Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc (Romano Ricci) 2021+ Anticipation Draw

Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc

Is there anything more satisfying than eating a ripe pear? According to perfumer Romano Ricci, he designed Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc as a tribute to his childhood and to his favorite fruit,  noticing as a young boy its interesting shape. But this is not a ubiquitous fruity floral. In 2010, Romano Ricci created Juliette Has a Gun Not A Perfume. Not a Perfume is one of the brands most popular fragrances and Juliette Has a Gun Pear Inc follows last year’s Musc Invisible, another minimalistic scent- this time both musky and fruity. I interviewed Romano in 2012 and here is a snippet from that interview:

What was your thinking behind Juliette Has A Gun Not a Perfume? What is it then? What’s the connection to Juliette?

Romano Ricci: It is a little bit outside of the collection actually. Instead of presenting a portrait, it is focused on a particular ingredient. Not A Perfume, being made out of a single ingredient (Cetalox©), 100% synthetic, allergen free. Quite a UFO in the perfumery world.

Advertising for Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc

Romano Ricci  has been the perfumer behind the brand and has composed each fragrance (with the exception of Lady Vengeance and Miss Charming by Francis Kurkdjian in 2006). He is the great grandson of the legendary Nina Ricci and grandson to Robert Ricci, which is the equivalent to rock royalty in the fragrance world (Juliette has a Gun sounds more like a rock band than a perfume company doesn’t it?). He knew it was his destiny to become a perfumer since he was a young boy and always believed he would follow in the steps of his grandfather who has been his hero since he was a child. After Parfums Nina Ricci was sold in 2000, Romano spent six years training with an obscure company named France Fragrances without anyone recognizing his last name. He launched Juliette has A Gun in 2006 at Colette, Paris and fifteen years later it is one of the most recognized niche fragrance brands in the world. Have you wondered why so much of the brand’s advertising features a fedora? It is his own personal signature accessory  and pays homage to his  elegant grandfather. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

I love JHAG fragrances! Pear INC is Beautiful to me! I bought the sample when it was first available and I cant wait to own it! It comes off Musky, Juicy, and slightly sweet on me. I like how Sebastian described as being juicy because it is. When Mchelyn said that its not just another fruity floral, thats absolutely correct! My current favorite JHAG scent is the sweet scent of MMM.

  • I’m quite intrigued by this one. Pear is one of my favorite fruits, and the smell of a ripe pear is so, so yummy. You don’t often see pear as a note in perfume it seems as well! I also like what Sebastian said about it not being overpowering, which I think is nice for a sweeter scented perfume. Also, I loved the little bit of backstory provided about the brand, especially the reasoning behind the fedora. Nice touch!

  • Christina Fleetwood says:

I was just thinking how I needed something new and different for Summer. For THIS Summer, you follow? Exactly. And then this comes out, like the pear trees blossoming as I type this, and now my mouth is watering. I think we were meant to be together.

  • Rick Thornton says:

Have not yet tried any JHAG, but based on your description and recommendation I would like to try Pear Inc. Have purchased many of your recommendations blind, and have yet ti be disappointed.

  • Lenora Rice says:

I enjoyed Sebastian’s YouTube review about Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc., because he described this fragrance as an aromatic, juicy, and fruity fragrance. I like Sebastian’s thoughts on this fragrance being minimalistic, because sometimes I don’t want a heavy fragrance on while I am at work, or having fun! I love this fragrance has a juicy pear, musk, and ambroxan, which makes a lovely unisex fragrance for Spring/Summer months.

  • JaredBroome says:

Really good review by Sebastian especially explaining those crazy named ingredients and comparing to Escentric Molecules M.
I had no idea that Romano Ricci was the perfumer I thought someone else made them. Cool he honors his grandfather
Big fan of not a perfume

  • Kelly O'Neal says:

I most enjoyed Sabastian’s honest opinion as always and I don’t have a Pear fragrance so I would like to have it. They make a Rose fragrance I’m interested in. I did not know Romano Ricci’s background. Thank you.

  • James Keough says:

All the JHAG are so interesting, superdose is my favorite. Can’t wait to try Pear Inc.

