The Artisan Collection was inspired by a beautiful poem recited to Sarah Horowitz by her father when she was a child…Roots and Wings…this beautiful poem gave birth in Sarah’s creative mind to this equally gorgeous trio of scents…Wings, Roots and Belle Route. As I was testing thise trio of delightful perfumes I kept thinking of a song by a stunning Harpist and singer Sophia Songhealer
Give me roots
And give me wings
Give me angels
And wild things
Give me too much
And give me Blue
Give me wings and give me roots
Give me sunshine and give me rain…
Give me laughter and give me pain (just a little bit)
Take me higher take me deep
Make me stronger
Wake me from this sleep…

Wings by Sarah Horowitz Parfums
Wings is a tropical floral fantasy perfume all about bright flowers with fruity splashes of yuzu and pear. Heady jasmine takes center stage with a trail of gardenia and sweet pikake petals following in her wake. Wings remains a sultry floral throughout dry down wedded to a comfortable cloud of vanillic base notes with touches of the soft woods, oakmoss and orris root linking it to its brother/sister scent Roots.
Roots by Sarah Horowitz for Sarah Horowitz Parfums
Roots is an earthy unisex perfume created from primarily base notes evoking deep green rain forests dripping with vanilla orchid vines, grey green musky oakmoss and sweet smoky oud. Base note perfumes are often very changeable according to personal chemistry, bringing out the wearers own nuances in many cases to good effect. Roots is such a fragrance and is quite wearable and enjoyable if you like musky dark woody scents.
Reminds me of? “Roots” by Oshadi, a 100% natural essential oil and fragrance line generally sold in health food stores. Roots by Sarah Horowitz Parfums is a muskier scent that may appeal to more people. It is still a scent that some would call hippy-ish but with a broader appeal than general hippie scents.
Belle Route by Marlene Stang for Sarah Horowitz Parfums
Perfumer Marlene Stang conjured this floral delight from her desire to reinvent a beautiful embossed tuberose soap from Florence that she had once received as a gift. She wanted the scent to be green and fresh so she paired the voluptuous tuberose with notes of Mediterranean fig, sea moss and oceanic musk. This fantasy scent tells the story of airy foyers of European hotels and the natural beauty of the Cote d’Azur and Capri.
I would describe this scent as a very lovely green creamy tuberose surrounded by ocean air with soft feathery-light musky undertones. Of the three fragrances this is my personal favorite, Ms.Stang has done something very charming with tuberose in creating Belle Route.

Longevity: average, roots lasts longer due to mostly being base notes
