“I picked this sprig of heather

The autumn is dead remember it

We will not see each other again on earth

And remember that I am waiting for you.”- Guillaume Apollinaire

Etat Libre D’Orange Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is a perfume that perfectly captures the essence of the iconic Parisian bridge, as immortalized in the poem of the same name by Guillaume Apollinaire. With its unique blend of mineral and ozonic notes, combined with a subtly sweet base, this fragrance is an absolutely stunning take on the emotionality of perfumery.

The poem “Sous le Pont Mirabeau” speaks of the fleeting nature of time and love, as symbolised by the river flowing beneath the bridge. Etat Libre D’Orange Sous Le Pont Mirabeau embodies this same sense of transience and impermanence, with its cool and refreshing blend of mineral and ozonic notes. From the first spritz, you are transported to the banks of the Seine, with the scent of the river and the city mingling together in a heady mix.

Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is a collaboration between Etat Libre D’Orange creative director and founder Etienne de Swardt and perfumer Mathieu Nardin of Mane. It opens with a burst of fresh, bracing ozone, reminiscent of the crisp air that one might encounter on a stroll along the river via bergamot, Italy HE, Sustainable pink pepper pure JE and a fig accord. This is followed by a mineral note that evokes the stony banks of the Seine, where the river meets the city and is created with a water accord, ozonic accord and violet. The mineral note is not overpowering, but rather provides a subtle foundation upon which the rest of the fragrance is built.

As the fragrance settles on the skin, a delicate sweetness emerges, reminiscent of the sugared almonds and other treats that one might find for sale along the banks of the river. The combination of cedarwood – Virginia Upcycled, sandalwood HE and Orcanox Upcycled adds a subtle touch. This sweetness is not cloying or overwhelming, but rather provides a gentle counterpoint to the mineral and ozonic notes that dominate the scent.

Throughout its development, Sous Le Pont Mirabeau remains true to its inspiration, evoking the ebb and flow of the river and the passage of time. Like the poem that inspired it, this fragrance speaks to the fleeting nature of love and the impermanence of all things.

Etat Libre D’Orange Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is a truly exceptional fragrance, one that captures the essence of Paris in all its beauty and complexity. With its mineral and ozonic facets, combined with a slightly sugared base, this fragrance is a must-try for anyone who appreciates the art of scent.

Notes: bergamot Italy HE, Sustainable pink pepper pure JE and a fig accord, water accord, ozonic accord, violet, cedarwood, Virginia Upcycled, sandalwood HE and Orcanox© Upcycled.

  • From Etienne de Swardt’s creative director article
“The storytelling at the beginning is more attractive than the perfume. To get a good perfume, you need a range of emotions, outside of the usual expectations.” Here here. A fragrance’s story means alot to me, especially when it becomes my own story. Karl, what a stunning review. I can imagine myself by the Seine river, the scent of the city, the water and the soft sweetness. There’s a fig accord that is a surprise in a ozonic mineralic perfume. My favorite EDLO is a tie: Like This and Frustration.
I live in the EU but have never been to Paris. Hoping Sous le Pont Mirabeau takes me there.

  • Giorgia295 says:

I love this direction of Eldo such as Ghost in shell, I like the idea of an acquatic fragrance which becames more sugary on the skin. This is the kind of scent I love.
This would be a perfect match in my collection.
    Greetings from Milan Italy

  • starsnek says:

I’ve loved lots of EldO frags. Always fascinating to see what scent components will be in their latest offerings. My favorite is wither Like This or Archives 69. So good! Hello from the USA!

  • johnmadison says:

Etat Libre D’Orange Sous Le Pont Mirabeau sounds absolutely lovely. I love the illustration that my mind creates when reading this review. Walking along the Seine in Paris catching the scent of the breeze wafted from the river bathed in ozonic facets…Then meeting the stone path my feet walk along with its mineral facets…Then a visit to the bakery accompanied by its sugared almond dry down. This fragrance sounds wonderful.
My personal favorite from Etat Libre D’Orange is You or Someone Like You, a beautiful fresh perfume showcasing mint, one that I love to wear this time of year.
    Thank you for the review!

