Roja Parfums Scandal Pour Homme Review + Scent as Memory Draw

Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief of CaFleureBon and Roja Dove of Roja Parfums (December 6, 2018 at the USA press launch of Chypre Extraordinaire at Bergdorf Goodman):Photo Hernando

In 2009, I bought my first Roja Parfums Unspoken, a classic chypre, (before it was available in the USA) and I immediately thought of a fragrance my mom wore,  Hermes Caleche. It wasn’t that it smelled exactly the same, not at all, but it brought back memories of my mother holding my hand as she took me to school or greeted my dad after he returned from work. I recently met with Roja Dove at Bergdorf Goodman and we chatted about fragrance as liquid memoirs.  Roja Parfums A Good Night’s Kiss, a rich aldehydic floral was his tribute to the perfumes of his glamorous mother, who would bend down to kiss him before leaving for a dinner or party (it was released on her birth date of January 6th in 2015). It is one of the perfumes that instantly transport you to another place and time. Like the movie Inception, you aren’t sure if it is your memory or his!

Cary Grant in To Catch A Thief 1955

Sebastian had a similar experience when he wears Roja Parfums Scandal Pour Homme. Roja Parfums Scandal Pour Homme (2011) recalls the elegant classic vintage aromatic fougeres of past eras and the colognes that his father and uncles wore; for hours he is transported to his youth and to more elegant times. –Michelyn Camen, Editor-in-Chief

  • I love how Sebastian goes into detail of the fragrance and breaks it down for those of us who are new to this world. Would love to own one Roja at least because I don’t have any in my collection and the fragrance which transports me to my youth is Gucci Envy. One of my fav frag ever. From Montana USA

  • I love Sebastian, he really helps me wrap my head around the scent. I’m a big fan of ‘classic’ scents; they were wonderful and bold compared to the majority of non-niche releases these days. One that transports me to my youth is PdN New York – such a classic.

  • Ali Al Dawood says:

Roja is a Love/Hate fragrance in general.
For Oriental taste this is most have .

    Thanks Sebastian

    Regards,
    Ali

  • Sebastian has all the quality’s you look for in a good fragrance reviewer. I am also a huge fan of classic scents ans scandal seems to be right up my alley. Thank you! Nashville, Tennessee

  • Just Add Light says:

The original Pour Homme by D&G and JPG’s Le Male (both lavender scents) always take me back to my teens. Before that, it’s gotta be my dad’s Brut or mother’s Opium. The power of scent is the reason I became interested in fragrances and understand that Roja speaks about that a great deal. He’s a wise man. In fact, the lemon-lavender combo that’s in D&GPH is what drew me to Scandal in the first place. Really loved Sebastian’s description of the classy timelessness of the fragrance as well as his commentary on reformulations. It’s true. The gentleman’s spirit is all but lost among the tonka heavy scents of today, so it’s refreshing when something like this comes along that revisits the charm of bygone days. Roja has done it again! NC-USA.

  • Fan of fougere and Roja in general…can’t wait to get my nose on this one. Shout out to Sebastian for a great review.

  • Bigmandagreat1action says:

I love the video and how he breaks it down the different accents it definitely sounds like a fragrance i would try

  • The aromatic fougere is by far my most beloved fragrance genre. I love the way they make me feel: clean, gentlemanly, and confident. My two favorites at the moment are Margiela’s At The Barber’s, as well as 1725 from Histoires de Parfums. Roja’s Scandal has been on my to-smell list for some time now, and I’d love to have chance to mark it off the list! Sebastian has further hooked me with his impassioned review, as he often does.

  • Sebastian does really love his fougeres I have noticed. I see how something you smell in your youth and influence what you end up enjoying as you get older. One perfume I remember when I was very little was Aqua Di Gio worn by my older brother. While I’m close to my brother and liked smelling it back then I find nowadays I’m not a big fan of aquatics. I still get a little nostalgic when I smell it and I even own a bottle of the newer Profumo edition, it doesn’t quite trigger my nostalgia like the original.

