Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods Review (Julie Massé) + The Scent of Brambles Draw

Shay and Blue Blackberry woods review

This past autumn Shay & Blue introduced Blackberry Woods, the new fall and winter fragrance that I am reaching for time and time again. Of the thousands of perfumes I own and love, Blackberry Woods is probably one of the easiest to wear, drawing a host of compliments from friends and strangers alike. Delicate and intriguing, Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods is a fresh, cool take on the sweet tart blackberry, set against a background of green mossy, winter trees and fecund forest floors.

If you are looking for a jammy, sweet and sticky “confiture de mûres”, you will NOT find it in this latest offering from Shay & Blue. Instead, founder and creative director Dom De Vetta and perfumer Julie Massé offer blackberries in situ, unsweetened and unprocessed, fresh off the canes, barely ripe and ever so slightly crisp.

The note list for Blackberry Woods is brief – blackberry, neroli, lemon leaf, cypress woods – but the effect is so much more than this simple scent profile would at first suggest. The blackberry functions not so much as a perceived “note” but as an experience, an olfactive vignette of late autumn and early winter. In Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods the briars and thorns of the invasive vine are kissed with an early frost. The sharp scent of brambles and leaves, recreated by perfumer Julie Massé’s masterful use of neroli and lemon, add a chilled lift and authenticity to the sweet, sensual stain of the juicy berries.

Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods review

Blackberry Woods’ initial sparkling refreshment dries slowly into shadowed impressions of sleeping trees and forest walks at dusk. I find myself resting after eight hours out of doors, cozy and safe in the woody warmth of home and hearth.

Notes:  Blackberry, neroli, lemon leaf and cypress woods.

Disclaimer:  I would like to thank Dom De Vetta and Shay & Blue for my cherished bottle of Blackberry Woods. My opinions are my own.

  • This fragrance sounds yummy. We have wild blackberries on our property and I always go out and pick them to make cobbler or jam. I have a big bottle of Salt Caramel by Shay & Blue and absolutely love it. USA

  • I’ve only sampled Salt Caramel from Shay & Blue but like that one very much. So that’d be my favorite from the brand by default. But a sparkling start that turns fruity and woody sounds really yummy and might very well dethrone it. At least I can easily see why it would become a favorite winter fragrance.

Please enter me in the draw. I’m from Germany, EU.

  • I would love a wintry woods real blackberry scent, especially one that Gail says receives lots of compliments. I have never tried another Shay & Blue scent, and I am in the US.

  • I would love to wear this easy and garner a host of compliments as well. One I like from the house is Sicilian Limes. US

  • Mohamed Tarek Ahmed says:

Amazing description of the scent. I’ll definitely would love to try it one day though the draw.

  • Jennifer Wingard says:

I love how Gail writes of the unprocessed just off the cane scent, a moment which condenses juicy words into summer. Wondering what it might be like layered with my other Shay & Blue favorite, Salt Caramel. In the US, amongst the brambles.

  • I am not as familiar with blackberry as a note but the idea of sniffing it in a fragrance brings back childhood memories. I am glad this isn’t the sweet, sticky kind, and the woody undertones make it sound quite appealing. I haven tried any of the fragrances from the line but I have always been curious. I live in the USA.

  • Few fragrances that I have come across have blackberry as a main note. From the review, Blackberry Woods does seem fitting in the creative gourmant category – which Shay & Blue are notoriously known for – and would be interesting to try.
Having sampled both Salt Caramel and Framboise Noire, I was more impressed by the latter. I always was a fan of the fruity-woody concoction & I beleive I will surely be impressed by Blackberry Woods.
Would love to give this a try.

  • Wow what a giveaway and what a great review. The combination of blackberry and the lemon and neroli sounds very nice. Would love to try this experience. Living in the EU

  • Beautiful review. I am trying to imagine how these fragrance would smell… And I think I would like it a lot! Sounds like a beautiful composition, berries and woods, which you can get a lot of use from. Wearable and interesting, perfect combination.
I don’t have a favorite from Shay & Blue, becouse I didn’t knew them, but I will try to get to smell their offerings.
    Best regards from Spain, EU.

  • BostonScentGuy says:

I love the evocative imagery that Gail gives us, particularly describing the tart greenness of the berry note and the earthy supporting notes. I also love how it’s described as effortless to wear, as I enjoy having some of those scents in my (usually challenging) stable. I haven’t actually tried any Shay and Blue! Thanks for the draw–I’m in the US.

  • Josh Teriyaki says:

Loved the description of this one by the reviewer definitely made me want to try this one. Ga USA

  • I love Shay & Blue’s English Cherry Blossom and love Gail’s description of the neroli and lemon leaf’s influence on the BlackBerry note. Sounds lovely! USA

  • Sunny Chaudhary says:

I love shay and blue white peaches, it so yummy and I know shay and blue is pretty good at making gourmand scents! Today itself I talk about white Peaches on my instagram!

Gail review is so realistic and up to the point where she connects with the people reading about it!

Thanks Dom De Vita and Shay and Blue for this amazing draw and ofcourse Cafleurebon, can’t thank them enough.

  • I haven’t tried any fragrances that feature the blackberry note. Judt the thought of walking through a forest at dusk sounds dreamy. I love the night. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff! Mich USA

  • MemoryHunter says:

My favorite memories to make with my daughter is the time we go out to pick blackberries and make a pie. This scent sounds like the soundtrack to our excursions. Would dearly love to smell how delicate it is! Washington State, USA.

  • I have had the pleasure of sampling Shay & Blue not that long ago and I absolutely loved their Framboise Noir. “Sleeping woods and forest walks at dusk” sounds something I would like as I love green, woody scents.A reader from Los Angeles, CA, USA.

  • A tart, icy blackberry and mossy woods sounds wonderful and like the winter ai wish we were having! I appreciate that the blackberry isn’t used as a fruit bomb in this composition. Izvestia sampled Framboise Noir before. I’m in the US

  • Haven’t tried any from Shay & Blue. Wow! The effect is so much more than the short list of notes. The scent of trees and leaves makes me reminisce some of my old days. Thank you for this giveaway. IL, USA

  • Today is a complicated day that calls for an easy to wear scent. This one sounds perfect – not sweet, not screaming. I live in the USA.

  • Never tried anything from this house before but I’d love to try this one. The blackberry note sounds quite intriguing. The review was also a delight to read. A dry down of “shadowed impressions of sleeping trees and forest walks at dusk” sounds very alluring. Please enter me in your giveaway. Thanks. Commenting from Kentucky USA.

  • Gail says Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods is one of the easiest perfumes to wear that she has encountered. It has fresh blackberry vibes with forest-ish elements. Its refreshing so good choice for the coming summer season. I am in US.

  • Says a lot about Blackberry Woods if this is one of your easiest to wear out of over a thousand perfumes. I love the blackberry note and your description of it being fresh and cool sounds fantastic, especially one that draws compliments and lasts eight hours. Thanks for introducing me to this house. Regards from Boston USA.

  • Salt Caramel was the only one that i’ve sampled from this house and it was just ok. Now reading Gail’s review, i think i would enjoy the unsweetened , fresh, barely ripe blackberries on the background of the forest, and not the jammy sweet ones found in most of the fragrances. Nice reading, thanks for the chance, i am in the EU.

  • love, love neroli, so i’ll probably end up getting this. besides i like the short list of notes not being simple, but “an olfactive vignette”. sadly no fav from shay & blue—yet! thx from california

  • Firstly, the packaging is awesome and so are the pictures that accompany the review.
What does late autumn and early winter smell like? Fresh, cool, green mossy, winter trees, I’d like to know.
Lovely short review, strait to the point and simple. Thank you, Gail.

  • This fragrance review reminds me of picking blackberries late in the evening in spring time when it was still cool. My brother and I would take our treasure home to our mother for cobbler, it would smell so good cooking. Texas USA. I ‘m not familiar with Shay and Blue fragrances.

  • This sounds like a simple yet classy fragrance. Could be a signature scent.
Interested to see how the neroli note intermingle with the zesty lemon leaf..
    KY. USA

  • What I loved most about gails review was “sparkling refreshment dries slowly into shadowed impressions of sleeping trees and forest walks at dusk”

I live in the countryside and this sounds like the description I always wanted to say about my walks but never could put the words together. So to have an olfactive version of that would be great.

    From Ireland, EU.

