L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe, La Chasse Aux Papillons and Mûre Et Musc Extrême + 3 You Should Be Wearing This Spring Draw

L'Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe, La Chasse Aux Papillons and Mûre Et Musc Extrême review

L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe, La Chasse Aux Papillons and Mûre Et Musc Extrême (photo composition/digital editing by Despina Veneti©)

Apart from a few, rather robust, L’Artisan Parfumeur fragrances (Timbuktu, Noir Exquis, Bana Banana) that I tend to wear a lot during winter, I mostly enjoy the brand’s offerings when the weather mellows, and smiles: it’s then that the House’s playful, nature-evoking creations truly bloom for me. For this spring, I propose three of my seasonal favorites: a musky eau de cologne (L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe), a widely loved floral eau de toilette (La Chasse Aux Papillons), and the eau de parfum version of a pioneering fruity fragrance (Mûre Et Musc Extrême).

L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe

Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin & L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe EdC (collage by Despina Veneti with photos courtesy of L’Artisan Parfumeur)

L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe (Fabrice Pellegrin, 2017): A creation from the brand’s eau de cologne collection, L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe is inspired by Édouard Manet’s 1863 painting “Le déjeuner sur l’herbe” (scandalous, at the time, due to its depiction of two fully dressed men casually picnicking with a nude female, while another one bathes in a stream). Although there’s nothing really shocking or provocative about the fragrance itself, it does deliver a somewhat unexpected take on a genre that’s mostly associated with radiant warmth and juiciness. This beautiful eau de cologne does comprise several citrusy notes, its overall sensation, however, is not summery-warm: it feels more like sitting on a cosy blanket placed on well-trimmed lawn, under timid sunshine and a crisp breeze. Perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin used lemon and bergamot placing the emphasis on their zesty, herbaceous qualities: I can almost experience the bitterish, invigorating essential oils sprinkling right out of the fruits’ peel. An intensely green neroli with vibrant soapy undertones introduces its herbal floralcy, while touches of abstract white blossoms, gentle woodiness and ethereal powederness provide interesting contrasts. Catalyst of the composition, the generous cloud of clean musks applies its soft-focus filter; at the same time, it persistently diffuses a highly enjoyable aura of mildly sweetened, cool and streamlined freshness that seamlessly blends into the wearer’s skin Officially listed notes: Lemon, Orange Flower, Musk

L'Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse aux papillons review

Perfumer Anne Flipo & L’Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse Aux Papillons EdT (collage by Despina Veneti with photos courtesy of L’Artisan Parfumeur)

L’Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse Aux Papillons (Anne Flipo, 1999):  A top-seller ever since it was launched, this delightful eau de toilette evokes idealized, sunny childhood memories of chasing butterflies amidst blooming trees and garden flowers. Its popularity is not hard to understand: it features a well-mannered (as green as it’s sweet) tuberose readily accessible to all, surrounded by romantic florals (orange and lemon flower, non-indolic jasmine), and honeyed linden blossoms. Perfumer Anne Flipo managed to handle some typically heady floral notes in a way that turned the fragrance’s name into a proper olfactive tale: in tune with  the simple lyricism and playful charm of a butterfly’s dance, L’Artisan Parfumeur La Chasse Aux Papillons exudes unaffected beauty and carefree joyousness – all under the prism of an aromatic interplay between sheerness and luminosity, like sunlight being filtered through a butterfly’s gauzy wings. The fragrance’s soft, melodious sillage is entirely appropriate to its story. Although the stronger-performing La Chasse Aux Papillons Extrême EdP is not without charm of its own, I’ve always preferred the uplifting transparency and delicate balancing act of the original EdT; after all, this is exactly what made La Chasse Aux Papillons stand out from the “crowd” some twenty-two years ago – and it’s what keeps it current in a market that’s saturated with innumerable white floral-centered scents. Officially listed notes: Orange Flower, Jasmine, Linden.

