Best Mother's Day Perfumes 2023 for every mom

Great Mother’s Day Perfumes 2023 photo Steven

Mother’s Day in the USA is Sunday May 14th this year (but is celebrated on Sundays in March and June in other countries around the world). If it was up to us, Mother’s Day should be a global holiday. Not only do moms never get a day off, their special day is always Sunday (usually a day of play for the rest of us).  We co-curated five luxury, niche and independent perfumes which we dedicate to all mothers and the maternal women who shaped our lives. (which might be you, your aunt, your sister, your friend, your own mom…  and those who live on in our memories. –Michelyn

Here are Steven’s and Michelyn’s suggestions for five Great Mother’s Day Perfumes 2023 for the women in your life (in no order):

Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart (Christophe Laudamiel)Meltmyheart is one of my top oud based perfumes of all time, but it’s so much more. I wore it last week to dinner and got compliments galore! Glowing mandarin, like the last warm rays of sunshine on summer blooms of jasmine, magnolia and rose  before giving way to deeper hues of ginger and dusty cocoa. Creamy sandalwood and buttery orris are all wrapped in a warm oud embrace. Meltmyheart could easily be worn by men and makes a great date fragrance (wink) –Michelyn

Perfumology L’Ima (Justin Federico and evaluator Ida Meister): Nir Guy, the owner of the niche perfume boutique Perfumology desired a perfume to honor his mother Tali’s love for her own mother’s garden and encompasses all aspects of a majestic garden with an abundance of  herbs, florals, citrus fruits, and greenery (L’Ima: means Mom in Hebrew). Here is an excerpt from what Ida, (a mom to two young men) wrote in her review of the 3 Perfumology fragrances you should be wearing,”L’Ima is awash with citrus, a spicy little peppermint note to offset dulcet lemon verbena (verveine) and simply gorgeous blossoms. I’m particularly fond of the tomato leaf and the subtle employment of resinous materials which could easily overwhelm this composition in less skilled hands. There’s no substitute for orris or ambrette: their enduring delicacy blends beautifully with sandalwood.Michelyn and Deputy Editor Ida Meister

BY KILIAN Can’t Stop Loving You (2023) is an endearing composition crafted by master perfumer Alberto Morillas. This perfume features an orange blossom ingredient that is drenched in mellifluous honey. A base of moss is grounding and resolute. The sweetness of the honey is genial and warm. Hints of vanilla cam also be perceived in the dry down. The beauty of the orange blossom is sure to take your breath away. –Steven (available at Luckyscent.com).

Nicole Derieux Villa des Parfums

Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste (Nicole Derieux and Molinard): Nicole Derieux is a woman I admire very much. She is a mom to her son Etienne, and three teenage children for whom she and her husband are foster parents. She lives in Grasse, the world’s perfume capital and recently started to run marathons. In 2008 Nicole Derieux established the non-profit Parfums de Vie (Fragrance of Life) to help bring real solutions to the poverty, exclusion and literacy issues faced by many children and youth in the town of Grasse. With her husband they set out to change lives through perfume, and proceeds from every sale of Villa des Parfums fragrances goes to support the work of the nonprofit Parfums de Vie. Etoile Celeste, (Heavenly Star) smells like a floral garden after a spring shower With its classic French construction centering around a dewy, sparkling jasmine that is so photorealistic you can smell the rain drops spattered on the petals drying in the sun. Jasmine is supported by orange blossom, rose, violet and a base of cedarwood and musk in a perfume that is modern, with a vintage vibe. Etoile Celeste it is a scented prayer at a time many feel that we need a guiding light. –Michelyn

Parfums de Marly Delina (Quentin Bisch): Since its debut in 2017, Delina has taken on a life of its own and has become one of the most talked about feminine fragrances on social media (#PerfumeTikTok devotees rave it’s the best perfume ever).

In a brief interview with perfumer Quentin Bisch, he told me in his own words that his inspiration for Delina was “a garden of roses, mid-day, fully blooming. Majestic roses, thousands of petals and with this litchi I adore and hint of crispy rhubarb. And creamy woods for contrast and modernity. Simple formula, direct, clear, beautiful ingredients blended with the perfect dosage.“

Delina is a perfume I just gifted my own mom, (who always told me “I do not like rose perfumes. Fortunately, unlike our readers and viewers, she doesn’t read notes!!)” Parfums de Marly Delina unfolds with taste of tart, sweet lychee and tangy rhubarb made transparent with the fresh shimmer and zest of bergamot. The translucent pink bottle simply glows. Like a glass of chilled rosé Delina is pure refreshment. Here’s to you Mom, I love you so –Michelyn

Looking at the choices they are definitely nurturing, endearing, even cozy fragrances tailored for moms. I agree with Michelyn’s take on that Mother’s Day should be celebrated everyday and not just one because they are mothers every single day of the year. Steven’s description of Delina is accurate as it’s very sensual and flirty and should absolutely be on the number 1. I’d love to win either Parfums De Marly Delina or NYC Strangelove’s Melt My Heart. Cheers from NJ, USA.