  • Haven’t tried Shay & Blue –
Gail’s review shines light on how sometimes less can be more – Blackberry Woods sounds fantastic.
    Pennsylvania USA

  • This sounds refreshing – both literally and also as a change from the usual sweet berry perfumes. It sounds really enchanting. Thank you! Portland OR

  • Armando Esparza says:

Id like to think fragrances should smell more natural and authetic and Blackberry Woods, the way it was described, should appease those who want to smell good without smelling like an overly and chemically sweet mess that I’ve noticed some companies taking that route.
Ive smelled Pacific Rock Moss and thought its fresh and bright. Perfect for a stroll by the beach on a windy summer day.
    California, USA

  • I like how Gail describes gourmand scent like it is not a gourmand, – that blackberry here is not a note but rather an experience, which strongly stimulates my wish to try it as well as other scents from this house as unfortunately I havent tried any yet. The draw is so generous! Good like everyone (and myself:)
    Lina, EU

  • I haven’t tried any of Shay and Blue perfumes, so if the Lady Luck favors me, I may get to try this, or buy later (I am writing from USA). The review evokes the feeling of woody green relaxation with a zesty note from lemon and neroli, kind of like a hot cup of green tea that relaxes and wakes you up at the same time (Grey Flannel, Bowling Green I am thinking of though have a hard time conjuring the blackberry theme – maybe I am totally off the mark here, so worth checking out). Thank you for the review and the drawing. Writing from Texas USA.

  • I’m impressed by the high commendation from Gail, I love when simple notes add up to so much more. I don’t have a favorite Shay & Blue yet as I’ve barely tried the line, but as a Pacific Northwester my appreciation for woodsy blackberry cannot be overstated.

    Thanks for the generous drawing!

  • This fragrance has intrigued me. It is not sweet and sticky ”confiture de mûres”! I realized lately that I am tired of sweet, gourmand scents. All this craziness after sweet, vanilla, chocolate, cinnamon and others alike has passed by me. But a fragrance that smells of unsweetened and unprocessed, barely ripe and slightly crisp blackberries sounds more than intriguing!

I do not know the house, unfortunately. I live in EU.

  • I am intrigued by a perfume smelling like fresh blueberry resting in the frozen leaves of an early winter. Love to try it. Ana, Romania, EU

  • This speaks to me so much. I love creations which keep the natural olfactive elements and inspirations exactly as they are, without sugaring them up or coating them in whatever other layers and making them “perfumey”. I would love to smell the fresh, crisp, acidic blackberry fruit and its surrounding slightly moist woods in the misty, biting late autumn mountain air. The description is so beautiful I almost become emotional. I have never tried any Shay & Blue fragrance before. I am in the EU. Thank you.

  • I like that it is described as a fresh sort of take on BlackBerry. And also that it says the lemon and neroli add an almost chilled effect. I have been wanting to try Shay and Blue but have not yet. Scents such as Salt Caramel and Blood Oranges have certainly caught my attention from the first time I saw them on Luckyscent. I live in CT USA. Thank you for the generous draw.

  • I like the description of the perfume, becase it is not sticky sweet, but it’s cozy and warm and it evokes the calmnes of woods. I haven’t tested any perfume from Shay and Blue so.it would by my first one. Thank you from EU Romania.

  • sounds lovely, especially the forest -like feeling I get from the rewiev! I hane not tested this one ore any other from the brand but will someday, it sounds so good! from Finland,EU

  • Intrigued by blackberry and cypress Woods in particular a house I need to explore further. Thanks from UK

  • I am interested by blackberry and cypress Woods notes. I remember testing oud alif but enjoyed it has been on my wishlist. Thanks from UK

  • bigscoundrel says:

I love fruity fragrances, but I’m not a huge fan of overly sweet fragrances. This usually means I find fruity fragrances to be challenging. Blackberry Woods sounds perfect for me with the bright crisp blackberry opening opening that transforms into woody winter trees in a mossy forest. My favorite Shay & Blue is a toss up between Suffolk Lavender and Blood Oranges. New Jersey, USA.

  • I liked the last part where the fragrance turns into impressions of walks amongs the forest at dusk. I am in EU. Thank you!

  • Blackberry Woods is new to me , because I know most Shay and Blue offerings.
Blackberry Lemon Naked Cake is what I was instantly reminded of, after reading Gail review. Just eating it slowly, and enjoying time.
Salt Caramel is my favorite Shay and Blue fragrance, their most famous one as far as I know. Smells like it’s name , like a salted caramel cake. Delicious.
Appreciate Gail review, and the giveaway campaign.

  • I love her description of a cool blackberries on the bush covered with frost. Would love to try BlackBerry Woods. My favorite for summer is Watermelons. I’m in MA, USA. Thanks!

  • This sounds like a lovely gem. It sounds like the fragrance isn’t too sweet allowing for a more unisex feel. Big fan of berries and woody notes. USA

  • I am really interested in this because of it not being jammy! I think it’d be awesome to experience a natural smelling fruit in fragrance instead of it being exaggerated so much! I am in Pennsylvania and I think my favorite is Salt Caramel!

  • Come on Gail, why you had to mention cane of blackberries? 😉 I’m drooling right now.
Own 2 Shay and Blue fragrances -by far the most famous one Salt Caramel , and the lovely for a nice autumn or spring evening walk Framboise Noire. Completely agree with Gail about Shay and Blue fragrances, and compliments.
Both fragrances I’ve mentioned are crowd pleasers – i always get at least one or two unsolicited compliments.By the way Framboise Noire is super underrated fragrance.
    Thank you.
Back and forth between USA and Scotland. 1 week in US -> 1 week in Scotland, and so on. Basically both USA and EU/UK at the same time.

  • I don’t have any of Shay and wood fragrances. But after reading Gail’s review I would love to try Blackberry Woods. I love this statement”The blackberry functions not so much as a perceived “note” but as an experience, an olfactive vignette of late autumn and early winter. ” I love the scent of Blackberry in fragrances. This one sounds not to sweet but earthy. USA, California.

  • alexandraioana says:

Thank you, Gail for this review. In general, I love blackberry notes in fragrance, but how Gail describes, beeing diferent from the typical sweet blackberry – milky pie scent, I find to be very interesting and I would like to have a chance to smell Blackberry Woods. Also, that late autumn- early winter feeling or olfactive vignette as Gail describes it, makes this fragrance very intriguing for me. Thank you again for this opportunity! I live in Romania.

  • I very much enjoyed this review, thanks Gail! I love blackberry as a note and lemon, neroli and woods sound like a great supporting cast! My favorite fragrances from Shay and Blue are White Peaches and Salt Caramel. From Washington state, USA

  • “fresh, cool take on the sweet tart blackberry, set against a background of green mossy, winter trees and fecund forest floors.”

    I’m intrigued. Mouthwatering review 🙂
My personal Shay and Blue top 3:
    1.Nashwa Extract of Parfum
    2.Oud Alif Extract of Parfum
    3.Salt Caramel
As far as I know Extracts are not wildly available, but every fragrance lover knows Salt Caramel – masterpiece imo .Really unique fragrance , and at the same time compliment monster.Gets me compliments each and every time i’m wearing it. “What is this?” , “What are you wearing?” and so on…

  • I like the concept of fruits in winter and this is no exception. I also like the sense that you have been outdoors as you wear it. Scarlet Lily is a favorite of mine. Thanks for a great review and a generous draw. I’m in the USA

  • I love the idea of Blackberry as an experience, rather than a note. Late autumn/early winter is my favorite time of year, so it sounds like I’d like this scent.

USA here, have never encountered Shay & Blue but now I’m intrigued!

  • I love the idea of a blackberry scent that gets at the tartness of the fruit, which is so much more interesting when it is not too sugared up. I also like the idea of a fragrance that is still complex and rounded even though it may have only four notes. I don’t know the Shay and Blue brand, but I would certainly like to based on this review. I live in the US, in North Carolina.

  • Gail’s review makes me think of Vagabond Prince Enchanted Forest, but replacing the black currant with blackberry. Sounds amazing. I live in Indiana. I don’t have a favorite Shay & Blue because I haven’t tried them yet.

  • farawayspices says:

I am intrigued by Blackberry Woods because of the fact that it is not a sweet jammy interpretation of blackberry (which is what is usually found). I have been intrigued by almost every review of Shay and Blue, but I have not yet tried the line. I live in the USA. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • ChristineKaren says:

The woody warmth Gail mentioned sounds cozy. My favorite activity is hiking and the BlackBerry Woods would surely be my favorite scent and a way for me to carry that experience with me. US of A!

  • I like the idea that a simple composition can create a larger effect when combined artfully. I’ve never tried fragrances in this line, but I would like to especially after reading this review. I live in the USA.

  • Very interested in experiencing blackberry, not as a note, but as an experience as Gail describes. I’ve never had the opportunity to try a Shay & Blue fragrance.
    VA, USA

  • What an incredible bottle and package design. I love how Gails words recreated a walk in the woods of October. I imagined pushing aside some branches to make my own path and coming across a meadow that smells like this scent. Very nice! I live in NYC and I’m not familiar with the house

  • Hello beautiful people! I love picking berrys in the garden or even better in the woods, so I’m sure I would love to try : Shay& Blue” Blackberry Woods”
    Florida USA

  • How can I say how delightful this sounds: “blackberries in situ, unsweetened and unprocessed, fresh off the canes, barely ripe and ever so slightly crisp.” Plus a bed of leaves? Very enticing. I’ve never sampled anything from the house but have wanted to, most particularly watermelons. NY NY in USA. Thanks for the chance!

