Fragrance Review: Roja Parfums Amber Aoud Extrait de Parfum (Roja Dove) 2012 + What Does Luxury Smell Like? Draw

Creative Ambassador for Great Britain (Courtesy of Roja Dove)

Personally, given our rich scented heritage, I think it’s incredibly exciting to see how British perfumes are emerging once again from our green and pleasant lands, becoming the deserved focus of global attention once again which I of course play my own part in. Having worked to create the world’s first Haute Parfumerie in Harrods, which has started a global trend, and having made bespoke perfumes for years, I launched Roja Parfums on July 2nd 2011. Many people make comment and opine about it – generally very kindly – but I have never spoken openly about my decision to launch a commercial brand. My mother once said how sad she was that with this generation of the family, the family name dies out. My parents both died, her words haunted me. I know I will never have children so I thought the way I can try to do something to potentially ensure the family name doesn’t die out is by creating commercially available scents. Every creation and everything about it is extremely personal“.-Roja Dove, Master Perfumer (excerpted from his article for CaFleureBon “The History of British Perfumery)

Roja Dove, Master Perfumer (courtesy of Roja Dove)

Roja Dove needs no introduction, as he is one of the most famous names in fragrance, with a global cult following. He is a British Master perfumer, best-selling author, the Creative Ambassador for Great Britian and his eponymous luxury brand is well-known all over the world.  Roja Dove spends a lot of time in the Middle East and thus his AOUD series of fragrances is a great example of the aesthetic,”East meets West”. He is known for using the most costly and finest of ingredients…from rose de mai to ambergris. Roja Dove writes of Amber AOUD, “Many of the Gum Resins which have been used in perfumery for millennia originate from the Middle East. I took these materials and blended them with the exotic note of Aoud to create a scent which is both soft and sensual.” – Roja Dove.

If you want to know what “classy” smells like … this is it. Amber Aoud is one of the most complex and sumptuous rose/oud fragrances I have experienced –Michelyn Camen, Editor-In-Chief

This sounds so wonderful and amazing. I would absolutely love to smell this luxury is Perfume.

  • Great review–good to know that it isn’t actually an amber perfume but more of a rose oud combo. Which….I love…especially a “Big, Loud, Beautiful Rose Oud”…I’m in heaven. I am a fan of big perfumes that get noticed. I really love Roja Dove’s Nuwa. I would love to win this because I am a Roja fan and a rose-oud fan. I am curious as to how it compares to Dusita Oudh Infini.

  • Devin Kuzmer says:

Im really starting to enjoy oud in fragrances and coming from Roja, you know its gotta be good. Would love to have this in my hands.

  • I love love love love love loveRP Amber Aoud. Did I say that I love this scent. I was fortunate enough to sample last year and it is heavenly. I would love to win this scent as it is too deep for my pockets. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Sebastian’s is a great reviewer, been a subscriber for some time now.
The way he describes the perfume and notes is great for newbies.

I need to win one so I can have one of Roja Dove’s incredibile creations.
Rose and oud is my favorite combo.

    I am in USA.

  • I have not tried any Roja Dove’s yet. This one sounds really nice though. Favorite rose aoud combo that I have tried so far would be Black Aoud by Montale. Alabama.

  • As always, I enjoyed Sebastian’s review of Amber Aoud…he’s so personable and non-pretentious when describing very high-end perfumes. This does indeed sound like a very luxurious fragrance made from the highest quality ingredients. Price aside, there is something to be said for being or producing the ‘best of the best’ in any genre and as Roja Dove fragrances will be the heir to Mr. Dove’s family name, I’d say he has done his family proud! I’d love the chance to own this as I am on the hunt for a feminine-leaning, smooth Aoud fragrance and this sounds like just the thing! I am in the US.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews we almost always see things in a similar fashion. I have a very small decant of Amber Aoud and would love to have a 30mil bottle. It’s big and bold, just my style.

  • Michael McDonald says:

I appreciate Sebastian’s honesty so much. Even when reviewing a $500 extrait he still has his gripes. Overall, it sounds like an enchanting scent. I’m wondering if it’s better than Fetish Pour Homme. I live in Columbus, Ohio

  • I have always loved Sebastians reviews in general because of his non-biased mindset it really helps in knowing if the fragrance is for you or not. Always something I admire about his reviews. For a favorite fragrance from the Roja house I honestly can not say for sure. I have sadly never owned a bottle from them. But, if I had to say which one I think I would like the most it would probably be Scandal. I would be honored to win so I could finally own a bottle from the legendary house. It has been something on my list for quite some time but never had the opportunity to actually purchase this in person. Thanks for reading, I hope I win!! I’m in Wisconsin.

  • Thanks to Sebastian for such a good review as always and thanks to Cafleurebon and Europerfumes for this wonderful giveaway. From the house I just tried Creation-E which is a great perfume. Sebastian review is concise and very accurate; by using my imagination and his information I can totally get the right smell of any perfumes from the opening to the dry down. I am fan of dark and resinous perfumes. I would love to win if I have a chance. Live in Texas.

  • I love how Sebastian tells you how to properly use a strong wonderful fragrance like this. I’m totally new to the house and eager to smell some of their offerings. Sebastian is a true asset to the community!!

  • I always enjoy hearing Sebastian describe the various notes in certain perfumes and how they come across. In this case his description of a rosey oud has me intrigued. I’ve never tried any Roja scents before so can’t comment on a favorite just yet. This sounds like a great one to get started with. So far my favorite amber is Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens, so I would love to add another to my arsenal. I live in the USA. Thank you!

  • Thanks for the opportunity to win this gem! I enjoy Sebastian’s reviews because he is good at describing how fragrances smell. I have tried several Roja fragrances but don’t own a full bottle; my favorites so far are Creation E, Danger and Scandal Pour Homme. Hello from the Wisconsin USA!

  • cardinalmind says:

Sebastian’s YT channel is the one that I usually frequent since he usually does niche perfumes which are unavailable to my area, but at the same time also does designer ones so it has a good content mix. Sebastian’s review was always concise but informative, personal but also objective at the same time which is what I like and made me continue watching them. Only have smelled Roja’s Enigma and it brought me to tears. Seriously it was that good but I think the price tag also helped. I’d like to win because everything that I own, I share to the community during meetups so that I can share my love for perfumes to everybody, and also get honest opinions about them.
    I’m in the US.

  • Thanks for the draw. I have not had the opportunity to smell any of Roja’s creations. I liked how Sebastian pointed out that this isnt an amber oud combo but more rose and oud. Also making a note of the jasmine and ylang ylang. I’m a big fan of rose oud combos.

    I’m in the US.

  • valkoor nightsinger says:

Awesome as always. I have purchased most of the scents that Sebastian has reviewed and this one is a jewel to be had for sure. Hope to win and start my collection of Roja.

  • Hi my favorite Rojas dove is creation e. What I like about Sebastian. Reviews is how he describes fragrance in such a way you can see he’s truly passionate About his work also this perfume is a luxury to even smell let alone own. So please pick me because I would truly appreciate it down to its last drop . Thanks

  • MIchael Okuh says:

Awesome review from Sebastian, looking forward to trying my first scent from the house of roja

  • Lovely review by Sebastian. I got excited when he explained that Amber Aoud is a rose-aoud combo and not an amber perfume. I love rose-aoud when it is well done and I cannot imagine anything Roja Dove creates as not being great. I have sampled Scandal and his now discontinued Lilac and they are both wonderful. To have a Roja Dove perfume would be amazing! I live in the USA.

  • thanks Sebastian my favorite roja are amber oud and musk oud, the best of the best , longevity is OK the small problem for me is projection a bit midiocre. I love love love amber oud. Hope I own this beautiful Parfum.
    . Boston, USA.

  • I’ve been waiting for Sebastian’s take on Amber Aoud, as we seem to have similar taste is fragrance, and I trust his input. Being that I’m here in Havasu in the middle of the desert, I don’t have easy access to brands like Roja Dove, so this will be a first for me..I’d love to win it!

  • Very excited about the Roja GiveAway. I am a huge fan of their fragrances.
I do have Danger and have always wanted a bottle of Amber. My fingers are crossed with this giveaway. Thank you so much Sebastian with providing us with the chance to win a 30 ml of Roja’s Amber. I live in Ohio USA

  • James Thomas says:

I had no idea that Roja Dove is an ambassador very interesting. I love Roja enigma it’s very spicy. I would love to win Amber Auod because of the rose and that it is like classy luxury.
    I live in California

  • I enjoyed how he explained the fragrance and not to expect a lot of Amber. I’ve only sampled Enigma and would love to try Amber Aoud. I’m in Arizona. USA.

  • This is a great giveaway. Roja Dove is class in a bottle. While I don’t own anything from this house, I would love to have Amber Aoud be my first.

  • Ernesto Hernandez says:

I still have not purchased a niche frag. But ive heard great things about Roja Dove. Sebastian is full of useful information and he seems very honest about his reviews.

  • Ernesto Hernandez says:

Sebastian is the most authentic reviewer on YouTube thats why i love his reviews and would love a Roja Dove to be my first niche frag.

  • I love Sebastian ‘s straight forward description of how thus scent smelled and developed over the day on him. I love knowing what a fragrance develops into and what they reveal in the bottom notes. The citrus top notes are a draw for me and Sebastian wanted more Amber but I love that it is not amber heavy and the rose and oud mix is the perfect combination that I go for! I have also been into fragrance for the last 6 years so I hope and believe I can handle such a bold oud. I have never tried a Rojas fragrance before but this fragrance has caught my interest! I live in USA.

  • Loved the review. The luxurious and opulence of Roja is astounding. I’ve had the luxury of smelling this one and it is truly heavenly! I would love to win this bottle because this stuff is phenomenal! Thanks for the review Sebastian!

  • liquidasset77 says:

By far and away the Roja Aoud line is my favorite of his compositions.
I enjoy the spirit of the union should the most with the dominant Taif rose.

  • Valente Leanos says:

Once again another great video from Sebastian. Always with the high quality niche fragrances ,he has quickly become my niche guy lol. Roja dove frags have always kept my attention but have always been just out of reach financially….This would be a great time to see just what this house is all about. Thanks for the chance

  • Oh wow! What a wonderful, GENEROUS giveaway. I can barely afford a decant but an entire bottle…whew. Sebastian is really going all out for us and we appreciate it. Thanks Cafleurebon and Sebastian!!! Houston, Tx.

  • And what car you suppose to drive when wearing this perfume on a saturday evening? A ferrari .. A Bentley or A new Aston Martin DB11 ? Ahhh never mind , Its just stupid thoughts that keeps hunting me.Time to go to Indeed .com or careerBuilder and look for a job..Great review Sebastian as always.

  • Hi everyone,

I like Sebatian’s honesty (as always), especially with regard to the amber as well as his comments on it being a bit feminine. I have never owned a Roja Parfums product – I am just now starting to look at niche and recently got the sample kit for Amouage. I would love to win because 1) it is a niche fragrance, and 2) I am a huge oud fan – love it!

    Warm regards, Ben

  • One of my grails in the fragrance world. Sebastian does a wonderful job describing this scent. It smells like money and it would be a pleasure to have this in my collection.

  • Just LOVE Sebastian’s wonderful input on fragrances. He’s really one of my favorite reviewers… for sure! I have not my nose around Roja scents as of yet. I have listened to many reviews of this top notch house. Yes please enter me into this great giveaway… THANKS

  • It’s a great review. I enjoy the fact that it’s in depth concerning the notes and the ambergris facet. I’ve only tried Creation-E/Enigma as a sample so I would greatly appreciate the chance to own such a widely acclaimed fragrance. I’m in Phoenix, Arizona.

  • Patrick Echevarria says:

Been wanting to own a Roja Dove perfume but at the price it goes,I need to make sure that I love it and that’s quite hard at my end because there is no store carries Roja perfumes here in San Diego for me to test. Sebastians review makes it more enticing to blind buy but it’s quite hard for that price tag. Hope to win this giveaway raffle, fingers crosses. Thanks!

  • Please disregard my comment under the name E.Stgrey at 7:11pm as it wasn’t logged in under my proper screen name. I corrected it and logged in and posted at 8:59pm. Thank you and sorry for any hassle.

  • I always enjoy his reviews and this one makes me want a full bottle – his descriptions make this sound so warm and comforting. My favorite Roja Dove is Fetish but it’s the only full bottle I have I’d love to add another bottle to my collection and I know I’d love this scent! Boston, MA 🙂

  • Mikail Nahian says:

Sebastian is one of my favorite reviewers. I enjoy his honest and in depth remarks and also knowledge of many different houses. What I really enjoy about Roja’s perfumes is that they come off very natural smelling of high quality ingredients and also there’s an aura of elegance about his fragrances. Creation E is one of my favorite fragrances and I would love to own amber aoud as I particularly enjoy oud.

