With the latest Atelier Des Ors launches, the new pillars of the Memory Lane Collection, founder and Creative Director Jean-Philippe Clermont enlisted longtime perfumer/collaborator Marie Salamagne to pay tribute to the emotional power of perfume, its tremendous ability to trigger past memories and also to forge future ones.

Atelier des Ors Villa Primerose pays homage to the welcoming elegance of French perfumery and its roots in Grasse, the fields of roses, and the new home of the brand – Villa Primerose, a magnificent house from 1886. For me this fragrance resembles indulging in a sparkling rosé from a distinguished French vineyard. Each sip is an explosion of flavors and aromas from that region’s terroir, air, and personality. From the moment it is poured, with its fizzy effervescence dancing in the glass, the scent sets the mood with a playful character—a blend of fresh, fruity notes that evoke memories of sun-ripened raspberries, fleshy roses and leather.

A subtle nuance makes me think of buttery brioche and toasted almonds, and I imagine the iris playing this clever little trick on me, adding a warm depth that balances the bright fruitiness. A slight minerality emerges as you inhale, reminiscent of wet stones after a summer rain. The fragrance truly delivers like wine on its aromatic promises with a creamy ambrette texture and fine, persistent bubbles that caress the palate. The fresh tart rose flavors are vibrant yet refined, complemented by the subtle pink pepper zest that adds a refreshing brightness. The interplay of fruit and slightly waxy iris continues seamlessly from nose to palate, with the toasted leather undertones and a rich, amber backdrop.

The finish is like a signature of well-crafted sparkling rosé. It leaves a delicate lingering impression with subtle floral nuances that invite another spritz.

Notes: Cardamom, Pear, Pink Pepper, Rose Centifolia (infusion pays), Ambrette, Iris, Leather, Amber, Woods, Musk

Atelier Des Ors Blue Madeleine

Atelier Des Ors Blue Madeleine Photo by Olya Bar

“No sooner had the warm liquid mixed with the crumbs touched my palate than a shudder ran through me and I stopped, intent upon the extraordinary thing that was happening to me. An exquisite pleasure had invaded my senses, something isolated, detached, with no suggestion of its origin. And at once the vicissitudes of life had become indifferent to me, its disasters innocuous, its brevity illusory – this new sensation having had on me the effect which love has of filling me with a precious essence; or rather this essence was not in me it was me. … Where did it come from? What did it mean? How could I seize and apprehend it? … And suddenly the memory revealed itself.― Marcel Proust, À la recherche du temps perdu

One might agree with Marcel Proust that there is a feeling of exquisite pleasure that invades one’s senses, and such is the experience of encountering Atelier des Ors Blue Madeleine for the first time. It unfolds with a leisurely grace, evoking comforting memories and emotions—a gentle invitation to savor tea at the villa, the luxurious universe of Atelier des Ors. It is true to the art of living.

From the first sip, your olfactory palate is caressed by the soft milkiness that tames the tannins in the black tea. The milk note is creamy, velvety goodness that smooths out the edges and mellows the tea just enough without diluting its bold personality. It’s the perfect balance of smooth and sharp, a culinary yin and yang that keeps you returning for more. The rich black tea mingles with spicy, gourmand cinnamon, creating an aroma that can swoon any tea snob. Add the savory sweetness of praline to the base, along with Peru balsam, and it becomes one scrumptious madeleine, those little scallop-shell pastries dipped in tea—a phenomenal addition to the Memory Lane Collection, standing proudly alongside Villa Primerose.

Notes: Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Cinnamon, Rose Centifolia (infusion pays), Black Tea, Milky note, Cade, Peru Balsam, Praline, Sandalwood

Atelier Des Ors Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine were kindly gifted by Atelier des Ors but opinions are always my own.

Atelier Des Ors is a house I neglected for a while but that ended at the beginning of this year upon getting Rouge Saray. Live how each bottle now is a different color reflecting not only the fragrance inside but telling a story. Out of the 2, I will say I’m leaning more towards Blue Madeleine as I love gourmands and this is that territory for me and the one I’d like to win if chosen. The inspiration behind each fragrance is crystal clear and the memories also that Jean Philippe Clermont wants us to create. I can picture myself drinking a cup of tea in a tucked away villa in the middle of France while wearing Blue Madeleine, that sort of experience you only dream of. The gold flakes inside the bottles also add to the luxury of the house and the memories to be forged. Cheers from USA.

Of the two, my pick would be Blue Madeleine. It sounds amazing. I agree that fragrance creates so much pleasure, evokes many memories and emotions. I am in CA, USA.

“I had a vision of what I wanted to create and I felt that there was a place for my dream.” What a magical life of olfactory memories!

  • How fortunate Jean-Phillipe Clermont was to grow up a world citizen & how that has influenced his art direction of Atelier Des Ors.
Olya’s writing of the wine like quality of Villa Primerose struck a chord in my heart. The golden hour, sipping a La Piscine ( Provençal rose over ice) is such a pleasure after a day spent outdoors wherever you are. Raspberry, rose & leather with the tingly fizz of pink pepper sounds such a happy fragrance

  • Primrose has my attention. I’m a big Rose fan and these notes sound wonderful.”Primerose pays homage to the welcoming elegance of French perfumery and its roots in Grasse, the fields” Now I’m sure it will be great. Thank you for this chance USA

Thank you for the lovely writeup!

Had a chance to try this house before (Iris Fauves) and I really enjoyed what they did with the scent.

I strongly lean towards tea fragrances and Blue Madeleine sounds like a wonderful time having high tea with the perfumer who created the scent.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Laurentiu says:

I am not a person who is very keen on the bottles, but I must admit that Blue Madeleine is really eye catching! Just by looking at the bottle is like I am watching the clouds, like I am envoloped in an ethereal, light and worryless feeling. The notes are right up my alley too! Milk, praline, black tea and cinnamon sounds like an intriguing and interesting combo!
    Thank you!

  • I think Atelier des Ors is an outstanding house and I’m surprised you don’t hear more about them on social media. They have some absolute gems. Lune Feline, Rouge Saray, Cuir Sacre, and Iris Fauve are all amazing. I love the idea of this new collection focusing on specific memories and experiences. As mentioned in Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s article, he stated this all began as a way for him to channel the craftmanship and love for creation that was passed through his family. His earliest inspirations were scents from the various places he has lived, such as spices in Lebanon or cigars in Paris. It’s obvious that his personal history and experiences are very important to him and I think it’s just wonderful that he putting those experiences into a bottle for us all to enjoy. Of these two, I think Blue Madeleine would be my choice. I love tea fragrances and I love the idea of a milky, spiced black tea with nuances of vanilla and praline. Sounds absolutely delectable. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

Triggering past memories and forging future ones is one of the facets I enjoy most with fragrances. My mom, who I lost when I was only 10 years old, used to splash herself after a bath/shower with Jean Nate back in the early/mid 70’s. To this day, if I smell this, it instantly takes me back to the warmth of those moments with my mother 🙂 Very powerful.
I like the concept of the “Memory Lane” collection. I’m already a fan of the quality of Atelier Des Ors (Rouge Saray and Lune Feline). Both fragrances sound quite alluring. For me I like the Iris and leather notes of Blue Madeleine and my wife loves a lactonic note such as listed in Villa Primerose. If I were to win the giveaway, my choice would be Villa Primerose for my beautiful bride with the home of us forging a new scent memory 🙂

  • I love how tangible Olya’s descriptions are. By reading her words, one can almost feel the fizzy, smooth texture of the rosé wine on the lips, as well as the voluptuous, warming sip of rich black tea. She just has a talent to bring those sensations closer to you – from the “paper”, almost in your body.
Were I lucky enough to win, I would go for Blue Madeleine – Apart from the Proustian association, the milky black tea with a pinch of cinnamon and the aroma of praline beneath the surface, just calls my name.
    I live in the EU.

  • Wow, that is a hard job, trying to pick between the two. I think possibly Blue Madeleine slightly edges the win. In maryland.

This is such a lovely review ! Primrose has my attention. I’m a big Rose fan and these notes sound wonderful.”Primerose pays homage to the welcoming elegance of French perfumery and its roots in Grasse, the fields” Now I’m sure it will be great. From PA,USA

  • Once again all the Cafleurebon information made me wonder, and think for a moment

I am even a greater fan of the oriental cuisine and the smell of the shisha.Back in Paris, I worked with fine handmade cigars and it was here that I really began to be intrigued by the world of scent. The smell of the cigars with their scented smoke involved a search for the perfect blend of materials that delivered an incredible odour.
    -Jean-Phillipe Clermont

Where I should even start with this time ?!? Should I start with his passion for art , craftsmanship and beauty , the special memories growing up in French countryside in Brittany , or maybe the emotional connection with Middle Eastern culture and cuisine ,all are equally important for the forming of Jean-Phillipe Clermont identity as brand owner.
Thanks to Olya Bar I know both Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine are special, showing up the elegance of French perfumery . Not just one but the two are bubbly and delicious i can feel it , the soft milkiness , the black tea and the gourmand cinnamon and exotic treats like praline.. I came to realization I’ll enjoy Blue Madeleine a bit more

Olya, firstly is a wonderful writer. I’m new to this community here but it’s always a joy reading the remarkable dissections of each fragrance being reviewed. Quite an elegant style, one that’s made me interested in notes and compositions I otherwise might’ve overlooked! I’m a fan of Rouge Saray and Pomelo Riviera but wasn’t horribly familiar with their other scents, and they sound terrific.

A note on Jean-Philippe Clermont’s article: it’s abundantly clear how much love and intention he puts into the brand, which is quite refreshing these days. I also thought it was quite fascinating how Marie Salamagne seemingly has some sort of synesthesia with scent and color. Fragrances are not just pyramids, but paintings with deep nuance. Iris can be purple or it can be pale grey!

If I were to win, I’d like Blue Madeleine! I live in Brooklyn, NY.

Thank you for the words 🙂

I adore this line’s bottles and the flecks of gold. Both of these sound so dreamy. If I am the lucky winner I would choose Blue Madeleine because I love those cookies. I love the part of the article about Mr. Clermont and the pear jam at his grandmothers. I have such fond memories of my great grandmother’s crab apple jelly making. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • I know I’m late to the party but I discovered this house this year! I recently bought Lune Feline after hearing nothing but good things and it was a successful blind buy. Their bottles are so gorgeous. I think this house will take all of my money this year. It would be nice to win this giveaway. I would love to try these two releases! Blue Madeleine sounds right up my alley! From USA

The brand of Atelier des Ors i do know, the talanted Marie Salamagne too and i just found out about Villa Primrose, Blue Madeleine and Jean-Phillipe Clermont early steps into perfumery, so interesting
Other than a businessman Jean-Phillipe Clermont traveled all over the world, which I believe changed his perspective quite a lot even though he said he’s love for tradition and heritage comes from his Breton roots. I do understand there more meaningful words i can directly quote, but since Atelier des Ors I strongly associate with Musc Immortel it was interesting to learn it was as first limited edition made for Harrods in London:

    Jean-Phillipe Clermont
One is called Iris Fauve that we showed at Pitti Fragranze in September and the other is Musc Immortel that will be an exclusive limited release at Harrods in London.

Like Olya Bar said perfumes can trigger past memories and forge future ones, I have a lot of past memories with Musc Immortel and I’ll continue to forge future ones too .
Tea , praline and milk are favorites of mine, let alone how Olya Bar said Blue Madeleine is like exquisite pleasure that invades one’s senses, wonderful fragrance i’d pick if lucky.
Thank you very much Atelier des Ors and Jean-Phillipe Clermont, and special thanks to Olya Bar for the hard work

  • I hope you don’t mind mentioning him so often, just like many , and I really mean many other brands , I also discovered Atelier des Ors while watching Redolessence videos. He spoke of Rose Omeyyade in one of his Top10 videos , it’s so magnificent i had to buy a bottle.
Thanks to Olya Bar this time , with the help of Jean-Phillipe Clermont i started thinking about all kinds of warm and fun moments I’d like to experience in the Summer , from buttery brioche ,toasted almonds and fruity notes in Villa Primrose to the savory sweetness, soft milk and black tea in Blue Madeleine , two distinct experiences.

When I first started Atelier Des Ors I didn’t really look too hard at what others were doing. I had a vision of what I wanted to create and I felt that there was a place for my dream.- Jean-Phillipe Clermont

Such a visonaire with a clear concept of what he wants and how to achieve it , love it.
My pick would be Blue Madeleine
    Thank you, and fingers crossed

  • What I enjoyed about the review of Atelier Des Ors’ Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine, was the vivid and detailed descriptions of the scents – one can almost smell/ taste them, along with a remembrance of past good things.
Olya’s evocative portrayal of Blue Madeleine, with its blend of smoky tea, spices, and gourmand notes, beautifully captured the essence of nostalgic yet sophisticated smells. Oh, and the blue hues of the bottle Additionally, the narrative around Villa Primerose’s blend of floral and leathery notes highlighted Atelier des Ors’ homage to quality and modern elegance in perfumery.
If I should be so lucky to win, I’d choose Blue Madeleine.
Thanks for the review and the draw, from EU.

  • I love how Jean-Phillipe Clermont describes the smells thad excited him in every city or country he lived in.
Olya beautifully describes two perfumes that refer to two different smell memories. The quote from Marcel Proust is so evocative! But as a rose lover, I eould choose Villa Primerose, the sparkling rosé rose!

The idea of speaking with perfumers and brand founders adds another layer of enjoyment to the whole ballgame

“I first met Marie Salamagne, the perfumer for the range through a friend. On our first meeting we talked about art, craft and perfume and it was clear that she was the right choice to create the perfumes for Atelier Des Ors. She talks about creating perfumes like paintings”

I can emphasize to the Atelier des Ors founder , to click with someone on the first meeting is so rare, so special and I’m glad Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne bonded so well that they continue to work together after all these years.
Villa Primrose is a fragrance based on sparkling rose from a French vineyard, fizzy playful and with buttery brioche feel , Blue Madeleine on the other hand is based on gourmand cinnamon, savory sweetness, soft milk and black tea.
When I read about the perfect balance between smooth and sharp , and the rich black tea…I just knew I had to choose Blue Madeleine
Thank you Jean-Phillipe Clermont , Olya Bar, and also thank you for the generosity

My choice would be Blue Madelaine. I love the note of cinnamon. Not sure if I ever tried a fragrance with a milk note in it. This brand is super classy and would love to get my nose on this one.

From the article my takeaway was wow, what a wonderful childhood. He learned so much from his grandparents and from his travels, very inspiring.

Very hard to choose between the two, but I feel that Blue Madeleine would suit my tastes better. I really liked this part about it: It unfolds with a leisurely grace, evoking comforting memories and emotions.
Thank you for the draw and the reviews! Good luck to everyone!

  • Olya does an incredible job describing and highlighting the gourmand aspects of these fragrances. Really like the inspiration behind the fragrance and how much it shines through into the fragrance. Beautiful bottle as always from Atelier des Ors and if I were to win I would have to pick Blue Madeleine just based on personal preference.

  • Ah yes I remember Jean-Phillipe Clermont‘a article and so good to re-read it! I always thought about how the Crystal flacons used in the house are rooted in his grandparents China and Crystal business. And his time in Lebanon and beyond definitely brought forth Rose Omeyyade and others! It’s amazing how he brought so many aspects of his family, travels, various cuisines and scents, his mothers paintings (and the colors imbued in the last few releases), the gold flecks and living in Dubai… you start to see the reflections of his life. So beautifully done. I would love either but being a true devotee of tea notes I will pick the Blue Madeleine please.
I am located in USA thank you for the double chance!

    Hello from UK
All nuances of Jean-Phillipe Clermont journey do have a familiar tune , from his childhood in the Brittany, to growing up with he’s mom’s paintings, table glass and time spent with he’s grandparents. He traveled a lot, learned a lot while keeping his sight forward and never looked back. I’m impressed how he started with selling seashell necklaces to parents friends , and now he owns a well-known and respected company like Atelier des Ors.
I’d love to win Blue Madeleine , based on Jean-Phillipe Clermont journey , Olya Bar sterling work , my love for milk tea , and my previous experience with Atelier des Ors , delighted owner of Iris Fauve , in my opinion one of the best iris fragrances on the market. As regards to the smell of the fragrance, every Brit would tell you Blue Madeleine feels so British , milk tea is normally made with black tea base . The milk helps to balance out , and smoothen up the flavor
    Thank you so much

Olya’s reviews of Atelier Des Ors Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine are beautifully evocative, transporting the reader to a world of luxurious scents and nostalgic memories. I particularly enjoyed her vivid descriptions that liken Villa Primerose to a sparkling rosé and Blue Madeleine to a creamy, indulgent tea experience. If I had to choose, I’d opt for Blue Madeleine, as the combination of black tea, creamy milk, and praline sounds irresistibly comforting and sophisticated.

The takeaway about the brand from Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s article: “There are some early memories of specific smells from this time that I can recall. My grandmother made pear jam from their harvest at their countryside house. The pear trees were organic and very old. The “Gateau Petit Duc”, home made caramel and “œufs au lait” deserts were always cooking and the smell filled her home each time I visited her for holidays.“

  • Blue Madeleine, what an emotion this perfume is, the description transported me to a beautiful place and this is the magic that only REAL perfumes can create. I own nothing of this sophisticated brand and Blue Madelaine, in “perfect balance between soft and spicy” is my favorite, a dream perfume and will remain so.

  • I’d like to catch a plane to Grasse , and discover the new Atelier des Ors Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine, maybe even take a trip to the new headquarters in the magnificent house from the 1886.
My takeaway from Jean-Phillipe Clermont article is that he’s a self driven person striving for continuous improvement and knowledge. Dreaming big is a must for him , and the his tradition and heritage affinity are based on his appreciation for the region of Breton, the place where he grew up.
Rose Omeyyade is spectacular opulent fragrance i own , winning Blue Madeleine would be awesome. The savory sweetness of praline and the milky black tea are what drew me to it.
    Thank you very much

I need to try Memory Lane Collection , the two are different, from playful fruity and floral Villa Primrose to more enigmatic Blue Madeleine composition, predominately lactonic fragrance with velvety leather and Sea Shell Madeleines dipped into black tea aroma . Thank you Olya for all the beautiful and delicious culinary references 🙂

“There are some early memories of specific smells from this time that I can recall. My grandmother made pear jam from their harvest at their countryside house. The “Gateau Petit Duc”, home made caramel and “œufs au lait” deserts were always cooking and the smell filled her home each time I visited her for holidays.”