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

First off, great video and article.
Thank you Steven and Michelyn for choosing 5 great recommendations. If I had a choice I would Definitely love to win a bottle of Delina…fortunately I read notes and I love all the notes in the fragrance. Thank you for the opportunity to win. Happy Mother’s Day, to anyone who celebrates.
    Florida, USA

  • Mother’s Day is a special occasion, and the idea of emphasising the importance of this day is wonderful. I watched Steven’s video with great pleasure and enjoyed how he eloquently described the selected perfumes. Michelyn’s review, as always, is fantastic. Her descriptions are so vivid and engaging that one is immediately drawn to try all the perfumes.

I am particularly intrigued by the notes and description of the ‘meltmyheart’ perfume and would love to have the opportunity to try it.

I appreciate the attention given to this special day, and the featured perfumes are a fantastic way to celebrate the occasion.
    Kindest regards from United Kingdom.

  • I like how Steven describes Delina as youthful and flirtatious. It was endearing how Michelyn just gifted her own mom Delina. I live in California, USA. I would pick Melt My Heart, then L’ima.

  • I would love to win a 15 ml EDP bottle of meltmyheart. I thought that Steven’s video was full of very intriguing facts and it was a very professionally made one. I think that Michelyn’s written review is absolutely beautiful and I learnt a lot about great fragrances for Mother’s Day. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. I am an Instagram follower, this is my Insta name: insztagramekphoto. I sometimes gift my mom with perfume and I’m planning on doing it very soon because her birthday is on the 5th of May. I’ll probably also think about something interesting for Mother’s Day. Thank you for the inspiration!

  • starsnek says:

Parfums de Marly Delina sounds like something my mom would really enjoy. I would love to gift her a gorgeous bottle of Delina. The best bouquet of roses for Mother’s Day. Hello from HI, USA!

  • Maryjean says:

Great Video Steven. Loved Michelyn’s introduction on what Mother’s day means to her. Great picks my choice would be Delina. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • JulieeCee says:

Wonderful collaborative curated list of scents for the special woman. I always give my mom fragrance for Mother’s Day, in addition to taking her out to lunch! I enjoyed watching Steve talk about the 5 chosen as well as learning additional information about each scent from Michelyn’s written review. Great duo! I love Nir at Perfumology so a fragrance inspired by his mom would be amazing! My 2nd choice would be Etoile Celeste, as I really appreciate florals, especially rose, from Grasse. I would also adore Kilian’s Can’t Stop Loving You — the perfect sentiment for how I feel about my mother. <3

Mother’s Day is such a special day. I agree that Delina is a perfect Mother’s Day gift. I’d love to win either Parfums De Marly Delina or NYC Strangelove’s Melt My Heart. From Ct USA

  • Noth Steven’s video and Michelyn’s reviews were great and helpful. I do like the way Steven’s described Delina and Michelyn’s description of Can’t Stop Loving You makes it sound great as well tho not available as a choice. The fragrance that stands out most to me though is MeltMyHeart by Strangelove NYC and that is the one I would choose in the draw. I don’t gift my mom perfume shes difficult ylto buy for lol but my girlfriend who is a mom I do. In fact she already has one of these fragrances, L’Ima and she enjoys it. I think we would both enjoy MeltMyHeart if I was to win. Thanks for the generous draw, from CT USA. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there and thanks for all you do! Following on ig from @ck.uno_

  • Michelyn says she has gifted Delina to her mom even though she does not like rose. Steven talks about meltmyheart as a sensual fragrance that has oud and orris among other notes. My choices are Delina and meltmyheart. I am in USA.

  • Laurentiu says:

I have always wanted to try Strangelove and I feel like I got the chance now. They have few offerings, but each of them seems pretty unique and very interesting. The notes sounds good and I can see why it is a compliment getter!
    Thanks! EU

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Happy Mother’s Day! Mother’s Day should be celebrated every day like Micheyn said.
I like to win Etoile Céleste, a heavenly floral bouquet enveloping the skin with a captivating trail of magnetic femininity. I am from EU

  • Breeshawn Wright says:

This is so nice! Yes, Mothers Day should be celebrated everyday.

  • These are really beautiful choices for Mother’s Day and for any woman in fact. I find both Steven’s and Michelyn’s reviews amazing and helpful in choosing between so many perfumes.

I’d love to win Étoile Céleste mostly because of Nicole Derieux that I admire.

    EU

  • All great sounding choices.

I love the sound of L’ima. Spicy peppermint, citrus and tomato leaf make this a fragrant salad.

Steven take of a bright everyday fragrance is what drew me. Love the spring and summer fragrance’s

    My choice would be L’Ima

Something my wife and I could wear.

    Thanks from the USA

  • Scentsational Exchange says:

First I want to say thank you for such a wonderful touching article, because it is very important to celebrate Mother’s Day and remind them and yourself that there is no more important person in life. I love all the fragrances mentioned in the article and described by Steven in his video.

Strangelove`s NYC MeltMyHeart: A warm and captivating oud-based perfume with a wonderful notes of mandarin, jasmine, magnolia, rose, ginger, cocoa, sandalwood, and orris. All my favorite notes! And it was very interesting to find out that it utilizes the highest quality oud oil from Laos.

It is also very touching to know from Steven`s review that Perfumology`s L’Ima is translated as “for mother”, but I would say maybe “grandmother” as this refreshing and vibrant fragrance that embodies the essence of a majestic garden is dedicated to Nir Guy’s grandmother’s garden. Which is very beautiful and really heartwarming. I also know that there is one more fragrance Nir Guy dedicated to one of his important women in life – his wife, and the fragrance is called Blyss. Also very juicy and beautiful fruity perfume. I can assume that all of his creations are made with natural ingredients and is handcrafted in small batches to ensure quality and attention to detail, which is so valuable!

BY KILIAN Can’t Stop Loving You is the fragrance I would love to try. It definitely sounds like my cup of tea: an endearing and sweet fragrance with orange blossom and honey, grounded by a mossy base and hints of vanilla and I love that it captures the essence of love in different forms. Sounds seductive!

Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste seems like an elegant fragrance according to Steven`s impressions, a classic and vintage-inspired scent with a photorealistic jasmine note which I adore, complemented by orange blossom which is also one of my favorite components, rose, violet, cedarwood, and musk. And I like that it is a tribute to the fragrant gardens of Grasse. True elegant classics.

And my all time love is of course Parfums de Marly`s Delina, which I won`t be able to try to win since I don`t live in the US. I love it for its refreshing and indulgent rose vibe with tart lychee, tangy rhubarb, and creamy woods for a modern twist mentioned in Michelyn`s review. And it is so curious that it was named after a French racehorse from the 18th century, which reflects the brand’s focus on the equestrian lifestyle and French heritage.

Recently, my mother, who is indifferent to perfumery, for the first time showed interest in the fragrance that I will give her. It is Rose Goldea Blossom Delight by Bvlgari. I have never tried it, but I believe it is wonderful as it contains rose and lily of the valley it it.

Of course I follow @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram and my nickname there is cousinlebleu.

I would love to have all these fragrances in my collection, as they all seem beautiful, but I would choose Melt My Heart by Strangelove NYC.
(or Etoile Céleste which also sounds absolutely different and divine!)

    I live in Germany.

I am intrigued by melt my heart by Strangelove. I follow @Cafleurebofficial my instagram login is amnaaziz5296@gmail.com. A beautiful and descriptive review by both Steven and Michelyn. Thanks a million from the UK

  • joshuabrian says:

I love the passion from Steven and you, Michelyn. The sincerity is loud and clear and I love it. Moms are so important. I’m so lucky to have mine. I would choose Delina or Meltmyheart. All sound incredible though. Thanks so much for the opportunity. From USA.

  • Love the video! Would love to win a bottle of thr Etoile Celeste and or the delicate! Very beautiful fragrances, especially since she loves floral scents!

  • From the written portion I learned meltmyheart could be worn well by men. From the video I learned Delina is one of the most popular niche perfumes ever. For the draw I choose meltmyheart. US

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Steven description of delina as youthful is encouraging and michelyn giving one to her mother is adorable. I’d love to win melt my heart those though. I live in Indiana.

  • Taleofarose says:

Meltmyheart- another oudh perfume? Bring it in, I would love the opportunity to try it, if I am the lucky winner.

As always Steven is very matter of fact in his comments, while Michelyn takes us more on a romantic path.