Karine Dubreuil & L’Artisan Parfumeur Mure Et Musc extreme

Perfumer Karine Dubreuil & L’Artisan Parfumeur Mûre Et Musc Extrême EdP (collage by Despina Veneti with photos courtesy of L’Artisan Parfumeur)

L’Artisan Parfumeur Mûre Et Musc Extrême (Karine Dubreuil, 1993): Jean-François Laporte’s 1978 Mûre et Musc was the fragrance that put the (newly founded at the time) House of L’Artisan Parfumeur on the map: as its joyful sillage started being carried around Paris, the women who radiated it were being stopped and asked what this youthful, exciting new scent was; soon enough, the boutique of L’Artisan Parfumeur became THE place to be for perfume lovers. The brand’s founder and initial perfumer, Mr. Laporte, started with what was essentially a chypre-shaded, eau de cologne type of composition, to which he added an overdose of smooth musks (galaxolide, ethylene brassylate); he then amplified the musks’ inherent fruity aspects with a naturalistic, innovative accord of blackberries (constructed with frambinone – a flavour component naturally found in raspberries – and blackcurrant bud). Comparing it to my pre-1990 sample, I find the current formulation of Mûre Et Musc EdT still pleasant (albeit short-lived on my skin); it does, however, leave me craving for more fruitiness. That is why I now prefer Karine Dubreuil’s L’Artisan Parfumeur Mûre Et Musc Extrême EdP: not only did it largely restore the vividly succulent aura of the original, it further enriched it with a variety of purple and red berries. The fruits feel naturally sweet, sun-ripened and mouth-watering. The musks are satin-smooth, luscious and lightly scented with vanilla, gradually revealing woody/peppery nuances. Under the loving guidance of cuddly orange blossom, fruits and musks melt into each other, emanating a scent of unassuming sensuality that delights my heart while waiting for brighter days to come. Officially listed notes: Blackberry, Red Berries, Musk.

Disclaimer: I’d like to thank L’Artisan Parfumeur for the bottles provided after my selection. The opinions are my own.

  • Summer sounds good right about now. I would like to try Mûre Et Musc Extrême EDT. Thanks from NY

  • I happen to love l’artisian fragrances so this is exciting to me. I would love to try the mure et musc extreme edp, as it sounds stunning and perfect for the summer. In the USA.

  • AleksCipri says:

I love L’Artisan Parfumeur. They are the reason I started collecting fragrances in the first place. When I first smell Premier Figuier Extreme I was hooked. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried too many of their offerings I must admit. For example somehow I still haven tried any of the three perfumes mentioned here. Despina’s article is very nice and detailed and makes me wanna go and smell all three of these. But as a white floral fragrance lover out of the three I must pick La Chasse Aux Papillons as the one that sounds the most appealing to me. I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I was fun to read about 3 different, but spring appropriate fragrances from L’artisan. I would love to try Sur L’Herbe. I love refreshing lemon fragrances, and like how Despina described the herbaceous herbal qualities of the lemon and bergamot. I live in Maryland USA.

Your article was so detailed I had to read it twice. The idea of sitting on a cosy blanket on a newly mowed lawn made me smile but what caught my eye the most was “blackberries (constructed with frambinone – a flavour component naturally found in raspberries – and blackcurrant bud)”. I love blackberries and raspberries so much that this idea of them present in a perfume intrigues me. If I am the lucky winner I would like to try Karine Dubreuil’s L’Artisan Parfumeur Mûre Et Musc Extrême EdP:

  • Although I would love to try any/all of them, the one I am most interested in after reading Despina’s article is the La Chasse aux Papillons EdT. It sound absolutely gorgeous. I love the way she likens the fragrance’s “sheerness and luminosity” to “sunlight being filtered through a butterfly’s gauzy wings”. Something that inspires such a beautiful analogy must be very special. I am in St. Louis, Missouri.