Anyway, great review as always from Sebastian. Arizona 🙂

  • michaelprince83 says:

Sebastian, I love the way you describe this aromatic fougere fragrance. Roja Parfums Scandal sounds like the best of the best in the aromatic fougere category. I haven’t had the opportunity to try this one out yet.

  • Thanks for sharing your conversation with Roja Dove with us, Michelyn. The association of scents with certain times or people in my past can be so strong. My aunt, my mother, my godmother, my 6th grade teacher all are kept in my scent memories.

Sebastian, another great review. I love watching your videos (your voice is so soothing!) I’ll need to try Scandal soon. Tonka is my favorite part of a fougere and I love hearing it’s blended well into Scandal.

(not entering draw, but good luck everyone!)

  • Anthony Savoy says:

I love this review and the breakdown Sebastian gives. Fragrances like this always remind of coming my grandfathers hair as a child

  • Sebastian is a great reviewer! He describes everything with such great calmness and it’s really intriguing the way he describes every note of the fragrance! He’s my go to source for frags, and it seems I might have an additional source (you guys)! Thank you!!

  • I love a good fougere or barbershop style fragrance! I know this must be amazing just hearing Sebastian compare it to oldschool fougeres, we both share a love for azzaro pour homme which is one of my favorite fragrances and it’s the only one I had felt the need to track down the vintage version and atm i own all 3 formulations of it and wear it quite regularly. I have yet to try anything from Roja but I hope to in the future. Unfortunately there is no place to sample them where I live and just ordering a bottle is out of the question because of the huge pricetag. From what I have read there is one thing I can say about Roja they are synonymous with quality, they are the very essence of luxury! I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for and some Rojas go for over $2000 so I can only imagine the quality of the ingredients and the care that went into blending these fragrances. There are 2 fragrances that stand out to me from the Roja line that I wish to try someday chypre extraordinaire and scandal pour homme. Sebastian has also enthralled me in his past reviews of diaghilev and amber musk as he always does but scandal definatly speaks to me as something amazing that I must try. Fougere fragrances have always made me feel like a real gentleman, well put together and mature. Thank for the review and the generous giveaway! I am in the USA in AZ.

  • Thanks Sebastian! Knowing your preference for fougere fragrances and Roja being the premium brand it is, can imagine how great this would be !

  • yungcherrypops says:

Loved Sebastian’s review because as usual it was short, sweet, descriptive, and to the point! Would love to give this a try because I love fougeres! Something that transports me to my youth is Calvin Klein’s Eternity, which my dad wore when I was younger. Alabama, USA

  • Ivan.napoleon says:

Sebastián s review perfect as usual.
fragrance which transports me to my youth is jazz and live jazz YSL.
Id love to try this one
    Miami Florida Thanks

  • Great review! My only exposure to this house is Elysium. I’d love to get my nose on this! Sounds like a great scent, particularly the top. Sounds like this would really bring back memories of my grandfather as well. Located in CO, USA

  • Kyle Stevens says:

I’ve been trying a lot of Roja Parfums this month and would love to win this one. So far I’ve tried UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Amber Aoud, Musk Aoud, Taif Oud, PDLN 1 and hopefully Scandal you guys are awesome. Thanks

  • Sebastian brings up a great point about classic fragrances getting reformulated, thus becoming weak shadows of the original. It sounds like Scandal pays homage to those classics. Michelyn adds a nice, poetic touch with her talk with Roja, regarding fragrance as liquid memoirs. There is a fragrance that transports me back to my childhood, Drakkar Noir, what my dad smelled like when he would pick me up from my baseball games. Cheers from Indiana, USA.

  • Sebastian says Scandal is aromatic fougere with lemon and lavendar as the prominent notes while he also notes leathery and gourmand elements. He claims Scandals reminds him of some vintage men classics he smelled at a younger age. I am in US.

  • Enjoyed the description of the opening notes and what they might smell like blended. I’m in the mood for an old school fragrance done by the great Roja Dove. USA

  • Oooh I really must try this for the same reason I loved the review. I too am a fan of old yesteryear style fragrances. Aromatic fougere seem to be at the top of my list of samples to these days so even if I don’t win ill undoubdetdly be trying this one soon enough. Thanks Cafleuerebon and Sebastian!

  • To be honest I haven’t smell any of Roja parfums, with Sebastian Jara reviews this one is a must have. I read great reviews about this house of Roja and I believe it’s worth the price. I know this time I can’t afford yet, and if I get lucky this is my present from Roja.

Thank you Sebastian J for the awesome review.

  • This one sounds GORGEOUS. I LOVE a good fougere and Roja’s is sure to,be liquid art. Sebastian did a wonderful job of explaining what to expect in the drydown of this fragrance. The citrus fresh opening sounds glorious. Michelyn and Roja Dove shared that certain fragrances transported them back to a impressionable time in their lives. I can relate to this. I am constantly brought back to happy memories particularly with vintage old school frags. The scents of the 80’s seem to do this more than others. High School etc.

  • What I liked the most about Sebastian’s review was his description as this gorgeous perfume being a “Classic Gentleman’s Fragrances, sophisticated” , and the part that he emphasized that the citrusy notes made a really important role on the fragrance development. Fougere with a more citrusy approach is really delicious.
I think it’s very interesting how Michelyn described her feelings with her first experience with “Unspoken”, associating her olfactory memory with the fragrance itself and her mother. Also, I found really touching to discover that Roja Dove’s memories of his mother inspired him to make “A Goodnight Kiss”.
I Definitely get transported to my childhood everytime I smell a Classic Fougere or Aldehydic fragrances… they make me think of my grandparent’s garden and make up that my grandma used on that time… it’s always nostalgic to smell these kind of fragrances.

I would like to join this draw please. I’m really looking forward to try this beauty.

  • Sebastian’s enthusiasm for this scent is infectious! Honestly, perfumes don’t really hold a place of nostalgia for me because I was rarely around people who wore them when I was younger, and I only started wearing scent regularly as an adult. My aunt did and does, but she tends to prefer a very powdery scent that doesn’t appeal to me but I do come across scents that make me thing of her. I personally prefer to wear men’s scents, especially those that fall into vintage categories. Very excited to learn more about this house!

  • I like the way Sebastian describes the scent profile from the top to the base. He is a pro. I love classic chypre cologne. The smell remains me of my grandpa, he wore this type of perfume in my youth. I smelled this one few months ago an I liked it a lot. Thank you for a giveaway!

  • I love many Rojas but not this one. Sebastian’s reviews always helps me make informed purchase decisions on all my fragrances and the review of scandal is no different! I like lemon and lavender so the way he described it makes me feel like this one is worthy of at least a decant! Michelyns Roja encounter is cool because it brings up the fact that fragrances are liquid memoirs. My dad used to save perfume that was sent to be incinerated by the large manufacturers and that is how I was introduced to Ralph Lauren safari which was in a cool bottle as well as purple label. I would be depressed if I lost the sense of scent

  • therealgally says:

An eloquent description for what sounds like an eloquent creation! Sebastian touches on what resonates with the many of us fragrance lovers — an attachment to an olfactory memory. Fougeres will forever hold a place in fragrance history as being one of the mainstays in any fragrance lover’s wardrobe. Also, nice shirt, Sebastian!

I would like to be entered into this draw. MD, USA.

Thanks ÇaFleureBon and Sebastian! Happy holidays to everyone!

  • Very nice review from Sebastian. I’ve always wanted to try this fragrance and also other Roja’s creations but only had the chance on Creation-E. I have a few perfumes that teleports me to my highschool times (looong time ago :)), and one of them and probably the best is Obsession for men by CK. Thanks for the amazing giveaway, Oakland USA.

  • I loved Sebastian’s review!! I always loved fougere fragrances because it reminds me of my dad and my uncle, who passed away not so long ago. Before i got to know the world of fragrance, I always bought aftershave from gillete or barbersol to remind me of the scent.
Sebastian’s description of this fragrance was gorgeous and I would like to be entered in to a draw for an opportunity to try this fragrance.

  • I really liked Sebastian review and enjoyed reading about the inspiration behind a goodnight kiss. It would be my dream to meet Roja Dove. I wear elysium btw. I want to get my nose on this scandal for its top notes

  • Sebastian’s videos are always so well-spoken and organized. I can identify with both his and Michelyn’s scent memories. Remembering our loved one’s through our senses is precious. I continue to buy my mother perfumes as she ages to continue building memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you for the generous giveaway. Mr. Roja Dove indeed seems like such a warm, endearing gentleman as seen in a previous interview video with Sebastian.

  • Derodrick Rhodes says:

Texas Here: Great Video & Review as always. Sebastian put so much details and effort into reviewing the fragrance. We certainly need more reviewers filling his lead.

  • I liked how Sebastian related to his youth and the memories of the fougere’s his father and uncles wore. The fact that many of those have been “re-formulated” (thank you European Union) and how Sebastian feels this Roja brings back the memories of fragrances of the past makes you want this. I would like to meet Roja some day and ask a lot of questions. I hope Michelyn’s time with him was memorable. Yes, smells can transport you to another time. I live in Minnesota and hope to win.

  • Sebastian gives the best and most descriptive reviews of fragrance on YouTube! This article is fantastic and great to hear about folks interacting with perfumers and their journey and craft. Love content like this. Fragrance always transports me to memories and back in time. I remember my first time in Chicago at Barneys whenever I smell patchouli. It’s where I bought my first niche,L’artisan Patch. I can smell that fragrance from a mile away and it instantly brings me back!

  • Very intriguing review by Sebastian. Sounds like a fantastic, classic Fougere. I have not personally tried any of Roja Dove’s fragrances, and this sounds like it would be a great place to start. It would be wonderful to win a bottle, as the price for a 50ml is quite steep. It would be interesting to try this out against Luca Turin’s take on Scandal being a “routine aromatic fougere” he rated with only two stars.

  • Phuonghoangle says:

Really ẹnoy and learn so much from Sebastion review, i did blind buy so many from his review but it’s awesome. bcd I’m vietnamese, here have not much retail of niche perfume. With Roja i don’t dare to blind, but i do with elysium. i will collect Roja line step by step in future. Enigma on my wish list.

  • I love Sebastian’s passion for fougeres. Michelyn was lucky to meet a hero. My fragrances do not transport me most of the time. I just adore them. But, Jovan reminds me of my mom and Christmas giving her a bottle every year as a kid. White Linen, which still nauseates me, makes me think of my Great Aunt who wore it. And, Raghba is what I wore the day my dad died. He thought it was stinky. I wear it now to be close to him. He could smell it through his oxygen mask!

  • I Love aromatic fougere fragrances…Roja Parfums are highest level of perfumery fragrances…. i think this juice must be a masterpiece

  • It’s nice that both Sebastian and Michelyn both have pleasant scent memories from Roja Dove fragrances. Sebastian really had a heart felt moment in the video. Fragrances don’t necessarily transport me to another time, but sometimes they evoke memories, but not quite with that passion. The one that always stands out is Drakkar Noir, my dad used to wear it all the time when I was younger, so it brings back memories of my youth.

  • Andrew Parker says:

I love how Sebastian is always so in depth with his memories and description of fragrances. Also he is always honest and has a very refined nose! Would love to try Scandal out

  • I like when Sebastian shares, and liked how barbershop scents remind him of his father. Certain lily (I think) scents reminds me of the jergen’s Lotion my mom would wear, and Chanel #5 of my grandmother. I would love to smell a good night’s kiss, I’m in the us

  • Monica Beaton says:

Always love Sebastian’s informative and entertaining reviews. Great story Michelyn. Yes, scent can bring you instantly back to a place and time – whether happy or sad. Fragrant memories can be wonderful or distressing. I have my own triggers. Vanilla, almonds and certain spices transport me to Saturday afternoons baking with my Mom. I live in Australia.

  • Wowwwwww, what a great give away, I love how Sebastian explained this perfume, the olfactove memory is the strongest feeling, and According to Sebastian it’s done right with this perfume. It would be a dream come true to get perfume and enjoy all those good thing, my grandfather passed away a year ago and he was a fan of aromatic perfumes and I hope if I win this perfume it will remind me of him, thanks for this great give away! I’m from California USA

  • I love the entirety of how the perfume sounds! Frankly, I misread the bottle originally as “Sandal” and figured it would be a sandalwood dominated fragrance (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I love sandalwood), but this is WAYYYY more complex and classy sounding than a completely sandalwood dominated fragrance. When Sebastian says it smells like a “classic gentleman’s fragrance of yesteryear”, I knew I wanted to try it. I fancy myself a bit of a classic gentleman, despite the fact that I do not dress in the traditional “gentlemanly” fashion, I am pretty well known for having sophisticated and classic tastes. I do find it interesting that both Sebastian and you, Michelyn, made a point of pointing out that this fragrance transported you to a previous time. This phenomena happens to me as well, but it’s definitely interesting that it was such a profound thing with this particular fragrance that you both pointed it out. In any case, I’ve got my fingers crossed that I can try it out! I’m from Michigan, USA.

  • What an amazing give away.I love how Sebastian paints a detail picture of an outstanding gentleman classy fragrance. I would cry if I was able to own this fragrance. I am in the USA, CA.

  • What an amazing give away.I love how Sebastian details a masterful picture of an outstanding gentleman classy fragrance. I would cry if I was able to own this fragrance. I am in the USA, CA.

  • Gabriel Garcia says:

Nice to hear that mychelin’s memory about her mother got revived with one of the Roja’s, And Sebastian says that it is a bit of a vintage in it.
I’m sure I love the fougere, with Paco rabanne as my first very love.
I have very limited experience trying to sample them, the only two are, elysium and midnight summers dream.
    Las Vegas NV.

  • Sebastian always evokes a scent to me where I feel like I can actually smell it. He is so articulate when it comes to fragrance and his impressions. Michelyn’s scent memory totally brought me back to my youth and smelling my mom’s bottle of L’air du temps. Scent triggers so many memories for me as I’ve been obsessed with perfume from a young age.

  • Starts right off the bat – haha…Sebastian is so good.Bought so much fragrances because of his reviews ..
Juicy lemon, floral notes ,woody tonka and leather in the base – thank you Sebastian , i need this one in my life
The only full bottle Roja Dove fragrance that i own is Risque for men – phenomenal scent , and the best Roja Dove fragrance i’m familiar with , and one of the best fragrance i’ve ever smelled. It’s marketed for men only, but it’s 100% unisex to me-as a woman i don’t have a problem wearing it.In US is known as Creation R….don’t know why?!?
The fragrance that always transports me to another time is vintage Poison.
Best wishes to all of you , and tnx for this fantastic giveaway.
    Cheers from VA

  • I love sebastian’s explanation that is exited, realistic and he speaks of memories too. I think this kind of smell or DNA will be nostalgic for many. Michelyn had one of those experiances too. I think that scent is something we can associate a memory with and I have had the experiance before, but have never smelled a Roja.I live in the USA and thank you for this giveaway.

  • Love Sebastian’s way of describing scents and the emotions that they evoke….thanks for the giveaway…love the “gentlemen scent” association with this fragrance.

    Thanks.

  • In this review Sebastian has a way of illustrating Roja Scandal to the point you can almost smell it through the video and end up transported with him through the timeline of his fragrance journey. Michelyn is able to do the exact same thing, except with words in place of video. Scents are like placeholders in time and for me and can instantly send your mind off on a tangent into past people places or things

  • I’ve never owned a Roja Dove but I hear they are elite! I enjoyed Sebastian’s review and how he relates the fragrance to his listeners. A fragrance that transports me is CK One. It’s one that my mother wore in the 90’s so it takes me 20 years back. Thank you for the chance to smell like a classic gentleman! Arkansas

  • Thanks for another great review, Sebastian! What I love about your review is that you mentioned that this scent is all about the opening, which is nice. Oftentimes we judge fragrances based on their top notes and I’m glad this is a classic fougere from the beginning. What Sebastian and Michelyn said was true for me- fragrances transport me to another time. Fougere scents remind me of my dad and white florals of my mom, growing up everybody I know loved wearing perfumes and these scents conjures good memories. I’d love to win this beautiful fragrance. Thanks for this opportunity. – California, USA

  • Fougeres are a favorite of mine, like Sebastian. Relating to that is the thing that makes the review stand out the most. In US.