    I live in EU/Portugal

  • I liked Michelyn’s description of
Etoile Celeste as a “scented prayer.” Steven mentioned Can’t Stop Loving You, by Alberto Morillas, which has orange blossom and honey notes. Sounds delicious. My Mom loved the scent of roses in perfumery. If lucky, I’d choose Etoile Celeste or L’Ima. mary_luvs_flwrs Mich USA

Happy Mother’s Day to all beautiful ladies on Cafleurebon , mothers, future mothers or/and maternal women ❤
As usual I’ll share my thoughts on the fragrances I know, or want to try starting with the way Steven showed them in his video
    5. Can’t Stop Loving You by By Kilian , composed by Alberto Morillas
The cousin of Love Don’t Shy is less sweeter, more mossy and slightly smoky , and musky , compared to the famous sibling.
    4. L’Ima by Perfumology, composed by Justin Federico with evaluator our great Ida Meister
Nir is such a great guy. I’ve been to Perfumology a couple of times , where I ordered total of 13 bottles now .Own Grange Blyss and Clutch – i really like all 3. If it was me , I’d swap L’Ima with Sudu Te , quality tea , mango and creamy sandalwood . The reason is the greenery mixture of mint , and tomato leaves do not work well for me.
“L’Ima: means Mom in Hebrew” thanks for the info.
    3. MeltmyHeart by Strangelove NYC , composed by Christophe Laudamiel
Since I own the Strangelove NYC sample set , i have to say MeltMyHeart to me by very far the best -Strangelove NYC fragrance. Chocolate, oud , lots of nutmeg and powderyness , slightly buttery too. If quite complex, and a changeling, it smells differently on different people. Unlike Michelyn, I don’t get blooming jasmine, or ginger.
    2. Etoile Celeste by Villa Des Parfums , composed by Nicole Derieux and Molinard
I’m not familiar with the brand . I like the noble cause of Nicole Derieux, and the classic DNA, but I’ll be honest, what I’m sensitive to non-clean jasmine , and Michelyn said is so scary to me
“sparkling jasmine that is so photorealistic you can smell the rain drops spattered on the petals drying in the sun”
    1. Delina by Parfums de Marly, composed by Quentin Bisch

“Delina is a perfume I just gifted my own mom, (who always told me “I do not like rose perfumes. Fortunately, unlike our readers and viewers, she doesn’t read notes!!)”
    🙂
Tart , sweet and cozy fruity-floral I can wear myself with pleasure.
My two choices are MeltmyHeart by Strangelove NYC , and Delina by Parfums de Marly
Mom wears Jo Malone fragrances for the most part, and Dior Poison, and Addict on special occasions , all gifted by me. Herfavorite fragrance is Dior Poison .
    Just followed @villa_des_parfums , all other profiles I already follow , @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

Delina, what a delicious fragance really powerful and captivating. I only smell it once and since that moment I’ve never forget what it is about. Great content by Redolessence thanks a lot.

  • My first choice hands down is Melt my Heart by Strangelove. Michelyn saying it’s one of her top Ouds is enough to sway me but also, I’ve heard Seven speak about melt my heart several times and “sensual gourmand with absinthe, chocolate, iris and Oud sounds incredible! I’m also a big fan of Laudamiel. My second choice, due to Steven’s description as a natural smelling floral of flowers from Grasse is Etoile Celeste. I Also loved hearing from Michelyn about how the owner has a non profit and gives back to her community.
Thank you for the lovely draw.
    I’m in US.

  • Gnossiennes says:

    Happy Mother’s Day!
Thanks for the recommendations. Steven’s video is detailed and informative as always. Also love Michelyn’s sharing. I am very interested in MeltMyHeart. Not only because I am a fan of Christophe Luadamiel, but also because of the high compliments from both Michelyn and Steven.
    Love from San Mateo, California.

  • johnmadison says:

Thank you for the wonderful reviews Steven and Michelyn!
As Steven states, our mothers should be celebrated all year around and the reviews of these perfumes paint a portrait of something my mother would love to wear.
I would love to gift any of these to my mom, and if I won I think Delina would suit her so well.
    Xx

  • Shibuichi2000 says:

I’d like to smell heavenly, so what a gift would Etoile Céleste be :). Congrats to Nicole Derieux for the good [not only the beautiful] she brings into the world.
I live in Europe, and well…I don’t think any of my 4 fur babies will gift me perfume :)))

  • My first choice hands down is Melt my Heart by Strangelove. • I enjoyed reading Michelyn’s introductions and Steven’s video reviews of these lovely perfumes. Michelyn mentioned that meltmyheart may be worn by men and is a great date fragrance, with a wink, and Steven also alluded to it being great for an intimate night out. And I love oud perfumes, so meltmyheart is on top of my list. Besides, Michelyn thought of Parfums de Marly Delina highly enough to give it to her mom, so Parfums de Marly Delina is also on top. We’re I to win this generous draw, I’d choose one of these two perfumes. I am a Redolessence subscriber. A perfume is a great gift for anyone, and especially to mothers on Mother’s Day. Thanks for your reviews and draws. From continental United States.