  • I loved the description of all three, especially the intensely bitter and green facets of Sur L’Herbe. Sounds like one I would enjoy thoroughly in the spring and summer. That one would be my pick to win. Also enjoyed the imagery when referring to the luminosity of La Chasse Aux Papillons as “sunlight being filtered through a butterfly’s gauzy wings.” Wonderful stuff. Never really was a fan of tuberose, but I can certainly get down with the succulant berries in Mure et Musc Extreme. Certainly one for the lover of fruits. Three very decent choices from LAP! MI, USA

  • Three wonderful choices! I do enjoy a floral fragrance during spring. So, if lucky, I’d choose La Chasse Aux Papillons Extrême. I liked the idea of “blooming trees and garden flowers”. Thanks for the opportunity! Mich USA

  • From Despina’s review and description, I’d love to win Mûre Et Musc Extrême, as she says “Jean-François Laporte’s 1978 Mûre et Musc was the fragrance that put the (newly founded at the time) House of L’Artisan Parfumeur on the map”. It is interesting to me how the three perfumes reviewed have a relatively small number of notes, but given the brand’s reputation, I’d guess they are all fabulous. I have tried only Al Oudh by this brand, and like it a lot. Thanks for the review and draw. From USA.

  • WaltherP99 says:

L’Artisan Parfumeur is a house i really like . During the years i went through 4 bottles of Premier Figuier ( 3 EDT , and 1 EDP) .
I was a bit surprised not to see it as L’Artisan Parfumeur Spring recommendation.
    At the moment I have:
    1) Vintage bottle of Amour Nocturne – my favorite.
    2) Vintage bottle of Traversee du Bosphore
    3) Noir Exquis – on my 2nd bottle.
    4) Premiere Figuier EDP
    5) Skin on Skin
Mûre Et Musc Extrême I like to win, with the
added blackberry and blackcurrent to the original Mure Et Musc fragrance, way more luxurious and rich scent was created in my opinion. Just like Despina i also get orange blossom.
I wear my fragrances for my own pleasure only , still I have to say you are bound to pick up compliments with this one.
Just followed @karinedubreulsereni , all other profiles I already follow.
    Thanks for the giveaway
USA only, not for long i hope

  • The three compositions are incredible but if I have to choose one I choose Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP. The mixture of musk and red berries sounds delicious. Greetings from Spain.

  • Ooh, I love Mure et Musc but it doesn’t work on my skin. Great review –did not know that Mure et Musc is built on a chypre-type composition. La Chasse Aux Papillons appeals most to me and I love the image of dappled sunlight and a butterfly’s wings. I’m in Portland, Or.

  • Mouth watering berries, blossoms, and musks sound divine. I really enjoyed that picture perfect essence of Mûre Et Musc Extrême and would love to add it to my collection. I’m in the USA. Cheers.

  • NiceVULady says:

I thought Despina’s descriptions were spot on and very clear as to what each fragrance smells like. If I win, I would love to try Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP. I like the enhanced elements and I really love the scent of blackberries. Many thanks for this most informative set of reviews and many thanks to L’Artisan Parfumeur for making this draw possible. I’m in the USA

  • Love to dive into the summer, really looking forward to try L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe. Living in the EU

  • Since a friend of mine introduced me to Mr Laporte’s L’Artisan Parfumeur i started to explore and i want to try Mure et Musk Extreme edp, thanks to your generousity from Romania with love!

  • Giorgia295 says:

So in love with le chasse is one of my fav from the artisan line, I really like tuberose and this ine is simply stunning and now days a classic for every fragrances enthusiast. At lesst you need to smell it!

    Love from Italy, Milan!

  • I remember trying Mûre et Musc and finding it very pleasant. A nice and delicate composition. Please count me in for that one. Thanks! I am in Europe.