My takeaway about the brand we had to post , I’m certain Jean-Philippe Clermont is my kind of guy for how much he loves and appreciates food , and how dedicated he is. If you’re curious, and not familiar with culinary terminology

☆ “Gateau Petit Duc” is moist and delicate gluten-free cake Calisson Cake , made with calisson paste , it’s made of almonds, sugar, candied cantaloupe and orange
☆ “œufs au lait” is similar to Crème Brûlée.

Lune Feline and Rose Omeyyade are part of my collection
☆ Lune Feline is fantastic vanilla fragrance, to me smells like Cinnamon and Cardamom Rolls, and it’s also quite smoky too
☆ Rose Omeyyade reminds me Pistachio & Rose water Semolina Cake with real rose water , and raspberries on top of it.
My choice would be Blue Madeleine
I highly appreciate the mass amounts of culinary references by Olya and Jean-Phillipe Clermont , I shared a few of my own, the two reviews, and the giveaway campaign

  • In Lebanon (where I lived for two years) there were more delicious aromas with oriental pastries and necklaces of jasmine flowers sold in the street by market sellers. The food was really incredible – zaatar (mix of spices used in Oriental Cuisine) manakishe and all the oriental mezze but also the Turkish cuisine with its variety of Ottoman dishes and fish from the Bosphorus. I still think of a sumptuous lamb ragout with quinces. My work took me to the Middle East and then I set up my home in Dubai where I have lived until recently. I am now back in France living in the sunny South. I am fascinated by Jean Phillipe Clermont experience of living in Lebanon and the smell of scented cigars awakened a sense the find perfect blend of materials that delivered an incredible odour. Splendid approach, I like such inside information I can’t find anywhere else other than Cafleurebon .I believe Atelier des Ors founder believes that through fragrances he can spread passion and artistry at once, indirectly pointing out to his own character. Jean-Phillipe Clermont definitely likes virtuous fragrances , unique olfactory experiences while making people happy.
I find impressive how Olya Bar was able to merge elegance, Jean-Phillipe Clermont dreams and adventures , Marie Salamagne and the artistry of both Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine in one excellent article. Even though the two new fragrances are different they still share the luxury vacation feel.
Took me some time to decide and because of the bolder personality, black tea with milk and scrumptious madeleines i believe I’d enjoy Blue Madeleinea more .

  • I have never had the privilege of trying Atelier ‘s creations, but Des Ors Villa Primerose with its sparking rose and Blue Madeline with its afternoon tea appeal both tickle my fancy! Rose is my flower of choice, and tea is a daily ritual. Thanks for the insight into Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s story. How interesting that it was his work with cigars that developed his keen sense of fragrance blends! Thanks you for this generous draw. I live in NH, USA.

  • I enjoy utolizimg perfume to trigger memories. Time spent with loved ones or a memorable holiday are events that I associate with certain scents. Villa Primerose seems to take its inspiration from the Grasse countryside with notes of rose, fruit, toasted leather and wine like aromas.

From the article: “I developed Atelier Des Ors to bring my passion for art, refined craftsmanship and beauty together. In competition are played with a time control, Jean-Phillipe Clermont had all the time prior to develop all his skills, starting with his French Countryside childhood in Brittany, moving to the French West Indies , Lebanon, Dubai and then back to Paris France.
I like how he was not really bothered by what others were doing, but was able to ignite the interest of fragrance enthusiasts worldwide by his own style and methods.
The milkiness taming the black tea , savory sweetness in the base and the balsams are making Blue Madeleine so addictive , i can’t even imagine how good it is. Absolutely I’d like to win a bottle
I’m based in EU , thanks

Since Rose Omeyyade is my fave , and Jean-Phillipe Clermont complex multicultural nature is very much similar to mine I’d like to say I’m thankful for the chance of winning fragrances like Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine.
Taking into consideration my impressions of the awesome Jean-Phillipe Clermont article , i’m convinced he’s not just an adventurer but also a passionate dreamer , and to a great extent a gentleman.
I drink milk tea every single day, and my choice would be Blue Madeleine, it’s vital to me that the fragrance is made by Marie Salamagne because she is also the perfumer who created Rose Omeyyade, out of this world rose fragrance. The milk tea , praline and the perfect balance of smooth and sharp are setting the bar very, very high.
    Many thanks , UK

  • Another giveaway, another pleasing experience, another Wow
Both Olya Bar reviews and Jean-Phillipe Clermont autobiographical type of read are so vivid and full of positive energy .
Remembering his first steps in France countryside, his journey is Lebanon , Dubai and currently enjoying his permanent pit stop in Grasse , what a journey.
I think Jean-Phillipe Clermont genuinely looking to craft soul rewarding experiences not only for him, but for the buyers too.
It seems like Marie Salamagne shares the same or similar values with him because of the long term partnership between them.
Both Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine are equally as good . The reason I’d like to win Blue Madeleine more is that I already own one Atelier des Ors fragrance with similar vibe like Villa Primrose, it’s called Pink Champagne, the two share the rose , the iris and the musk.
I bet Blue Madeleine would surprise me greatly because of the gourmand cinnamon on top of black tea and soft milkiness , soulful fragrance , I’m hooked
Thank you for the whole experience.

    Salutations
It could be my impressions only but I believe most people associate Atelier des Ors with Lune Feline , super sexy , smoky and addictive vanilla fragrance.
It was a pleasure reading about Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine, and I’ve learned a lot of Jean-Phillipe Clermont passionate character.
What grabbed me the most today , in no particular order a) Jean-Phillipe Clermont ambition to grow b) the fact that he’s not looking for what other brands are doing c) his inventiveness d) his desire to create variety of different sophisticated fragrances , from bubbly and delicious, to darker and sexy e) how jubilant and happy is the new set of two f) how the time spent with he’s grandparents inspired him to think about the importance of craftsmanship behind objects
Blue Madeleine fits me well, I like to drink my milk tea with organic cinnamon stick in it , occasionally dipping different pastries in the tea
    It’s been a pleasure

Olya sparked my interest in Villa Primerose with “The finish is like a signature of well-crafted sparkling rosé. It leaves a delicate lingering impression with subtle floral nuances that invite another spritz.”
Blue Madeleine also sounds interesting; “It’s the perfect balance of smooth and sharp, a culinary yin and yang that keeps you returning for more.” but I would choose Villa Primerose.

Regarding the article about the brand from Jean-Phillipe Clermont, I love how he was influenced by different parts of the world with their specific scents and the reason for creating this brand:” I developed Atelier Des Ors to bring my passion for art, refined craftsmanship and beauty together. My dream is to create perfumes that fuse together these elements to give the wearer something they will be proud to wear, will take pleasure in and find some inspiration at any given moment.”

Atelier des Ors is a brand I really like Rose Omeyyade , Lune Feline and Rouge Saray are all fantastic, and the idea of winning Villa Primerose or Blue Madeleine is thrilling .
My takeaway of Atelier des Ors is based mostly on the quote
“moved to the French West Indies and it was quite a shock for me, however I think it was also good too, as I realised I could be a global citizen in the world. I graduated from an International Business school and travelled for some time to explore the world. I was drawn to Asia and the Middle East. I also lived in Singapore and Beirut where I really fell in love with the culture in the Middle East, the literature, music, poetry, food and the lifestyle.”
Living abroad for a long time always changes your perspective, Jean-Phillipe Clermont can view the world from a few different angles , like he said it himself , French classicism with different reinterpretations.
All the pieces are there in Blue Madeleine, Olya grabbed my attention with the culinary Yin and Yang reference , rich black tea , cinnamon and soft milkiness.
Rose Omeyyade is my favorite Atelier des Ors , beautiful fragrance i bought it because of Despina Veneti Cafleurebon review, I hope she’ll come back at some point
    Overly exciting giveaway, USA

  • “The quest for beauty and refined aesthetics are key for Atelier des Ors and we don’t like to compromise”
    – Jean-Phillipe Clermont

It’s not just about high-end fragrances but in general really like when owners approach businesses not like a salesman , but more like connoisseurs thinking about future buyers, and how to please them with the best product possible.
It has been a pleasure learning about every step Jean-Phillipe Clermont made , from spending time with grandparents who inspired him to think about the importance of craftsmanship, to his love for Middle Eastern cuisine, gold and Paris.
I’m a fan of beautiful things, opulent aura, tea and tea fragrances , pralines, creativity , and I’ll be happy to win Blue Madeleine

  • Olya’s reviews of Atelier Des Ors Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine are captivating and beautifully descriptive. The way she portrays Blue Madeleine as evoking comforting memories with its blend of black tea, cinnamon, and praline is enchanting. The creamy, velvety notes mixed with the rich tea and spicy gourmand elements sound like a sensory delight. If I win, I would love to experience Blue Madeleine. I live in Paris France. Thank you for the chance!

  • I’ve been very excited about Atelier Des Ors’ newest releases, Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine. The way Olya describes Villa Primerose makes it sound divine. I’m intrigued by the effervescence combined with a subtle nuance of buttery brioche and toasted almonds. I also love her comment, “a slight minerality emerges as you inhale, reminiscent of wet stones after a summer rain”. Petrichor is one of my all-time favorite smells, so this makes me want to try Villa Primerose even more. However, Blue Madeleine sounds equally stunning. The milk and tea notes are some of my favorites. I do love a good Madeleine, so if Olya says it reminds her of them, this is a must-try for me.

I also love the art that was paired with the fragrances, and the colors of the bottles are perfect! It is almost impossible to pick one, as they both sound so beautiful. However, I would choose to win a bottle of Blue Madeleine since I’ve been loving tea fragrances at the moment.

Thank you, Olya, for the beautiful review, and thank you to Atelier Des Ors for the generous giveaway. I am located in the USA.

Also, thank you for another chance to gain a second entry! I read the article about Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Atelier Des Ors. “In Lebanon (where I lived for two years) there were more delicious aromas with oriental pastries and necklaces of jasmine flowers sold in the street by market sellers”- this sounds amazing! I can imagine how good the combination of pastries with jasmine flowers would have been. Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s final comment about creating a very specific project has me quite curious! I wonder what it was, or if it has not come to fruition yet. Regardless, this was an interesting read.

  • The bottles are gorgeous! I do love the cookies (madeleines) so it is only natural that my choice of the two is Blue Madeleine. Even if I do not win, I hope I will be able to try this one. The notes seem fun!
    Many thanks! Europe

  • Blue Madeleine is my choice! I loved Olya’s reviews of Atelier Des Ors Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine. Her vivid descriptions transported me into the luxurious and nostalgic experiences of these fragrances. The imagery of Villa Primerose as a sparkling rosé and Blue Madeleine’s comforting tea with creamy milk notes were particularly captivating. If I were to win, I’d choose Blue Madeleine for its rich, balanced notes that evoke a cozy, luxurious tea experience.

A note on Jean-Philippe Clermont’s article: What moved me about Jean-Phillipe’s approach to perfume is his dedication to blending art, refined craftsmanship, and beauty. His vision of creating perfumes that not only smell exquisite but also evoke deep emotions and memories is truly inspiring. His ability to draw from his rich background and life experiences to craft unique and meaningful scents is remarkable.

I live in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

  • Rose is always going to be a hard sell for me – my nose always magnifies it and it’s sadly one of my least favourite notes. However the “slight minerality emerges as you inhale, reminiscent of wet stones after a summer rain” sounds lovely – if only I could distill that part!
Blue Madeleine sounds much more up my street. I see rose in the notes, but not in the review, so perhaps a background note. The description of “rich black tea mingles with spicy, gourmand cinnamon, creating an aroma that can swoon any tea snob” particularly caught my interest – along with the smoothing lactonic notes, it sounds delicious!
I would choose Blue Madeleine and I’m in the UK.

  • Ville Primerose sounds effervescent and delightful – I’d love a chance at that one. I’m in the USA.

  • Yess, I am so excited for this giveaway, love Atelier des Ors brand and own a few but not Villa Primerose or Blue Madeleine. I think I would prefer Villa Primerose if I won.
Thank you @cafleurabon and Atelier des Ors for the generous gift.

I love how the things worked out for Jean-Phillipe Clermont , knowledgeable and dedicated guy who founded Atelier des Ors. Through a lot of hard work and dedication he was able to expand and develop so much that in 2024 the brand is highly respected in the fragrance community.

