I could almost taste layers of fluffy, fruit-infused sponge paired with zesty orange marmalade and tangy whipped cream cheese frosting. My thoughts drift to a leisurely Saturday, where time slips unnoticed, and one can fully immerse in the tranquility of midday baking. As the cake gently rises in the oven, the kitchen becomes enveloped in warm, buttery aromas, creating a cozy, inviting atmosphere.     This review by Olga Bar painted a mouth-watering picture of this fragrance. I’m stuck by the way orange blossom was described in terms of symbolism (weddings and fertility) and its role in gourmand scents – and cuisine! I’ve tasted many a fragrant orange blossom scented sweet and have used orange blossom water in my own baking of maamoul.

    I’ve only ever smelled Guaiac from the brand and I loved it!

    I am also very particular about orange blossom in a fragrance, but this blend sounds beautiful. I love the added notes of petitgrain, mandarin, vanilla and sandalwood. I have not tried many from the line, but my favorite M. Micallef is Ylang in Gold. I am in CA, USA

    I am a huge fan of Micallef. I own Note Vanillee and have tried GnTonic numerous times, this new addition seems perfectly timed for the season. A fizzy, sparkling offering with lots of fruits and flowers announce spring has arrived. Even though O Feminin is a female targeted release, I’ve left those gender hang ups aside a long time ago when it comes to fragrances. Wear what you want, when you want and how you want it. I am a fan of orange blossom too now even though I didn’t really paid attention to it much at the beginning of my fragrance journey. I still love Note Vanillee the most from this house. One thing we don’t speak enough about Micallef is the marketing and how the come up with the advent calendars and sample sets, no other house is doing it like it when it comes to promoting the brand.     This sounds lovely! I have not tried this brand yet, but I adore orange blossom and petitgrain, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that one of my go-to “safe” perfumes for things like job interviews, etc., Jo Malone’s Orange Blossom, is also Kate Middleton’s signature scent. Ô Féminin sounds like a sweeter, more sophisticated version, so I would love to check it out. Also love the history of orange blossoms as a wedding scent. Thanks and hello from CO, USA!

    I love the cake analogy made by Olya as Ô Féminin sounds absolutely fluffy, cloudy and scrumptious. I enjoy a good orange blossom in Spring. It gives the promise of the warmer days ahead but it is fresh (and slightly wet) from the winter before. Would love to try this. Marit the Netherlands

I, too, have come to a new appreciation of orange blossom over the last few years and this time of year I crave it…. Would love to try this new “modern” take on it with “a touch of nostalgia”.     Orange blossom is my obsession this spring! I smelled two orange trees blossoming last week in 2 areas of california. I felt carried away to an ethereal place of skin musk and pure petals. This M. Micallef Ô Féminin rendition of orange blossom sounds like a slice of heaven. Baking is my zen like pastime. This slice of orange blossom cake sounds like a way to sink deeper into the indulgence of hedonism without the threat of calories. Love this description/review! I have tried the Ylang in Gold at a local niche perfumery and love its golden and elegant tinkling notes. Would be humbled and amazed to try this orange blossom madness! From OR, USA.

    Well, I have to admit, that beautiful cake caught my eye! I love the scent of orange blossoms and its fragrance fills a room. I visited a nursery that had them blooming once and I didn’t want to leave. I like the description of the light earthiness patchouli in Ô Féminin. MI USA

    This fragrance sounds absolutely incredible! I’ve always loved orange blossom notes, so I’m drawn to this because of the mandarin and lemon opening. Orange blossom fragrances can typically seem less sophisticated in terms of note combinations, so I really like how this has pink pepper, rose, and jasmine to make it more balanced. I love Ylang In Gold and I would be very excited to try this fragrance! I live in New York, USA.

    Best rendition of orange blossom is quite a compliment. I didn’t always like orange blossom myself, but as I’ve smelled more and more fragrances, I like it. Now I want to bake that cake, I have some orange flower essence in my spice cabinet. I think I’ll give it a go for Mother’s Day dessert.     Just like Olya, I pretty much ignored orange blossom scents and quickly dismissed any featuring this note. But in time, I came to appreciate it a lot and own quite a few fragrances that center around the delicate orange blossoms. Not one like Ô Féminin though, with almost gourmand sweetness – that would definitely be interesting to sample, as it happens with all the notes you like and are drawned to in perfumes – one seeks to discover as many facets as possible of a same note.

    when reading off the notes my mind began to wonder about an orange cake of some sorts just like Olya was describing. Even the color makes me think of it. Wondering aboout that citrus opening with the lemon and mandarin just has my mouth watering and I know that orange blossom note is just making it an ultimate spring weather fragrance.     Beautiful comparison of O Feminin perfume to a cake, I love it when a perfume meanders between layers of different notes, just like the layers of the cake. As Olya I was at first weary of orange blossom fragrances- they seemed almost too heady, too overwhelming on/for me. But in recent tears, this has begun to change.

    For some time now, I’ve been gravitating towards lighter fragrances. For someone who actively sought dark, complicated scents, this is a strange development, but one I am embracing. It feels wonderful… Citrus, of all things, was never my thing, and here I am, stepping into the orange tree garden. I’ve noticed the scents I’ve been wearing on a daily basis for a couple of months now have a subtle or not so subtle citrus component. M. Micallef is one of those houses I am fascinated with. There’s something untouchable about them, as well as relatable. Something, like a postcard from the past, an intersection of worlds and feelings. The bottle of Ô Féminin, as most M. Micallef bottles are, is beautiful. And the perfume sounds like a beautiful summer day, but early summer, when you can’t quite believe in three months’ time, autumn will trap the light into its amber globe. I think we all deserve a scent that makes us feel light. And loved. Oh and my favorite M. Micallef? Gaïac… Writing from Romania

    This sounds truly delicious! I have seen it praised on youtube as being one of the most beautiful orange blossom perfume, so of course I am really curious about this one.     I love M. Micallef and my all-time favorite is Mon Parfum Cristal. From the Secrets Of Love Collection, I liked Glamour and Ô Féminin sounds just perfect. What attracted me is the description “It’s equally comforting as elegant, even bold, and can easily be an olfactory play on the wedding cake.     Olya, you never cease to amaze me in how well you convey a fragrance through print.

    While at ScentXplore in December, we spent time with M. Micallef’s Commercial Director, Charbel Asmar. In addition to being a wealth of knowledge on M. Micallef’s creations, he allowed my wife and I to get our noses on upcoming fragrances and Ô Féminin was one that wholeheartedly capture both me and my wife’s attention. The olfactive experience of this fragrance on my wife’s skin was everything you stated in your review Olga…and more. This creation was definitely a marriage of tradition with innovation.

    What an absolutely delicious sounding scent!
    I love the house of Micallef and I am sure that anything that comes out from the brand will just be spectacular.
    The cakey side of this orange blossom centric scent is what intrigues me the most. I find I am reaching for sweeter scents lately, while still not a fan of full gourmand. And I think Olya is totally right saying that orange blossom is a note of timeless purity and elegance, so I will be happy to smell it in yet another interpretation.

    This perfume contains some of my favorite notes: Jasmine, Neroli and Orange Blossom, so I believe I’d really really like it! Adding Bergamot, Mandarin Orange and Lemon to the combination, it sounds like spring in a bottle.

    What strikes me most about this review is how wearable this scent seems to be. I normally don’t go for gourmands because, while I love the idea, something about smelling like food just doesn’t work on my skin. I think this fragrance sounds really balanced, and I love that lemon was thrown in to cut some of the sweetness. I think this fragrance has a lot of potential. Warm regards from Illinois, USA.

    I’ll admit that orange blossom fragrances haven’t grabbed my attention yet, so Olya’s comments here stood out: “it took me years to grasp this beautiful ingredient’s full depth and versatility.” I also didn’t realize it was a common wedding fragrance. M. Micallef Ô Féminin sounds lovely, using a range of notes to support that core accord, with the pear standing out as a particularly nice combination. And the drydown seems to emphasize smooth comfort.

    I opened the back door at my mother’s home yesterday and was literally blasted with a full warm enveloping fragrance of orange blossoms! Actually my mom has a few orange trees in bloom and a “mock orange” for good measure. When I say there is nothing like it!!! If I could have that scent anytime I’d be the luckiest duck ever.     Orange blossom is one of my favorite notes, especially during the spring and summer. Like Olya, I am always seeking fragrances with the note. As soon as Olya mentioned that Ô Féminin evoked a sumptuous orange blossom cake, I knew I needed it! I am a huge fan of floral gourmands in both perfumery and dessert. I love the smell and taste of orange blossom, and an orange blossom cake would be delicious. Olya’s photo of the orange blossom cake also looks delectable.

    I enjoy many fragrances from Micallef, but my favorites are Ylang in Gold, Passion, Mon Parfum Cristal, and Vanille Aoud.

Just like yourself, I’ve had my ups and downs with orange blossom but with the spring being here, I can feel an upward trajectory is about to commence. I’ve also been into classics and feminine fragrances recently, so Ô Féminin warms up my heart in so many ways.