  • Sur L’Herbe looks very interesting and I like the idea behind it. Sounds like a perfect fragrance for warm weather.
    Best regards from Europe

  • The mix of berries and musc sounds like a delicious combination. Less is more here. I would like to win Mure et Musc Extreme. Thank you.
    Europe

  • Thanks Despina for bringing back “old” perfumes to us… There are so many new releases that we forget to look back to scents were made a few years ago (The oldest here being from 1993). L’Artisan Parfumeur is a house I really love, I have bought and presented some Premier Figuier Extreme… ( I am a fig lover). I like the story of the beginnings of the house: as she explains a joyful sillage in Paris´women stopped and asked what this exciting new scent was an soon L’Artisan Parfumeur was a hit …. great! I would like to try Sur L’Herbe because I love refreshing green citruses fragrances, and love how Despina described the herbaceous tones of the lemon and bergamot : the cosy blanket in a sunny lawn with a breeze! I live in Spain, EU

  • Sun-ripened blackberries sound so dreamy. I would love to try the Mure et Musc. Thank you for the draw! From Germany

  • glowquest_ says:

I love Despinas articles, I got so excited when I saw this article in particular since Mure Et Musc is one I’ve been wanting to try for a while. And now knowing that the extreme has more fruitiness and berries! Yes please!! So that’s the one I would choose! NY, US

  • This was more than just a review; it gave some history and context for the house and these releases, as well as some insight into their formulation. I’d most like to win Mûre et Musc Extrême. (USA)

  • I’d like to win for the draw the Mure et Musc Extreme. I have had and very much like the Mure et Musc. I enjoyed most reading some history and description of the Mure et Musc. US

  • Nara Hodgson says:

It’s nice to see that these stood the test of time. I would love to try Mûre et Musc. I live in Virginia, USA

  • I’d love to win Mûre et Musc extrême because it’s an intense take on a classic. I don’t like the fruity scents of mainstream perfumery I’m a man so the fruits on my skin I don’t like, but I love to smell the green leaves, the stem and the fruits of the mulberry trees. “he then amplified the musks’ inherent fruity aspects with a naturalistic, innovative accord of blackberries” I love this sentence from Despina because that’s what I want to smell in this fragrance even with the overdose of synthetic musk, a naturalistic interpretation . If this scent succeeds in doing that then I want it! I live in France, EU

  • Julesinrose says:

I love this house and have more of their offerings than any other, so I’m very happy to see an article about them. I enjoyed the discussion of reformulation and a description of the newer Mure et Musc. That one would be my choice as I loved the original but never purchased a bottle. I’m in the US

  • Sur L’Herbe sounds perfect for me. I love orange blossoms in fragrances and tend to enjoy green, cold scents.
The review is very descriptive and allow me to clearly imagine what the scents would be like.
    From EU.

  • so tempted to try L’Artisan Parfumeur. From the article of Despina, she really made me want to try Sur L’Herbe for the near summer. Im in Garden Grove, California.

  • Thank you, Despina, for the refreshing article. La chasse aux papillons was one of the first perfumes I have ever smelled and it holds a special place in my heart. Thanks for bringing back long-forgotten memories.

I would like to try Mure et Musc Extreme.

    I live in The Netherlands.
    Kind regards,
    Diana

  • La Chasse Aux Papillons was one of my first niche perfume purchases. It’s so lovely and happy and summery. I’ve tried the original Mure et Musc which I recall liking. I would love to try the Mure et Musc Extreme version with amped up purple fruits. Commenting from MD, USA.

  • Wonderful read Despina !
I have special memories, and attachment to L’Artisan Parfumeur . Met my husband white wearing Vanille Absolument .Tried to find a bottle last month, but asking prices are over $220 now 🙁
“The fruits feel naturally sweet, sun-ripened and mouth-watering.”
I really need to such emotions right now.
Mûre Et Musc Extrême sounds so uplifting, I’d love to win a bottle.
L’artisan fragrances in my collection are Noir Exquis , Premier Figuier Extreme and Tea for Two.I do like all 3 ,but Noir Exquis is my favorite.
Thank you Despina , L’Artisan Parfumeur , and Cafleurebon.