I love aquatic fragrances, so the idea of a fragrance that evokes a stroll along the Seine sounds like a wonderful experience, both artistically and as a nice fragrance to wear in the spring and summer. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Just finished reading this article and was immediately drawn in by the references to France and the River Seine. As someone who loves Paris and its unique scents, I found myself imagining the fragrance’s aroma as I read through the author’s description.
I appreciated Etienne’s Creative Director previous article where they described ELDO as ‘Unexpected and not suspected’, which seems to hold true for Sous Le Pont Mirabeau with its sophisticated and intriguing scent.
I am eager to test out Sous Le Pont Mirabeau for myself and explore its various notes and layers.
    Regards from UK.

  • Oh wow, this sounds exciting. ELDO is such an interesting house and when they hit, they really hit. Judging from Karl’s praise, Sous Le Pont Mirabeau seems to be a real stunner. I love ozonic fragrances. My fave from ELDO is Hermann, a peppery, ozonic, fresh fragrance. To see another ozonic offering, but this ime blended with fig, violet, and mineralic notes seems like a summer dream. I would love to add it to my collection. I live in NC, USA.

  • So, for as long as this perfume house has been around, I have never owned nor tested out any of their fragrances. But I’ve always been so interested in so many of their scents. Sous Le Pont Mirabeau has me incredibly intrigued. The soft, earthy note of fig and the soft, whispy, powdery note of violet together sound like an incredible combination. I love both of those notes but I have never had them both be in one fragrance. It sounds magnificent!

    I live in the USA.

  • joshuabrian says:

I’ve never tried the house, but have always wanted to. Fig and sandalwood? Signed me up! Thanks so much for the opportunity. From USA.

  • I will start off with a quote from the linked essay – “At the beginning I wasn’t a creator of niche perfume brands, I was the nasty bastard giving briefs to perfumers at LVMH where I was an executive with Parfums Givenchy men’s perfumes.” Karl’s review describes beautifully how Sous Le Pont Mirabeau captures the beauty of Paris via its notes. Unfortunately, I have not tried anything by this brand, yet. Thanks for the review and draw. From continental United States.

  • The absolutely beautiful, unique and intriguing notes of this fragrance spark my interest. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU. You Or Someone Like You would probably be my favourite fragrance from the house. „Actually, in Greek Lucifer means bringing light to human beings”. I found this quote very intriguing, languages can sometimes be very interesting.

  • Maryjean says:

I love the story behind the Fragrance. This sounds lovely for Spring or Summer. The poem “Sous le Pont Mirabeau” is very beautiful. Thank you for this Chance USA

  • moisesst says:

I love the idea of a fragrance inspired by a walk down the Seine river. Catching the breeze on a Spring day is especially nice. It makes me feel so lucky to be born in a time where I can travel to beautiful cities such as Paris. My favorite ELDO fragrance is Rien Intense incense. It is SOOO good and so strong. I like to overspray it when I’m chilling at home. I live in Illinois, USA.

  • RonaldProkes17 says:

I really love how ELDO are such a mutli-faceted and creative house. It’s their work that got me into niche perfumery and I’ve been a goner ever since.
I love how Karl’s review highlighted how the perfume pays homage to Paris as a city. I love Paris and it is very close to my heart for many reasons. Every time I visit it feels like a homecoming. I love the sugared almond notes that this perfume utilises – especially when connected to the mineral and ozonic facets.

  • petergigov says:

“Being more star struck than scent struck I somehow managed to have coffee with Rossy. Rossy de Palma Eau de Protection, the blood tinged rose perfume created by Antoine Lie and Antoine Maisondieu, was my signature scent for a year (Chandler Burr wore it too) and proof that a celebuscent could be unique, strangely beautiful and wearable.”

The quote from Etienne De Swardt essay shows his level of creativity, and how a brand can create very different rose fragrances, both smelling amazing.
I’m Dune Saga fanboy, I’ve read all 23 novels, a d right after the review on Cafleurebon two or it was three years ago, I just had to check Spice Must Flow . Spicy roses, with cinnamon and non gourmand sweetness , and with bombastic lasting power.
ELDO fragrances are different, unique but also quite unpredictable, I’ve smelled much of the Cafleurebon reviewed ELDO’s , and most of the time the Cafleurebon contributor wrote one thing, and I’m perceiving something else.
Remarkable People for example somehow reminds me of Haribo grapefruit gummy bears, and I was expecting something …. completely different.
Sous Le Pont Murabeu attracts me with its transition from ozonic start , to subtitle sweetness and the comfortable Paris connection.
Right now my favorite ELDO is Spice Must Flow, 10/10 fragrance i bought for the second time in December, I also own Bijou Romantic.
    Exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

I love the image of water rolling away under the bridge as inspiration for this fragrance. I also love that it’s not the stereotyped, touristy notion of Paris that is being evoked.

