Top Ten Fall Fragrances + Best Autumn Perfumes 2017 Draw

Promenade of Autumn Mihai  Christe

Our ÇaFleureBon Top 10 Fall Fragrance post is late this year, mainly because all of us are still wearing short sleeve shirts, shorts and complaining about the heat. But the leaves are turning glorious shades of bronze, vermillion and gold and we know it is just a matter of a days until the chilly breath of autumn will have  us reaching for our scarves.

Despite my love for warm weather and my constant complaining about the cold, autumn truly is my favorite season of the year. There’s something about the inherent change, the getting ready aspect; putting up and stocking all of the summer garden and orchard bounty, getting the wood pile ready for the dreary winter months ahead, the clear transitional nature, the change of light and softening of the air, the smell in the deep woods

Leave it to Daniel Gallagher of Gallagher Fragrances to find a new way to reinterpret and improve the aromatic fougere. Solidly entrenched in the perfume business for over a year now, Daniel has a true talent for re-creating classic perfume genres that are beautiful, feel new, and just beg to be worn. Evergreen Dream is no exception. Opening with an almost gin and sharp citrus hit, this sublime unisex contemporary fougere immediately moves into a multi-wood classic. Birch tar is one of my favorite notes, and here it is used perfectly, adding an almost white note to the deep and complex greens which are blended perfectly and are nothing short of bottled memories of the deep dark woods. The pine trees above, the mossy rocks at your feet; it’s all here and it’s a veritable autumnal feast for the senses. Notes: Turkish Galbanum, Lime Zest, White Grapefruit, Birch Tar, Cashmeran, Russian Lavender, Pine Resin, Texas Cedarwood, Coumarin, Musk, Oakmoss, Patchouli

I was excited to have been the first reviewer to introduce Zoologist Civet last fall, and it has remained a stalwart and constant perfumed companion throughout the year. The creation of perfumer Shelly Waddington (En Voyage Perfumes), and Creative Director Victor Wong, Civet is a perfect all season fragrance. It works well in warm weather but it’s when the days shorten and the evenings start to chill that it really comes to life. A modern masterpiece that perfectly melds vintage with contemporary, Civet remains one of my all-time favorites from the Zoologist range. I never tire of the old vs. new dichotomy. If “My Sin” or “Arpege” had a grandchild working for a cutting-edge high-tech start-up, this would be it. Welcome to the future. Its name is Civet.com. Notes: Bergamot, Black Pepper, Lemon, Orange, Spices, Tarragon, Carnation, Frangipani, Heliotrope, Hyacinth, Linden-blossom, Tuberose, Ylang, Balsams, Civet, Coffee, Incense, Labdanum, Musks, Oakmoss, Resins, Russian Leather, Vanilla, Vetiver, Woods  (Synthetic notes, Zoologist doesn’t use animal products.)Robert Herrmann, Senior Editor

Much have I traveled in the realms of gold… – John Keats-"Nashwa", the English transliteration of the Arabic word نشوة, equates to ecstasy and an overwhelming feeling of comfort, happiness and joyful excitement. Shay & Blue Parfum Nashwa (2017)  opens a magical door into a world of gilded reflection, emanating the light and atmosphere of peaceful bliss.  When I wear Nashwa I am transported to forest realms of big leaf and vine maples whose gilded and scarlet leaves transform the everyday world into a kingdom of light.  Parfum Nashwa suffuses my skin and immediate surroundings with a sunny amber freshened with just a touch of bergamot and neroli. This gentle and balmy opening evolves into a crisp, sweet woodiness, reminiscent of a fine Borneo oud graced with creamy undertones of butter and coconut.  A trace of dark chocolate colors the heart of Parfum Nashwa with a tawny hue. I can almost see myself shimmering, a radiant halo emanating from every pore, glowing like the golden leaves of our Pacific Northwest autumn. Notes: Bergamot, neroli, cacao noir, coconut, fine musks and oud.

