Electimuss London Astrum Nova Review (David Chieze) 2025 + bridging oud and mango giveaway

Astrum Nova by Electimuss

Electimuss London Astrum Nova via the brand

Before you watch Redolessence review of Electimuss Astrum Nova, I asked LUZI Senior Perfumer David Chieze (he was co-perfumer for KAJAL Faris and the nose for M.Micallef Ô Féminin) about his creative process: “There is mango in the top note which is an accord. There are also citrus notes to give some freshness. Ambrette seed with its fruity, musky and freshness links oud and mango together. In the heart, osmanthus (fruity and animalic) links the oud and mango. The blackcurrant plays the same role. In the bottom note, Ambertonic (a musky woody spicy molecule) continues building the bridge between oud and mango. Orris, tonka and vanilla softens the animalic facets of oud which I didn’t want to express in this fragrance.” –Michelyn Camen, Editor in Chief

Top: Mango, Bergamot, Mandarin; Heart Notes: Blackcurrant, Osmanthus, Orris; Base Notes: Oud, Ambertonic, Vanilla, Tonka, Oakmoss, Musk

  • Davin mentioned the osmanthus note (fruity and animalic) that links the oud and mango. A tropical oud fragrance…yes please. Steven’s nose picks up a “darker mango” and that description sounds interesting. I’m a fan of Electimus London. One of my faves is Trajan. MI USA

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

Steven, had me at the Strongest Mango fragrance, and David had me with the description of the note breakdown. Mango, Oud and Blackcurrant, Vanilla, and Tonka….yes I would love to add this one to my collection. Thank you for the opportunity. I live in Orlando Florida,USA

  • I own Imperium and Trajan from Electimuss. I love those fragrances so much. Steven’s channel on YouTube is a channel I love to watch and get all the new fragrances from. I hope you win Astrum Nova because Mango and Vanilla are my favorite notes in fragrances.

  • I really enjoyed how David Chieze broke down the role of each note in the fragrance, describing how it contributes to the finished scent, and as always, Steven’s reviews are a pleasure to watch with a likewise detailed explanation of how Astrum Nova smells and even how it feels to wear the fragrance. I would absolutely love to own this one!

  • Dumitru Preda says:

Love the note of Mango in perfumes, seeing Redolessence review this is definitely my cup of tea style of perfume , I really love to win a bottle or at least have the chance of smelling it from a sample .
    Much appreciated

  • ms_katie_baby says:

Steven does this so effortlessly, always inspiring to watch him in action.
And I really appreciate how the David used mango as the star and built a bridge between the fruity brightness and the depth of oud and vanilla. Just incredible!

  • I thought David Chieze’s introduction of Electimuss London Astrum Nova was really engaging. He did a great job highlighting its brightness and complexity. Steven’s video added another layer by breaking down the nuances in a way that felt very approachable and detailed. I’m definitely familiar with Electimuss London, and my personal favorite from the house is Persephone’s Patchouli. It’s such a rich, elegant take on patchouli that really stands out.

    From the USA

  • Sounds amazing! Never smelled a fragrance with a mango note. Can’t wait to check it out!

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I liked how David Chieze talked about how the different notes in this fragrance work together, especially ambrette seed and mango. I enjoyed Steven’s thoughts on this one, especially how this isn’t so much about our, but mostly about mango. I live in Maryland USA and would love to win a bottle of this fragrance.

  • Ramses Perez says:

I love that David Chieze explained with every note that they all serve the purpose of bridging mango and oud. Now, don’t be apprehensive with the oud accord as he explained at the end that the addition of vanilla and tonka tones down the oud. Then Steven mentions the mango accord here is strong and I will say mango can be that. I have smelled many mango-centered fragrances and it tends to take over even against prominent notes like vanilla or other fruity notes. If this is the strongest mango fragrance out there now like Steven said, I’m definitely gonna love it. Many thanks to Kintessence for the giveaway and I’m located in the USA.

  • Mango notes are so interesting and fun to explore! Watching redollessence’s review makes me eager to try this! Located in NY

  • That sounds like a really good combination. I’ve always been a big fan of strong, animalic notes like oud or civet. In general, perfumes like Oud Wood, Oud Khôl, Alexandria II Anniversary, and Oud for Greatness are incredible. Earlier this year I discovered Oud Maracujá by Maison Crivelli, and I’ve been saving up to buy it because it’s quite expensive. Astrum Nova is definitely a perfume I’d like to try.

