Best French Autumn Perfumes 2021

Autumn in Paris seems a promise of being back to an almost-normal life. At least it seems so. It is my favorite season: the golden tree leaves, the sharp evening light and the delicious comfort food scents that appeal to my senses. No surprise I always fall for bold fragrances that will warm me up as well. Last November, while France was going through its second lockdown, I discovered Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne, a tuberose fragrance created by the brilliant Cécile Zarokian. Being a huge fan of  both perfumer and tuberose,  I immediately ordered a sample and, of course, it was love at first sniff.  Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne is a provocative tuberose, with spicy facets of pink pepper and cumin, both dark and luminous that plunges me into the heat of the night. Mis en scene: A 1920s American speakeasy where the curls of cigarette smoke mingle with the scent of lipstick on the crystal goblets and the clinking of  liquor bottles grabbed by shadowed bartenders. Over time the tuberose takes on even more breadth, a bit animalic,  and is rounded by creamy sandalwood. It is delightfully decadent and sultry, yet intensely elegant and captivating. So Cécile Zarokian! And so easy to fall for… Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne is my latest purchase at Jovoy Paris, and from now on one of my signature scents!

Notes: gin accord, pink pepperorange, smoke, sandalwood, powdery notes, tuberosetobacco, cumin, animalic notes.

Neil Morris of Neil Morris Fragrances’ creations have always struck an emotional chord in me. Be it the Prozac-replacement Zephyr, the spicy, fruity Me, the spectral Vision in Black or the sun-drenched Seaflower, I’ve gladly joined the journey. Last fall, Michelyn wonderfully co-conspired with Neil to bestow upon me a magnificent gift: a bespoke Neil Morris fragrance to celebrate the premiere of HBO’s “The Undoing” (I played Detective O’Rourke). The fragrance, Primal Oudh, formed an olfactive backdrop to a joyful chapter of my life. Both the gesture—and the composition—touched my heart. Inspired by the mysterious complexity of “The Undoing” (in which everyone is a suspect), Primal Oudh presents darkness upon darkness: birch tar, oudh, Indian frankincense, leather and castoreum contrast with notes of sweet, creamy coffee and tonka bean. The result is drop-dead gorgeous and honestly, too good to keep to myself. While I covet my exclusive bottle, I urged Neil to share it with the world. This sumptuous, gothic elixir is now available to all! In yet another kind-hearted gesture, Neil has renamed Primal Oudh to … Oudh Devine. Bogue Profumi MEM (Antonio Gardoni): The approach of fall brings melancholy; summer’s languor gives way to seriousness; faces in the street become preoccupied, and my wardrobe gets maddeningly sensible. My antidote is wearing a fragrance that is all-out gorgeous, sexy as sin, and just a tiny bit bonkers. And that, my friends, is Bogue Profumi MEM. Perfumer Antonio Gardoni uses a crazy amount of lavender — four different versions, no less — and combines them with a voluptuous ooze of linden syrup and cherry pipe tobacco for one of the most unusual, sexy, delicious, lavender scents on the market. Now, excuse me while I slip into opera gloves and tiara and head to the office.  Notes: Petitgrain, mandarin, grapefruit, lavender (4 different species), ylang ylang, lily of the valley, white champaca, jasmine grandiflorum, rose damascena, bourbon geranium, vanilla, peppermint, laurel, Siam benzoin, rosewood, sandalwood, Himalayan cedarwood, labdanum, ambergris, musk, castoreum, civet, amber Lauryn Beer, Senior Editor

L'Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica review

L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica by Despina Veneti©

L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica (Quentin Bisch): In addition to his knack for delivering highly conceptualized creations, perfumer Quentin Bisch often includes surprising twists to his fragrances. In the case of L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica, he signs an unexpected olfactive carte postale of the eponymous French island while proposing an utterly sophisticated (yet no less delicious) gourmand scent. Its name may suggest cologne-like freshness; however, the fragrance is an ideal autumnal choice, hued in deep orange and caramel tones. The mandarin is indeed the star, albeit in its candied state (inspired by the perfumer’s memories of clémentines confites). Just like the actual Corsican confection reveals its soft, syrupy fruit flesh under a caramelized exterior, the fragrance’s mandarin note smells coated in burnt sugar with emerging nuances of aromatic zest and juicy pulp. The brilliant addition of immortelle (an emblematic Mediterranean plant), as well as the combination of warming tonka bean and sweet spices, add a natural vibe to the caramel note while providing that balmy feeling of still lingering Indian summer. Notes: Mandarin, Bitter Orange, Immortelle, Orange Blossom, Jasmine, Caramel, Tonka Bean, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Sandalwood. Despina Veneti, Senior Editor

Safran Rare by Amoroud is one of the best autumn perfumes 2021

Photo of Amouroud Safran Rare by Olya Bar©

The golden season is finally upon us, and New York offers a kaleidoscope of autumn colors when it’s dressed in shades of copper, gold, and mocha. I cannot wait to wrap myself with cozy cashmere, indulge in a delicious old-fashioned cocktail, and finally wear the spicy, woodsy fragrances I tend to put away in the summer. In that smooth transition between suffocating humidity and an anticipated breath of refreshing fall weather, I often reach for Safran Rare by Amoroud, composed by Claude Dir. It creates an inevitable bridge between the end of summer and the fast-approaching romantic melancholy of fall; with sparkling bergamot and freesia, it slowly morphs into the heart of saffron, incense smoked rose, and the resinous warmth of oud, creamy sandalwood, and warm vanilla. The depth of Safran Rare rests quietly inside the timid, purple Crocus Flower, a flower that blooms for a few short days. Its rich red and fragrant stigmata are hidden inside, three per flower. Carefully harvested by hand, they are sun-dried to concentrate their precious, unusual, silken aroma. Its unique aroma is carefully preserved and celebrated in this composition. Is it the only fragrance I will wear in the fall? Of course not, but its sure marks the beginning of my favorite time of the year. Notes: Bergamot, Geranium, Freesia, Olibanum, Saffron, Rose de Mai, Jasmine, Cedar, Oud, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Vetiver, Vanilla.

What are the best autumn fragrances 2021

Photo of Autumn leaves NYC by Steven©

Strangelove Meltmyheart (Christophe Laudamiel) is a fall coat of many colors. Each note begins by dancing a solo performance, like a separate leaf swirling in the air before settling to the earth. Akin to an autumn day, Meltmyheart begins hopefully with glowing mandarin. The last blooms of summer –jasmine, magnolia and rose give way to deeper hues of ginger and dusty cocoa. Creamy sandalwood and buttery orris comfort me before calling it a night when Strangelove Meltmyheart wraps me in its sensual oud embrace that lingers until dawn. After over a year of social distancing, this autumn shows promise that my heart might melt again- Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

    Hello,

I love heavier/gourmandy citrus fragrances in the fall.

I’d like to enter the draw for Mandarina Corsica. I live in the US.

    Thanks.

  • These selections are even better than part 1 IMO! A decadent sultry tuberose is just what I need so I’d love to win Cabaret Nocturnal. I’m also dying to try Bogues Mem.
Thank you and happy fall! In US.

  • As always interesting selection of niche perfumes. Meltmyhearth by Strangelove NYC as well as Cabaret Nocturne by Visiteur sound great and I would be happy to win one of those. I am based in EU.

  • I love the diversity of the writers, as well as, the fragrances for the Fall. Please enter me in the draw for Mandarina Corsica and Oud Devine (not sure if this one is a giveaway, but as a Vet, I love and support what this house is doing). USA

  • I am lucky to live in the middle lane, where the change of seasons is very well traced. I like early autumn, when the still green grass is combined with the already bright shades of yellowed maple leaves. It is very beautiful and poetic. And I absolutely agree with the author that these days there is a need to wear some kind of warm, spicy, gourmand and warming boozy perfumes. And although I tried only one fragrance from this magnificent selection (Mandarina Corsica), judging by the notes, all these perfumes fit fall season perfectly and I would like to especially try and win either Meltmyheart, or Cabernet Nocturne, or Oudh Devine.
    Location: Wisbech, UK.

  • I have not tried anything from strangelove, but meltmyheart sounds spectacular!
Please count me in for that one! I am based in the EU

  • Autumnal fragrances are my favorites. I was surprised that there were a couple of mandarin fragrances in here. They all sound lovely. I would love to win any of them, Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne, Neil Morris Oudh Devine, L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica, or STrangelove Meltmyheart. I am in the US.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

I like to win Cabernet Nocturne because I am curious abbout touberose.
    Intristing are
    Mandarina Corsica
    and Safra Rare by Amoroud
I am from Eu Bucharest Romania Europe

  • If I were lucky enough to win I’d pick Mandarina Corsica first. It sounds lovely. Thanks again for the opportunity! From Indianapolis.

  • Cabaret Nocturne for me, please! I like the name, I like the bottle, I like the ingredients, I like that it’s made by Cecile Zarokian.
Too many likes that I am sure that will morph into a big, single love.
Thanks and good luck to everyone!
    Europe

  • Interesting selection of fascinating fragrances. I know Mandarina Corsica, and would never have thought to try it in autumn so far #AV… but will do on my next visit to a perfumery.

    Like to win: Oudh Devine

    Living in Germany, EU

  • These are some fragrances I have wanted to try for a while, after reading reviews of them or similar creations by these brands/perfumers, on Cafleurebon. They all sound lovely. Winning any of them would be awesome. If I had to choose, L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica would be first choice, followed by Strangelove Meltmyheart, Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne, Neil Morris Oudh Devine in that order.
    I am in the US.

  • Part 2 pushes even more into full-on autumn! The focus on summer lingering into then giving way to fall and all those new scents and flavors makes me ready for the season. I’d love to try either Mandarina Corsica or MeltMyHeart first, then Cabaret Nocturne or Oudh Devine. NC USA Thanks for the draw!

  • Today’s fragrance choices seem heavy on the tobacco and oriental notes. I can imagine how the fall season can feel melancholic to some while there are places where life seems to be back to normal such as in Paris. My choice is Meltmyheart. I am in US.

  • The second part has even more interesting picks compared to the first one. I am very very intrigued by Oudh Devine and I’m looking forward to reading more impressions about this fragrance once it becomes available to everyone. MEM is on my wish list for a long time. I’m from Illinois US and I my firs pick is for sure Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne. Then Strange Love NYC – Meltmyheart (second pick) and L’Artisan Parfumeur – Mandarina Corsica (third pick).

  • As I said yesterday, fall is my favorite season and I tend to love fragrances suited to it. And, like yesterday, we’re having unusually perfect fall weather here today to match these wonderful-sounding fragrances. I’d love to win the Oudh Devine, the Mandarina Corsica, or the Melt My Heart. I’m in Oklahoma, USA. Thanks, as always, for the generous draws!

  • Thank you for even more gorgeous fall scents! I can’t wait to experience fall weather and, if I’m lucky, one of these amazing bottles! SilencetheSea from Strange Love NYC is one of my “darlings” – one of my “just for me” Art fragrances made of memories & dreams. I would be so so so thrilled to experience MeltmyHeart (I believe it will be glorious). One of us will be the lucky winner! All of these perfumes sound fantastic & would be thrilled with any. Thank you for the opportunity! ❤️ USA

  • I would love to be entered for all 4 of these beauties. I love the decent into Fall (my favorite time of year). The scents are so comforting and enticing. Each of these scents sound like they take a different approach to the cooler seasons, but with artistry and heart. In maryland.

  • Interesting autumn selection.
Melt My Heart sounds incredible, unfortunately i live in Mexico and I can’t participate for it, but cabaret norturne also sounds great. (btw you wrote ir Cabernet).
    Regards from Mexico.

  • This is a wonderful series, Michelyn! All the perfumes sound terrific! And thank you, Michael, for your great review of Oudh Devine! It’s so nice of you to want to share it with the world. I hope the person who wins the bottle enjoys it!

  • Autumn is a great season for fragrance. I feel I can go all out with my collection and spray, layer and test to my heart’s content without causing too many frowns from my partner haha!

Another selection of great scents! I’d love to have all of them, but the one I would love to try the most is Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne.

    Greetings from the UK!

  • These reviews really get me excited to welcome autumn, even though my city hasn’t yet changed temperature much! I live in the USA and would like to win Strange Love meltmyheart (I tried fallintostars and lostinflowers and was pretty moved by how transporting and well crafted they were)
or Mandarina Corsica (I love a gourmand in fall too, especially an orange candy one. Very fitting for october)

  • I just love these “best X perfumes” series. One can be sure of finding the most updates and quality info, explained and motivated in a competent and exhaustive way. And it gives many great ideas to try out during the coming period.
I would love to win Cabaret Nocturne – the provocative tuberose with cumin sounds great, or Mandarina Corsica – candied, caramelized mandarine that is just perfect for autumn really makes me curious!
    I am in the EU!
    Thanks!

  • I enjoyed hearing the different voices that spoke of the perfumes on this list. The perfumes are new to me, and they sound intriguing, interesting, and perfect for fall. I would love to win,
    Meltmyheart
    Mandarina Corsica
    Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne
    I live in Springdale, Arkansas.

  • Autumn does seem like a new start. School’s new. New seasonal clothes come out and we all seem to feel like it’s time to get things in order. These reviews remind me that it’s time to break out some favorite or new fragrances as well. Thanks for the beautiful descriptions of them all. My choices are:

    1) Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne
    2) strangelove meltmyheart
    3) L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
    In the USA.

  • Love to see Mandarina Corsica on this list! It’s light enough to feel perfectly wearable in the heat but it’s crystallized glowing candied orange slice scent is most at home in the fall and winter. The burnt caramel, pancake-syrup like immortelle, sprinkle of baking spices, and cologney tonka are a perfect match for sweater weather. Would love to win a bottle. I’m in the US. Thank you! 🙂

  • Lauryn Beer‘s review of Bogue Profumi MEM was most amusing and the fragrance is one I would love to try. I’m not sure it is part of the giveaway though. I would also like to enter the contest for Mandarina Corsica and Meltmyheart. I am in Indiana, USA.

  • All fragrances mentioned sound perfect for fall. Thanks for your recommendations. If lucky, I’d choose Caberet Nocturne, Mandarina Corsica, Meltmyheart. Thanks for another fabulous draw! Mich USA

  • Between the photos and descriptions I am really excited!
I would like meltmyheart, Oudh Devine (read his last piece about 9/11 it was so touching) or Mandarina corsico
    Excellent from everybody
    Thanks for the chance

  • I always love to read people’s choices for fall scents and the fact that Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne is now one of Emanuelle’s signature scents immediately intrigued me since I’ve never even heard of this brand. I’d love to try this one and Meltmyheart is another favorite of mine that I’d love to own! My husband would probably love Oud Devine. Thank you, US

  • I like that this list open my eyes on some fragrances I would have never been interested to try for all. Mandarina Corsica is a typical example; I was going to skip it, thinking it was a citrus-fresh-summery type scent, until I read Despina’s mouthwatering description. Now i’m really intrigued ! I’d love to win Mandarina Corsica or Meltmyheart.
I’m located in Romania (EU). Thank you!

  • I’m so pleased I came across ÇaFleureBon because I discover new brands I didn’t know before. Thank you for the reviews! I would be very happy with any of these perfumes mentioned above. They all sound very interesting and intriguing. If I have to choose: Mandarina Corsica L’Artisan Parfumeur sounds wonderful, Safran Rare Amouroud also, MEM Bogue. I do enjoy the tuberose, so paired with animalic notes – sounds interesting and I would be interested to smell Cabaret Nocturne V/SITEUR. Many thanks.
    UK

  • I enjoyed reading about all of these perfumes. I love the dedication of the Neil Morris Oud Devine. I heard about Visiteur Caberet Nocturne just earlier today and now a 2nd time and it sounds wonderful as does Melt My Heart which I’ve wanted to try since first seeing it here. If I was to win id choose:

    Strangelove Melt My Heart
    Visiteur Caberet Nocturne

Thanks for the generous draw as always. From CT USA

  • Wonderful fragrances and wonderful draw! This year’s end of summer is much colder than other years and I start to wear ambery scents earlier. From your reviews I liked the most the descriptions of MeltMyHeart and Mandarina Corsica.

I live in the EU and would like to win:
    – meltmyheart strangelove,
    – Mandarina Corsica L’atelier parfumeur,
    – Cabaret Nocturne V/siteur,
    – Oudh Devine Neil Morris.
    Thank you!

  • About the autumn i love the colours , the afternoon sun and the dense, warm fragrance i can wear ,i’m curious about Visiteur Caberet Nocturne, Mandarina Corsica and Meltmyheart, thanks from EU!

  • The notes in L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica are absolutely delicious! Please count me in for that one and good luck to everyone!
Thank you! I am in Europe

  • I’m excited about the cocoa note in meltmyheart. Sounds perfect for fall. I’d love to win that draw. Mandarina Corsica also sounds amazing.
    In Louisiana USA.

  • Excellent Reviews – I loved the rich descriptions – I can smell them with my eyes lol! This Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne sounds totally intoxicating – that would be my pick. Thanks for this chance! I live in the Washington DC area.

  • I enjoyed the variety of fragrances for this autumn fragrances, part 2. I will love to experience all of them but if I had to choose I will go with Meltmyheart by Strangelove NYC. Greetings from Columbia, MD

  • More familiar fragrances in this Part II of the autumn fragrances and love the choices.
Oudh Divine sounds really interesting and really lovely how part of the revenue will go to a good cause. Like the slightly darker vibe of this. Still really enjoying Neil’s Vision in White.
Also Melt my Heart recommended by Michelyn I have tried as an oil and it is so warm and comforting for autumn.
Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne by Zarkonian also sounds great. One of my most enjoyed films is Midnight in Paris and it sounds like the surrealistic throwback 1920s perfume really evokes that.
Mem by Bogue is also one of my favourites and is with Chypre Palatin one if my favourite Winter Autumn fragrances as well. Would love to win any of the ones (eligible) I’ve mentioned above of course :). Marit Uk

  • Mazikeen Smith 24 says:

These fragrances are not familiar to me. But accordin to the reviews and notes, I would love to win or try Bogue Profumi MEM, L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica, Safran Rare by Amoroud. These three all have vanilla which is my favorite note. Also, the complexity and beautiful mix of notes made me very curious and excited at the same time.
Cheers from South Carolina, USA <3

  • wandering_nose says:

What a lush list of fragrant creations! I am truly impressed. My choice would be L’Artisan Parfumeur’s Mandarina Corsica – the candied mandarin with some spicy aspects sounds heavenly for autumn. Thank you from Ireland, EU

  • In these selections I found one perfume I tried recently, and felt deeply in love. It is MeltMyHeart, which I would be the most happiest to win. I am from the EU.

  • WeAreScentient says:

I miss Paris and its cakes and smells and epic bookshops. I’m siding with Lauryn Beer’s choice on this selection as I love Bogue’s MEM, that dirty over the top LAVENDER is my thing. Its on my wish list. The 2 Neil Morris I’ve smelled have been amazing! Beautiful selection again for part 2.
    if I’m lucky I’d love
    StrangeLove NYC – MeltMyHeart
    L’Artisan Parfumeur – Mandarina Corsica
& Visiteur – Caberet Nocturne (I’m excited to try these fun sounding fumes)
    Im in Dublin Ireland

  • I love the seasonal best of series. It reminds me of scents I may have overlooked or introduces me to new ones. All seem perfect for fall and I would be delighted to win any of the following: Neil Morris Oudh Devine, Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne, strangelove meltmyheart, L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica. I’m in MD, USA.

  • Aaaah, fall. We just hit sweater season and I am feeling the need for heavier foods, coziness and warmth. Everything is bathed in the wonderful yellow of the sun, that is unique to autumn – it’s warm enough to let you know it’s there but still chilly that you don’t get hot and sweaty. Leaves turning yellow as a fitting response.

I really enjoyed reading about Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne and Strangelove Meltmyheart because I love Cecile and Christophers work. A tuberose fragrance and a floral spicy citrus would be perfect for this weather!

To be honest, I would be perfectly happy winning all of these lovely fragrances.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Francesca Brice says:

I have to say when I read the line ‘struck an emotional chord’ my harp just played a chord of its own, the one that adjoins to your heart strings. For me, darkness always holds the promise of light…ascending from deep ocean or the miracle of dawn. The wonderful notes here dispel any concept of darkness as a negative or scary element, on the contrary, they feel full of richness, and the description ‘Elixir’ makes me want to immerse my spirit in Primal Oudh. I think it sounds like an immediate right swipe of a sophisticated Perfume dating app. I’m in Aotearoa / New Zealand and would love to be in the draw for Primal Oudh. Thanks for all the generosity from Contributors and Perfumes alike.

  • These autumn fragrances are also sounds very good from the base of the notes. They sounds warming, perfect for cold seasons. I would like to win Neil Morris Oud Devine, Visiteur Caberet Nocturne, Mandarina Corsica and Meltmyheart. Thank you very much for the chance. I live in Europe.

  • What a collection of fragrances. The curious combination of notes in Cabaret Nocturne, the winter citrus Mandarina Corsica, the luxurious and sensual Meltmyheart. These are the three I would love to win. They sound spectacular.
    – V/SITEUR Cabaret Nocturne
    – L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
    – Strangelove NYC meltmyheart
    I live in Denmark, EU.

  • These all sound beautiful. I am drawn to the spicy caramelized orange of Mandarina Corsica and the chocolate and iris of Meltmyheart. Winning one of these would be divine! Texas

  • Great list! I think Mem may be my favorite of the bunch, but I’d love to win any of the four (melt my heart, oudh devine, cabaret nocturne, mandarin corsica if the order of preference is important). Located in California, US.

  • Love me some fall especially the fragrances that we bring out!! Anything gourmont woody with some oud gets me everytime. As you put it love at first sniff!! Mandarina Corsica, Oude Devine, Melt my heart, Caberet Nocturne it would go that order but would be blessed to have any. USA thanks Cafleurebon once again for all y’all do & good luck everyone!!! P.S. Hopefully soon we”ll all be back to a normal life… God bless!!

  • MarkMarkMark678 says:

Love both part one and part two, they’re getting me excited for the upcoming season.

    Absolutely love the description of
L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica , made my mouth water and drool.
That’s the one I would choose.

    I live in Houston, Tx.

  • As with part 1, such a wonderful review of fragrances that are mostly new to me. I have not heard of most of these, and each one sounds phenomenal. I absolutely love fall fragrances, and I found it very interesting to go through the notes for the fragrances suggested. I also liked the global perspective in this review and how fragrance can really make people vast distances apart seem so much closer. If I am chosen, my only preference would be Melt My Heart because I have heard so many amazing things about the fragrance. Other than that, I would love to try each and every one of these. Kind regards from IN, USA.

  • What a pleasure to read! I thought part two of Best Fall Fragrances 2021 was really evocative, with each of the editor’s really painting a lovely picture of what fall feels like to them in each of their respective locations, and how that translates into their feelings about their chosen perfumes. I also particularly liked how they each contributed such artful and inspired photographs for this article! Very atmospheric and lovely.

I live in the US. I would love to win any of the fragrances in the following order of preference:

    1) strangelove meltmyheart
    2) Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne
    3) L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
    4) Neil Morris Oudh Devine

  • msnitechemist says:

Autumn is my favorite season, and I loved the evocative descriptions of the scents in this post. I like sandalwood notes in fragrances for scents and candles.

I’d love to win these two.
Strangelove Meltmyheart – the combination of the florals here sound very classic.
Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne – this one sounds a little dangerous, and perhaps after such a long period of lands fallow, this sounds very interesting to me.

    I’m from the US. Thanks.

  • Beautiful writing by Lauren Beer now I need Mem. Michael Devine sharing his bespoke is such an amazing gesture. Michelyn’s description of autumn leaves dancing solo and that maybe her heart could melt really moved me
The visuals you all took are beautiful
I am in California but grew up in Michigan so I miss 4 seasons
    I would like to win
    Meltmyheart
    Oudh Devine

  • meltmyheart from strangelove for me, please!
I have read only good things about this house here on Cafleurebon, but never got the chance to actually try them. The whole house is enveloped in this aura of mystery and seems quite enigmatic.
    Thanks. Europe

  • Really fascinated by the choices I was particularly interested in Strangelove Melt my Heart and Visiteur Caberet Nocturne a beautiful piece by Emmanuel has got me curious. If I am lucky to win I would love to win either of the two aforementioned. Thanks a million from the United Kingdom

  • discovered Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne, a tuberose fragrance created by the brilliant Cécile Zarokian.

Notes: gin accord, pink pepper, orange, smoke, sandalwood, powdery notes, tuberose, tobacco, cumin, animalic notes. A beautiful description by Emmanuel has got my intetest piqued in this gem. If I am successful I would love to win either Strangelove Melt my Heart or visiteur Caberet Nocturne. Thanks a lot from the UK

  • Part two of the best autumn fragrances was excellent. All of the photos were beautiful and each author’s comments regarding their fragrance picks were great. While I have not tried Bogue MEM, Lauryn’s description of the fragrance sounds amazing. Lavender, cherry pipe tobacco, and linden sound like notes that belong together. L’Artisan Mandarina Corsica is very addicting and Strangelove Melt My Heart sounds so intriguing. I would love to win either L’Artisan Mandarina Corsica or Strangelove Melt My Heart. I am located in the USA. Thank you for the article and the giveaway.

  • “A 1920s American speakeasy where the curls of cigarette smoke mingle with the scent of lipstick on the crystal goblets and the clinking of liquor bottles grabbed by shadowed bartenders.”

! It looks like my type of tuberose – bold, inviting, quite powdery and with a soft animalic touch (like …Adjatay from The Different Company)

Also, I love the idea of VISITEUR:
“Every memory was once a real life experience.” I agree with that and I really think that also every memory has a scent attached to it. I would love to associate the autum of 2021 with Cabaret Nocturne.

    My picks …

    Visiteur Caberet Nocturne
Mandarina Corsica (yummy “deep orange and caramel tones”)
Melt My Heart Strangelove NYC (love, love “buttery orris comfort”)

I live in Europe, Romania, thanks for the chance!

  • Fall is my favourite season and from this list, Cabaret Nocture seems right up my alley.

I particularly enjoyed reading about Antonio Gardoni thoughts about fall and his fragrance MEM.

Many thanks for this draw. I live in France.

  • Autumn is the golden season. The light is still warm even though the air is getting cooler. It seems opulent, sophisticated fragrances work best during this time. I would be delighted to win any of the following: strangelove meltmyheart , L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica, Visiteur Cabernet Nocturne, Neil Morris Fragrances Oudh Devine. I’m in MD, USA.

  • Love this series!! So many good choices. I’ve now seen “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” referenced twice this month and I’ve never seen it. Maybe I need to do that soon. Thanks to Neil Morris for donating proceeds of his sales to Tunnels to Towers. Worthy cause. I’d most love to win Mandarina Corsica because it is by Quentin. Oranges, caramel spices…….oh yes (Pumpkin spice is so overrated). Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • This second part is even more difficult than the first one…in the sense that it is difficult to say which fragrance appeals the most: they all seem amazing! If I were one of the lucky winners I would go for Visiteur Caberet Nocturne because anything from Cécile Zarokian I simply adore and because I loooooooved Emmanuelle’s description of the 1920s speakeasy. But Meltmyheart from Strange Love NYC is also extremely intriguing! Greetings from Italy.

  • I love reading these articles! So many beautiful fragrances! I live in the US and I would absolutely be thrilled to win the draw for MeltmyHeart xo

  • These selections are amazing, they all look great. All and every single one of them. There’s everything: oud, fruits, spices.
A little bit for everyone. Fall is great!
You can wear more stuff and enjoy the changing weather.
I live in the US and my options are

    Mandarina Corsica
    Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne
    Oudh Devine

    Thanks

I’ve never tried any of these but I’m drawn to Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne because I love tuberose and I love the description of it being both dark and luminous – that’s what I tend to want in my fall fragrances. Bogue Profumi MEM also sounds so interesting and I admit I’m mostly drawn to it by Lauryn’s description of it as “bonkers”! I love a crazy fragrance that keeps me guessing. But if I were to win, I think I would choose Meltmyheart because those notes sound absolutely amazing and I’m a sucker for anything cocoa. Thank you for the draw! From the US.

  • I think the second part of the list is much closer to my taste. I’d like to try
Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne, L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica or Oudh Devine. I live in Germany

  • I appreciate learning about these fragrances. I’d love to try Bogue’s releases, and also, Amoroud’s releases too. I hope to win: L’Artisan Parfumeur “Mandarina Corsica”, Visiteur Caberet Nocturne, Neil Morris Oudh Devine, or Strange Love NYC 15 ml Meltmyheart. I live in MD., U.S.A.

  • I’m a huge fan of Amoroud , thanks to Olya for mentioning Safran Rare on Cafleurebon. Olya actually sold me my first Amoroud, at Osswald
Again thanks to all contributors, my favorite of your recommendations:
    1. L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
    L’Artisan Parfumeur is a house i really like . At the moment I have 5 L’Artisan bottles.
Mandarina Corsica with its caramel, cinnamon and immortelle would be great for the upcoming season
    2. Melt My Heart , now we’re talking. To me by very far the best -Strangelove NYC fragrance 10/10. Chocolate, oud , lots of nutmeg and powderyness , slightly buttery too.
It’s a toss up for me between the two
    Thanks a lot

  • Fantastic choice, Michelyn. Strange Love NYC is a crème de la crème niche house and the quality not only of their creations but also of the ingredients they source really shows. I haven’t tried Meltmyheart but would love to win it. VA, USA

  • Beautiful photographs and reviews, some really interesting choices here and some of them don’t sound like what I usually think of as “fall” so I’m even more intrigued! Michelyn’s description of Strangelove MeltMyHeart really called to me and would be the one I would choose if I had to pick just one. Thank you for the article and the draw!

  • Fall trip continues
    -L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
I have special memories, and attachment to L’Artisan Parfumeur . Met my husband white wearing Vanille Absolument
Mandarina Corsica is sophisticated gourmand i believe
-From Meltmyheart i expect bold, but not harsh unapologetic fragrance with natural oud and chocolate , creamy iris and i’m sure overall great experience . Obvious choice in my opinion .
I’d prefer Mandarina Corsica for sentimental reasons
Thanks again for sharing your Fall choices ,and cheers with Pinot Noir

  • Thank you for guiding us into perfect autumn colors, feelings, moods and scents! Capturing descriptions, especially for meltmyheart and Cabaret Nocturne.

I live in the EU and would like to win:
    – meltmyheart strangelove,
    – Cabaret Nocturne V/siteur,
    – Mandarina Corsica L’atelier parfumeur,
    – Oudh Devine Neil Morris.
    Thank you!

  • In my opinion the best fragrances here are
    *Mandarina Corsica
There’s always some kind of positive , or unique sensation , or both around L’Artisan Parfumeur. Mandarina Corsica fits well in my theory. I so need vacation with a French island , with deep orange and caramel tones fragrance.
Such picture Despina drew in my mind.
    *Meltmyheart
Christophe Laudamiel is the perfumer behind Amber Absolute Tom Ford , one of the best amber fragrances ever. I presume , judging by the prices of Strangelove NYC perfumes, the brand owners gave him full cart blanche ,to work with highest quality ingredients, so my expectations are pretty high.Grown up smell for successful people, my thoughts on on Meltmyheart .
    Mandarina Corsica or Meltmyheart please
    Thanks

  • So nice to read again , this time i’ll go with
    1. Mandarina Corsica
L’Artisan I know is old reputable niche brand , but I know just a few of their fragrances. I own , and adore Noir Exquis , but I’ll have to smell a lot more.
Despina take on Mandarina Corsica instantly reminded me of making, and eating Mandarin and Almond Cake, with candied mandarins on top .Sounds delicious , I hope I’ll be the winner.
    2. Meltmyheart
Not sure it’s because I’m a Pastry Chef, but because of Michelyn i was instantly reminded of Chocolate Butter Cake I do every day at my bakery. The whole process of making it, to eating it went through my mind.
I’d love to win 1. Mandarina Corsica 2. Meltmyheart
Appreciate sharing your part 2 Autumn choices, and the giveaway campaign

  • For the second time today, awesome choices guys . Let’s see
    -L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
I think I need to try is asap . I really like alluring
    spicy gourmands
    – Meltmyheart
Straight to the point review, and a niche brand that stands out with really limited edition products. I respect such approach.
If Meltmyheart could have been a movie character fragrance, it will fit Sherlock Holmes played by Benedict Cumberbatch , such a great actor. Sophisticated lover kind of fragrance.
    -Amouroud
Warm spicy , ambery and woody goodness
Can you review more Amouroud fragrance in the future?
My clear favorites are Mandarina Corsica, and Meltmyheart
    Exciting giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • Vanillander65 says:

Wow, they all sound amazing, so many perfumes I didn’t know about and I love to wear gourmands in Fall and Winter.
My first pick would be L’ Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica, then Visiteur Cabaret Nocturne or Meltmyheart. Thank you for this chance!
    EU here 🙂

  • Fragrance Capital says:

I hope to experience all these fall perfumes especially Visiteur 🙂 Its notes give me the impression of confidence in a simple way!… Mandarina Corsica sends me the warm feeling that is missed sometimes on Fall nights. All of these perfumes sound fantastic & would be thrilled with any. Thank you so much for the opportunity! BiH 🙂

  • In Part 2 of the Fall fragrances, I’m interested in:
    1. L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica
    Mandarin , caramel, burned sugar
caramel, you can’t go wrong with sunny cheerful fragrance like Mandarina Corsica
    2. All natural oud , iris and dusty chocolate
MeltmyHeart sounds so posh .Next time visiting Luckyscent I’ll check Strangelove NYC
L’Artisan Parfumeur Mandarina Corsica/Strangelove NYC Meltmyheart would be fantastic
Thanks for the hard work, and the draw

  • Courtnee Felton says:

The sunny Manadarina Corsica is the most appropriate scent mentioned in the article for coastal Virginia “autumn.” We really have a kinder continuation of summer without the brutal dew points and sky high temperatures.

  • Hey I ownAmouroud Safran Rare , and know Mandarina Corsica. I’m going with the picks of
    -Despina Veneti
L’Artisan Parfumeur i know because of Noir Exquis – cuddling type of gourmand i really like.
Mandarina Corsica and Noir Exquis do share the same ecstatic vibe . To me Mandarina Corsica smells like hand made orange candy
    – Michelyn Camen , such a surprise
First time I’ve heard Strangelove NYC was in one of Sebastian videos.Judging by Michelyn Meltmyheart is special really complex scent, going through a lot of phases. I’m sensing some old school vibes in it , but I’m sure it will be well-balanced .
    Thank you all