The twilight hour comes; even my grief is swept away by the anonymity of life. – Montri Umavijani- Here in the Pacific Northwest, autumn days are often warm but the evenings can be quite cool and wet. As a compliment to the season I luxuriate in the sensuality of Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam, a fragrance that brings to life the experience of a coolly refreshed midnight garden. The unmistakable tropical facets of La Douceur de Siam blend beautifully with the natural perfumes of our Northwest gardens and woods. Bruised blossoms of golden champaca, roses, ylang ylang and the green, spicy freshness of wet leaves embrace the scent of the forest floor swirling though the mist. Over time the cool, sweetly soft air of La Douceur de Siam warms to the relaxed and sultry embrace of vanilla, amber and sandalwood, a perfect, accompaniment to a late September evening.  Notes:  Rose de Mai, Frangipani, champaka, carnation, Ylang Ylang, violet leaf, cinnamon, Thai chalood bark, vanilla absolute, sandalwood Mysore, Amber and Ambergris. -Gail Gross , Senior Editor

Neela Vermeire Trayee (2012; Bertrand Duchaufour): A sumptuous, complex blend of spices, resins and flowers, Trayee is one of those kaleidoscopic fragrances that changes with the light, the time of day and the heat. In the cool of morning, it can be a gingery floral; at night, cinnamon and fruit waft between catches of thick jasmine. Trayee, like all of Vermeire’s fragrances, walks a tightrope between lightness and heft. Duchaufour stirs this a jumble of flowers, spices and resins into an intoxicating medley, as intricate and harmonious as a Mahler symphony.  Its rich, multicoloured complexity is perfect for dismal days – like wearing peacock feathers on your wrist.

As the trees rustle their timeless music and summer decays, I find myself drawn to scents that suggest older, more permanent things. Dawn Spencer Hurwitz of DSH Perfumes’ Onycha (2016), whose name sings of antiquity, is such a perfume, and one of her very best. Named for one of the ingredients of holy incense recorded in Exodus, Onycha is a roasted, resinous dark oriental brew redolent with the rich aromas of labdanum, benzoin, an amalgam of forest notes, and the saline and mineral tang of seashell, woven together with a delicious bitter chocolate-patchouli note. With its wizard’s blend of ancient notes and flirtation with gourmand, Onycha smells as if a priest from antiquity, smoke trailing from his robes, wandered into a Paris brulerie of the 1920s. Onycha’s stunning smoulder reaches the zenith of its beauty as the air turns cool. Its unique beauty is head turning and no one but Dawn could have created it. –Lauryn Beer, Senior Editor

It’s still rising 90 here in the Ozarks, but the leaves are starting to change, and the evenings are cooling down, which means it’s beginning to smell a lot like Caron in my house.I picked up several bottles at the Boulevard St Germain boutique this summer, but Ernest Daltroff’s 1929 masterpiece En Avion has really been singing to me in these last amber-tinted September days. So many beautiful florals blooming in the heat of the day; neroli, lilac, jasmine, orange flower and spicy carnation, seamlessly blended into that incomparable Mousse de Saxe base, leather for a bit of mystery, and plenty of warm sweet resins and sandalwood to make En Avion equally blissful on a crisp Autumn evening. Non-stop compliments everywhere I go. –Tammy Schuster, Senior Contributor

Temperature is warmish at noon and yet the brisk air in the morning announces that it is really Autumn. Vero Kern’s Naja (2017 )with its leathery hinted honey and tobacco snake swirls gilded in the floriental iridescence of linden blossom is my perfect choice for fall. The sweet melon hints bear somehow the fragrant illusion of summer; my favorite season isn’t over yet, putting a smile on my face while at the end of the day its powdery oriental trail feels like a merry medicine for the melancholia of ever hurrying dusk. –Ermano Picco, Contributor

Autumn in New England is a capricious creature at best, yet our foliage is much-beloved, annually sought out by ‘leaf peepers’. Sweet satori in a vial: Sultan Pasha Attars Ensar Rose is a no-holds-barred surefire olfactory joy, wearable in all seasons and climes – but in  autumn it feels particularly soulful, contemplative, almost plaintive in nature. Our London-based perfumer pulls out all the stops; no expense is spared, only the finest raw materials are utilized – outrageous roses, a kiss of tuberose, Mysore sandalwood (The Golden Standard), true ambergris, Indian oud. For those among us who aren’t oud-mad, don’t fret; Ensar Rose is more like a sacred experience to be savored. It’s gloriously floral but not too sweet, woody, a cashmere scarf/shawl/sweater in which you cocoon yourself. It doesn’t hurt one iota that the gent who composes his attars infuses them with great affection and attention to detail. Notes: rose, Madagascar vanilla, Haitian vetiver, honey, tuberose, Bulgarian rose, Mysore sandalwood, ambergris, amber, Ensar oud.-Ida Meister Senior Editor

