The event will debut the formation of IPF/USA and the publication of “Understanding The Importance of the Olfactory Sense”: How To Preserve It, How To Develop It, How To Restore It by Creezy Courtoy, Founder and Chair of The International Perfume Foundation.

“Workshops for Little Noses, The Importance of the Olfactory Sense: How to Preserve it, How to Protect it, How to Recover it,” by Creezy Courtoy. Creezy Courtoy is the founder of The International Perfume Foundation (IPF), and she is also a perfume historian and anthropologist. “Workshops for Little Noses” is an educational program that teaches us how to restore our sense of smell as adults, develop it in children, and preserve it in babies. During her research, Creezy spent time with gorillas studying the olfactory sense. According to Creezy Courtoy of The International Perfume Foundation, this sense has been neglected and rejected by our society since the 19th century and more focus has been placed on sight and hearing. The International Perfume Foundation Creezy Courtoy’s book leads us back to our deep memories, and helps us to re-discover the importance of the olfactory sense.

Natural perfume is at the heart of Creezy Courtoy  of The International Perfume Foundation research and work with the IPF. “The fragrances of flowers and nature are a path towards the repossession of the hidden wisdom of our bodies,” is among the ideas I’m looking forward to learning more about!

The International Perfume Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Brussels that is spreading the word far and wide about the value and relevance of natural perfumes. It is also involved in research projects on plant DNA as a means to restore human DNA and heal chronic diseases. I’m thrilled to be a part of this organization as their Director of Animal Conservation. Creezy will be signing her books and discussing the mission of the IPF, which is making its US debut at this event.

This sounds like a wonderful even Michelyn! I have learned to appreciate the beauty and “life” of natural perfumes – in both EDP and oil forms. Australia is lucky to have a couple of talented natural perfumers who have a great understanding of the healing properties of certain fragrant oils. What a lovely way to spend an autumn afternoon. I wish I lived closer!