  • reyessence89 says:

Animalic Osmanthus is something I’ve not experienced, as far as I know. I guess it makes sense that the perfumer used it to bridge fruity mango with the oud. Although it is curious that he relied on animalic osmanthus, but suppressing the animalic facet of oud.
As for Redolessence’s video, I’m hoping that the oud is not as hidden as he said. I’m an oud fan (synthetic and natural), and I’ve enjoyed passion fruit, cherry, apple, etc. paired with oud. So, Astrum Nova is right up my alley. I own six bottles from Electimuss – Rhodanthe, Auster, Amber Aquilaria, Gladiator Oud, and Patchouli Of The Underworld, so I’m familiar with the quality. I live in the USA.

  • Susan Tierney says:

I cannot wait to get my nose on this creation. I have few misses with blackcurrant, orris, mango, and oud. Sounds unique and tropical!

  • The written intro spoke of the notes and their connection. The video explained the mango and sweetness and darkness. US

  • David’s introduction got me interested. I am a fan of fruity oud in general and to see mango with oud linked is something I have been waiting for. I love the addition of citrus to freshen the oud and vanilla/orris to soften it. The transition from mango to the oud base had me! Steven confirmed!

    USA

  • I am intrigued with this fragrance because of the special notes that it has. steven mentions how well the oils are mixed to create a beautiful fragrance. oud and mango are one of my two favorite notes in perfumery. also want to say the way david chieze introduced the notes makes me want to acquire this fragrance even more, i heard about Electimuss London through steven and i see the quality of your products is top notch. thank you for the opportunity.

    -David F

  • From the listed notes alone this fragrance seems to be very interesting combining citrussy freshness with dark oud. I could imagine it beeing very versatile troughout the year and occasions. Definitely cant wait to try!

  • Hello I would Like to share Steven has been incredible with his works those days that always a man look to be incredible and smell incredibly good, I just saw the video Electimus astrum Nova, and I bought the sample before watch this video and the curiosity I’ve been enjoying so much this scent is not that heavy and has a strong potential to go to work with it, to go out it’s pretty versatile I think come from the oud, and mango citrusy that’s a perfect scent.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

This sounds awesome. Reading about it, the black currant jumps out to me the most. Steven describing the strongest mango fragrance peaked my interest. I’d love to win and live in Indiana.

  • Nearly always enjoy watching Steven’s reviews. Let’s be real here because “Mango Oud” sounds good on a label. It’s an easy sell because people can instantly imagine the vibe with the tropical richness coupled with mysterious depth. Perfume houses know this kind of name travels fast on social media.

That being said, Electimuss is a solid house and I’m really enjoying Moroccan Medjool this summer. I’m sure London Astrum Nova is the perfect marriage of exotic fruitiness and dark mystique, plus it will sell well both East and West.

I’m an ornery curmudgeon in the US.

  • Dark tropical mango and oud as Steven described it. Bright, sweet and fruity. Definitely worth trying. And how this is not animalic from the oud? As David said vanilla orris and tonka do the trick. I am not very familiar with the brand but that will change.

  • Interesting combination of fragrances that link mango to oud via bridging notes. The use of osmanthus works so well with its fruity, floral and animalic note. I’m not familiar with ambertonic, but its woody spice profile makes me think it would work well in a lot of different types of compositions. David gave a great description about the thought process used to create the fragrance. MD, USA

  • This is a very interesting fragrance as per the reviews. I can sense this will be a crowd favorite in the summer. The reviews make me feel delighted and warm like summer. I love mango and the scent of it. The reviews on this one is detailed that it entices me to try one.

  • This sounds like a delicious fruity musk beauty and I’d love to try it!! I love Osmanthus, ambrette, orris and oakmoss. Steven explaining how astrum nova smells was helpful. I do have one from this house called Vixere which I bought for the violet note. It’s not a strong violet but it’s a gentle fragrance overall. I’m curious about some others.
    I am in the U.S.

  • Ive been quite a sucker for mango since way back when polo black was released as a young man. Theres just something about that multifaceted juicy yet almost powdery note that i love, certainly not a commonplace ingredient as well so you have that also

  • kusudamakitten98 says:

I was intrigued by David’s statement of using orris, vanilla and tonka to soften the oud in the fragrance and Steven’s comments that the oud can be quite fruity, as in this fragrance. I love mango and am excited about the staying power of this scent! I am not familiar with Electimuss London.

    From CA, USA

  • Really cool to learn about the creative decisions behind each note in David’s process. Really love longevity in fragrances so really thankful that Steven mentioned it. Never really smelt a mango focused fragrance but am glad for the clarification Steven mentions on the use/strength of the oud in this fragrance. I’ve tried a few Electimuss London fragrances before and am happy to hear that the longevity of their fragrances still stands true.

