Lily Pulitzer said it best, “Despite the forecast, live like it’s spring.” With hope in our hearts that soon we can safely unmask and stroll through the park arm in arm, here is part 2 of our favorite spring fragrances.

Archives 69 Etat Libre d'Orange review

Photo of Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 by The Perfumed Dahlia

Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 (Christine Nagel) 2011: Every sunny spring day seems like the promise of winter’s end, but then a colder day comes along like a devastating setback. During those last weeks of winter, cozy indoor smells become oppressive and the deep, mysterious fragrances that suited colder weather are no longer compelling. Enter the insouciant Archives 69 by Etat Libre d’Orange. Sometimes it wears as peppery pink bubblegum, snapping between someone’s teeth. Other days, it is slightly camphorous, proffering an effervescent incense. It’s a changeable fragrance for a changeable season, perfect for that wild urge to throw caution to the wind and go outside anyway, even with mud on the ground and icy tree branches. Notes: pink berries, tangerine, pepper leaf, orchid & prune JE, benzoin, camphor, incense, patchouli, musk. Dalya Azaria, Sr. Contributor @theperfumeddahlia

best French spring fragrances

Soon to be magnolias – by Emmanuelle Varron

Matière Première Parisian Musc (Aurélien Guichard) 2019: Springtime in Paris was quite magical: we loved walking by the Seine warmed by the sunshine, spotting green leaves on trees, wearing lighter clothes… and meeting our friends. Parisian Musc is one of my favorite spring fragrances and the perfect perfumed outfit: a woody musk, light but very chic, that goes straight to the point. You cannot miss its fruity-vegetal start, where the fig pairs with ambrette. Cedar wood adds depth and sensuality that is heaven on skin: you get the fruit and the branch united. The ambrettolide supreme brings the musky side, clean and enveloping, that augments the milky facet of the fig; thanks to ambroxan, woody and musky notes link together like a couple in love. Aurélien Guichard created an unexpected modern musk that embraces its softer side  Notes: fig, ambrette seed Peru, cedar wood essence Virginia, ambrettolide supreme, ambroxanEmmanuelle Varron, Senior Contributor

Ormonde Jayne Woman (Linda Pilkington with perfumer Geza Schoen) 2002: in the past month, the Namib desert was covered with lilies. For the past 10 years they laid dormant, covered in darkness and the rustle of the sand, just beneath the surface under the foot of wandering teeth, in slumber. And then the water came, and what’s ingrained in their beautiful gene helix was once again stronger, and they sprouted, and they bloomed. This past year left many of us bone-dry of life, vital shine, and creation. It’s chewed our juices, drained our essence, and buried us in a slumber close to emotional disapparition—and very few things are there left to move, and ignite, our nature. Ormonde Jayne Woman is my personal appeal to myself, to once more shake the dust and break through. It’s what happens before germination, when you need to go deep and find yourself. Notes: cardamom, coriander, grass oil, black hemlock, violet, jasmine, vetiver, cedar, sandalwood, amber.- dana sandu, @a_nose_knows

Citron Boboli image by Kaya Bagamaz for Le Jardin Retrouve

Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli (Yuri Gutsatz) 1977: After the torpor of lockdown and winter, what could be more revitalizing than an effervescent citrus fragrance? And not just any citrus fragrance, because at the hands of the remarkably well travelled perfumer, Yuri Gutsatz, this citrus classic merges with the exotic Indian spices he fell in love with. The lemon, orange and lime never leave this dazzling scent, but are tamed into a benevolent accord of spiced lemon, bringing dancing thoughts of far away places to a balmy spring evening as the sun goes down. Sun drenched citrus groves meet exotic spices. The botanical meets the gourmand in perfect harmony. Notes: lemon, lime, orange, galbanum, petitgrain, cinnamon, clove, black pepper, geranium, vanilla, musk

best lilac fragrances

Lilac Photo by Elise Pearlstine

Ineke After My Own Heart (Ineke Ruhland) 2006: After My Own Heart brings back precious moments of my childhood, memories of happy days. I lived in a small basement apartment in Brooklyn and my grandmother had a tiny plot of  dirt near the curb where lilacs grew, seemingly through the concrete. I must have been three  years old, maybe younger and stuck my nose into the  blooms, giddy with joy. There are many lilac fragrances, each have a certain beauty, but for me After My Own Heart is the most photo-realistic lilac scent there is. Others rave about the transparent watercolor sheerness of Frederic Malle En Passant, but that bottle is half-full on my dresser. I drained all but the last drops from my original bottle of After My Own Heart a soliflore that evokes the entire lilac- the flower, the stem, and the leaves with a hint of woody musk in the drydown. It is one of the most hopeful fragrances I have ever smelled and one of all-time favorite spring fragrances. I am not familiar with the frangrances mentioned but the Parisian Musc perfume attacted me: i dream that once the pandemic is over, I will see Paris again in spring. There’s something very light, airy and intoxicating in the Paris air in spring, so I would like to smell Parisian Musc and relive my trips to Paris.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

Nice to see a variety of relatively unknown spring fragrances on this list. Parisian Musc sounds the most appealing to me, since I tend to enjoy fragrances that use fig. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Another interesting selection, I have not tried any of these yet, so I can’t comment on them! Archives 69 from ELDO does sound very nice though, so I think I would like to win that! Bubblegum vibe fragrances can be nice when not cloying! Thank you from Canada <3

  • Part 1 already had some great choices, but with Archives 69 and Parisian Musc in this second Part 2, I’m not sure which part I love most! To be honest I would love to wear them all this spring!

Light woody musk; it is by far my favorite composition to wear in the fresh outdoors. I completely agree with Emmanuelle’s description and look forward to feeling the warm love again after a sombre and cold winter.

I would love to win Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc.
    Greetings from the UK!

  • I enjoyed the selection of spring fragrances presented here. Of these, I am familiar with LJR Citron Boboli and Ormonde Jayne Woman, which are both beautiful. I also very drawn to Ineke After My Own Heart, which seems to be a wonderful representation of the lilac note. If I were so lucky to win, I’d pick Ormonde Jayne Woman because of its uniqueness. I am in the USA.

  • macaroni023 says:

Absolutely amazing picks, all of them! I think I would enjoy greatly the Parisian Musc or Archives 69. The Parisian Musc sound so so good. I imagine that fig leaves gives it great smoothness paired with the musk and ambroxan. But if I had to chose one it would be Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69. I definitely need some pink pepper and warmth and juiciness from plum in my spring. Thank you for the draw and greetings from EU

  • foxesandfigs says:

I’m most interested in Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 and it changing depending on the weather outside. Sounds very interesting. California, USA

  • To go deep and find youself , that’s the way to restore us , to come back on track and feel whole again .Love Dana’s review and Ormonde Jayne Woman, Etat Libre d’ Orange and Parisian Musc. Happy 11th anniversary and congratulations for your work! From Romania-EU

  • glowquest_ says:

Wow this part two has me adding even more to my must try list! They all sound so gorgeous! I think I am most interested in Ineke After my own Heart, I live in Rochester, NY and we have a festival each year, The Lilac Festival. It’s one of my favorite things, walking through the lilac bushes, smelling each one and being surrounded by their beautiful scent. Plus the added notes in this of heliotrope, musk, sandalwood has me so excited! Thanks for the chance!

  • KMBfragrance says:

I love to think of all of the different facets of spring and how fragrance can express them. I would love to win Parisian Musc or Ormand Jayne Woman. I live in the USA.

  • A lovely selection to have all of us looking forward to Spring. I love the springtime imagery paired with all of these scents, and that each one celebrates a different aspect of the season. I’d love to win either Citron Boboli because I love anything and everything citrus, or Parisian Musc for the escapist fantasy of wandering through Paris white eating a fresh fig. Thank you from the US.

  • Archives 69 has resemblance to another fragrance from ELDO called Bendelerious if memory serves me right. Ormonde Jayne Woman is, indeed, a green fragrance that reminds one of the nature. My choices are Parisian Musk and Ormonde Jayne Woman. USA.

  • NARA Hodgson says:

Citron Boboli sounds amazing, not something I would usually go for but would want to try. Spring has sprung here in Virginia!

  • I have known some of these houses but never heard any of these fragrances and I’m enlightened to read about these unspoken fragrances. My little fragrance collection is mostly dominated by cold/winter fragrances and winning a draw of any of these would be lovely to start adding some freshies. Archives 69 and Parisian Musc are on my list to try it someday for sure. A reader from Los Angeles, CA.

  • AleksCipri says:

I love the part two choices since most of them I haven’t heard about or thought of sampling. The most appealing one to me is Parisian Musk since I love wings and I thing that they pair well with musk and cedar. My close second is also Ineke After My Own Heart because I love lilacs and according to Michelyn this perfume has a very photo realistic scent of lilacs. I’m from Illinois, US.

  • I really like how varied these choices are. They don’t seem similar to eachother which just shows how everyone has different taste and different memories that evoke spring. I’ve been very interested in trying a number of Matiere Premiere fragrances, and Parisian Musc is one of the ones I really want to experience, making it the fragrance I’dmost love to win. I think the spicy citrus with some gourmand accents of Le Jardin Retrouve Citron Boboli sounds lovely as well. And, the hopefulness as well as the notes of Ineke After My Own Heart make it sound like something quite moving and that I’d like to try. I live in CT USA and the fragrances id like to win are:
    1. Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc
    2. Le Jardin Retrouve Citron Boboli
    3. Ineke After My Own Heart
In that order. Thanks so much for the generous draw as always. Also wanted to add my congratulations to all at Cafleurebon for your 11 year anniversary, and thanks so much for what you do, you continue to inspire!

  • More great choices for spring. I’m ready for some light and delicacy in my fragrances. I would love to have any of the following:

The ELdO Archives 69 has an appealing effervescence and fruit, The bubblegum note adds a fun dimension.

Citron Boboli also has effervescence but with a range of citrus and some spice to keep it interesting.

OJ Woman is a favorite. It’s a complex feminine fragrance. I’m almost finished my small decant and would love a bottle.

The Parisian Musc pairs fig and ambrette with light woody musk. The softer notes seem perfect for the warmer weather.

Ineke After My Own Heart celebrates lilac and lilac is a quintessential spring scent. I like the woody musk finish.

Thanks for the opportunity. Commenting from MD, USA.

  • BostonScentGuy says:

I’m not familiar with most of these, except for Ormonde Woman (and that would be my choice if I were to win the draw). I think it’s a perfect spring scent! Rather than focusing on idealized flowers and sunshine (i.e. late spring in May), it successfully captures the moody, damp, woody, earthy, dewy nature of the true spring awakening of April. Thanks for this generous draw! I’m in the US. Ormonde Woman is something I’d love to win, or the Etat Libre.

  • I’m loving these spring choices! Makes me very happy that spring is upon us! The one that appeals to me most is Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli. I love a citrus scent, and I love the idea of pairing them with Indian spices. Sounds lovely! And I love that bottle! I’m in NYC.

  • An interesting bunch of fragrances that are all new to me. I thought the Citron Boboli sounds lovely, but I’m a sucker for fig fragrances. So Parisian Musc would be my choice if I were to win the draw. I’m in Oklahoma, USA. Thanks for the draw!

  • I like this line up, 3 out of are citrusy fragrances which are perfect for spring/summer. Would love to try Parisian Musc cause I love me some fig. San Antonio, Tx

  • Beautiful choices in these reviews, all of them appeal to me. I first was intrigued by Citron Boboli, I lean on citrus scents all year long. But wait, a perfume that sings of bubblegum one day, then camphor and incense the next? To Archives 69 I say, “Yes, please!” Spring can bring sunny pinks or grey clouds, both are welcome.

And I’m always keen to smell the work of Christine Nagel. Her Theorema and also Wood Sage & Sea Salt recall powerful memories for me. I am in the US. Many thanks to CaFleureBon’s writers for sharing these stories of Spring in a bottle.

  • i wish i could have seen the desert bloom in *that* way (i *do* go and see the desert bloom in southern california — and it is very lovely, too. no such lilies, thogch.)

    oh, and paris…

so these are the two i would love to win: ormonde jayne woman and parisian musc. but really, i’d be happy with any (as: who wouldn’t 🙂

    harper (usa)

  • I couldn’t agree more, how beautiful it will be to put our mask and social distancing aside. Her description of the beautiful and incredible phenomenon, of lilies blooming in the desert, and Dana’s personal attachment to it, tug at my heartstring. So if I had to choose one  it would be Ormonde Woman.
    From France

  • I love hearing the reviewers’ visions of hope for spring and beyond. I’m ready for any and all of those smells and the feelings they might bring! Any of these scents would make me happy but I’d be most excited to win Ormonde Jayne Woman, followed closely by my second choice Parisian Musc. (USA)

  • Rocio Jarabo says:

They all sound really lovely, but my eyes are set in Parisian Musc! Fig, ambrette, cedar… I’m so appealed! I’m always on the search for the perfect musk (who isn’t?) and this sounds interesting. I’ve been reading good things about this house and I’d so love to try it. I’m in Berlin, EU.

  • Great Spring list I am intrigued by Ormonde Jayne Woman the most because of the notes and also État Libre de orange archives 69. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • I am intrigued by Etat libre d’orange archives 69 because of the quicksilver nature of the fragrance and the notes sound gorgeous. I am equally fascinated by Ormonde Jayne Woman. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • I really appreciate that you always introduce me to fragrances and creators I have never heard about, and I am fascinated by the marvelous aesthetics of the articles. These selections seem to be leaning more on the feminine side. I would love to try Citron Boboli. Thank you from Greece.

