Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible Review (Romano Ricci) 2020 + A Different Musk Draw

Musc Invisible Juliette Has a Gun

Musc Invisible promo shot

Musk in perfumery… it can be skin or skank; seldom is it in between. It is difficult to compose a musk fragrance without it eliciting a strong response and to bring something new to the genre.

ROMANO RICCI is the perfumer OF jULIETTE HAS A GUN

Musc Invisible promo shot of Romano Ricci

Perfumer and Founder Romano Ricci of Juliette Has a Gun has this to say about was the new Musk Invisible: “Following Juliette Has a Gun Vanilla Vibes, I find myself facing once again another Giant of perfumery: Musk.  It’s used primarily as a base note in the perfumer’s palette, my challenge here was to preserve its addictive and silky properties while trying to keep them alive on top. The result is a light, clean composition, with a whisper of Cotton flower and Jasmine absolute… In the end, I would describe Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible as a lovely, sensual creature, the oddly reminds me of the smell of a clean skin… just starting to sweat.”

Sebastian and I both agree that Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible is more about the skin than the animalic, although there is a whisper of that too.  It reminds me of my favorite white cotton tee, worn for a day or two without washing. There is a powdery floral quality that feels rather comforting. Sometimes your perfume doesn’t need to shout to get attention. Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible is meant to be worn for yourself and for those who you want to lean in a little closer… Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Love Sebastian’s reviews and I’m a fan of some Juliette has a gun. Musc Invisible sounds very nice.

  • I have not smelled a fragrance with the note of cotton flower. I like clean white musk and have to say Musc Invisible sounds like a must try. Watching from Penn, USA.

  • As always great review by Sebastian. I really like clean musky fragrances, so this one really excites me! This type of fragrance is perfect as a skin scent. I also completely agree with the first sentence by Michelyn: “Musk in perfumery… it can be skin or skank; seldom is it in between.” The fact that this perfume tries to put musk in the top note is so interesting! I have to try this one. It feels like my cup of tea! I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Barbara Wittersheim says:

I love Sebastian’s reviews and this was no exception. Musk is my absolute favorite note, and I would love to try this one. I loved what he said about clean skin beginning to sweat, or a t-shirt that’s been worn for a couple of days without being washed. SWOOOON! I’m in the U.S. and appreciate this opportunity. Cheers!

  • What I liked was that Sebastian was really honest and talked about powdery heliotrope. It seems maybe not strong. I liked Michelyn talking about a white tee shirt you skipped washing for a day

  • Russell Johnson III says:

I just love how it smells clean as if someone is starting to sweat, like fresh out of the shower as one gets on a treadmill. Sebastian says it’s very powdery which is like some heavy iris fragrances, that light, baby powder scent, pleasing to the nose and soft to the touch. My absolute favorite JHaG is Lipstick Fever. As a man I wear it with pride. The raspberry. The wax. I have gotten an incredible amount of compliments from both women and men from Vanilla Vibes also. And the atomizers are god-tier. This house knows how to do fragrances and presentation. I am always anticipating their next release.

  • Michelyn mentioned that it’s a powdery skin scent. Musc Invisible sounds like a wonderful all weather, all season fragrance. Also, may be great for layering. I liked that Sebastian mentioned it’s simplistic, yet unique. Mich USA

  • Andrei Artimon says:

The baby powder comments by Sebastien really sound very apealing , would really want to experience this fragrance, new york , usa .

  • I enjoy light, ethereal musks very much. They remind me of a simpler more innocent time. I appreciate Sebastian’s review of Musc Invisible especially his discussion of jasmine and the powdery, heliotrope note. I have tried several Juliette Has a Gun fragrances from discovery sets, my favorite being Lady Vengeance. Commenting from the US.

Hello, Please enter me in your giveaway. I live in the United States in Florida. What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s video is how he describes this fragrance as having a milky creaminess with a floral vibe, finished with a light musk but not at all animalic. Also how the fragrance is very simplistic and to the point… only 3 notes listed/contributed from the house. And what I enjoyed about Michelyn’s introduction is how it is said that this will remind of your favorite cotton tee, and that sometimes your Perfume doesnt need to shout To get your attention, that sometimes you just just wear a perfume for yourself or for those to lean in just a little bit closer. Between Sebastian’s review and Michelyns review, it makes this scent smell like a really inviting and sensual fragrance that is very desiring and intimate. My favorite perfume from the house so far would be Not A Parfum… that is the only one I have smelled to date or gotten the chance to smell as of yet anyway, and I loved it! So I know I will like this one based on these two reviewers remarks. Thanks again for another great review and thanks for the opportunity to win this fragrance!!

  • wallygator88 says:

Thank you for the great review Sebastian. I’m always a fan of musks (especially the ones that you find in Narcisco Rodriguez).