Mona di Orio took familiar notes in perfumery and colored out of the olfactive lines.  Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre (2010) is at once demure and strident, vintage and modern, powdery and smoky, familiar and foreign. For me, it is the most “French” of her fragrances and one I always reach for when the sidewalks of NYC are covered in a mosiac carpet of leaves. Ambre doesn’t get as much as love as some of Mona di Orio's other fragrances, which makes me love it more. I love it for its wearabilty, its creamy heart of ylang ylang tinged with a dusting of dolor. I love Ambre because it transports me into the woods of an enchanted Fae forest as the sky begins to darken and the air is filled with the strange honey scent reminiscent of magical mead. Bathed in benzoin and enveloped in a cloud of vanilla, I open my eyes and return home. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in Chief and Art Director

  • The fragrance that most appeals to me is La Douceur de Siam from Dusita I have been longing to own a bottle of this beautiful juice. I am from California and Gail’s review definitely put me in the mood for autumn. All the wonderful descriptions of the fragrances made me really visualize the smells and sights of these autumn scents. Thank you.

  • La douceur de Siam, Ambre, evergreen dream, and Onycha appeal to my tastes. I live in the UK. The description of DSH perfume Onycha really put me in the mood for autumn. Incense reminds me of burning leaves (in. A good way) and there is something cozy about labdanum and benzoin, like a comfy sweater!

  • Ohhh…, so many nice perfumes and beauyful reviews, that it is very difficult to choose from them. But I liked more:
Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre- powdery and smoky with touch of ambre, vanille and benzoin which made Michelyn Camen imagine a forest and “the strange honey scent reminiscent of magical mead”.
Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam- nice floral-fruity, with “cool, sweetly soft air”.
Evergreen Dream- withcitrus and rom start amd beautiful, reach woody heart.
    From Armenia

  • Patrick Echevarria says:

I had the chance to test Evergreen Dream of Daniel Gallagher before it was officially launched and I was impressed by the green and modern fougere with a twist,as he fondly describes it. While I was not able to fully wear and test it yet because it was on summer when I got it,I was quite adamant that this one would be perfect for the cool fall or even winter weather. Something that I may add in my limited cold weather frag collection. Nashwa from Shay & Blue interests me as well. The magical description and note breakdown is just captivating.Eager to see if the frag is good as described. Thank You.San Diego

  • Gallagher evergreen dream Fragrance sounds amazing because it just reminds me of when the leaves change color and the weather cooling down . FL USA

  • I have not tried any of these scents, but I have and love several Blue & Shays and also Dusita’s Issara, so I would be most interested in Le Couceur de Siam and Nashwa. The images in your review and also the inclusion of scents that contain incense remind us that the seasons are changing and Fall is in motion. I live in the US, thank you for the draw!

  • Les Nombres di Orio Ambre would be a desired perfume and of course DSH perfume Onycha which sounds amazing (no surprise) and I’d also grin if I won
La Douceur de Siam or Ambre. That first graphic put me in the Autumn mood with its whimsical leaves and I live in Aotearoa, NZ Thanks!

  • There is something about the combination of the descriptions and the art work that turns the mind to Fall. Each fragrance has its own take on the season. If I won, I’d like:
Mono di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre
    Gallagher Fragrances Evergreen Dream
Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam
    Shay and Blue Parfum Nashwa
    Caron En Avion
    DSH Onycha.
Thanks for the draw. I live in the USA

  • Yes! My favorite time of year is right around the corner. This post pretty much got me in the mood for the changing of the seasons with talk of resins, vanillas, woods and ouds. Everything that I love, scent-wise. I’m ready to put away the lighter scents and dive head first into the darker, heavier juices of the season. The scents on offer that appeal to me are:

    Shay & Blue Parfum Nashwa
Mona Di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre
    Gallagher Fragrances Evergreen Dream

I live in the USA. Thanks… and happy Fall to everyone.

  • En Avion Extrait, Onycha resonate with fall to me. I think this may be my favorite post yet. I feel the great chypres of old and the seasons turning of spice and warmth. I really do love fall. Im in the USA.