“I am not as hands on as some other Niche perfume creative directors. Most of the time, I give true freedom to the perfumers who create our fragrances.” – this is the key quote by Etienne de Swardt, which still affects all his creations. And Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is not an exception according to Karl`s review!

What sparks my interest based on Karl’s description is the fact that Sous Le Pont Mirabeau captures the essence of the iconic Parisian bridge and the emotional themes of the poem by Guillaume Apollinaire. It evokes the transience and impermanence of time and love through its unique blend of mineral and ozonic notes combined with a subtly sweet base, which is something unusual and new to me – the combination of something fresh and sweet at the same time.

And I especially like that the fragrance speaks to the fleeting nature of all things and celebrates the beauty and complexity of my beloved Paris. Its complexity and unique blend make it a must-try for anyone who appreciates the art of scent as Karl says and he is absolutely right here!

In 2012 essay Etienne said: “I try to pick up a theme that can provoke a chain reaction on people.” And he could make it with this new release, because, as he also mentioned: “If we want to sum up our sprit, it is sincerity, existentialism, and the French notion of philosophy”. And this always touches the hearts of people and evokes emotions, which is synonymous with life, movement and development. This is what I notice about Etat Libre D’Orange`s perfumery!

I am not as hands on as some other Niche perfume creative directors. Most of the time, I give true freedom to the perfumers who create our fragrances; because I believe that they understand the individual story I am trying to tell with each perfume. It’s based on the project. It’s the way they talk about the idea and the theme we pick up. For Jasmine et Cigarette, I asked Antoine Maisondieu about his vision of femininity. For him, it was jasmine twisted with tobacco. I asked if he could illustrate – he said, “Do you remember that film Blade Runner by Ridley Scott? We talked about the film and ideas, and then it was in his hands. I was struck by the freedom Etiennes creative allows his perfumers.Etat Libre D’Orange Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is a truly exceptional fragrance, one that captures the essence of Paris in all its beauty and complexity. Notes: bergamot Italy HE, Sustainable pink pepper pure JE and a fig accord, water accord, ozonic accord, violet, cedarwood, Virginia Upcycled, sandalwood HE and Orcanox© Upcycled. A beautiful description by Karl really intrigued by notes especially fig accord and pink pepper. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

a Creative Director it means being true to myself – authentic, shocking and sensual, even if it meant creating disruptive and unlikable perfumes from time to time. Sécrétions Magnifiques was the first in the ELDO line, maybe it is the most memorable, and still to this day evokes strong emotions. Blood and Semen in a perfume may disturb some people, but it told the story I wanted to tell, an animalic and oedipal story about olfactive and gustative sex.

If we want to sum up our sprit, it is sincerity, existentialism, and the French notion of philosophy. It means, if you want to stay alive, you have to create, and if you do not, you don’t exist. It means going against the grain. We are not just a fragrance brand; we are a true state of mind, of fun, of emotion. This quote sums up the philosophy of État Libre d’orange taking risks and creating and being brave. A wonderful description by Karl I am fascinated by the notes this sounds like a magical concoction. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Nice review Karl! Capturing the essence of Paris of Paris is not easy: lots of perfumers tried before and will keep doing it. Mr. De Swardt and Mr. Nardin ( quoting De Swardt that ” he says that he gives true freedom to the perfumers who create their fragrances; because he believe that they understand the individual story he is trying to tell with each perfume”) evoke a famous bridge over the Seine (a silent witness for many years) and with the letters of the poetry of Apollinaire, create a scent that flows all the romanticism the city of Paris holds in their river banks. Build around ozonic and mineral facets with a sweet base. The opening with an accord of bergamot, pink pepper and fig and the base of cedarwood, sandalwood and Orcanox with its woody musky and powdery tones. All to evoke the flow of the river and the passage of time and the loves we lost along our lives. My favorite will go to Une Amourette by Mme. Andrier, a very sexual perfume. I live in Spain, EU.

  • After only recently having been to Paris, and falling in love with it all over again, I’d love a perfume that could spirit me back there. My favourite ELDO is You or Someone Like You. I’m in Ireland, EU.