Oh, I love this deep dive into L’Artisan Parfumeur! I’ve always loved their sophisticaled tinted bottles, and I’m a big fan of Bana Banana. I’m usually a huge fan of berry scents (Jo Malone Blackberry and Bay, Dior Rouge Trafalgar), but I don’t feel like I know Mure et Musc well enough. I would love to win a bottle of that! I’m in NYC.

  • This house has so many great sprint/summer offerings. And fou d’absinthe will always be one of my favorite scents of all time. I haven’t tried Sur L’Here yet but I would love to since I love citrusy green scent.
Thank you for the generosity. I live in France.

  • I loved learning about the history of some of these scents. The La Chasse Aux Papillons edt seemed the most intriguing. I would love to win that. I am in the USA.

  • I liked how Despina shed light on the creations of a line I am personally not as familiar with. I also enjoyed reading about the Manet inspiration for Sur L’Herbe. Of the three fragrances, I am drawn to La Chasse Aux Papillons the most because of the linden and orange blossom notes. I am in the USA.

  • L’Artisan I know is old reputable niche brand , but I know just a few of their fragrances. I owm and adore Noir Exquis , but I’ll have to smell a lot more.
Despina take on Mure Et Musc Extreme instantly reminded me of making, and eating Red Velvet Cakes with blackberries, strawberries, and red berries i do literally every day at my bakery. Sounds delicious , I hope I’ll be the winner.
Appreciate Despina review, and the giveaway campaign

I loved that Despina does the collages, too! Talented writer, collagist and a great name! Triple play. I’d like the L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe if I’m picked. I live in the USA.

  • i haven’t smelled any l’artisan fragrances in years — and i’ve *never* smelled any of these 3 (being relatively new to the floral and musk world. taste-wise, i mean.) so this review makes me want to try all 3. and thus i’d be happy with any one of them.

    harper (usa)

  • Thank you Despina for the reviews and L’Artisan Parfumeur for the giveaways. This style of review covers more ground and gives one more options. I’ve been curious about La Chasse Aux Papillons and haven’t yet had a chance to test it but from your review, it sounds as joyful as I imagined and would be stoked to win it. I’m in USA

  • I loved the simplicity and grace that accompanied Despina’s description of these three wonderful spring scents. Reading her words left me with a feeling of lightness, coziness and comfort, and at the same time curiosity to expand my knowledge about this house.
I would pick Mure et musc extreme, should I win. I tested the original and it’s indeed delightful, so I would love to also try its more potent version.
I am in the EU. Thanks!

  • La Chasse Aux Papillons sounds dreamy to me! Running in the garden, through blooming trees and fragrant flowers, chasing butterflies… I think this perfume will be a pleasing experience!
Thank you for the draw! I live in the EU

  • I do not have much experience with this house, as my preferences orbitate towards loud and polarizing scents, whereas, from what I have read and heard, L’Artisan Parfumeur creations are more subtle and polite, but reading the reviews, I think I will enjoy Mure et Musc Extreme.
I am in Europe. Thank you!

  • Courtenay COURIER says:

I enjoyed the description of all three, though one certainly caught my attention all the more. A sweet green with white floral would be a very welcome addition. I would be interested in the La Chasse Aux Papillons EdT. New Hampshire, USA.

  • Wow, what a great, poetic article by Despina. I would love to have Mûre Et Musc Extrême EdP. I live in Connecticut USA.

  • kramerongo says:

I learned about new brand that I never heard of. I like Papillion more beacuse its flower frag and its perfect for spring and summer wear. I am in Sweden EU

  • macaroni023 says:

All of them sound delightful, however I would prefer to surround myself with the woody sweetness of Mûre Et Musc Extrême. The idea of red berries combination with pepper notes is so mouth-watering. My favorite of all time from L’Artisan Parfumeur is Premier Figuier Extreme.
Thank you for the review and the draw, I am based in EU

  • ANDREEA ELENA TIMOFTE says:

From Despina’s article I like the Mûre Et Musc Extrême description: “fruits feel naturally sweet, sun-ripened and mouth-watering. The musks are satin-smooth, luscious and lightly scented with vanilla, gradually revealing woody/peppery nuances. Under the loving guidance of cuddly orange blossom, fruits and musks”, etc….and that is why I would like to win it, the L’Artisan Parfumeur Mûre Et Musc Extrême!!!
    I live in London, UK.

