When I received the press release that Ineke Ruhland of Ineke Perfumer would be the next co-production, with Anthropologie, I smiled quite widely.Being a gentlemen, I asked Ida Meister to pick her two. That left me Angel’s Trumpet and Scarlet Larkspur My inner Gollum muttering contentedly muttered “my precioussss.”
When Anthropologie and Ineke Rűhland join forces, quality is a given. Anthropologie has shown itself to be innovative in the choices of fragrance which grace their artful boutiques- brick-and-mortar, and also on-line. Ineke has created four beautiful new fragrances- not a single “meh” among them.
As a nod to beautiful ambery fougere fragrances of jive (think Jicky) I added a real amber base which I tainted a bit with opoponax. The result as you can tell is deeper, more sensuous, very skin friendly and extremely long lasting. Roja in particular was delighted about this amber addition.
Celine Verleure brought together three perfumers and three photographers along with an Internet community to create the three fragrances in the Olfactive Studio’s portfolio;.despite my skepticism about a process that had so much input it seems like in the end three very good fragrances were produced and I have enjoyed wearing all three of them
This collection started out as one Solifleur and turned into a whole garden! It was a HUGE project for me, really my own private “Opus” inside of Opus Oils
Keiko’s goal was to transport us to two very different climes:The Japan of the delicate, velvety camellia, and the Goa of our sun-drenched dreams
They reveal themselves very differently, but there is no doubt in my mind that a great deal of care, consideration, and tenderness went into their conception.