Great review by Michelyn and Steven. Mothers day and Michelyn quote moms never get a day off is just apt. If I am lucky enough to win would love Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • I love the Mother’s Day selection! And I appreciate how Michelyn draws a more general image about the fragrances, giving background info about the house and perfumer, and then the scent, while Steven tends to technically deconstruct the perfume, its notes and of course give his personal impressions about it.
I would love to win Etoile Celeste, I love florals the most and this blend of the most iconic flowers sounds amazing! I would make sure to share it with my mom, who loves her florals too (just gifted her Idole by Lancome – mainstream yes, but it’s her signature and she was running out…)
Following you on insta as elmas_zeynep for a double count.
Thanks and Happy Mothers’ Day from the EU!

I love the presentation that Steven does of the bottles complete with the spray.
Don’t have children to shower my wife with gifts on mothers day, but the dogs and I do our best.
Like the date idea from Michelyn and would also choose her choice of Melt My Heart.
    Oklahoma, USA

  • Very detailed introductions to these fragrances by Michelyn with an incredible video of the dry down by Steven. I see some familiar fragrance houses like strangelove NYC, Killian, and parfums de marly. I’ve luckily had the opportunity to smell a sample of PdM Delina from a testing strip when one of my friends went to the Galleria in Houston and brought back a strip, and I have to say, It definitely deserves a spot in the top 5 fragrances. It has an incredible silage while not being overpowering in it’s notes, which Steven describing perfectly. If I won, I would pick either Parfums De Marly Delina, or meltmyheart. From TX, USA.

  • I’d like to thank Michelyn for the lovely Mother’s Day wishes. Please all keep the old bonds characterized by deep affection, respect and healthy attachments in our hearts towards your mother , and maternal women in your life.

Great reviews, thank you for introducing me to some new perfumes I’m not familiar with yet.
Meltmyheart sounds really amazing for spring and summer with it’s warm notes.
Can’t Stop Loving You invites me with it’s warm notes of honey and vanilla.
And of course Dalina is here – no wonder as it is one of the best feminine perfumes.
    I’d choose Etoile Céleste.
    Hugs from Croatia, EU.

  • My mother is one of very few people in the world who understand my perfume obsession and I love to give her perfume. From Steven and Michelyn’s reviews I think she would love Etoile Céleste. We are in the UK

  • I don’t gift my mum with perfume as she thinks they are extremely personal so she won’t stand a perfume she doesn’t know, it would be a hard guess to find something she likes.

If I had to choose (and I have) I’d say meltmyheart it’s the most intriguing one: starchy, smooth, velvety, gourmand, dark, mysterious, and romantic sounds just right. It has it all. I love oud fragrances and sandalwood is one of my favorite notes, so I’d really like to try it. But as always the reviews on this site make me want to buy everything! Thanks! I’m writing from Italy, EU

  • I love this list of cozy perfumes! Meltmyheart sounds most intriguing – I like how Michelyn describes the oud tempering the sweeter elements and Steven described it as smooth, velvety and romantic. Delina also sounds great – Michelyn’s description of it as a chilled glass of rosé makes it sound perfect for spring, and Steven’s description of the lychee note makes it sound divine. My mom only wears Shalimar and not that often so I don’t generally gift her perfume, but maybe I should try to get her to branch out. If I am lucky enough to win, I would choose either Meltmyheart or Delina. I follow you on instagram @ra7chel and I live in MN, USA.

  • Trinity33 says:

Excellent choices for Mother’s day. There are some great recommendations which focus on a feminine floral yet comforting feel. It’s like walking through a spring garden holding Mom’s hand. Great detailed review for Steven, as always. I would love to win either PdM Delina, Strangelove meltmyheart or Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste. MD, USA

  • Just awesome stellar reviews by Steven of these top ((5))) Great Mother’s Day Perfumes of 2023. I always enjoy Steven’s expert ability to detail fragrance’s notes and scent profiles. Michelyn reviews are of course well written and also describes the beauty and design of these fragrances. I always gifted flowers and not perfumes on Mother’s Day.
I would love to win for special Lady in my life.
    1. Parfums de Marly Delina 2. Eau de Parfum of Etoile Céleste 3. Perfumology L’Ima 4. Strangelove Meltmyheart

I just want to say that as a long time reader that the combination of the video and Michelyn’s terrific writing really sets these collaborations apart. Her descriptions really are something especially Delina(Quentin Bisch’s quote how amazing)and understanding Nicole Derieu and all she does immediately has me craving the dewy floral.Steven is great too so enthusiastic.
Those are the one I would like

