Roja Parfums Musk Aoud Review (2015) + It’s All About the Base Draw

Naomi Campbell Herb Ritts 1991

There are stories about Josephine Bonaparte and her love of heavy musks, which she used to scent print the lustful and wayward Napoleon.  According to legend, Napoleon dispatched this message to her after every campaign: “don't wash, I'm on my way". Musk can be transforming in a perfume with the power to refine, extend and balance or it can be the essence of sex.  Musk is the odor of attraction, of sensuality, of wealth, and is the base upon which most perfumes are constructed. Roja Parfums Musk Aoud, composed in 2015 is one of the best musk fragrances we have found… yes there is aoud but it a supporting player in this Extrait de Parfum.

Rihanna at the VMAs© 2007

There is a hint of rose, but ambrette (botanical which mimics the scent of musk) and leather combine at the base with Roja Dove’s musk accord in Roja Parfums Musk Aoud. There is elegance to this fragrance; the leather is reminiscent of supple suede gloves, that are slowly peeled off finger by finger.

  • I love rose and musk and oud! Musk Musk and Musk cracked me up. I also like the SEXY. My fave Roja is also MUSK — Enslaved. But, my second is the carnation bomb Karenina. My other fave musks are Boudoir and Salome.

  • Vincent Champion says:

I like how he emphasizes that it’s all about the base which always helps us remember that sometime you really have to wait to see how a fragrance evolves before judging it. My current favorite Roja is Danger. My favorites musk fragrances are Dior Bois D’Argent and Musc Ravageur

  • saadfragrance says:

I never win anything 🙁 but i’ll give it my best shot. I love sebastians way of describing perfumes just love it his way of describing the leather in the perfume was very provocative and well appreciated. I love rasasi boruzz musk and yes i love amber aoud by roja , hoping i win, from the usa

  • I love the fact that this fragrance develops from the beginning to the dry down . I love Roja Dove Midsummer’s Dream and Elysium. Plus a few others from the house. I love how Sebastian explains the fragrance.

  • Robert Cunningham says:

I loved Sebastian’s review. He is spot on in his description of this beautiful fragrance. I’m hoping I win!

  • dextercharles85 says:

As always Sebastian’s passion and love for fragrance is displayed through his reviews and his review of Roja’s Musk Aoud is no different. Musk is a note that I’m slowly getting into and enjoying a lot. How he describes this fragrance is amazing and really a musk try haha. The dry down sounds so sexy and I would love to have it. Thanks for the opt-inopportunity to win this fragrance.

  • I love a good musk and I am starting to get into oud so this would definitely be interesting especially if I dries down to a nice smooth leather I love leather. I haven’t tried much from roja but they are definitely quality from what I have tried but they are not easy on the bank. I hop I get a chance to sample this gorgeous fragrance. Thank you for the giveaway. Keep up the good work! I am in the USA in AZ.

  • Such a rave review and so many ingredients involved! This house is amazing. I do not own something from them but really hope to win! I also don’t have any musk fragrances or much experience in smelling them.

  • Sebastian is my favorite reviewer, I trust his nose!

That base note list just keeps going and going! WA

  • yungcherrypops says:

Loved Sebastian’s review: as always, short, sweet, to the point, but very descriptive. I’ve only tried Roja Dove’s Creation-E and it was absolutely amazing. Admittedly musk is not my favorite but I do like Narciso Rodriguez’s For Him, so I think I’m warming to it. Would love to try this and smell that sensuous drydown.

  • middleagedandmixed says:

Sebastian described Roja’s Musk Aoud as a “musk to die for.” Who would not want to try that? I’m also intrigued by the suede like quality of the leather note that he mentioned. I have yet to try anything from Roja but would love to. I do enjoy musk fragrances and actually have a few on my wishlist after watching Sebastian’s Top 20 Musk video.

  • I liked how Sebastian acknowledged how pricey the fragrance is but focused on what it actually smells like. I also enjoyed how he breaks down the progression of the fragrance and highlighted the presence of ambrette, a note that i am not familiar with. I love musk fragrances, my favorite Roja is Amber Aoud. I live in the USA.

  • Kyle Karnes says:

I loved Sebastian’s review of this fragrance like I love all of his videos. He goes into such good detail about the notes and how the fragrance performs. I’d love to win such a great fragrance.

  • Joey Grillo says:

What I liked is that Sebastian loved it and that Michelyn taught me about scent printing. I would win and scent print my wife
My favorite Roja is elysiuum and musk is atelier cologne musk Imperiele

  • Huge fan of Roja Parfums. My favorites would have to be United Arab Emirates & Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
I truly do love Sebastian & his reviews! I look forward to getting YouTube notifications from his channel. He paints such a gorgeous picture of the fragrances he reviews & the way he holds himself if great. Knowledgeable, approachable, lovable. Thank you for the opportunity to win this gem!

  • I really enjoyed Sebastian video and so excited by his beautiful and emotional description.
I find so many aspects for fallibg love with this perfume – sexy musk, sweet and cozy leather, beautiful ambery sweetness.
    I lije musky perfumes.
From Roja I like Enigma pour Homme.
    US

  • I like that Sebastian emphasizes this fragrance is sexy and seductive. It better be at that price lol! Kidding aside, I love this house, my favorite from them is their original Aoud. I love musk too so I really want to try this. Cheers from Indiana, USA.

  • Christopher Juliana says:

I love Sebastian’s enthusiasm for fragrance. The way he describes it is always spot on. Great content and film quality. The only fragrance I’ve smelled from Roja is Creation E and I love it! Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Arturo Ramos says:

I like sebastian videos, because, all of them os pretty honest videos, and i am agree with pretty much all of them, i bought a lot of perfums just because saw sebastian’s videos, i like amber aoud, UAE KINGDOM, AND C R EATION E, AND WILL LOVE TO OWN A FULL BOTTLE OF ROJA.
    AND MUSK AOUD SOUNDS AMAZING.

  • Ivan.napoleon says:

I love musky fragances, and dont have any Roja fragrance yet
Id love to try this one sebastian s review great as usual Miami Florida Thanks

  • Sebastian did a great review on this fragrance (like he does with all fragrances) I love musk and amber fragrances, so this fragrance sounds great! Thank you for the opportunity of this giveaway! Stay blessed!

  • Another great review by Sebastian.as always he’s review on this on was spot on.great enthusiastic love the way he describes. this is the sexiest musk leather smell without any doubt out there.I had the chance to sniff it once and I fall in love right after.I would love to have it.

  • RobertNicolasB says:

Great review and love the lengthy list of base notes in this one. Absolutely love a scent that evolves throughout each wearing. I only have Midsummer’s Dream at the moment, but really want to get my nose on this and Elysium.

  • Wow! One of Sebastians highest ratings for a perfume. Like he he mentioned on the bass notes “good things come…for those who wait.” Actually, that should’ve been Rojas advertising quote. I’ve never smelled any of Rojas perfume. This would be a grand win for me!
    U.S.A.

  • Rodney Wallace says:

I love how Sebastian explains the progression of the notes. I’ve had a chance to smell Musk Aoud and I was completely blown away! It’s truly one of the sexiest fragrances I’ve encountered. I would love to win this giveaway because this fragrance is one of my “Holy Grail” wishes. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • Randall Ainsworth says:

I enjoy Sebastians description of the fragrance notes. A lot of fragrance reviewers don’t go into detail about fragrance notes. The leather and suede sounds amazing. I hope I win.

  • Jeffrey Taylor says:

I likeed his review because the way he describes the scent makes me want to try it. I do not own any Rona fragrances nor do I own any Musk fragrances so I really need to try more! Keep up the great work

  • Roger Engelhardt says:

Sebastian never ceases to be a very knowledgeable and entertaining reviewer. I own one of Roja Dove’s perfumes, the original M by Puredistance that I bought in 2010 when it was first released. It is a 17 ml silver flask. It is extremely strong, 2 sprays is one too many!! In all these years, I dont think I have used more than 1ml, it is only for very special occasions.
Musky that I own, Musk Tonkin, Salome, Parfums Quartana Wolfsbane, DSH Lilas de minuit.
Thanks for an opportunity for the draw.
    I am in USA.