  • Thanks to Sebastian for such a good review as always and thanks to Cafleurebon and Europerfumes for this wonderful giveaway.
I never tried any of Roja Dove creations, but I’ll be happy to try this luxurious one, I’ve heard a lot about this one

    Thanks all for the opportunity
    MAJED

  • I very much liked that Sebastian highlights the rose and ambergris notes, and the overall picture that emerged from his review is of a rose-woody oud extravaganza with some amber for balance, which is very much what I am drawn to. I am also really curious about what that drydown is like: ambergris, civet, saffron and orris (among other notes)!

I only wish I had a favorite Roja–they are not available near me and I’ve been hesitant to splurge without trying them. I have been sorely tempted by previous reviews and would really love to try this one (ambergris! civet! orris! 🙂 I am in the USA.

  • John C. Troyer says:

I haven’t tried any from this house but would love to win this! I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviewing style and this one was great. Thank you for the chance to win this fragrance!

  • Oh good lord this sounds devine. I just love rose and oud combos. I have yet to find a favorite so far. I like that Sebatian pointed out how complex and rich this fragrance is. Bout made me drool thinking about it. The bottle is a beauty. I have never tried and Roja’s but hopefully that will change. Well cheers to an amazing draw. In the USA. Awesome review as always.

  • i always like viewing Sebastian’s reviews. I would love to win this as it would be the only way I will ever get to try something from this house. This sounds positively luscious. Thanks for the draw. I live in the USA

  • Roja Dove perfumes are to many the ultimate olfactive experience. Sophisticated, classy, art poured into a bottle. Sebastian always does a great job in describing the fragrance in such way that I can almost smell it. His unbiased reviews allow viewers to really comprehend the characteristics of the fragrance and therefore, if the fragrance will fit each individual taste. Unfortunately I have never owned any Roja Dove due to their high price tag which in my opinion is totally justified given the preciousness of the juice and the all-around presentation that screams pure class and dominance. From watching Sebastian’s review this seems to be the ultimate rose-oud-amber elixir. I do own some amber bassed fragrances such as Ambre Sultan by SL, and other rose-oud based fragrances sudh as Yurman Limited edition and they are both exquisite. I cannot imagine how impressive RD Amber Oud can be but it certainly mesmerizes me by just listening to Sebastian talk about it. Thanks to Sebastian and Cafleurebon many fragrance lovers including myself have the chance to call one of these gems our own. Thanks for the opportunity. You guys are great by always taking care of the community.

  • Sebastian’s description really has me intrigued. Rose and our combinations are among my favorites. I’m quite sure Roja has another hit here with this one.

  • Jomathan Be Swift says:

Yes, I commented under JBS1 . On You Tube I am Jomathan Be Swift.
So please use this one. I am participating in Sebastian’s Amber Oud GiveAway. Sorry about the confusion .

  • BostonScentGuy says:

I love video reviews in general to hear/see the evolution of scent in the reviewers voice and face. It takes good writing to conjure scent, and I connect more easily to the visual of a person! Loved hearing that this was actually an animalic rose/oud scent and was intrigued at its unisex-but-feminine determination! Love many of Roja Dove’s scents, esp. fetish for men (that’s the one that’s like Puredistance M, right?). I also really enjoyed those rare semi-bespoke scents he used to put out that I got some samples of a long time ago! There was a nice Bandit-Cabochard-ey type leather chypre. I’d love to win this one because I like a good quality rose-oud. It’s a wonderful but overused set of notes, so I gravitate towards the best quality versions of it! Thanks for the draw. I’m in the US.

  • If Sebastian had to give a warning to inexperienced noses, I have to try this. Always enjoy the way he describes notes in a way that helps put them into perspective. Interesting that the amber isn’t the standout note. As a massive Rose lover that doesn’t bother me, but still a little odd. The only Roja Dove fragrance I’ve ever smelled is danger, and the quality is definitely present. Glad Amber Aoud delivers, now I just need to smell it.

    Cheers, from Michigan.

