Valentine’s Day 2025: Navitus Parfums Amour Infinite, Tom Ford Noir De Noir and StrangeLove MeltMyHeart + Smell Like Love Giveaway

Make Me A Fragrance That Smells Like Love Quote

In 1947, the perfumers Paul Vacher and Jean Carles were asked by designer Christian Dior to “make me a fragrance that smells like love”. The result was Miss Dior. So what does love smell like?  We chose three Valentine’s Day Perfumes for 2025 that speak to love and feelings that come straight from the heart – Michelyn Camen –Editor in Chief

Best Fragrances for Valentine's Day 2025

3 For Valentine’s Day 2025 (image by Steven)

Tom Ford’s Noir de Noir (Harry Fremont and Jacques Cavallier) Part of the Private Blend collection in 2007 Noir de Noir is a memorable rose-patchouli fragrance that smells wonderful for Valentine’s Day. Tom Ford Noir de Noir is a study in contrasts- woody, floral, sweet, spicy and flavorful. Rose, saffron, and truffle enhance the blend and (I have the original bottle) lasts through the next morning. A great choice for Valentine’s Day 2025 (or any day really). – MIchelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Notes: Saffron, truffle, rose, patchouli, tree moss, oud, vanilla

Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart (Christophe Laudamiel): This fragrance lives up to its name. It is my number one choice for Valentine’s Day 2025, because wearing MeltMyHeart REALLY melts my heart (and anyone around me every time I wear it). The dusty cocoa¸ an overdose of buttery orris (one of the most expensive ingredients in the world) and ylang feel plush and creamy and are intertwined in a sensual (sustainable) oud embrace. More important than pleasing others, it reminds me that I wear perfume for myself. I feel more “me” wearing it, and that is everything you can ever want.-Michelyn

Notes: orris butter, dark chocolate, ylang, oud

Navitus Parfums Amour Infinite (Bertrand Duchaufour): This is Steven’s recommendation for Valentine’s Day 2025. Amour Infinite is a modern and elegant fragrance that exudes romance and sophistication. Be unique and unforgettable as you experience the luxurious blend of ingredients infinitely enveloping you in a cloud of love and passion. –Steven Gavrielatos

Top Notes: Italian bergamot, red fruits, pomegranate, pineapple, grapefruit, orange blossom, honeysuckle, rose and jasmine; Base notes; white chocolate, Madagascan vanilla, heliotrope, driftwood and sandalwood

These three fragrances are good fragrances. I especially love love Amour Infinite, and I always look forward to Steven videos. His expertise in fragrances are top tier and I especially love to learn how to PRONOUNCE the fragrance brand and the name of the fragrance.

  • Love the articles! Being a newbie to the fragrance world, these articles have been fascinating to read and have helped strengthen my knowledge of the field. Of course, along with the articles, have been watching Redolessence on YouTube and I enjoy them very much.

Keep up the hard work and will of course continue to support!

  • LATONYA GIPSON-BOWMAN says:

Steven, did an Amazing job describing these fragrances. And reading the descriptions in Michelyn’s review..Smelling beautiful and delicious is definitely something us fragheads want to do on VDAY…So i would love to win this bottle. I live in Orlando Florida, USA

  • When I think of Valentines day scents I think of either something with rose and a little sweet or dark and sexy. Steven has a way of describing scents that make sense. He’s very knowledgeable and I appreciate that. I also like that his channel caters to both men and women. I agree with Michelyn that you wear a scent for yourself and how it makes you feel. Compliments are nice but a scent you love can make you feel beautiful sexy and confident.

  • I have only recently become interested in fragrance on a deeper level and have been amazed by the beauty and complexity that is available! I find a lot of fragrance content on YouTube can lean very gourmand and or vanilla heavy and I’m personally not a gourmand / vanilla fragrance lover which is why I have been loving Steven’s content! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about fragrance and it really makes watching his videos that much more enjoyable!! Happy Valentine’s Day ♥️

  • Tom Ford’s Noir de Noir is my favorite one from the list. Every year I look forward to Steven’s video on valentine’s list and he nails it every time. I’d like to try Amour Infinite. I live in USA.

  • I love Michelyns comment, “More important than pleasing others, it reminds me that I wear perfume for myself.” It’s so true! I don’t wear fragrance for complements, I wear it for me. I appreciate Steven’s review. We all need a good V-Day fragrance whether we’re at single, coupled, or grouped. I’d never heard of “MeltmyHeart” by Strangelove nyc, I’m intrigued. Thank you for the thorough review of Tom Ford Noir de Noir.