  • Great review from Sebastian as always. I love a lot the musk type fragrances and one of my favourites is Musc Imperial from Atelier Cologne a really nice fragrance. From the Roja house sadly but i’ve only had the chance to test Creation E and was simply amazing. Also the Roja bottles are pure luxury, stunning. Thanks for this great chance

  • fazalcheema says:

Sebastian mentions this is a musky fragrance but has also suedey leather side to it, something I imagine we encounter in cuir ottoman and chanel cuir de russie, too. I like Danger from Roja and of the musky perfumes I have tried, I enjoy kiehl’s original musk, Narciso musk for him oil, and Lutens MKK. I am in US.

  • I would really love to win. I really need a aod fragrance and love musk and leather ! I have never smelled a roja and want to so badly.

I even wanted to be helpful so I found a spelling mistake in the article ! “DISCLOSURE: Sebastian received his bottle of of Roja Parfums Musk Aoud for review, jhis opinions are his own ”

There is a j in front of ” his opinions are his own”

I am a usa resident and love this opportunity. Best wishes

  • Chuck Goodpaster says:

Wow!!! What a giveaway! My favorite musk is Dior Homme. Love all of Sebastian’s videos. He always jntroduces me to scents just not found in Kentucky. Thank you for the opportunity!!

  • oh and I love Sebastien’s honest reviews and I like how he talks about the major notes or accords and how he envisions the fragrance.

I have never smelled a Roja and love musk perfumes !

  • I’ve recently just been introduced to roja enigma being my first I’d love to try more however cost is a factor even some samples are pretty expensive I’d love to one day own a fb. I always look to Sebastian’s opinion before making niche purchases. I’m in USA and good luck to everyone!

  • Derodrick Rhodes says:

Another Great Review. I’m a musk lover and would definitely like to win the free bottle. Some of the base notes are my favorite notes in a fragrance. Sebastian you’ve done it again with another great review!!!

  • I’m glad that it has a leathery base. I haven’t tried anything from Roja and, if lucky, would love to try this. Thanks for another fabulous draw! USA

  • I have smelled one sample of this house Roja and it is great fragrance. Yes, praying to win though I knew someone luckier than me. Sebastian i am one your avid fans. You’re connoisseur of scents has influenced me buying the right one. Thank you and goodluck everyone.

  • jim sireika says:

Nice review, I am extremely curious about this fragrance and would love a bottle of it. I have Ambre Aoud and it is quite luxurious.

  • Amazing review Sebastien. I’m musk lover and will love to win that free bottle. Some of the base notes are my favorite. Thanks Sebastien

  • Its always a pleasure to watch Sebastian reviews. He is so good with words and a lot of passion in what he says. I love musk fragrances and my favorite Roja is Parfum de La Nuit 3 until now.

  • SheogorathWaldo says:

As always, enjoy reviews by Sebastian. I have come to really enjoy musk perfumes recently, especially after my first exposure to the Khiel’s Original musk. Aksum by Pryn Parfum is one of my favorite musky fragrances, and many of my homeland attempts have been centered around strong musks.

As for Roja Dove fragrances, I haven’t been able to try much but I really enjoy my tiny tiny sample of Midsummer Dream. Maybe one day I’ll be able to snag a bottle.

  • I loved Sebastian’s video because there wasn’t one note he discussed I don’t love. I was especially excited by his describing a rose heart (my favorite floral), amber that moves into cozy suede, then a sexy ambrette / musk dry down (and that the oud isn’t overpowering.)
My favorite Roja I’ve ever tried is Roja Haute Luxe, but I also really love Risque.
    I live in the US.

  • Another awesome review by Sebastian. Musk, Oud and Rose are my favorite notes in any bottle. I currently own Aoud Musk by Montale but I feel like overall composition is missing something and notes break down are no where near what Sebastian explained for Roja’s version of the Musk Aoud. Definitely want to try it. In it to win it! fingers crossed!

  • Great review by Sebastian. Have heard a lot about roja dove fragrances but never had a chance to try any of them except Elysium which I really enjoyed. This one sounds really interesting. Would love to have this in my collection. From NY

  • I love all of Sebastions’ reviews, this one is no exception. He does great job of describing the soul of the fragrance as well as the notes. I love musk in perfumes. I especially love fragrances based around the deep bases notes. Something about woods, leathers, oud, and deep musk is so intoxicating. I never even smelled a Roja perfume though I have heard a lot about the brand. I fear I might go into debt if I catch whiff of one in a shop. If i win this the fragrance would be the trophy of my collection, not just because of the brand, but because this is my favorite profile for a perfume.
    Arizona

  • Sampled this one a few years ago and it is beautiful beyond description. Sebastian absolutely nailed the breakdown as he always does. He definitely right that you must wait for the dry down. Absolute magic. My picks are Amber Aoud and Creation-E. Gorgeous blends.

  • tuiu silver says:

What I loved the most about Sebastian’s review, was his description on Musk facets that this beautiful fragrance have.
Got me really intrigued to try it, specially because I’m a “Musk Lover”, and I haven’t tried this type of combination in a Musk predominant fragrance.
The drydown sounded really delightful: “Sensual, cozy, with a big presence of woody notes”. That part really got my attention haha.
I have tried the “Roja Dove Enigma (E Creation) For Her”, and definitely loved it. Became my favorite from the house the very first time that I sniffed it.

I would like to join the draw please.

  • I like the way Sebastian had the notes of the fragrance going by on the screen as he described the fragrance. I felt that was a great touch and a way for the audience to get an idea of how the scent smells overall. Musk is an interesting note because if done right it can really create something magical. The only Roja Parfums I’ve tried was Elysium and that is on my wish list as well.

  • What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s review was the way he explained all of the dominant notes in this fragrance and their progression from the opening to the dry down. I appreciate his take on the main notes since they are slightly different from what some sites list as the main players. I don’t own any fragrances from Roja Parfums as I just recently started wearing and collecting niche fragrances, but I would love to add one to my collection.

  • Well I have only smelled one Musk fragrance that has really caught my interest! That fragrance is Musc Ravaguer. Absolutely love but after listening to Sebastion’s review! This is one I would definitely like to get my nose on! Have not smelled or owned any Roja fragrances but the one I have heard that sounds interested in Creation E!

  • Honestly I’m not a big fan of musk based perfumes, but watching Sebastian’s review has really made want to try this fragrance by Roja

  • LOVE Sebastian’s reviews! And I love musk fragrances. I have never tried anything from Roja but this perfume sounds amazing. Such complex notes that really capture my interest are nutmeg, sandalwood, vanilla and tonka bean. I really want to smell this one!
    I live in the USA

  • Following Sebastian’s review of Musk Aoud, I went in search for more opinions. It is rare to see such a consensus that a perfume is truly a masterpiece. I hope to have a chance to sniff it. It sounds marvelous.

  • Michelle Eigen says:

Such an intriguing scent! I must smell this. I am a huge fan of musk, oud and leather. So many notes in this juice get me excited and let’s face it – $750 is a lot to pay for anything. But Sebatian get’s my wheels turning about how I can get my hands on this one.

Thank you for another great video Sebatian!

  • I appreciate the review. For some reason I thought this was a huge animalic scent that couldn’t be worn around people. Now I’m eager to get my nose on it and see what it’s about.

  • Love musk fragrances and Roja. Never sample this one Sebastian and appreciate your review of this on your channel. Would love to own a bottle of this, thanks again for wisdom of fragrances.

  • Unfortunately it’s not easy to smell any Rojas where I live, but I do love how Sebastian describes musk Aoud in a way that I feel like I can almost smell it myself – sebastian has created smell-o-vision!!! I do lreally love Roja Elysium, Danger and I own creation-e.

  • I love this fragrance and Sebastian mention the most important part of experiencing this freagance: “Great things comes for those who wait”

This develops into a gorgeous unique fragrance after the first ~15 min of sting animalistic opening.

    Love the uniqueness

  • As always, love Sebastian’s reviews. I was surprised to hear that the dry down was leather as I would have expected more of the our to come through. Regardless, it still sounds super appealing. Thanks for the giveaway. I live in California, USA.

  • Relish your reviews. Absolutely love Roja Dove, my initial loves were E, puredistance M, and Fetish. Although I like M more than I like Fetish. Keep bringing us fantastic reviews, your channel appears the most polished and that is much appreciated.

  • Sounds wonderful. Sebastian does an incredible job of describing how the fragrance develops. Makes it sound unbelievable. I live in the United States, AZ

  • Lilseanpaul says:

As always, sebastian explains thoroughly what the perfume is about and how the notes interact with each other.

  • I always look to Sebastian for his suggestions when watching fragrance reviews! My favorite part about his review is that he kept the video short and sweet while describing the fragrance in great detail, which is not easy an easy thing to do especially since this is a Roja fragrance with a ton of notes! Also, i’m really starting to get into the note of musk recently especially in the colder weather, and I hope i can make Musk Aoud my first musk fragrance!

  • Qari Bukhsh says:

Sounds so good. Sebastian does a good nose to describe a scent to someone who’s never smelled it. I live in the United States, AZ

  • I enjoyed Sebastians’s review. I’m glad that he emphasized that although it is called Musk Oud that you don’t get very much Oud, but more musk and ambrette. If Sebastian says that “it’s a musk to die for” then you better believe him because he has impeccable taste and his knowledge of fragrance is spot on. I love that the base notes drive this fragrance. Thanks for the opportunity and I live in the US! 🙂

  • Sebastian got me with the “smooth soft suede like leather “ dry down. As always Sebastian’s review sparked a desire to try this fragrance. Thank you for the opportunity.
    Fort Lauderdale, Fl

  • As I get back into the fragrance scene, being able to watch such a passionate reviewer like Sebastian gives me options to look into, and helps add to the list of fragrances I want to smell.
I haven’t gotten to really sniff any musk fragrances but when a trusted reviewer says that it might be one of his favorite musks, that makes it an intriguing scent to try out.
My favorite Roja is Creation-E, and really liked Elysium.
Thanks for the opportunity. I live in Renton, WA.

  • It’s all about the base, yes it is. I love musks and winning a Roja creation with musk would be quite a gift. USA

  • I really enjoy Sebastian’s enthusiasm and that’s one reason why I keep watching his videos. Musk Aoud sounds incredible. I haven’t put my nose on it but I love musk and leather fragrances and the dry down sounds like a beautiful musky leather – so luxurious and sexy. My favorite Roja would be Elysium but I could never afford a full bottle. Thanks for the opportunity to win such a lavish fragrance! Arkansas, USA

  • As a fragrance newcomer, Sebastian’s reviews are very palatable and consumable. He makes everything sound interesting and I learn a little something every time, this review was no exception.

  • Loved Sebastian’s video and enthusiasm! Musk Aoud sounds wonderful! thank you for the chance to win. “I will wait because good things happen”!!I live in the US.

  • I have not tried any of Rojas but Elysium. Good stuff. I do love musk and the way Sebastian described it got me very excited. I would love to try this one.

  • Chase Dickinson says:

Honestly, my favorite part of the review was how giddy and downright excited Sebastian gets at the beginning when he says, “Musk, musk, musk”! He obviously loves this note, and his joy is infectious! I hope I win because it sounds like this fragrance is just as infectious as Sebastian’s joy. My favorite Roja Dove is Vetiver Extrait and I live in the USA. Thank you so much for the opportunity!

  • I liked his description of the scents progression with time. That was lovely. As for musk scent, funnily, I’ve tried a lot & my favorite is the black musk body spray (not the EDT) by Jovan. It was totally unexpected but it reacts so well with my skin, it is charming!

  • I knew this was going to be a good review. Sebastian looked very excited from the get go. Thank you for the very informative review and breakdown of Musk Aoud! I’ve had smelled Amber aoud and creation – e which to me smells amazing. I’m no perfume expert but I can smell quality. from CA, USA.

  • Sebastian sure made it clear this is his favorite MUSK scent.Sebastian’s knowledge of fragrances helps me understand and learn more about them. My current favorite Rojas’s is Enigma.

  • Just Add Light says:

Animalic musks have never been my thing. That said, my olfactory sensitivity and preferences have long since developed to the point where I can finally appreciate quasi-daring scents. Musk Aoud seems to be one of those. Love how Sebastian says that good things come to those who wait. So true with scents that have deep and saturating bases. Was expecting this one to be a bit more musky, but I’m sure glad that it sounds like it’s more leathery and woody. Sexy, sexy stuff. Now I’m definitely in the mood. Pun intended. lol Favourtie from the house is Enigma! NC-USA.

  • I love Musc fragrances.. but Roja Dove is very expensive..This house is highest level of perfumery

  • What I enjoyed most about Sebastian’s videos is his honesty. If he loves something he expresses and if he doesn’t….he’s not scared to say it. He has a great nose and good taste. His enthusiasm in this video was very contagious and made me wish I could afford to blind but this fragrance. For one, I love Muskier scents and the fact that he starts off with citrusy and turns into rose with the mush sounds incredible. Please keep up the great work!

