Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme Review + Valentine’s Day Draw

Editor Sebastian Jara and Contributor dana sandu

“Make me a fragrance that smells like love.” Christian Dior famously used this as his brief for the classic Miss Dior by Jean Carles and Paul Vacher in 1947. What does love smell like?  Today, Editor Sebastian Jara and Contributor dana sandu chose the new Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme, an exquisite classic feminine floral with its beautiful rose Taif  core to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Both our ÇaFleureBon fragrance team members (I love this collaboration) think of the new Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme by Roja Dove as the yin to Elysium Pour Homme’s yang.

The beautiful dana and Elixir Pour Femme

The result is an incredibly textured, unabashedly intimate perfume that is easy to wear, and as in all of Roja Dove’s perfumes, it is complex and composed with precious ingredients.   Roja Parfums Elixir Pour Femme wears close to the skin, wear it around that special someone. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

  • Yay! Sebastian and Dana! 🙂 Loved your description on this one! Champagne Cocktail, yes please. Sometimes I get that sparkling note when Ylang Ylang is present in a fragrance. I love that feeling. I don’t have a Neiman Marcus near me, so I thought I’d throw my hat in the ring for the giveaway. Thanks! In the USA

  • Great collaboration! This sounds so dreamy – enjoy the description of the berries – not sour – sweet like blackberry and raspberry – ; ). Also that it is a companion scent to Elysium. Happy Valentine’s day to you and thank you for the chance! In the US

I love rose in my perfumes. Haven’t tested this one yet but I’m so excited to do that now! I loved when both Sebastian and Dana mentioned the multifacetedness of this perfum, it’s so much fun to have a perfume that is like a human being – feels different each time depending on the mood.

  • Sebastian and Dana really rock YouTube like no other ! I really love how Sebastian explains all the notes and gives his honest opinion about the perfumes.
    Thanks

  • I have never had the pleasure of owning a Roja and what better than this newly released beauty. I love Sebastian’s descriptions and trust his nose when it comes to good perfume. When a perfume has multiple facets to discover it’s a beautiful journey to be had. From the USA

Such a good collaboration ! I recently just purchased Elysium and I love it. My girlfriend would LOVE to win the counterpart and we can rock these two combos together in a heartbeat. Wishing I had a Neiman Marcus & other fancy Niche stores around me so I could try stuff like this much sooner!

  • Thank you Sebastian and Dana for this wonderful review. I’m so happy to finally hear about this lovely Roja fragrance. Sebastian’s does a great job describing all the notes. I trust his opinion. Always honest. I definitely want to try this out. I’m from USA

Today’s the second video I’ve watched with Sebastian and Dana. I love that have teamed up because the reviews are not only knowledgeable but fun as well. I’ve seen a few reviews about Roja’s Elixir pour Femme and what intrigued me about this particular is the description of it being a warm soft powdery fragrance. I find that I’m drawn to powdery scents more these days.
Happy Valentine’s Day from the U.S.

  • Awesome review! I really appreciate how articulate you both are. Your descriptions are so clear and paint a picture of the scent in my mind. I really love how Dana described the berries as not being sour and the rose being delicate, and Sebastian’s description of warmth vs. Elysium’s cool feel. I would love to try this!

  • I appreciated the honest review of this fragrance. I have not tried anything from Roja Dove, I like that Dana compared it to a champagne cocktail. Thanks for this fabulous draw! USA

  • Really appreciate the counterpoints and perspectives. Will definitely look to sample this one for my wifey. Great breakdown of the rose note and texture.

  • I loved this collab between Sebastian and Dana Sandu…she is so knowledgeable and very well-spoken and , of course, Sebastian is his always dependable mellow self…love them both! I am in the US and would love to be able to sample this Roja Dove rose fragrance.

