Francoise Hardy drinking coffee, 1960s apped with roses by Michelyn
How do you take your coffee? Mine is de-caffeinated espresso cappuccino. Unless it is in a perfume. Editor Sebastian Jara’s favorite Montale fragrance (until last week) was Intense Cafe. But if you are like us and you can’t get too much caffeine and creme in your fragrance that’s where Montale Intense Cafe Ristretto, the new double shot coffee, cream, rose gourmand comes into play.

In the context of coffee, ristretto refers to a short (restricted) shot of espresso, meaning the barista pulls only the first portion of a full-length espresso shot. The new Montale Ristretto Intense Café, is an Extrait de Parfum and more concentrated. It is perfect for coffee perfume lovers, as it has just enough froth to keep it from being bitter and is exactly what you want…even if you are like us and want to drink it instead of spritz it.. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief
