Sweet Perfumes for Halloween + 3 You Should Be Wearing Giveaway

Sweet Perfumes for Halloween

Sweet Perfumes for Halloween Image by Steven

Halloween is only a week away (October 31st) and we chose three sweet perfumes that remind us of candy or rich, delicious desserts. Because what’s Halloween without olfactive treats?

Steven Gavrielatos of Redolessence and Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief of ÇaFleureBon co-curated the sweet perfumes edition. (Be sure to check out Part 1 here on Spooky Fragrances).

Prada Candy (Daniela Andrier) 2011: Is there a better name for a Halloween perfume than “candy”? Prada Candy made our sweet perfumes for Halloween list, because it is pure scented pleasure.  Michelyn bought her first bottle in late 2011 and it smells as scrumptious as it did 13 years ago (there are quite a few niche perfumes that have been influenced or copied, not naming names) by this great iconic perfume that has an overdose of benzoin and with notes of vanilla, musk, honey and caramel. –Michelyn

Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud (Roja Dove) 2015: On October 22, 2018, I met Roja Dove at Bergdorf Goodman. After our discussion, I browsed the counter and noticed Sweetie Aoud. When I sprayed on Roja Dove’s twist on an oud gourmand perfume with its macaron accord and delicious buttery tone, I wanted to lick my wrist. –Michelyn

Parfums de Marly Oriana (Nathalie Lorson and Hamid Merati-Kashan) 2021: If you think sweet perfumes are for teens, you need to try sophisticated Oriana. This will be my fragrance for Halloween. Chantilly cream, which at the time of its 2021 release, according to Master Perfumer Nathalie Lorson, was combined with marshmallow for the first time. The Whipped Chantilly cream and marshmallow set off  the finest quality orange blossom. The soft musk and ambrette at the base give Oriana power and longevity. If you love sweet perfumes that are grown-up and sensuous,  Oriana is for you. –Michelyn

Disclaimer: Some bottles were given to Steven and some from his own collection. Michelyn has a sample of Sweetie Aoud and her original bottle of Prada Candy.

  • Michelyn is right: Prada Candy would be the quintessential Halloween scent in name alone, it’s sweet and alluring and Oriana has that refined yet sweet and sophisticated air to it. I definitely agree with Steve that Prada Candy was a steppingstone for perfumes that followed with its scent profile and that Oriana has been a major deviation for Parfums de Marly with its note and sweetness Profile. Roja’s Sweetie Aoud also has that creamy sweetness they both loved, but macaroon is not my favorite.

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Oh my goodness. Each of these gourmands sound like a wonderful treat…especially for Halloween. The buttery macaroon accord in Roja’s Sweetie Aoud, the sugary caramel vibe in Prada Candy, and the marshmallowy goodness of PDM’s Orianna each are calling my name repeatedly. So Scrumptious!

  • Ramses Perez says:

I absolutely love sweet perfumes and gourmands are my favorite category. Prada Candy I was familiar with and that’s been around for a while but didn’t know this was a deviation for the Prada line at the time of its release. I own Roja’s Sweetie Aoud and each time I wear it, I too want to lick my wrist or wherever I put it on, a truly realistic macaroon fragrance, a revolutionary release ahead of its time. Oriana has now become an iconic Marly fragrance and that hot pink bottle tells you everything you need to know about it: marshmallow, sweet, candied and creamy. I have sampled Oriana before and truly like Steven mentioned, it is nuclear. I follow @cafleurebonofficial on IG and my username is Ramses.d.perez. I’m located in the USA.

  • I agree with Michelyn on the Roja, it is one of the most buttery scents I have ever tried.. It is very very creamy. I also found Steven’s comment on Oriana’s sweetness being beyond the sweetness of any other female PDM fragrance to be very interesting, given that I have never tired female PDMs!

