I chose to study architecture and specialize in historic preservation. However, my attraction to perfume has always existed and I have always been very connected to my sense of smell, associating smells to places and people. Olfaction is my most acute sense.
I love how perfume can make people feel. I love to see how people can react to it and what they have to say about it. I love that this is such an individual experience and can never perceived by two people in just the same way
A couple of weeks ago I was poking around downtown looking for something new to try and the latest summer releases from Thierry Mugler, Angel Aqua Chic and Alien Aqua Chic, caught my eye. I gave each a cursory whiff on paper and asked for samples to bring home. I knew right away that these would be worth writing about.
I think the best series of flankers going has been the Thierry Mugler A*Men Pure series. Starting in 2008 with A*Men Pure Coffee it was followed by Pure Malt and Pure Havane. The fourth entry is out and it is called A*Men Pure Shot and the name and the A*Men base is where the similarity ends.
1999’s Chanel Allure Homme is still one of my favorite men’s mainstream fragrances. I was split on the two subsequent flankers Allure Homme Sport and Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Now the third flanker is here which seems to be a flanker of a flanker; Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme.
This is going to be a very exciting year. I came through the past few years of global financial crisis very well and am now again ready to begin some new things.