  • The artwork for this article just put me right into the Autumn mood! I’m in the USA, and would choose Nashwa by Shay&Blue! Thanks!

  • What a great list of fragrances and the art was stunning. My two favorites in this group is CARON en avion, which I would love to own in parfum form, Dusita Siam and Mona Ambre. "Ambre doesn’t get as much as love as some of her other fragrances, which makes me love it more. I love it for its wearabilty, its creamy heart of ylang ylang tinged with a dusting of dolor. I love Ambre because it transports me into the woods of an enchanted Fae forest as the sky begins to darken and the air is filled with the strange honey scent reminiscent of magical mead." amazing description and I love her vanille. I live in the USA

  • “Parfum Nashwa” by Shay & Blue seems to be on my liking. I enjoy fragrances with oud although it doesn’t appear to dominate in this scent. I am curious how cocoa blends in here and what impression it will leave on me.
What I like about autumn are the colour combinations of the trees leaves, the sidewalks and the gardens filled with fallen leaves, and the crisp air.
    I live in the E.U.
    Thank you.

  • The leaves falling down and the way the morning smell of the park nearby changes plus the massive amounts of pumpkin spice latte I consume put me in autumn mood!
All of the featured perfumes are beautiful but Mona Di Orio’s stands out a bit. Shay and Blue’s new line looks very exciting as well!
Thank you for the draw! I am in the UK

  • Living in the desert Southwestern part of the US, I love to dream about fall…nip in the air and leaves changing colors; we get very little of that and often have temperatures into the 90’s well into October. I love the references to woods, smoke and chilly evenings in the reviews. The ones that interest me the most are La Douceur de Siam, Les Nombres di Orio Ambre, Civet and Caron’s En Avion. Thank you for the chance and thank you to all the generous offers from the companies.

  • Lillyhollowayblog says:

Such a beautiful list of fragrances. Fall for us in the south won’t arrive for another month or two. I am looking to cooler weather and bringing out my fall fragrances. Ambers and resins with crisp weather, the musty smell of dry leaves and the autumn colors…can. not. wait..
Fortunately, I own Civet. Robert’s original review convinced me to blind buy a bottle. A purchase I will never regret. I have not sniffed the fragrances so any of them would be a treat. I live in the US.
    My choices are:
Parfums Dusita  La Douceur de Siam
    Caron En Avion
    Shay & Blue Parfum Nashwa

  • Well, a lot of nice fragrances here. Top 3 would be this : mona di orio – les nombres di orio ambre, dussita – la doucuer du siam, gallagher – evergreen dream. I live in the EU, thanks for the draw.

  • I agree with your high praises for Zoologist Civet and Vero Naja. I just have sampled Naja and will def. get full bottle sooner or later. My choices will be

Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam
    Mona Di Orio Ambre
    Shay & Blue Nashwa

    I am in US

  • I would love to entered into this Fall sampling of Fragrances… I really like the sound of a multi-wood classic. Evergreen Dream of Gallagher Fragrances. I am interested in finding a really nice pine scent. Ecstasy and an overwhelming feeling of comfort is what I am looking for in my life… And Les Nombres di Orio Ambre seem to be described as that. I think Ambre would be my second choice! Fall is a time that I can get those heavier scent out from the back of my shelf as the temps get cooler and seeing your lovely pictures of falling leaves puts me into the mood! I do live in Southern Illinois. And Thank You for the chance of winning…

  • Well great article just looking at those great pics puts me into fall fever one of my fav seasons definitely the most beautiful .
    I live in canada
    My pics for fragrances are
50 ml of Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam
75ml of Mona Di Orio Ambre
60ml of Shay & Blue Nashwa
    100 ml of Evergreen Dream

  • It’s nice to see the diversity of choices here. There are several I am not familiar with, and always fun to have new lemmings to chase. i would love to win La Douceur de Siam, the most beautiful fragrance ever! The Evergreen Dream also sounds interesting as I love forest scents.

  • Though it is somewhat bittersweet to say goodbye to summer, there is a kind of magic to autumn that I really love and it was lovely to hear about each contributor’s impressions of the season.
Each perfume sounds lovely, but most appealing to me would have to be:
Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam
    Zoologist Civet
Maison Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre
    Shay and Blue Parfum Nashwa
I live in Canada, thank you for the draw!