  • Spiced lemon sounds too delightful to resist! Would love to win Citron Boboli. Thank you – and greetings from Berlin

  • Giorgia295 says:

So in love with this selection (more then the forst one). I haven’t try any oh these parfums except for archieve 69 by ELDO, ehich is not my fav.
If I’ll be lucky enough to win one I’ll go for Ormane Jayne Woman since it’s so iconic! But I’m also super tempted by Parisian musc, such a chic classic brand and the packaging it’s minimal and elegant, truly my kind of aesthetic. Sending love from Italy, Milano

  • This is a great selection, as it was the part 1. We are looking forward to Spring or even summer, depending on when we can get rid of the virus. The good thing of the selection is that each one shows a different aspect of the season: the changeable season like in Archives 69 by Etat Libre d’Orange; the warm walking trough a blooming green garden like in Parisian Musc; the fizzing citrus smell like in Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli; the promise of a new start like in Ormonde Jayne Woman; I bought once the Ormond Jayne for my mom, so good, like everything that Geza Schoen does…
I would like to win Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc, because i love the fig note that opens in this woody musk scent. I live in Spain, EU. Thanks for the draw!

  • Thank you for another excellent article!
From the list, I think I would mostly enjoy either Archives 69 or Parisian Musc.
    Europe

  • I love spring, flowers and the light of nature in this season. This year, in our country, spring is quite cold, it is still snowing … but i crave for green and light!

I need something to revive me and I think I would enjoy these the most right now —-
    1. Ormonde Jayne Woman.
    2. Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc
    3. Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli
    3. Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69

As for me, so far, even if it’s not spring yet, I’m already enjoying my Amyris Femme Extrait and Classique Essence.

    Thank you for this chance!

  • [Please, delete my other review because I didn’t mentioned where I live]

  • Spring is my favourite season so I love reading all these scent descriptions. I’m a big fan of lilac and en passant so if I come across the Ineke I will try. I’d most love Ormonde Jayne Woman which I have actually tried and love very much. The description of lilies coming to life in the desert is very evocative. I am in the U.K.

  • Don’t know any of the before mentioned frangrances mentioned, the one that really stand out for me is Citron Boboli. I always love citrus inspired scents in spring and summer time. Though not all of time citrus scents hold when climate gets hot. But I would love to try this one out!! Thanks for the opportunity! Living in the EU

  • It’s nice to see some relatively unfamiliar fragrances in the list. I love the note breakdown of the Ormonde Jayne Woman. And the ELDO archives 69 also sounds very interesting to me. Thank you for the generosity. I live in France.

  • Great list and wonderful choices. I have not feeling like spring more like dreary
Please enter me for Parisian Musc and archives 69
I own ineke after my own heart and love it otherwise I would list that too
    USA

  • IvanVelikov says:

The most interesting of contributors spring fragrances (part2) are:

    1.Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 , because of
How are you going from “peppery pink bubblegum” to “camphorous, proffering an effervescent incense” ?
I have experience with Etat Libre d’Orange, Experimentum Crucis i had to smell, because of Despina glorifying it on Cafleurebon. After some hesitation I bought it. Suits me well, and it’s a beast . It’s stronger than most Montale fragrances, and my Remarkable People is so much weaker compared to it. The two in my possession.
2.Matière Première Parisian Musc , because
“the perfect perfumed outfit” , I’m in tailoring business, and description made me curious.
3.Ormonde Jayne Woman , because of the notes. I also like the house.Don’t have a full bottle yet, just samoles of Ambre Royal and Tolu , and decant of Taif.
Thanks again to all contributors in Part 2 , and the brands
    USA, rarely Paris France

  • Stefan Cretu says:

I love Ormonde Jayne, and I can bet that would be a spring air I could breath for the entire season. Cheers and thanks for the giveaways!

    Stefan, Romania

  • The review of these Spring fragrances awakened in me hope and delight. After a year of restrictions, I think we Weill all be blossoming.

Would love Woman or Archive 69. Though any would be wonderful to try.

    In USA

  • I enjoyed your selections for spring. All sound delightful to wear, during these winter/spring days. If lucky, I’d choose: Woman, Archives 69, After My Own Heart, Parisian Musc, Citron Boboli. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! Mich USA

  • The Spring perfume reviews give me a sense of hope and renewal. After a year of restrictions we are ready to indulge.

My first choice would be Woman, followed by Archive 69 (so intriguing), and Parisian Musc sounds divine.

Located in the US (PNW) Thank you!

  • This best of spring series was delightful. This year I need the refresh of spring so badly, all of these sound like they will provide that. I would especially like to win one of these 3: Ormonde Jayne Woman because I too need to shake off hte dust and break through, Le Jardin Retrouve Citron Boboli spicy citrus!, or Ineke After My Own Heart because the fresh smell of lilacs in the spring brings me joy.
    I am in the US.

  • I loved this list, it contains fragrances that I am very intrigued to try.
So I will go on and try to win Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc.
    I live in Lihuania, EU.

  • Parisian musc sounds great, but Le Jardin Retrouvé really got my attention. Sounds like a lovely fragrance. I would love to try that one. I am in the USA, from Louisiana

  • wandering_nose says:

Of the 5 fragrances I have not heard of 3 so I am grateful for the chance to learn. All sound like great picks for spring! My choices would be:

    1) Archives 69 by ELDO – love their conceptual and unique creations, and love bubblegum in perfumes

    2) Woman by Ormonde Jayne – the woods grounding the flowers, and all spiced up… I am sold

    3) Citron Boboli by Le Jardin Retrouve – citrus with spices has caught me off guard. It must be fantastic!

Thank you from the Republic of Ireland, EU

  • sillage4ever says:

More yummy citrus to look forward to as the weather warms.

I’m in the USA and of these my most preferred are:

Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli for it’s lemony pepper citrus spice.

OJ Woman because it’s simply one of the most magnificent perfumes ever made, a modern classic if ever there was one.

Matiere Premier Parisian Musc because always yes to fig and it would be nice to sniff how it pairs with the ambrette note.

    Thanks for the generous drawing!

  • Danu Seith-Fyr says:

A grande vernal selection all, I am enamoured with Ormande Jayne Woman, Parisian Musc encompasses it all and Citron Boboli reminds us to breathe deeply and take in reinvigorating gasps of the verdancy of Spring. Ormonde Jayne Woman would be the choice. I live in SW France

  • I love all pictures and descriptions of proposed perfumes…I think all are different facets of spring and make me dream to nice and desired spring (mostly during this pandemic situatiin)… I would love to win Ormonde Jayne Woman.
    I’m from RO, EU.