  • First and foremost, I love that Sebastian gives negatives!! Even for an epic house such as this. Adds to trustworthiness, as most just lay it on thick for any fragrance they review. My favorite has always been Bergamot; but I have yet to try this one, so we shall see once I nose it!

  • Sebashtian is Awesome! Him and I talk from time to time in the comment section! This scent sounds so amazing! I am really getting into more oud fragrances and I’d love to try this one! NYC over here 🙂

  • Sebastian always keeps it honest. And he’s an oversprayer like myself. Beast mode but still goes for 3 sprays lol

  • Awesome givaway as always, and awesome review by Sebastian,
I have always want to try roja fragrances, nver tried any , Sebastian intrigued me to try it and feel, smell the luxurious fragrance,
    Houston, TX, USA.

  • I love the note in this fragrance and it sounds like something I would love to wear and I love fragrances that are strong like this one. I have tried the Vetiver extract from this fragrance company and enjoyed it.

  • Romaun Leggitts says:

I think is perfume has to be in the top 10 Niche perfume of all time. If I win both my kids can still go to college. I wont have to take money from there savings to buy a bottle.

  • This sounds like a unisex rose to me, from Sebastian’s review.
I have yet to find the scent that moved me, hope this is it.
I can see the effort was spent on this, the presentation is exquisite and the bottle looks so delicate.
Just today I was telling my friends about this house as many people are not aware of it and it’s great perfumes.

I will really really appreciate if I get to win this.
    In Washington, US.

  • Guardian Red says:

I agree with Sebastian on this one it is an amazing rose and oud combination. Not a lot of Amber in this one. I have a small sample from this fragrance and it would be awesome to win a bottle. Thank you for the drawing!!!

  • Christopher Stein says:

I have never tried a Roja Dove but from what Sebastian described this sounds wonderful. Hope I win this!

  • Spencer Johnson says:

I always enjoy Looking Feeling Smelling great reviews. He talks from the heart and love his views toward fragrances. My favorite Roja Dove fragrance had to be either Creation-E or Amber Aoud. Amber Aoud is like the essence of luxury and class. I even stated that this is the fragrance I would wear when I get married.

  • I bought (not yet received) Creation-E Parfum Pour Homme. I am so excited to buy such a luxurious fragrance. It will be such an upgrade to my newly formed 40 item collection. Oh, to have two Roja Dove creations in my collection would heavenly. I just need to work harder or win this contest!

  • malakay_21 says:

My favourite part of the review was when he said that it was a bump the perfume not being an actual amber fragrance…my favourite Roja, from a couple that I tried so far is Amber extrait…thanks for the opportunity. Keep smelling good
    Baltimore, MD

  • This review of Amber Aoud (my personal favorite by Roja Dove in front of Nuwa) was what was needed to get at the heart of what it is. Sebastian touches on the ‘citrus’ component which was what drew me into it upon first sniff, and the richness. Rose has never stunned me as much as it has in Amber Aoud. Sebastian is absolutely right, this fragrance projects! People give compliments and ask questions about it the times I’ve worn a sample. I was so happy to hear Sebastian mention the one thing I picked up that no one ever mentions about this scent- the cinnamon! There are gourmand elements in here that make it comforting as well as opulent, a rare combination that Roja Dove pulls off masterfully. Last year, my girlfriend’s friend was traveling internationally and offered to buy a bottle of Amber Aoud to pass on to me since he knew I’m into collecting fragrance and that Amber Aoud is my love. A month went by-nothing, 2 months-nothing. Instead, he decided to keep it for himself. For 2 years I’ve kept a small 1ml vial of it that I smell when I need to lift my mood and ascend to a beautiful place. This is a bellowing expression of artistry in texture and composition. It’s a fragrance that plays with so many genres, sweet, citrus, bitter, floral, dark, musk, woods, and spices- a class of luxury that exudes knowledge over all domains of scent and the senses. The emperor of any collection. Thank you for the exciting giveaway and Sebastian for a review of the ultimate gem!

  • Sebastian’s review is spot on. This perfume is simply heavenly. Having smelled many Arabian attars, this one is very close to that authentic style of oud found in expensive shops in Middle East. My faves Roja are Amber oud and danger pour Homme. Love this opportunity to win an amazing prize. Thanks. My sample almost run out I need this bottle.
    USA.

