Top Five Summer Perfumes

Top Five Summer Perfumes 2025 image by Steven

It’s here! Summer. Some of us love the season; some of us count the days to October. Either way, most of us look for scents that do more than cool us down; they lifts our spirits. They aren’t overwhelming, but have presence and bloom in the heat. This year’s top five Summer Perfumes were curated by Steven Gavrielatos, ÇaFleureBon’s video contributor-Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

Summer is a great time to wear Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Flower (Emilie Bouge) which blends sea air and florals. Complemented by creamy blooming notes, a salty ocean accord, and warm woods, the perfume mirrors the rhythm of the tide meeting the land. It is easy to understand why this made Steven’s top five summer perfumes. Steven’s video here

Notes according to the brand’s website: Australian Coastal Tea Tree, Coral Flower (Coral Flower is a type of peony), Cocowax, Tuberose, Patchouli Indonesia, Australian Sandalwood, Sea Salt Accord

In recent years, the internet has fixated on one trendy drink after another, and the past two summers have been dominated by the Aperol Spritz, its vibrant, bittersweet charm flooding our social media feeds. Maison Margiela Replica has captured this carefree summer vibe with Never Ending Summer – a fragrance inspired by the refreshing bite of Aperol and the zesty pop of a juicy orange garnish. This scent evokes sun-soaked days, lively gatherings, and sweet summer getaways. –Olya Bar, Editor

Notes: bitter orange, aperol pepper; earl grey tea, cardamom, nutmeg, vetiver, cedarwood, patchouli, vanilla, peru balsam and Cashmeran.

La Mar by House of Bo Rodrigo Flores-Roux) is a gorgeous blend of tuberose and coconut. This is a gem is beautifully diffusive, and the floral bouquet smells incredibly natural and photorealistic. Which is why it is one of my top five summer perfumes- Steven

Fleuve Tendre by Liquides Imaginaires (Sonia Constant) is an animalic summer perfume with mandarin orange, musk, and civet. A touch of rose adds sensuality while cardamom engages in the mysterious elements of the composition. -Steven

If you are looking for a fragrance that takes you to the Cote D’Azur, Atelier Des Ors Riviera Drive (Marie Salamagne) will whisk you there with just a spritz (far away from summer in the city). Inspired by the movie “To Catch a Thief”, Riviera Drive is very fresh, adventurous, and exhilarating. A flash of bright lemon and a tumble of fresh herbs create the aromatic impression of riding in a classic 1950s convertible with the wind in your hair. The gold flakes in the bottle are like gilded grains of sand sur la plage. It is one of my top five summer perfumes as well-Michelyn

Notes: Lemon, marjoram, rosemary, cedar leaf, absinthe, patchouli, Cashmeran, cedar and musk.

Disclosure: Steven received bottles for this review; opinions his own. Michelyn had a bottle of Atelier Des Ors Riviera Drive gifted to her from Atelier des Ors in 2019, Olya was gifted Martin Margiela

  • I always enjoy how Steven gives me fragrances no other content creator is mentioning. Also love how it’s not all masculines but also unisex and fems

  • TheHappyDarin says:

I absolutely love learning about fragrances, and this curated list is spectacular. I have smelled Never Ending Summer, and it is stunning. Clean, quick summer fragrances are my absolute jam!

  • Makenzie Banister says:

Steven is someone I’ve followed for a while! At first a silent follower, but he’s introduced me to so many brands! From niche to middle eastern and everything in between. First, I love his enthusiasm and his honesty, I love his broad taste. Second, I love how consistent he is with his videos. In this particular video, I appreciate the details he goes into with each scent as well as the ability to narrow it down to five! I know how difficult that always is. Summer scents have always been my favorite so I love hearing about different fragrances!! La Mar has been a top favorite of mine for a while! I can’t wait to test the others!

While I have sniffed Never Ending Summer and ultimately decided it wasn’t suited for me, I can appreciate the description Olya Bar had given.
On the other hand, lemon in right up my alley! I have been eager to test out Atelier Des Ors perfumes especially Blue Madeleine, I’m now intrigued after reading Michelyn’s description of Riviera Drive! Adventures in a 1950s convertible!? Count me in!!!

Thank you SO much for the incredible opportunity!!!

  • Summer recommendations usually focus on a lot of bright citrus fragrances but personally I love florals. So, I’m happy to see both highlighted in this list! I’ve been wanting to get my nose on Pacific Rock Flower since Steven reviewed it back in May. And House of Bo has been on my radar since the release of Ave Maria… La Mar features TUBEROSE (and coconut)? Say less! I’ve just expanded my wishlist

  • I appreciate that Steven not only gives great descriptions of the fragrances, he also gives comparison. This helps if someone might be considering a blind buy of a fragrance. Your article gives a nice description of the fragrances as well. It’s helpful that you list the notes of the fragrances.

  • Beautiful written article Living year around in a very warm climate I welcome Summer Fragrance recommendations

  • jennapark says:

I trust and like Steven’s reviews. He doesn’t just give notes he gives longevity ,vibe and occasion. I also appreciate that he always encourages his audience to sample before purchasing. I think that’s an important lesson for people getting into fragrance because a lot of these are pricey. I do feel i need to sample Fleuve tender because an animalic summer perfume intimidates me a little. Riveria Drive described as fresh exhilarating and bright sounds like my perfect summer scent. The gold flakes add a special touch to the beautiful presentation. I would love to own a bottle. Hello from Pennsylvania USA

  • Nikita Smith says:

All of the fragrances in the video are so uber chic made for the summers . Im in love with all of them .

  • I always love Steven’s videos. He always does an awesome job reviewing, and I’ve heard great things about Goldfield and Banks

  • Daisy Pere says:

I have actually sampled Atelier des Ors Riviera Drive and it’s an absolutely beautiful and it’s on top of my wish list. Steve sure knows how to describe it. I have seen it on Luckyscents. Goldfield & Banks Pacific Rock Flower has been on my sample list along with Fleuve Tendre by Liquides Imaginaires

  • januarysquires says:

I am new to learning about fragrances and Steven is my favorite influencer for all things fragrance! Love love love his content and have enjoyed trying out some of his recommendations! I am very excited to try out the ones listed here!

  • FreshyForever says:

Greetings Ca Fleure Bon & Steven,

I appreciate the emphasis both in this article as well as Steven’s video of fragrances’ ability to transport you to another place. The cold aromatics in Atelier Des Ors Riviera Drive really intrigue me. On the other side of the spectrum, Pacific Rock Flower holds my interest as well for its warm and smooth profile. Different fragrances, different “places.” This is what makes trying and learning about fragrances so fun and rewarding. (I reside in Texas)

  • I love to see new suggestions that aren’t the typical hyped fragrances of the moment.

  • Ramses Perez says:

These are great picks! I’m familiar with all these houses but have yet to experience any of them. Particularly, anything from House Of Bo I’m dying to try as it’s a very trendy house. Fleuve Tendre could perhaps be a bit challenging because of the civet note but I’m sure it has its fans. Never Ending Summer is newer and I still have not gotten around to smell it. Pacific Rock Flower is brand spanking new and a newer take on what summer could be. Finally Riviera Drive is an underrated gem from the house (I’ve heard) and I’m glad it’s getting its moment in the spotlight. I’m located in the USA.

  • I enjoy Steven’s content because he allows himself to be enveloped in the fragrances. He’s always honest and forthcoming and advises against blind buys, which I appreciate. His categorization of the fragrances piqued my interest and influenced my to try the House of Bō fragrance.

  • Marie Larochelle says:

I really appreciate Steven knowledge and he is very great and passionate about what he does and I have been attending some lives in Ticktock and watching a lot of his videos on YouTube for months now and his recommendations are always great.

  • Steven made all those fragrances sound great (though tuberose and I don’t much get along….sorry House of Bo). Both Fleuve Tendre and Riviera Drive stood out as scents I need go get my nose on. An added bonus for the latter is Michelyn’s mention of TO CATCH A THIEF, as I love Hitchcock. I’m in Oklahoma, USA.

  • I love Steven’s descriptions. I can 100% tell what I will and will not like based on his very detailed descriptions. He has influenced all my fragrance purchases this year. I really appreciate his honest yet positive reviews. Michelyn describes Atelier des Ors Riviera Drive as having lemon, patchouli, AND cedar? Yes please! I have a lemon vanilla I love but the lemon is the first note to dissapear. I would love to see how their lemon notes perform and I would be very tempted to blind buy.

Olya’s description of Never Ending Summer makes me think it may not be for me as I dont really enjoy “beach” scents but the compisition sounds new and unique; worthy of a sample sniff. Maybe it just might change my mind!

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I loved hearing more about Atelier des Ors Riviera Drive. The beautiful bottle with the gold flecks and the getaway theme to Riviera Drive sound amazing. It was also nice to learn more about the other 4 fragrances on the list. I’d really love to win a bottle of Atelier des Ors Riviera Drive. I live in Maryland USA.

  • Sahjewels9 says:

Greetings, Steven’s review is very descriptive and paints that picture of what the perfume will smell like on your skin. Steven is very smooth with it that I will purchase a bottle very soon. I love that their is a giveaway which an opportunity of gifting to someone. Michelyn’s discription of Atelier des Ors Riviera Drive makes feel once you have this fragance there is nothing stopping you on your summer journey.

Olya’s take on Never Ending Summer has you thinking once you have sprayed this on you will be hydrated as well as kissed by the sun’s rays of fragrance in a Never Ending Summer. These video’s and reviews are the best way to learn about perfumes. Thank you

  • Greg Graham Sr says:

I love the summer Fragrances, all of these Fragrances sound Awesome for the summer. I live in the deep South USA these will have there work cut out for them. Thank You Steven and Cafleurebon and Michelyn.