  • flosolentia says:

A wonderful selection of fragrances part two. I tried only Archives 69 of all which is rather interesting spicy-fruity scent that opens with a clear refreshing camphor, I think this scent evokes thoughts of late spring and early summer, when the air is already so warm that flowers begin give thier smells to the air. I would like to win Ormonde Jayne Woman or Le Jardin Retrouvé

    Wisbech, UK

  • I am in love of Ormond Jane perfums , but I only own decants. Woman is such a masterpiece, and I will be more than happy if I am lucky and win one .
Thank you for your generosity and such a diversity of reviews.
Wish you all luck from Denmark

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

I like to win Ormonde Jayne Woman because intrigue me it is iunic with hemlock, violet, jasmin all the ingredients sound like witchcraft.
I am from Eu Bucharest Romania Europe

  • Lina Festila says:

Hi! I live in Romania a mountain area and lilies in desert is something that I would have loved to see personally… What a privilege… I loved the ideea of a spring in Paris… As for liliac fragrances I would like a go and smell it but I’m scarred… Liliac în perfume for me it was also harsh and soapy too sinthetic when replicated, nothing to compare with the natural. Great selection for spring, with luck I might get to test them in a Perfumery shop. By luck I mean no COVID19 restriction. BUT for me the most challenging will be Ormond Jayne Woman. This is the one that I would like to win because of the black hemlock. Sooo good luck to me

  • What a beautiful spring selection!
The one that speaks most to me right now is Ormonde Woman, since I’m looking for all the inspiration I can find to shake that dust and to hopefully break through.
    Greetings from Romania!

  • Recklessssssss says:

Parisian Musc and Citron Boboli sound the most interesting to me. Spring is still cold here, the fragrance needs to have some strength to shine in this weather. But it’s not as harsh as winter, so fresher fragrance can still last. It’s such a versatile weather to wear anything you like! These curated reviews are pleasant to read. I learned again more new houses and interesting scents.
I would like to win Citron Boboli, from the Netherlands.

  • The idea of a stroll in Paris is almost making me cry, as some years ago I had two beautiful holidays in Paris, in early spring. I even wanted to find Etat Libre d’ Orange boutique in Marais, but unfortunately, it will have to wait. I like the description of the fragrances I just read, nevertheless, what I would like to win is Ormonde Jayne Woman. I live in Romania, EU. Thanks for the generous draw!

  • Being a huge fan of le Jardin Retrouvé, especially their Rose Trocadéro, I was immediately drawn to the concept that is Citron Boboli: a citrusy scent with spicy overtones is a must-try, should I win it or not.
After My Own Heart is another perfume that I’ll pencil in my note book: I love a good lilac. Alas, I’m not eligible for that one 🙁

    Thank you for the draw!

  • Cezara Alexandra says:

I think these choices are best suited for this season, all of them seem to me like a good choice as spring is coming and we all need a fresh, green floral to embrace us in these weird times. I would like to win Ormonde Jayne Woman as it seems best for me. I live in Europe, Romania.

  • Beata Ghenghe says:

Great selection. I would pick Ormonde Woman. I’ve heard so many great reviews about this fragrance. I recently purchased Tolu from this house and I enjoy it very much. I definitely need to check out more offerings from this brand.
    Greetings from Bucharest, Romania.

  • spring is for rebirth – of nature, of all green things and seemingly and hopefully – of free, unmasked faces. Free to smell, free to hug, free to feel the warmth of the sun.
Too bad I don’t qualify for the After my own heart – awww, how I’d wish a lilac fragrance :).
But as I am living in Europe, my next best choice is Ormonde Jayne Woman 🙂

I don’t know the perfumes listed very well, but Citron Boboli makes me think of the famous lemons on the Amalfi Coast, where lemons are stars, in paintings, shops with all kinds of jams, juices, liqueurs, soaps, cosmetics. Their scent is felt everywhere, but I aim beautifully because now we can only be at home ……. Romania ,EU

  • All the choices mentioned appeal to me! Wonderful ingredients, vibrant and energising! I’d love to try The Ormonde Jane Woman and the slightly spicy Citron Boboli ! I live in Romania.Thank you for the draw! Happy spring!

  • All the perfumes sound lovely, but I am most inclined to get Matière Première Parisian Musc as it evokes springtime in Paris. I like oriental woody scents so that is another draw, cedarwood and musc. Other citrusy perfumes are good too, but then everyone will be wearing them, so why not Matière Première Parisian Musc, if I am indeed lucky enough to win this draw. Ineke makes beautiful perfumes which I have tried so Ineke After My Own Heart is a great choice too (haven’t tried any other brands listed here). Thanks for the reviews and the generous draw. Writing from the USA.

  • I really like spring and autum, I am drawn to days that never look like the previous ones … so these 2 seasons are right up my alley! Also, I would like to thank you all (the authors of these reviews and perfume houses that want to make our lives more beautiful in this pandemic context).

I would like to enter this draw for one of these 3 particular fragrances.
Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc for COMFORT…
Ormonde Jayne Woman because I need to deep in and find myself …
Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 because I need a changeable fragrance for a changeable season and, may I add, for a changeable WORLD these days…

    I am writing from Europe.

  • I would love to win After my own heart because I love the real scent of lilac I tried Opardu de Puredistance but it is a deluge of flowers and not a lilac soliflore, I tried In passing but for me c ‘is too transparent, a watercolor it is not possible to wear it is too fleeting in addition I have never tried perfume by INEKE. I like when Michelyn says: “After My Own Heart is the most photo-realistic lilac scent there is” and when she says: “After My Own Heart a soliflore that evokes the entire lilac- the flower, the stem, and the leaves “.
I would also like to win Woman by Ormonde Jayne he has an excellent reputation on blogs but especially because I have never tried anything from Geza Schoen, I like when dana says: “It’s what happens before germination, when you need to go deep and find yourself “.
    I live in France, EU.

  • Iuno Feronia says:

Nice prospects for a sad spring. I love the perfumes of Etat libre d‘Orange. Thanks for the draw, I would choose Eldo or le jardin retrouve.

  • ANDREEA ELENA TIMOFTE says:

Wow, some delicious fragrances here. Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69, Ormonde Jayne Woman are tempting, but how to decide from all this amazing fragrances?….
    I live in London, UK.

  • Part 2 does have more range from bubble gum to musc to raspberry. I definitely like Matière Première Parisian Musc for my number 1 choice.Tie for second spot with Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron & Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 because they seem kind of unique to me. Definitely looking forward to trying Matière Première Parisian Musc.

    USA

  • Nice choices from lilacs to musk. I would like to win after my own heart or Parisian musc
    USA

  • Fantastic short summaries… all very representative of the vibe the fragrances have. Parisian Musc and Citron Boboli both stand out to me. The lighter musk, though complex with all its notes, is very enticing. For Citron Boboli, I would like to try the idea of *spiced* citrus, one that I feel like requires some control, or it can get too noisy, in a sense. I’m sure the execution is great though. Both of those bottles are also stunning. USA based.

  • I’m so delighted it’s spring! This article made me excited to dig out my spring/summer perfumes. I’d be thrilled if lucky enough to win either Citron Boboli or Ormonde Jayne Woman. That house’s Frangipani will be tomorrow’s spring scent! Thanks for the drawing – I’m in NC, USA.

  • Lilies blooming in the desert then anything is possible . Lilacs growing from concrete is such a beautiful image.
My choices are Ormonde Jayne Woman and ineke After my own heart
    From Dallas

  • Lovely choices all over, with these three being particularly mesmerizing to me:

Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 – “changeable” is the keyword here. Spring up in the temperate zone can be quite unpredictable (even without dear climate crisis coming into play), so the flitter between spring pink and musing stormy smoke seems fitting!

Le Jardin Retrouvé, Citron Boboli – SPICE is NICE and even much more so with citrusy perkiness. Looking forward to especially the black pepper to breathe fire into the air as we [well, in the northern hemisphere at least] move on from wintertime.

Ineke, After My Own Heart – extra points for photo-realistic flora, with the lockdown and masks (thus much less time to do the flower-viewing in real life). The Crisp Green Foliage notes feel like a great addition — there’s no flower fields without actual leaves!

I’m based in Thailand, so I’d like to win [Le Jardin Retrouvé, Citron Boboli] very much please 😀

  • The part II of the spring perfumes draw came as a surprise to me. Usually one associates spring with bubbly, bright, romantic florals, maybe with a pinch of green or a touch of aquatics. But the Cafleurebon editors managed to surprise me with their picks, coming up with wonderful, varied, atypical choices from the most different spheres.
Actually my own pick, should I win, would be one that I perceive least vernal: either Ormond Jayne Woman or Archives 69. Even though all the others sound appealing too, these came across as the most unusual, one woody, aromatic, unsweetened and the latter, ambery, camphorous and spicy.
    I am in the EU.
    Thanks!

  • So many variations of happy, alive smells! They read like a cornucopia of all things wonderful. Spring-like fragrances are top of the game in my opinion. All of the entries bring something interesting to the table. I would love to try Citron Boboli since it sounds refreshing and warm at the same time. In my opinion it’s difficult to execute well a warm citrus. I haven’t found one I like yet. Maybe this is the one! Love and peace from Greece, EU.

  • Another wonderful selection of scents and cheering up article, love it!
From this selection Citron Boboli Le Jardin Retrouvé looks and sounds the most interesting, because I would like to finally try out something from Yuri Gutsatz and my favorite genre is spicy ones. Here spices are dancing with citrus, interesting…
Then I also felt connection of the words from dana: “Ormonde Jayne Woman is my personal appeal to myself, to once more shake the dust and break through. It’s what happens before germination, when you need to go deep and find yourself.”

I live in the EU and my choices are:
    – Citron Boboli Le Jardin Retrouvé,
    – Ormonde Jayne Woman.
    Thank you!

  • I like that part about Parisian Musc where it smells like heaven on skin. Musc associated with the idea of Paris – seems like a perfect combination to me. Therefore, if I were to win, I would definitely go with Parisian Musc.
    Thanks from Europe!

  • Citron Boboli from Le Jardin Retrouve sounds quite interesting. I do not think I have ever tried anything from the perfumer Yuri Gutsatz, and I am curious how a fragrance with a formula composed in 1977 is compared to modern standards. Thank you! Europe

  • The write up on After My Own Heart has really piqued my interest. We had rows of lilacs growing at home every year and it is a scent that always takes me back to my youth. I would like to be considered for the draw on that bottle. Thanks so much. I am in Canada.

I would also like to recommend that everyone try Archives 69 as well. It is often overlooked compared to the big hits of Etat Libre d’Orange, but this recommendation is spot on. It IS a chameleon of a fragrance. I also get the bubblegum some days, and the camphorous, medicinal scent on others. It’s a hidden gem.

  • Thank you for another great list and the giveaways. These lists help us in making decisions for our next fragrances to purchase or at a minimum add to the to-try list. I’m quite taken by Dana’s description of Ormond Jayne’s Woman (I already have a weak spot for Ormond Jayne 🙂 ). I would love to win:-

    1. Ormond Jayne Woman
    2. Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc
    3. Ineke After My Own Heart

I’m in USA and may this spring be the beginning of better times.

  • I loved the list! I actually have Archives 69 in my collection, it’s a great, great spring scent! I would love to win Ormonde Jayne Woman, I live in Croatia, EU! 🙂

  • Margarita K says:

It seems everybody agrees – the spring fragrance needs to be the smell of awakening of the nature. But everyone is different and to some forest or field fragrances would evoke this dramatic change of season.
For me spring is all about first flowers and blossoms. Like Mychelin’s, they are engraved in my childhood memories: snow drops, crocuses, hyacinths, tulips and of course the lilacs. If I’m lucky I’d like to win
Ineke After My Own Heart. Thank you for the opportunity. USA

  • From this selection I am especially interested in “classic citrus merged with the exotic Indian spices” and in “Namib desert covered with lilies” (!!), thank you for the inspiration!
I live in the EU and I would love to win:
    – Citron Boboli Le Jardin Retrouvé,
    – Ormonde Jayne Woman.

  • I think the sampling of all the beautiful fragrances and flowers depicks Spring! It is such a great season of awakening. Because of that, Ineke’s fragrance, After my own heart and Archives 69, have grabbed me on this list. I would really love them all! California

  • Of the fragrances mentioned above I am familiar with Archives 69 and Ormonde Jayne woman. I always admired and loved OJ for that forest feeling that I find very special and different from other perfumes.
Would love to win either Ormonde Jayne or Parisian Musc (I like Aurélien Guichard’s work and musk so I am keen to try this one:)).
Thank you, I live in EU.

  • I love this selection also. Lots of flowers and freshness, perfect for spring, for green grass and blooming flowers, for watching nature and people walking by from a table at a terrasse. As the weather in Romania is still cold and snowy, I long for spring, even if it comes bottled and packed. My nose and brain will do the rest. I would love Woman from Ormonde Jayne, a house that I love. I am currently in Romania.

  • Haven’t tried the above either. Some interesting fragrances to try. Not sure which one to go with but Le Jardin retrouvé , Archives and Parisian Musc I’d like to try the most. Thanks, Ca

  • I always enjoy these “themed” posts with a series of contributors sharing bite-sized reviews of different fragrances, so of course I’ve been enjoying the spring rundown, parts 1 and 2. It’s fun and inspires me to revisit my own perfumes and scent memories.

My #1 pick is Ormonde Jayne Woman! Interesting to see it on a spring list, as I think of this one as truly seasonless, but dana’s connection to a germinating seed feels apt. The green, earthy, spicy notes in it can certainly evoke new beginnings. This one is honestly a masterpiece to me for its duality and execution, it’s at once very “one with nature” and very refined and elegant. I’m really hoping to upgrade my depleted decant into a full bottle.

#2 is Ineke After My Own Heart. I love lilacs! I have a shrub in my backyard and it’s waking up for the season, I can see the purple buds forming already. The poor thing is a bit leggy, my climate isn’t the best for it, but the fragrance is to die for. Any perfume that captures a whiff of true lilac is a winner in my book. I actually have two Ineke perfumes in my collection, a jasmine and a rose fragrance from her limited line for Anthropologie a number of years back! Lovely style, sheer but full of character.

I’m in the US, thank you for the draw! <3

  • Loved reading how the fragances bring different memories and how they make us want to revive them again just with a whiff.
My personal preferences to use in Spring are mainly citrousy, but the fig in in Parisian Musc intrigued me, so that is my first choice.

Would love the opportunity to win

    1. Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc
    2. Le Jardin Retrouve Citron Boboli
    3. Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69
    4. Ormonde Jayne Woman.

Thank you ÇaFleureBon for this oportunity.

Greetings from Portugal, and good luck everyone!

  • Narcisa Miettinen says:

The Namib desert covered in lilies – there’s nothing screaming “Victory to life! “ then this!
As I live near Arctic Circle and we are still covered in snow, I wold very much like to smell this victory of life thought Ormond Jayne’s Woman

    Narcisa, Finland

  • As a newbie in the perfume world, I usually try new fragrances after reading about them on CaFleureBon, very rarely I know the fragrance at the time when a review is published. So, I was very pleasantly surprised that the second part of the spring recommendations includes not one, but two fragrances I was familiar with: Parisian Musk by a wonderful French niche house Matiere Premier and Woman by elegant English perfume house Ormonde Jayne.

I completely agree with Emmanuelle’s description of Parisian Musk as chic and straight to the point. It’s the encapsulation of Parisian nonchalance per se. One of my favorite discoveries of 2020.

Woman by Ormond Jayne is a second gem I highly value. It’s an unusal fragrance as it is Dana’s story. I was surprised to learn that a perfumer is Geza Schoen, a father of Escentrics Molecules, which I adore, too.

Based on Samantha’s review, Citron Boboli by Le Jardin Retrouvé seems to be an interesting citrusy fragrance with some spicy edge. I can not ever get enough of dazzling citrusy scents in all forms and compositions.

Dalya’s recommendation Archives 69 by ELDO seems to be a great perfume for the time we live in. Not only the weather is moody, everything has been changeable lately. Pink bubble gum or effervescent incense? I would not mind smelling as either.

I really enjoyed the second part and if I am lucky, I would be thrilled to win any of the above-mentioned fragrances.

Thank you, CaFleureBon, for the educational and inspirational content and beautiful recommendations.
    Greetings from Slovenia (EU)

  • Thank you guys for this lovely spring list. So many perfumes I have to try. Love Michelyn description, lilacs growing through Brooklyn concrete. Piqued my curiosity about “After My Own Heart”. Matière Première has a little hype in IG. I’m curious about this brand too. Who doesn’t love a good woody musk?
    Country/state: Texas or Puerto Rico

  • vickalicious says:

I’ve not tried any of these fragrances but would love to try After My Own Heart. I love lilac fragrances, and Michelyn’s description makes this sounds lovely. Also the fact that she nearly drained all of her bottle speaks volumes! Thanks for the post, and the giveaway! Located in the US.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

Ineke After My Own Heart would be my choice because we had huge lilac tree in the yard of the house I grew up in and I have such fond memories of that scent. Thank you for the draw I’m in the US.

  • all descriptions are very interesting, but especially Parisian Musk intrigued me more: fruity-vegetetal, fig with ambrette, cedar wood and musk all together sounds amazing.
I would like to win Ormonde Jayne Woman or Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc.
    USA

  • I enjoy these compilation articles. Parisan Musk is unknown to me and I like the sound of it! I have smelled Ormande Jayne Woman and I agree that it is a great springtime pick! Citron Boboli is an effervescent spring scent by Le Jardin Retrouve that I would love to own. These three would be my favorites to win should I be picked. Thank you for the scent-sational ideas! I live in the USA

  • carlos_lager says:

Really nice spring selection and they all sound so different and unique. To me Ormonde Woman and Parisian Musc sound the most interesting. So I would choose one of them if I were to win.
    Greetings from Austria, EU

  • I haven’t tried any of these compositions. From your descriptions, I find Matière Première’s Parisian Musc for it’s use of Peruvian ambrette seed extract and Citron Boboli (Le Jardin Retrouvé) worthy of sampling them.

I would love to win Citron Boboli (Le Jardin Retrouvé). Thank you (Bangladesh & UK)

  • These spring fragrance choices echo the positivity and hope for a post-Covid world. Let’s leave the uncertainty behind and wear these upbeat happy fragrances. I’m especially charmed by Ormonde Jayne Woman as described by danu, the review absolutely resonates with
Me and Parisian Musc as described by Emmanuelle, because the smell of figs makes me happy :). Marit UK and NL/EU

  • kramerongo says:

Some brand houses are unknown to me but I read a lot about them and they have lovely mix so bravo on selecting them. The Citron Boboli is the frag I love to wear. I am in Sweden EU

  • wallygator88 says:

Thank you for the beautiful second part of this Spring fragrances review.

I would love to win any of these fragrance but my eyes (nose) has been caught by Ineke’s After my Own Heart and Jardin Le Retrouve’s Citron Boboli.

I have never smelts a lilac fragrance before and I’m a big fan of Ineke’s work, particularly Idyllwyld (which is another fantastic spring fragrance) and Jaipur Chai.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • chrisskins says:

I’ve been mixing my spring frags with my winters. It’s not a year to take anything for granted. Which of these amazing perfumes draws my attention the most: Citron Boboli. I love citrus and have been an animal for cinnamon lately. I live in the USA.

  • I like being informed about what seems to be the best “spring” fragrances by a group of people who seem to know perfumery well. I live in MD., U.S.A. so I’m eligible to win any of these fragrances and I hope to win all of them.
Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 (Christine Nagel) 2011: It seems like an interesting insense-based fragrance, and, also, I haven’t tried anything from them yet.
Matière Première Parisian Musc (Aurélien Guichard) 2019: It seems like a pleasant fragrance to wear while spending time w/ people, and it seems like an enjoyable fig, ambrette, musky fragrance.
Ormonde Jayne Woman (Linda Pilkington with perfumer Geza Schoen) 2002: I’ve heard that this fragrance house has high-quality releases. Also, when I saw grass oil in the listing of notes, and in combination w/ the other notes, it seemed like it might be a fragrance that could be associated w/ springtime.
Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli (Yuri Gutsatz) 1977: I’ve been very interested in trying all of the fragrances from this fragrance house for a while now. It’s citruses w/ the spiced lemon accord seem very appealing to me. I especially hope to win this one.
Ineke After My Own Heart (Ineke Ruhland) 2006: This is another one that I absolutely hope to win. I enjoy the scent of lilacs very much, and this fragrance seems like it is an enjoyable, high-quality lilac w/ woody musk fragrance. I imagine that it could be become one of my favorite fragrances based on Michelyn’s review and it’s list of notes.

  • Michael Prince says:

Great list of spring fragrances. There are several that really caught my eye Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc, Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69, and Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli. There are two that I would love to smell on my wife Ormonde Jayne Woman and Ineke After My Own Heart. I would love to win any of these 5 offerings for spring. I am from the USA.

  • I would like to win one of
    -Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69
It’s still cold on the outside, Archives 69 i believe will work well for the late Winter, and the whole Spring season.
At the moment my number one Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance is Spice Must Flow, and I find the smell of it very similar to Chai Masala – Rose, Cinnamon, Ginger, Cardamom . If you know Chai Masala, you know Spice Must Flow. Fabulous smell, and unlike some other Etat Libre d’Orange fragrances it’s a powerful one, really powerful. My other two favorite Etat Libre d’Orange fragrances are Remarkable People and You or Someone like You .
    -Ormonde Jayne Woman
With all the nerves and stress I had last 2 weeks , negative emotions trying to gain total control over me . With Woman spring, and genuine positive energy will come after all .Tolu is my favorite Ormonde Jayne , such a luxurious scent. Everyone should if not own it , at least smell it.
    -Matière Première Parisian Musc
The ambrettolide … milky facet of the fig….ambroxan, woody and musky notes link together ….
    Pleasing versatile fragrance
Thanks again for all the work, and the giveaway
    USA

  • The second selection is more unexpected, but as always very inspiring. Boboli Citron sounds so appealing, Parisian Musc sounds just right and 69 sounds the most fun. Ormonde woman is a classic as is the Lilac in After my heart.
Should I win I would like Parisian Musc.
    I’m in Eu.

  • Ormonde Jayne Woman has some interesting notes and I think it would make for a great gift to my fiancee – perhaps it even makes for a wedding scent.
Thank you! I am in the EU.

  • Very full of hope choices. I believe that maybe only next spring we will de-mask and walk together in large group of people, but let me hope that this will happen during this summer, too. I would love to win a Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc, I am totally intrigued with what a parisian musc is because musc is such an oriental perfume. Thank you

  • Bryant Worley says:

This was an excellent list. The diversity (in my humble opinion) was well done. These were off-the-beaten path, definitely not well-known fragrances.

The ones I would like to win are:

Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 – I look forward to getting to experience what “effervescent incense” is going to smell like; quite exciting.

Ormonde Jayne Woman – I can’t see why this is Ormonde Jayne Woman. Should be called “Ormonde Jayne Unisex”, because that note combination is made for a woman, but would wear excellently on a man. Jus’sayn…..

Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli – “The botanical meets the gourmand in perfect harmony.” – is there anything else to be said?

Ineke After My Own Heart – Michelyn made this sound so good. Then there’s the notes, of course.

All winnings should be sent to my address in Waldorf, Maryland, USA. Please….and thank you.

  • Andreea Florica says:

A most wonderful selection! I can’t wait for spring to be really spring! Here, in Romania, it’s still a bit chilly with some parts of the country having lots of snow as it is still snowing!
If I were to win, I would go for the Ormonde Jayne. I really like the colour of the bottle and I think that the juice inside matches the outside!
    Romania, Europe. Thank you!

  • Amanda32828 says:

The one thing that I like the most of all your articles is finding out new fragrances, new notes and new brands. I have to say that I love the surprise element, the novelty of it. There is always something new and unexpected and reading about new perfumes and brands is always so awesome to me. From part 2 of the Spring draw I’ll love to win Ormonde Jayne Woman and if possible also Le Jardin Retrouvé Citron Boboli. Yes I know that the draw is only for one but I thought to give it a shot anyways. Thank you for another great review. Commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA.

  • What a interesting article with beautiful choices! I know Archives 69 which are very unique with notes of camphor!
I am intrigued by Ormonde Jayne Woman description! I love Ormonde Jayne perfumes.
I would like to win Ormonde Jayne Woman, Parisian Musk, which about I have read in here and other places goid reviews.
    US

  • In Best Spring Parfums Part 2 the best 3 are
    1. Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69
    Such an unusual fragrance 🙂
Pink bubblegum + camphorous feel . I’m not surprised , 500 Years for example , my favorite Etat Libre d’Orange smells like chocolate rose and cardamom tarts, with rose water .Fat Electrician is my second favorite Etat Libre d’Orange. No doubt it’s unique . Combination of vetiver and the cream is done very well.
    2.Ormonde Jayne Woman
    Spring where are you??
To me Ormonde Jayne almost equals Ta’if Elixir. I was blown away first time I’ve smelled it.
Smells very, and I mean very similar to a traditional Persian Pavlova cake, but more people know it as Persian Love Cake.
    3.Matière Première Parisian Musc
I expect high quality green fig leaves, and cedar fragrance.
Appreciate reading about all reviewers best Spring fragrances, and the giveaway campaign
    USA

  • WeAreScentient says:

I love Dalya‘s take that Archives 69 is a perfect metaphor for spring weather. I’m not sure if I should put on sunglasses or take an umbrella these days? & shorts with a rain coat seems to make some odd sense too ?

I’d love ELDO’s Archives 69 or Matiere Premiere’s Parisian Musc as both would remind me of spring time in Paris. Rue des Archives is one of my favourite streets in Paris, the Museum of Woodlands & Hunting is a little place of magic. Not that I support hunting but it’s an interesting museum to explore.

    I’m in Dublin Ireland

  • I love the vibe of such collaboration kind of giveaways, with different views from different people. I’ll go with
    *Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69
The house is famous with quirky fragrances, I do believe Archives 69 is no exception.
I do have one Etat Libre d’Orange fragrance in my collection. When i was a kid , grandma was growing pumpkins,blind-bought Tilda Swinton Like This , and i love it . Now the name is changed to just Like This , I don’t know why. On my second bottle “Tilda Swinton” part is missing , but the fragrance is the same , it’s not reformulated if someone wonders.
    *Ormonde Jayne Woman
    Dana and her artistic reviews
Ormonde Jayne I know for Tolu , and Tsarina.
    *Matière Première Parisian Musc
    Comfortable musky fragrance
    Awesome job, thanks
Back and forth between USA and Scotland, two weeks in US -> two weeks in Scotland, and so on. Basically both USA and Scotland at the same time

  • zhiang0113 says:

What a lineup of fragrances to welcome the spring! Everyone has a different interpretation of what scent evokes and/or welcomes the arrival of spring, from sweet florals to bright citruses and invigorating spices. I love the diversity of choices here – and that’s what’s so beautiful about fragrances, with its subjectivity and emotionality.