Michelyn, I love how you say that this perfume is meant to be worn for yourself and those close/intimate to you.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I am a huge fan of Not a Perfume, Sunny Side Up, and all things musk. Musc Invisble sounds divine!

  • I love how The Perfume Guy (Sebastian) described it as a powder smell and a cotton note. I love his reviews and look to him for fragrance ideas. It makes me want to definitely add this to my collection. I also have never heard a fragrance be described as clean skin just before it sweats or as a Powdery floral scent that smells like a white tee that’s been worn a couple of days! I own on JHAG and was looking for another from this house to try. Please consider me for this unique but lovely sounding fragrance.

  • Another great review by Sebastian! I haven’t tried anything with cotton flower notes. And I love clean musky perfumes so this sounds so good to me. Hope I get to try it out!

  • nanaacolombo says:

Loved the idea of a clean milky musk. Loved Sebastians description of powder milk lol. My last purchase was JHAG Not a Perfume and I’ve been loving it. ADORE that thought of a day old t-shirt

  • I liked Michelyn’s description of Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible as reminding them of “my favorite white cotton tee, worn for a day or two without washing.” My favorite Juliette Has A Gun is Juliette Has A Gun Not a Perfume. I always love Sebastian’s reviews because he does such a great job of describing a perfume’s notes in realistic terms and how a perfume performs. I like skin scents, and Sebastian says it’s a skin scent and he has great taste, so Im sure I will like it.

  • It seems like from Sebastians review and Michelyn’s introduction they r on the same page about Musc Invisible. Particularly from Sebastians video i liked that he said this was different than others in his collection and how he mentioned it at some point reminding him of floral baby powder. Also he did mention as did Michelyn that this is more of a clean musk but does have some slight animalic hues. I liked the description in the intro of it being like a white tee worn a couple days without washing. It aounds interesting and different from a lot of other clean musk skin scents. Ive not tried anything from Juliet Has A Gun. Thanks for the generous draw. From CT USA.

  • I appreciated Michelyn’s introduction, simple, to the point – musk will either be skin or skank. As for Sebastian, he always explains fragrances thoroughly and well, with just enough infectious enthusiasm. Haven’t tried any Juliette Has a Gun frags yet, but I have a bucket list.

I live in Waldorf, MD, USA.

  • I was sent here from Sebastian’s reviews and I’m a huge fan of some Juliette has a gun fragrances.

  • I really liked the part of Sebastian’s video where he describes the perfume being similar to wearing baby powder.
From Mchelyn’s introduction, I really liked the description that it is more about the skin than the animalic and how it is similar to a day old cotton t-shirt.
I’ve never tried Juliette has a Gun before so I don’t have a favorite fragrance by this house.
    Fl, USA

  • From Sebastian’s review, Musc Invisible seems like a floral but very clean and safe wear. My favorite is Midnight Oud among the ones I have tested. USA

  • I live my bottle of Juliet has a gun which is the total opposite of this (mad Madame) from what Michelyn says more skin than skank . This skin scent is described wonderfully, clean, light, milky and subtle really does sounds like a nice afterthought perfume or after hours!

  • You had me at “musk”.
    Just getting into “Juliette”.
Following your recommendations- makes it safe to blind buy.
thanks for you knowledge and your nose.
    Regards,
    Ann- a fellow musk freak!

  • I love Juliette Has A Gun perfumes. My favorites so far are Mmmm and Gentlewoman & Vanilla Vibes. I love Jasmine though and have been getting into musks lately so this is exciting! I like the way Sebastian described it as wearing milk residue…might not sound appealing but there is something comforting about a milk smell. Michelyn’s reference to it being like wearing your favorite cotton tee is perfect! I love the imagery! Definitely will need to try this one!

  • I love Musc and powder notes in fragrance so I’m excited to get my nose on this to see what it smells like. Sebastian’s enthusiasm for this scent was reflected in his body language and his tone and made me want to visit a store to smell this frag ASAP! I love Not A Perfume and Super Dose on their own and combined with other fragrances!

  • This sounds like a beautiful, simple and easy-to-wear perfume. Juliette fragrances aren’t typically my thing but this one sounds nice. I live in the USA.