I wanted to bring the search for perfection to everything we do at Atelier Des Ors. The craftspeople involved in the making of the perfume, the boxes and the bottles are very important as they bring techniques they have learned over time and seek to improve them generation after generation. We have also chosen to work with great raw materials at every stage and we try to find the right balance for the perfect solution.
    From Jean-Phillipe Clermont essay

I really like how Jean-Phillipe reaches high, for the fragrance stars and definitely dreams big knowing his goals. Settling down is not an option for him, he follows his passion, not afraid to work hard and sacrifice. Such mindset is not allowing anyone to limit your dreams.
I own Lune Feline dark woody vanilla, Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine are so very different more French, fizzy, effervescent and comforting. Blue Madeleine matches my style greatly, the velvety goodness of the milk ,the rich black tea and the scrumptious madeleines like Olya Bar stated are true to the art of living
    Thanks a bunch

  • Profound respect for people like Jean-Phillipe Clermont, who have high standards and goals , yet do not forget where he came from
《 We pay special attention to every detail and work on each perfume as if it was a piece of art. Perfume in itself can also be considered as a “métiers d’art”. This is very important. I like to say that Atelier Des Ors is grounded in the French classicsm but we are reinterpreting our heritage with a modern twist.》
Reading Jean-Phillipe Clermont article , learning how he started , why exactly he decided to use only top of the line ingredients , paying attention to every detail made me think perfumery is an art first for him first , and not just a business . He and the very talented Marie Salamagne engineered a lot of magnificent fragrances.
Keeping in mind the zealous examination of Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine by Olya Bar i know they did some splendid work once again.
Blue Madeleine is elaborate lactonic fragrance, with black tea, cinnamon and pastries of a different kind, smooth fragrance I really like to win
On top of that i do have a favorite Atelier des Ors fragrance Iris Fauve
    Thank you kindly, from EU

  • I’ll start my takeaway about the brand and Jean-Phillipe Clermont with a quote from the article

“The quest for beauty and a refined aesthetic are key for Atelier Des Ors and we do not like to compromise. The gold that we incorporate in our bottles symbolises the pursuit of perfection and the search for the absolute in ancient times.”

Unquestionably dedication is a must for the 21st century dire competition, and expectations are beyond high for everyone , in particular for niche fragrance brands.
I believe a lot of fragrance brand owners main goal is push fragrances fast , but Jean-Phillipe actually feels the need to create and design the best fragrances possible , everything needs to be perfect. Marie Salamagne accepts nothing nearly right or good enough , the reason Jean-Phillipe decided to work with them long time ago, and they are still going strong.
Judging by the detailed introduction with the new home of the brand in Grasse , and Olya Bar honest opinion all makes me believe two leave of absence delicious fragrances are already on the market . Both Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine other than cozy fragrances do have marvelous looking bottles too .
Who doesn’t want to dip scallop-shell pastries in milk tea with cinnamon, i sure do 🙂 Blue Madeleine would be my choice

I believe it’s easy to say Jean-Phillipe Clermont is working his dream job , which is so rare. His grandparents foster his leadership and learning about craftsmanship, and showed him if you want to be successful in this world and at the same time be happy , you have to follow your passion first not a paycheck. The idea of adding gold flakes in the bottle only comes to show the creative part of Jean-Phillipe Clermont character.
I knew Atelier des Ors before I read the two articles , and I enjoyed learning about Marie Salamagne

  • I adored the comparison of the Villa Primerose to a glittering wine and the Proust quote sparks even more interest in the Blue Madeleine. I will probably get a sample of Villa Primerose myself as it intrigues, but I think the Blue Madeleine is more my style. I live in the USA.

  • Memory Lane Collection Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine do possess a peculiar homey atmosphere, way more serene in comparison to all the fragrances from the original Black collection. Two together are almost made for the times I’m in need to reduce the levels of stress in my body
Olya reviews made me think of green lawn , and me laying down leisurely , drinking milk tea and reading a book .
I read the Jean-Philippe Clermont article, and my takeaway , with a quote is:
“I also lived in Singapore and Beirut where I really fell in love with the culture in the Middle East, the literature, music, poetry, food and the lifestyle.”
Such an amazing experience, and path he had , enjoying not just creating exclusive fragrances but the traveling, the food , and basically all aspects of life to the fullest .
I’m aware of the original Black collection only and Iris Fauve, Rose Omeyyade , Lune Feline and Rouge Saray stood up to me the most, at the end Iris Fauve is what I decided to buy.
    Blue Madeleine would be awesome
    Thanks for the draw

  • I’m captivated by what I just read , French classicism and vineyards , variety of different desserts , two new vibrant fragrances , Jean-Phillipe Clermont professional and personal autobiography , job well done
I can’t help but to be impressed how Jean-Phillipe Clermont was able to achieve so much , without carrying much about the competition , my main takeaway. It’s appears that Moe is drama-free happy person focused on desire to improve , and to give Atelier des Ors customers the best fragrances possible.
I find Villa Primrose delightful for the fresh tart rose ,waxy iris and buttery brioche , and Blue Madeleine for the leisurely grace , soft milkiness, gourmand cinnamon and of course the black tea.
Other than wanting to win Blue Madeleine just a bit more , I’d also love to visit the new Atelier Des Ors headquarters in Grasse , the magnificent house from 1886 , it would be so much fun

  • Olya’s reviews of Atelier Des Ors Villa Primerose and Blue Madeleine beautifully capture the essence and emotional depth these fragrances offer. I particularly enjoyed how Olya drew parallels between Villa Primerose and a sparkling rosé, vividly describing the vibrant and playful character that evokes memories of sun-ripened raspberries, roses, and leather. The analogy of its effervescence and minerality is truly evocative and paints a delightful sensory picture.

Regarding Blue Madeleine, Olya’s reference to Marcel Proust’s famous madeleine moment perfectly encapsulates the nostalgic and comforting nature of the fragrance. Her description of the creamy, velvety milk note balancing the rich black tea and spicy cinnamon creates a mouth-watering imagery that speaks directly to the heart and senses. The luxurious blend of praline and Peru balsam adds to the allure, making it sound irresistibly scrumptious.

    Howdies people
I’m found of how you decided to combine two different reflections on Atelier des Ors , Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne , one from 2016 and one from 2024 in a singular experience for the readers , magnificent idea
The right way to start is with the past , and then go to the present time.
Apparently Jean-Phillipe Clermont was a bright mind at young age with interest in art and creativity , soaking all kinds of knowledge by his parents and grandparents. It’s clear that they taught him well , and he developed passion for craftsmanship and beauty together.
By his words alone I can tell in Marie Salamagne he found not just a great perfumer , but a soul mate.
“Marie and I are going to explore the link between painting, music and perfume and the use of gold in art. I can’t wait to bring it alive!”
Returning from 2016 to 2024 the approach and goals of Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne are still the same ,triggering past and forging memories.
Villa Primerose is elegant rose ,leather and iris fragrance, on the flip side Blue Madeleine possesses bolder personality with rich black tea, cinnamon and milk.
The evoking comforting memories and emotions Blue Madeleine I’d choose if I win.