  • I love Sebastian’s reviews and the way he described this really interests me! I really hope I win, I’d love to own this! Thanks

  • Sebastian has made such a great review of it. A perfume not for the beginners, as he says. Rich and opulent. The reason why I’m participating to the competition is because I’ve never tried a Roja fragrance. The Roja Creation E is on my shopping list, my next purchase.

  • Hikmat Sher Afridi says:

Thanks for the review! One of my friends is crazy for Roja Dove perfumes & he has many Roja Dove fragrances in his collection. He gifted me a 5ml decant of Roja Dove Amber Aoud in the 1st week of February. Yes indeed it is amazing, but it reminded me an Arabian perfume/oil of similar vibe & DNA which I don’t remember the name. I have many rose-oud combo perfumes in my collection. My best favorite rose-oud fragrance is Oud Ispahan.
Thanks to Europerfumes, Sebastian Jara and Cafleurebon for the generosity and opportunity to participate in the draw by letting my relative address in NY, US.

  • fazalcheema says:

I learned from Sebastian this is named Amber but mostly focused on rose and oud though amber does make discreet appearance from time to time. It also has spices such as cinnamon. I have Danger Pour Homme from RD. I am in the US.

  • Sebastian is always reviewing stuff I don’t hear about anywhere else. Well done! I got a chance to smell Roja Fetish. To own a bottle from the line? A giveaway is the only chance of that happening!

  • Juan Rojas says:

Out of all the Roja Dove fragrances this is the one I want to try the most..ever since I heard of it I have wanted to get my nose on it.

  • I’m lober of rose and this bottle. It reminds me of an expensive bottle of cognac. Sebastian’s reviews like always creates a smell lust

  • The combo of the oud and rose is one of the most interesting aspects to me. Thanks for the great review!
I haven’t tried any Roja Dove fragrances.

  • Charles Montgomery says:

    Great review!
Thanks for suggesting how .any sprays to use for this beastly parfum.
Clearly my favorite house if not top three.
Ive yet to try the extrait version of this. The pour homme version is very good and one.of the best ive worn from RD. It really depends.on the day and mood. Somedays amber aoud is the best. There are days when musk.aoud or danger will over take the other as best..

  • Steve Taniguchi Songco says:

Sebastian Jara is really knowledgeable when it comes to fragrances.Honestly,I never heard of this Roja maybe because it’s expensive. It would be nice to have one in my collection for formal occasions.

  • I always love Sebasian’s reviews because we tend to have the same style. My favorite Roja is Amber Aoud! That’s why I want to win this bottle!

  • Sebastian’s review was great! There is one thing though I would not agree personally, I see Amber Aoud more as a musculine perfume, especially in the opening, then it becomes more quiet and close to the skin. I own Enslaved in 30ml, and I can say that Roja chose the name right for this fragrance; when I am waring it I am totally under the spell! Thank you for this awes ok me opportunity to win this magnificent perfume!

  • This would be the greatest draw win ever. The review was quite thorough and only made me want this all the more. I very much like the Roja Dove Gardenia from the house. 🙂 US

  • Forgot to mention that Sebastian does a lot of reviews that help me in making purchasing decisions. Roja Dove is a very elite fragrance house that I would love to have.

  • Mohammed Balsharaf says:

I liked Sebastian’s review. It was short n informative. He explained the notes breakdown n the performance and how to apply it. It seems a potent fragrance for formal occasions when you have to dress up. I really do enjoy such fragrances n heard a lot about this house.
I wish to win n try one of their offerings eventually.

  • Patrick M. says:

Great review… I would love to win that bottle of Amber Aoud. I have Creation_E and it’s one of my favorites. I am located in the USA.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are always so honest and easy to understand. I do love oud fragrances and have tried a few of Roja’s creations, mostly the darker kind, resinous and of course, ouds. I have a bottle of Enslaved that I simply adore! I would love to win Amber Aoud simply because how can I not desire such beautiful masterpiece? 🙂 And it’s my birthday today so I feel a little luck by signing up on this day. Thank you! I’m in the USA.

  • ntabassum92 says:

I love Sebastian’s description of the luxury and quality of the fragrance, how you only need 2 sprays for it to last all day. I don’t have a favorite of Roja Parfums, and I would like to win because I love rose and oud combos, and if this is the ultimate, I would like to smell it and wear it 🙂

  • Another wonderful review, Sebastian! I had tried this fragrance from a sample and just loved it even thought the amber expectation wasn’t fulfilled. This is a beauty in the bottle for sure. What an amazing fragrance to win! :-)

  • scentsible_gentleman says:

I like sebastians excitement in the video. I have never had the opportunity to smell any fragrances by roja dove but sebastian described it as a rose/oud and i love that combination. I would love to own a luxury perfume such as this.

  • Shibin Cheri says:

I loved the review. Have never smelled roja perfumes. Thanks for the opportunity to win one

  • i would absolutely love to be able to smell this fragrance ! Beautiful looking bottle and screams quality !

  • I enjoyed the way how Sebastian described the luxurious, upper echelon level of notes and that’s why I would love to experience that. Please let me win.

  • Alex Mwewa says:

Sebastian talking about how this would be appreciated by those who are at least year or two into their journey was the part I enjoyed the most. My nose is really yearning for more complex scents so this is why I want to win.

  • I like Sebastian’s note of Amber Oud being a well noticed and compliment garnering scent. I want to win to have a gorgeous scent that still garners people’s attention. Most times artisan fragrances can be befuddling.

  • Spencer Johnson says:

I always love watching Sebastian’s videos because you can really tell how much he loves fragrances by his in-depth reviews. My favorite Roja Parfums has to either be Creation-E or Amber Aoud. Amber Aoud smells so amazing. It is the essence of luxury and class. I even stated that this might even be my fragrance of use for my wedding. I have yet to get a bottle though.

  • Good review covering both fragrance details, impressions and context. Very intriguing that he perceived no amber despite the name. I’d love to experience it myself.

  • I enjoy sebastian’s review as he’s very informative and accurate in describing the scent. He has an excellent and authentic nose that have been impactful in my olfactory journey. I would like to win simply because I cannot afford Roja Parfums but I’d love to get my nose on it.

  • As I commented on FAcebook, I learned a lot from the video. I didn’t realize this was NOT and amber scent. I was excited to try amber paired with oud. But, I love roses and love Roja; so, I know I would adore it.

  • Sebastian has a clear way of describing perfumes and this sounds like a great one. I don’t have any Roja Dove perfumes, in fact I’ve never even sampled any. I would love to try this one though.

  • Rose AND Oud?! My husband would love this so much. Thank-you very much for this opportunity!

    Great review cafleurebon!
    Cest bon!
Nice to have Sebastian reviewing this one. Since im a big fan of rose 0ud

  • Sebastian’s video, as usual is straight forward, honest and passionate. When he mentioned that this is the ultimate rose and oud scent, I knew I wanted to try it. I currently have 4 Roja’s, with Creation-E being my favorite. I would love to have Amber Aoud, because I’ve never smelled a roja fragrance I didn’t love! His take on a rose/oud has to be top notch!!

Winning roja perfume anything would be great. I have tried creation E loved it but cant afford it. Roja perfumes are great and am sure this too is great. I wish i win

  • Sebastian has a wonderful note breakdown. Amber aoud is my all time favorite and winning would be a blessing. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

Sebastian at LSFG always does a nice video review. This one surprised me that he noted the general absence of the amber which is in its name and notes that it is more of a green amber complimentary note and that he notices the ‘masculine’ rose much more to compliment the oud. That being said, although he claims it is a touch feminine, it seems like worthy of a try, if only to slide a Rose/Oud fragrance into the spring fragrance lineup. Though there have been many fragrances I would have liked to win in the past, this one really gets me excited. Perhaps its because it gets me thinking winter will end soon. Thanks again.

  • I like the rose/oud combination, and am still looking for the perfect one–perhaps this is it! The list of base notes alone make me feel a bit desperate to try it, and if I’m honest, Sebastian’s description of Amber Aoud as a “compliment-getter” is very appealing, too. The only Roja Parfum I’ve tried is Diaghilev, which was amazing. I am in the US.

  • d3m0lici0n says:

Good to know that is more a rose (note I love) and oud combo. I love the combination. Even though it’s been done a million times already it has to be good since roja dove uses really good materials.
My favorite so far is Fetish Homme. I love that one. I’d love to win this one since I’m in the lookout for an outstanding oud fragrance. Something high quality.
I live in the US and really crossing my fingers to win this one.
    Thanks.

  • I love Roja Dove perfumes. they are real stunners and also come in beautiful bottles. This sounds like another winner from Roja Dove. Anything that is described as big, loud, beautiful, like heaven is something I’d love to try. I do like Rose & Oud combos, and this has such a great list of notes, that it must just be yummy. I have Roja Dove Risqué full bottle as well as other fragrances in sample sizes. I’d love to be the lucky winner. thank you – i’m registered and in US.

  • I just read the directions and realized that I needed to include my favorite Roja Dove parfum .So please keep this submission from me.
    1. I loved when Sebastian said this is the ULTIMATE rose and oud combo. He mentioned about how there’s a masculine rose and jasmine.
    2. My favorite Roja Dove parfum is Danger . I purchased the 7.5 ml from Roja Dove website in Europe .
3.The reason why I would love to win Roja’s Amber is easy,
beautiful opulence . Roja Dove is my favorite house. It would be the prize in my perfume collection. It would be so nice to win a bottle instead of buying samples from LuckyScent. I am a huge fan.

I like he said it smelled of luxury and I totally agree with him. This is in the top 3 best smelling fragrances I’ve smelled.

  • ❤ Thanks for the opportunity to win this gem! ❤

I’ve been a long time subscriber to Sebastian and he is the one who introduced me to this great offering. I’m a big fan of his & love his creative and insightful videos. (Keep up the great work!) I love when he brings perfumers in for a interview! Loved the blooper video with John Kerosene lol!

My favorite Roja Dove would have to go to Enigma. It’s something I could wear everyday.

The reason why I would love to win Roja’s Amber Aoud is because I recently ordered a 7.5mL sample of it and instantly fell in love with it. I can’t afford a big bottle of it at the moment, but keeping my fingers crossed to win this 30mL bottle!

    Thanks again!

  • I posted a submission on March 3,2017 , at 4.53 pm. I forgot to mention that I live in Ohio USA. Please include my area of country with my previous submission to the Roja Dove Amber contest. I am very sorry for forgetting this . Once again, I apologize.

  • Sebastian, why are your reviews so consistently great?! This one sounds like a must try with rose and oud mix!
I’ve never tried Roja parfums. Thanks so much for the chance!

I am intrigued to smell the citrus unfold into the old and rose. I like big, statement fragrances. I’d like to win because I haven’t had any compliments from anything I’ve worn in such a long time. I haven’t tried anything from this line, but I would like to try Fetish.

I am subscribed to Looking Feeling Smelling Great and have been for some time now. I enjoy Sebastian as a fragrance reviewer for o believe we have similar taste in fragrances so I value his opinion highly. This video is no different and I would love to try this one.
I’ve sample ROJA Diaghilev which i love and I loveD even more THE background story behind it b/c I too love Mitsouko by Guerlain as well.

Well, one thing I enjoy about Sebastians reviews is his speaking voice, a lovely speaking voice! And such kind eyes as well :). I have worn Amber extrait, just incredible to me. Roja is VERY talented 🙂 . I have been a perfume hobbyist for 15 years, have tried and own many. However have been unemployed so have not bought much in past year. Winning this would be a joy I tell ya. Thanks for the chance!!

  • I’ve never tried a Roja fragrance but this one sounds superb! Thank you for the draw

  • alexboring says:

He had me at “big, loud, rose oud”. I really don’t have any experience with any Roja parfums except enigma, which I am not a huge fan of. I’d love to win a bottle of this. It sound beautiful, and I’m always looking for a complex perfume to add to my collection.

  • Sebastian does such a great job with fragrance reviews, especially with niche fragrances. You can see the passion he has for this hobby and I really admire that. I have always wanted to get my hands on a Roja Dove fragrance, and I have heard that Amber Aoud is basically one of the best smelling fragrances ever. Boy would I love to win this bottle!

  • I love how he describes and go in depth with his reviews. I don’t own any fragrance from this house, only heard good things and would definitely love to win this one especially after watching Sebastian’s review. I am in Miami.

Nice review. I just discovered the fragrance Amber Aoud and Sebastian Jara’s YouTube channel. I’m always looking out for appropriate Spring/Summer scents for men. Light but masculine.