    Cheers from Boston, USA

  • Jasmina Estrada says:

Great picks and wonderful article/video. Steven hit it right on the head for me, Infusion D’Iris is my go to clean, soapy scent. However Prada Candy is a 180, it gets very caramel-ly and powdery/musky (as Michelyn mentioned) so I can see it working in fall. The buttery notes Michelyn described in Sweetie Aoud sounds like it would make a good cozy/comfort scent when the weather cools down. The Orange Blossom and Mandarin of Oriana do scream spring/summer, her creaminess and amber notes Michelyn highlighted really do make her welcome for fall. Steven is right the fall cozy vibes really hit with Oriana.

  • I love how this Michelyn really made me appreciate how fragrances can be as fun and indulgent as candy. Prada Candy seems like a classic with its rich caramel and vanilla, but I’m curious about Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud because of its unique blend of oud and a macaron accord—sounds deliciously unexpected! Oriana feels like a sophisticated choice, balancing marshmallow and Chantilly cream with orange blossom (I already love this one but don’t own it). It’s exciting to see sweet scents elevated for adults, perfect for Halloween and beyond. And Steven is like our fragrance bff! I love the enthusiasm and sincerity behind his review. He definitely made me want to try the Roja fragrance with that macaron accord!!!

  • AromaDulce73 says:

Love all these “Sweet” fragrance treats. I’m a fan of Parfums de Marly and I’m interested in checking out Oriana. I have yet to smell a fragrance with a marshmallow accord. Steven also mentioned there’s caramel in this so I’m super interested, I’m a gourmand fan.

  • OMG!! These smell so good. I just went to the mall and smelled all three. As a man I love all fragrances no matter if it’s more feminine leaning. I wear it confidently.

  • Brendan Thompson says:

I would be so excited to try another PDM after falling in love with Althair my new goal is to try them all! Thanks so much keep up the great work.

  • I’ve been wanting to try Sweetie Aoud for the longest. When I heard that it was comparable to a French patisserie, I knew I had to get my nose on it. Thinking back, my first sweet perfume for Halloween was Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male. I still remember the long lasting bubble gum sweetness that cut through the Autumn air

  • Another great review from Redolessence! As I mentioned before, I always watch his videos before I commit to a full bottle of perfume because he always gets to the point and provides a very accurate, detailed description. I heard that Marly Oriana has a fragrance similar to don’t be shy by Kilian, and I absolutely loved it. I wear that cologne to the office, even though I’m a man; for me, fragrances do not have a gender. Based on the review that it blends whipped Chantilly cream with marshmallow, and orange blossom, I can’t imagine how this would smell specialy with the base of musk and ambrette. I absolutely love sweet fragrances. I would love to try this one. Hope I win the giveaway! I live in the USA

  • Oriana may be my wife’s favorite PDM scent.
Would love to win this one for her.
    Thanks for the giveaways.
Have not smelled the Prada, but the Roja is amazing.

  • Roja Parfume Sweetie Aoud is a dream. I can’t afford it so far, but will definitely have it one day.

  • I don’t normally like sweet perfumes as my skin amps sweet, but there have been some fabulous exceptions and I have to say Oriana sounds like it might be one of them. Though I will be looking for a sample of Sweetie Aoud for sure after the remark about wanting to lick your wrist! As for Steven’s remarks, warm cozy Oriana sounds like what I need for fall! I also didn’t know one of the co-creators did Encre Noir, which I love, so that is a positive note! I live in the US.

  • Eris.can.swatch.kaos says:

I love these three sweet selections for Halloween. So often we see spooky, gothic fragrances on a list for the season, so this is a real treat! My fave of the three has to be Prada Candy, however it is solely based on not owning either of the other two. I would love to get my hands on Oriana by PDM, thank you for the opportunity. I need to look at what I have at home in my collection to wear that is sweet like a tasty treat. Steven’s recollections about the when and where in regards to his collection is always fascinating. I love learning all the details. I am a follower on ig, I am eris.can.swatch.kaos there. I am also a Redolessence subscriber. I live in Oregon.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Michelyn makes these all sound fun and appropriate for Halloween being buttery and gourmand. Steven’s reviews are always so impressive and he makes them sound fun for the spooky season I’d love to win and live in Indiana.

  • Gladys Rivera says:

Sweet Chantilly kissing the marshmallow under the blossomed orange tree, we need you in our collection, be my trick or treat!

  • @iliveilearniluv says:

I love how Michelyn highlighted the playful side of these sweet fragrances, especially Prada Candy with its caramel-vanilla goodness. Sweetie Aoud sounds so intriguing—I’ve never thought of a macaron and oud combo, but now I’m dying to smell it. Oriana is also right up my alley, balancing creamy sweetness with florals. Steven’s excitement really comes through in his review, and I feel like he’s convincing me to give the Roja fragrance a try. These scents are perfect for celebrating Halloween in a grown-up, indulgent way!

  • Thank you for the review. I haven’t thought about Prada Candy in some time but as I recall I liked its carmel sweetness. I’ve never tried Sweetie Oud but now I’m craving a bottle after hearing Steve’s description. Oriana sounds lovely with the orange blossum and marshmellow that Michelyn mentioned. One of my favorite sweet perfumes for the fall is Lancome’s Tubereuses Castane. USA

  • Great selections for Halloween! They are sweet without being cloying with a sophisticated palette. Roja is buttery and creamy. Prada has the gooey vanilla musk. Oriana is all sweet marshmallow, cream and orange. As Steven mentioned it gives the cozy fall vibes. MD, USA.

  • I enjoyed both reviews of sweet olfactory treats. I’m intrigued by Roja Parfums Sweety Aoud with it macroon accord and delicious lickable buttery tone. Oriana sounds delightful with whupped chantilly cream, marshmallows and orange blooms. Oriana seems like a winner with it being sweet, warm, cozy and sensuous with a nuclear performance.

  • Thank you Michelyn and Steve for the reviews. Of the 3 mentioned, I’ve only smelt Prada Candy and so glad to see it on the list as I fell in love with it on first sniff. I’ve also been dreaming of smelling Sweetie Aoud but that’s another one on my long list 🙂 I now have Oriana in my list due to this review and the collaboration of the two great perfumers. I’m in TX

  • With the huge amount of sweet fragrances nowadays (especially cheaper cloying sweet scents), I thought I wasn’t a fan of sweet scents. But then I smelled a sample of PdM Oriana and some of Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s sweeter offerings, and realized that I do love these scents when done right! The combination of marshmallow, orange blossom, and Chantilly cream sounds absolutely delightful. Orange blossom and marshmallow is a winning combination, I’m a big fan of those notes in Love Don’t Be Shy by Killian.
I love the focus on sweeter and candy accords for Halloween, I think it captures the spirit in a more youthful sense. Steven and Michelyn’s description of Sweetie Aoud by Roja Parfums make me want to sample it as soon as I can!

    Cheers from CA, USA

  • I normally don’t go for really sweet perfumes, but these all seem like great selections. I’m intrigued by the Roja’s combination of oud and an gourmand elements; the oud perfumes I’ve really enjoyed in the past were similarly rich and sweet, though the “buttery tone” Michelyn mentioned is a wild card. Steven described Sweetie Aoud as dressed up, with its unusual fantasy accord, but also highlighted the longevity. I also appreciated his comparison of Oriana to the rest of the Parfums de Marly lineup.

I’m in the USA. I follow ÇaFleureBon as @mmerline.

  • The journey from Prada Candy to Oriana represents a fascinating evolution in gourmand perfumery – while Candy pioneered the caramel-benzoin combination, Oriana elevated it further with notes like marshmallow, showing how the genre matured over a decade. Really fascinating read! USA

  • fragrant_attention says:

Steven’s reviews are always honest and descriptive! It gives me a sense of what to expect before I am able to get my nose on the fragrance he’s reviewing. From this article, I got to know that Oriana is inspired by chantilly cream, for the first time combined with marshmallow. I had no clue what chantilly cream was, but after looking it up, I think I will want to eat this perfume! I am a big fan of sweet perfumes.

  • Citrus Paradise says:

Steven and Michelyn’s choice of Prada Candy as a Halloween scent is inspired, especially considering its name alone evokes thoughts of Halloween treats. The fragrance’s caramel, vanilla, and musk notes bring a warm and inviting sweetness. I have tried Oriana before and loved it.
I live in the mainlaind USA.

  • Odor Aeternitatis says:

Steven describes fragrances in a very detailed way to the point that I can usually say “yay” or “nay” by the end of the video. In terms of the perfumers, I love the idea behind oriana, also there is a level of maturity and elegance to it versus being a cloying fragrance which I love.

  • The description of Roja’s Sweetie Aoud, with its creamy, buttery undertones and macaron accord, makes it sound like a delightful, edible experience. It feels like a perfectly cozy, comforting scent that would be right at home in the crisp fall air, and it brings something uniquely rich and luxurious to a Halloween-inspired fragrance lineup. Well done, both of you. US

  • I loooove a sugary gourmand scent, and likely always will! I like this perfume house – particularly the perfumes Cassili, Delina and Meliora – and I think Oriana will be another one I can add to my Parfums de Marly favorites list! Coming to the review, I think Steven’s recognition of Prada Candy as a trailblazer for sweet perfumes is spot on. When it was released, it really set a new standard for gourmand fragrances, blending candy-like sweetness with a sophistication that made it wearable for adults
Excited about this draw, for sure!

  • Michelyn’s fondness for Prada Candy after all these years is inspiring. The fact that she still finds it as delicious as when she first bought it in 2011 speaks volumes about its quality and charm.
    I’m located in the USA

  • Oriana, with its combination of marshmallow and Chantilly cream, seems to offer a grown-up twist on sweetness. Michelyn’s pick for Halloween is refreshing—Oriana isn’t just a sugary scent; it’s an intricate blend that balances creamy textures with sophisticated floral undertones. It sounds like a deliciously unexpected choice for Halloween night.

    USA

  • Steven’s reviews are always so informative and thorough. Chantilly cream in a fragrance sounds so yummy and I absolutely can’t wait to smell it and the way Michelyn describes the butteriness of Roja’s Sweetie Aoud makes it sound positively decadent. You can almost imagine the warmth and creaminess of each note.

  • Ooh nice selections. I have never tried anything from PdM strangely enough! Steven saying how cozy, autumnal and caramelly it is makes Oriana sound amazing plus I love Orange Blossom. The other two are just iconic. Thank you for the giveaway opportunity. I am located in the U.S.

  • Prada Candy perfect name love the caramel vibe ,makes me think of caramel apples on a stick that was a Halloween treat.Roja’s Sweetie Aoud the macaroon sounds delicious. Oriana sounds interesting the marshmallow. All 3 are perfect gourmand.Thank you for this chance USA

  • I love all 3 of these fragrances! What a great list! I never gave it any thought as to them being representative of Halloween but after reading this review and watching Steven’s video, I totally get it! They all invoke the sweetness of the candy collected from the neighbors mixed with the chilly air of Halloween day. Particularly Sweetie Aoud because of that macaroon note and the caramel note in Prada Candy. I’d never would have thought to add Oriana, but maybe it’s because I only smelled it once. This article brought up so many wonderful memories of my childhood trick-or-treating!
I live in the US. (and I follow on IG as @dianadevlin).

  • I do like sweet perfumes! I’m often seeking perfumes that are more creative, more headache-friendly versions of fun mainstream ones. Michelyn is spot-on about Prada Candy being perfect for Halloween. A lot of caramel notes turn funky on my skin, but Candy stays nice and cozy. I agree with Steven about it feeling like a departure from the rest of Prada’s line; I’ve always thought of it as belonging more with Miu Miu (one of my favorite high fashion lines). I am in USA and following @cafleurebonofficial on insta as @allewoodland.

  • whispering moonlight says:

Steven’s comment on Oriana’s sweetness exceeding that of other PDM fragrances is intriguing. This suggests that Oriana really pushes the boundaries of sweet perfumes, blending playfulness with intense, lasting notes.
    I live in the U.S

  • Oriana sounds like a sophisticated take on sweetness, especially with the marshmallow and Chantilly cream. Michelyn’s pick for Halloween is definitely unique, also the butteriness of Roja’s Sweetie Aoud is so well described by her—I can almost smell it through her words!
    US

  • Steven’s and Michelyn’s reviews were great and full of all the info that fragrance lovers want to hear. They are both so talented in their reviews and really make the listener want to sample whatever they are reviewing. The note breakdowns are clear and overall very trustworthy and sweet! Thanks for the draw and the opportunity.

  • Michelyn’s story about meeting Roja Dove and discovering Sweetie Aoud brings a personal, almost magical touch to her review. It’s as if she’s inviting us into that moment, sharing the thrill of finding a new favorite scent. Sweetie Aoud, with its unique macaron and buttery notes, seems like a fragrance with a story to tell. I am a sucker for gourmands. Hoping to win. CA, USA

  • My take away from this review and what I really loved is the balance between Prada Candy’s approachable, candy-like charm and Oriana’s sophisticated twist on sweetness which highlights the versatility of gourmand fragrances. I like sweet perfumes, and my current fav is Vanille havane les indemodables.

  • scentense95 says:

I like how steven used delicious adjectives to describe Oriana and his explanations of the nuances in the whipped cream and citrus accords really brought the scent to life even though I have never smelled it. It’s also interesting to know that this fragrance is suitable for men as well since he also wore it.

  • Fragrance collector says:

Roja’s Sweetie Aoud sounds absolutely mouthwatering from both Steven and Michelyn’s descriptions. A perfume that actually makes you want to “lick your wrist” is an olfactory delight, indeed!

  • ForTheLoveofFrag says:

I think Oriana’s marshmallow and Chantilly cream notes create a delectable base that makes it sound like a dream for sweet perfume lovers and I totally agree with Steven that prada candy was one of the major stepping stones in the sweet perfumes category.
    USA

  • Controlledbyscent31 says:

Sweetie Aoud’s buttery richness and macaron accord made it sound really luxurious. Michelyn’s description brought this scent to life. I love sweet fragrances and what better time of the year if not winters to spray them.

  • What really attracts my attention specifically towards Oriana perfume is the combination of Chantilly cream and marshmallow accords with raspberry. Gourmand perfumes are my favorite!
As to Steven’s review, I love how well structured his videos are. He explains the perfumes so well it is easy to imagine how they smell.
    Regards and cheers from NYC

  • Thebluelotus says:

That was a great review, a full description expressed with great passion. Oriana by itself seems to be amazing, Citrus, Chantilly, Marshmallow with a musky drydrown, it is a gourmand dream . Also, Prada Candy still holds its own in the fragrance world, and Steven’s appreciation for it shows how iconic it’s become.

  • Steven always delivers and brings his enthusiasm through. I would like to smell Sweetie Aoud , I’d like to even eat something like this. Beautifully written article. Kudos to both of you. US

  • Sweetie Aoud’s butteriness sounds inviting and complex. Michelyn’s description makes it sound ideal for a cozy, Halloween vibe. As far as Oriana is concerned, I have not tried the fragrance yet but would love to.

  • fragtrail909 says:

Steven’s reviews are honest and accurate. The notes are very beautiful more modern than the others. RASPBERRY and Cream. Thank you for this chance. USA

  • LavenderJuliette says:

Prada Candy is one of those rare scents that manages to be playful and sophisticated at the same time. Both Steven and Michelyn highlight how it embodies the spirit of Halloween with its candy-like charm and I really loved it.

  • I can’t wait to experience the Chantilly cream and marshmallow combined with orange blossom and raspberries, and the musk to give it depth, it sounds heavenly and sensuous like Michelyn wrote. CA, USA

  • The marshmallow, Chantilly cream notes really interested me. I’ve been looking for a perfume with these notes that isn’t Love by Killian. Steven’s explanation of the sweetness of this one with the citrus notes really sold me on Oriana! I also like his discussion of versatility as I was wondering if this one could be enjoyed throughout the cooler weather here in LA. Sounds like a gorgeous feminine scent that I could wear year round here. Thanks so much keep up the great work.

  • The richness of Sweetie Aoud’s buttery, creamy quality makes it sound like a truly memorable fragrance. The way the review describes it as something that feels cozy and indulgent, like a warm, luxurious blanket you want to wrap yourself in, it feels like it’s perfect for fall weather and Halloween, adding an extra layer of sensory comfort to the holiday and yes, I do love sweet perfumes!
    I live in the US.

  • Great review,

I’m from florida, what I enjoyed about Steven’s YouTube review is he not only mentions the notes of the fragrance but also mentions how these notes interact with the fragrance and what it can come across to ones nose. He not only tries to review the fragrance, but educate his viewers as well.
Steven’s thoughts on Oriana as a powerhouse fragrance show how it sets itself apart in PDM’s lineup with its vibrant sweetness.

  • David Furman says:

PDM sits at the upper echelon of niche fragrances in my opinion. Here with Oriana is no exception. I love scents built around the note of orange blossom so this is kinda up my alley. Hope it isnt too feminine but there is no such thing as gender in fragrance. From Jacksonville, NC.

  • I’ve got that song “I want Candy” in my brain after reading this. Prada Candy is a good choice. I was in San Francisco this weekend and was hoping to get my nose on Sweetie Aoud, but Neiman Marcus didn’t have it. My computer wouldn’t let me play Steven’s video about Oriana, something about proving I’m not a “bot”. I’m sure his description was thoughtful, thorough and mouthwatering. I love the image he did, multi talented. I like sweet perfumes, but I have been branching out to other things lately. From my collection I’d pick “Over the Chocolate Shop” for Halloween. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • shining stones says:

Thanks to Michelyn and Steven for the reviews, which are always really informative without a lot of extra filler. For Steven, I covet his fragrance collection! I don’t currently own any raspberry fragrances, I’m eager to get my nose on this one so I would LOVE to have the chance to win Oriana. I’m in USA.

  • The longevity and power of Oriana are something that truly stand out, especially with Michelyn highlighting its unique marshmallow and Chantilly cream blend. This fragrance manages to be both candy-like and mature which you dont often find with a lot of sweet fragrances.

  • All of these gourmands sound like an absolute treat especially Roja Sweetie Aoud, which seems like an incredible fusion of traditional and modern gourmand elements. Michelyn’s description of its buttery, macaron accord makes it sound so delicious, something I would want to wear on cold days.

  • I always enjoy Steven’s thorough reviews! I feel He is so well spoken and passionate about fragrance. I’m excited to be able to finally smell this fragrance. Mostly looking forward to the marshmallow and chantilly cream accords in Oriana.

  • Madden Sinead says:

I loved Michelyn’s description of Prada candy and its impact on the perfume industry, as well as her personal attachment to it, really shows how iconic Prada Candy has become. It’s a beautiful example of how fragrance can create lasting memories. <3

  • sourbergamot says:

Very beautiful description the notes, all of the fragrances sound so delicious especially the interesting note inspired by the chantilly cream in Oriana. I’ve been a subscriber to steven for years now and i can honestly vouch on that man’s nose. He’s very descriptive about each notes and goes really indepht on each scents. Cheers!

  • MysticalArugula says:

What I enjoyed about Steven’s and michelyn’s reviews are their depth description which left me feeling like I could smell the fragrance through my phone. Steven’s acknowledgment of Prada Candy as a trendsetting fragrance shows how it brought sweet, playful perfumes into a classy realm which was a new learning for me.
    I live in USA

  • I always enjoy Steven’s video’s. To the point, and the blind buys I did following his descriptions were always exactly how I pictured the scent.
He can make a fragrance sound tasty and make you hungry for it. I have never smelled a sweet fragrance with marshmallow accrod so it would be definitely something new for me.

  • I love when Steven gives insight on all notes with not only listing them but also explaining what to expect, which accords are stronger than others and in general his charisma always make reviews interesting. I love sweet scents and I’m really excited for this Oriana. Some of the other one’s I love include their Delina.
    US

  • The caramel and musk base in Prada candy is what I loved the most because it seems to creates a very comforting sweetness that feels perfect for autumn. How Michelyn described it makes me want to try it as wel.

  • Steven is always so informative in his reviews. I am a gourmand lover, so the entire selction has made me want to try these fragrances even more! Most of the notes especially macaron and Chantilly cream are right up my alley. My current favorite is Delina Exclusif.