Personally I don’t need a special day to show love and appreciation to my girlfriend, mother , grandma, and all females I care about .
In my opinion both Valentine’s Day , and Mother’s Day are a bit forced.
Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart (Christophe Laudamiel) is special really complex scent, going through a lot of phases. Well-balanced gourmand for grown-ups
Perfumology L’Ima is delicately balanced fresh and delightful green , and fresh fragrance .
BY KILIAN Can’t Stop Loving dressed up fragrance with honey ,and orange blossom
Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste (Nicole Derieux and Molinard)
Classy rose , and owner with grand purpose
Parfums de Marly Delina is happy and cheerful moderately sweet floral .
Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart or Parfums de Marly Delina would be great
Tom Ford Black Orchid is my mom’s new favorite fragrance . The latest two i also i gifted her are again by Tom Ford – Noir Pour Femme , and Jasmine Rouge

Both Muchelyn and Steven’s reviews brought me back to my first Mother’s Day without my mom. I took my own young boys to the local diner for pancakes; were waited by the cashier too be seated. I looked out and saw a sea of silver hair – mothers eating with their adult children, all wearing white and red carnations gifted by the diner. I was overwhelmed with loss as we turned around to leave and have pancakes at home. I’m thrilled but meltmyheart; my mother works have been a Deluna. I live in NY.

  • I agree that Mother’s Day should be a global holiday. 🙂 Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart is a beautiful fragrance. I love this choice for Mother’s Day and it would make a stunning gift for mom. The orris is so beautiful in MeltMyHeart and I agree with Michelyn that it makes a great date fragrance. Perfumology L’Ima also sounds like a great choice for Mother’s Day. I think it would also make a great gift for a mother who loves to garden, as Steven points out it’s a brighter option. The peppermint and lemon verbena sound so refreshing. I haven’t smelled Kilian Can’t Stop Loving You, but it’s on my list of fragrances to test. I love orange blossom so I am sure I will enjoy it. I love how Steven mentioned that it’s sensual yet professional and chic. Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste sounds particularly beautiful and I love that proceeds from every sale of Villa Des Parfums go to support a nonprofit. I’m glad Steven mentioned that Etoile Celeste is natural and organic smelling. Parfums de Marly Delina is so popular, but it is a very pretty fragrance. I love that Michelyn gifted her mom a bottle of Delina even though she didn’t like rose fragrances. Delina is hard not to like and it does make a great gift.

Thank you Michelyn and Steven for your reviews, and thank you to all four fragrance houses for their generous giveaways. I would love the opportunity to win Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart (first choice) or Villa des Parfums Etoile Celeste (second choice). I do like to gift my mom with perfume as she loves it, too. I am located in the USA. I also follow ÇaFleureBon on Instagram and my IG name is scented_savannah.

  • Steven has a way of reviewing fragrance that makes me want to try every. single. one. My budget can’t take it! And the quip about Michelyn’s mother and her disinterest in reading fragrance notes was so sweet. My mom is allergic to most fragrances, but my grandma loves them and I would love to give her one of these as a belated Mother’s Day gift!
Should I win, my choices are in this order:
    Etoile Celeste
    Delina
    Meltmyheart
    L’Ima

    Indiana, USA
I do follow on instagram, @annalynhardy
Thanks for this incredibly generous draw.

  • What an amazing giveaway and amazing job made by both Steven and Michelyn!
I usually give my mom perfumes on her birthday and on Christmas, since she is also a fragrance lover. I loved the list because the perfumes are just amazing and they surely are great for any mom to feel even more powerful.
I would love to win Perfumology L’Ima or Parfums de Marly Delina since they surely suit great for my mom.

Steven and Michelyn have put together an amazing choice of fragrances that I find appropriate for the mother of my children…my beautiful wife. Several we already own:
L’Ima: she is wearing this one this evening, as I’m writing this message. Perfumology’s line is such a quality fragrance line. We own all but Clutch…which is soon to complete our collection from this house.
Delina: One of my wife’s all-time favorite fragrance collections. Considering we own a large collection, this speaks very highly of this masterpiece.
The others presented here we do not own:
Can’t Stop Loving You: Kilian meets Alberto Morillas? Enough said.
Étoile Céleste: This is the only one on the list that I am not familiar with. However, the notes sound as if they would be very alluring for my wife (and me, of course :))
MeltMyHeart: Oh my goodness! This fragrance seems to have it all…and it has me falling in love with the notes. Hypnotic and stunning come to mind. Should I be chosen as a winner for this giveaway, this would have to be my choice to give to my beautiful bride and mother our our children.

  • This is a wonderful Mother’s Day tribute to all the moms out there. Here’s to you! Thanks for the fitting introduction, Michelyn. Also, I appreciate that Steven pointed out that these are wonderful, sentimental, poignant perfumes, which suit the occasion perfectly.

My parents spend a lot of time in the garden, so I particularly enjoyed Michelyn and Ida’s selection of Perfumology L’Ima. Tomato leaf is an underutilized and exceptional note. (Sadly, they don’t wear perfume, so I haven’t gifted my mom a fragrance in years). Also, Nicole Derieux’s Parfums de Vie work is also very impressive; Etoile Celeste’s rainy-day aspects are very appealing.

