Gérald Ghislain debuts three new fragrances in the Edition Rare Collection of Histoires de Parfums (following Petroleum, Ambrarem & Rosam-2011) , Veni, Vidi, Vici (I came, I saw, I conquered). The collection is inspired by the famous phrase Julius Caesar proclaimed during an epic battle.
The perfumer Juliet Stewart works with on her Juliet fragrances Lorenzo Dante Ferro enjoyed taking what is a modern floriental Eau de Parfum which is more floral than oriental and switching it up for the Juliet Extrait making it more oriental than floral.
Comme des Garcons 2 Man was my first lesson that the boundaries which framed a perfumer’s ingredient choices were truly unlimited because the truly innovative, like Mark Buxton, will find ways to make the unloved, lovely.