  • scenchanting says:

What I enjoyed about the reviews: I really enjoyed how Oriana’s Chantilly cream and marshmallow combination adds a dreamy, almost ethereal quality that makes it feel more grown-up than the typical sweet perfume.
I also like that as a man steven is not afraid to wear something that may seem feminine.
    USA

  • Great article and review. I love how in depth and passionate you are about fragrance! I am a fragrance junkie and love seeing reviews. Your review and article explain how the Oriana fragrance and its gorgeous notes of citrus, raspberry, currant, orange blossom and chantilly cream came about and how prada candy still performs the same after 13 years. It sounds phenomenal. Thanks so much for all the information. Much appreciated.

  • As a gourmand girl, this just seems so dreamy and winning this beautiful bottle would definitely be a dream come true. Delina Exclusif is already such a heavy hitter for the community, I just KNOW this is going to be such a sensorium experience! So happy this is being offered in a giveaway because I would sure love to experience this one, as it would be my first niche fragrance in my collection.

  • Swetrosysillage says:

The way Michelyn describes her enduring love for Prada Candy makes it clear that this fragrance has had a lasting impact, not only on her but on the perfume industry as a whole. The fact that it was released in 2011 and still holds a special place in her collection speaks to its timeless appeal. It’s exciting to see sweet scents which are perfect for Halloween and winters.

  • ScentNScent says:

I’m so happy to read this review! Prada Candy is one of my most loved perfumes, but I’ve always felt sort of guilty about how much i adore it…But this review is as elegant and lovely as the scent. Thank you for your words, all the 3 perfumes deserves them.

  • All these gourmands right off the bat catch my attention! Whipped cream, chantilly cream, marshmallow..oh yes! I love the uniqueness of the combination of Chantilly Cream and marshmallow, which is a enticing combination of sweet and fluffy.

  • Lophoflora336 says:

First thing, this bottle of Oriana is just so gorgeous!! The color of the bottle makes me think that this fragrance is vibrate and bold. I’ve sampled Sweetie Aoud previously and it’s amazing. I love that it’s gourmand and the oud isn’t overpowering. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. I am in the US.

  • Perpetual collector says:

The aroma of butter browning and flour toasting would have to be one of my favorite scent memories in this lifetime andsteven while describing sweetie aoud just made me imagine that.
Thank you folks of Cafleurebon for this giveaway! hoping to win!

  • fragrancegorlie says:

Steven as an amazing connoisseur, hits us all with that beautiful passion for perfume and makes me want to spend hours talking about perfumery. This review was clean and clear, as always.
This loved fragrance Sweetie Aoud which has a note composition that striked me from the moment i knew. It is very interesting but sweet and comfy and at the same time very sophesticated and mature.

  • Michael Prince says:

I loved Steven and Michelyn’s selections and reviews for sweet Fall Fragrances. Prada Candy is a modern classic that is very sweet and popular in the fragrance community with it’s sugary caramel and vanillic nature. Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud is a classy and stunning gourmand that I have always loved and cherished. Parfums de Marly Oriana has the sweet marshnallow and whipped cream notes that really set it apart. I love sweet and gourmand styled fragrances. I am following @cafleurebonoffical on Instagram. My insta name is @michaelprincefragrances I am from the USA.

  • I have to admit I do have a sweet tooth, and I’d like to thank Michelyn and Steven for the interesting Halloween choices, and lively reviews
Speaking of the 3 co-curated fragrances Prada is a brand I’ve never been a fan of, both clothes, shoes and fragrances.
Roja Dove is literally the epitome the niche, and high end perfumery. Because of Steven and Michelyn I’d like to go to the local bakery… owned by a French cook. They do sell croissants and brioches I both adore eating with my morning and afternoon coffees
Oriana sounds delicious , orange blossom, marshmallow , fruits and some musk nuances . It sounds super good , and cozy , maybe even flirtatious like Michelyn suggested. All Parfums de Marly non-transparent, and transparent bottles look super classy , including Oriana i like the color, and the contrast with the cap.Call me perfectionist, but bottle design, looks and the way it feels, are all important to me.
    Thanks for the draw

absolutely love sweet perfumes and gourmands are my favorite category.