  • IvanVelikov says:

L’Artisan Parfumeur i know because of Noir Exquis – cuddling type of gourmand i really like. Even though I don’t know it , and notes are different,Mure Et Musc Extreme, and Noir Exquis do share the same ecstatic vibe . My choice of the three L’artisan fragrances Despina picked for the Spring.
    Thank you
    USA, rarely Paris France

  • Despina clearly depicted in her review the differences of these three “fresh” or rather juicy invigorating scents, which painted a clear picture for me who never tested any of the L’Artisan Parfumeur colognes before.

After reading the review I’d like to take my shot at L’Artisan Parfumeur Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP, as this one sounds like the perfect gift to my wife.
We live in the EU, Germany.

  • I appreciate learning about three fragrances which I’m not familiar with (I’ve heard of the second one of them but I haven’t tried it). I also appreciate learning more about this fragrance house; I found this article to be informative. I want to try all three of these fragrances, but if I win, then I’d choose the one that’s called “Mure Et Musc Extreme” because it sounds stronger than the first version of it and I would like to see what the berry notes in this are like, and in combination with the musk. Thank you for the opportunity to win; I live in MD., U.S.A.

  • These are lovely choices to wear for Spring!! I remember when I first sampled La Chasse Aux Papillons. It is so pretty and does remind of of being a child and chasing butterlies! It’s been so long since I’ve own a bottle. I long finished that first one many years ago. I would definitely choose it, if I win.

    I live in the USA.

  • haven’t got the chance to smell any of this trio, but so far, loved all the L’Artisan Parfumeur’s fragrances that made it to my fragrance wardrobe.
love the way Despina started the review with the herbal, went on with the floral and finished with the fruity – all three being stages of a summery picture.
I am from Europe, and if I’d be so terribly lucky to win, La chasse aux papillons it is my choice.

  • L’Artisan Parfumeur is a fantastic house. I have sampled many of their creations, and I own Noir Exquis. I really enjoyed the metaphors Despina offers in the article: sitting on trimmed lawn, the sunlight through the wings of a butterfly, or the satin-smooth musks. All the fragrances mentioned above seem amazing, but I would love to try Sur L’Herbe. Greetings from the EU (Greece).

  • redwheelbarrow says:

These all sound incredible and as I have never tried any of these I’m torn as to which one sounds most interesting to me. Having to choose one, I would choose Sur L’Herbe for the green, herbal soapiness. This sounds so refreshing for Spring. Thank you for the draw. I am in the US.

  • I enjoyed learning some of the history behind the house and these three perfumes. They all sound really nice. The one that most interests me is Mure et Musc Extreme EdP. I’m a big fan of raspberries, blackberries, and musk and that it has a vanillic quality only makes it more appealing to me. Hence, should I win I would choose Mure et Musc Extreme EdP. I’m from CT USA. Thanks for the generous draw.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thank you for that wonderful and detailed review Despina. I really enjoyed the depth and detail with which you took us on that olfactory journey in your reviews.

