3 best fragrances for 2025

The House of Oud Guilty Crush, Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight and Clive Christian Contemporary (image by Steven)

It’s a new year so it’s time to change up your fragrance game in 2025. Video Contributor Steven Gavrielatos shares three you should be wearing in 2025: The House of Oud Guilty Crush, Clive Christian Contemporary, and Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight

The House of Oud Guilty Crush (Christian Calabro): The House of Oud Guilty Crush is such a unique olfactory offering. The champagne accord in combination with the lipstick accord, makes the fragrance simultaneously fresh and sensual. It is the perfect perfume to associate with joyful occasions and celebratory moments. -Steven

Top notes are Wild Strawberry, Black Cherry and Champagne; middle notes are Lipstick, Rose and Jasmine; base notes are Musk, Vanilla, Benzoin and Cedarwood.

Clive Christian Contemporary (Angela Stavrevska) is very nostalgic for me as it conjures up many memories from my youth. It reminds me of a handful of other fragrances that I used to wear when I was much younger, and it’s a very fresh and easy to wear composition. It’s a fragrance that I think people should be wearing in 2025 because it has mass appeal, it is very versatile, it is very high quality, and I think it deserves a lot more attention.

Top notes are Blackberry, Violet, Geranium and Black Pepper; middle notes are Cedar and Nutmeg; base notes are Malt and Moss

Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight (perfumer undisclosed): Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight contains a big dose of Hedione, which is believed by some scientific sources to trigger the pleasure centers of the brain. It’s a fragrance that always puts me in a good mood, and it lifts my spirits whenever I am down. It is perfect for the colder months of the year, and because we are in the month of January, it’s a composition that works perfectly in the winter.

Top notes are Cherry, Pink Pepper and Black Pepper; middle notes are Cognac, Hedione and Rose; base notes are Tobacco, Vanilla, Tonka, Cedar and Patchouli.

I think Steven presentation of the fragrances were very good. When he describes a fragrance it makes you want to run right out and blind buy it without even trying it first. His knowledge of the fragrance notes makes you think you can trust everything he says. I look forward to all his videos daily.

  • BlackConvoy says:

It’s a great video. Between the two available, I’m gonna go with the Narcotic Delight. Ordinarily NOT a fan of the tobacco notes, but if that hedione is as potent as they say…this could be a very useful scent for my currently empty arsenal!!

  • Sheryl Pehr says:

I can’t wait to try all 3 that Steven spoke about. Narcotic Delight is my choice. Thanks so very much for this opportunity.

  • Jackie Rosenfeld says:

All three of these sound delightful, but I’ve only smelled Narcotic Delight and LOVE it so much. I agree with him that it gives Side Effect a run for its money–the sweetness is sooo lovely. It is definitely what I would choose.

  • Ramses Perez says:

I am familiar with these houses and they are truly remarkable. I am not familiar with Clive Christian Contemporary but Steven mentioned it reminds him of Costa Azzura so must be a very clean/citric offering. Guilty Crush then has a lipstick accord and with the iris it must be very powdery. The House Of Oud bottles are works of arts and I believe all are hand made (crazy!). The champagne accord gives way for a celebratory occasion. Narcotic Delight is the fragrance I’m going for should I be so lucky to win. I don’t have many cherry fragrances but Initio is a top tier house. Furthermore, this hedione note Steven keeps mentioning has peaked my curiosity and I wanna find out how I would react to it. I’m located in the USA.

  • David Poling says:

I believe Steven is the best perfume reviewer on youtube and I enjoy a lot of the same scent profiles/notes.

I have sampled Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight and absolutely love it. Being a big fan of the tobacco note along with Initio’s Side Effect I knew this would be a winner. Narcotic Delight is a very sexy scent and the drydown is unbelievably addictive it takes your breath away. I could smell it for 24 hrs after spraying on the back of my hand. Would love to get this bottle in my collection. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

  • Guilty crush smells so good and sexy. I smelled it before but I do not have the perfume. I love how you don’t allow the lipstick accord detour you from the perfume. It’s definitely unisex and sexy.

Narcotic delight sounds really good too.

  • I’m so glad I watched Steven’s video. Crave was one of my husbands favorite perfumes back in the day and he has always been searching for something similar. I’m going to order a sample of Contemporary immediately so he can try it. Narcotic Delight is also one of my favorites. I would love to win a bottle.