  • Adore gourmands, and not because of my job. Since very young age I’ve always been attracted to sweet and eatable smells.
☆ Prada Candy , one of my moms favorite fragrances
    ☆ Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud
Since I’m a traditionally trained in Paris Pastry Chef, I can’t help but being heads over heals about Sweetie Aoud , fragrance made to mimic the smell of French Pastry Shop, and particularly freshly baked croissants . My favorite Roja Dove fragrance
    ☆ Parfums de Marly Oriana
Steven and Michelyn take on Oriana reminded me of making, and later eating Black Currant Mousse Sheet Cake , With Whipped Cream Topping and Non-Candied Fresh Berries on top .
Appreciate both reviews, the culinary references and the giveaway campaign

Hi, i was Reading this article and going to comment but before I got to it my children ended up with my phone and posted another’s comment somehow. I can’t find a way to get rid of it so I am just attempting to let you guys know by commenting like I planned to when I got the chance.

This article brought me so much excitement as a lover of sweet vanilla ambery and gourmand fragrances I knew I would enjoy this one. I think as usual Steven did a great job describing the fragrances. I have only tried one of the three here but he is always spot on to how I would try to describe them myself. Michelyn had great picks, the one I have tried I love so now I am itching to try the other two she recommended here. Candy is a long time favorite and roja perfums and parfums de marley I love for their strength and quality of ingredients so I really want to try the other picks now

My Instagram is @krystalburchette I live in USA North Carolina thanks for the draw and happy Halloween everyone!

  • We can have both tricks and treats you know, but I’m happy Michelyn and Steven focused on the treats today 🙂
As usual I’ll share my thoughts on the 3 fragrances, and compare my thoughts with what they are getting.
Candy by Prada , composed by Daniela Andrier. Michelyn do have a point saying that the fragrance has been copied a lot during the years. I believe there’s a noticeable white flowers accords in Candy too.
Roja Dove Sweetie Aoud is a gourmand for grown-ups, buttery, delicious and woody.
Oriana by Parfums de Marly, composed by Natalie Lorson and Hamid Merati-Kashani . Michelyn took the words out of my mouth about the quality orange blossom. I really like the drydown with red fruits and the tangy feel.
All profiles I already follow, @waltherp99bg
    Thanks a lot

No spooky but lots of cookies , I love the Halloween fragrances you picked
Prada Candy I’ve never smelled before , overdosed on benzoin sounds quite nice
Roja Dove Sweetie Aoud, Roja Dove sure knows his job , no wonder almost all fragrance enthusiasts puts him on such pedestal , it’s not just Michelyn and Steven.
Huge fan of Pegasus, and I’d love to win Oriana. Almost all my orange blossom based , but also musky fragrances I wear with a suit at the shop , the chantilly cream and the marshmallow accords are tickling my fancy even more. Two heads are better than one , if they are helping each other, Nathalie Lorson and Hamid Merati-Kashani created a special fragrance, I’m sure.
Thank you Michelyn , Steven , Parfums de Marly

  • Hello candied Halloween perfumes
Prada Candy 2024 version is not what it used to be in the past , the beauty Michelyn is describing
In Roja Parfums Sweetie Aoud other than a high end gourmand, with macarons and delicious buttery accords i can smell rose too.
Parfums de Marly Oriana is bright and fizzy playful fragrance , with citruses on top , finest quality orange blossom , marshmallows and whipped cream base
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • Prada Candy was one of the first caramel fragrances I got my nose on years ago and I agree with Michelyn, it is pure scented pleasure. Steven and Michelyn’s description of Oriana PDM made my mouth water. Love this cocurated Halloween list. Thank you for the opportunity. TX, USA. Follow you on IG @Ciaobaby_01

  • Some great picks , well done.
Prada Candy I’ve seen in department stores, but never tried
Roja Dove Sweetie Aoud feels sexy , with special patisserie and oud feeling
Being a vain man compliments are really important to me. Oriana with its fresh orange blossom, fruityness , and moderately sweet marshmallow base, for sure will get me unsolicited compliments , smelling amazing. Sweet and sensuous? Oriana is for me yes
    Exciting giveaway, USA