  • Perfume Nashwa by Shay and Blur sounds like a delight and definetly and interesting take on OUD. Gallagher Fragrances’ Evergreen Dreem sound great as a signature are year but will definetly some in the fall and Zoologist Civet was really never on my radar into I read this review. I though of Civet as sounding hard but your glowing review had made me have to reevaluate my thighs on this Fragrance. I line in I live in the USA, more definitively, Philadelphia, PA. And this review had really started to give me that Itch For fall. Lol the fact that you specifically have pointed out this prolonged summer was actually made me giggle to myself.

  • As first I want to mention Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam, I love this house although I haven’t try any scent, but description, how Pissara is describing her work on perfume is gorgeous. So this will be first on my list. The second will be Daniel Gallagher’s Evergreen Dream, this house is also on my wish list, and great come back to fougere fragrances is very interesting. Third will be Les Nombres di Orio Ambre which sounds interesting even if a bit feminine, forth the Civet as all Zoologist perfumes are innovative and interesting and finally last but not least Shay and Blue and Parfum Nashwa, I’ve never even heard abot this house, but it sounds intriguing. Gail Gross review put me in the mood of autumn, as Autumn for me usually means holidays in South East Asia 😉 I live in Poland.

  • chiangmaichee says:

It was love at first sight with the Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam. We embraced by the cool evening lights of the Chao Phraya River. The sweetness of her sight, the warmth of her touch and the yearning of my heart – Oh how the time stood still, and this moment lasted forever…
    – Singapore

  • Well, I love fall, specially in my contry, where it doesn’t behave as we usual think a fall season would be: Dry or a little humid sometimes, falling tree leaves, colder weather…

Since I live on a tropical country, the season is beautiful, with a humid atmosphere, but a little more hot than usual.
That’s exactly why LA DOUCEUR DE SIAM (my number one) and EVERGREEN DREAM (my number two) sounded so appealing to me…

I know that both have a different approach, being a little more fresh and spicy or a little more woody but also with a little bit of citrus…

But both of them give me this beautiful image and feeling of two diffetent facets that a season can have.

I would like to join the Draw for those two mentioned above please, and I live in Brazil ;D

Once again, thank you for this beautiful opportunity.

  • BostonScentGuy says:

The description of Trayee above to me captures what’s perfect about fall–interplay between dark and light…the sense of being in between seasons. I also loved the thought of Doucer de Siam’s sweet fruitiness lingering with real autumnal smells. Very delightful!

Thanks so much for this draw. If I won, I’d love to get Zoologist Civet, Douceur de Siam, Evergreen Dream, or di Orio’s Ambre.

    I’m in the US!

  • Love Trayee (have that). Reviews of Naja, Douceur de Siam and Ambre are just so tempting with the gourmand notes, perfect for the cooler weather.

I would like to win Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam, Mono di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre, DSH Onycha, or Gallagher Fragrances Evergreen Dream. From Singapore.

  • The photos and poetic descriptions put me in the mood for autumn. I’d live to try : Mona do Orio Les Nombres Ambre, Dusita La Douceur de Siam or Shay &Blue Nashwa.
Thank you for the chance! I live in Europe

  • Here, the autumn days are somedays full of sun and quite warm and other days is cold, rainy, and all you want to do is stay in bed and watch your favourite tv show. I liked the photos in this article and, as said above, they put you in the mood for autumn. Really nice artwork by Robert. Love that picture from Friederich.
I would love to win either Doucer de Siam, Ambre from Mona di Orio or Nashwa. I live in Europe. Thanks!

  • That picture “Promenade of Autumn Mihai Christe” is very appealing, soooo “in the mood of autumn or fall”. To choose some of the offered scents, I would take Parfum Nashwa Extract of Perfume, Dusita La Douceur de Siam and Mona Di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre. I live in Slovakia.

  • Great reviews! Every description is pertinent and perfect for my autumn mood. The colors palette of this season is perhaps the most complex and rich of the year and I want to wear fragrances that come close to this varied feeling. Probably the closest to my current state of mind are:
    DSH Onycha
    Shay & Blue Nashwa
    Evergreen Dream by Gallagher Fragrances
    I live in EU.
    Thanks!

  • This is an very interesting list with many not so well-known brands. Especially “Evergreen Dream” of Gallagher Fragrances sounds great for me!