  • Gregory Deberry says:

His delivery and passion is unmatched!!! He’s the only creator that makes me want to go out and blind buy fragrances. He didn’t disappoint with this video at all, comparing the Clive Christian to CK One Crave was a great way to help us get an idea of what it smells like. I’m so intrigued by Narcotic Delight I cannot wait to get my nose on that. Keep bringing us this amazing content

  • KATHERINE CONCEPCION says:

  • Donna Murphy-Carosi says:

The Narcotic Delight sounds delicious! Anything that may trigger my happy center is intriguing. The notes of cherry, rose and vanilla are an added bonus. I loved Steve’s video. He is so knowledgeable! I am taking his word that this is the #1 of the 3.
    USA

  • I am fairly new to Steven’s videos, but I enjoy his approach to perfumery and his explanation of notes and sillage. I have a small collection of fairly inexpensive perfumes, as I am just starting to learn what I love. I look forward to expanding my collection and adding higher end fragrances as well.

  • I’m excited about wearing these 3 fragrances and enjoy Steven’s reviews. I’m a super fan of The House of Oud for me everything they launch is a guarantee. So obviously I would like to win The House of Oud Guilty Crush!

  • I thought they were good options. I like how Steven breaks down the fragrance and how and why he likes them. I have heard of the house of oud before, but have never tried any of their releases before. I would, if I win, want to recieve Crazy Crush because it seems so elegant to me.

  • My take on Steven’s video is that those three perfumes to him are masterpieces, therefore he invites us to try and enjoy the same feeling these three perfumes evoke to him. The House of Oud Guilty Crush by Steven expression of this perfume is definitely unique but could be a mass appealing scent since the frangace is very refined like a gentleman with a suit on scent profile but also easy to wear. Clive Christian Contemporary seems to be a different take on a fresh scent profile with those base notes malt and moss, definitely intriguing. It seems Contemporary can make us remember our young days and when the only perfumes we used were freshies and aquatics, definitely that is something that not all perfumes can do, trigger an memory. Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight seems to be as Steven said the perfect scent when you are moody and in one of ( Those Days ). Narcotic Delight just by the name evokes delightfullness and something that you can’t let go of, definitely it sounds like the scent you would wear when you are the star of the party and you need to take everything on your shoulders that kind of scent.

If I win, I choose The House of Oud Guilty Crush because aside from the amazing presentation from the house as allways, this scent profile could be described as The Wedding Scent because definitely you could find all those notes in the biggest celebration of one’s life a wedding. Therefore when I decide to marry definitely would want to wear something like this Guilty Crush perfume.

I think Steven bought these three perfumes. One he said they are from his collection and two by his reactions it seems he was eager to buy and enjoy the whole experience. When you know you know. I do the same.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

This is a lovely list of three to wear in 2025. I’ve not gotten my nose on any of the three, but that must change this year! House of Oud is a brand I want to get to know and I would love to get some Initio into my hands. I am a Redolessence subscriber and follower. I would absolutely love to win Initio’s Narcotic Delight. This composition is breathtaking and mouth-watering. Let’s add it to my modest collection. I live in Oregon.

  • I enjoyed Steve’s review. I haven’t sampled any of these 3 fragrance houses. I do like the bottle’s for The House of Oud. Guilty Crush the notes lipstick & iris sounds interesting to me. Thank you for this chance USA

  • Adan Hernandez says:

I love the way, how you expressed yourself all the time about perfumes. People are always talking about Initio fragrances! I would love to give it a try.

  • I always watch Stevens videos for insight, also he is positive and cares for people watching his channel. Guilty crush will be my preference as I do not have any fragrance from this house

  • Just got a sample of Narcotic Delight when I picked up Atomic Rose. I was torn between getting it or a Xerjoff newbie. Absolutely love Steven’s description of each fragrance, definitely is spot on for Narcotic Delight! Will try a sample of the other two as they sound amazing!

  • 3 fantastic houses.
House of Oud, with the distinguished bottle and cap shape.
I have read the quality of their scents is outstanding.
Clive Christian, another powerhouse that has amazing fragrances. I sampled X and it was outstanding.

Initio Parfuns. I haven’t had the chance to sample or test anything from Initio, and when Steven describes Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight, I thought: I want it.

With the cold weather hitting the Northeast, this warm scent is an invitation, a cozy blanket that envolves you from the cold weather. The way Steven describes Narcotic Delight, it really wants you to own the fragrance.

I wish I can be the lucky winner of Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight.

To the Cagfleurebon team of contributors, perfumers, distributors, and the whole community, have a fantastic 2025.

    From the USA.

  • I love the house of Initio. Narcotic Delight is truly a masterpiece. I love the fact that it has cherry touch! I would love to add it to my collection. Love the recommendations, very unique.

  • I so enjoy Steven’s passion for scent and his favorite frags, and i was tickled when, about 6.5 minutes in, he says that the next scent he would recommend to just anyone, that he would need to for to know you and your proclivity a bit better in order to make a sound comparison…I just love how seriously he would take giving a recommendation! I also appreciate his urging to wear what you like, for you, to uplift your spirits, which is why i wear perfume. As usual for Steven’s review, I have a hard time picking just one, he speaks so glowing of all. I’m going to go with his #1, Narcotic Delight, a cherry and viscous sweetness delight.
Thank you for the great reviews and generous draws! I’m in the us.

  • Just got a sample of narcotic delight. Love it! That would be my preference. Initio is one of my favorites perfume houses.
Howdy to Steven from a Bergen county neighbor!

  • Thanks for the opportunity. Narcotic delight with especially the hedione sounds absolutely inbtriguing. Its been so long since I’v been longing to try this particular fragrance. It is definitely what I would choose.

  • Citrus Paradise says:

This Initio gives all the feels. Narcotic Delight with Cherry, Cognac Pepper, Tobacco sounds like my fragrance dream come true. Steven’s detailed breakdown of these fragrances was exceptional as always.

  • Guilty Crush has me intrigued with that champagne accord! The House of Oud’s presentation is always stunning. The way Steven described Narcotic Delight’s cherry and tobacco blend really caught my attention. Would love to win the Narcotic Delight.
    I’m in the USA

  • fragrant_attention says:

I love Initio perfumes! So far I have tried and purchased their side effects and oud for greatness. And they are all amazing! I would really love to win a bottle of the new Narcotic Delight perfume. Thanks steven for such a vivid and detailed review. NYC,US

  • Steven’s review of Guilty Crush perfectly captures what makes The House of Oud so remarkable. His explanation of how the wild strawberry and champagne create that perfect festive opening before revealing the sophisticated heart is masterful. It would be a difficult choice to make which one I’d choose if I were to win. Since I have already tried the Guilty crush, I would go for the Initio.

  • I am new to niche fragrances and they all sound amazing. I would love either Guilty Crush or Narcotic Delight, but if I had to choose one it would be Guilty Crush.

  • fragrancegorlie says:

The way Steven got excited about Narcotic Delight potentially surpassing Side Effect says a lot. His description of the cherry note and viscous sweetness sounds perfect for winter. Would love to win that one. USA resident.

  • Odor Aeternitatis says:

Steven’s description of Guilty Crush being perfect for celebratory moments really resonates. The combination of champagne sparkle and sophisticated iris sounds perfect for special occasions. However, narcotic delight is the fragrance I’m going for should I be so lucky to win the drawing.

  • sourbergamot says:

Loved the video and the review. The breakdown of how the cherry note avoids being sweet by balancing with cognac and tobacco sounds perfect. The way Steven explained the hedione effect while relating it to the overall mood is fascinating. His description of cold weather performance makes it sound ideal for the current season. Would love to win this one! US based.

  • The composition of Guilty Crush sounds so sophisticated and the detailed breakdown of Narcotic Delight’s progression by steven is amazing. Would love to win this one! USA

  • I always love a wear-and-go scent that is appropriate for all occasions; I have smelled Contemporary and agree with his view on it being bright and energetic. House of Oud’s Guilty Crush, with accords of lipstick/Iris accord and champagne, he felt was perfect for special occasions or events was noteworthy. Of the three, Narcotic Delight being his number one choice speaks volumes. This scent with its Hedione note, has given Side Effect, one of his favorites from the brand, a run for its money. That is high praise. Of the three, Initio Narcotic Delight is the scent that piqued my interest.
    USA

  • Narcotic delight is indeed an amazing fragrance. I’m curious how the notes of cognac, cherry and tobacco (my favorite) bring this scent to life. I also really enjoy how the note of hedione triggers the pleasure centers of the brain. Just so intrigung….

  • Steven has been my go to frag guy for almost 2 years now. His description of Contemporary sounds amazing, but Narcotic Delight’s complex development and mood-lifting properties make it my clear choice.Thank you so much for the opportunity!

  • shining stones says:

Notes of tobacco, cherry, and cognac with Hedione? Wow! Sounds good to me. I like Steven’s description of Hedione. Never know the affects this has in the brain. Never tried anything from Initio but his enthusiasm for Narcotic Delight has now gotten me interested so would love to win it.

  • Great video and great give away. I just recently started my Niche fragrance collection last November. Initio Narcatic Delight is on my list for wants this year and I would be super grateful and appreciative if I were to be the lucky winner. I am a subscriber Redolessence and I am registered ÇaFleureBon reader.

  • Swetrosysillage says:

Loved the suggestions! I love this particular offering from Initio and can hopefully win the giveaway to try the narcotic delight. It sounds like it’s right up my alley. Sweet fragrances with depth are some of my favorite. Steven did a fantastic job describing the fragrance. I know it made me want it even more! The cognac note excites me because boozy notes are in my top 3 fragrance notes. I live in the US.

  • Controlledbyscent31 says:

The House of Oud’s artisanal bottles are incredible. Just for the design itself it makes me want to run right out and blind buy it without even trying it first.
That being said, Narcotic delight would be my choice of fragrance.

  • In the Narcotic delight the vanilla and cognac with the peppers – all these sound incredible and this is why I want to try Narcotic Delight even more. I find the description of the cherry interesting as well. It is definitely what I would choose.

  • I liked all this recommendations in the video. I have never tried any of the fragrances he mentioned but as always he recommends nothing but the best. If I am the winner, I will chose Narcotic Delight out of the 2 offerings.

  • LavenderJuliette says:

Narcotic Delight sounds absolutely scrumptious. Can’t wait to get my nose on it. The way the weather is set up, I hope I get in time to enjoy during the cooler weather.
Steven, Redolessence, great description and lineup, per usual.

  • Perpetual collector says:

The lipstick accord in Guilty Crush sounds so wonderfully unique. His description of the champagne accord adding that celebratory touch really makes it sound like a perfect special occasion scent. The way he broke down the progression from top to base notes helped me understand why this would be such a versatile addition to any collection.
Given how much I love cherry fragrances and I am a fan on Side Effect so I can’t wait to smell their narcotic delight. I would, if I win, want to recieve the latter.
    US

  • Enjoyed the video from Steven. Narcotic Delight sounds good. Side Effect is a really nice scent so Narcotic Delight should be great. Thanks, California

  • Raquel Kelechian says:

I have learned so much from Steve and his videos. His knowledge and insight are so valuable. He has also never steered me wrong with any of his recommendations. He truly sparked something in me and my journey with niche fragrances became a passion. All the fragrances sound beguiling but I think the one that interests me most is Narcotic Delight. The notes align perfectly with what I gravitate towards. Thank you for the opportunity!

  • Kathy Tucker says:

I’m so glad to find CafleureBon. I believe that I would love either of the fragrances and would be very happy to win one! Thank you for the opportunity!

  • The description of narcotic delight has me excited for what might be a more masculine/unisex expression of a cherry nuance to the scent. I am a fan of cherry and own several cherry dominant fragrances, but none resemble the descriptions of this particular experience. A must wear for winter months for sure.

  • All three brands you mentioned are of exceptional quality. While I’ve had the opportunity to test both Initio and Clive Christian, I have yet to experience The House of Oud, as it’s not readily available here in Sri Lanka. However, based on your reviews—which are consistently fair and free of unnecessary hype—I trust that it lives up to its high reputation.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Steven is so fantastic at describing every aspect of perfumes. I love his reviews. He describes scent and performance so well. Narcotic delight jumps out to me right now as it’s bitterly cold in Indiana where I live and it sounds really fitting. I’d love to win that!

  • The House of Oud never disappoints. Guilty Crush sounds like such a joyful fragrance. Loved Steven’s explanation of Narcotic Delight’s mood-lifting properties. It’s my pick if I win.

  • Steven’s detailed breakdown of these fragrances was absolutely exceptional as always. The way he described Narcotic Delight’s cherry and tobacco blend really caught my attention. The addition of hedione makes it sound particularly intriguing. Would love to win the Narcotic Delight bottle, there’s nothing quite like it in my collection. I’m in the USA.

  • Arian Jamali says:

Steven’s fragrance presentation was excellent. His delivery and passion are unparalleled, making him the only creator who inspires me to blind buy fragrances. All three of the fragrances are fantastic.Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight is my choice and i live in the US.

  • Steven’s video was well put together and very informative. It gave all the information I wanted to know about the fragrances and made me want to try all of them immediately. I also love Side Effect and Psychedelic Love so I know I will love narcotic delight also! I would love to win this amazing fragrance.

  • Chris Larson says:

I have watched his videos for a few years now and enjoy how laid back he is. I own Blonde Amber from Clive Christian based off YouTube video reviews and enjoy it but I really would like to add Narcotic Delight to have for this time of year.

  • Anita Walker says:

Steven is my favorite fragrance reviewer and I could listen to him for hours. I trust what he says about each fragrance and have loved each one I tried that he suggested. My favorite part of the video was when he said that The House of Oud Guilty Crush was love at first sniff. LOVE AT FIRST SNIFF!!! Pass it to me now! Guilty Crush is my choice although I would love to try Narcotic Delight as soon as possible.

  • MysticalArugula says:

I love Steven’s reviews. He goes in depth much more than anyone else, displays the actual bottle, and compares it to other fragrances. Those notes on narcotic delight sound perfect for winter. I live in the USA, and I love hedione in fragrances!