I live in the UK, and would love to win Ormonde Woman – it looks very suave and sophisticated! Thanks for hosting the giveaway 🙂

  • immortano26 says:

To be honest, the part 2 is even more intesting than part 1. I just fell in love with Matiere Premiere Parisian Musc. I visited their site and read that main idea was “A woody musk” – and i don’t need to read anything more about this fragrances. This is the one I’d like to win, but there are so many good comments here, so good luck everyone! Spring is already here, and there’s so many excelent fragrances to wear right now. May the spring be with you!

  • petergigov says:

Spring? In theory Spring is already here , practically it’s still Winter. In no particular order
    Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69 .
You never know what to expect from Etat Libre d’Orange , sometimes i look at the notes, but when I smell the fragrance I get something different. I have a feeling Archives 69 is a good one.Spice Must Flow , spicy roses, with cinnamon and non gourmand sweetness , and with bombastic lasting power , and Bijou Romantic i have.
    Ormonde Jayne Woman
Funny story about the house.Blind bought Ormonde Jayne Royal Elixir, because Dana Sandu Cafleurebon contribution. Honestly I absolutely love it, but the smell is nothing like I imagined it to be . I remember there was Mongolian people laying on ice , and some connection with traditional songs in the review. The smell to me has nothing to do with all above, it’s not cold, but so alive , touching with strong Caribbean or Brazilian vibe , with happy people dancing salsa.I’m not blaming Dana Sandu of course, but myself ONLY.Next time when I get excited on Cafleurebon, I’ll make sure to sample the fragrance first .
    Matière Première Parisian Musc
A few fragrances made by Aurelien Guichard arein my possession, the reason I’d like to win Parisian Musc.
    Second exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Clemence CC from youtube spoke highly of Paris Musc so I would love to win that one, but also Citron Boboli, which sounds like a an interesting take on a citrus with the spices, and Archives 69 with the bubblegum that sounds like a fun

    from Denmark

  • Claumarchini says:

I am not familiar with the fragrances listed, but they all intrigue me very much. It is indeed an extremely interesting selection and if I had to win I would go for Archives 69 because I’ve been thinking about having an ELDO fragrance for quite some time now. Other choise would be Parisian Musc because I am very intrigued by Matiere Premiere and because it is an intriguing fragrance and don’t have any similar one in my collection so far.
    Greetings from Italy

  • The only one I own from this list is Archives 69. I completely agree that it is best in spring. It has something refreshing and envigorating like the first gusts of warm wind after a long, cold winter. I would not refuse to accept a back up bottle on my shelf. The second perfume that interested me is Parisian Musc. I like it because it is chic and sensual. Woody, musky, with ambrette and milky facets – one of my favourite genres. And of course the vision of a romantic springtime in Paris is very appealing. Matière Première seems to be a very interesting brand. I would like to get to know it better. Especially Encens Suave.
    I live in the EU.

  • WaltherP99 says:

Again I’ll share my thoughts on fragrances I know.
    Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69
Once Etat Libre d’Orange representative told me “Archives 69 represents us , as a company , it’s what we are”
Spicy , dry , fruity, mildly sweet with camphorous smell. Very well blended fragrance.
    Matière Première Parisian Musc
All 8 Matière Première smell really good, all have good, to strong performance , Parisian Musc included. Sampling is hard , because for now at least the company do not offer sample sets ?!? I had to look for third party sellers on Ebay, selling decanted samples.
    Ormonde Jayne Woman
Leaning masculine fragrance in my opinion, perfect for the Spring. Proud of owning Frangipani Made to Measure (pure parfum line) in 50% concentration in a beautiful custom bottle , and i feel like i own bespoke perfume. I also paid a bit extra for bottle engraving.
I’d love to win one of Archives 69 by Etat Libre d’Orange , Parisian Musc by Matière Première or Ormonde Jayne Woman.
Just followed @monbazarunlimited , all other profiles I already follow.
USA only , thankfully for 2 more weeks only

  • fleurdetilleul says:

The review for Ormonde Jayne Woman sounds so appealing! I’ve felt quite dormant during the past years too and like the lilies of Namib I’m about to bloom soon, hopefully! I’d like to apply for this fragrance, please! I live in the EU. Thank you ÇaFleureBon and thank you to the gracious Linda Pilkington of Ormonde Jayne!

  • I’ll just repeat myself from Part 1 , but It’s really cold today, It doesn’t really feel like it’s Spring.. My Spring picks from Part 2
    Etat Libre d’Orange Archives 69
“Archives 69” is unconventional, just like most Etat Libre d’Orange fragrances, Dana review was really interesting.
I’ve sampled “I am trash” because of Despina Veneti take on Cafleurebon , and bought it a soon after. Again Despina aka “The Queen of Etat Libre d’Orange” was the reason i found out my beloved Experimentum Crucis . It’s pricier than the regular Etat Libre d’Orange fragrances, but I had no doubts how much I needed it .
    Ormonde Jayne Woman
Classic high quality woody green aromatic fragrances I adore .Don’t have yet a full bottle of Ormonde Jayne, but from the three samples that I bought
    Tolu > Vanille d’Iris > Frangipani.
    Matière Première Parisian Musc
Lately I’ve seen people talking about their fragrances, , and I like musky chic scents.
    Thanks to all
USA most of the year , and Germany from time to time

  • Another winner list of bright hopeful fragrances. I’ve only sniffed Ormonde Jayne Woman, but I am very curious about sniffing the lilac of Ineke After My Own Heart because we had huge lilac bushes at the house where I grew up. So, Ineke After My Own Heart is my choice if I were to win. I live in the USA.

  • MissJanners says:

I also recall burying my nose in a lilac bush as a child. It’s such an innocent smell to me. I love lilacs so much, and I appreciate each different lilac fragrance for their unique facets. I would love a chance to win Ineke After My Own Heart or Citron Boboli.
    I’m from Canada.

  • Spring is a lovely time for perfume. As the list reflects, florals really shine here. If I’m lucky enough to win, I’d like to receive Ormonde Jayne Woman. I haven’t tried it, but I’ve tried Man, Tolu, Ta’if, Montabaco and many more. Not a single miss. The customer service is also great, they are a pleasure to deal with.
    Best regards, Denmark, EU.

  • Hello,

That sound great, it would be a very nice present for my nose and for me, or maybe it will be a great gift, I think it would be like a trip to smell this great combination of notes.
This notes are like a beautiful story that smell at every chapter for hour after hour.
Thank you and have a nice day

  • Interesting mix of fragrances here! I particularly enjoyed the connection between memory and scent that Michelyn experienced. I’d love the Parisian Musc. I live in Ireland

  • Ooh, I’m so craving spring and springtime scents! Sadly for me, I’m so allergic to lilac, which grows in abundance where I live. Enjoyed reading all this hopefulness & the Lily Pulitzer quote is great! I am particularly craving citrus and would pick the Citron Boboli BUT I simply adore Ormonde Jayne Woman and don’t own a full bottle, so how could I resist picking it?! In Maine, USA.
