Dallachai by Montale

DALLACHAÏ by Montale is a new release, which blends coffee with milk and spice. The lactonic effects are addictive and delightful while the spice is intoxicating and provocative. The warmth of the dry down radiates coziness for this long-lasting perfume. –Steven

The notes alone had me..Spicy coffee and milk…yes I would love something like this in my collection and the bottle color is gorgeous. I live in Orlando Florida, USA

  • Montale is an amazing, iconic, high quality fragrance house! The fragrance choices are exquisite. I am excited about the notes of this wonderful fragrance. After watching @redolessence review this fragrance makes me more excited to own this scent! I pray that I am the lucky winner of this new creation! Thank you for this opportunity!

  • Angela Clack says:

Steve’s expertise is always appreciated. As far as this fragrance, it was helpful to understand that one of my favorite scents, cardamon, is prominent right at the outset. I love lactonic fragrances that have a spicy accord and that seems to be the case with this one.

  • Dallachaï- What a beautiful creation and feast for our senses! I appreciate the spicy depth of Cardamum in chai teas and fragrances. Blended with frothy milk, blonde coffee, saffron and passion fruit and presented in such an exquisitely created bottle, it gently tempts one to “drink!” Thank you Steven for your presentation of this lovely product launch! It’s great being on the cutting edge with your knowledge!

  • Just based off the notes, I was intrigued, but Steven’s review really served to reassure and excite me regarding the passionfruit in this. I love passionfruit as a note, but was unsure how it would play with milky spiced coffee, but Steven’s depiction of this is lovely– very excited to get my nose on it! From NC, USA.

  • Vatrina Taylor says:

I love Monatale fragrances and my fav from the house is Sensual Instinct. I love that fragrance so much but I’m also in love with Lucky Candy and Bubble Forvever. I love Steven videos and he’s very informative with his knowledge on fragrances and fragrance houses. I hope to win a bottle but I d own a lot of Montale fragrances.

  • Jenna Park says:

My favorite from the house is Arabians tonka. I love a cardamom scent. When it’s done well it’s beautiful. Steven saying how original this fragrance is and the cardamom has me wanting to try this one. I am from USA

  • AromaDulce73 says:

Coffee, Milk & Spice…ok, you got my attention.

I’m a fan of Montale but I don’t have any in my collection. I like the presentation of DALLACHAÏ. Steven mentions the passion fruit which is something I wouldn’t think would blend well with clove & coffee.

Definitely look forward to getting my nose on what Steven calls “a morning beverage”.

Tbh this description of it made me extremely curious. Haven’t seen much new from Montale and I hear so much mixed reviews on them and I’ve been hesitant in trying this brand but I’m interested in this for sure. As always love the breakdown, comparison , and in depth of each note!! The fact he says it sounds like it’s in a lane of its own. Ooh!! Would love to win this!!

  • DAISY PEREZ says:

NEW! Montale Dallachai sounds like an exquisite fragrance. The unique combination of spices, woods, and a touch of sweetness sounds luxurious and sophisticated. Definitely a must-try for fragrance me. Steve sure know how to sell me fragrances. LOL

  • Ramses Perez says:

Montale bottles can be very deceiving indeed as they are light as a feather but they are full and all the fragrances are super strong! I knew this was coming but didn’t know it was a lactonic scent with spices; marvelous! They have another sort of milky scent (Intense Cafe) but this one does on a different way. My favorite Montale to this day is still Arabians Tonka. I see how the name came to be too and I learn what a Dallah is today. To me, this gives cafe con leche (coffee and milk) which is a very popular drink a lot of Europeans/Latin countries consume. This is lovely. I follow Caflerebonofficial on IG and my username is Ramses.d.perez. I’m located in the USA.

  • I haven’t tried anything from Montale yet but I love coffee and I love chai so if this is in the ballpark of those scent profile I’m sure it will be great. Steven said it’s cardamom heavy and I enjoy cardamom so this sounds like it could be a good introduction to the brand for me. I’m in the USA

  • As always, another amazing review from Steven. I love a dirty chai, and this sounds like the perfect coffee scent to add to my collection. Seattle

  • This sounds spicy and warm. I’m surprised that it would be released on the heels of Spring. Although, for me, I wear whatever suits my mood regardless of the season. I’ve not had the pleasure of trying any Montale fragrances, yet, but I already have Chocolate Greedy on my wishlist after another of Steve’s reviews. But I think I may have to add this one as well…

  • I smelled this at a local store, didn’t realize it just came out. It’s SO good! Even though it’s more coffee than tea smelling (I looove chai) it all comes together so well. Steven is right about the spice. The cardamom works so well within it.