  • The Sebastian YouTube channel is the only one that I subscribed because of quality reviews and having almost same appetite for perfumes.

My favorite from the house is Creation E and I should say never smelled this one.

Creation elegant perfumes with using too many notes most of the times is almost impossible (the one who know math can understand me). Roja Dove is the one does it as an art.

Thanks for the chance and I live in Houston, TX.

  • I love that Sebastian treats all fragrances with equal respect and curiosity, no matter the price point. We often think there is price we would not pay beyond for a fragrance but they are all worth sampling because, face it, most of us perfume lovers have paid above that level for a favorite that speaks to us in a way that no other scent has! I love Musk and, to show that price point doesn’t matter in the other direction….my husband wears Jovan Musk for Men; just about the cheapest you can buy at $20 for 8 ounces but it is gorgeous on him and has been for 40 years! I am in the US.

  • “”Good things come to those who wait.” So true! Sebastian’s review makes me want to experience that dry down, especially the leather elements. My fave Roja is Fetish Pour Homme. Pricey bottle, but definitely worth it. I live in the US. Thanks to CaFleureBon and Europerfumes for this spectacular giveaway!

  • I always like Sebastian’s review. This one was so beautiful. His description was so enthusiastic, that I immediately wanted to go shop and tested Musk Aoud, which one I ignor everytime, becouse I felt in love with Amber Aoud.
I like leather and musk, so I hope this new sniff will help to love this perfume.
I like Fetish pour Homme and Amber Aoud from Roja Perfums.
    US

  • mikegithiomi says:

i love all of sebastians reviews. but this is a fragrance i have been dreaming of for years. i would love to win this and smell what true luxury means. my favorite roja purfums is creation e. a perfect fragrance.
i live in Atlanta Georgia USA.

  • I trust Seb’s reviews about fragrances and this one about Roja Dove Musk is no exception, he described it wonderfully and made me want to try it!!
I have tried ELYSIUM from ROJA and its amazing! I cannot wait to try this one! I AM USA BASED thank you for opportunity!

  • Jesse Livingston says:

Another great review from Sebastian. I’ve never personally had anything from Roja Dove however I have had family with Musk/Aoud fragerances and the smell is so unqiue and It would be such a huge deal to win a bottle like that exspecially Roja Dove Aoud Musk. Would be the best day ever!!!! Good luck to everyone on this draw!!

  • doowtnehpets says:

I enjoyed how excited Sebastian got about the fragrance before he reviewed it. He seemed almost anxious. Never tried any Roja Dove. I enjoy musk, mostly like white musk.

  • as always, top shelf review from Sebastian. musk aoud is without a doubt is in my top 3 of all rojas and I’ve tried many. it could be #1. its that good. I happen to be down to my last sprays in current bottle so trying my luck at this draw. thanks for entering me

  • Andrea Areingdale says:

I have tried and own some samples of Roja … the fragrances are exquisite and the longevity it’s auperb.
Would love to own a bottle of this amazing musk

  • I love how Sebastian describes the feeling and emotion of the fragrances and what kind of moods the fragrance evokes. Sexy, musk, leather, floral, spicy all in one bottles seems too good to be true. My favorite Roja Parfums fragrance so far is Fetish Pour Homme. Its fresh, creamy, spicy almost gourmand, but its also musky and animalic. As Sebastian says, “Delicious”.

  • Thanks for the contest.

Always enjoy Sebastian’s reviews. I’m about animalic fragrance lover so this sounds very nice. I did enjoy Sebastian saying even though it has aoud in the name aoud is not the star player.

My favorite from Roja Dove is Diaghilev.

    I’m in the US.

  • I really loved honsebastian explains all the notes, it’s really great!!! I dont have an Roja pefumes but this sounds very interesting and I hope I win it!!!!! AND YESSSSS I LOOOVEEEEE MUSSSKKKK
    IM FROM CALIFORNIA USA

  • Charles Alexander says:

Sebastian always does a wonderful job of reviewing fragrances,I usually order samples of the one he reviews.

