Best Fall Fragrances 2019 + Autumn Perfume Draw

Best fall Fragrances 2019

It’s fall in NYC… almost photo by Michelyn©

The summer of 2019 was one to remember…or maybe forget. The United States and much of Europe experienced the wrath of the weather gods, with torrential rains, hail, wildfires, tornadoes, flooding, wicked winds. record breaking heatwaves, extreme variances in temperatures, hurricanes and drought. Which left the question what to waft?  Now that Fall is almost officially here (September 23rd in the Western Hemisphere), we breathe a collective sigh of relief and offer our “Ode to Autumn” with the Fall fragrances that we have already begun to spritz with abandon.

Aedes de Venustas Palissadre d’Or signed by master perfumer Alberto Morillas in 2015 is a perfume I’ve been reaching for about this time over the last few years. Although the name implies “rosewood” there is actually none of that precious, endangered wood in the fragrance, don’t worry. At first spray it there’s a very pleasant biting pink pepper with an underlying smoothness. Chilly spiciness remains center stage while the warm woodiness swells in the background. A little bit into wearing it the elements meet in the middle when cinnamon heats up while a creamy sandalwood smooths out. Rose and frankincense aren’t listed as official notes but I feel as if they peak through now and then. Another thing I appreciate about this fragrance is that is smells differently when you press your nose up to your wrist and when you get a waft of it throughout the day (both addictive to me.)

Best fragrances for autumn

Autumn by Giovanni Paolo Castelli

Fall is taking its time here in Milan and the morning air just started cooling down, yet days look like late spring. Flowers rejoice and the first yellow leaves start to float in the air like in a Baroque landscape. The appropriate match to this Baroque languor is a beautiful bunch of cinnamon dusted violets, redolent of face powders made out of crushed petals and the red tinged spice to blush the porcelain cheekbones of the courtesans: in a word Neela Vermeire Creations Rahele. Its leather and tobacco laden chypre carpet covered in earthy patchouli and violet leaves, wears like a pair of cuir pleine fleur gloves thanks to touches of styrax and saffron. –Ermano Picco, Editor

ADH - Aroma de Hormiguero (The Scent of the Anthill), from the Primal Waters Collection of Santi Burgas review

Fall leaves are falling…not yet, but soon! This is “my” season: a Virgo in me becomes hyperactive, busy as a little ant before Winter kicks in and below-zero C temperatures slow me down again .Feeling like Persephone, I turn to more “earthy” tones in perfumes, although I tend to ignore any and all rules. Speaking about busy little ants, there’s one perfume that fits this feeling well: ADH – Aroma de Hormiguero (The Scent of the Anthill), from the Primal Waters Collection of Santi Burgas, created by Rodrigo Flores-Roux, launched in 2018. ADH feels almost like you are experiencing a whole day in an ant’s life: from rushing along a trail in midst of a dewy grass field, moving along many busy corridors inside a freshly constructed anthill – earth still damp, to moments of rest and satisfaction of work well done, expressed by soothing resinous-balsamic tones softened by a remote hints of oakmoss-patchouli layers.

Notes: Naturally occurring formic acid derivatives (formates), algae accord, fresh mushroom accord, geosmin, galbanum, mastic tree resin, patchouli, oakmoss, fir balsam, vetiver, artemisia, and petitgrain.Elena Cvjetkovic, Guest Contributor

L'Artisan Parfumeur Coeur de Vetiver Sacre review

When fall falls, we call it out: “the sun has teeth again”. Days get short, nights-nippy, and melancholy hits in tones of purple (usually), textured greys, and the occasional off-white that makes the eyes close and the mind rest. Above all, the platitude- necessary, total, and respectful as the silence at the end of a long labour.  The only smell that makes this transition seamless and organic, for me, is Coeur de Vetiver Sacre, a lost gem from L’artisan Parfumeur. Created by Karine Vinchon Spehner with assistance from Nick Steward, (now founder of Gallivant), Coeur de Vetiver Sacre blends fat vegetals (vetiver, tarragon, bergamot, tea, peppers) with smoky tinges (black tea, incense, osmanthus, guaiac, tonka, castoreum) and creamy facets (saffron, iris, sandalwood, musk, apricots) for an effect that is filling, satisfied, and as definitive as the end of the summer.

Notes: bergamot, orange, black tea, pepperginger, coriander, saffron, dates, dried apricot, incenseosmanthusroseirisvanillavetiver, tarragon, sandalwood, white cedar, guaiac wood, amber, tonka , labdanum, castoreum and musk.- dana sandu,  Contributing Editor

Fall in Southern Utah

Fall in Utah by Sandi©

My favorite time of year is FALL! It just like spring here in the desert, is unpredictably warm and usually as short! Or totally nonexistent. The dry heat that lingers and lingers leaves me longing for a shot of the nourishment that served the Greek Gods so well. Ambroise from Ormonde Jayne serves me up the sustenance that satisfies not only my skin but my spirit and mind as well. It leaves me longing for more and a more intimate embracing of the flowers and the abundance of fruit followed by the warmth of amber and vanilla. It absolutely is bliss on earth.-Associate Contributor, Sandi Lundberg

Chatillon Lux Biblio

Still Life with Old Books and a Cupcake – Gail Gross ©

In late Autumn, when the big Pacific storms start rolling in, when the winds howl and the trees fall, there is nothing more comforting or distracting than sitting by a warm fire and simply reading a book. Chatillon Lux Bilbio by Shawn Maher from his Side Project Series, creates the same cozy, bookish and protective atmosphere that I enjoy as I curl up by the fireside for a long, lovely read.  Sensations of dry, desiccated woods in Chatillon Lux Biblio float like motes of dust through filtered vanilla-almond firelight, telling musky, waxy, sweetly intoxicating tales of crumbling boards, split spines and fading moiré-patterned endpapers. Caramel, a bit of clove, balsam, something vaguely phenolic and nuances of dark chocolate all contribute to the story.  Furfural (the scent of brittle, crumbling paper) and a suggestion of fallen leaves add a nutty, malty, slightly burnt, roasted aroma to the mix.  As the fire crackles and flickers out, Chatillon Lux Biblio surrounds me with a quiet, enveloping, balsamic darkness, fragrant dreams nestled between the pages of my books.

Fall fragrances Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee

Indianyug.com

With the advent of autumn follows a period of reflection, introspection, the culling of wisdom of the ages. How intuitive then, to don Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee for Fall. Memorializing India’s iconic Vedic Era, Trayee (Bertrand Duchaufour) evokes potent images of deities and spiritual tutelage, totemic symbols of all that really matters in our lives – all the while cherishing its immense beauty and depth. I should add that it was my first full bottle purchase (while agonizing over the choice between Trayee and Mohur – which I eventually bought as well. Resistance is futile).  As I dab it on my wrist I sigh, seven years later: a tribute to complexity and the exquisite nature of botanicals, Trayee has lost none of its baroque lustre. Riotously floral and smoky by turns, it coaxes you to examine your inner workings. No one need be the wiser: to gauge it on loveliness alone is perfectly permissible. The woody foundation lends voice to the season sans melancholy.  “The unexamined life is not worth living…” ~ Socrates

St. Clair Frost Review

St. Clair Scents Frost (Diane St. Clair): Reminiscent of woodsmoke from a chimney, falling leaves, and rare, rich mulchy soil, Art and Olfaction finalist Diane St. Clair’s tribute to American poet Robert Frost is the quintessential Fall fragrance. What St. Clair’s Gardeners Glove does for the summer garden, Frost does for the autumn walk in the woods. Laden with the essential smells of the woodlands in Fall, Frost is the olfactive equivalent of a tattered and earmarked book of verse you might carry in your favorite wool “woods-tromping” jacket. It smells of forests, campfires, and the slumbering earth. “This scent follows the story of Frost’s poem, “To Earthward” which describes the transformation of youthful love, from “sweet like the petals of the rose” and “sprays of honeysuckle” to painful love, which stings like “bitter bark”, “burning clove” and “rough earth.” -Diane St. Clair Perfumer

Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin Yellow and Green, Coriander, Petitgrain sur fleur, Meyer Lemon, Honeysuckle Accord, Rose Geranium, Elderflower Absolute, Petitgrain Absolute, Cistus, Labdanum Absolute, Vanilla Absolute, Vetiver , Cedar, Smoke, Clove Absolute.  –Robert Herrmann, Sr. Editor

Best Autumn fragrances artisan

“Blame it on the rain”, photo by Carter Smith for Vogue US 2000®

Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blanc (Pissara Umavijani), an atmospheric green/leather beauty in the vein of vintage masterpieces of the genre, fulfils my autumnal yearning for emancipating chypres exuding self-confidence. Evoking both invigorating walks into the woods right after the rain, and relaxing afternoons spent reading in a comfortable Chesterfield armchair, Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blanc is composed as an olfactory harmony of contrasts: fiercely green galbanum mellowed by luminous orange blossom, neroli and ylang-ylang, a heart of earthy-sweet tobacco leaf and refined leather, a deep patchouli/oakmoss base encompassing both dry and moist… Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blanc bears the unmistakable signature of Pissara Umavijani: a soulful fragrance in which the sensual and the spiritual appear as ONE, instilled with the perfumer’s effervescent optimism.

Best Fall fragrances 2019

Promenade of Autumn Mihai Christe

Yesterday I moved my summer citruses and fruity florals to the other side of the dresser. The fall weather right this moment in New York City is glorious… warm days but a chill in the night air.  Grandiflora Boronia by Bertrand Duchaufour (that makes four for Duchaufour in our top fall fragrances) is a rich boozy perfume with the unmistakable but indescribable aroma of true Australian Boronia, which is a scrub flower with  an intense aroma;  highly floral with a chameleon like scent of hay, osmanthus and woods that peek through. Saskia Havekes, the creative director of Grandiflora has bottled her youth in this intensely intoxicating chypre fragrance with gourmand nuances that balance warm resins, smoky tea and a soft tobacco with rich swirling notes of golden cognac and caramel that waft around me like a light autumn breeze.  For me, it is the most “Australian” of Grandiflora’s fragrances, suitable for both men and women and the one I always reach for when the sidewalks of NYC are covered in a mosaic carpet of colorful leaves.

Notes: Boronia megastigma, cognac, verdant florals, black tea, resins, tobacco, suede, caramel and dry woods. –Michelyn Camen, Editor in Chief

  • My favorite fall fragrance is Zoologist Civet. I’m surprised I haven’t seen Zoologist mentioned here often. They have some amazing fragrances, however I think some people feel a bit scared off by the theme. I would love to win Nishane ANI. I live in Canada.

  • Wow! These fragrances are all sounds fabulous. I have never had a chance to try any of these but I would be very glad with any of these. Thank you very much for the giveaway! My choices:
    – Aedes de Venustus Copal Azur
    – Le Sillage Blanc
    – Rahele
    – ANI
    – Grandiflora Boronia
    I live in the EU.

  • Where I live is already cool so I am starting to rock some heavy hitters full of leather and oud. They are doing a great job so far. From the article, to my shame, I don’t know any of them. I am in EU and I would choose if I were to win Le Sillage Blanc or Trayee. Thank you!

  • I enjoyed reading about the assortment of fragrances that include many different autumnal notes and aromas: from warm vanilla to crisp violets, from verdant leaves to dusty books. Of the featured bottles I would love to win one of the following:

    Neela Vermeire Rahele

    Nishane Ani

    Chatillon Lux Biblio

I appreciate the opportunity. I live in the USA.

  • scentedmoments says:

I haven’t tried any of these fragrances, but their description aroused my curiosity.
The fragrance that I’m very interested to have is Ani by Nishane: seems to be a vanilla heaven.
    I live Lisbon, Portugal

  • I would love to be in for Nishane Ani, Neela Vermeire Trayee, Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, or Chatillon Lux Biblio.
My fave fall frag is PDM Habdan. I’m from IL.

  • I imagine the day on which one will download on her/his personal chip, a library of fragrances to experience limitlessly, according to the present mood without puffing around. Until then I’m embracing these vivid pictures, created by talented reviewers and, occasionally, I’m puffing and sniffing around. All I can say about the selection is that it’s yet another intriguing one, as I haven’t had the chance to try any of these out, yet. Based on the reviews and my 3.22 a.m. mood, my favorites are:
    – ANI by Nishane
    – Trayee by Neela Vermeire Creations
    – Boronia by Grandiflora
    – Le Silage Blanc by Dusita Parfums
    – Rahele by Neela Vermeire Creations
My last hug and a half, from Romania (EU)

  • Great choices. I have heard so much about Ani and Nishane and it sounds like a great fall scent. I also love Adeas De Venustus their Copal Azul is amazing and this new one Pallisandre d’ore also sounds great. Would love to win either one though Ani with it’s elegant vanilla would be my top pick. Thanks for the draw. In the USA.

  • I get the impression from the reviews that woody fragrances are really a hit in the fall, not the wet woody but rather warm woody fragrances that evoke falling trees and warmth of the fall season. My choices are:

    Nishane Ani
    Neela Vermeire Trayee
    Dusita Le Sillage Blanc

    I am in US

  • alexisdavid1892 says:

Oh, how I would love to experience Fall but unfortunately we only have Wet and Dry season here! I haven’t tried any of the mentioned perfumes (limited selection here in the Philippines. They all sounds, or smells, fabulous!) but Nishane ANI intrigues me the most! I don’t have a good vanilla perfume… Thank you for the opportunity! (I’m from the Philippines)

  • Chatillion Lux Biblio really does sound like the ideal autumn scent with its warm lustre of clove, almond and vanilla. Add to that the woody and boozy meanderings of Boronia, and we’ve got ourselves a party! Would absolutely love to win Ani, Le Sillage Blanc or Boronia, but they all sound like excellent unisex options for the fall. Cool weather, here we come! Canada.

  • My to go fragrance for fall is MFK Grand Soir definitely. I would love to own Nishane Ani and Parfums Dusita!!

    From USA in Maryland

  • Yes, yes, yes! It’s time for resins, incense, tobacco and cognac! Thanks for these fabulous fragrance suggestions for sweater weather. If lucky: Le Sillage Blanc, Ani, Boronia, Biblio, Trayee. I’m already a fan of Pallisandre d’Or! USA

  • Sign me up for all of them please! This is a wonderful fall list, as always. I am still enjoying the last warm days of summer (I wore SSS Bee’s Bliss today!), but when the weather turns I’ll be ready for fall comfort scents. Pallisandre d’Or is really nice for fall, I’d have to agree. Ambroise and Aroma de Hormiguero sound absolutely fabulous as well! I’d be happy with any of these. Thank you for the wonderful list! I found a few more that I need to try soon. 🙂 I’m in the USA.

  • Awesome fragrances! Some of my favourites fall fragrances are Dior Homme Parfum and the vintage version of Obsession for men by CK, two amazing gems in the world of perfumery that fit perfectly for this time of year. I would love to win: ANI from Nishane, Le sillage blanc, Rahele. I am in the EU, thanks for the draw.

  • How do you choose from these seven works of art?
I’ve used a small sample of Chatillon Lux Biblio and it is such a crazy photorealistic scent (to my nose).
I would like to get small samples of all of these, just to get a whiff.

    Cheers!

  • smellslikehappiness says:

This is a great line up, it makes me crave fall even more and I look forward to enjoying fall fragrances. Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or or Neela Vermeire Trayee would be my top picks to win. Thanks for the draw, live in the US.

  • I appreciated reading into the great detail that made these fragrances so special for each of you during the comforting weather of the Fall season. And as usual I was drawn to bottles featuring hints of sweetness, as I adore sweet, delectable fragrances. I am interested in Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, ANI, or Grandiflora Boronia.(Commenting from FL, USA).

  • isunnychaudhary says:

I am huge fan of Michelyn’s reviews and she always use powerful words and take you along with herself on the journey.

Grandiflora Boronia attracts me the most for the fall since it has gourmand sort of vibe along with hay, Tobacco and booziness with some resins.

The second one from my favorite Sebastian, Nishane Ani which seems a powerful and strong fragrance and I have fan your flames so I am hoping Ani to be similar since it’s the same house.

If given a chance to win, my seven favourites are:

    1) Grandiflora Boronia
    2) Nishane Ani
    3) Le Sillage Blanc by Dusita
    4) Coeur de Vetiver Sacre
    5) Ambroise by Ormande Jayne
    6) Trayee by Neela Creations
    7) St. Clair scents Frost

  • I finally got a chance to sample Ani and I think Sebastian hit the nail on the head. The fragrance would be perfect for a night out in fall weather. This would be the fragrance I would really like to win. Currently in the United States. Thank you for the opportunity Cafleurebon.

  • I enjoyed reading about these amazing cents. I would love to win any of them, with Nishane ANI topping the list. Cheers, from Oregon, USA!

  • What I loved most about your choices for fall is that it was all encompassing, it highlighted many different fragrances with different notes and structures.

It had variety for not only scent but also for what would suit the different weather types in fall.

If I won , I’d love Nishane ani. Vanilla! Omg.

Le sillage blanc because I love pissaras openness and passion for what she does.

Thank you for the generosity, it should be applauded and commended.

    From Ireland.

  • Fall is my 2nd favorite season, especially for fragrances, as I get to comfortably wear heavier frags (i.e., MFK Grand Soir, fave for Fall). I really enjoyed this Fall list, with its diversity (to a degree), and all….those ….. notes! I live in Waldorf, Maryland, USA. And if I win, I would like these sent to my address there:

    St. Clair Scents Frost
    Nishane Ani
    Grandifloria Boronia

    1.Silage Blanc
    2. Rahele
    3.Trayee
    4. Ani
    5. Grandiflora
    Ana, Romania, EU

  • I’m in the U.S. and am mentally swooning over the description of Chatillon Lux Biblio. Yes! Vanilla, almond, AND caramel with bookish notes? Please count me in for a chance at that one!

  • What a beautiful and varied list from all your editors and contributors. I loved reading how fall can range from floral, to herbal, earthy or smokey, a different “glove” for each. To me, the closest and most satisfying would probably be the forest-y, firey “Frost”. I would be extremely happy to try Nishane “Ani”, Dusita’s “Le sillage blanc” or “Trayee” by Neela Vermeire, from the EU. Thank you!

  • So many good ones it is hard to pick oneI’ll be wearing my Bironia this fall too and also Eau My Soul by 4160 Tuesdays, Foxy by DSH, Origin Story by SHP I could go on and on. From these offered ones I’d looove to win Le Sillage Blanc by Dusita. It is such a wonderful and powerful scent. I am in Germany

  • Love fall, the colors and a more relaxed atmosphere than the hustle and bustle of the summer time. A time for a walk enjoying the color of the trees. My favorite from L’artisan Parfumeur is Timbuktu. Would love to win Neela Vermeire Trayee, Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, Le Silage Blanc by Dusita Parfums

  • Beautiful autumn, it’s magical. The intense and warm color of the leaves, autumn is the season of maturity. The desire for an enveloping and deep perfume is very strong. I think all the fragrances mentioned are perfect. The ones I would like to have are: Le Sillage Blanc, Nishane. TANK YOU

  • Very interesting review of all those “fragrance gods” 🙂 choices for autumn. My personal choice is Tom Ford Velvet Orchid, since i have never tested the ones they chose. Researching a little bit, made me think that this woud be the top of me wishing to win a fragrance proposed by the draw:
    – Nishane Ani
    – Grandiflora Boronia
    – Le Sillage Blanc by Dusita
    – Trayee by Neela Creations

  • I’m ready for the Autumn fragrance wearings.
Picks: 1. Trayee, 2. Pallisandre d’Or, 3. Le Sillage Blanc

  • So much interesting fall fragrances I have to try. Thank you all for sharing your favorite fall scents with us. I had the pleasure of smelling two , and I actually own one. Dana’s choice Coeur de Vetiver Sacre from L’artisan Parfumeur I own , I do 100% agree with her it’s a transitional fragrance. Unlike her I only wear it in the spring. Reminds me of the end of the winter .
I also smelled Le Sillage Blanc Parfums Dusita , and I love it. Green, tobacco and Leather smell .
Fragrances I really want to win are Ani Nishane , Le Sillage Blanc Parfums Dusita and Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or.
What a draw, thank you all. USA

  • I am fascinated by Boronia as I have read that it is highly fragrant so my first choice would be grandiflora. Ani by Nishane as well as Palisandre d’or appeal to me. All of the fragrances sound perfect.
    Living in the US

  • Finally autumn has arrived !!! Days of “pause” and reflection, clothing changes and you find a reassuring routine. Even the perfume you wear changes, becomes “deeper”, less frivolous. Now it’s raining, then i choose ANI by Nishane, and TRAYEE by Neela Vermeire, very suitable for this season.
My fall fragrance is Oud Wood by Tom Ford.
Thank you so much for this opportunity. Mat from Europe

  • Like Michelle, I too have moved my summer florals/fruits/citruses aside and am delving into autumn scents that have long been sitting on the sidelines. I love fall but it is always for me tinged with sadness that the long cold winter is ahead. If selected, I would choose Nishane Ani, I love spicy orientals for fall. Thanks for this chance, I live in the US.

  • Amazing list. I blind purchased Ani based upon several of Sebastian’s glowing reviews. It is every bit as wonderful as he describes. I’d love to win a backup bottle of Ani and what would be my first bottles of Palissandre d’Or, Biblio, and Le Sillage Blanc. I’m in the USA.

  • This fall list makes me want to buy them all I love the way they are explained and that they are unique so happy I found this site. • These reviews made me even more hungry for Autumn. My body is ready!
    I would like to win:
    Aedes de Venustas Palissadre D’Or
    Trayee
or St. Clair Scents – Frost

I am in the US. Thanks so much.

  • A well curated list with some really great autumnal perfumes here. For me, fall is fig time and I pull out my figgy favs until it gets cold enough to move into the warming winter perfumes.

I’m in the Pacific Northwest and my top selections are:

Pallisandre d’Or by Aedes de Venustas (love this one)
    Grandiflora Boronia by Saskia Havekes
    Ambroise by Ormande Jayne
    Trayee by Neela Vermeire

  • Team CaFleureBon what wonderful diverse choices we spritz ourselves with at’ the first sign of a changing leaf. This girl would love the Grandiflora Boronia so much. Blessed Fall, ya’ll! I am in the US.

  • Randomnoisebursts says:

Wow, I haven’t even heard of any of these. I love fall fragrances in general and have been excited to add to my collection. I have been wearing Woodcut by Olympic Orchids. It reminds me of wood fire wafting around the neighborhood during the first cold snap. So many interesting options in the draw, but I might be most interested in:

    Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or
    Neela Vermeire Trayee
    Grandiflora Boronia

    Located in Wa, USA
    Thank you

  • It’s a stressful day today and it was lovely to steal a few minutes and read this article. Thank you! If I could win a bottle St.Clair Scents Frost, Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blanc, or Grandiflora Boronia would be much adored.

  • I absolutely love the Fall. It’s my favorite time of year. I’ve already pulled out some of mine since the weather is starting to get cool by me. And I loved your list of Fall scents, especially Coeur de Vetiver Sacre because of those tea and incense notes.
    I would choose Nishane Ani.

    I live in the USA.

  • I always love these roundups! I was enjoying the last days of summer with St. Clair’s “First Cut” yesterday. I may need to snag a bottle of “Frost” as well.

    I’d love to bring home:
    Aedes “Palisandre d’Or”
    Chatillion Lux “Biblio”
    Nishane “Ani”

I am in the USA. Thanks to you and the lovely vendors for the chances!

  • This is awesome! They all sound amazing. USA here. I would love to win the Nishane Ani, the Chatillon Lux Biblio or the Grandiflora Baronia. I own Hacivat and have always wanted the Ani from Nishane. The Grandiflora sounds intriguing and book reminiscent fragrances are interesting. Commodity Book and Whispers in the Library are two that I own and wear. Thanks for the reviews!

  • squeaky the pin says:

I love reading seasonal lists. I too love Autumn for perfume. I am in the U.K. and we are having a few days of an Indian summer.
I would love to try le Sillage Blanc, Trayee or Rahele if I won. Thank you!

  • If the chatillon lux did not have norlimbalol, this could be my scent. So i am torn between Ani and Trayee. Both would be a great addition to my fragrance wardrobe. I am happy to be wearing my Fall and cold weather scents, but hate the cold weather….
    I live in germany

  • I am in the U.S. and I would love a chance to get my nose on Grandiflora Boronia with its “swirling notes of golden cognac and caramel.” Thanks so much for all the gorgeous reviews and the opportunity to experience such beauty.

  • These all sound delightful! My current favorite fall perfume is Byredo Bibliotheque. I would be happy to try any of these: Trayee, Grandiflora Boronia, Nishane, Rahele, Le Sillage Blanc, Pallisamdre d’Or, Chatillon Lux Biblio ( maybe similar to the Byredo?)

  • Wonderful article with great illustrations, it was a pleasure to read. We had exceptionnally sunny, warm and mild summer, quite unusually here, in Baltic States, so nothing to complain. Besides that, this summer was very fruitful for me – i got to know a lot of new scents and one of the most memorable was Rahele by Neela Vermeire – unordinary rose, dry and a bit leathery, very suitful for the fall/winter season indeed. Otherwise this fall I am planning to wear the new tea collection by Brocard and my good old Cuir Amethyste Armani Privé.

I live in EU and my choices are:
    – Rahele Neela Vermeire,
    – Boronia Grandiflora,
    – Ani Nishane.
    Happy Fall and Good Luck!

  • I love all your picturesque reviews 🙂 It really helps me imagine what these fragrances smell like given the fact that I haven’t had the chance to smell them yet. I would love Nishane – Ani. I live in EU, Romania

  • Forgive me I forgot to mention I am from the UK. All the fragrances mentioned were great Good luck to everybody

  • I was fascinated by Elena’s description of
Aroma de Hormiguero, which I would love to smell. I so like the idea of fragrances that can be earthy and robust rather than just pretty or beautiful. That same quality appeals to me about the description of Diane St. Clair’s Frost.
I would like to win Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, Chatillon Lux Biblio (because I love the description of its paper aspects), or either of the Neela Vermeire creations (because the scents from this house always sound fabulous). I am in the US, in North Carolina.

  • redwheelbarrow says:

I loved reading about all of these fragrances. Summer is definitely my favorite season and each year I’m sad to say goodbye the one thing I look forward to is the fall fragrances. I love the vanillas, woods, and darker side of fragrance. I really don’t know how to choose one I’d like to win but I guess it would be Nishane Ani. I love vanilla, cedar, and ginger and Sebastian always makes everything sound just magical. I’m also interested to try the Chatillon Lux Biblio because I love any scent associated with old books. Thank you for the review and draw. I’m in the US.

  • It was nice to read about warm and smokey fall scents even if it hasn’t quite gotten to fall temperatures yet. A good way to start the transition to cooler weather. I would be happy to win any of the these: Neela Vermeire Rahele, Nishane Ani, Le Sillage Blanc, or Chatillon Lux Biblio. I live in the USA.

  • The evidence for the authors’ great love of heavier, more evocative fragrances for the fall is quite evident. Just reading these descriptions makes me wish the leaves were already falling down in cascades of gold, red, and brown. Although I have not tried any of these, the majority of these favorites sound like quite appropriate seasonal choices. But the description of Pissara Umavijani’s Le Sillage Blanc makes it seem more like a spring-time perfume. The ones that I would like to win would be Palissadre d’Ors, Ani, Trayee, Le Sillage Blanc, or Biblio. Thanks once again! I’m in Oregon, US.

  • Autumn is my absolutely favourite time of year; although it can be a brief season here in NE Canada. I really enjoyed how many of the scent listed celebrate the coziness of fall instead of mourning the demise of summer!
Thank you for the draws. I would love to try:
Neela Vermeire Creations Rahele ( I am addicted to her Mohur)
Nishane Ani ( Balsamic notes are a favourite of mine).

    I live in Canada

  • I think the two that appeal most to me would be Trayee by Neela Vermeire or Nishane Ani. Nearly all of these fall fragrances sound ‘dark’ to me and I don’t know if I could carry them off but the two above sound warm and luscious…just right for fall in the desert. I am in the Desert Southwestern US. Thank you all for such a generous draw.

  • I don’t have personal experience with all 7 fragrance, chosen by Cafleurebon contributors, but I know Nishane well, and do have a sample from Parfums Dusita.
Ani I do not know, but as I said Nishane I do well . I was introduced to this great brand because of a client of mine. I’m a Barber , and one day this guy came into my saloon with the BEST tea fragrance I’ve ever smelled Wulong Cha . Long story short bought a bottle the next day.
Class in a bottle- that’s what Wulong Cha is.
Passion Choco is the second Nishane I got. It’s delicious.
Parfums Dusita Splendiris is a top quality scent. Saw a video on YouTube of Sebastian reviewing it , and got a sample from Luckyscent with my recent purchase. I personally really like it, but you have to like waxy scents to appreciate it.
I’ll go with Sebastian, Despina and Michelyn autumn choices :
    – Ani
    – Le Sillage Blank
    – Boronia
    Thanks for the opportunity.
    USA

  • Trayee, Nishane, Granfloria and Pallisandre d’Or. Oh to smell like fall again. You all paint your favorites so beautifully; the reviews sing. (Not being ham-fisted.) I live in the USA.

  • Lots of great fall scents here — I am particularly fond of L’Artisan (La Chasse aux Papillons is my go-to spring fragrance) and have come incredibly close to purchasing from Neela Vermeire for years now. However, what caught my eye most in this review was Gail’s description of Chatillon Lux Biblio. As an editor married to a professional writer, I adore any and all things book-related! For our wedding, we made flowers out of old hymnal pages from my grandparents’ church and incorporated them into the corsages, boutonnieres, bouquets — pretty much anywhere we could fit that glorious old book smell!
I would be thrilled to win any of the following:
    Chatillon Lux Biblio
    Grandiflora Boronia
    Nishane ANI
    Neela Vermeire Trayee
    Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or

Thank you SO MUCH for this incredibly generous and perfectly timed fall-themed draw! USA

  • I love the variety from the editors and how each person picks something so appropriate for their own personalities. Fall really is my favorite season. I’m slightly embarrassed to admit that they ALL sound delightful, so I’m interested in them in the following order:
    Aedes de Venustas Palissadre d’Or
    Nishane Ani
    Coeur de Vetiver Sacre
    Grandiflora Boronia
    Ambroise
    Chatillon Lux Bilbio
    Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee
    Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blanc
    St. Clair Scents Frost
I live in the USA. Thanks!

  • I enjoyed reading about your fall preferences. For me, autumn is time to wear warm vanilla and resins.
    My selection is:
    Le Sillage Blanc Dusita
    Nishane ANI
    Grandiflora Boronia
    Rahele
    Thank you from Romania.

  • My favourite scents for fall are The Dark Side by Francesca Bianchi, Dior Homme Intense, Slowdive from Hiram Green and a couple of other scents.

From your list that one I’ve been trying to get is Ani From Nishane as usually I love scents created by Cecile Z.
I’ve also been trying to sample St. Clairs Frost.

I live in France. Thanks for the draw.

  • Lovely fragrances mentioned in this article. Especially Le Sillage Blanc and Rahele. These are also the ones I would love to win.My favorite fall fragrance is MCG Luberon at the moment. I’m in EU. Thank you for this lovely draw.

  • Great fall fragrance choices. They all sound wonderful and it was such a nice write up.
I’ll love to try Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, Neela Vermeire Rahele and Ani by Nishane.
    I live in USA

  • I love fall and fall scents!
I also just rearranged my perfumes and pulled out my fall and winter fragrances to the front.
It was great to read about your favorites!
I would love to try, and possibly win ;), Le Sillage Blanc Parfums Dusita.
I already love (and own) Splendiris and am eager to try all of Pissara’s wonderful creations. I live in the Netherlands.

  • Ida’s choice of Trayee and Despina’s Le Sillage Blanc are my favourites! Me personally I’d love some classic chypres like Mitsouko in autumn.
Thank you for the draw! I’d love to win Neela Vermeire Trayee or Dusita Le Sillage Blanc. I live in France.

  • I liked all of them based on the reviews!!
I have heard really good things about Trayee. Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or would be my next choice. I live in the US. Thank you for the draw.

  • From all the perfumes mentioned I only know Coeur de Vetiver since I tested it once and it smelled to me as a very authentic vetiver, strong and dry. The others I do not know at all, but Nishane Ani made me curious so I cannot wait to test it.

    I am from EU

  • Great reviews!
I would love to win Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’ Or, Grandiflora Boronia, Nishane Ani, Neela Vermeire Rahele, or Chatillon Lux Biblio. The last one sounds especially interesting.
    USA

  • Le Sillage Blanc sounds right up my alley with the vintage nuances. Also, the part about walking in a forest after a rain really caught my imagination, therefore if I were to win I would choose Le Sillage Blanc.

    I am in EU. Thanks!

  • Each of these are incredibly beautiful and autumn fragrances from the description. My choices would be Nishane Ani, Neela Trayee, grandiflora Boronia and Dusita le sillage Blanc. USA

  • Wow! It’s fall already! Love all of the articles and would be so happy to win a new fall fragrance. Thank you. USA
    Grandiflora boronia
    Trayee
    Ani
    Rahele

My favorite Fall fragrance is Le Labo Mousse de Chene, Dusita Le Sillage Blanc and Patchouli Intense Nicolai Parfumeur Createur. Editors choices sound great & I would love to win a bottle of:
    1. Dusita Le Sillage Blanc ( as a backup bottle)
    2. Grandiflora Boronia
    3. Nishane Ani
    Love from Pakistan

  • It’s rainy but still warm Chicago today and it is dreary. This post perked me up a lot because I can’t wait for fall!
My favorite fall fragrance is tabac blond but I don’t have any left. Time for something new
I would love to try the Palisandre d’Or, Nishane Ani and am interested in Boronia too

  • Christopher Carr says:

This is such a superb list. I live in the states. I love to wear Tabacco fragrances this time of year. I would like to added to win aedes or ani. Thanks so much. Have a great day.

  • I love reading the varied tastes of your writers. My top choices from this list would be Dusita’s Sillage Blanc or Neela Vermeire. I haven’t yet tried the others, but I’m curious about the Chattilon Lux Biblio. Thank you for the post and the draws.

  • These sound like great Fall fragrances. Haven’t got the chance to try any of them. This year Fall from my tiny collection I’m looking forward to wearing Amber Absolutely, Makan Blend and a couple of Dior. Thank You for this giveaway, Ca

I’d like to go with Nishane Ani.

  • This reminds me of how I am going to miss fall in Ohio now that I live in TN. Many of these fragrances are perfect for taking me back home to a gorgeous fall day. Thank you for the draw. From USA.
I would love any of the following:

100 ml of Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or
    50 ml of Grandiflora Boronia
    Nishane 50 ml of ANI
    60ml Trayee
50 ml of Le Sillage Blanc

  • I loved these articles and how they described the fragrance as elements of nature or a environment. My heart is set most on Aedes de Venustas Palissadre d’Or by far. My second choice would be se sillage balance and my third would be chatillion lux biblio ! I live in the USA, ms. Again I appreciate all the work and art put into both the article and perfumery.

  • I thought the span of the choices was really interesting. I long for Fall, which hasn’t gotten to me yet. The slightest crisp in the air makes me really happy. I’d love to win:
    Neela Vermeire-Trayee
Aedes de Venustas- Pallinsandre d’ Or
    Nishane-Ani
    Chatillon- Lux Biblio
    Dusita-Le Sillage Blanc
Thanks for this wonderful draw. I’m in the USA

  • Le Sillage Blanc is the one I should probably explore this autumn. It didn’t do much for me in the summer heat but as tehe days get colder, its floral notes might come out to play. I’ve been wearing my new favouritefor the last few weeks, it’s Jean Patou Colony : it’s a cheerful pineapple-based chypre. Another one I see myself wearing quite often is Parfums Dusita Erawan: for some reason it strikes me as melancholic which is perfect for rainy days.

I’d love to win any of these:
    Worldwide: Nishane, ANI
Worldwide: Parfums Dusita, Le Sillage Blanc
    Worldwide: Grandiflora Boronia

Thank you for the fantastic draw. I live in Russia

  • I really appreciate your fall fragrance list. I would personally add Russian Leather by Memo to it. But I would love to win a bottle of Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, the Nishane Ani or the bottle of Grandiflora Boronia. My top pick would definitely be the Grandiflora since they don’t ship worldwide, and I’m not planning a trip to Australia anytime soon. I’m located in the USA.

  • Wow! Great suggestions! They all sound amazing! If I were lucky enough to win, I would choose Ani by Nishane. Im a huge fan of Sebastion’ YouTube channel and he hasn’t steered me wrong yet. I’m located in the United States. Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  • These are amazing choices! Fall where I live gets cold and rainy very quickly, so I always look for strong fragrances that make me feel cozy and warm. Rochas Man, Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, and Bvlgari Black are some of my favorites, but some of the favorites listed here sound like they would fit the bill perfectly too! I am in the US, and if I win, my choices would be in this order:
    -Neela Vermeire Trayee
    -Nishane Ani
    -Grandiflora Boronia
    -Chatillon Lux Biblio

    Thank you for the chance!

  • My favorite fall fragrance is L’Artisan Parfumeur Timbuktu. I loved the section about Chatillon Lux Biblio. That sounds like the perfect way to spend a rainy fall evening. And thank you for bringing Grandiflora Boronia to my attention, I never would have considered it as a fall fragrance but now I am intrigued.
    My choices would be:
    -Grandiflora Boronia
    -Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blanc
    -Nishane Ani
    -Neela Vermeire Creations Rahele

    I’m in Canada
    Happy Fall/Autumn everyone!

  • Michael Prince says:

I love this fall fragrance list compilation. I have heard a lot of positive reviews about Nishane Ani so that would probably be my first pick. I would like to win Nishane Ani, Grandiflora Boronia, Ermano Rahele, Ermano Trayee, Dusita Le Sillage Blanc, Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or, and Chatillon Lux Biblio. I am from the USA.

  • These have all gone on my “must sample” list! Fall is my favorite season and I love changing over to my warmer/deeper scents. I’d love to win any of these & I’m in the US.

  • Still warm in California. Looking forward to cooler weather… To that chill in the evening air and the scent/sound of fallen leaves under foot.

I’d be thrilled with either of the Neela Vermeire scents. Or the Dusita Le Sillage Blanc.

    Thanks!

  • I come on Ca Fleure Bon for the perfect mix of poetry and factual information and your articles never disappoint! Here in The Netherlands the leaves have started to fall, the mornings are already crispy and the swimming pool days are just a memory. A perfect time for Le Sillage Blanc, Ani and Trayee or Rahele…

I live in The Netherlands, EU

  • Nice list of fragrances, great choices! I totally agree with Dana Sandu, the vetiver by l’Artisan is perfect for this wonderful season. I also think that this fragrance is a real undervalued gem.

Nishane Ani; Dusita Sillage Blanc or Neela Vermeire Trayee
    I am in EU
    Thanks!

    Diane St. Clair’s
Thanks for the AWESOME FALL DRAW!!! I live in USA.

  • First time i’ve heard Parfums Dusita and Nishane was on Sebastian YouTube channel, and then here on Cafleurebon.
A few months ago he did beautiful interview with Pissara on his channel , and i decided it’s time to buy the discovery set.
Completely agree with Despina about Le Sillage Blank.
Fan Your Flames is sensational . Deep . rich , potent . Over 14 hours of longevity , with at least 5 1/2 hours of sillage and projection . Ani is made by Nishane , created by Cecile Zarokian i want it badly …
I’m curious about Grandiflora Boronia for a long time. Fantastic description by Michelyn.
Le Sillage Blank, Ani and Boronia I’ll be happy to own.
Of the the best draws lately – no wonder so many subscribers are entering .
Back and forth between USA and Scotland (EU/UK) 1 week in US
-> 1 week in Scotland , and so on. Basically both USA and EU/UK at the same time.

  • Sebastian raves about Nishane Ani so that would be a good one to try. Dusita Le Sillage Blanc is also very tempting. VA, USA.

  • I’d love to have Ani from Nishane would love to smell more of Cecile Zarokian’s work and the Chatillon Lux because of that beautiful papyrus accord <3 Based in NYC.

  • Nishane Ani , Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blank and Grandiflora Boronia are the three most appealing to me.
Nishane is a house I love . As a Pastry Chef, and a gourmand lover Passion Choco is a must have for me. Hacivat I own too – no it’s not Aventus clone , it’s MUCH better.
I do have plans of getting Wulong Cha bottle.
    Ani ?
If there’s vanilla, resins, top performance and black currant I’m in.
“Saskia Havekes, the creative director of Grandiflora has bottled her youth in this intensely intoxicating chypre fragrance with gourmand nuances that balance warm resins, smoky tea and a soft tobacco with rich swirling notes of golden cognac and caramel that waft around me like a light autumn breeze.”
Wow … nothing more to say.
I’m not familiar with Parfums Dusita, but Leather, tobacco with big blast of greenness I do appreciate.
Appreciate all reviews , and the giveaway campaign. USA

  • I knew that ANI by Nishane would appear here.I had the possibility to test it and it is really cosy, sweet and long lasting.Perfect for autumn.I would love to win; Ani Nishane, Boroni Gandiflora, Rahele N.Vermeire.I live in Poland(EU)

  • m.r.everything says:

WOW! This is a PHENOMENAL fall line-up! This took me a while to get through because I had to read everyone’s favorites several times…. I have done research on almost every one of these fragrances, either here within the past couple of weeks, or within the last year! Thank you, first and foremost, to EVERYONE at CaFleureBon and EVERY one of these super generous houses! It would be an honor to win any one of these fragrances…

I was looking in to Ani by Nishane just recently due to a recommendation from a friend… then Sebastian came out with his video on it a few days later! It is definitely on my want list!

I read an article a few months back about Biblio and fell in love with the story. Gail is making me relive the first story I read a hwile back and making me want the bottle all over again! Now I am kicking myself! I never got around to getting a bottle. I wish I had before it sold out, but Lamplight Penance is still available and I have been really intrigued by that one as well!

The whole line from Aedes de Venustas has been on my radar for quite some time! I have heard MANY great things from many trusted fragrant friends! A few things from this brand will be in my collection, and soon! A few may even be blind bought!

One of my favorite perfumers, besides Sarah McCartney of course, is Bertrand Duchaufour, so this list excites me more than you think! That is the whole reason I discovered and have had an interest in the Neela Vermeire line. Both Rahele and Trayee are tops for me to get ahold of. I love reading everything from Ida…. she makes me want Trayee even more! Your words are so beautiful. All of you guys have me in a trance when I am reading your articles and pieces of work! I feel like I am wherever I am reading about!

L’Artisan Parfumeur is a superb brand with great history. I have not found too many things I don’t like from them. Team them up with Nick Steward?!? I did not even know that he collaborated on a fragrance with the brand… that really intrigues me, especially after his very successful Gallivant line! After reading the notes, I want it, haha!

I have just started to dive into the world of Ormonde Jayne… I am really enjoying what I have been sampling! Same with Parfums Dusita…. really enjoying a few samples I have and I can see a bottle or two in my future! I have a sample of Grandiflora Boronia and I am so glad Michelyn mentioned it in this article. I love Boronia and honestly, I put it in my sample pile and it kind of got lost in the crowd. I still have it on my DEFINITE list, but have not yet made it around to getting it. (That list is also 9 pages long in Excel, lol)!

I am so sorry this was such a long post! I LOVE Fall! It is my favorite time of year! I have 265 full bottles, and I would say that 3/4 of them are Fall or Winter fragrances! This was an exciting article for me and I truly enjoyed reading about every single one of these fragrances! Even if there was no draw, this was one hell of a read, for me anyway! Thank you again to all of you! I live in Delaware, US! Happy Fall to you all!