  • miguel6gh says:

Of cos I love the review!!! Let me tell you something. JHAG is one of my favourite niche houses, so for me this is a blind buy because I know for a fact I will enjoy it!!! I wonder if it’s similar to Another 13 or inspired by it.

  • Sebastian calls it a fruity musky experience, I love pear notes and his description of this minimalistic synthetic musky fragrance. I did love learning about Romano Ricci and his starting of the brand Juliette Has A Giun, I had no idea he was Nina Ricci’s great grandson so into and the name of the brand does sound like a band. My fave scent from this house is Sunnyside Up.

  • Maxine Xu says:

Recently I’ve been really into pear notes, and as I’m researching this fragrance just came out as if they know what I’m searching for!

  • wilsonwc76 says:

I do love a fruity fragrance, so I really want to try this one. I’m intrigued by the all the musky notes that Sebastian describes. And I’m now very intrigued by Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume. I’m going to have to try that too. I didn’t know Romano Ricci, but now I’m fully intrigued! I’m in NYC.

  • Giselle Janssen says:

I love pear notes in perfumes (Pear Angelys, Vierge de Fer). I am also very partial to the teal packaging of Pear Inc…I already own Juliette’s Not A Perfume when I want to take a break from strong, beast mode fruity gourmand scents…Anyway, would love to be able to get a sample of this or a full bottle :). I do not know Romano Ricci but assume he is related to the great Nina Ricci who used to make more ethereal IMO perfumes a long time ago…

  • I am interested in this perfume! I really enjoy pear and Sebastian’s description of the perfume with the ripe pear note combined with musks. I also didn’t know about Romano Ricci and his background!

  • It was enjoyable reading about Romano Ricci. I didn’t know that he was related to Nina Ricci (love the perfume brand). Pear Inc sounds wonderful for spring. Sebastian mentioned a ripe juicy pear note that’s green. I like the idea of a minimalistic fragrance. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! Mich USA

  • Donna Vrzal says:

Sounds like something I really would enjoy wearing. It would ghost me as I go about my affairs leaving wisps of sweetness and intrigue to the delight of all I would meet and greet. I cannot wait to try this.

  • I love Sebastian’s videos because he explains the perfumes in a simply way. Juliette Has a Gun’s Pear Inc. sounds like a beautiful fragrance. I was unaware about Romano Ricci’s background but I like how Michelyn took the time to educate the readers on his story. My favorite Juliette Has a Gun fragrance is Not a Perfume and I purchased it a few years ago after I hugged a girl that was wearing it and fell in love with the scent. The ambroxan is unlike anything I had smelled before and is now one of my favorite scents. I am excited to try it added with the pear and musk scents. Pear is one of my favorite scents in a perfume as I like sweet but not floral. Musk is in my opinion the best scent to wear on the skin as it mixes well with my natural scent. I am from Houma, Louisiana and would love to try Pear Inc. and share it with my little sister who now wears Not a Perfume just as I do!

  • AleksCipri says:

I love the introduction! I didn’t know any of those things! I of course knew about the brand, but not much else. I am intrigued to read more now. I was anticipating the release of Pear Inc a lot. I really love pears and I think this is a note that could mix very well with the Juliette has a Gun minimalistic style. And after Sebastian’s review, which was just as I was hoping it will be, I know I want to try this perfume. I was hoping the pear note will be a ripe and juicy and it is! Love the details Sebastian’s review as always. I’m from Illinois, US.

  • Lisa Glennon says:

I just found your channel today! I was more into makeup but have found myself making a change to fragrance. I love the details and the informational bits you give. It was very interesting to learn about Romano Ricci, as soon as you said his name my mind went right to Nina Ricci as you were stating they are stylings. I love the way you explain the notes, what they are and how they work as well as how they differ. I am learning so much just with the couple of videos I watched. I can already start smelling things differently! I love the original Juliet has a gun! I love pear so I was looking to try this. I also just went to Twisted Lilly to buy some samples. I find a scent that I love the opening and then dislike the closing or vice versa. Still on the hunt for my “signature sent” or one that just makes my eyes roll back in my head because it smells so good. Looking forward to learning more from you. Enjoy your day!

