June 5, 1981: The Day The First Aids Victim Was Diagnosed “For Those Who Live and Died of H.I.V”

One of the highlights of the Fragrance Foundation Awards was when Elizabeth Taylor was inducted into the Fragrance Hall of Fame and the Fragrance Celebrity of the Year was re-named to The Elizabeth Taylor Fragrance Celebrity of the Year. Aids is a disease of such staggering numbers and tragic devastation; for the baby boom generation and those who came after 1981, it is has changed our entire way of existing. We have watched helplessly as many friends, family members, art, fashion and other cultural wasted away before us.

An “Allergic Reaction” to Perfumes for Babies

There is nothing in the world that smells as beautiful as a baby, (after changing) although I am childless, I try to sneak a sniff of every family and friend’s infant or toddler by kissing their head, just for the odor. It is the one aroma that I wish a perfumer can capture, but I don’t believe they can, nor ever will.