  • Gabriel Garcia Leyva says:

I’m always interested in this topic, and as always loved Sébastien reviews, like michelyn said about the musk, to me it may take days to be fully experienced, big fan of musks here,,

I enjoyed Sunny Side Up as part of my summer repertoire….fall is Musk time! one of the pleasures of quarantine was diving into fragrance and trying different notes and finding out what they express…I love musks of all sorts all the way from Kiehls, Musc Ravageur to Bruno Acampora’s oil. THIS IS A DEFINITE MUSK TRY FOR ME…

  • IvanVelikov says:

Juliette Has a Gun was a new house to me. I have heard the name mentioned on Youtube because ot Vanilla Vibes , and after Cafleurebon review I went trying it, and now I own it , it’s even my scent of the day.
Vanilla Vibes Sebastian mentioned, is a pleasant mostly warm weather scent . Vanilla , salt and orchid combination I can wear all year round, even if it’s cold ,if I overspray of course.
Not a Musk Invisible will be a nice fall pair to Vanilla Vibes , powdered milk , musky and non offensive.
    Thank you for the generosity.
    USA

  • Sebastians comments about the powderiness would probably put me off in other situations, but it sounds just so right for this scent. And I love Mchelyn’s t-shirt analog. I don’t have a favorite Juliette Has a Gun Fragrance. I am in the US.

  • Sebastian is so good promoting fragrances. I feel like I have to try at least 8/10 fragrances he’s reviewing. Same thing again and again haha .
The truth most people are buying fragrances like Not a Perfume Overdose , and now the new Musc Invisible not to wear them as standalone fragrances, but to layer them , to extend the longevity and projection of those close to the skin perfumes they love , or just to tweak the smell a bit. You want more musc in your fragrance, you now got it
Not a Perfume Overdose I own, and I love it for what it is, like I said I only layer it with other fragrances.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign.

  • From Michelyn’s introduction I like this, “to be worn for yourself and for those who you want to lean in a little closer”. From the video I’m liking the musk and powdery aspect. I do like Not a Perfume. US

  • The words “floral musky powdery fragrance” are enough to make me fall in love. I love the clean white musk with a little animalistic side. Who wouldn’t want to smell like “baby powder”? Like it is stated in Sebastian’s review. It’s probably one of the most charming essences. This skin scent is one to really keep in mind. Different (according to descriptions) to a lot of others white musk. By the way, Juliette has a Gun is an excellent name, I’ve liked it since I first heard it.

  • Honeydew Crenshaw says:

Sebastian does a good job of being direct with the description; sounds like a clean representation of musk that I’d like to wear

  • redwheelbarrow says:

Love Sebastian’s reviews. This one sounds so comforting. I love his description of powered milk. I love musks although sometimes have trouble smelling them. I may need to try this one! Thanks for the draw. I’m in the US.

  • isaaclopedia says:

Omg I looove Juliette Has A Gun. Specifically Not A Perfume, very much my vibe. I love musk in fragrance, but I lean more towards skin than skank lol. I like when Michelyn compared it to her favorite white tee shirt, that’s right up my alley. Great review from Sebastian as usual, I always like when he guesses at notes that aren’t explicitly listed in the fragrance. It gives me a much more realistic feel for the actual fragrance. I actually found this blog through his youtube channel, glad I did. Would love to try this one, I think it would suit me very well. I’m in California <3

  • I haven’t tried Juliette Has A Gun fragrance, yet. From Michelyn’s introduction and Sebastian’s video, it is clear what Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible would be like. I like Musk fragrances, but this one seems more on the gentler muskier side, with its powdery, creamy, flora touches. Not much experience with such fragrances, so it would be great to try it out. Thanks for the review and the draw. Writing from the USA.

  • As always, this was a great review. I don’t have any scents from this house yet. So, I would love to try this one since I do like musc scents.

  • Allyson Ambrose says:

I’m intrigued by the description of this perfume as being a powdery clean skin scent. I love how Sebastian described it as like baby powder and I love the description here of it being like a white tee.

My favorite JHAG scent is Vanilla Vibes. I’m dying to try Musc Invisible.

  • Terilaine Davis says:

His review of this fragrance is very spot on, it seems. Not having smelled this fragrance, his description makes me want to buy. My Not a Perfume stays in my stash and I would love to add this to my collection.

  • israelfriedmann says:

Every time I can I see the super interesting reviews of Sebastián.
The simple composition of Musc Invisible, by Juliette Has A Gun, for that reason, it is still intriguing to me.
By having that animalistic touch in it.

  • ceruleansea says:

I really like it when Sebastian talks about skin scents. If a fragrance ends up with that designation, it’s almost a guarantee I’ll like it!
JHAG Not a Perfume and Sunny Side Up are staples in my fragrance collection. Actually Not a Perfume was my real entry into the perfume world a few years ago.
As mentioned in the introduction, I tend to wear fragrances for myself, so this musk fits right in. I did purchase a sample and I looove it. I’m wearing it today, which inspired me to look and see if Sebastian had a review. And Woo hoo, there it was!

Thank you both for your insights.

