Perfumer Marie Schnirer of MAELSTROM and Francois Henin of Jovoy Paris
Jovoy Paris Parfums, founded by Creative Director Francois Henin has had an excellent year with two outstanding releases, Remember Me (Cecile Zarokian) and Jovoy Paris Rouge Pavillion (MarieSchnirer, a young perfumer with Maelstrom who works with Patrice Revillard and Yohan Cervi— lez nez behind Iris de Fath). Translated from the French, Rouge Pavillion means red flag (there’s a pirate story connected in the marketing copy… let’s move on, as we find it more a posh gentleman’s club fragrance), but there’s no red flag when it comes to this perfume.

Do NOT stop until you get your nose on Jovoy Rouge Pavillion, a boozy tobacco parfum with ebony wood at the base (it is one if not the only wood that won’t float, so perhaps that is the treasure chest the privateers left at the bottom of the ocean. ÇaFleureBon was the first to review the new Jovoy perfumes in 2011 and we all are fans of the house.
Sr. Contributor Sebastian Jara counts it as one of his top perfumeries and especially asked for Jovoy Paris Rouge Pavillion for this review. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief
