The Gydja collection is a luxury fashion brand that is the brainchild of entrepreneur and designer Sigrun Lilja Gudjonsdottir. The perfume line consists of two scents named for Icelandic glaciers: Eyjafjallajokull (EFJ), which was released first and marketed to women; and Vatnajokull (VJK), marketed to men. They are airy and light, both being made with pure glacial water.
Certainly, the physical grace and nuanced performances of Berenice Bejo and Jean Dujardin made it easy to imagine a signature fragrance for their characters. As Peppy and George moved across the screen effortlessly, I felt as if I could almost smell their sillage.

Then there are the very few fragrances out there that try to do the opposite. They try to challenge our feelings about what fragrance should be. They also tend to make you work a bit to find your smile while wearing it. The latest release from Amouage, Library Collection Opus VI, is one of these.