I love tea scents, but haven’t found one to truly capture my heart. Blue Madeleine sounds intimate, comforting and sophisticated. “a culinary yin and yang” is beautifully said. I’ve never owned anything from Atelier des Ors, but I’ve wanted Lune Feline (of course) for a while now. Reading the second article, the account of the brand by Jean-Phillipe Clermont, I was immersed in the land of his childhood. The tales of goblins and druids superimposed on the foggy scenery conjure up such vivid imagery… This is my favorite series from Cafleurebon, getting to know the lives of perfumers is always interesting to me. Thank you, writing from Romania

  • WillRhodes says:

Thank you for reviewing these two fantastic offerings from Atelier Des Ors, Olya… Villa Primrose is a fragrance I’m really curious about as I love perfumes that imitate wine. And in this case imagining a bubbly glass of sparkling rose really strikes me. And the nuance you mentioned of buttery brioche and toasted almonds really sounds quite nice, and I do love how Iris can evoke so many different things and this case its buttery facets have summoned something so delightful.
And on the other hand, Blue Madelaine being tea focused, more gourmand with its milky character balancing out the richness of the black tea. How cool, the praline and balsam conjuring the experience of a delicious pastry to perfectly complement its cup of milky tea. Scrumptious indeed!

Undoubtably, I would have to choose Villa Primrose as it’s something I feel I would love to wear during these beautiful summer months, and I simply love the idea of a glass of sparkling rose over the cup of milky tea with its sweet pastry.

In Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s article I found it really fascinating where his journey into the olfactive world of fragrance began when he worked with handmade cigars, how one scent can inspire you to create, in his case the smell of the sweet tobacco, and continue to do so in so many different elements of that world. For me, the smell of the ocean has inspired me to create.

  • Both these releases sounds wonderful, but I’m especially drawn to Villa Primerose. I love rose notes in general, and Olya’s description of the minerality in the perfume has be intrigued. If I’m lucky enough to win, I’d choose Villa Primerose. I’m in MN, USA!

I have been a big fan of Atelier de Ors since I first tried Lune Feline. The quality of the fragrances produced by this house is outstanding and beautiful, as this very well-written review by Olya Bar demonstrates.
Based on what I read, both of these fragrances are beautiful, but then again, I’m a huge fan of the brand and the perfume maker Marie Salamagne. If I had the resources or the opportunity to experience this brand in-depth, I would own more from this house. Still, sadly, there are no stores in town carrying this brand, so I’m thankful for the opportunity given by Cafleurebon and Olya to learn more about it and to participate in this giveaway. And since I have to pick one of the two, I’ll choose Blue Madeleine; although this decision was tough, both bottles are beautiful, the gold flakes are just marvelous, and their notes, as described in the article, are incredibly tenting and appealing. I am commenting from Orlando, FL. USA.

I’d like to share my favorite part of thoughtful Jean-Phillipe Clermont article first

“With Atelier Des Ors the aim is to bring some mystery and aspiration to Haute Parfumerie along with poetic elegance.
We pay special attention to every detail and work on each perfume as if it was a piece of art.”

Love, love and love again. It’s remarkable that Jean-Phillipe Clermont found the work-life balance relying on artistry and elegance , in addition to always thinking outside of the box.
It’s worth nothing that in early stages of both carriers Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne saw the magnitude of each other’s potential and worked together ever since.
Like everything in real life some components of Blue Madeleine are gentle like the creamy milk , some delicious like the cinnamon and praline , others don’t know what to expect from like the black tea. The balanced Olya Bar told us about, between smooth and sharp I’m looking for the most. My choice is Blue Madeleine
    From EU. Many thanks

  • Atelier des Ors is a house that I have very limited experience with – only getting to smell it from time to time from friends during sample swaps. Blue Madelaine sounds divine, and would be totally my pick as I am a fan of tea scents! Especially black teas, and the spices mixed in as described sounds terrific! I appreciated the review for the captivating imagery you detailed.

Jean-Phillipe Clermont is such a mondain surely with its own inimitable style. His affection for art , craftsmanship and business emerged when he spent time with his grandparents and their fine table glass retail business.
Even in 2016 Jean-Phillipe was a confident optimist, he knew that Atelier Des Ors fragrances have to be different and not be influenced by other successful brands. I like how he involved not only Marie Salamagne but gold gilders and other craftspeople to his dream, so they can create together pieces of art.
Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine are two elegant fragrances , one inspired by the French perfumery and fields of roses in Grasse , and the other is invading the senses tea invitation.
Blue Madeleine sound fantastic, more than delicious, like a picnic basket with exotic pastries , milk tea , lots of fun and positive emotions .
    I lean towards Blue Madeleine

  • Perfumes with a fizzy, lifted presence are always fun to wear in hot weather, especially with some bright fruit notes. Atelier Des Ors Villa Primerose will be good for evenings out, with warm iris and a leathery amber backdrop to give the bubbly rosé presence. Blue Madeleine sounds like it’s made for cool weather—tanic black tea, lactonic creaminess, sweet spice and smoke.

And thanks to linking to the Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s article. My takeaway was how his travels impact his work in fragrance, including the smell of West Indies cuisine, markets in Lebanon, and handmade cigars.

I’m in the USA. If I were to win, I’d choose Blue Madeleine. Thanks!

When I first saw the color scheme of Villa Primrose and Blue Madeleine before reading the article I thought the two, especially Villa Primrose were somewhat connected to Pink Me Up, I was wrong and thanks to Olya I’m aware about the new Memory Lane Collection.
Villa Primerose is a tribute to elegance, art and the most beautiful flower in the world, the rose . The contrast between the rose , leather and iris i find delicate and classy.
Blue Madeleine i find both tranquil and professional, the joyous bubble of dark black tea, soften up with creamy milk and cinnamon blend is cut off for me .
To me Atelier Des Ors equals class , beauty and creativity , and my best takeaway from Jean-Phillipe Clermont’s article proves that
“I developed Atelier Des Ors to bring my passion for art, refined craftsmanship and beauty together. My dream is to create perfumes that fuse together these elements to give the wearer something they will be proud to wear, will take pleasure in and find some inspiration at any given moment.”