  • Lisa Jarrett says:

I enjoy Steven’s ability to translate fragrance through his reviews. I know what to expect, and in fact, I have blind bought several perfumes, just based off of his detailed descriptions. House of Bo has my interest peaked! I’m a huge tuberose fan!
Michelyn’s comments assure readers, that the fragrance selections are perfect for summer. I literally imagine the bright crisp clearness in Atelier Des Ors Riviera Drive.
Olya, likening the perfume to a cocktail was creative! Her description of Never Ending Summer is making my mouth water!
All of these selections sound absolutely delicious!
    Lisa in Texas

  • Valarie Hayes says:

Fleuve Tendre is a scent that interests me because it’s not one spoken about much. Your description on an animalic summer perfume with mandarin orange, musk, and civet sounds intriguing.

  • Great presentation, Steve! I really appreciate your passion for perfume and your realistic descriptions, although I love Michelyn’s insertion of that scent from To Catch A Thief. It immediately came to mind and I can see that the Cote d’Azur perfume sounds perfect! And Olya, thank you for your thoughts on Maison Margela Replica Never Ending Summer. I haven’t had great luck with the Replica series, but I will give Summer a try. One other things – I got a sample of Pacific Moss Flower and I really like the soft but elegant tea accord. I was surprised that it wasn’t drowned out by the other heavier accords. Thanks again.

  • Sister Christian says:

I’ve been inspired to try 3 of the fragrances Steven described:
Riviera Drive, Never Ending Summer, & Pacific Rock Flower.
Steven described each fragrance well enough for me to know which I gravitated toward. He came across as extremely knowledgeable about fragrances so I felt I could trust his recommendations.
His presentation was clear and easy to understand and follow.
(That the man’s easy on the eyes doesn’t hurt any either 😉

  • I love how Steve fully expresses his enthusiasm for fragrance. He made all the perfumes sound so interesting in different ways. I cannot wait to sniff them.
The article was beautiful in its imaginative scene descriptions of how these fragrances smell. You can fully imagine the smell from their words and I appreciated that.

  • Nancy Magee says:

Love Steven’s passion and his depth of knowledge. I listen to his every word!

  • Meesh Milton says:

I’m new to Steven’s channel and love how he is so enthusiastic about the scents he shares. Many fragrances he shared are new to me and his recommendations I’ve purchased have all been winners! I appreciate the opportunity to share my gratitude for the Redolessence channel.

  • Catherine Shepherd says:

Never Ending Summer sounds so good!! I appreciate Steven’s insights and being able to keep up with new frags through his channel

  • Barbara Eskin says:

Thank you for the reccomendations! It’s getting very hot in Boston. I need the advice.

  • Steven’s curated list has such great recommendations. I love how he included so many different types of fragrances to highlight how many types can work in the summer. I love La Mar by House of Bo and would love to smell the rest of his recommendations.

  • What I appreciated about Steven’s video was how thoughtful the list felt. These aren’t just fresh summer scents—they have dimension, wear well in heat, and still feel elevated. La Mar by House of Bo especially caught my attention. I love creamy white florals, and the tuberose and coconut pairing sounds like the kind of warm, radiant composition I reach for in the summer. I enjoy tropical notes when they’re done with finesse, and Steven’s description made it sound beautifully natural and diffusive—like something in the same spirit as Musamam White Intense, but more floral-forward.

Olya’s review of Never Ending Summer made me smile. I’ve always liked citrus with a twist, and the idea of bitter orange, aperol, and Earl Grey tea sounds like a sophisticated summer pick that’s fun without being overly sweet or trendy. I love when a scent captures a vibe but still feels unique, the way Callisto does for me.

Michelyn’s write-up of Riviera Drive painted a full scene. The reference to “To Catch a Thief” and the image of riding along the Côte d’Azur with lemon and herbs swirling in the air was spot on. I’m always drawn to compositions that feel classic but have a little unexpected edge, and this one sounds fresh, aromatic, and just adventurous enough.

Thanks for such a vibrant roundup. I always look for summer scents that wear beautifully on skin and stand out from the crowd, and this list gave me several new ones to explore.

  • AmberParrigan says:

Absolutely love Steven’s recommendations. I’m drawn to his youtube channel for some reason. I had a brother who has now passed away that was named Steven. I named my youngest son after him, as well. This is really a great opportunity for someone like me who is just starting out with their fragrance collection. It’s only been about a year and a half. I’m trying to broaden my collection. Refine my tastes, as well. I have 4 niche fragrances so far. They are a little out of my price range. My wish list is continuously growing, my collection is, too. Just a little slow right now. Thanks again for this amazing opportunity! This is really kind of you all!

  • Systeme D says:

Thanks to Steve, for introducing me to Fleuve Tendre. It sounds so interesting! But of all of the fragrances he has reviewed in this video, Riviera Drive appeals to me the most. I’m crazy for herbs and citrus when they are in balance, and I’m not surprised it’s his number one, too.

Michelyn’s references to the Cote D’Azur and to the film To Catch a Thief provide such perfect images for this fragrance. But honestly, the fact that she puts this in her top five summer fragrances is all the assurance I need that Riviera Drive is a winner.

And my comment would not be complete without an Aperol spritz toast to Olya. It’s hot as Hades in Chicago today, and a refreshing drink is right on the money!