In particular, Sur L”Herbe caught me eyes/nose.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Michael Prince says:

In Despina’s article I enjoyed learning about some great warmer weather offerings from L’Artisan Parfumeur to include Sur L’Herbe EdC, La Chasse Aux Papillons EdT or Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP. Sur L’Herbe sounds like a beautiful airy, green, and fresh fragrance and La Chasse Aux Papillons sounds like a beautiful floral fragrance, but caught my attention was Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP. This is fruity and musky chypre that put L’Artisan Parfumeur on the map when the brand was just starting out. If I win I would pick Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • I really like the Mure et Musc as an eau de toilette. I would love to try the extreme version. Thank you! I am in the EU

  • Claumarchini says:

Since I have started not so long ago to properly study and expand my knowledge of the world of perfumery and especially niche and artistic perfumery, I very much enjoy these articles, that speak about history of perfumery, about great brands and famous scents that need to be known if you want to claim a bit of knowledge of this amazing world.
I have not – alas – tried anything from L’Artisan Parfumeur (mea culpa, I know…), I have been dreaming of going to their flagship shop in Paris as soon as we can resume travelling (I often go to Paris for work), for the time being I would be super-happy to be the lucky winner of Mûre et Musc Extrême EdP! Greetings from Italy

  • wandering_nose says:

Despina has managed to evoke the feeling if a bright spring/ summer day filled with carefree and joyful activities, with no imposed restrictions or limitations. Such a mood booster. I adore L’Artisan Parfumeur fragrances and have a couple in ny collection so I would be delighted to add one of the beauties discussed. My choice would be Mûre et Musc Extrême EDP. Thank you from the Republic od Ireland, EU

  • A very nice detailed review of three fragrances from a house that I have limited experience with, but I do love a good green fragrance especially if it’s a bit unique like Sur L’Herbe EdC so I would love to win that one.

    An I’m from Denmark

  • Thank you for this review of one of my first and favorite niche perfume houses. Miss the old bottles with the colorful labels and gold caps. The “beauty and carefree joyousness” of Chasse Aux Papillons is what I would like to revel in this spring, in orange, lemon jasmine and linden blossoms. Live in USA

  • petergigov says:

I think I need to try Mûre Et Musc Extrême . I like gourmands, but this time I’m happy we have not overly sweet raspberries and blackcurrant fragrance, with zesty bergamot.
Calmed down berries and musk drydown Is what I’m looking for.
The one L’artisan that impressed me the most is Dzing . Not only smells sophisticated, but it’s draws people into my scent bubble asking what my fragrance is.
Thank you L’artisan, and to Despina Veneti for the introduction of Mûre Et Musc Extrême
    Exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Mûre et Musc Extrême sounds very interesting from your description! And I love blackberries!
    Europe. Thank you!

  • I don’t have much experience with L’Artisan, but from the few I’ve tried from this house, there was Mure et Musc and I liked it. It didn’t last too much on my skin unfortunately, but I am sure that this enhanced version of it is more powerful and long lasting. If I were to win, I would go for Mure et Musc Extreme.
    Thank you!

  • Since I adore citrusy fragances L’Herbe was what caught my attention , and I felt intrigued when Despina wrote that it didn’t gave her “hot weather vibes” (like these type of fragrances are associated with) but more of a “cozy” season (like early Spring/Autumn) .

I would love the change to win L’Artisan Parfumeur Sur L’Herbe EdC.

    Thank you!

    Greetings from Portugal

  • I loved Despina’s vivid and detailed descriptions of the scents – I could almost smell them through the screen! I also appreciated that the ingredients used to create the accords were also highlighted, as that was very enlightening.

I would love to win La Chasse aux Papillons, and I live in the US. Thank you for the giveaway!

  • There’s always some kind of positive sensation around L’Artisan Parfumeur. Mûre Et Musc Extrême fits well in my theory. I so need vacation with a bergamot freshly squeezed juice , and raspberries and blackcurrant gelato , laying on a distant beach . Such picture Despina drew in my mind.
Timbuktu is my favorite L’Artisan fragrance. Thank you Despina, L’Artisan Parfumeur

  • Fruity chypre, small amount of vanilla and sensual musk , you can’t go wrong with sunny cheerful fragrance like Mure Et Musc Extreme .
L’Artisan Parfumeur I know because of Premier Figuier – one of the best fig fragrances, and a staple in my life. Extreme version I prefer.
    Thanks for the draw