  • We always have similar frag taste but really looking forward to smellinh this hopefully i get picked for once

  • Always love Sebastian’s reviews, his knowledge and honesty. I like musk, tho i can’t always smell it (Narciso smelled great on the SA, but we both agreed that it did not smell the same on me!) would love to try this, the notes that Sebastian spoke of sounds great together. I do not have a fav musk frag yet…. Perhaps this will be the one! In the US, thanks for the generous draw, and fab images in the article!, add always!

  • I love Roja’s vetiver. And I love Musk perfumes! Thanks to Cafleurebon and Sebastian for the giveaway, I’m really curious to smell the leather notes Sebastian described in his video.
    Thank you!

  • nahannilove says:

What a wonderful house and this one I have worn but do not own.. it was one of the fragrances I was led to at the end of the wonderful path they take you down at the Harrods Haute Perfumery Roja House in London. That was so intriguing to only be influenced by our senses and not the name of a fragrance or concept, I was enthralled by this one and the process of finding it was like being read to, quite romantic. I always enjoy Sebastians genuineness and his way of relating what a fragrance really is like… what it is best at and why it is superior or not. In transparency also love to watch his expressions because if you know what to look for – they say everything!! Super love your work and this blog, thank you for all you do and in the fierce artistic ways you do them. <3

  • Love Sebastians detailed reviews. Always opens my eyes to new fragrances and notes. I am a fan of Musk perfumes although I have not sampled any Roja’s.

  • deeemolina1 says:

My first experience outside the floral perfume realm was in a bottle of white musk from the body shop (another favorite of sebastian). I remember vividly as a child trying to steal sniffs from my aunt’s perfume collection. I was so intrigued by the scent. It smelled nothing like ive smelled before. It didnt smell like perfume, it smelled like a coming of age experience. It was as if my primal instinct of attraction was awakened by this bottle and i was drawn to it. And I think that’s what musk is all about, it’s a scent of attraction.

Sebastian always articulates his thoughts well. “Sensuous, warm, and cozy..” is right, those are the key adjectives in describing this wonderful note. The base notes have all components of a warm, cozy, and sexy concoction. I would loooooove to experience this beautiful and alluring fragrance. This would be my first roja bottle if i win and im claiming it!! Again thank you for this generous giveaway!

    Much Mahalo from Honolulu!

  • Sebastian is always so thorough in his reviews. This was no different from his description start to finish of the fragrance. I’m a huge fan of Musk and I’ve never tried a Roja and this would be a great way to start. Thanks from the US

  • I always love Sebastian’s reviews because he discusses the notes in great details. I have never tried Roja before and definitely love musk perfumes.
    I live in California

  • I love musk Aoud it takes me back to my childhood growing up in UAE walking through luxury malls. That’s the memory associated with this beautiful fragrance I gotta have it. Also love amber Aoud its beautiful as well.

  • I love Sebastian’s enthusiasm for perfume and his honest reviews. My favorite Roja Dove perfume with musk is, up till now, Elysium. That might change if I get a whiff of this new one! Thanks for the chance at such a fabulous bottle. I am located in the US.

  • As usual, phenomenal job by Sebastian! Love how he dives into the details of the perfume from every aspect. He’s very articulate with his words and indeed very knowledgeable when it comes to perfumes. I’m a huge fan of musk, and would love to try the Oud Musk from Roja Dove. I currently have 2 bottles from this house Creation-E and Elysium. I live in Boston, US. Lastly, I want to say thank you for such a fabulous generous giveaway. I’ve participated several times in giving feedback on cafleurebo site; hoping to win this time 🙂

  • The enthusiasm of Sebastian’s review sells this fragrance for me. It invoked memories of all the musk dominated fragrances of the 80’s that my aunts and uncles wore that my young nose deplored, but now mature nose understands. Here in California

  • Great review like usual from Sebastian. I’ve been a longtime subscriber of his channel. This Roja Parfum sounds really good. Oud musk combo with a bit of rose. Would love to try it out.
    Thanks for the giveaway. California

  • Had a chance to sample Roja Dove Musk Oud about a month ago and i love it, the Dry down is magical. Love Sebastian’s review of this masterpiece. Would love to win this Gem. Phoenix Arizona here, thanks for the giveaway.

  • This is a dream of a draw, thank you!