  • scenchanting says:

I love the name Narcotic Delight and it’s so fitting with the notes. The description of the notes of cognac, vanilla, pink pepper, and cherry that made me want to try Narcotic Delight more. I hope the get the chance to win this one! From USA.

  • The 3 video choices are worth looking into. For the draw I’ll choose Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight. US

  • Never tried either house, but description of Narcotic Delight has me sold. The note profile on this one matches my preference and it will be perfect for the current weather here in MT.

  • The House of Oud’s bottles are truly incredible, and Steven’s description of Guilty Crush’s juice sounds equally artistic. The blend of fresh and sensual elements sounds perfect for any occasion. Also, the hedione intrigued me in Narcotic Delight. My choice of fragrance- Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight (USA)

  • I like the mix of cognac, pink pepper and cigar smoke in Narcotic Delight. Now it’s definitely on my wishlist. Thanks for another awesome draw. USA

  • scentense95 says:

Fascinating how Steven compared these fragrances while maintaining their individual character. The hedione in Narcotic Delight sounds incredible, I love learning about ingredients that can affect mood and emotion. Definitely my pick for the draw. USA here!

  • nanadourado says:

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I’m very happy to have access to more information about the world of perfumery. I haven’t had the chance to smell the products from THOO and Clive Christian yet. As for Initio, I already have several favorites, but I haven’t smelled Narcotic Delight. Since I like to be surprised, I’ll choose Guilty Crush by THOO! Good luck to everyone in the giveaway!

  • I am new to the fragrance world, but review like Steven have helped tremendously! I have Side effects and Musk Therapy from the house already, they were pretty safe blind buys, but I am really intrigued with Narcotic Delight, I’d love to win this giveaway.
    Blessings!

  • A perfect winter date night wear in my opinion. Thankyou for the amazing opportunity. A classy gourmand which doesnt overpower itself or gets cloying at any point of time despite its sweetness. I’d love to own Narcotic delight for myself someday.
    (NY, USA)

  • Narcotic Delight would be my scent of the day when its all snowed up, and I’m already imagining all the special occassions when I would wear this.Definitely going to cherish this lovely juice.
Also thanks for the informative review on all the 3 fragrances
    Cheers,USA

  • whispering moonlight says:

The House of Oud Guilty Crush sounds like such a unique creation, and Steven’s explanation of how the champagne accord creates that celebratory feeling while maintaining sophistication is just sooooo good. His description of the lipstick accord is really interesting.
Clive Christian Contemporary has been my all time fav and its the aromatic fougere that smells expensive and performs really well on me.
For the drawing, my choice of bottle would be Narcotic Delight.
    I am in the US.
    Thankyou

  • Well Steven definitely made them all sound wonderful!! I have never tried anything from the house of oud and I love a lipstick accord so I will be choosing that one if I am so lucky to win the generous giveaway. I am in the U.S.

  • Tobacco, Vanilla are such nice note, which I personally love in all my winter frag’s. Love Steven’s video as usual ..to the point and direct. Worth every penny in my opinion. Narcotic Delight is one of my favorites and would love to win it.

  • Amazing review, Narcotic Delight looks awesome, I am sure whosoever will get a whiff of it will always compliment me. The richness and sweetness of the fragrance sounds great, really can’t wait to try it myself. Good luck.

  • I was immediately intrigued by the mention of Cognac note in narcotic delight , as I have a weakness for fragrances with a boozy twist. I really enjoy Side Effect and I am the proud owner of Blessed and Absolute aphrodisiac. Steven’s work on this video was truly exceptional with all the recommendations top notch. I would love to win the same.
    USA

  • From the review, I felt all the fragrances which are mentioned are crowd pleaser for sure. Especially champagne accord in guilty crush and Delicate cherry with vanilla and tobacco in Narcoti Delight, it all intrigues me. Initio parfums prives is one of my favorite houses, I own a number of their compositions. Narcotic Delight seems like a versatile fragrance with a balance between sweetness and warmth, so definitely my top choice.

  • Madden Sinead says:

All the mentions are pretty cozy scents, perfect for winter weather. Been needing my fall/winter signature and narcotic delight sounds amazing.Great read. I live in the US.Thanks for offering a giveaway.

  • I would love to try all of these fragrances featured in the video and I would love to win the Narcotic Delight!

  • Narcotic Delight sounds like a warm cozy blanket. The Cherry, Hedione,Tobacco,Vanilla notes are calling my name. Thanks for another awesome article and draw. USA

  • Steven is one of the very few video bloggers I enjoy these days. He is knowledgeable and he says what he needs to say, without the blah blah blah so many of them use as filler. Both of these fragrances in the draw sound great, but I loved how Steven said that the House of Oud Guilty Pleasure was “celebratory”. With the champagne fizz and lipstick notes, it just sounds so pretty. I love me a formal perfume that puts me in the mood to be happy and have fun, and this one sounds perfect. Thank you for the review and the draw. I’m in USA.