  • Dana’s description of Coer de Vetiver Sucre, although short, captured the feeling of autumn. It feels distinct. Kind of comfortable, has some warmth but it’s also cooling down. Colorful and gets darker.
Though of the fragrances, Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or sounded the most appealing. So that’s my top pick if I win, though I’d be happy with any of them.
Im in IL in the US. Thanks for the draw

  • Michelyn Camen says:

Dear m.r. everything: Nick Steward is the former creative director of L’Artisan parfumeur. You can click on the link to read about it! He left to start Gallivant and is no longer involved with the brand

  • I love your selection, simply because I never tried anyone of them! More great perfume to add to my list of scents to be tested 😉

    – Nishane ANI
    – Grandiflora Boronia
    – Trayee
    – Le Sillage Blanc

    Living in Germany, EU

  • I agree with Ida that autumn is a good time for reflection. Maybe even for symbolism. That is why, after reading about Ida’s choice, I was intrigued by Trayee as a Duchaufour tribute (or interptetation) to India’s vedic era – floral, smoky and melancholic scent.
For me fall is the best time for wearing fragrances!
I am from Poland and it would be amazing to win:
    – ANI,
    – Boronia,
    – Trayee
    – Rahele
    – Le Sillage Blanc.
    Thanks!

  • A generous friend, who visited Pitti 2017, sent me a sample set of Grandiflora fragrances after the exhibition, so I got an opportunity to try them all.
Boronia was the brand new perfume then. I like all the Grandiflora perfumes, but Boronia is one of my favorites, therefore, I understand Michelyn’s choice.
Neela Vermeire Creations’ Rahele is a gorgeous fragrance for the fall, but I wore it last summer, too. Certainly, I will continue to wear it the following season. Ermano published an excellent article on Rahele, and I am glad that he recognizes this exceptional perfume.
Trayee is Ida’s magnificent choice. One of my favorite perfumes at all, one of those I spent till the last drop.
Le Sillage Blanc is another great pick, this time Despina’s. It was a very nice feeling to wear it.
My fall fragrances will be Rahele, Timbuktu, Dzongkha, Tian Di, New York Man, Woodcut, Erdenstern, Precious Woods, Amber Tapestry, Naja, Mitsouko, and many others.
I am in the EU, Croatia and would love to win Le Sillage Blanc or Trayee. Thank you.

  • Thank you for the reviews and the giveaways. These fragrances all sound superb for fall. I’d be most interested in:-
    1. Nishane Ani based on Sebastian’s review
    2. Grandiflora Boronia
    3. Aedes de Venustas Pallisandre d’Or
    4. Chatillon Lux Biblio
    I’m in USA

  • Wonderful draw! Autumn is a part of year when I need perfumes the most to help me to get through the cold grey times. Your choice for fall is awesome. Would love to win almost everything but my favorites are Trayee, Rahele and Sillage Blanc. I live in the EU.

  • Oh.. like use perfumes in fall, because I can still continue use summer fresh fragrances, but can began use the bi part of collection. and weather is ideal- not hot, and not so cold. I like description of Neela Vermeire Creations Rahele.- leathery chypre- all my favorite perfume groups in one.
And, of course, Ani by Nishane- green, soft vanillic beautiful perfume.
But I would like to win Neela Vermeire Creations Trayee, Aedes de Venustas Palisandre and Boronia Grandiflora.
    USA
    USA

  • All descriptions are beautiful, but I would pick Ani, Grandiflora, Pallisander and Trayee up. Ani is beautiful and soft, Grandiflora is complex tobacco-floral perfume, Polissandre- well made woody- patchouli perfume.
And I hope I will win one of this: Neela Trayee or Rahelle, Boronia Grandiflora or Aedes Pallisandre.

  • Beautiful thing to read.
Fragrances I’d like to win :
    1. Le Sillage Blank by Parfums Dusita. Why?
I have smelled all Parfums Dusita fragrances, and I have to say this brand is unique. Unlike a lot of other brands popping up lately , who just want to jump on the bandwagon, Pissara creations represent her , her vision of the world and do not follow trends! Le Sillage Blank I’ll gladly wear with a suit, has a formal vibe, and leans masculine, especially the dry down.
Erawan i own. It’s really unique kind of smell.
    2. Ani by Nishane. Why?
To me Nishane is one the best,if not the best perfume house that came in the past 5-6 years-HUGE FAN.Everything about Nishane is top notch-great presentation, nice bottles, quality ingredients, good longevity, sillage and projection-fantastic….10/10.
Unfortunately i was not able to go to Esxence this year, so i can’t share my thoughts about Ani, but according to Sebastian’s review..should be a great one-combination of notes is fantastic , and the usual for the brand top performance .
Bottles of Fan Your Flames and Pasion Choco i own.
    3. Palissandre d’Or by Aedes de Venustas. Why?
Iris Nazarena simple as that. Bought it because of Carlos from BFL and his review , but that’s the only Aedes de Venustas i’ve smelled up until now. Lovely and highly underrated iris scent. Sadly i was told it’s discontinued , rumor i can’t confirm.
    4. Boronia by Grandiflora. Why?
Because it’s beautiful , I just love boozy, tobacco floral aspects of it.
    Thanks

  • I’m always looking forward to cafleurebon’s seasonal recommendations, even though i don’t always follow a strict rule with perfumes. It’s wonderful to read each contributor’s personal story behind their choices.
I usually enjoy vetiver, woods, warm, gourmand notes in the fall. The recommedations are wonderful and I already put a few on my wishlist.
    My choices are:
    Grandiflora Boronia,
    Ani Nishane,
    Rahele Neela Vermeire
    Le Sillage Blanc Dusita

Thank you for a very generous draw !

Michelyn…. I feel like an idiot! I did know that the name of the gentleman who was the creative director for L’artisan was Nick Steward, but I guess I never put those 2 together! Duh, that’s a totally embarrassing moment! Thank you, I just checked out the article after clicking on his name…. I appreciate the info!

  • Some lovely choices, and lively reviews we have here .
    In no particular order :
    1) Nishane Ani
My hubby owns Fan Your Flames , but I do wear it too. I like loud , and punching fragrance, but Fan Your Flames is strong-strong. Fills up a room if you do 3 or more sprays. As much as I love it , I need to be careful. All Nishane I have smelled perform really well , and to me that’s big time plus. On top of all basically everyone are super impressed by Ani , all reviews are positive. I was to know if the hype is real.
    2) Grandiflora Boronia
Combination of resins, tobacco cognac and Boronia is intriguing.
    3) Parfums Dusita Le Sillage Blank
Sounds like a calming fragrance, plus the two Parfums Dusita I have smelled are top quality Erawan and the new Splendiris .
Thank you all for the hard work , and of course the nice opportunity.
