Deborah Lippmann

Dear Michelyn and CaFleurBon,

Happy First Birthday! I am sending along my sulfate & paraben free shampoo and conditioners as I know you’ll enjoy the Neroli and Orange Blossom fragrance. They are fragrant memories of times spent with my father in Italy when I was quite young.

I’ve worked with a perfumer to create them and used the poignant aromas in all of my Revolution in Cut products,(the scents are designed to layer upon each other so your hair smells wonderful). I know Michelyn's favorite top note is orange blossom, which alleviates stress and tension, so we are scenting it your way!

Enjoy,

Ric Pipino

Dear Michelyn and CaFleurebon,

Birthdays are Yummie!

Fashion is fragrance.I start my outfit with it, (like with Frederic Malle's Un Parfum de Therese that Michelyn turned me on to) and sometimes I finish with it, (like with Tom Ford Noir De Noir.) Dressing with a Yummie against your skin and with fragrance, makes you feel happy. Enjoy this beautiful fashion top we named Mayumi, in your choice of black or white.

Coco Chanel (an icon of both fashion and fragrance) said “Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all. White too. Their beauty is absolute. It is the perfect harmony.”

Love,

Heather Thomson

Michelyn Camen, Editor-In-Chief

  • My favorite article has always been The Last Tango and now I cna add another top favorite…Guerlain's Pygmalion.
Both of these articles certainly touch my heart and lift me away from everyday things. I love to dream and I suppose I am a true romantic to the core of my being. ……le sigh. I love reading everything written on this blog <3

  • Keep up the great work! It is amazing how this site has grown over the past year. Great giveaway as always!

  • Wow! wow! wow! My favorite article was on Bertrand Duchaufour's Nuit de Tubereuse because it was a fragrance from last year that really stood head and shoulders above the others in terms of creativity and art (the bottle!).  Not to mention no one has quite ever done for tuberose what he has in this beauty, as the article indicated, skillfully done with a challenging note.
    Happy Birthday, Ca Fleure Bon!

Oh yes i do love the following write up from the past……first one was The Smoke of Fragranced Experience, Per-fume…….and Queen Makeda – The true name of the Ethiopian Queen, the wife of King Solomon Judea, i love history, most of all egyptian, but this article sure caught my eye.

  • Claudia Kroyer says:

I love reading this stuff, always learning new things…….love the article Alice in Wonderland Redux Parfums D'Imperfiction……loved the movie too…Johnny Depp Yummi. And very interesting reading was the Perfume the New Second hand Smoke …..such a true statement if you work with someone that does not know how to properly apply a fragrance without fumigating the whole office …LOL.

  • Wow! What a giveaway!!! My favorite article was probably on visualizing the invisible: Roudnitska's world. It was simply fascinating. I love Deborah Lippmann products and i'm a total nail junkie!! oh, how exciting 🙂 Thanks for all the chances 🙂

  • ElizabethN says:

My favorite article was Liz Zorn Unplugged. I adore her and her work and wish I could own every scent of hers. I would love to win any of the prize- they are all great, thank you!

  • Favorite:

The review from April 19, 2010 on PG's Gardenia Grand Soir….just because I was reading up recently on M. Guillame, as PG has become a bit of a recent obsession.

  • Fave article? Bertrand Duchaufour's Nuit de Tubereuse as it's always inspiring to read about the elegant floral. Which brings me to a question, Michael. Can we submit story ideas? I am dearthly seeking high n' low for a Gardenia scent. Been through the scores of mainstream suggestions & abhor the average. Perhaps, you could suggest a few to try?
Fave gift choice? Lipmman nail lacquers. My tootsies could use some fun as I have a new boy to impress 😉

  • There were so many articles that I enjoyed but one that stands out is Visualizing The Invisible: The Scented World With Michel Roudnitska, although I also enjoyed Liz Zorn Unplugged.

  • Michelle Hunt says:

I have enjoyed looking through the archives and there are many interesting articles.  I particularly enjoyed the Brazil in a Bottle: L Lolita Lempicka article because I happen to have a small sample of this and I considered it a nice, cozy and warm vanilla-gourmand… and I now get to re-try this fragrance with a new perspective.
Please enter me in the draw, if I should be so lucky as to be chosen I would love to get that pretty drapey top in black (size medium, please).  Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I really enjoyed the interview with Geza Shoen, I knew nothing about him until I read it, he's a most interesting nose! I'd prefer the Lippmann set or the hair care set. Thanks!

  • Claudia Kroyer says:

This is a fun give away, so what its not a fragrance this time…these prizes are amazing…….Since i am interested in the 1000Flowers Reglisse Noir fragrance, what more fitting article to read then the one on April 29th, 2010 about the fragrance and i loved the April 15th article about L'Artisan Parfumeur Nuit de Tubereuse -Dizzy for Duchaufour since i love this fragrance so much. Its fun to go back in the archives and read some of these things.

  • As someone constantly worried about bothering others with my 'fumes, I found the article "Perfume the New Second hand Smoke" to be a nice examination from a sympathetic point of view..

  • Congratulations and happy birthday! My fave article from April 2010 was the news of Thierry Wasser's new Cologne for Guerlain Le Cologne du Parfumeur. With such a large house history behind him, I think his efforts resulted in something the Guerlain family would have most certainly approved of. (As to this draw, I am interested in checking out the Deborah Lippmann nail colour kit).
    Thanks and congrats once again!

  • "Visualizing the Invisible', definitely…my favorite part of the article was the discussion of John Singer Sargent's "Smoke of Ambergris"…I've always loved Sargent, but had never come across this particular painting before…thanks once again, Cafleurebon, for exposing me to something new!!
