorite perfume by M. Micallef is Gardenia. Despite being an older fragrance, its such a classic. Love how it’s so fresh and lasting.

  • I tend to be more curious about perfumes born out of personal life experiences, stories, dreams and tastes, rather than arid, abstract concepts.
Soleil Passion has the name and the backstory that makes me wish to experience it, only to be part of a great thing that its ‘parents’ share and live.
Thanks for the review & the draw, from EU.

  • Soleil Passion sounds really amazing; a delightful fusion of tart pomegranate and sweet wild strawberries in the opening, followed by vivacious mandarin and voluptuous, rich rose accented with a touch of green lily of the valley soapiness, then culminating in a sensual finale, the wild call of ambergris, creamy sandalwood and musk… Beautiful!

  • Nice review Olya! Beginning another heat wave, the image of a luscious Mediterranean garden gives as a weather truce. This fruity scent around the pomegranate (today already green in the trees) is the best cocktail not to sip but to sniff. The Bastide that belongs to Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman must be closer to Paradise and their homage in Soleil Passion a gift to us all. Love the opening: tart pomegranate, sweet willd strawberries (so sweet floral taste they have) and mandarin. Then the opulent and delicate flowers rose and lilly to end with real ambergris to fuel the fragrance. I do want to live the adventure Soleil Passion propose. I love Osaito, another mediterranean homage, one of the best citrus I ever tried. I live in Spain, EU.

I haven’t had the pleasure of owning any M.Micallef fragrances yet, but I have been intrigued by this brand for quite sometime. I have read about their design process and about the quality of ingredients used in their concoctions; having my mind set on M. Micallef Note Vanille.
Now I know based on the notes description, and in this very well written review that Soleil Passion its undoubtedly another beautiful creation from the M. Micallef house that I should get my hands on ASAP.

  • I would love to try this creation and allow it to transport me to a Mediterranean garden while reminding me of an intertwining love story as the floral and fruity notes dance in the air. I am in USA and love Eden Falls, also from the house.

Oh goodness! This one sounds lovely. Also, at least for US buyers, there are quite a few of the 30ml bottles of various perfumes on sale for a steal over at the website.

Such a good looking bottle, I’m a fan of the M.Micallef designer , hell of a job again , in my opinion some of the best looking bottles in the industry.
Personally I’m glad Soleil Passionvis not super sweet juvenile fruity cocktail , but made of finest ingredient in modernized way , with added gasoline accord , musk and sandalwood.
The two M.Micallef fragrances I’ve sampled are Eden Falls and and Desir Toxic , both are good for different occasions. Maybe Desir Toxic is slightly better.
    Thank you Olya, M.Micallef

  • Soleil Passion sounds so delightful! This cocktail of fruit, the pomegranate, strawberries and mandarin, and then the flowers and the rich base notes really sound like a fresh burst of notes which later develop into a sensual and rich experience.
Micallef makes such quality fragrances and I’m sure this one is not in any way less. And what a gorgeous bottle!
My favorite perfumes by the house are Black and Desir Toxic.

  • Tart pomegranate and strawberry you say? Yum! This sounds like a juicy delight. I like the idea of the ambergris and musks in the base giving it that little bit of extra seductive quality. My favorite from M. Micallef so far is DesirToxic, but have been dying to try others like Red Colorado. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

  • Regis Monkton says:

For a while now, I’ve been interested in trying something from M. Micallef, but I haven’t had a chance to yet. I’m interested in trying “Soleil Passion”. The wild strawberries in the opening, and the combination of rose and lily-of-the-valley in the heart are what’s most intriguing to me about this fragrance. I live in the U.S.A.

  • I always found pomegranate-rose fragrance blends to be very sensual and romantic. This combination in Soleil Passion supported by delicate florals and mandarin on a base of musky sandalwood sounds very wearable. The gasoline note supplied by ambergris sounds like it keeps the composition interesting. My favorite M.Micallef is Gardenia. I’m in the US.

  • I believe M.Micallef Soleil Passion is fine example for avant-garde ,and really pleasing fragrance. I don’t think I’ve ever smelled anything like it , the scent is cozy yet adventurous, sweet yet a bit gasoline like , cold yet warm too. The rich and opulent rose are always very much welcomed.
Aoud Gourmet is my favorite M. Micallef fragrance , first I did a split with my sister in law , and then I bought my own bottle.
    Thanks for the draw

  • This sounds like a lush experience of a fragrance. I haven’t had a chance to try this house and hope this giveaway gives me the chance to. I live in Canada.

