Hermetica Multilotus Review (Aliénor Massenet) + Regenerative Alchemy Draw

hermetica multilotus

Like a head long dive into a cool clear emerald green pool, Hermetica Multilotus is akin to an exclusive spa visit deep in the teeming and lush tropical highland forests of Sri Lanka. As a symbol in many Eastern cultures, the lotus flower represents awakening and rebirth, as it disappears each evening into murky watery depths, only to re-bloom each morning intact and perfect. The Gautama Buddha is often depicted sitting on a lotus throne, and his very first steps on Earth are said to have left lotus flowers in their path.

Hermetica perfumes is  a new brand  from John and Clara Molloy, best known as the Owners/Creative Directors of the much-lauded Memo Paris which has brought to life such extraordinary fragrances as Ihla Do Mel, Marfa, Tamarindo, and the unforgettable “Leathers” line. These two inveterate world-travelers have imbued their Hermetica perfumes with a healthy dose of spiritual intention while maintaining fragrances that are “green, clean, and alcohol-free” and last forever on your skin. These water-based scents go on lightly, stick around tenaciously, and provide a fragrance that not only smells amazing, but moisturizes as well. An initial fine misting of Multilotus on my arm creates a visible slick, and my senses are immediately stunned by strong notes of citrus and jungle flora floating in an almost paradisiacal aquatic base.

Hermetica perfume reviews green beauty

Lotus floating lady via wallhere.com

The beauty of Hermetica Multilotus (as with all the Hermetica perfumes) lies in its inherent ability to deliver the top and mid-notes simultaneously. Right from the first whiff, what you smell is what get and what you get is a consciousness-expanding explosion of joyous floralcy that has seen my nose glued to my wrist for the past five days. Jasmine, osmanthus, and a multi-floral experience backed by one of the most beautiful and profoundly perfect aqueous notes I’ve ever encountered. It’s as if I am languidly stepping into a secret garden pool of floating lotus blooms, my skin slowly anointed with scented holy water until I am completely and utterly submerged in a private biosphere of sun-dappled green and bloom. Multilotus is relaxing and restorative, regenerative in a time-stopping perception that leaves me feeling peaceful and calm, taming my “monkey-mind” and allowing me to be fully present and in-the-moment.  Hermetica Multilotus is a gift to yourself, and my hope is that you will give yourself this gift very soon.

Notes: Bergamot Essence, Green Fresh Molecule, Floral Fresh Molecule, Osmanthus Absolute, Jasmine Sambac Absolute, Modern Musk Molecule, Sandalwood Essence

Disclosure: Thanks so much to Europerfumes for the Multilotus. The opinions are my own.

I am intrigued by the non-traditional, moisturizing quality of this fragrance, which contains such fresh green notes and beautiful florals. I would also be interested in experiencing top notes being delivered with middle notes. I am not familiar with this line, but I would love to try it. I live in the USA.

  • What a beautiful review! I’ve never tried Hermetica, but I’d love to! I’m in the USA.

  • I really liked Roberts review. A spiritual fragrance is what I like. MultiLotus. I have not tried but I would have gratitude if I could try. I live in CA, USA. Many blessings.

  • andalabanda says:

Interesting description! A fragrance that moisturizes and has a spiritual dimension? It sounds more like a cosmeceutical/ aromatic oil than a fragrance. :)I am not familiar with the brand, but I will try to get the discovery set from Perfumology. Or maybe I will win this bottle. 🙂

  • Hermetica is amazing. I had the opportunity to smell these while traveling and they are lovely. Multilotus is perfect for spring and summer, so fresh, light and beautiful. I also really loved Rosefire. Thank you for the draw, live in the US.

  • VerbenaLuvvr says:

I am not generally into aquatics, but based on Robert’s review, I would be willing to step into this pool myself and the green glass packaging just adds to that allure. I have not yet tried anything from this line and am adding Jade888, Rosefire, and Sandalsun to my sample list. Thank you for this draw, I live in the US.

  • d3m0lici0n says:

The notes listed are really interesting. I wonder how a really well composed aqueous note smells like. Usually they are a chemical mess.
Plus i love osmanthus! And how interesting that the top and middle notes are shown at once together. Love to try this one.

Beautiful review, Robert. I’ve been leery of water perfumes in the past, your lovely review has piqued my interest. Thanks.

  • fazalcheema says:

I read about Hermetica line a while ago and it seems they are trying to employ the latest materials and techniques to create modern creations. Multilotus seems like it is an ode to nature and I think there are also others in the line that have been inspired by nature and have green elements. I am in US.

  • Multilotus would be perfect for warmer spring weather, imho. I enjoyed imagining that I was floating in a lotus pond. ♤♡♤ Fantastic draw, thank you! USA

  • This checks a lot of personal boxes. I’ve never tried this house’s offerings. I’d like to experience what simultaneously smelling top and mid-notes is like. US

I absolutely love jasmine, and I wish I had more chances to smell it. It would be great to get a whiff of this masterpiece. I’m in the us.

  • I have not tried the Hermetica line yet. I appreciate the introduction of new lines that CaFleurBon always brings. I loved that Robert described Multilotus as “a multi-floral experience.” This is my kind of perfume. I would love to try it. Thanks for the giveaway. In the USA.