  • VelveetaCheetah says:

I’ve never smelled this house before. The notes almost remind me of another galaxy millions of miles away from planet Torino 24 by Xerjoff in which i own and love. That one almost gives me an astral feeling with the plum in the heavy forward. This is my only experience with mango which gives a fuzzy tropical vibe in the dry down. The dry down of that one also reminds me of Byredo Alto Astral (a warmer planet full of oceans made out salty coconut water, an absolute joy) This one really sounds delightful! That bottle looks so stunning too! That would look beautiful on my shelf next to those two i mentioned. The longevity sounds great too and I’m glad it’s not an animalic oud. I love when oud is elegant and soft in the back (paragon says oud but i don’t get oud and i loove that one) this looks like a great way to get into a new house that I don’t know much about. Thank you for listening to me and introducing me to something i hope i win! Have a great day. Great videos!

  • Emanuel Delgado says:

This is the perfume I’ve been waiting for fruity musky smooth, great projection, natural on the skin. I can not wait to add this to my collection.

  • Hearing this as a strong mango with oud tropical fragrance sounds wonderful. Enjoyed the descriptions from David and Steven very much and hope to try this as I’ve only sampled Caspian Cherry from this brand. I’m in the USA.

  • I’ve tried a sample of this Parfums and love the combination of mango and oud. Agree with Steven that it does open fruity and sweet but the oud in the dry down gives it darkness and mysterious vibes. As David Chinese described – Ambrette seed connects the fruity top with the oud. In the heart, osmanthus and blackcurrant reinforce the mango–oud link. Overall inoffensive and pleasant fragrance appropriate for all occasions . I do enjoy it

  • I’ve been really into tropical oud fragrances. I’ve got my hands on Fugazzi Passionfroudh, Trouble in Paradise, & Reniers Oud Rain, and they are my favorite for warmer weather. Steven’s break down of the notes and how the fruitiness of the mango changes the character of the oud really makes me interested in this scent by Elecitmuss. Have never smelled any from the house but I’ve heard many good things, probably form Steven’s other reviews. USA

  • Kensolfactoryodyssey says:

David mentioned the connection between fruit and oud. Typically I find the most oud fragrances are always connected to rose. I would love the opportunity to no one with a fruity tone as opposed to a floral. I’m in the USA.

  • A bombastic mango and dark oud. This sounds like electimuss got in with the trends and decided to give it some extra umph and a pair it with some body. Steve’s description of dark citrus and David’s emphasis on how the supporting notes build a bridge between the oud and mango makes this sound like a notable divergence to the saturated mango trend. .

  • Steven was not lying when he said the Electimuss London has some of the heaviest presentations in perfume lol, they are weapons! I love mango oud such a nice combo a la God of Fire. Interested in how Steven describe this as a “darker” mango. Lately people seem to be on the train of hyper realistic mango fruity fragrances. David Chieze, based on his description, looks like he really tried to create a well balanced fragrance here.

  • The only Electimuss London fragrance I’ve smelled is Amber Aquilaria, it smells fantastic , boozy woody vanilla with a touch of rose. To my knowledge the house most popular fragrance, at least on Instagram and YouTube, Steven is also praising it regularly in his Fall and Winter top10 videos.
No wonder there’s a buzz surrounding Astrum Nova online, juicy mango , osmanthus iris and of course vanilla and oud , such combination is a match made in Heaven. Little black dress category fragrance if you ask me .
What appeals to me in Steven review is how genuinely amazed he is by Electimuss London fragrances as a brand , and in particular Astrum Nova , it’s not just a review he had to do, he enjoyed every single moment.
Cozy , classy , delectable and a bit lustful at the same time, I’d love to win Astrum Nova
    Thanks for the draw

  • Chieze’s comments about how he composed Electimuss Astrum Nova make are an interesting perspective on how to utilize oud and balance it to meet the needs of that particular fragrance. The ambrette is a well-chosen bridge here. Steven highlighted how the “strong, charismatic” mango brings out the fruity aspects of this oud, seguing from the sweet fruity opening to the dark base. I didn’t realize mango is such a volatile note, so it’s a surprise that it lasts in this strongly-concentrated fragrance. Astrum Nova sounds fun and textured. I haven’t tried any Electimuss London fragrances and I’d love to start here with an easygoing oud.

    I’m in the USA.

  • David, you had me at mango accord! I love the use of vanilla and orris to soften the animalic side of the fragrance. As always, great review Steven. As a mango lover I think I’d like this fragrance based on Stevens description.

    I live in the USA.

  • I’m intrigued with the “darker mango” part. I will like to have this one in my collection already have Imperium and Black Caviar. GA, USA.