  • Soleil Passion features an interesting juxtaposition between the juicy fruity-floral accord in its opening and the primal ambergris, sandalwood, and musk underneath. That “gasoline-like” faceted base is what intrigues me most about the fragrance, though the bright mandarin note sounds wonderful for warm days. Beautiful packaging as well.

I’m in the midwest, USA. I haven’t tried any M. Micallef, though REDCOLORADO has been on my to-try list for a while. Would love to try the brand.

  • This combination of juicy fruits like pomegranate, mandarin, wild strawberries and beautiful flowers – rose, lily of the valley, water lily – has my curiosity on fire. I would really love to try Soleil Passion. Thanks

  • Interested in smelling a fragrance focusing on pomegranates. Love the fruit and juice – wonder how it’ll work on the skin. I have not smelled M. Micallef yet but I have read of them on different forums. Interested in trying. Thanks.

  • My favourite M. Micallef perfume is DesirToxic, i just love it!
This one should be awesome too from it’s combination of pomegranate, strawberries and florals. Also the gasoline note makes me want to smell it even more!

I am a huge fan of M.Micallef, being Osaito my favorite one yet.
Soleil Passion seems like a fantastic review. I love the fruits in the opening and then the rose, making it so sensual. I also love the inspiration behind this fragrance.

Strawberry is a fairy tale note for me. Is she a Red Riding Hood? Is she a Persephone? The blend sounds luscious. The bottle very ethereal. Love from EU

    Thanks for the writeup Olya.

I certainly find the use of ambergris in this fragrance (particularly with the gasoline facet described) in conjuction with all the fruity notes to be quite interesting.

I have not had the chance to smell a lot of fragrances from this house.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I have never tried anything by M. Micallef, but I would love to smell Soleil Passion. First of all, the bottle is so pretty…but of course that’s not the important part. I love the idea of combining pomegranate, strawberry, and ambergris: I don’t think I’ve ever seen that done before!

  • Michael Prince says:

What strikes me about Soleil Passion is how co-founders Martine Micallef and Geoffrey Nejman M. Micallef captured a beautiful Mediterranean floral Garden inside a fragrance featuring a fruity splash if luscious Pomegranate along with Strawberry and Mandarin sounds amazing. I love the intricate styling of their bottle designs and I am very impressed with everything I’ve tried from the brand. My favorite fragrance from Parfums Micallef is Desirtoxic. I am from the USA.

  • Olya Bar take on M.Micallef Soleil Passion made me think of making Pomegranate Strawberry Pie , and later on eating it while sitting next to rose field . The fragrance sounds awesome, I’ll order a sample.
Desir Toxic i bought because of Gail Gross review on Cafleurebon, it reminds me of Vanilla Cassis Cake . My girlfriend wears Mon Parfum Cristal , what a gorgeous scent, I can pull it off without any issues too.
Appreciate the review , and the giveaway campaign.

  • Beautiful review of M.Micallef *Soleil Passion. What truly struck my interest in this fragrance is the balance of tart fruit notes like pomegranate and floral notes like rose. I haven’t tried any fragrances from the house yet. Thanks for the opportunity to experience this top tier brand. Greetings from the USA.

    Greetings eveyone
Ms Bar essay and M.Micallef Soleil Passion = joyful adventure done right . What strikes me about the fragrance is the -mesmerizing balance between opulence and delicacy- in the face of pomegranate, strawberries, sandalwood and gasoline. I have smelled a lot of gourmands , and some gasoline facet fragrances, but never something in between , Soleil Passion is quite avant-garde.
Aoud Gourmet is my favorite M.Micallef
Thank you , American living in Paris France

  • I know the fragrance and I find the pomegranate and strawberry combo in Soleil Passion so mouthwatering, and when the voluptuous rose comes to life …the magic truly happens , it’s so juicy , lush and vibrant.
I do agree with Olya, the fragrance is indeed addictive and unforgettable. The gasoline i perceive too ,it gives the composition a slight twist without offsetting the gourmand-ish DNA.
Edenfalls , personalized bottle of Delice , Aoud Gourmet , Vanille Aoud , Note Vanillée Nectar and Avant-Garde are the M.Micallef fragrances I own
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg
