Angelos Creations Olfactives Narkissos

Narkissos opens purring with wildness! This heady white floral is tinged with greens and licked into desirous ways by a stunning cruelty-free deer musk accord. Angelos captures that musk’s intensity, that fleshy dark sweetness with a touch buttery almost pungent darkness, making the brighter elements shine drunk on a stunning daffodil/jonquil accord. As I inhale deeply, Narkissos gets dewy with excitement, making gentle noises of pleasure murmur from my mouth. Fresh and heady, this wild combination feels dynamic, capturing the full gamut of daffodils. A sour tart green makes your mouth smack when combined with the beautiful haze of musky bright florals. It feels sensual, fleshy with desire, teasing the gentle plumpness of tuberose with a dirty purr of champaca simmering in a gaze of soft narcotic orange blossom. Narkissos has that electric tangible sexual tension between two lovers, with an undeniable presence that can be felt by all around. Chamomile gives light sweet kisses  with a roll in the hay with a touch of fig. There’s a slightly herbaceous twist in that darker heart of the musk, as Narkissos’s petals get lightly waxy when teased by jasmine with warm spice.

The sensuality gets kicked up a notch. Narkissos shakes its yellow trumpet into a soft powdery honeyed haze. Its hay facets become addictive with a pinch of buttery salt seasoned with coumarin’s dryness giving the powdery sensuality depth. Narkissos purrs with a vintage carnality, its smooth hay becoming a jonquil mossy fur, grabbing it lightly, then teasing you into position as the honeyed florals place their lips onto yours. As Gaga sang “and baby, when it’s love, if it’s not rough, it’s not as fun”. Narkissos is not rough in texture; more in its rich play that envelops you in a golden glow making you want to bury yourself deeper into this perfume’s delight. Narkissos unlocks that desire to let loose and give into more primal urges. Carnation adds a touch of spice with a light wink of leather you can feel through this powdery floral narcotic haze. These dazzling florals hum a deeper note as spiced greens get stemmy, with a little nip and bite as you’re wrapped in Angelos Creations Olfactives Narkissos dirty sensual hug. Soft tobacco breathes warmly into the mouth of the daffodil’s trumpet, creating a stunning rich abstract floral. Its powdery pollen covered anther rubs all over you as its petals melt into a velvety richness.

Narkissos’s dry down is spectacular. After all the heady fun you’re wrapped in sumptuous creamy leather and gentle floral musks that have a clean vanilla benzoin richness drunk on a little ambrette musk. Narcissus’s mossy green facets shine here conjuring a seductive furriness. The dry-down wears like a soft glow of love, memories of honeyed floral kisses are fuzzy as if you can still feel your lover’s lips on your skin. It glows with musky warmth, as if you’re wearing beautiful half-remembered memories of holding someone special close, after you have left their company and their scent is lingering around you. Narkissos nods to the past but is beautifully contemporary with this rich creamy dry-down. That touch of tobacco giving a richness, like a sexy delicious thought you can’t forget. It whispers of old loves feeling warm and luxurious with the more contemporary ambrette musks keeping it in the now.

I’ve been wearing a late 70s vintage Chanel No.5 Eau de Cologne recently, Narkissos reminds me of this stunning classic, not in smell but rather feel, its soft floral haze with purring musks, clean yet wild, feeling very elegant and damn sexy. Guerlain’s Vol de Nuit is another; again, it’s the elegant dreamy abstractness of Narkissos that makes you feel like you’re wearing something timeless and very special. You can feel Angelos’s love of perfumery in Narkissos it’s a nod to the vintage narcissus perfumes of the past brought into the contemporary of now and packed full of wow. A wild combination. Angelos has been working on Narkissos since 2022, trying to capture a daffodil soliflore, he’s done that and much more here. Dare I say one of the best perfumes I’ve smelt this year!

I can’t get over how sensual this sounds. Like, that salted butter with narcissus and cruelty-free deer musk? It’s giving soft skin, morning-after haze, and something half-forgotten but impossible to ignore. I haven’t tried anything from Angelos Creations yet, but if this is what his world feels like, I need in. It sounds like sex and poetry in a bottle.

  • J’s review seriously messed me up in the best way. “Powdery pollen-covered anther rubs all over you”? That’s not a perfume, that’s an experience. I’ve never smelled anything from Angelos Creations Olfactives before, but Narkissos might be the one to break me. I’m obsessed with florals that aren’t just pretty, but have bite — and this one sounds feral and emotional.

  • FragranceFrenzyS says:

I’ve only tried Krinos and I was already impressed, but this? This sounds like Angelos took all the parts of a daffodil no one dares to show and made them radiant. I love that it’s floral but also mossy, buttery, a little animalic — like something vintage but totally modern. The tobacco, the honey, the ambrette? I can already feel it in my bones.

    Greetings from the EU

  • AromaAdventurer says:

This just hit all my perfume buttons. Chamomile, narcissus, carnation, a dirty musk… seriously? It sounds like slipping into a silk slip with the ghost of someone’s cologne still on your skin. I haven’t tried Angelos’s work before but I can’t stop reading this review over and over. I want to wear this and disappear into the night like a myth.

  • LindenNoir says:

That mix of orange blossom and champaca simmering beneath narcissus? I’m weak. I haven’t smelled anything from Angelos yet, but Narkissos sounds like the kind of scent that makes people lean in and ask what you’re wearing not because it’s loud, but because it whispers something they can’t quite place. That’s the kind of floral I dream about.

  • WHEW. I don’t know who needs laid more right now after reading all of that, me or the author! Yeah I haven’t smelled anything by Angelos Creations Olfactives but I’m gonna need to change that. Gonna go take a cold shower now and pray away my sinful thoughts. I’m in the USA

  • teatreesoil says:

daffodils seem to be surprisingly rare in fragrances…! i’m really curious how salted butter plays into the overall scent, but…. mm yeah, i can really see why narkissos took 3 years to develop. just imagining from this review of narikissos as being white florals tinged with greens, with tobacco and carnation and musk playing off each other to create a unique perfume that J describes as “one of the best perfumes” smelt thus far…! i do think the salted butter is definitely the strangest but most intriguing element of narkissos highlighted here

karikia is my favorite from angelos creations olfactives (to be fair, it’s the only one i’ve had the privilege of sampling)

thanks for the review, from the USA

  • Amanda B says:

J’s review sells Narkissos as raw confidence bottled—elegant on the surface, primal underneath. I love a perfume that walks in like it owns the room, then makes you lean closer.

Ride-or-die favorite from Angelos: Irida with its chilled-out orris glow

I consistently learn so much from reading ÇaFleureBon articles, not just about the scent but about the creators and concepts behind them. Narkissos sounds like a fascinating olfactory study of narcissus, and I deeply appreciate learning about Angelos Balamis’s specific approach and vision through your insightful writing. It sounds like a fragrance with both beauty and brains. Hope to discover this captivating scent soon! From US.

  • This sounds like a truly interesting and significant new release, especially focusing on a flower as iconic yet sometimes challenging as narcissus. I greatly admire fragrances that showcase a single floral element with such depth and complexity. I would absolutely love the chance to experience Angelos Balamis’s interpretation in Narkissos. Thanks for the generous giveaway!

  • Bloomfields says:

The way this comprehensive review describes Narkissos – skillfully weaving together the mythological inspiration, the perfumer’s artistry, and that alluring ‘sexy floral’ characterization – paints such an evocative and multi-layered picture. It sounds like a fragrance that possesses real depth, personality, and a compelling narrative arc. I’m very eager to smell how these elements combine!
    From US.

  • A sincere thank you to both ÇaFleureBon for the insightful review and to Angelos Creations Olfactives for this very generous opportunity! Narkissos sounds like a truly beautiful and nuanced exploration of the narcissus flower, a note that deserves this kind of thoughtful attention. The detailed description makes it exceptionally tempting for any floral fragrance enthusiast.
I’m in the US and would love to try it.

  • Okay, you definitely had me hooked at ‘sexy floral’! Narcissus isn’t always the first note that springs to mind for sensuality, often leaning more green or austere, so Narkissos sounds incredibly unique and perhaps even a bit daring in its concept. This detailed review makes it sound completely irresistible and challenges my preconceptions beautifully. Thank you for spotlighting it!

  • The potential juxtaposition within Narkissos – drawing from an ancient myth about self-obsession while embodying a modern, ‘sexy’ floral appeal – is utterly fascinating! ÇaFleureBon’s article expertly highlights this inherent complexity, suggesting a fragrance that offers more than just a pleasant scent, but a story and a mood. It sounds intellectually stimulating as well as beautiful. Would be absolutely thrilled to win this! From US.

  • Mchiles30 says:

Having followed Angelos Balamis’s creative journey with genuine interest, I’m always thrilled to see a new release from him. Narkissos sounds like it beautifully aligns with his unique artistic style, delving into a classic floral but likely imbuing it with his signature depth and perhaps unexpected twists, as hinted at in the review.
I can’t wait to hopefully experience his vision for this flower. US.

  • What strikes me about Narkissos is its intoxicating and heady narcissus accord, which J describes as capturing the mythic allure of Narcissus poeticus with a lush, seductive floral heart. The combination of salted butter and chamomile in the top notes, paired with the rich tobacco and leather base, sounds like a bold, modern twist on classic perfumery, creating a fragrance that’s both poetic and provocative. I love how Angelos Balamis weaves such complex, evocative notes into something so wearable yet daring. I live in Poland, EU. I would say Après Cologne would be my favourite.

  • This sounds like a crazy ride with its wild, sexy narcissus. I particularly like that is has a fresh, green kick and a buttery musk vibe. It feels like it would be flirty, with a vintage floral/modern twist. In maryland.

  • Ramses Perez says:

Every time I look at a bottle and the juice for any Angelos Creations fragrance I can tell there is some strong potion in it. A heady floral as described by J but containing elements of both contemporary and more traditional styles of fragrances, this one is intriguing. I haven’t had the chance of trying any Angelos’ scents but this one sure looks like a stunner. I see lots of sweet notes in the composition so I always appreciate that. Can’t wait for the next Creation by Angelos. I’m located in the USA.

  • claudia cosarca says:

I never tried a perfume from Angelos Balamis yet but I am catched by the story around this. I love most of the notes of this masterpiece so I am thrilled to try a fairytale in a bottle. From EU.

  • perfumemusings says:

I’m super intrigued by Narkissos. It sounds like the perfect mix of soft florals, cozy musk, and a deep and sexy dry down which I love. The idea of something vintage but still modern really speaks to me. I’d be so excited to try this!

  • AleksCipri says:

Best fragrance J smelled this year? It must be amazing and complex. A parallel with Guerlain’s Vol de Nuit is definitely something that makes me even more interested in getting my nose on Narkissos. I have no doubt that this fragrance is complex and with many interesting facets at each stage. Daffodil with tobacco, leather and musk sounds so good! I own Pnoi thanks to Angelos and this amazing blog and I love every second of its development. I have to sample Narkissos as well! Cheers from Illinois, US.

  • J’s your vision of the Narkissos ensemble amazed me, I was already interested from the presentation of the fragrance but now you have ignited a strong desire to try this perfume.
Angelos works his fragrances very well, my favorites at the moment are Irida and Karikia but Narkissos has all the credentials to be the next one.
Narkissos contains some of my all time favorite ingredients like: orange blossom, jasmine, narcissus, chamomile… and that salted butter looks delicious all together!
    Thanks, Simon from EU (Italy)

  • wonderscent.mari says:

Wow, reading J’s review of Narkissos really took me on a journey. The way it blends vintage past with modern sensuality is so captivating. First of all, the notes are really impressive, I can only imagine how that smells… and for me is quite a provocative olfactive journey.
What strikes me about Narkissos is how complex and seemingly variable it is, combined florals with salted butter & dirty musk, animalic notes with mossy ones. The Narkissos is sure wild, sexy but also playful, elegantly sensual. I’d be interesting to experience this fragrance and real life and see what facets of it each person picks up.
Thank you for the intro to this house. I’m located in Germany, and many thanks for this generous giveaway!

  • What strikes me most about Narkissos, based on J’s review, is how J’s description transforms this from just a perfume to an experience encompassing the duality of innocence and desire. The way the fragrance evolves from a green wildness to a soft, musky memory makes it an ode to the past and present.

  • Patricia R. says:

The slightly herbaceous twist in that darker heart of the musk, as Narkissos’s petals get lightly waxy when teased by jasmine with warm spice is what entices me in that description, together with buttery salt seasoned with coumarin’s dryness. If it leans vintage I wonder how it compares to Caron’s classics, Penhaligon’s Ostara, or even Margaretha Ley. I think Narcissus is always a classy and feminine bet. I live in the EU.

  • Kensolfactoryodyssey says:

What strikes me most about Narkissos is how it sounds both wild and elegant—like a daffodil drenched in desire. The mix of buttery florals, salty musk, and that glowing dry-down feels intimate and unforgettable. It seems like the kind of scent that wraps around you like a memory you don’t want to let go of. I live in usa . My favorite from Angelos Creations Olfactives is Karikia—though Narkissos may just steal the top spot!

  • Wow, Narkissos sounds like a wild and gorgeous beast! Buttery, carnal flowers, with the narcissus upfront, backed up by tuberose, champaca and orange blossom. Then a good waft of tobacco on a musky and vanillic base, to seemingly take us back to the golden age of Hollywood! Somehow, from J’s description I get a very glamorous, slightly retro image of a femme fatale, surrounded by a strong and seductive, larger than life floral aura, in no way pristine, but deepened by animalic, musky and mossy elements which would take it to borderline unisex territory, at least in present days.
I have unfortunately never experienced anything from Angelos Creations Olfactives yet.
    Greetings from the EU.

  • If J says it is one of the best perfumes of the year, I listen. I do own Irida Extrait, and it is incredible. Please, please enter me the salted narcissus butter has me swooning USA

  • Gayle Kendall says:

Hi! I can’t wait to try this perfume! it sounds right up my alley. I wore Madeline Mono for a long time – and to this day, love my wild floral fragrances!!! I love everything about fragrance! It makes life better – or sometimes pungent, but at least you know you’re alive! lolol! Th as no you!!!! xxxxx

  • Alyson Lea Freeman says:

I’ve been obsessed with rose perfume lately, especially complex ones. Most of my perfumes are blind buys, and there are so many that I have not tried, but the notes of this one is heavenly.

  • This sounds absolutely amazing. I don’t have anything in my collection that I could even compare this to. I would love to sample.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Wonderful floral feminine perfume old stele elegante. I love it! I am from EU

  • J’s review had me grinning — any perfume that ”purrs with wildness” and wears like a ”dirty sensual hug” is something I need to try. A daffodil dipped in salted butter, rolled in leather and musk, and kissed with tobacco? That sounds like absolute trouble (the fun kind). I love florals with a bold, unexpected edge, and Narkissos seems like the kind of scent that walks into a room and leaves a whisper behind. I live in France and would love to get wrapped up in this fragrant flirtation!

  • hippononamus says:

Well if I took away one thing from J’s review it’s that this perfume purrs, think I counted 5 times that was used to describe some facet of the perfume. That J was able to hone in on so many different florals, rather than it turning into some unidentifiable bouquet strikes me the most as that’s not an easy feat. Irida Extrait is probably my favorite of the house, but I haven’t sampled extensively. I’m in the US.

  • This fragrance sounds like a beautiful tribute to Greek heritage, and I’m intrigued by how the narcissus note is highlighted in such a sensual, modern way. As someone from Europe, I really appreciate when a perfume blends history with personal expression like this. I am from Romania, Europe.

  • It’s obvious Narkissos is a lovingly composed fragrance, I’m impressed at the thought that went into combining daffodils, jonquil and narcissus accords with notes such as salted butter, honey and ambrette seed. The number and variety of absolutes Angelo’s uses is astounding. I’m going to Mykonos is early June and hope to find a shop that carries his creations. Would love to start my collection with this masterpiece. MD, USA.

  • stillsouthernhearted says:

I have not ever read such a seductive review before. If the review is this seductive; I can only begin to imagine how much more seductive the fragrance is.

  • alleycat says:

I love seeing this notes list full of absolutes. Sometimes you just can’t beat the real thing! Still, that daffodil accord really captures my attention, as it’s so unusual. And that description “dirty purr of champaca” is so fun. I have never tried Angelos Creations, but would like to. USA

  • rachel wiener says:

Wow, this sounds like a veritable floral orgy of a perfume! I’m dying to try Angelo’s work and this one sounds spectacular. Definitely some lesser utilized notes in this, like butter, which are also intriguing. Thanks to Angelos for the generous giveaway. I’m in USA

  • andreagonz says:

Oh my daffodil, salted butter, white floral with a touch of green, dark and sensual ending creamy with tobacco, leather and vanilla . This is written so well sounding like being embraced by your lover with raw passion. I have never tried anything from Angelos Creations Olfactives and absolutely need to after j’s review.
    I am from NC, USA

  • Great review—Narkissos is a beautifully realized soliflore. I’m intrigued by that heady combo of Daffodil and natural musk, as well all the textures here—waxy white florals, “golden glow”, dry coumarin, warm tobacco. And that “spectacular” drydown sounds like luxury. I haven’t tried any Angelos Creations Olfactives fragrances, but I’d put Narkissos on my list.

    I’m in the USA.

  • Capturing the scent of a daffodil sounds difficult indeed. I do enjoy the fragrant smell of narcissus in spring. Paired with honey, benzoine and chamomile, it sounds fabulous. MI USA

  • Laurentiu says:

Never tried anything from this house, but I would love to start my exploration journey with Narkissos. Thanks! EU

  • I love how Nicoleta described the 3 phases of this perfume’s development.
First, Narkissos has that electric tangible sexual tension between two lovers, with an undeniable presence that can be felt by all around.
Then it unlocks that desire to let loose and give into more primal urges.
Finally, the dry-down wears like a soft glow of love, memories of honeyed floral kisses are fuzzy as if you can still feel your lover’s lips on your skin.
I haven’t tried anything from the house, hopefully I will soon.

  • Narcissus is one of my favorite flowers, and I love to try any fragrance that features it. Narkissos sounds like a beautiful creation. As a lover of hay, I am especially intrigued by J’s comment, “Its hay facets become addictive with a pinch of buttery salt seasoned with coumarin’s dryness giving the powdery sensuality depth”. While I haven’t smelled a vintage Chanel No.5 from the 70s, I do love this classic fragrance. J’s comparison to it makes me want Narkissos more so.

My favorite Angelos Creations Olfactives is Grace D’Orient. It’s such a gorgeous spicy floral fragrance! Thank you, J, for the incredible review, and thank you to Angelos Balamis for the generous giveaway. I am located in the USA.

  • Lately, I’ve been captivated by rose perfumes, especially the more intricate ones. Most of my collection consists of blind buys, and there are still many I haven’t explored, but the notes in this one are absolutely divine.

  • opalbear says:

Honestly picking a favorite?? Impossible!! I’ve been a huge fan since his Angeliki came out and I love everything from Figue de Vertu to Pnoi, his florals like Irida and L’Oeillet and his ambers and chypres like Grace d’Orient… oh I’m a fan!! Narkissos must be amazing. I am located in California. Thank you for the generous giveaway!!

  • Maastura bluesock says:

Im not familiar with the perfume house/brands but obviously I loveca floral scent. The review really made the scent seem sexy dirty and dangerous bc of how dark the scent is. Flesh and plumpness of rose and dirty champagne *gasp*. I like a more fun playful floral scent but a musky carnal scent sounds nice. I like dark moody oud scent , i wonder how dark this scent could be.
I hope i win the giveaway I’m in Florida.

  • Shibuichi2000 says:

I love floral centered perfumes, and especially those built around a certain one, but not being a soliflore.
Narkissos sounds very interesting to me – contemporary interpretations of perfumes of the past require great nose and great skills.
The leather in the drydown intrigued me, I must say
    I’m in EU.
PS: am I the only one thinking about kisses when pronouncing Narkissos?

  • Oh my, I’m feeling a little overheated after reading this passion-inspiring review. Heady carnal florals are my fragrance first love, and the description of these narcotic flowers wallowing in honey and powder is just intoxicating. This sounds like a must-try fragrance for me. I am in USA.

  • roxhas1cat says:

This sounds like a vintage gem!! I love knowing that the dry down is spectacular. Often my experience is that I favor the opening which is so fleeting. So many gorgeous florals. I love Karikia from this line. USA.

  • J Wearescentient’s review paints Narkissos as a captivating and multifaceted fragrance. The description focuses on a “heady white floral” core, particularly highlighting a stunning daffodil/jonquil accord made sensual by a “cruelty-free deer musk.” This musk is described with intriguing contrasts – “fleshy dark sweetness” with a “buttery almost pungent darkness” – creating a sense of wildness and desire. J Wearescentient emphasizes the perfume’s dynamic and sensual nature, evoking the “electric tangible sexual tension between two lovers.” I would love Narkissos because J Wearescentient promises a unique and compelling sensory experience. The blend of bright florals with a dark, animalic musk suggests a fragrance that is both alluring and sophisticated. The comparisons to vintage classics like Chanel No. 5 and Guerlain’s Vol de Nuit further imply a timeless elegance with a modern, “dirty sensual hug.” J Wearescentient’s enthusiastic praise (“one of the best perfumes I’ve smelt this year!”) and the description of a “spectacular” dry-down with creamy leather and gentle musks truly piques my interest in experiencing this “wild combination”!

My gratitude to Angelos Balamis for your generosity. I reside in the USA.

  • I love the images this review evokes in my mind. I felt the expression used in the beginning “purring with wildness!” throughout the whole description and I couldnt stopped thinking about how sensual and addictive this perfume must be. I haven’t got the chance (yet) to smell something from Angelos Creations but Vetiveria Animalis sounds like my cup of fragrance 🙂

  • Sonbahia says:

Nice review Mr. J!This fresh and heady white flower musky perfume is another gem from Angelos Balamis lab. And as many of his scents took a lot of time since the idea to the final formula, is his way of working. The star of the show is a stunning daffodil (narciso, in Spanish, close to the original). This sensual flower is accompanied by jasmine, tuberose and carnation and I love the role that chamomile plays (light sweet kisses, J says). Amazing drydown with rich leather and gentle floral musks around vanilla, benzoin & ambrette. It seems like a classic, not a copy of perfumes from the past since Angelo gives it a contemporary touch full of surprises. I live in Spain, EU.

  • Narkissos sounds sinnful 😉 and I love it. Really interested to smell more daffodil fragrances. Seattle

  • What strikes me about “Narkissos” is the contrast between soft florals and deeper, sensual notes. The mix of narcissus, salted butter, and leather sounds both unexpected and addictive—elegant yet daring.
    I’m from EU, Romania.

  • There’s something enchanting about the way orange blossom and champaca mingle beneath narcissus. I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing Angelos’ creations, and his artistry speaks through every note. Narkissos carries that quiet allure—the kind of scent that makes people lean in, curious, because it whispers rather than shouts. But for me, Yassemi holds a special place. It’s the floral I’ve always dreamed of, and a true testament to Angelos’ gift for crafting fragrances that stay with you long after the first breath.

  • Daffodils are such an underused gem in perfumery—rare, yet so full of potential. What really caught my attention in this review of Narkissos is the salted butter note… seriously, who does that? It’s unexpected, a little surreal—but I can imagine it adding a warm, creamy edge that contrasts beautifully with the green florals and musky depth. Now I fully understand why Narkissos took 3 years to come to life. The mix of white flowers, greens, tobacco, carnation, and musk sounds like a symphony of textures. J’s praise—calling it “one of the best perfumes” experienced… says it all. That salted butter? The oddest element… but maybe the most brilliant. It’s that kind of bold move that makes niche perfumery so thrilling. Still, Karikia remains my top love from Angelos’ creations. Sending warm scent-laced greetings from Paris! ️

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the fantastic writeup J!

Really like Angelos’ commitment to marrying vintage with modern aromachemicals and styles. The fact that this is a narciuss soliflore idea, with fuzzy musks and a butteriness that exudes sensuality makes me want to try this. This is perfectly in time for spring.

    Cheers from WI, USA

The notes sound fascinating but you had me at the comparison to Vol de Nuit, which has been a favorite of mine for many years. Something with the same enveloping historic mood yet of a different scent sounds enticing. US

I like that J describes this as vintage with a contemporary edge. I’ve always loved the more “mature” vintage scents, even as a teenager. It sounds like a very sexy scent, but for an experienced woman not someone who’s new to the game.