  • Steven’s review gave an exotic, almost sensuous vibe and put you in a different place. This would be a wonderful scent to have in the collection. Watching the Redolessence review, I knew this would be a keeper

  • I’m glad to hear from Steven that it didn’t sound like it had a loud blaring faux oud/amber because I do not need to smell another with that note. Phew. I loooove cardamon so this sounds like a fragrance I would enjoy. A little lactonic can be so warm and inviting. I love the name too. I am located in USA.

  • AFTER WATCHING THE REVIEW. MY NOSE IS NOW INTERESTED ON SMELLING THIS DELICATABLE FRAGRANCE. I DONT OWN ANY MONTALE FRAGRANCES, SO THIS WOULD BE A GREAT OFFICE SCENT TO GO ALONG WITH MY DAILY COFFEE FIX!.
    THANK YOU:)

  • I discovered coffee fragrances recently, and this sounds like a beautiful mix of coffee, spices, and milk. I’ve only read of Montale, haven’t had the opportunity to sample their products yet being new to the perfume scene. This sounds lovely and decadent. Kentucky USA

  • Greg Graham Sr says:

Thank you Steven, CAFLEUREBON, TWISTED LILLY. FIRST OF ALL THE COLOR OF THE BOTTLE IS GORGEOUS AND THE FRAGRANCE SOUNDS DELIGHTFUL A MORNING CUP OF COFFEE. THANKS AGAIN

  • Jessica Barbosa says:

What I like most about STEVE is that he’s direct, doesn’t embellish, and his honesty. Whenever I watch his videos, I want to buy every fragrance he’s featuring. I’m new to following him, but he captivated me.

  • maha qureshi says:

i can’t wait to get my nose on this sounds right up my alley and i love Montale fragrances so much

  • Kim gabert says:

Fragrance sounds so interesting. Steven’s review really makes the scent sound intoxicating. Coffee, mild and spice sound delicious. I am in the US.

  • BigNoseSmallWallet says:

I can’t say what my favorite Montale fragrance is as I have not tried any of them yet and watching Steven’s review I’d imagine this would be an adventurous one to start with.

  • Steven is a great he is one of the best reviewers that really knows his fragrances. Montale is one of my favorite houses that created amazing fragrances.

  • Latasha Griffin says:

Everything about this sounds like a win! Saffron, passionfruit, coffee, lactonic notes, spices and that Montale musk that is my beloved DNA for the brand. I adore big, bossy fragrances that project without remorse. Montale always delivers on that so I trust when @redolessence says it is beast mode that it absolutely is BEAST MODE! Can’t wait to get my hands on this one! Time to add a new bottle to my collection next to Arabians Tonka, Intense Cafe Ristretto and Sensual Instinct

  • Christopher Dorsett says:

I am interested in experiencing a fragrance combining cardamom, passionfruit, and coffee notes.

  • sherin thomas says:

I love latonic notes in fragrances, it gives such a cosy vibe that is spot on from what Steven reviewed. I love to get my nose on this . I am already salivating

  • Catherine Fleming says:

I love the melodic way Steven pronounces “Dallachai”.
Genial intermingling … Cardamon, saffron, coffee, passion fruit
    Unique to Montale?
    I am saying YES!

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

The addition of passionfruit in this spicy, milky, coffee fragrance is really intriguing. I would say this could have been “just another” coffee frag if not for this fruity inclusion. The uniqueness has me looking to this perfume in a very positive light, I would love to get my nose on it. I am a Redolessence subscriber and I follow Cafleurebon
from eris.can.swatch.kaos on insta. I live in Oregon.

  • I enjoy the videos because it adds a human connection rather than just reading a review. Also glad it’s not another oud. A fave from the house is Boise Vanille.

  • Love Montale Fragrances so many to choose from. Love the notes and bottle color. Always trust Steven’s reviews. Spicy coffee milk sounds wonderful. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Renee Victoria says:

Have been really interested in Passion Fruit lately. Along with the other accords, I adore cardamom, this sounds lovely!

  • I have a couple Mancera fragrances but would love to try something different from the sister house montale! Thank you!

  • Besides all of those amazing spices in the opening, I love the added layer of passionfruit is sneaked in the mid notes. Coffee fragrances happen to be my favorite type of gourmand. And I adore Montale scents. Ristretto Intense Cafe is one of my all time loves!
    I live in the US.

  • Tarance Davis says:

As a lover of fragrance, Steven describes this bottle as nothing short of amazing in my eyes very descriptive I can almost smell this one lol! Montale intense cafe is still one of my favs so I know the way that he describes it this is a scent family definitely up my alley! Love a beautiful coffee scent can’t wait to get my hands on a sample of this gem!

  • I loved how Steven described it as being cozy, and that the passion fruit isn’t over done!

  • Brandon Rodriguez says:

Spicy, coffee, creaminess. Sounds like a dream or almost like a chai latte. This would be a great addition.