    Thanks for your review, Karl.
I am skeptical of ELdO’s recent creations. ELdO used to be an avant-garde house, but their portfolio change and some latest releases seem more and more commercial-oriented. The notes disclosed for Sous Le Pont Mirabeau also remind me of some other fragrances, such as Kenzo Homme EdT Intense. But since Karl says it is ‘exceptional’ (and it is ELdO, after all!) I will give it a try.

(P.S. Based on the numbers of comments, wow, ELdO is really popular. lol)

Karl Topham take on Sous Le Pont Mirabeau instantly made me think of making Tarte aux Figues aka French Fig Tarts with Custard of Frangipani , and later on eating some with bergamot juice, while nearby Seine … The good days of living in Paris, trying to fulfill my dreams of becoming a Pastry Chef , I miss the city.
Etat Libre d’Orange do have fragrances for every occasion, 500 Years for example , my favorite Etat Libre d’Orange smells like chocolate rose and Cardamom Tarts, with Rose Water.
My favorite quote from Etienne’s essay is:
“I wouldn’t be driven by money and focus groups. As a Creative Director it means being true to myself – authentic, shocking and sensual, even if it meant creating disruptive and unlikable perfumes from time to time.”

Being a small business owner myself, I own my bakery, and I can definitely relate to what Etienne de Swardt said . It’s always nice to know you have the freedom to push the boundaries to your own extent.

  • I found it interesting how the perfume captures the essence of the iconic Parisian bridge. Ozonic notes with sweet base sounds great. My favourite scents from the brand are Rien and Fat Electrician.
The creative directors says “I learned a lot from my years at LVMH and one important lesson is that you have to be true to the DNA of your brand.” I do agree with this statement. I can smell the ELDO DNA in most of their fragrances. It is very unique.

I was excited when I saw the created mineral note in Sous Le Pont Mirabeau composed of water accord, ozonic accord and violet. I love mineral notes in fragrances and it sounds like it’s used exceptionally well here as a of to the banks of the Seine. The fig, pink pepper and bergamot drive home the sunny European feel. Favorite ELdO is Jasmin et Cigarette. MD, USA.

  • I love the sugar nuances of the dry down stages. Sugared almonds and other items sold near a river sounds so small town like.

In the ages of living in a city I miss these experiences. Wish I could do those things again. Maybe a fragrance like this could bring me back to that.

  • I love scents that really evoke a place and an atmosphere, and Karl’s review of Sous Le Pont Mirabeau really highlights how the mineralic and ozonic notes add this quality to the scent. I love the originality of ELDO perfumes, and I think this quote from Etienne de Swardt really speaks to that: ” To get a good perfume, you need a range of emotions, outside of the usual expectations.” It’s hard to choose but my favorite ELDO perfume is probably Spice Must Flow. As for Sous le Pont Mirabeau, reading the notes, and still having butterflies from the last ELDO that won me over [hey, Ghost, I’m looking at you] , I can only assume it’s as beautiful and unforgettable as Paris.
My fav, so far, are Like This and The ghost in the shell, but I haven’t tested aaaaall of their fragrances, so there are still medals to be awarded :))

  • Thanks for the review Karl!

A new release from ELDO is always interesting. The always surprise me with their weird and wonderful releases and somehow they always work for me! Etienne said it very well that it is fun and maybe crosses some lines. I completely get this!

Sous Le Pont Mirabeau sounds like a wonderful light fresh summer fragrance that I would love to try. You had me at Fig, but I’m also a bit fan of Ozonic and Violet so this has gotten my full attention. This doesn’t sound very polarizing so it’s something I would love to wear to my daily meetings.

  • The imagery that this fragrance was beautifully shown through the notes. The idea of a fragrance made based off a real world inspiration is really an attention grabber for me, mostly because I use fragrances as a way to remember a setting or moment in my life, life visiting my grandparents and that nostalgic smell hitting you when you open the door. The thing in Sous Le Pont Mirabeau that sparked my interest was that each note as a connecting to the overall setting that inspired the fragrance, whether that be a sweetness, reminiscence of sweetened almonds as a snack, or the fresh and sweet opening. My favorite from ELDO was ghost in a shell, which was also previously featured on this site. The quote I found was, ” get a good perfume, you need a range of emotions, outside of the usual expectations.” – Etienne de Swardt. From TX, USA.

  • I discovered Etat Libre d’Orange on Cafleurebon , from a former contributor artistic reviews. First sampled “I am trash” because of Despina Veneti take on Cafleurebon , and bought it a soon after. Again she was the reason i found out my beloved , and favorite Experimentum Crucis , fragrance I can’t get enough of.
Ever since I found out the house, I’ve been a fan of Etienne de Swardt i,and his self-confidence.

At the beginning I wasn’t a creator of niche perfume brands, I was the nasty bastard giving briefs to perfumers at LVMH where I was an executive with Parfums Givenchy men’s perfumes.

Sous Le Pont Mirabeau I find comfortable and romantic . I wonder how the sweet figs smell in the banks of Seine area, relaxing if I have to guess.

  • An ozonic fig? It must be mine! Fig is my number one fragrance: i love it in every way: woody, green, gourmand. Everything that has fig in it I love it. And I love what Etienne de Swardt has done with ELDO, with continuous creations, such as Experimentum crucis, my absolute favorite, because as he wrote: “if you do not [create], you don’t exist”, because ELDO it’s not ust a fragrance brand, it is “a true state of mind, of fun, of emotion.”

  • Karl’s review that it’s ozonic/mineral but balanced with a light sweetness makes it sound like an easy wearing scent. Sounds interesting. My favorite ELDO is Fat Electrician. US-California here. Thanks.

  • Beautiful review by Karl of Etat Libre D’Orange. What sparks my interest of Etat Libre D’Orange is that it portrays Paris with its complexity of ozonic and mineral facets with sugared base. A fragrance that is a true work of Art.
My quote from Etienne’s creative essay is, “I was trying to be disruptive, which is my model: why not do a perfume for dogs?”

What sparked my interest of Karls review on Etat Libre D’Orange Sous Le Pont Mirabeau is learning about this momentous collaboration Etat Libre D’Orange creative director and founder Etienne de Swardt and perfumer Mathieu Nardin of Mane. I appreciate the art of a unique scent profile of Mineral and Ozonic/watery notes along with Fig as well as a powdery violet and an underlying sugared accent sounds truly divine. My favorite Etat Libre D’Orange fragrance is Like This. I am from the USA.

  • I still need to try most of the Etat Libre D’Orange catalog, including Sous Le Pont Mirabeau, which sounds like a poised aquatic. I love a good fig note and I’m curious how the fig accord in Sous Le Pont Mirabeau interacts withe mineral and ozone facets; the combination of aquatic notes with a “sugared” base strikes me as somewhat unusual. Would love to try this one—thanks for the review, Karl.

I’m in the midwest, USA. My favorite Etat Libre D’Orange fragrance is Fat Electrician.

Also, thanks for calling my attention to Etienne de Swardt’s essay. I enjoyed reading about his vision for Etat Libre D’Orange fragrances. I thought his comments about influences were an interesting surprise: “Comic books, music, cinema – I’m very much a kid from the 80s. My mother was a Greek, Latin and French teacher and my grandmother taught mythology and cinema. My brother is a cardiologist – he saves lives – my mother was a teacher with true knowledge of old texts, like my grandmother. Their influences are there too, but I am very superficiel (meaning of superficiel in French – it means trap and seduce at the same time).”

From Ramblas in Barcelona, to Japan (Ghost in Shell) , “Castañada” traditions , and now the stony banks of Seine , I like everything about the latest Etat Libre d’Orange fragrances.
Personally I like the freshness, ozonic accord with violet, and the slightly sweet undertones of Sous Le Pont Mirabeau , the perfect soothing fragrance .
I’m a fan of Experimentum Crucis and Remarkable People from Quentin Bisch , Mathieu Nardin I know for his work with other brands.
“ELDO may seem frivolous and inconsequential, but it’s really more than the surface. Unexpected and not suspected – at the end, by being extremely superficial, I can pick up and master the art of superficiality – like perfume which stays on skin.”
Etienne De Swardt is speaking like a true artist , and no doubt he is

I am curious about the water and ozone notes in Sous Le Pont Mirabeau. I love walking along the river Seine and can’t wait to try this fragrance, to be swept away to Paris. I read the essay from Etienne de Swartdt and was struck by this quote: “ If we want to sum up our spirit, it is sincerity, existentialism, and the French notion of philosophy. It means, if you want to stay alive, you have to create, and if you do not, you don’t exist. It means going against the grain.” I love ELDO fragrances because they definitely go against the grain. Wearing ELDO fragrances is wearing art.