  • ShaMara Boone says:

I have really enjoyed Steven’s video specifically on brands, note breakdown and even how to apply them. I’ve never heard of the navitus brand or the melt your heart and I’m curious to learn more about this brand and test them out. I have 2 Tom ford’s for myself & 1 for my husband. I work at salon and part time at Sephora a year now and have gotten more introduced to some great designers slight leaning niches but I have been opened up to an entire new world relating to perfumery through Steven’s channel.

  • natalia.anderson20 says:

I really liked the description of Amore Infinite. My husband and I will celebrating our first Valentines day, this year, as a married couple.
He usually “hates” my perfumes, has not liked a single one to date, LOL, but I shall be try and get my hands on a sample of Amore Infinite, and hope it sways him around 😀
We live in Sydney and shall be going to The Botanic Gardens of Sydney, this scent will be perfect 🙂
Have a wonderful day everyone 🙂

  • Ramses Perez says:

I do agree with Steven that the main reason these fragrances are so expensive is because of the quality of the materials. Yes, some may say Tom Ford is a bit overpriced for what it is but can’t deny it’s an iconic and high quality fragrance. Amour Infinite is a beautiful bottle, highly suited for Valentine’s Day as the color it’s a blend of pink with red tones; announcing what one can expect from it. StrangeLove NYC is a house I’ve heard of (because of their price) and MeltMyHeart does seem to be of the utmost quality specially because of the arte orris butter. Indeed these are three fragrances that give off a Valentine’s vibe and like Michelyn said, fragrances that smell like love in the end. I’m located in the USA and thanks to Navitus for the generous giveaway, yet again.

  • thatgirl_kim__ says:

I enjoyed the way that Steven was passionate about the fragrances and was able to articulate his passion so well without it coming across insincere , I’m genuinely so happy I came across the Redolessence YouTube channel and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the channel.
I also enjoyed the brief history behind the Miss Dior in Michelyn’s intro.
My IG handle is : thatgirl_kim__
May the odds be in my favor as I’d love to get my nose on this fragrance.

  • Desery Garcia says:

First of off I just want to say I look forward to all your videos I’m always looking forward to your thoughts on fragrances, I am a tuberose lover, I also know that you also like tuberose ,so finally I know someone that actually likes that it makes me so happy… Much love and Respect in all you do, keep bringing us happiness

  • BeckaBella3 says:

Always a pleasure hearing Steven describe fragrances. Amore Infinite sounds so beautiful and elegant, definitely calls to me the most…would love to get a bottle of this luxurious sounding fragrance;) California, USA.

  • While I do love to turn heads and be complimented on smelling nice, like Michelyn, I wear perfume for myself. Even when I’m not going anywhere, I don whatever fragrance to suit my mood… And after Steven’s Valentine’s Day recommendations video, I’m in the mood for love! Steven had mentioned Amour Infinite in a previous video and the presentation has me obsessed! Plus, pomegranate, red berries, and rose sounds right up my alley. Noir de Noir sounds lovely, too. Especially with how much Steven seems to like it lol. Is this unisex? He said that he’s worn it so I’m not sure if it’s masculine or unisex. MeltMyHeart’s pricetag would explain why I’m not at all familiar with it lol But given the notes listed I understand why. Michelyn, you had me at “sensual oud embrace”.

  • Shontel Bordelon says:

I love Steven’s description, “it’s illustrious, it’s beguiling” and “fragrance has no gender”…. perfectly said. I’d love to try this fragrance. It sounds amazing!!

  • Joel Teppang says:

Noir de Noir is interesting. I love Rose & Patchouli fragrances but the addition of the truffle note makes it very unique. I’m wondering how it compares to Black Orchid edp? Well, we’ll see I guess….

  • I am a new subscriber to your channel and have really enjoyed your content. I really enjoy they way your describe the fragrances, the notes and how they make you feel. You have such a unique connection to the fragrances. I really like the videos of the older perfume fragrance that you still revisit on occasion.

  • Bernadette Glorio says:

The description of the fragrances are so good. I love Noir de Noir. A perfect Valentines fragrance. Melt My Heart sounds amazing! I need to get my nose on it!!

  • Amour Infinite sounds like it captures the sweet, giddy, and pure aspect of love. There is no brooding or smoldering, just the generosity and easy lightness that comes with an open heart full of devotion. With so much ugliness going on in the world, it is important to remember that we humans are capable of beauty. Wearing Amour Infinite would be a good way to remind ourselves and those around us to embody love.

  • I watch a lot of Steven’s videos and enjoy them very much. I like his direct, to the point descriptions. Sometimes reviews get a little chatty and while there is nothing wrong with that, it’s not what I’m personally looking for. I’m a no nonsense kind of gal.