  • Chai spices with coffee and amber notes sound warm and inviting. The milk adds some creaminess and the passionfruit is an unexpected addition. Steven describes it as a cozy scent. Favorite Montale is Intense Cafe. MD, USA

  • Amanda32828 says:

Montale fragrances are never a disappointment, and based on your review, Dallachai sounds like an incredible new release. The blend of coffee with milk and spice creates a unique and intriguing balance, where the smooth, lactonic elements are both comforting and addictive. I like the idea of a coffee shop fragrance, and I think this one sounds a lot like it. Thank you for another great review, commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA

  • Up until now, Golden Dallah has been my favorite coffee scent in my collection. This Montale has similar notes so I would be interested to see if I like it as much. It sounds great! I’m in USA.

  • HighclassSis19 says:

Steven, you have me very, very curious about this fragrance. I’m pretty sure I’m going to buy this one. I only own one Montale (Day Dreams) however, I own 8 Mancera fragrances. I do not own any fragrance with coffee or lactonic notes. I made a promise to myself that this year, I’m only buying fragrances that are strongly appealing yet unique from any other in my collection to even be considered for purchase. This one sounds very worthy and definitely meets the criteria! Thank you for this descriptive review! (BTW, This is the 2nd review I’ve heard on Dallachai but that first one didn’t quite persuade me.)

  • Elizabeth Morales says:

The notes alone have me all excited..spicy coffee, milk, and passion fruit…yes please…I don’t have a Montale perfume yet & would love this to be my first.

  • Thank you Steven, great review, and i am so looking forward to trying this, as I love love love cardamom, and passionfruit. When I visited Sydney, I always ordered passionfruit gelato, and miss it terribly (I rarely find passionfruit in the store) I like that the bottle is the same shade as chai, which i also enjoy. I have not tried any Montale scents yet, but I will need to order a sample of this one. Thank you! I’m in the us.

  • Thank you steven for the review. I like how he breaks down the spice composition and how it’s balanced with the passionfruit. Sounds like a unique combination as stevn says. I live in the US and would to try this!

  • thatgirl_kim__ says:

As always. Steven’s reviews are straight to the point and in-depth at the same time and this fragrance interests me because it sounds like such a cozy scent to me with a passion fruit twist. I love the smell of passion fruit and my tumeric chai tea both so I’m interested to smell this offering from Montale.
My favorite Montale fragrance is Arabians Tonka and my IG name is
the same as this site: thatgirl_kim__

  • libangeddy says:

What a nice review every time I watch his videos I want to buy a bottle of perfume I never would’ve been interested it they’re so evocative. This review sold me on this bottle when he said that the coffee doesn’t dominate and stand out. When coffee does that in perfume it can just smell like you spilled some all over you, but from the sound of things this bottle smells more life a perfume than just some latte breath. I have zero montale fragrances unfortunately so this would be my first. I live in the USA

  • To a western ear, DALLACHAÏ is a great name for a spiced coffee fragrance. Steven pointed out the spice component leans more towards cardamom (wonderful with the smell of coffee, and I’m a fan) than leathery saffron, and that juicy, ripe passionfruit note is wisely secondary to the spice, with the coffee playing around the edges. Very cozy, indeed. I’d love to wear DALLACHAÏ on a gray, cool day.

I’m in the USA. I haven’t tried any Montale fragrances yet.

  • carrie_earle says:

I’m interested in this fragrance more than I thought I would be because of Steven’s review. I do not get along with overly heavy coffee scents. It sounds like this is going to be a comforting cardamom scent with a little hint of coffee and passion fruit.
    I’m intrigued.

I do not own any Montale fragrances but I have a sample of Vanilla Absolu and although it is very gourmand I do really enjoy it. Hopefully I get to add a new Montale very soon.

  • foreverscents says:

The spicy and fruity opening sounds amazing. I love cardamom. I agree that it is a charismatic note. The passionfruit sounds juicy and I like that the coffee note is a bit obscured. I like that Steven said there is a genial intermingling. I definitely want to try this one.
I enjoy Red Vetiver from Montale.

  • Loved to know that the cardamon is pronounced in this fragrance. Steven put myself at ease about that passionfruit note. My favorite from Montale is Honey Oud. Thanks for a chance to win this. USA.

  • PerfumesforLife says:

Bottle is beautiful and i am a sucker for goid coffee-tea fragrances. I loved the review. Lactonic notes also sound beautiful. USA

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the nice video Steven.

Super interesting fragrance, particularly the use of passionfruit, saffron, cardamom in the opening, with the coffee in the heart instead of the opening and then moving into a sweeter musk amber base.

    Would love to try it

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • I’m really loving passion fruit lately, and this sounds intoxicating with the passion fruit, milk, and the spice. The addition of coffee, amber, and musk make this more than just another fruity fragrance. Being of a certain age where fruity fragrances seem a bit juvenile for me, I appreciate these additions.
Thanks Steven for this informative review, thanks Twisted Lily for the bottle, and thanks Cafleurebon for this opportunity. I’m in Michigan, US.