  • This fragrance seems transparent and refreshing. Quite wonderful. I’ve only heard of Shay & Blue’s Salt Caramel but haven’t had the chance to test it. Would love to wear this one. Cheers from Romania, EU.

  • I was intrigued by the sound of mildly ripe, very natural and unsweetened berries on a base of cypress, with almost a frosty touch. I am in the EU and have never smelled anything by this house. Thank you!

  • I am a blackberry devotee, but not exactly in perfumes. Most perfumes do not interprete it the way I love it. L’Artisan Parfumeur Mure et Musc Extreme is the only one (so far) I have and I love wearing. One of the best smells in nature is the scent of sun-warmed bramble vines in the undergrowth of pine trees – the combination of the warmed resins from the trees blending with the fruity ambrosia is one thing I love the summer for! However, I have never tried a perfume with frost effect in it, let alone frosted blackberries, and that pricked my ears and nose in Gail’s review! I love blackberry sorbet, so that should be a fragrance to satiate my greed in that direction!
I do not know a lot of fragrances from Shay & Blue London. I own Atropa Belladonna, and I have tried Salt Caramel and Dandelion Fig. I like, but rarely wear the first, the caramel is pretty comforting, but I surely smelled better interpretations of the topic, while Dandelion Fig is unique and much to my greenery liking!
Thanks for the chance! I live in Bulgaria!

  • Shay and Blue are keep making fragrances smelling like my favorite fruits. Blackberry Woods I feel it’s a joyful, but not juvenile fragrance perfectly suited for the spring.
White Peaches is the one Shay and Blue fragrance I have. I’m not much of a compliment guy , but if BlackBerry Woods do have the same compliment factor like White Peaches I know I’ll receive at least one per day.
Thank you for the draw. USA

  • Bryant Worley says:

What I liked about the review was that she is causing me to anticipate the olfactory pleasure that will come from smelling Blackberry Woods’ fresh, cool take on the sweet tart blackberry, set against a background of green mossy, winter trees and fecund forest floors. Will be Interesting to experience the sharp, unsweetened BlackBerry against that backdrop. I live in Waldorf, MD, USA and, unfortunately, have never sampled a Shay & Blue (but have enjoyed the few vids I’ve seen about them).

  • Wow, the easiest to wear, out of thousands :).
The jammy side of blackberries imply the autumn richness while the fresh fruit do evokes the crispness of winter – Gail underlined it really well, almost could feel it.
    Living in Europe.

  • “neroli and lemon, add a chilled lift and authenticity to the sweet, sensual stain of the juicy berries.”

Gail is going poetic here 🙂 You’re obviously found of Shay and Blue, I well remember your were also impressed by… can’t remember the name, the one with peach in it.
Everybody knows Shay and Blue for their surreal for every gourmand lover creation called Salt Caramel. Watched a lot of YouTube reviews and bought it. Now I cannot live without it. This fragrance puts me in almost orgasmic states. Thx again for the quality review, and for the giveaway.
USA most of the year, and Germany from time to time.

  • Michael Prince says:

Gail, great review Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods. This sounds amazing with the sweet blackberries contrasting with the bitter lemon leaf and neroli. Then it transitions into strong woody base like a beautiful walk through the forest. My favorite Shay & Blue fragrance is Salt Caramel. I am from Ohio, USA.

  • I love blackberries, pick the wild ones near my house every summer. Their packaging is perfect for this scent. I love blackberry in fragrance, especially if it is crisp. Thanks Gail for the great article. My favorite of the line is Sea Salt Caramel. uSA.

  • I like the idea of an authentic fruit scent, not overly sweet, but crisp and tart and set against the dusky, forestry background. It’s also very interesting that so few notes are used to attain such an experiential fragrance. Blackberry Woods sounds delightful!

  • I always wear perfumes that make me smell like a walking church. So maybe it would be nice for a change to wear something different, that would complement my skin in another way. Thank you for your reveiw, Gail. I live in Romania.