The beginning of fall is a great time with all the changing colours of nature, but the end of it & winter can be a bit depressing… But it also reminds us that everything is evanescent, before the circle again begins.

    Best wishes from Germany
    Robert

  • I really like where you all put the colours of the fall in relation to the perfumes. I’d love to win and receive to Germany one out of these: Mona Di Orio Ambre, Gallagher Evergreen Dream, Shay and Blue Nashwa, DSH Onycha Voile de Parfum

  • Autumn is a weather I never encountered while growing up in Mauritius but I fell in love with it when I moved to Paris… The leaves turning brown , chillier winds and added layers of clothing… a sensual ritual… I woukd love to win Dusita’s La douceur de Siam ( her Issara is already a Fall favourite of mine) and Mona di Orio’s Ambre sounds amazing…I live in France

  • Reading these fragrance descriptions as it’s 50 degrees outside has put me in the mood to think about Fall scents. I would like the Evergreen Dream or Civet should I be chosen. USA

  • Wow what a great list!! I love the lists for each season when I find things I haven’t tried. This list has a lot of them and I’m not sure which I’d pick. Both the Shay and Blue and the Dusita really interest me. I’ll probably buy a sample of the Civet since I keep running into reviews of that one that make me drool. Thanks for the draw!

  • Fall is my favorite time. I love leaves changing and cooloer weather. My favorites from this nice list is dusita la douceur Siam and Mona di Orio Ambre. The pictures were nice too
    I live in the EU

  • Generally, I do not like the fall season, because the weather become colder, the days become shorter, the nature become less beautiful, the birds sing less and the people become more sad. But after I read these wonderful autumn reviews, I can see more the nicer side of that season. Yes, the autumn can be beautiful, happy, and optimistic also. I’m very interested all of these perfumes, so If I would as lucky to win, my choices:
    – 50 ml of Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam

Maison Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre
Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam
Onycha Voile de Parfum Pulse Pen
I’m in the US. Cheers, d

  • Ahhhhhh, I adored this line… “Its rich, multicoloured complexity is perfect for dismal days – like wearing peacock feathers on your wrist.” So of course Trayee has to be on my list! I’m also very interested to check out Maison Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre, Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam, and Vero Kern’s Naja (linden and honey and tobacco!).

I’m in the USA. And I love Fall Favorite lists the most. Thank you for this generous draw!

  • Love all these photos, especially that painting that looks like wallpaper with the leaves, so pretty! I am so thrilled it’s finaly fall. I’m in the USA. When I saw Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre, I had to write in — I collect amber scents and heard it was great!!

  • Autumn is my favorite season. I have climbed mountains to get views of autumns colorful displays in the forests and alpine lakes.

Perfect season to pull out my favorite darker scents.

    The following is interesting:
La douceur de Siam, Ambre, evergreen dream, Onycha, civet.

    In USA.

  • Enjoyed every review and they all put me in the autumn spirit, although the weather here is helping too. It’s raining since early this morning. My choices of the perfumes mentioned are Dusita La Douceur de Siam (enjoy hearing Pissara talk, she is so sweet) and Mona di Orio Ambre (such a horrible lost). Greetings from a rainy Netherlands (EU). Thank you Cafleurebon and all the lovely perfumers for this wonderful draw.

  • I can’t comment as much as before but hopefully I can still be a part of the site. Autumn is one of the best season for me to wear perfume, stuff like Chergui who’s drawing dust deep in the drawers can be used but lighter feel scents can still be used too. The illustrations in the articles here actually put me into the Autumn season, but it won’t be complete with the writings by the crew. Thanks and have a nice day! I’m currently in the US and would only enter for Dusita’s La Douceur de Siam, Mona Di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre, and Gallagher’s Evergreen Dream.

  • Really happy that weather is getting a bit cooler here in SoCal because this summer was brutal here… we can feel a little fresh weather now and that is a big relief for us.
It’s the perfect time to wear other things besides fresh and citrusy scents, love it.
I have not tried anything new for the past two years but i see the new Vero mentioned a lot. Î want to try that one. Also the Dusita mentioned sounds good.
Also the Nashwa sounds intriguing with the pairing of coconut and oud, sounds really cool.
From the list I’d love to win

Dusita – La Douceur de Siam
    Mona di Orio – Ambre
    Gallagher – Evergreen Dream
    Caron – En Avion
    Shay and Blue – Nashwa

I live in the US. Many thanks!