  • jolsen1973 says:

The description of Pear Inc as a combination of musky and fruity is so intriguing to me. I am usually a hardcore gourmand fan, but Juliette Has a Gun tore me away from gourmand with Not a Perfume. There’s something about this single note that harmonizes so well with my skin’s chemistry. If Pear Inc has the muskiness of Not a Perfume AND offers a realistic, juicy portrayal of pear, I am definitely IN! I was not aware that Romano Ricci is the nose behind JHAS fragrances, but such a rich background in fragrance was bound to offer the world some fantastic masterpieces. And I enjoy all of Sebastian’s reviews whether or not the fragrance is of interest. He is so articulate and always takes the time to present a complete portrayal of each scent reviewed. Thank you to Cafleurebon and Sebastian!

  • I have been interested in this perfume since hearing about it. I appreciate Sebastian’s input as I often rely heavily on his descriptions to determine if I would like a perfume or not. I love a musky scent so this is delightful to me. When I read the perfumer was a Ricci I immediately wondered if he were related to Nina Ricci. I own mmm, Moscow mule, vanilla vibes and their discover set, although I personally do not cate for not a,perfume. Good thing I bought the discovery set, huh? In the USA.

  • Lysa Marrucca says:

Love the informative review and would love to own a drag from JHAG. Sounds like a juicy experience.

  • Barbara Heimall says:

I really love JHAG fragrances! I love layering Not A Perfume with almost every perfume I own. It really just amps up everything and makes it simply divine. My favorite from the house right now is Mmmm… And it really is MMMM!!!

  • Nicole Thomas says:

I like how Sebastian lets you know that while you get the hint of fruit in the top notes, the combination of the musks is what he enjoys. I enjoyed learning about the history of this perfume house and the incredible lineage of Robert Rocco. My favorite fragrance from this house is MMMM

  • Nicole Thomas says:

I like how Sebastian lets you know that while you get the hint of fruit in the top notes, the combination of the musks is what he enjoys. While I’m not the biggest fan of the taste of pears, I do enjoy the note in a fragrance. I think this would be a great summer scent and I’d love to own this. I enjoyed learning about the history of this perfume house and the incredible lineage of Robert Rocco. My favorite fragrance from this house is MMMM

  • As a cruelty free fragrance enthusiast, I’m always super excited for a JHAG release.

The combo of Sebastian’s video and Michelyn’s intro has just heightened my excitement for this frag! Sebastian’s review really helped my grasp the scent profile – the minimalistic juicy pear and skin scent musk. I loved hearing about Ricci’s inspiration for the scent from his childhood, and learning about his background as part of the Ricci family (so no, I hadn’t realized the connection).

I’m currently wearing JHAG Anyway, but my favorite is their Midnight Oud. An inky oud with a clean, watery rose and a slightly leathery saffron. A staple for the cold weather months for me!

  • I’m a fan of JHAG and so am familiar with Romano Rico’s background. I love that the brand continues to put out new and interesting spins on specific notes and moods. I love that Sebastian’s review compared the similar notes in this to some of the house’s other staple perfumes!

  • Paul Ransom says:

This seems very intriguing and unique. The note combinations are interesting. Sebastian described all the notes thoroughly and stated how unique and refreshing it is. He said it’s a very enjoyable fragrance that is different but very wearable. He described the various musk notes well. I never heard of Romano Ricci prior to this day but definitely know of Nina Ricci who was very popular when I was younger. I have never owned a Juliette has a gun fragrance.

  • I had no experience with Juliette Has a Gun , but enjoyed the reviews of Lady Vengeance by Christi Long , and Vanilla Vibes by Mr. Jara . Tried some , and end up buying Vanilla Vibes. Beachy , suntan lotion kind of smell, with coconut , some aquatic and salty touches, and big dose of vanilla. Almost exactly like Mr. Jara described it.
Pear INC ? Pear musc is combination I’m interested to try. Versatile every day fragrance.
I think it would be well suited for rainy weather.
    Thank you Sebastian, and Europerfumes