What I love about Sebastian’s review is that you can TELL he’s enjoying it. If I didn’t know better, I’d say he’s drooling (and that made ME drool, too- if that’s not a great review, I don’t know that is!! :)))
I LOVE musk, and very much enjoy Rojas, although I only own one so far.
Cheers, and thanks again. I’m in California.

  • Sabastian has such a cool calm and collective personality. His words paint a picture in my head when he’s describing a scent. Love how he says this is a SEXY fragrance. My personal favorite Roja is H the Exclusive Aoud.
    Thanks!

  • Good things comes to those who wait – haha…Sebastian is so good.Bought so much fragrances because of his reviews ..
Spicy , woody, tonka, oud , labdanum ,rose and high quality musk, leather and a bit smoky and animalic chypre – thank you Sebastian , i need this one in my life
The only full bottle Roja Dove fragrance that i own is Risque for men – phenomenal scent , and the best Roja Dove fragrance i’m familiar with , and one of the best fragrance i’ve ever smelled. It’s marketed for men only, but it’s 100% unisex to me-as a woman i don’t have a problem wearing it.In US is known as Creation R….don’t know why?!?
Best wishes to all of you , and tnx for this fantastic giveaway.
    Cheers from VA

  • Sebastian’s enthusiasm is utterly contagious. Weirdly, although one of my first perfume loves from childhood was Jovan Musk (the diametric opposite of Roja’s Musk Oud, I’m sure), I don’t have a grown-up musk! It would be a real treat to try this one.”

  • Kyle Stevens says:

I’ve been wanting to try a Roja Dove perfume but it’s out of my price range. Sebastian is my favorite reviewer because he reviews fragrances I’ve never heard of

  • Every time i’m watching one of Sebastians videos i do have a feeling i’m smelling the fragrance he’s reviewing on my arm.A long time subscriber since very early days of his old channel Man Loves Cologne.
I had i feeling he was singing something like:
“Because you know Musk Aoud it’s all about that base” 🙂
Not all , but most Roja Dove fragrances are very complex , so i was not surprised he was moved by Musk Aoud and it’s richness and complexity.Modern spicy chypre with leather nuances sonds great , but the dry-down intrigues me the most … the musk , the leather and the amber.Luxury at it’s finest coming from Sebastian is something to consider.
    Thank you for this draw.
I am a fan of Roja Dove fragrances-own full bottles of Parfum Version of Enigma/Creation-E and vintage version of Bergamot Extrait -by FAR the best bergamot fragrance ever imo … unfortunately discontinued 🙁
    I do follow all of you on Instagram @cafleurebon , @lookfeelsmellgreat @rojaparfums , @official_europerfumes .I also follow @rojadove and @hauteparfumerie .

  • I enjoyed Sebastian’s review the way he explained all of the notes and the progression from the beginning to the end. I think my favourite fragrance is creation e.And i do enjoy musk 🙂

Thanks 4 draw im in U.S.

  • I was going through my feed and saw that Sebastian was reviewing this fragrance. I love listening to his thoughts on the notes. The part in the video that made me smile was when he said, “it’s all about the base notes… good things come to those who wait”. I have learned from experience that some fragrances are linear and that others get better with time. Musk is becoming one of my favorite note. I have musk oud from by killian which I use for night and also have Over The Musk from Thierry Mugler which I use during the day. I’ve only smelled a few from Roja. I really like the Amber Aoud, Aoud, Musk Aoud and H The Exclusive Black Tier. Looking forward to adding Roja to my collection. Good luck to everyone. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!

  • I can tell how in live Sebastian was with this frag. I just sniffed a few from the line and all I got was quality and magnificence. I wish I can get my nose on this one.

  • I love the notes he mentioned and especially the sandalwood, rose, and musk. Like Sebastian said, the best things come to those to wait. The leather is smooth and cozy. Thanks for the great recommendation.

  • I love musk and loved the review. Sebastian has fantastic taste and I trust his judgement on this fragrance. I’ve been thinking about getting Roja Fetish and Danger at some point.

  • Great review from Sebastian as always. I’ve had the chance to test only Creation-E from Roja perfumes and was simply amazing. Musk aoud has to be another fantastic juice from this luxury house and i would love to try it. Thanks for the draw , Oakland US.

  • I would love to try this! I love musky frags like Sebastian and have about 4 roja doves but they aren’t the elite only the our Homme but sic quality in his fragrances 🙂
