Late last year there was a rumor that she would be releasing a new IUNX fragrance. At the end of March 2013 this rumor turned out to be true as L’Arbre was released. L’Arbre is exactly what I hoped for as Mme Giacobetti turns sandalwood into something diaphanous but so full of structure it is endlessly fascinating.
The de-facto in-house perfumer for Robert Piguet, Aurelien Guichard, is expanding the idea of Robert Piguet as a perfume predominantly for the ladies. Under the creative direction of Joe Garces, Robert Piguet has added another more woody than floral fragrance with the new release Bois Bleu.
Calice Becker has managed to bring to life the Chinese myth of “The Fountain and the Peach Blossom Spring” by swirling together the notes gently and creating something as intriguing as it is uncomplicated in the new By Kilian Asian Tales, Flower of Immortality.
Bruno Fazzolari created several of his scents to be used in conjunction with his art exhibitions. Eventually, he took the plunge and launched a line of these perfumes, which are Monserrat, Lampblack, and Five, adding additional scents inspired by other forms of art, Jimmy and Au Delà.

Parfums de Marly is inspired by the sculpted horses of eighteenth century sculptor Guillaume Coustou called “Les Chevaux de Marly”. Each sculpture shows a groom taming a rearing horse and I realized that Parfums de Marly, under the creative direction of Julien Sprecher, had assembled a number of the best perfumers to act as tamers of some of the most difficult to corral notes in perfumery.