  • I like both Dana and Sebastian because they have their own opinions about the parfum which give us more credibility and perspectives. On the other hand Roja parfun is also famous for its complexity and thus i want to try it out. From the US. Thank you

I love when Sebastian has lady guest appearances! I loved Dana’s description of it being etherial, champagne-like, mass-appealing, yet very special. I am interested in making this my very first Roja perfume in my collection. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Great idea of having both Dana and Sebastian collaborate on the new Roja Elixir Pour Femme. I enjoyed how they spoke about the champagne and roses perfect for Valentine’s Day or any day that you want to feel special. There’s a NM near me so I will purchase this blind based on their praise

Looking forward to seeing more of Dana

  • This perfume sounds like a wonderful compliment to Elysium Pour Homme. I love the way Dana described the fragrance as a sparkly cocktail with berry notes. That sounds so elegant. This house is definitely the height of elegance. (And being exclusive to Neiman Marcus makes it all the more special).
    I live in the USA.

  • Having Dana and Sebastian together is a awesome colaboration. A champagne cocktail sounds pretty interesting. This might be my first Roja. Thanks for the review and the draw. I’m in the USA

  • Mmmmm, more lovely rose perfumes to lust after. I would absolutely love a chance to sniff this one.

  • Rose and Champagne cocktail is a dreamy combination. I never got the chance to test Roja Perfumes, so this would be a great way to try something new.. I live in Germany

  • This seems like another smash for Roja Dove. My girlfriend would love it. I did enjoy Elysium for myself, and this would make us a powerfume couple. Marlon, U.S.

  • I always appreciates Sebastians reviews as he knows his stuff. Rose and Champagne sounds like a champion combo. I have never had a chance to really own a Roja dove except a small sample of Elysium which I love and wear only on special days. I live in Folsom CA, USA.

  • Sebastian and Dana are a great team. They are both so knowledgeable and seem to have such fun together. Both have great noses and opinions. I love roses and would be honored to win and try a scent by Roja perfumes. I have never tried any. Thank you for the chance. I live in the US.

  • I loved the teamwork between Sebastian and Dana. It’s great to have Dana’s thoughts on a feminine fragrance, especially when it comes to something like Elysium that has a male and female version. Both reviewers are so knowledgable and personable. Can’t wait to see more. I live in the US and would be grateful to win the drawing for this new Roja scent. Thank you to RDP and CFB for your generosity.

  • Enjoyed the collab and review on this fragrance. Like to get a chance to try this and many others from Roja Parfums. Haven’t smelled a fragrance from this House but hear great. Thanks, U.S

  • I know Dana a little bit, and I can tell you she is not only very passionate and very knowledgeable about perfumes and perfumery, but she is also an amazing human being who shares her passion, her knowledge and her own perfumes with others in random acts of kindness. I am very glad she encountered Sebastian, who is already a star in the world of us, the perfume lovers, and that they found the time to make this great videos. Their charismas and their upbeat personalities mix beautifully, and it was a pleasure watching their work. I hope they will keep this going! Cheers from the East Coast of the U.S.

  • I just finished watching on YouTube. I always love how Sebastian pronounced the names. Lovely rose perfume.

  • I love Sebastian’s reviews- so beautiful, simple and with all honest. I intrigued by his perfume description- female version of Elysium!!! Dominat rose and little bit powdery. sounds very beautiful.

  • Dana had me at “Champagne cocktail” — I’ve never met a Champagne cocktail I didn’t like! It also sounds wonderful with the rose notes playing with sweet fruits. “Soft yet warm” is definitely enticing! I tend to wear “warmer” fragrances generally, so the presence of cinnamon and vanilla is right up my alley, too. I live in the U.S.A., and thanks to Sebastian, Dana, Roja and CaFleureBon for the opportunity!

  • I love that Sebastian said that it’s a dominant romantic rose fragrance with a powdery, vanilla drydown. It sounds so beautiful! Both he and Dana did a compelling review. I have definitely have this on my wishlist. I’ve never owned a Roja fragrance.
