  • Sandi’s review makes Solar Wind sound like a high-energy scent with a combination of bright, tart, juicy, fruity vibrancy paired with resinous elemi and a creamy, musky and lukewarm base. I’m interested in how the lively fruity notes fade into that smooth musky-woody base… NC, USA.

The way this article describes the notes of Solar Wind is beautiful. The combination of citrus, berries, and warm sandalwood sounds amazing. I’m especially intrigued by the ‘soul notes’ of guava and strawberry – that tropical twist must be so uplifting! And the top notes of rhubarb and elemi add such a unique, sparkling contrast to the sweet raspberry. Then, to have that grounded by the creamy sandalwood and musk in the base, along with the honey and Spanish broom for sweetness… it sounds like a complex and truly captivating scent. This perfume giveaway is a great opportunity!

First off, the cap looks like the sun so the name is very on brand. Lots of solar and fruity notes to signal a beautiful sunny day out in nature where you experience fruits and flora all around you. It’s a fragrance that’s very easy-going and non-complicated to wear in any season. I love these types of scents because you don’t have to put a lot of thought into wearing them and they end up being the ones you wear the most. Solar wind it’s for a sunny day. Sandi’s review of Solar Wind brings to mind an explosion of colorful fruits, with warmth from sandalwood and an airiness from the musk. Along with the bottle and label imagery, this seems all around captivating.

  • Wow well this has a lot going on! I have not tried anything from this house before. I love the concept. I’m a big Space nerd. The fruits are surprising I would not have thought of that but it makes sense with the sun. The creamy sandalwood sounds like a perfect balance. I am in the USA. Thank you for the giveaway.

I recently had a chance to sample some of the Picture Fragrans offerings including Solar Wind. I agree with this review 100%. But saying that this fragrance is a “passionate” Extrait de parfum is an understatement. This fragrance is absurdly strong. From the first spray you literally feel like a rhubarb star exploded right next to your face. It is citrusy, sparkling, clean, and very very strong. After some time I also feel woody and musky notes which ground the fragrance. Finally, these bottles are just gorgeous! Cheers from Illinois, US.

The desire to be sunsoaked but in a scent driven way has me intrigued. I’m not usually a fan of “solar” perfumes, but the way Sandi described this one, it has me yearning. What I do love is guava and strawberry, and I can imagine this fragrance becoming a favorite. I live in Oregon.

  • Love the combination of notes to invoke that astrophysical elements. This seems unique fresh spicy fragrance. The review has tantalized Me.

Thanks for the lovely writeup Sandi!

This fragrance sounds like the perfect scent to welcome warm weather. I really loved the imagery created using solar winds . I often imagine them to be filled with different hues, radiating out far away and having an electrifying effect.

I imagine this fragrance to have a similar appeal with the vibrant fruity notes and the grounding base notes of sandalwood, musk ad honey, Two very different experiences.

  • Beautiful presentation for this fragrance. I love the bottle and spherical topper and the image for solar wind really captures the inspiration for the scent; “a radiant journey through the cosmos captured in a bottle.” The citrus and fruits bring exuberance and joy while the sandalwood and musk provide grounding. Sounds lovely. MD, USA

What got my attention first about this review is the combination of the sciences and arts. The description of “cosmetic journey, solar winds, and vibrant energy” reminds me of my college physics classes. The fruit notes with the base of sandlewood sounds like a scent I would wear. The description of the fragrance as well as the notes bring me to a time of fresh new beginnings. This is a scent I think I would truly love.

That sounds juicy and gorgeous, rhubarb, wild(!) strawberry, grapefruit, sandalwood honey and raspberry sounds like a great combo. I like the review’s imagery with the sun, it really conveys that bright, summery and energetic vibe! The contrast of bright/sharp notes and the creamy base notes sounds delcious. The cap is also very cool, reminds me of the recent red moon actually.

  • I’m still never sure what to expect when a perfumer describes “solar citrus” in their fragrance, but Pictura Fragrans is pretty direct about it. The juicy, tangy fruit makes Solar Wind standout, with some guava as a point of distinction. This sounds like a blast to wear in summer heat.

  • Kensolfactoryodyssey says:

Pictura Fragrans Solar Wind sounds like a fragrance that transcends mere scent—it’s an interstellar journey bottled, a sensory voyage through cosmic energy and celestial wonder. The idea of bright citrus, electrified by rhubarb and elemi, colliding with the lush sweetness of guava and wild strawberry is utterly magnetic. And then there’s the grounding warmth of sandalwood and musk, like the lingering glow of a sunbeam on the skin. Winning this fragrance would mean experiencing the thrill of solar winds firsthand, an olfactory reminder that adventure isn’t just out there in the universe—it’s right here, waiting to be worn.

  • Woah these kinda of highly conceptual fragrances that transport you are hard to find these days. And usually for me they tend to only be the super earthy ones because fruity fragrances can come off generic, but this review is convincing me that this bottle manages to surpass all my expectations brilliantly!