  • My favorite layering combo is Baccarat rouge 540 by MFK + English pear and freesia by Jo Malone. From watching the Sebastian’s review video on youtube about this new pear inc by JHAG hit my head, thinking maybe this could replace my Br540+EP&F combo. Loved the long lasting perfume that is powerful yet subtle not a perfume by JHAG so I’m really excited about this. I always bought perfumes blind ..without testing I have no time to goto the mall just to sample perfumes so Sebastian’s videos are my goto YouTube channel and
Love love love how Sebastian shows the pictures of the notes that are in the perfume THAT REALLY HELPS ME imagine how it would smell. Thank you <3

  • Roseanna O'Connor says:

This JHAG Pear Inc. sounds very interesting. I love the smell of pears and musks, so this would be right up my alley! I would be humbled to be able to try this fragrance.

  • No I didn’t know Romano Ricci’s background. I always learn from Sebastian’s reviews. I learned there are different types of musk. I do like Juliet Has A Gun as a house despite usually sticking to beast mode fragrances. I have a feeling I will really like this perfume. namaste from Texas

  • Marta E Warner says:

I’m excited to smell the pear when I’m able to, loved Sebastian’s review!!! Juliette Has A Gun, Superdose

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews, he always gives easy to digest breakdowns of fragrances and this one is no different. Romano mentioned he used synthetic materials which seems to be frowned upon but dare to be different. I had no prior knowledge of Romano’s background. I haven’t tried any from this house as of yet.

  • Touchtheincredible says:

I like how he described the smell of the pear and also when to wear the fragrance. I own Moscow Mule and enjoy it very much. This is the first im hearing of Romano Ricci.

  • Would love to have this fragrance! I loved Sebastian’s YouTube review and McHelyn’s introduction of Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc, it had great detail about the fragrance in general! One of my favorite Juliette Has A Gun fragrances is Metal Chypre! Can’t wait to try Pear Inc!

  • dizzle5050 says:

I don’t know much about fragrances right now, but I love these videos and am looking forward to learn more about them. My friend Touchtheincredible is getting me into the different types of fragrances and turned me on to your YouTube channel. Thanks for the incredible and informative videos.

  • I liked Sebastian’s video learning about the mix of the fruitiness of the pear and the murkiness. It’s cool learning about the history of the perfumer about his tribute to his favorite fruit. I don’t have a favorite fragrance from the house because I unfortunately never sampled one nor own one. I did not know the perfumer’s background.

  • I always love how friendly and thorough these video reviews are. I love Not A Perfume Superdose, but I would love to add Pear Inc to my collection too!

  • Charbel Hindi says:

Pear is a sweet and fresh aquatic fruit. I would love to try this one. I like apple notes in fragrances and know how hard it is to recreate it in perfumes, so ” Let the gun do the talking, Juliette ! ” Many thanks Sebastian for the review if you said it’s a good fragrance so I blind trust you. Best regards

  • Devin Burns says:

I really enjoy Sebastian’s descriptions and i adore Ambroxan as a note. I have actually never tried any Juliette Has A Gun Fragrances. I love his description of that juicy pear opening and I would absolutely love to try it!

  • I have a few JHAG perfumes with Moscow Mule being one of my favorites. Pear Inc seems quite interesting with its focus on Cetalox. Spring and summer is a perfect time for a fruity, musky scent. Thanks for the review Sebastian! Romano Ricci has quite the pedigree! Commenting from MD, USA.

  • It seems Juliette has a Gun has taken a different direction lately as compared to their earliest perfumes. The brand seems to prefer minimalistic, modern compositions now that are probably more popular with the customers. US

  • Just found out Juliette has a Gun from recently finding Sebastian on YouTube. I just love Not a Perfume which I bought based on Sebastian’s reviews. His description here of Pear Inc – sounds fantastic as well! He’s so through and gets me excited for new fragrances. Michelyn provided some great info on the Ricci’s as well – super cool.

  • I like the description of the various musks. I have enjoyed the samples I have tried from this house. US

  • Jennifer Smith says:

Loved Sebastian’s detailed description of unripened pear vs a ripe pear. The introduction was marvelous, I think I will love this perfume. I loved how Romano was “incognito” while he was getting trained. My favorite perfume by JHAG is Midnight Oud, it’s very different from most of the other fragrances and lasts forever on my skin.