  • AromaDulce73 says:

I will go with Initio Parfums Privés Narcotic Delight. I’m on this cherry note kick and when you add tobacco to that, I’m all in.

Looks like Steven saved the best for last in his video. He talks about that Hedione molecule which is interesting. I’m all about Boozy & Spicey so this sounds right up my alley.

    Los Angeles Ca. USA

  • I cast my vote for celebration, hence The House of Oud Crazy Crush. Steven is filled with love in this video and I hope all his dreams come true. I chose Crazy Crush because sometimes the ultra sweet frags make me what to punch walls. And the bottle is to die for. I love and live in NY.

  • The House of Oud’s bottles are masterpieces themselves, and Steven’s poetic description of Guilty Crush captures the artistry within. I love the scientific aspect of Narcotic Delight and the study they did with Hedione. I’ve been trying to smell more cherry fragrances lately and have enjoyed the few I have put my nose to so this one would be my choice.

  • My favorite part of Steven’s review sums up fragrances in general, and it’s when (to paraphrase) he says to forget about the notes and wear what makes you feel good! If that ain’t the solid fact behind wearing any fragrance! 🙂 Also loved his genuine reaction to Narcotic Delight-you can tell that one resonates for him. Of the two, Narcotic Delight is one I’d LOVE to have. Side Effect is nice but this seems to have a more sensual vibe due to the hedoine. Cheers from Ohio! 🙂

  • Good selections as always Steven! I would choose Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight. In the cold, dreary month of January, I would like a big dose of Hedione to make me feel happy. The fruit, florals and pepper give it a zing. MD, USA.

  • I thought it was an informative video, I enjoy looking at your content because I can tell you really enjoy doing it. I got the pleasure of smelling Narcotic Delight once and it beats side effect, in my opinion its my favourite from the initio line. Would love to win it.

  • I am very intrigued with Guilty Crush being Steve’s love at first sniff. Plus can we take a moment to talk about the bottle, talk about UNIQUE. I don’t own anything from THOO but hope to get my nose on this house in the future…I am located in CALIFORNIA, USA.

P.S: wanted to make a final comment to mention how well-meaning and caring Steve comes across by finishing off his video with wishing all of his followers the best for 2025, so sweet and thoughtful…may we all have an amazing year.

  • The description of Narcotic Delight really captures what makes it special. I can imagine how the cherry note must be interacting with cognac and tobacco to create something so good. The way Steven described the hedione component while relating it to the overall mood shows why this would be perfect for 2025. That’s my choice! I am in USA.

  • Lophoflora336 says:

Thanks for giving the opportunity. What excites me about the Narcotic Delight is how nicely they seem to have blended all the notes without any of them overpowering others.
I am in love with their Side effect as well, this one is another gem for sure.
    USA

  • The way Steven described Guilty Crush’s evolution from fizzy champagne to smooth vanilla and clean musk sounds incredible. Love how he emphasized its versatility for special occasions.
Also, loved the mood changing property of hedione in narcotic delight which has made me interested in it, so I would choose Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight.

  • Initio Parfums Prives is my fav house when it comes to gourmands and yet again I am sure Narcotic delight has been surely done well. Definitely a winter gem. I live in the USA.

  • Fragrance collector says:

The use of hedione and vanilla in narcotic delight sounds incredible for a warm fragrance. I’m intrigued by the combination of tobacco and vanilla with the cherry sweetness. Been a fan of Inition parfums for a while now and am always excited about their quality! US

  • Love how Steven detailed Guilty Crush’s balance, the iris and lipstick accord with champagne creating that celebratory feel. His personal experience wearing it to nice events really sells it to me. However, I would absolutely love to win Initio’s Narcotic Delight since I have not tried it yet.

  • I have had my eye on The House of Oud mainly because the bottle is beautiful. Looks like a great and unique scent that I would love to have one day!

    Cheers!

I have put my nose on everything that Initio has. Great house! I remember vividly when I first came across it in AZ. But House of Oud I have not put my nose on yet. Beautiful bottle!

  • fragtrail909 says:

Contemporary’s fresh and versatile nature sounds perfect, but Narcotic Delight’s unique blend of cherry and hedione has really caught my attention. That’s my pick.

  • All semm to be high quality well blended fragrances. Thanks for the enchanting descriptions. I am really excited to try the narcotic delight and I think its going to last almost all day on my skin given the note compostion and the weather. Loved the video too. Thanks.