I’m in the midwest, USA. I follow cafleurebonoffical on Instagram—I’m @mmerline. If I were to win the draw, I’d choose Perfumology L’Ima or Strangelove meltmyheart. Thanks!

I love all the picks Steven shared in his video, and his descriptions of each of them! Michelyn’s review further helped me think of the fragrances I think would be perfect for the maternal figure in my life. I think she would appreciate the rose note in Parfums de Marly Delina or the ginger/ cocoa notes in Strangelove meltmyheart, so those are the ones I would love to win!

I grew up in a big family of fragrance lovers, and collectors. No one was ever directly involved in selling, making or distribution, still my Mom ,Dad ,Grandma,Grandpa,Uncle…and so on, all of them always had at least 20-30 bottles of different fragrances, my mom has around 60 ! Until now , each and every family gathering is heavily drenched in perfume.
Since the topic is Mothers Day perfume, I’ll say Grandma is Chanel girl all over, I gifted her a new bottle of Chanel Coromandel for Christmas. My Mom likes loud boozy, sweet, lots of patchouli fragrances , By Kilian Single Malt is her favorite one. Last week gifted her with a bottle of the infamous By Kilian Angel’s Share .
    a) Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart – bold, but not harsh unapologetic fragrance with natural oud and chocolate , buttery iris , and as a whole joyful experience
    b) Perfumology L’Ima-intimate and savory , garden inspired fragrance.Happy owner of Grange . and i also know Clutch well – i bought a sample , when i ordered my bottle of Grange
    c) BY KILIAN Can’t Stop Loving You
I don’t know the fragrance, the brand is loved in the family, especially my Mom
    d) Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste – vintage floral bouquet
    e) Parfums de Marly Delina- already established as modern day classic
“Like a glass of chilled rosé”
Well, well I guess other than my liquor lover soulmate Olya, Michelyn is also into such…pleasures 😉
I’d love to win one of Parfums de Marly Delina, or Strangelove NYC Meltmyheart
Inspired by Michelyn comparison, I’ll treat myself with Miraval Rosé , cheers and thank you for the opportunity

Many great recommendations covered by Steven and Michelyn. meltmyheart by Strangelove would be my choice number 1 for my mother – you can’t go wrong with Mr. Laudamiel. Greetings from Riga, Latvia.

  • I appreciate Steven and Michelyn’s reviews – they described a very nice assortment which included scents I was unfamiliar with or had not thought about in terms of being a suitable mother’s day theme. I enjoyed the background on the fragrances that Michelyn provided with her recommendations especially.
I would be interested in Delina, I used to have a sample a couple of years ago and used it fondly.
    Thank you, from Canada

I do consider myself lucky for having such a great, and supportive females in my life , love them all , my mom , grandma, close friends, girlfriend , I love them all.
☆ Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart to me smells like Chocolate Butter Cake with orange peel jam ,and iris.
“Meltmyheart could easily be worn by men and makes a great date fragrance”
I don’t go to dates anymore, but MeltMyHeart is 100% unisex.
    ☆Perfumology L’Ima
Perfumology is one of the best places to buy fragrances in the States. I like the cardboard type of material instead of boxes for their own fragrances, so they can keep the price low. I own Grange , L’Ima is more green and vegetal
☆Can’t Stop Loving You from By Kilian
Mellifluous honey ? I need to try Can’t Stop Loving You as soon as possible
    ☆Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste
    Floral garden in the Spring
☆Parfums de Marly Delina smells a bit like Lychee Rose Tarts , with candied Rhubarb on top.
Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart and Parfums de Marly Delina are my two picks
Just like me , my mom is mostly into gourmands, the two she likes the most are Oajan Parfums de Marly , and Mancera Choco Violet . Gallagher Fragrances Amongst Waves Is in transition, my 23′ Mother’s Day gift.
Appreciate Michelyn and Steven reviews, and the giveaway campaign

  • agree with Michelyn, Mother’s day should be celebrated all around the world! Love reading Michelyn’s reviews and the stories behind the creators of the fragrance. Her comparison of Delina as a chilled rose’ as pure refreshment. Steven’s reviews always informative and thorough. Love his description of Etoile Celeste as a natural, lively, feminine floral bouquet. First choice would be PDM Delina and 2nd Etoile Celeste. Thank you for this lovely giveaway. I enjoy Perfumology’s “L’Ima”. It’s one of my favorite fragrances to wear in the humidity in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the U.S. Steven’s review reminded me that I’d love to try a fragrance from Strangelove NYC, so I hope to win “meltmyheart”. I wouldn’t mind having a backup bottle of “L’Ima”, so that would be my second choice. I found Michelyn’s reviews to be insightful and helpful, and she caused me to be very intrigued to try “meltmyheart”, e.g. when she said “Meltmyheart is one of my top oud based perfumes of all time”. I follow @cafleurebonofficial on Instagram (@regismonkton). I live in the U.S.A.