  • Thank you Michelyn for the intro and Sebastian for the detailed description of various musk notes. I didn’t know Romano Ricci’s background before reading Michelyn’s introduction. I also have fond memories of biting into pears especially when they’re not too ripe and are crunchy and juicy. I’ve been planning on trying out Not a Perfume since learning of the house from Sebastian’s YouTube channel. Thank you for the kind giveaway. I’m in USA

  • Kayra Maciel says:

I had no idea that Romano Ricci was Nina Ricci’a great grandson! It was nice to hear the background of the company from Mchelyn’s introduction. After watching Sebastian’s video, I get a sense of what the perfume might smell like & I am eagerly awaiting to smell this one. I think it will be a perfect match to my skin. I love the original JHAG scent and as a pear lover, I am very excited for this release.

  • WaltherP99 says:

It’s pouring on the outside, and Pear Inc I would gladly wear at this moment. It will be perfect for leaves laying on the ground, and lots of rain kind of days.
I’ve been following Cafleurebon,Sebastian ,Romano and Juliette Has A Gun on IG for a long time. Yes i know Romano background.
Own full bottle of Into The Void , and i had Mmm . Into The Void is not from the same line as Pear Inc , but from more upscale line called “Luxury collection”.
    Nice giveaway, thank you.

  • Courtney Gill says:

My birthday was on April 8th and I never win anything and I LOVEEEEEEE JHAG! And I love pear fruits AND fragrances! My fav JHAG fragrance is “Lipstick Fever” and I do have a decant of “Citizens Queen” coming in the mail as well because I think I will enjoy that as well- I honestly haven’t smelled a JHAG scent I haven’t liked, but obviously they are pricey so unfortunately I can’t havw them all! (Understandably so). I love JHAG’s modern take on perfumery including different compounds in their perfumes such as Ambroxan. Their scents are light YET long-lasting, and Sebastian said that “Pear Inc” is “musk focused” and I absolutely love musk in fragrances, and like I said I love pears and I’m dying to get my nose on this perfume!!!!

  • Shorty2209 says:

Love Sebastian’s reviews and how he talks about it being woody with pear and musky touches. Didn’t know about the fedora very touching and elegant way to remember his grandfather. I did not know about his background very interesting JHG is one of my favorite perfume lines – Not A Perfume was my first perfume by the line and my everyday go to scent. I can’t wait to try Pear Inc.

  • Juliette has a gun I know because of “Mmmm” . It’s in the vain of Dior Hypnotic Poison – had to get it, since I am huge Hypnotic Poison fan.It is really sweet , and vanilla is the most prominent note.
With such colognes like Pear Inc you could easily create your own flankers , for example layering Mmmm and Pear Inc i think will freshen up the smell , summer pear and vanilla.
Having such an a name in the industry, no doubt puts some heavy burden on Romano Ricci shoulders. I too love pears
    Generous giveaway, thanks

  • I didnt know Romano Ricci’s background and that was a really interesting part of Michelyn’s introduction and is cool to know. Another interesting fact from the intro to me was that Romano Ricci has been the perfumer for every fragrance for his brand except two which were by Francis Kurkdjian. I liked in Sebastians review how he explained each of the synthetic ingredients and their scent profiles. He also explained how the fragrance behaves which ties in to those synthetic musks but also the prominent pear. It sounds really nice. Ive not tried any Juliette Has a Gun fragrances yet but this one as well as the last couple like Musc Invisible and Lipstick Fever have sounded interesting to me for more minimalistic wears as Sebastian and Michelyn mentioned. Thanks for the generous giveaway, from CT USA.

  • I’ve only heard of this company; I haven’t tried any of their releases yet. After having read from Michelyn’s intro., I’m now knowing much more about this company than before. I had only heard of Nina Ricci and not Romano Ricci before having read Michelyn’s intro. It was interesting to learn about Cetalox and other synthetic ingredients. After having watched Sebastian’s review, I’m interested in trying this fragrance, and if I get to own it, it might be the most unique fragrance that I own. I live in MD., U.S.A.