I also enjoyed Michelyn’s viewpoint of wearing fragrance for oneself. How can you expect other to like and appreciate your fragrance if it doesn’t make the wearer feel their absolute best.

Thank you to Navitus Parfums for their generous gift for the giveaway.

I follow CaFleureBon from two different IG accounts, @thenailnovice and @carrie_earle

GOOD LUCK to all who enter – but I really hope it’s me 🙂

  • Goodluck Ahuekwe says:

I absolutely loved Steven’s video on Valentine’s Day fragrances for 2025! His insights into the various scents and their emotional connections were really engaging. I especially appreciated Michelyn’s introduction and in-depth reviews annd expertise added so much value. The recommended fragrances are perfect for creating memorable moments on such a special day! Can’t wait to try some of them out!”

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I’ve been wanting to get my nose on Noir de Noir for awhile now and this list has reminded me. I can appreciate these 3 different variations on the love theme and would love to sniff them out with this in mind. Chocolate being the link connecting these is an obvious choice for Valentine’s Day, however a fairly unusual ingredient in general. I do love chocolate in all its forms so I know I would appreciate the inclusions here. I am a Redolessence subscriber and follower on ig. I’m Eris.can.swatch.kaos on insta. I live in Oregon.

  • So many wonderful perfumes we can choose from, how hard it is to narrow down! I have not tried the Navitus Amour Infinité but I have heard good things about it. And Steven is very persuasive. The fruitiness sounds interesting and the white chocolate with sandalwood too. I love MeltMyHeart! The whole house has nothing but beauties. I have not tried TF Noir de Noir yet. I love my vintage Miss Diors. My fave ones are Diorella and Diorama.
My IG is @simone.samba I am located in the U.S. I have followed Redolessence.

  • Carmen Jackson says:

Omg I trust Redolessence with my eyes closed! Two of these perfumes are in my list now I want all three! I’m about to start creating contract myself so this three would be great addition to my collection! Thank you for your generosity may this be multiplied with many blessings ❤️❤️

  • Elizabeth Walsh says:

I still havent smelled the nativus line their notes sound divine. I love Tom Ford Noir De Noir. I havent tried Melt my Heart.

  • This review is so great. I like the way Redolessence explains the sent of the perfumes. He made me buy 3 perfumes already this year. Spot on with the reviews Redolessence. Great job!

  • In this Valentine’s Day video and all of your content, I appreciate your gentle nature when speaking about fragrances. In addition, your videos are concise and detailed. You explain the technical aspects (scent notes) and how the fragrance makes you feel. You educate and inspire.

  • Thank you for your thoughtful reviews and videos. You do a great job of highlighting fragrances that don’t get tons of attention in frag. com. It’s nice to hear about different selections.

  • Melissa Kulac says:

I am a firm believer in wearing fragrances for myself, not to impress others. One of my fave scents in perfume is chocolate – creamy and smooth or dark and rich – with beautiful florals. Steven has a gift for describing fragrances and notes that makes it easy for newbies like me to understand. I’ve look forward to learning more from his videos and lists.

  • Great lists and reviews by both of you! Steven Amour Infinite sounds gorgeous; however, I loved what Michelyn wrote on MeltMyHeart. I do have the TF Noir de Noir, which is beautiful. I am in the USA.

  • wallygator88 says:

Thanks for the lovely video and writeup!

I’ve had a chance to try meltmyheart and it truly is such a beautiful fragrance. Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart. There has that beautiful softness behind each moment as this creates amazing harmony behind those. There also has this power for bringing amber elements here being unique but showcasing its softness through and what has fully brought itself up thanks that has made all great fragrances . The end touches that has is power to bring all this around full .

    Cheers from WI, USA

  • Love Steven’s reviews, i’ve been following him for a while and have learned so much about fragrance. His descriptions are thoughtful and knowledgeable.
I’m married 20 years and would love a new scent that “melts my heart and eveyone around me” as Michelyn said. I’m located in NJ

  • Love Steven’s reviews, i’ve been following him for a while and have learned so much about fragrance. His descriptions are thoughtful and knowledgeable. I fear my pocketbook is getting quite a work out from all of his recommendations.
I’m married 20 years and would love a new scent that “melts my heart and eveyone around me” as Michelyn said. Greetings from snowy NJ.