  • This sounds like such a Zen fragrance. Jasmine is one of my favorite notes, but then blended with musk and sandalwood in the drydown really adds such a ethereal touch.

Of course i know Memo Paris , but not the younger brother.Hermetica Multilotus is right up my alley type of fragrance – “strong notes of citrus and jungle flora floating in an almost paradisiacal aquatic base” and “explosion of joyous floralcy” ..I also like it’s a long lasting fragrance , a + no doubt.

Thank you Robert for the review , and Cafleurebon and Europerfumes for the draw.

    Cheers from VA

I’ve never tried any of the fragrances from Hermetica, but it certainly sounds most intriguing from Robert’s review. The imagery evokes a really pleasurable experience and one which I would love to try. Thank you for the review and the draw. I’m in the USA

  • DulciusExAsperis says:

WOW this sounds gorgeous! The description of stepping into a lotus pool is particularly appealing. I have never tried Hermetica but this sounds really great, I would love to try it. Thanks for the chance!

  • This Hermetica Multilotus sounds unlike anything I’ve ever smelled. I’m very intrigued and as a painter, the description brought some very beautiful images to my mind. I’d love to try this. I live in the U.S., in New England.

  • bigscoundrel says:

Multilotus sounds interesting that it can deliver the top and mid notes at the same time and still maintain its relaxing approach while never becoming chaotic. I’m in the USA.

  • citizenkage says:

I haven’t tried Hermetica but I have tried a few of the leathers from this house. All of which were fantastic. This sounds amazing! I like the idea of a long lasting alcohol free fragrance that moisturizes. Would love to try. Regards from USA.

  • I’ve never had the chance to try any fragrance from this house but i do love the bottles. Even if Multilotus name doesn’t catch me, the notes list look really good and i think i would like it. Thank you for the draw.

  • Uncle1979 says:

First time I’ve heard Hermetica was on YouTube. Reviewer called NotesPunch did pretty good brand overview on his channel. I also remember Ida Meister did Jade 888 honest, and straight to the point review.
Never had a chance to smell Hermetica fragrances , but I own a bottle of Tiger’s Nest from the parent company Memo Paris, and over 10 samples too. I so wanted to get African Leather, but unfortunately I get average performance from it. Tiger’s Nest works wonders through.
Multilotus sounds good – floral and fruity with decent performance. I like linear fragrances too.
    Appreciate the giveaway campaign

  • Robert Herrmann says:

Thank you all so much for the kind words. Multilotus really surprised me, not only with it’s complexity and “linear pyramid” of notes, but the longevity was off the charts for me, and that texture…. kind if like a dry oil mixed in water! Fascinating!

  • Michael Prince says:

Hermetica Multilotus sounds like a beautiful fragrance with a harmonious blend of green, floral, and aquatic notes. Then you get that unique lotus flower note thrown in to compliment the fragrance. I would love to try this one out. I am from the USA.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

Great review. This does sound like a spa in a bottle. Is this a new trend with moisturizing ingredients in perfume? It is such a lovely idea. I’m also intrigued with the notes being delivered together. I think I will be ordering a discovery kit soon. I am in US.

  • doveskylark says:

This glorious review reminded me of a trip I took to Kyoto one hot and sticky August. I spent 4 days visiting temples famous for lotus flower gardens. I drank copious amounts of iced green tea and ate lots of matcha soft serve ice cream to say cool. This fragrance would be wonderful to spray on while exploring sun-dappled green and bloom, as Robert so eloquently put it, in different locations around the world.
    I live in the USA.

  • WaltherP99 says:

I do own the full Hermetica sample set , and my impressions are a bit different compaired to what Robert is getting from Multilotus . I do not get “explosion of joyous floralcy” . Sure there’s florals from the first spray ,till the very end, but on my skin Multilotus is zingy , fresh and clean fragrance with a lot of peach coming from osmanthus .It’s soapy too . To me it’s well suited fragrance for casual wear. It’s marketed as unisex , but it leans feminine on me.I do like osmanthus a lot , and i like it , but some guys won’t – it will be too feminine for them.Longevity is really good , projection and sillage – decent.

My personal favotite Hermetica fragrance is by far Sandalsun . Evety gourmand lover should sample it.

  • Thank you Robert for a wonderful review and the opportunity to win a bottle. I’m intrigued by the spiritualistic description of the fragrance and rather curious to try out Hermetica Multilotus specifically since I’ve not experienced Osmanthus. I’m in TX USA

  • IvanVelikov says:

“fragrances that are “green, clean, and alcohol-free” and last forever on your skin”
Ok you got my attention . Strong citrus start , jasmine, osmanthus , and on top of all relaxing and restorative? I’m in it to win it.
Good performance is always appreciated . I like my fragrances strong. I’ll have to check this brand.
    Thank you all.

  • I’ve never tried this brand but it does sound interesting being water based and moisturizing. The Jasmine and Osmanthus really appeal to me. I live in the USA.thanks for the giveaway!

  • Strong citruses , florals and tenaciously strong performance I like a lot. Sounds like perfect for the spring and summer nights fragrance. Performance is good-that’s always a plus . Don’t like airy and transparent fragrances.
    Thanks for the draw