  • Props to Romano Ricci for not using his family name, to open doors. Instead he worked his way up , and now Juliette Has a Gun is recognized all over the world niche brand. Admirable
Easy going, joyful is how I would describe Juliette Has a Gun fragrances. With Pear Inc, and Vanilla Vibes one could be delighted up until late Autumn.
Sebastian review also made me think how much i need a vacation at the moment – laying on the hammock with a book
    Cheers

  • Mofiyinfoluwa Shobogun says:

I have been so fascinated by this brand but can’t afford this. I am so late to this giveaway. Lord! Better to try than never. Also love your channel by the way!!

  • I would not have thought to relate Pear Inc (from what I’ve heard about it) so specifically to Not A Perfume, so it was interesting that both Michelyn and Sebastian touched on that— that it could also be thought of as so “minimalist” in a way. Also, the bits about the fedora imagery as it relates to Ricci’s forebears were illuminating. I knew he was related to Nina Ricci but I didn’t know anything else about his background. My favorite JHAG scent is Sunny Side Up.

  • forrestanez says:

Sebastian does an incredible job of describing perfumes and he has never let me down. I applaud that he acknowledges that sometimes you just need something minimalistic to wear. I do appreciate the quick tale of Romano’s ancestry as well as how his company came to be. I was not familiar with His background before this article. I live in Hawaii, USA.

  • Wow, Pear INC seems right up my alley with its earthy and fruity notes! I really love Superdose, therefore I think this would be a great perfume for me to try for the spring season.
Sebastion’s review on youtube is great as always! I am also intrigued because of how much anticipation Sebastion had on this perfume.
I also found Mchelyn’s introduction very interesting, I did not know that Romano Ricci’s favorite fruit was pear. I also love his tribute to his grandfather with the fedora, how endearing! overall very excited to try this scent out for myself!

  • Dywanne Smith says:

I’m intrigued by pear and musk pushed by ambroxan. It seems like a great combination.

  • Really love the way Sebastian describe this fragrance as juicy, and fruity. I have been unlucky with JHAG as the only interesting fragrance I currently have from them is Sunny Side Up. I love fruity so this is a must try. Also thank you Michelyn for the interesting introduction, such a fascinating background of the perfumer. I can see a little rockstar in some of these fragrances. Tx, USA

  • Enjoyed Michelyn’s introduction and excerpt from her interview with Romano Ricci. Learned about the family history of Romano Ricci and the emphasis on minimalistic perfumes. I haven’t tried anything by Juliette Has A Gun brand, yet. Sebastian’s review as always gave a clear description of what to expect in Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc. It’s good to try minimalistic perfumes to learn how a combination of a few ingredients will work. In this case, pear and different musk types. Most of us are familiar with juicy pear smell, but not with synthetic musks, or a combination thereof, so I am very curious to try it. Thanks for the review and draw. Writing from the USA.

  • Andrei Artimon says:

Really love the minimalistic style of fragrances . This would be straight love from 1st sniff . Would love to be on the winning end of this one . New york , usa .

  • kh515fragrance says:

I liked that Sebastian gave a breakdown of how the scent evolves as you wear it and get down to the base notes of the various musks. I had no idea about Romano Ricci’s background, but I loved that I learned that from this introduction. I also enjoyed that you pointed out the connection between his childhood and this perfume. Vanilla Vibes has been my favorite Juliette Has A Gun fragrance so far.

  • Michael Prince says:

What I enjoyed about Michelyn’s Introduction about Juliette Has A Gun Pear Inc was learning about the background of Romano Ricci’s. Learning about the perfumer behind the brand of Juliette Has A Gun, his famous family history of perfumers, and his favorite fruit the pear. I didn’t know about Romano Ricci’s background prior to this blog. Sebastian described this fragrance beautifully as being part of the new line of skin scent fragrances from Juliette Has A Gun…A beautiful fruity floral musky fragrance that I would love to experience. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • Madeline Daniels says:

I’m a huge fan a scents that are both juicy yet musky. So pear inc is definitely a fragrance that I’ve been wanting to try. But overall I’m just trying to get my nose on more of the juliette has a gun collection in general. 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity!