  • I am absolutely blown away about scents and perfumes world. Learn a lot from Steven and he describes the scents so well and I wish one day we can smell on internet.
I am very impressed about this perfumes and wish to own some and hopefully I can afford to buy more in future.
My daughter just bought me MGK for Christmas 2024. Now I learned so many perfumes created when I was looking into Arab World through Internet and soon I stumble upon Stevens blogs.
Surprise about their prices and it was very nice if Steven to explain about the cost of raw materials and also the longevity is about 14 hours. Shocked !!
I really hope to win this perfumes and make my Valentine’s Day. To me is the love of perfume makers. That’s to me is my Valentine’s Day.
    ❤️

Steven, did an Amazing job describing these fragrances. And reading the descriptions in Michelyn’s review. From PA, USA

  • Catherine Cortes says:

I love roses! Steven’s review about Navitus Amour Infinite paints a lifelike impression of love in the air. I’m definitely glad that this is not a gourmand-leaning fragrance where there is chocolate that is not that sweet. His impression of Noir de Noir makes my heart skip a beat while MeltMyHeart just takes me to another level of excitement as I have never heard of this hidden jewel of a bottle before.
Michelyn’s introduction and reviews are very helpful to the prospective purchaser as she never fails to put her practical olfactory impression into a rounded yet multi-faceted tasteful composition.

  • All 3 fragrances sound like wonderful picks for Valentine’s Day. Steven has me interested in Navitus Parfums Amour Infinite . Michelyn’s so right that you wear a scent for yourself and how it makes you feel. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Valentine’s day fragrances are all about romantic florals and mouthwatering gourmands. As Steven mentioned, the quality of the ingredients is top-notch on all three selections. Like Michelyn, I wear scent to please myself, not others. TF Noir de Noir is the only one of the three I’ve tried before. MD, USA

  • I found Steven through Brooklyn Fragrance Lover way back when. I look forward to his reviews. I have purchased several bottles for women in my life base on his recommendations. Of the 3, I think Amour Infinite would be a winner among my women.
    -California

  • Fun list for Valentine’s Day. Reading Michelyn’s blurbs, Noir de Noir’s rose, patchouli, and saffron combination is always reliable, Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart sounds heady with that overdose of orris, and Amour Infinite is a more maximalist spin on the theme. Steven noted that the chocolate in Amour Infinite isn’t very sweet; interesting overlap with MeltMyHeart’s cocoa note. Of course, he also pointed out rose is going to remind most folks of Valentine’s Day. I’m also really intrigued by the surprising absinthe accord in MeltMyHeart Steven highlighted.

    I’m in the USA.

  • That was a cool request for the Miss Dior fragrance. I do like the new formulation. I love that the chocolate isn’t too sweet. I hadn’t hear about this collaboration with Aisha. Noir Noir is tried and true for sure. Haven’t smelled that for awhile. I’ve heard the Strangelove perfume line is strong. I’d love to win this creation by Bertrand. He’s genius. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • These all sound wonderful. Steven’s description of Amour Infinite made me think of a filled bonbon, with pomegranate, red berry and rose ganache filling enrobed in dark chocolate. MeltMyHeart, with all that Orris love, would be wonderful to try, along with Noir de Noir. I enjoyed gaining some insight into Michelyn’s valentines desires through her descriptions and picks. I need to get to a perfume counter to do some sniffing, soon! Thank you for the lovely reviews and the generous draw. I’m in the US, and would love to try Amour Infinite. Thank you

  • Leona Marchand says:

I have never owned so lovely of fragrances. I’d love to try them. I don’t even know what stores to find them in. Until then I watch you and dream.

  • I always enjoy Steven’s descriptions. Just enough, not too much! The notes in the Navitus fragrance do sound delicious and like something that would make you smell lovely! I’m in USA. Thank you for the draw.

  • Very informative introduction and in depth review by Michelyn and Steven. Really enjoyed Michelyn’s personal touch in the introductions, especially with how gourmand Strangelove NYC MeltMyHeart sounds. Great pick by Steven as well, haven’t personally smelt Amour Infinite but the mix of pomegranate, red berry, and pink rose sound incredible.

Michelyn always recommends great fragrances. I have tried Noir de Noir and I love the way the truffle and rose blend together. I haven’t tried MeltMyHeart, but the buttery orris sounds gorgeous.I am sure this is an embraceable fragrance. And, despite the price, it would be a good investment. I enjoyed Steven’s description of Amour Infinite, It does indeed sound beguiling. I love pomegranate and red berries, so I will definitely try this.
    Happy Valentine’s Day!
    I live in the USA.

  • Steven’s videos are always so helpful – and never too much filler, always precise and to the point. And of course Michelyn always has a lovely way with words. Amour Infinite sounds like an absolute dream… I’d be so thrilled to try it. I’m in the USA.