Bottle of choice if I win: Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight
    (USA)
Clive Christian blackberry and black pepper combination sounds intriguing along with its cedar and nutmeg heart notes. I will definitely give it a try if I am able to get my hands on it. Out of all 3, this particular one stood apart for me.

  • This short reviews and Steven video are very informative.
    Both sounds amazing!
Crazy Crush is beautiful with its blackberry note with moss and cedar,
but I like Narcotic Delight review and ingredients more !
I would like to win Narcotic Delight.

Stevens description of Guilty Crush by THOO speaks to my senses. The notes of strawberry and champagne is beautiful as is the bottle. I don’t own any Initio or Clive Christian but each fragrance sounds very appealing and I would love to try them all. Thank you for your review.

  • Interesting list and video—all with gourmand elements, but in very different styles. I agree with Steven about ignoring trends and just wearing what you like, especially since notes lists rarely give me a concrete sense of what it will smell like, or if I’ll enjoy wearing it regularly. Steven’s observations about the materials and the nostalgic green-citrus style Clive Christian Contemporary is immediately appealing, but Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight is an interesting profile for Hedione. That combination of “viscous sweetness” and boozy notes sounds heady.

I’m in the USA. If I were to win, I’d choose Initio Parfums Privés Narcotic Delight. Thanks!

  • Steven’s video highlights three masterpieces: The House of Oud Guilty Crush, a refined yet versatile scent; Clive Christian Contemporary, a fresh, nostalgic fragrance with malt and moss notes; and Initio Parfums Privés Narcotic Delight, a bold, mood-lifting perfume perfect for standing out. His passion suggests he owns or eagerly wants these in his collection. I’m especially drawn to Narcotic Delight—it sounds unforgettable. Greetings from NY!

  • Very insightful as always, i can always learn something from your videos. Would definitely like to win Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight because I’ve heard such good things about side effect.

  • I liked how Steven showcased the fragrance with great clarity and detail. I’m a huge fan of Initio perfumes! I’ve already bought Oud for Greatness, and it’s absolutely incredible. Winning a bottle of Narcotic Delight fragrance would be amazing!

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight it is a feminine paerfume witha perfect cherry sweet blob with a dash of florals. It is perfect for all time of the year! I am from EU

  • I agree with Steven that many of us wear fragrances to lift our spirits. Fragrance is definitely one of the comforts in my life. Guilty Crush sounds amazing with its notes of champagne and lipstick. I love makeup and lipstick fragrances, so I am sure I will love this one. Contemporary also sounds pretty with the blackberry, violet, nutmeg, and malt. It does sound like an easy reach. And I love finding nostalgic fragrances! I will definitely test this one this year. Narcotic Delight sounds similar to Side Effect but with added cherry. I am sure it’s very warm and comforting, which is perfect for this time of year.

I would love to win a bottle of The House of Oud Crazy Crush.

Thank you, Steven, for the reviews, and thank you to Fine Fragrances and Kintessence for the giveaways! I am located in the USA.

  • 2024 was such a busy year , let’s see what are the first 3 2025 recommendations by Michelyn Camen and Steven.
House of Oud Guilty Crush , unique offering with lipstick iris accord , champagne , so fresh and sensual.
Clive Christian Contemporary , fresh and easy to wear quality ingredients fragrances with nostalgic appeal.
    Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight
It could be the hedione, or the quality ingredients, or maybe the perfumers ,but as a vain man i can say one thing for certain, Initio Parfums Prives fragrances are highly seductive and appreciated by the ladies, clubs , concerts, dates they just work. The vanilla , peppery and ambery aspects of Narcotic Delight are all so appealing to me,and the cherry will give the fragrance the modern feel i’m looking for, making it more enigmatic.
I’d prefer Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight
    Exciting giveaway, USA

I completely agree with Steven that perfume is personal and we should wear what makes us feel good, not just following trends. I enjoyed hearing about all of Steven’s choices, but Narcotic Delight appeals to me the most because of the delicious cherry note,. It truly sounds irresistible. I think I need all the Hedione I can get. Thank you for your beautiful New Year wish! The same to you!
    I live in the USA.