Lovely video and review. In my opinion, this is an excellent selection of Mother’s Day fragrances. I currently own Delina Exclusif, and I love it. I’m a rose fragrance lover, although, in Delina’s case, the rose is not that predominant to me; I barely smelled it. In fact, I’m totally in love with the top notes of Litchi, Rhubarb, Bergamot, and Nutmeg; those opening notes do it to me.
I’d love to win Parfums De Marly Delina or NYC Strangelove’s Melt My Heart. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this draw, commenting from Orlando, Florida, USA.

  • Meltmyheart sounds like it would do just that as I am a single mom of three and don’t have the funds for such an extravagant perfume. And I would wear it in a date too. Also Delina and L’Ima

Thanks for the great review Steven and writeups Michelyn and for carving out this list of 5 fragrances.

I think my favorite out of all of these is strangelove NYC melt my heart. I really like Laudmiel’s work. I love the use of absinth, cholocalate, orris and woods, with that lipsticky iris that probably would be similar to the lipsticks my mother wore in the 90s.

“Mother’s Day in the USA is Sunday May 14th this year (but is celebrated on Sundays in March and June in other countries around the world).”

Not necessarily, in Spain Mother’s Day is celebrated on the first Sunday of May , 7th of May is current year celebration date.

    Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart

“Meltmyheart could easily be worn by men and makes a great date fragrance”

Really fun unexpected date review ☺
Strangelove NYC is artistic niche brand that stands out with really limited edition products. I respect such approach.Meltmyheart is sophisticated lovers fragrance.

    Perfumology L’Ima
Ida Meister review made me try , and buy Perfumology Sudu Te, L’Ima sounds good tooCan’t Stop Loving You from By Kilian

Villa Des Parfums Etoile Celeste i think it will smell like our garden in the Spring.

    Parfums de Marly Delina
I approach work in a similar manner as Quentin Bisch , Dina cozy fruity fragrance with rose i really like.

Being a vain man compliments are really important to me. Parfums de Marly with Delina , and Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart for sure will get me unsolicited compliments , smelling amazing
My Mother really likes Xerjoff Lira , I bought her a new bottle (3th) back in February
    Exciting giveaway, USA

I live in Florida, and my instagram is @castlemicro. I’m not able to gift perfume to my mom, but I agree it can be a wonderful reminder of care and good memories. I enjoyed hearing Steve and Michelyn’s thoughts on Mother’s Day scents — I hope Michelyn’s mom is enjoying Delina! If selected, I’d love to receive Strangelove NYC’s meltmyheart (chocolate and iris sound like a gorgeous combination) and/or Parfums de Marly’s Delina (iconic for a reason)!

Greetings everyone , and cheers to all Mother’s , and Maternal Women on Cafleurebon

Every person has a story to tell, on Mother’s Day some are sad, some happy , and full of love and appreciation. I’m glad I do have great relationships with my Mom , Aunt and cousin. For the record in France Mother’s Day is celebrated on a different day every year, since it overlaps with Pentecost often.
At Jovoy os where I smelled Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart, it is is fabulous, like getting into upscale Boulangerie, with iris and small amount of Cuban Rum. I’m not skipping such desserts
Perfumology fragrances are not available outside of US unfortunately
Can’t Stop Loving You By Kilian sounds really good
Parfums de Marly Delina is known by many worldwide, pleasing fragrance with good longevity.
    MeltMyHeart I’d enjoy the most

Wonderful article! i thought Michelyn’s written review of Perfumology L’Ima was so captivating – learning that Nir Guy conceived of it in search of a perfume to honor his mother Tali’s love for her own mother’s garden was so interesting to me. A spicy citrus and floral garden that represents mothers twice over? What could be better for mothers day?!

I loved how Steven’s video review describes Meltmyheart as an oudy yet starchy gourmand fragrance. I rarely fall in love with gourmand fragrances, but Steven’s description of how the gourmand aspect of this fragrance comes off as more starchy and chocolatey rather than sweet, syrupy, or cloying makes me very interested in trying it!

If I were to win, my 1st choice would be Parfums de Marly Delina, my 2nd choice would be Strangelove Meltmyheart, my 3nd choice would be Villa des Parfums Etoile Céleste, and my 4th choice would be Perfumology L’Ima. I am following your new Instagram page @cafleurebonoffical, my Insta name is momo.liu.121 and I live in the US.