  • Let’s face it , whether it’s for dates , social nights out or a trip to Paris every man needs a perfectly fitting tailor made suit , brown loafers and a fragrance like Astrum Nova .
I like the beautiful color scheme of the bottle, the oud , delicious yet non-sticky grown-up profile with mango , tonka bean and according to David Chieze just a bit funky osmanthus and cassis , Astrum Nova sense of refinery is tickling my fancy even more.
Navy Blue 3 piece wool suit, Zegna fabrics width lapels, double vents, patch pockets and working sleeve buttons , Light Blue shirt, Derby shoes in brown leather and Astrum Nova will give me a perfect balance between classic and modern, formal and casual. Sophisticated fragrance , and a future classic that captured my attention thanks to David Chieze introduction and Steven review.
My two favorite Electimuss London fragrances are Amber Aquilaria and Spice D’Arno.
Thank you Steven, Michelyn , David Chieze , Kintessence

  • I enjoyed David Chieze intro and Steven YouTube video very , and I mean VERY much . Felt like i had a revitalizing shot of juicy mango , vanilla and oud
Coming from a Classically trained in Paris Pastry Chef I’d like to say Astrum Nova sounds fantastic. David Chieze intro and Steven review made me think of making, and later on eating Mango Cake with Mango cream filling and Mango Compote while drinking osmanthus tea and someone burning oud near by , the whole mixture is how I’d imagine Astrum Nova would smell.
I own my two favorite Electimuss London fragrances Caspian Cherry and Amber Aquilaria , and I also own 10ml travel spray of Cupid’s Kiss
Highly appreciate David Chieze intro , Steven’s review, and the giveaway campaign

  • Like always Steven makes a great job doing this review. Astrum Nova base on Steven is basically a luminous and grounded: a joyful, tropical opening that glides into a refined, woody embrace, all underpinned by a beautifully woven narrative of stars and earth. It’s elegant, modern, and full of personality—perfect for fragrance lovers who enjoy fresh complexity wrapped in luxurious softness. For me, I loved so much much Tropical fragrance but with a density so I am very excited to try this new scent from the brand. From USA.

  • wallygator88 says:

Astrum Nova felt like a beautifully crafted bridge between tropical brightness and night‑shaded depth—mango, citrus, and ambrette seed link to the rich, animalic oud woven into the heart, then warmed and softened by ambertonic, orris, vanilla, and tonka

It’s that duality—luminous yet grounded—that really resonated. I’d love to try Astrum Nova!
    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Astrum Nova by Electimuss London i think is modern, multifaceted fragrance with a high compliment factor.
All nuances David Chieze and Steven told us about i find attractive, the succulent mango , the musky freshness, cassis , vanilla and oud. I’m also really looking for the clever incorporation of darker, woody twists , because I’ve never smelled anything like that before, seems like even Steven was surprised in a good way.
Good performance, and compliment factor are always welcomed , Electimuss London and do know well how to make it happen with sustainable ingredients Amber Aquilaria is in my possession, compliments galore every single time I’m wearing it .
The whole package with David Chieze introduction and Steven review made me smile , thanks a lot.
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • I had the pleasure of smelling a few Electimuss London fragrances and I’m so impressed by every single one of them.
Astrum Nova is sophisticated with a few interesting ideas and twists. The delicious fruity and musky mix of mango, ambrette seed and vanilla , osmanthus together with the subtitle ambertonic blend is so posh , not to mention the orris accord , i need to try Astrum Nova as soon as possible. I like learning from David Chieze about the bridge between the mango and oud.
What I also appreciate about Electimuss London is that they always use top notch ingredients, presentation is always great and most importantly they don’t follow trends .
From the few Electimuss London fragrances I’ve smelled Amber Aquilaria is my favorite, as a liquor connoisseur I have to say the cognac in AA smell smells ultra realistic , Caspian Cherry is also great.
    Thank you for the opportunity

David wrote about the osmanthus and black currant linking the oud and mango. Steven said the mango adds a tropical, sweet and fruity quality, yet a darker and diffusive feeling to the fragrance. Steven also said it’s the strongest mango fragrance on the market. He also said the oud note is a supporting role in the fragrance. I really enjoyed the way Steven showed the high quality packaging of Astrum Nova.
    I live in the USA.

  • A fruity oud scent, by a niche brand I have never heard of, count me in. I need an amazing new scent for fall / winter, the last niche scent i owned was Nishane Hacivat which I had to give away to my Dad as he fell in love with it, coud’nt say no. Come on lucky draw karma! Hand me this Oud!!

  • Mango and Oud….just really cannot go wrong. In David’s intro he mentions Ambrette seed with its fruity, musky and freshness and how it links oud and mango together. Steven mentions that it is a charasmatic mango and I love that mixing in with the orris. Electimuss has become one of my favorite houses lately with the additions of Caspian Cherry and Spice D’Arno to my collection. Steven also mentions that this is possibly the strongest mango scent on the market and I want in.
