New Niche Fragrance Review: Parfums de Marly Meliora and Safanad -Taming a Wild Note + Shagya Full Bottle Draw

Parfums de Marly is inspired by the sculpted horses of eighteenth century sculptor Guillaume Coustou called “Les Chevaux de Marly”. Each sculpture shows a groom taming a rearing horse and I realized that Parfums de Marly, under the creative direction of Julien Sprecher, had assembled a number of the best perfumers to act as tamers of some of the most difficult to corral notes in perfumery.

New Niche Fragrance Review: Mikmoi – A Perfect Scent Launch + Furoshiki Sample Set Draw

San Francisco recently hosted our second Salon, and I found some new talent, including Mik, the San Francisco-based perfumer for a new line called MIKMOI. Mik launched his line the day of the Salon, and it was the kind of launch I really appreciate; his Asian-influenced design aesthetics were cohesive and I have to say the perfumes, Ao, Itoh, Aldwych, and Vesper, are delightful.