  • Part of the reason Fall is my favorite season is so I can begin wearing my richer, heavier fragrances. I love ones that contain spices and deep vanillas. Plus, I love the crisp air in Fall and being able to sleep with the windows open at night.

All the scents available in this giveaway sound beautiful. I would choose either Parfum Nashwa Extract of Parfum or Ambre.

    I live in the U.S.

  • I’m always in the mood for autumn! But the lovely images in this post have just reminded me why I get so excited for this season. It feels late this year, but at last the air is beginning to change and the leaves are turning; I’m ready! I love warming, spicy scents in the fall, but every singe one of the choices in this list sounds appealing! I’d most love to win: Mona di Orio Ambre, Dusita La Douceur de Siam, Caron En Avion, Shay and Blue Nashwa, DSH Onycha.
I live in the US. Many thanks for the reviews and the draw!

  • Thank you for the review and draw! I love autumn because it smells so good, it’s really pretty where I live and I love drinking hot apple cider. I’m very curious about Mona Di Orio Ambre because of the honey accord.

    I live in Europe.

  • What a fabulous list of scents. It’s just beginning to get cool here in Iowa so reading this makes me want to get out all my Fall frags.
Would love to win the Parfums Dusita, DSH Onchya or the Gallagher scent.
Thanks for the generous giveaway, I live in the U.S.

  • Haven’t tried anything from this list yet, all perfumes sound really interesting. Pumpkin flavored is one of my favorite things about autumn.

I would pick: Shay and Blue Parfum Nashwa or Dusita La Douceur de Siam.

Thanks for the draw! Good luck to all! I live in EU

  • Hikmat Sher Afridi says:

Thanks for the review and it’s a warm welcome to Autumn with some wonderful perfumes! This transition from summer to winter brings a change to the surface of earth & air, birds & animal behavior, and people plough fields for crops, preparation for school/college going, etc. etc. Thanks for the draw and my choices are:
    1) Dusita La Douceur de Siam
    2) Onycha Voile de Parfum Pulse Pen
    3) Victor Wong of Zoologist Perfumes for 11 ml Travel Spray of Civet
    4) Gallagher Fragrances Evergreen Dream
    5) Mona di Orio Ambre
    Pakistan

  • I’d love to wear English Avion, Onycha or Douceur de Siam. I live in the USA. Seeing the leaves starting to turn has me dreaming of autumn even though the weather is still pretty summery here.

  • The great art put me in the mood as the temperature in Connecticut today feels like fall. My favorite reviews were Ambre, Onycha, evergreedream, civet and Nashwa
Those would be my choices. I own Em Avion and Trayee which are perfect but I would like to try the ones I listed. Never heard of sultan pasha but sounds intriguing
    USA

  • Autumn is late here as well, making it a delight to read these reminders of cool weather scents in golden realms. October is my favorite month. I am in the US and would most like to try En Avion or Parfum Nashwa. Thank you for the generous draw.

  • Fall is so amazing. The colors, cooler air and smells. I have a plant that turns neon yellow in the fall and looks like osterich feather dipped in fleurescent yellow paint. I look forward to it every year. Love how each of you passionately described these thicker, heavier scents that really grasp fall. I would love: Shay and Blue Parfum Nashua, Gallagher Evergreen, DSH Onycha. Happy Fall everyone and thank you. In the USA.

  • The autumn leaves and golden afternoon light with cool crisp nights really bring me the feeling of fall. Though it has been unusually warm, I know they are coming! I would love to try La Douceur de Siam and Les Nombres di Orio Ambre. In the US. Thanks for the draw!

  • Dusita La Douceur de Siam, DSH Onycha, Zoologist Civet and Shay and Blue Nashwa all sound perfect for autumn! The only one I’ve tried is La Douceur de Siam, and Gail’s review is spot on. The late September evening, cool garden feeling with a sultry dry down is the best description I’ve ever read for it. Onycha sounds especially lovely for this time of year because it seems like the type of scent that would really shine and standout in autumn weather. One of my favorite things about fall is that I can start breaking out my cozy incense perfumes. I feel like they take on a different personality once the temp cools down. I also love that all the fragrances in the draw have a golden liquid color – how very fitting! In the US.

  • Breathingmybelovedin says:

On my corner of the globe fall is not so much about colorful foliage and pumpkin pie, but rather the pungent scent of ripe guavas and the arrival of wintering wagtails. Yet, Michelyn’s reminiscences of fall in NY take me back to my years living in NY (not so long ago) and conjure up the nostalgic aromas of fall there. I would love to try Civet and DSH Onycha. Thanks to all for their generosity! I am in Israel.

  • I love autumn! I love stepping on crunchy leaves- makes me so happy. I enjoyed this article and all fragrances sounds great. I would love to try La Douceur de Siam or Parfum Nashwa. Thank you for the generosity!
    I live in Europe

  • The picture by John Randall York put a smile on my face. I am not a fan of Autumn, only for the reason that it means that winter is soon to follow. Living in the pacific NW, it is just a very long time of grey dreary days. Strangely, I prefer the fragrances that are better suited to colder weather. I would have to choose Evergreen Dreams, DSH Onycha, or Les Nombres di Orio Ambre. They all sound amazing. As always……great writing! Thanks for the chance!

  • I don’t like that the summer ended, but it’s not for me to decide, so I will embrace the fall. The photos shown here put me in the mood for the fall and found interesting the perfumes Trayee, La Douceur de Siam and Ambre from the ones described.

Thanks for the drawm my choices would be:
    La Douceur de Siam
    Les Nombres di Orio Ambre
    Nashwa

    I’m in the EU.

  • I love everything about autumn. The artwork in this post captures the season perfectly. It’s also a great list of fragrances. I’m in the US and I’m most interested in Nashwa or Onycha.

  • I love autumn, and over here in Germany it has definitely started, last week we were in the forest collecting lots of mushrooms, this – with all the smells that come with it – puts me straight into mood for autumn – and reading about accompanying perfumes too.
The perfumes that appeal to me most are La Doucer de Siam from Dusita Mona die Orios Ambre and DSH Onycha.
Thanks for the draw and reviews!

  • Gail, your description of Shay & Blue Nashwa is awesome. I was easily transfered into the mood you pictured.
I love fall especially how the trees change color. I love sipping on hot chocolate and watching the leaves rustle as the wind pushes them down the street. My picks are Nashwa or Les Nombres di Orio Ambre.
    Thanks for the chance! USA

  • Mona Di Orio Ambre, Onycha Voile De Parfume, Nashwa and Evergreen Last appeal to my taste most. I can see too many good fragrances here and I would love to win one of them this time.
Here in Texas, fall has not come yet guys!
Thank you for the opportunity and draw.
    Live in the USA.

  • Autumn is my favorite season, too and i love those cozy moods evoked by autumnl scents (and just only by reading the descriptions of them 😉 )
I would like to win any of these mentionned, but mostly:
    – Civet,
    – Nashva,
    – Onycha.
    Thank you!

  • I adore oriental fragrances and your review of the various notes and their imagery put me in the mood for autumn. I’m feeling like putting a sweater on already. I live in the US (Tucson, so the sweater will have to wait) and would love to wear Parfums Dusita La Douceur de Siam, Maison Mona Di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre, DSH Onycha or Caron En Avion.

  • If I won, I’d love any of the fragrances (except En Avion, as sadly I do not live in the USA), so would be thrilled to win:

    Zoologist Civet
Parfums Dusita la Douceur du Siam
    Shay and Blue Parfum Nashva
    DSH Onycha
Mona di Orio Les Nombres D’Or Ambre
    Evergreen Dream by Gallagher Fragrances

The citation of the poem by Pissara’s father got me in the mood for autumn, but I am always in the mood for autumn, as it is my favourite season. I live in Montreal, Canada.

  • Oh so glad I saw this on Facebook because I love fall. Each writer wrote so beautifully about their favorites. How difficult to choose one or two
I loved the artwork and the review for Onycha, evergreen dream and AMBRE but would love to win Dsh Onycha and Mona di orio AMBRE
    I live in Canada

I loved Robert’s description of Civet, His analogy of it being the high-tech grandchild of Arpege is brilliant. I most certainly want to wear this during fall 2017.
    My choices would be:
Mona di Orio Les Nombres di Orio Ambre
    DSH Onycha
    Shay and Blue Parfum Nashva
    Evergreen Dream by Gallagher
    Caron En Avion
    I live in the USA.