  • “Sleeping trees and forest walks at dusk” – I would love to smell this in a perfume…

    Kind regards from The Netherlands

  • Blackberry Woods sounds really good to me, fruity woody, not overbearingly sweet fragrances I’m a fan of.
Oud Alif Shay & Blue London is my close encounters fragrance I wear on dates only.
Thank you for the opportunity. USA

  • Since Gail says this gets her a lot of compliments, I know that this is an awesome fragrance! I love that she specified that this is not a jammy fragrance. My favorite line is: “Delicate and intriguing, Shay & Blue Blackberry Woods is a fresh, cool take on the sweet tart blackberry, set against a background of green mossy, winter trees and fecund forest floors.” The only thing I have tried has been the Salt Caramel. Thanks for the generous giveaway and I live in the US!

Shay & Blue is a fascinating fragrance company that has many compelling scents in it’s repertoire! I have samples of a few of them but I own a full bottle of Salt Caramel and it is absolutely divine! I have a few others on my list that I definitely need to pick up as well… Blacks Club Leather, Almond Cucumber, and Oud Alif are ones I will surely own in the future. I have been wanting to try Blueberry Musk and Black Tulip as well, as I hear they are lovely fragrances. Samples will be coming to me soon! Blackberry Woods sounds stunning.

“If you are looking for a jammy, sweet and sticky “confiture de mûres”, you will NOT find it in this latest offering from Shay & Blue. Instead, founder and creative director Dom De Vetta and perfumer Julie Massé offer blackberries in situ, unsweetened and unprocessed, fresh off the canes, barely ripe and ever so slightly crisp.” I hate to just rewrite Gail’s words verbatim, but this paragraph is what sold me!

I was originally thinking that Blackberry Woods would be just that…. a jammy, sweet, woody scent, and I was perfectly fine with that! However, with it being a unsweetened, unprocessed, and crisp, this sparks my interest even more! I am really intrigued of how this one smells now! I am sure it is amazing if it is anything like Julie and Dom’s other collaborative masterpieces!

Thank you Gail, for the beautiful write-up on Blackberry Woods! I enjoyed the read and can’t wait until the next one! Thank you Dom for your generosity and for this crisp opportunity! It is greatly appreciated! Thank you Michelyn, as always, for putting all of this together! Commenting from Delaware, US. Good luck to all!

  • This sounds like such an interesting and refreshing fragrance. I was incredibly intrigued by this statement – “The blackberry functions not so much as a perceived “note” but as an experience”.
    I live in the US.

  • Based on your review I will probably love this perfume, simply because I love Blackberrys as long as they are not too sweet 🙂

    I’m from Germany, EU.

  • Wow blackberry is a pretty unique note in fragrances. Would love to try it out to see how blackberry balances with the background of green notes. I’ve never tried any fragrances from Shay & Blue but I think Blackberry Woods would be a fine starting point. NY, USA

  • I like this detailed review that Gail gives us almost can smell it through the iPhone
    I’m from Europe Croatia. ❤️

  • To me Shay and Blue London are not getting even half the attention they should get. Value is really good. Salt Caramel is one of my most complimented fragrances, and as a vain man I count all the compliments I get. Women just love it.
I really wanted to try Nashwa , but Luckyscent told me they were carrying Shay and Blue London premium fragrances in the past , but not anymore.
I’m excited for Blackberry Woods giveaway, grown up but sensual fragrance. USA/FRANCE

  • I have tested a few from Shay and Blue and my favorite is Blood Oranges. Based on Gail’s review Blackberry Woods might replace it.
“A cool take on the sweet tart blackberry, set against a background of green mossy, winter trees and fecund forest floors” sounds amazing.
I feel myself transported to the woods, enjoying the clean, crisp air and picking wild blackberries.

Thank you for this amazing draw !

  • I enjoyed Gail’s explanation that the blackberry is not a perceived note but more of an overall experience. It makes the scent more intriguing! I liked Salted Caramel by the brand but, haven’t had a chance to really test them properly. Thank you for the draw! I’m in the US.

  • Thank you, everyone, for the kind words and for taking the time to comment and enter the draw. Best of luck and Happy Valentine’s Day!❤️❤️❤️

  • I like blackberry fragrances, this one sounds very interesting. A walk in the woods among all those smells is a great experience. I live in Romania, EU.

  • Oh man! This is a great review Gail! Berries and Cyprus sound sooo good together! I have heard great things about Shay & Blue but have never smelled one. I am in Utah, USA.

    Thanks!