“I wanted to bring the search for perfection to everything we do at Atelier Des Ors. The craftspeople involved in the making of the perfume, the boxes and the bottles are very important as they bring techniques they have learned over time and seek to improve them generation after generation. We have also chosen to work with great raw materials at every stage and we try to find the right balance for the perfect solution. Through the limited editions I am very happy to be able to showcase the amazing work of our talented gold gilders. As Artisan myself, I’m a leather arts craft woman i can’t even describe how overjoyed I felt today after reading about Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne teamwork . Crafting always brings joy to the artist no questions asked. We share a lot of common objectives and principles, Jean-Phillipe Clermont , Marie Salamagne and I , I’m glad how everything summed up nicely for them .
Two comforting fragrance directry influenced by French perfumery and its roots in Grasse, so what should I choose ?
Hesitated for a bit and it would be Blue Madeleine, It’s not just the great smelling aroma with the soft milkiness, madeleines and rich black tea it’s about the culinary Yin and Yang reference by Olya Bar.

  • What differentiates Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne from a lot of other niche brands is that they are focusing on the whole package, and not just on one or two aspects. Recently i’ve seen super luxurious painted real oak boxes , fancy looking bottles with mediocre , low quality ingredients fragrances , or great fragrances with high-end ingredients but with cheap bottles and boxes. For Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie that’s unacceptable, they deliver only the best of the best from A to Z , the gold flakes in the bottles is something I’ve never seen before , kudos for the idea.
Blue Madeleine caught my eye immediately , almost started drooling because of Olya Bar scallop-shell pastries dipped in milk tea analog.

Being Atelier des Ors fanboy from the very beginning, with 6 bottles in my collection I have smelled all of their fragrances, including Villa Primerose , Blue Madeleine and the premium Extrait editions .Very few select places do carry the Extrait versions through, Jovoy, Saks and just a few others.
If I have to rate my favorite Atelier des Ors fragrances:
    1. Rose Omeyyade Extrait
    2. Lune Feline Extrait
    3. Bois Sikar / Rouge Saray
My opinion of Villa Primerose is almost the same as Olya’s, the fragrance is fizzy and playful, the strawberries , fleshy roses and the iris i can easily detect. I also get suede leather in the background, especially in the base.
Blue Madeleine I perceive a bit differently though, the black tea dominates the opening and the heart ,with some lactonic and cinnamon nuances. In the base the fragrance indeed turns sweeter , more resinous with some creamy sandalwood. I also perceive fresh rose in the background, and for some reason… decent amount of juniper.
Jean-Philippe Clermont had such a good life growing up, loving family, moving around all over the world, all he dreamed about he was able to achieve and with Marie Salamagne by his side the future of Atelier des Ors is bright.
“My grandmother made pear jam from their harvest at their countryside house”.
My Grandma was making pear jam too , may God rest her soul.
For the record if someone wondered what is the gorgeous looking box on the last picture of Jean-Phillipe Clermont article, it’s part the Exclusive combo products line where you can buy 5 fragrances you choose, and receive all hand made and painted wooden box as a compliment. Jean-Phillipe is changing the complimentary artisan boxes , the current box is in the form of black or white backgammon game.
    Blue Madeleine please

All fragrances can tell a story, some are passionate, some are sad and other do have a happy ending. We all could agree Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne synergy was beneficial for both, and lead to a happy ending. It’s excellent to know how step by step they are climbing up the ladder of their mutual dreams . Jean-Phillipe had a vision from a young age, goals, plans he achieves one by one , strive for perfection all leading to his success.
I have a keen interest in Blue Madeleine because of Jean-Phillipe cosmopolitan personality , and how delicious the scent is . I find the blend of tea , pastries, milk and cinnamon mouthwatering.

There’s no basic information on Cafleurebon, everything multidimensional and talking to brand owners and perfumers is high valued.
I wish I had a childhood like Jean-Phillipe Clermont , and such grandparents to teach me about art and crafts.
I know niche fragrances and with the fearsome competitiveness on the market i need something to really grab my attention, and the high quality raw materials, craftspeople involved in the making process and the small gold leafs in Atelier des Ors bottles did the trick for me.
Through Blue Madeleine I can book a flight tob Grasse France, drink tea with Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne whiteout actually being there. You can’t beat that 😉

Great to know Jean-Phillipe Clermont colorful personality only makes him stronger, and helps him move forward.

“We have also chosen to work with great raw materials at every stage and we try to find the right balance for the perfect solution.”

“With Atelier Des Ors the aim is to bring some mystery and aspiration to Haute Parfumerie along with poetic elegance.”

Smelling both good and unique is a must , at least for me , Jean-Phillipe Clermont like me believes fragrance is deeply personal , and what others are centered around doesn’t matter.
I’m a big fan of Marie Salamagne Bois Sikar and Pink Champagne , both i own and winning Blue Madeleine would be a dream

Even though I just recently started delving into niche perfumery with 6 bottles in total one of
which by share coincidence is Atelier des Ors Rouge Sarây
Villa Primerose feels French with all the rose from Grasse connections, but Blue Madeleine feels British to me because of the milk tea and delicious madeleines you can dip into.
In my view dedication is something anyone could learn, but with affinity for craftsmanship it has to come from within, there is no other way around. That’s als how it worked with Jean-Phillipe Clermont and Marie Salamagne
Blue Madeleine if luck is on my side

  • I am definitely drawn to the gold flakes in the bottles. “The gold that we incorporate in our bottles symbolises the pursuit of perfection and the search for the absolute in ancient times.” A tart rose with pink pepper zest is what intrigues me about Villa Primerose. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. MI USA

  • “wet stones after a summer rain” This truly spoke to me–I enjoyed the way the fragrances were described in the article. Because of the excellent writing, I know blindly that I’d enjoy Villa Primerose a lot! I’m in the EU.
From Jean-Phillipe, I enjoyed the whole article, but the most important takeaway for me is that they want a modern twist in their work–I don’t yet know their scents, and I like something modern added. 🙂
    Thank you for the giveaway!

  • I liked Olya’s comparison of Villa Primerose to a sparkling rosé; I love roses so that would be my choice of the two. USA.
