“Sniff-ets”: Guerlain’$ Queen Bee

What smells of ‘green gust of air”, costs $19,232 and is heading to Hong Kong?

Answer: One 245 ml flacon of the limited edition $cent “l’Abeille de Guerlain” (the bee of Guerlain)  created by Thierry Wasser. There are forty seven only; each bee-shaped handmade, individually numbered Baccarat crystal flacon is flanked by two large clear wings  As every perfumista knows, the bee has been the symbol for the House of Guerlain since its inception.

According to Guerlain the scent evokes “green gust of air,” “a scent of grass, full of dense, rich sap,” and then the flowers “Mimosa, orange blossom, jasmine.”

In September in New York, nine bottles were sold in a snap. There's a list at the Guerlain counter in  Harvey Nichol's, Hong Kong for interested parties. So far, there have been no takers.