  • I love how the Initio is made out to be a winter scent, when I wear a dupe of it in the summer 😀

I would love to win the real thing! Best,

    Boston/USA, Ottawa/ON

  • Nice article, kudos to Michelyn and Steven . I know the three fragrances , and as usual I’ll share I’ll share my thoughts , and compare them with what Steven is getting.
Guilty Crush by The House of Oud, composed by Christian Calabro is a powdery iris i like. Like Steven said there’s not a lot of vanilla in it , but other than the iris and the champagne also get peppery rose and fruity undertones.
Contemporary by Clive Christian, composed by Angela Stavrevska is a throwback to the 90s aromatic fougere , with a blast of violet in the opening. Personally I don’t get the Costa Azzura comparison.
Narcotic Delight by Initio Parfums Prives tantalizes the senses , it’s boozy , smoky and seductive , with well blended spicy and fruity undertones. I can see the parallel Steven made with Side Effect , but I wouldn’t say one is better than the other. If I have to make such parallel of my own i’d say Narcotic Delight to me smells like a love child of Side Effect and Paragon. It’s boozy tobacco , rich and full fragrance , with well blended spicy and fruity undertones. To me the fruity nuances are definitely not in the background , at least on my skin, but on the front row , easily detectable from the first spray until the shower time. The reason I said fruity and not cherries is that I smell mostly plum and not sorely cherries, one of the reasons Narcotic
Narcotic Delight I’d like to win
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg

  • Steven did a great job showing off the fragrance with so much clarity (as usual). I’ve looked at many reviews of Initio perfumes but have yet to putchase one. Winning a bottle of Narcotic Delight would be such a treat!

  • Wow, you could feel Stephen’s passion when was talking about how personal perfume is and that we should wear what lifts our spirits. That really resonated with me and it was so nice to hear. We shouldn’t question ourselves when we like (or don’t like) a scent just because of the mass opinion online about it.

All three fragrances sound beautiful, but Narcotic Delight stands out to me. Admittedly, yes because of the cherry note. I adore cherry and I’ll never stop living for all the cherry launches and Narcotic Delight sounds like a must have!

    Happy New Year from Arizona!

  • Summer is long gone, but with The House of Oud Guilty Crush Steven instantly transported me some tropical destruction. Champagne, iris , lipstick and a little bit of vanilla? I almost visualized laying on the beach with a glass of Dom Perignon Vintage 2006 in my hand.
I’m not well familiar with Clive Christian fragrances other than Town & Country, one of my dad’s favorites . Contemporary feels nostalgic to Steven, well made and versatile.
To be honest I’m a bit unsure about hedione stimulating effects on my brain , Steven review on the other hand moved me , and now I feel uber enthusiastic about Initio Narcotic Delight. Very much addictive, gently spicy ,very boozy , cherry fruity and sexy vanilla. I imagined a splendid aroma , and a future hit in the fragrance community.
Rehab was my scent of the day, I also love Side Effect and Blessed Baraka and I’d like to win Narcotic Delight.
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • All of Steven’s videos are fantastic. He is my go to for all things fragrance. I would faint if I won either. Would love to try Intitio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight. Thanks for the chance.

  • How fun! I liked Steven’s discussion of the role nostalgia plays in how we respond to perfumes, which I find to be so true. I am most curious to try Narcotic Delight. I liked the description of it as sweet and boozy, and am super curious about the hedione. Thanks and hello from CO, USA!

Like in fashion and in life some trends come and go, others are here to stay. Powdery fruity florals like The House of Oud Guilty Crush , woody aromatics like Clive Christian Contemporary and sweet boozy cherry pipe tobacco like Initio Parfums Prives are here to stay.
I love sophisticated iris and boozy fragrances and with Guilty Crush i can have both.
Contemporary is a versatile all year round fragrance that is similar , especially in the drydown to another Clive Christian fragrance called Rock Rose . Both are classy and sharp but Rock Rose is already in my possession .
Initio Parfums Prives Narcotic Delight is right up my alley fragrance, not overly aggressive, sexy , woody, slightly sweet and boozy, with really round up characteristics. The ambery, spicy and boozy feel in I find attractive, the hedione, cherry and Side Effect parallel adds even more to the picture.
    Narcotic Delight would be great

  • Steven once again showcased the fragrance with remarkable clarity and expertise. Although I’ve I’ve read numerous reviews of Initio perfumes, I haven’t taken the plunge to purchase one yet. Owning a bottle of Narcotic Delight would truly be a wonderful experience!

  • Such a pleasure to read and watch 🙂
If I have to summarize the amount of pleasing to the eyes, and mind fragrance information I’ll start with the sensual iris , lipstick and champagne accords in The House of Oud Guilty Crush, then the nostalgic and memorable experiences Steven has experienced with Clive Christian Contemporary and then the alluring potion called Narcotic Delight.
I own Oud for Greatness , and I’m sure I’d enjoy Narcotic Delight too . I feel the first is formal occasions only fragrance , the way i wear it at least , but Narcotic Delight relative is very much sexy fragrance made for playful nights scent, rococo bouquet of tobacco, hedione , cognac , cherries and vanilla.
Posh seductive fragrance like Narcotic Delight I’d absolutely love to win
    Thanks for the draw