P.S. the blue bottle is stunning

  • I agree with Michelyn: “Sometimes your perfume doesn’t need to shout to get attention. Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible is meant to be worn for yourself and for those who you want to lean in a little closer…”
And I like how Sebastian described Juliette has a gun ” Music Invisible” as a wonderful comforting creamy, sugared, powdery-milky, close to skin with slight hints of Almond! Sounds lovely to me, especially nowdays.
    Florida, USA

  • While Sebastian says that this is a “simple” scent in line with other JHAG offerings, the evolution from jasmine (top) to cotton flower (heart) to musk (base) is interesting, as Sebastian describes the hint of heliotrope and something almond-y. I love anything almond-y (even if it is not the main event) so this is definitely my cup of tea. My favorite JHAG fragrance is Into the Void and I’m based in the US.

  • Juliette has a gun I know because of “Mmmm” . It’s like a Hypnotic Poison flanker – had to get it, since I am huge Hypnotic Poison fan.It is really sweet , and vanilla is the most prominent note. With such colognes you could create your own flankers , for example layering Mmmm and Musk Invisible , I’ll change it a bit, giving it milky touch. Nice opportunity, thank you.

  • Alway enjoy watching Sebastian’s thorough and engaging reviews! I enjoy clean mucky scents so this one intrigues me with its simplicity. I have yet to own a Juliet has a gun perfume. Maybe my luck would change with this one! Based in the US

  • Sebastian and his reviews I’ll never get tired of. “almost like I’m powdered myself with baby powder and I’m smelling how beautiful, gentle and floral this powder is , all over me ”
    I like the whole picture.
    Thank you. USA

  • Michael Prince says:

Michelyn great introduction and Sebastian great review of Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible. This fragrance goes the same same direction as other Juliette Has a Gun fragrances that are a skin scent made for close encounters. Musc Invisible utilizes a clean white musk, a unique cotton flower note, and jasmine absolute. A clean and sensual musky wet skin vibe can be perfect for close encounters or a day you want to wear a light, nonprojecting, and inoffensive fragrance. My favorite Juliette Has a Gun fragrance is Vanilla Vibes. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • I’ve never smelled a cotton flower note, so I have no idea what that would be, however, given the rest of the fragrance, it sounds somewhat gentle and just pleasant, which is great. “Sometimes your perfume doesn’t need to shout to get attention. ” Thanks to Sebastian for another great review and thanks to Europerfumes for making this draw possible. I’m in the USA

  • I love Sebastian’s review of the different notes of this perfume. I am a huge fan of musk based perfumes so this sounds like right up my alley. I love skin scents and this sounds lovely! His description of it as being like a worn in t shirt really describes Musk well. It’s skin and it’s comfort.

Like always Sebastian reviews are very descriptive and informative. I haven’t had the privilege of smelling this particular one yet but I love to try it. From this house of perfume I have smelled Not a Perfume and I liked it very much. Commenting from Orlando, Fl USA. Thank you for another great review and draw.

  • As always great review by Sebastian. Thank you !!
I really like clean musky fragrances, but if they have good projection.
Sebastian says it’s very powdery- musk with powder- sounds good.

  • Juliette Has a Gun name I’ve heard, but have no experience with it.
Musc Invisible is simplistic, yet close encounters cuddling fragrance.

  • It’s pouring on the outside, and Musk Invisible
I would gladly wear at this moment. It will be perfect for leaves on the ground, and lots of rain kind of days.
I’ve been following Cafleurebon,Sebastian ,Romano and Juliette Has A Gun on IG for a long time.
Own full bottle of Into The Void , and i had Mmm . Into The Void is not from the same line as Musk Invisible ,but from more upscale line called “Luxury collection”.
    Nice giveaway, thank you.

  • Great review by Sebastian and I loved his description of the fragrance! I am glad that he specified this is a powdery musk scent. I am very intrigued by the cotton flower note and using musk as the top note which is very interesting. Thanks for the generous giveaway and I live in the US!

  • Ahmed Hamoda says:

I love this brand. I like Musc too. I think it would be good work scent. Can’t wait to try this one Sephora.

  • I had no experience with Juliette Has a Gun , but enjoyed the reviews of Lady Vengeance by Christi Long , and Vanilla Vibes by Mr. Jara . Tried some , and and up buying Vanilla Vibes.
Beachy , suntan lotion kind of smell, with coconut , some aquatic and salty touches, and big dose of vanilla. Almost exactly like Mr. Jara described it.
    Musc Invisible ?
Milky musc is combination I’m interested to try
. As a barber I think it would be well suited for rainy weather.
    Thank you. USA

  • When I first heard about this fragrance I was thinking it would be laundry musk, but I’m relieved to hear it sounds better than that. I always like Sebastian’s reviews as he always does a great job of describing the notes and how they work together. I love musk that has that soft warm skin smell, and this sounds like it might be close to that, thanks to Michelyn’s introduction. I don’t think I have a favorite from this house, though I do like Vanilla Vibes quite a bit. I live in the USA. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Jessica Wagner says:

The jasmine note, and the sound of an invisible musk/ skin scent sounds like it’d be right up my alley. I’d love the opportunity to try it!