  • saadfragrance says:

Honestly one that maybe reminds me of my youth is kouros anyways umm sebastian really helped me understand the essence of scandal by roja and i would love to win but again lets see haha, i would love this dearly if i do win a bottle

  • If I would own the Perfume Store I will hire Sebastian as an Advertising Manager and We will became millionaire!

  • ENjoyed the review by Sebastian. Haven’t tried a Roja Parfum yet and this one sounds good. A spicy fougere I believe. Thanks for the giveaway. U.S

  • I liked that Sebastian mentioned how Roja fragrances change over time because it is true! Roja’s story about Goodnight Kiss is very interesting. Normally a scent makes memories but this time the memory made the scent. Fragrances often transport me to a time and place, especially fragrances I wore when traveling.

  • I adorer Sebastian reviews! Nice and very simply!
I have same opinion as Sebastian-very juicy lemon, nice lavender and fresh mint and tarragon. Very elegant masculine fragrance.
It was interesting to know Michelyn’s and Sebastian’s memories making by Scandal pour Homme. My memories with this perfume is my good friend who wear Dior Sauvage.
    US, DE

  • I enjoyed how he remembers his childhood and can make a link with this fragrance. The fact that it smells like a classy fougere is awesome. Me being young, I have no experience in that type of smell, and since it’s a Roja Dove creation, it must smell so regal. And it’s amazing reading about Michelyn having the same reaction and linking that fragrance to her past. I haven’t tried any Roja Dove creation buy I would be the happiest if o win this. Thanks. At USA

  • Fantastic straight to the point no BS reviews. Keep up the good reporting! I haven’t sampled this particular fragrance yet buuuutt….I have a friend that called and said it was fabulous and quite unique!

  • Absolutely I want to be part of this Giveaway, I love Roja Parfum! Always enjoy and support Sebastian channel, I have learned a lot from him.

  • I once had a sample of this fragrance. And I agree with Sebastian’s opinion. It is certainly a refined and elegant and very comfortable fragrance. Scandal is something like the resultant combination of the Dior classics – Diorissimo and Eau Sauvage from Robert Piguet’s Cravache. The whole is masterfully balanced and classically beautiful. It reminds me of a May walk in the forest after rain among the Lily of the Valley …

  • Amazing review as always. Thanks Sebastian!
I love aromatic fougere too- sounds very interesting citrusy, elegant lavender, mint and little woody!!! I saw Scandal pyramid- very rich !!!
I liked memories of Michelyn and Sebastian Jara.
Thus perfume remind me springs when I was teenager)))
    US

  • I love his review and the joy he has describing this fragrance. The excitement of being transported back to his childhood. Michelyn I think is transported to a past time and I too feel like fragrance is a time machine that’s able to take us vividly back to times often long forgotten. I have never smelled a Roja but I am going to be purchasing one soon. I live in Arizona

  • I love where is says ‘Roja Parfums Scandal Pour Homme recalls the elegant classic vintage aromatic fougeres of past eras and the colognes that his father and uncles wore; for hours he is transported to his youth and to more elegant times.
I love how Roja Dove paid tribute to his mom through his perfume.
I have not experienced being transported to another time by any perfume yet.

    I live in California.

  • I always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I’ve always wanted to own a Roja Parfums fragrance. This one sounds so incredible. The drydown/base is so complex with spices and woods. I am definitely putting this one on my wishlist because it is exactly the kind of fragrance I am looking for for the winter.
    I live in the USA.

  • Every time i’m watching one of Sebastians videos i do have a feeling i’m smelling the fragrance he’s reviewing on my arm.A long time subscriber since very early days of his old channel Man Loves Cologne.
Sabastian was obviously moved by Scandal Pour Homme, and that’s RARE.Tart lemon+herbal notes+ licorice+lavender and leathery touch with tonka…sounds ultra good.
Not all , but most Roja Dove fragrances are very complex.
    Thank you for this draw.
I am a fan of Roja Dove fragrances-own full bottles of Parfum Version of Enigma/Creation-E and vintage version of Bergamot Extrait -by FAR the best bergamot fragrance ever imo … unfortunately discontinued 🙁
    I do follow all of you on Instagram @cafleurebon , @lookfeelsmellgreat @rojaparfums , @official_europerfumes .I also follow @rojadove and @hauteparfumerie .
“if perfume transports you to your youth or another time”
Yes – Vetiver Guerlain for men can do this.Is was my father’s signature scent for a long-long time.He was bathing in it when i was young. He’s still wearing it by the way.

  • middleagedandmixed says:

Sebastian describes Scandal as a blend of juicy lemon, lavender and spearmint which immediately tugs on my heart strings as I find that combination to a lovely fragrant trifecta. Most times, I’ll mix those very same essential oils at home in my diffuser. Also, I love it when a fragrance transports you back in time as Roja’s Scandal and Unspoken did for Sebastian and Michelyn, respectively. Fragrance does that for me all the time whether it’s perfume, a meal, a walk in the park, campfire, etc.

  • Interesting review Sebastian Sir. I haven’t tried this offering from Roja yet, but it’s certainly on my list to sample next year. A few fragrances have the ability to transport me back in time. In fact, I keep a back up bottle of Hugo by Hugo Boss (my first fragrance) to recall my college years. I also keep a bottle of Polo Green to remind me of my childhood. A few of my uncles wore it heavily with gusto. Thanks for throwing this giveaway. Best of luck to everyone, cheers and happy holidays from CT.

  • I love Sebastian’s videos! You can clearly see how knowledgeable and passionate he is about fragrances! What I loved about his Fetish review was how he broke down the notes as the fragrance progresses and makes it sound so appealing! Thanks for the draw! I’m located in AL, USA.

  • Not sure how to edit comments, but I mistakenly referred to Sebastian’s review of Scandal as “Fetish”. Please don’t count this as another entry. My apologies.

  • I loved Sebastian’s review!! I loved how he talked why he always loved fougere fragrances because of his family relation

    Cheers from New York

  • I love a fragrance with stong lemon notes. I am always searching for a gentleman’s fragrance that reveals just how put-together and how sharp the wearer is. For me, its Gucci No.1. I think it was marketed to women in the seventies, but this fragrance just says “I am in control.” I only have a little bit left in my bottle. I save it for days when I am going to be challenged, like catching flights or working overtime.
    I live in the USA.

  • Sebastian is very detail oriented in his reviews. It sounds like Michelyn had a great “liquid memory” which is what I especially love about fragrances. Walking by someone or testing something out that brings back memories of my loved ones. I love fougere fragrances, especially one’s that are reminiscent of what men from yesteryear wore. Reminds me of walking into a old time barbershop, the barber strops their straight razor and performs a shave in which you smoothly shaven for days. Those were the days! Thank you for the opportunity to win such a fantastic fragrance. I live in the USA – IL.

  • Classically inspired fragrances I like a lot .Interesting composition no doubt-sweet and tart lemon, mint ,lavender and tonka bean. This fragrance brought so much childhood memories to mr Yara , and a nice potion of excitement. The bottle looks stunning , and on a different level compared to Elysium pour Homme my husband loves so much. Unfortunately Elysium the only Roja Dove fragrance I know.Bois de Portugal always transports me to my childhood with grandpa. Thanks for the opportunity and to mr Yara for the review.Usa

  • Sebastian always covers all basis of each fragrance. He usually does not review anything too liner. That’s what makes niche fragrances better than designers. This is something that takes me back in time. Thanks from the USA

I love how Sebastian takes us through the progression of the fragrance through the drydown. Roja perfumes are so complex with different facets emerging. What an interesting creation with mint, basil, and rhubarb being some unique touches.

  • Sebastian’s reviews are my favorite of any fragrance reviewer I especially enjoy his variety of fragrances. He is one of the few reviewers who regularly reviews Roja Dove, and I appreciate that. This review is special because Scandal is special, and Sebastian is completely right about the feeling it invokes. Scandal is one of my favorites from the pour homme line, and Sebastian’s review does it justice.