  • I love that Sebastian gave us the full break down of the notes that make up the muscs in Pear Inc. Thanks to Mchelyn’s reminder on who Romano Ricci is. I did know Romano Ricci’s background. My favorite Juliette Has a Gun is Vanilla Vibes. I’d really love to win Pear Inc.

  • IvanVelikov says:

Juliette Has a Gun was a new house to me. I have heard the name mentioned on Youtube because ot Vanilla Vibes , and after Cafleurebon review I went trying it, and now I own it , it’s even my scent of the day.Vanilla Vibes is a pleasant mostly warm weather scent . Vanilla , salt and orchid combination I can wear all year round, even if it’s cold ,if I overspray of course.
Pear Inc will be a nice fall pair to Vanilla Vibes , ripe pear , musky and non offensive.
    Thank you for the generosity.

  • Everyone should follow their dreams, I sure did by going to Paris to pursue my goals of becoming Pastry Chef . I’m glad Romano Ricci did the same thing, training for years in France before opening his own business, and owning a successful niche brand.
Pear Inc sound good , cozy and versatile.
The truth most people are buying such perfumes , not to wear them as standalone fragrances, but to layer them , to extend the longevity and projection of those close to the skin perfumes they love , or just to tweak the smell a bit. At least I do.
You want more happy fruityness in your fragrance, you now got it.
Not a Perfume Overdose I own, and I love it for what it is, like I said I only layer it with other fragrances.
Appreciate Michelyn intro , Sebastian review, and the giveaway campaign.

Thanks for the great review Sebastian.
This fragrance reminds me a lot of Nicolai Angelys Pear. I love it when a fragrance has a nice juicy ripe pear accord.

Thank you for the great introduction Michelyn. I always enjoying reading a little more about the AC’s that go into a fragrance and learning about the perfumer.

I did not know about the perfumers background prior to this article.

I’ve also not had the opportunity to smell fragrances from this house.

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • More pears please! I’m intrigued that both Michelyn and Sebastian talk about this being a minimalistic fragrance. I’ve actually never tried Juliette Has a Gun Not a Perfume but I want to. I am in the US.

  • petergigov says:

Coming from a overly successful business family, is not easy at all for every entrepreneur, doesn’t matter what kind of business we’re talking about. Living in the shadows of your parents, and grandparents name is not an option too. Glad Romano Ricci took the hard route, and not the easiest one like most would. Applaudable decision.
Juliette Has a Gun name I’ve heard, but have no experience with it. Pear Inc is simplistic, close encounters cuddling fragrance.
    Nice giveaway, USA
    Regards

  • I love Sebastian’s descriptive reviews, as does everyone else. This one in particular caught my attention with the pear that doesn’t fade away in the dry down. I’m super interested 🙂 Thanks from the USA.

I loved hearing about where the brand idea and the idea for Not a Perfume originated with Ricci. In Sebastians video, he did a great job explaining all the different musc qualities in the base of this fragrance but what really got me was that description in both the article and video of a juicy pear dripping down your face. That has my interest peaked as I love pear! Thanks so much for these reviews! NY, US

  • I have been working my way through a sample of Pear Inc for about a week. Michelyn’s intro asked the question, “Is there anything more satisfying than eating a ripe pear?” Well, I honestly have to say, probably not.

For a little over a week I have explored Pear Inc through a sample and I am pleasantly surprised. On my skin, I get the pear right away and it seems to stick around in almost a linear manner. It’s a Pear fragrance that allows the pear to shine. This could almost, yes almost be a problem if not for the Juliette Has Gun dna that wafts through the air every so often as a reminder that this is more than a pear sent, it is truly something fantastic.

I do hear the complaints that this a kin to smell of shampoo or a body wash and I get it. However, I think Pear Inc is so much bigger than just a department store product. The ambroxan gives the fragrance this salty quality which is like a portal for me to a simpler time of sitting by the ocean on a sunny day, staring out into its vastness, and having not a care in world. I get Romano Ricci’s story in Pear Inc.

Pear Inc. is an enjoyable fragrance that does exactly what it is supposed to do; be a pear. A really good pear.