I haven’t tried anything yet from E.L.D.O., but, for a while now, I’ve been intrigued to try some of their fragrance releases, e.g. “Rein Intense Incense”. I’m interested to try “Sous Le Pont Mirabeau” when Karl describes it as: “a truly exceptional fragrance, one that captures the essence of Paris in all its beauty and complexity.” I live in the U.S.A.

  • I’m intrigued by the aquatic aspect of Sous Le Pont Mirabeau. My husband bought us a jon boat for our anniversary last year and we are excited to get it back on the water this spring and summer, now that things are warming up! This would be my first ELDO fragrance — crazy, I know 🙂

    Thanks for the fun review!

I really like the ethos that Etat D’Libre takes up. They have such crazy briefs and interesting notes to boot. One could say that this fragrance is an aquatic, but with the addition of minerality and the fig note, it really takes us all over the bridge, so to say.

I found these two lines from the essay hilarious and totally doing the ethos of the brand justice –
    1. ” At the beginning I wasn’t a creator of niche perfume brands, I was the nasty bastard giving briefs to perfumers at LVMH where I was an executive with Parfums Givenchy men’s perfumes. It was a good learning experience and it gave me marketing and an insiders knowledge of the industry.”

    2. ” As a Creative Director it means being true to myself – authentic, shocking and sensual, even if it meant creating disruptive and unlikable perfumes from time to time. Sécrétions Magnifiques was the first in the ELDO line, maybe it is the most memorable, and still to this day evokes strong emotions. Blood and Semen in a perfume may disturb some people, but it told the story I wanted to tell, an animalic and oedipal story about olfactive and gustative sex.”

Having a true appreciation for the “art of scent”, Karl’s review brought this creation into my olfactive imagination. Very descriptive. A complex and unique fragrance that I look forward to getting my nose on. One of my favorites from this house is “You or Someone Like You (YOSLY). A quality house for sure.

    Greetings everyone
Mirabeau ? So French, so Parisian romantic fragrance made from a memory of a old love story.
When you visit the boutique on 69 Rue des Archives , you’re greeted with Black and white design, and both Christian and African statues
I’ve smelled Sous Le Pont Mirabeau since the fragrance is available in France, and Mr Topham review is on point, the fresh and ozonic start, to sweet woody base. I think the fragrance is sweeter and more woody in my , and not so much on Mr Topham. The fig and vanilla makes me think of some fancy fig dessert you can buy from high end Parisian Boulangerie.
I think Frustration is the best Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance

_If we want to sum up our sprit, it is sincerity, existentialism, and the French notion of philosophy. It means, if you want to stay alive, you have to create, and if you do not, you don’t exist-

Etat Libre d’Orange are famous with quirky fragrances, I do believe Divin’Enfant is no exception even though it’s more cozy and sentimental.
I like the notes, the transition from watery bergamot, to almonds, fig and vanilla, like Karl said French “transience and impermanence” made into perfume.
I do have one Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance in my collection. Tilda Swinton Like This . Now the name is changed to just Like This , but don’t be afraid, it’s not reformulated if someone wonders.
No wonder Etienne de Swardt spoke of Tilda Swinton Like This:

“Managing Editor Mark Behnke in his review of Tilda Swinton Like This May 20, 2010 wrote: “Whatever your opinion of the line of fragrances produced by Etat Libre D’Orange, boring is not one of the adjectives one hears used often in describing them.”
    And also again
“This is what happened with Like This Tilda Swinton – a duet between Tilda and Mathilde Bijouai. I lit the match, and they sniffed and created by themselves. I said, do it the way you feel it. It was truly sincere and emotional — that’s what I call the freedom and the existentialism of Etat Libre D’Orange.”

Tilda Swinton Like This is my favorite for sentimental reasons, it reminds me of grandma, and her garden ,and pumpkin pie ❤

This one might be a winner – mineral and ozonic facets, combined with a slightly sugared base. I’ve been on a mineral kick as of late and this might be another hit in my books. Another ELDO (my favourite as of now), Une Amourette, should land in my mailbox any day now. Fingers crossed and greetings from Riga, Latvia.
