Roja Parfums Isola Sol Review (Roja Dove ) 2024 + summer getaway giveaway

Isola Sol by Roja Parfums

Roja Parfums Isola Sol by Olya©

Roja Dove has undeniably mastered the art of luxury, consistently delivering multiple gems that celebrate the most exquisite ingredients like rose, oud, and amber. With the introduction of Isola Blu, a story of escapism began, and with the latest release, Roja Parfums Isola Sol, the summer getaway saga continues. Isola Sol is an olfactive postcard from an idyllic island retreat, a blissful day on a golden beach where the sun is at its zenith, casting a watercolor of oranges and blues across the sky. The fragrance opens with the warm, fuzzy tartness of peaches and apricots, evoking the feel of sun-kissed skin. The luminous notes of bright neroli, juicy mandarin, and the nutty creaminess of sandalwood beautifully complement this. A subtle hint of salty coconut and pink pepper conjures the nostalgic scent of suntan lotion, which quickly melts into the heat of summer skin; it evokes the essence of a tropical getaway at a five-star resort nestled in the heart of the ocean. Here, the sun always shines, and summer never ends. -Olya  Bar, Editor

Notes: Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin, Petitgrain, Apricot, Peach, Neroli, Jasmine Sambac, Ylang Ylang, Coconut, Pink Pepper, Cedar Wood, Sandalwood, Amyris Wood, Salty Accord, Musks, Ambroxan.

In true Roja fashion, Isola Sol has a myriad of notes and I can only imagine what the final blind smells like. I’ve had the opportunity to try Isola Blu and it’s just a magical fragrance. Isola Sol continues the escapism to remote and exotic islands this time bringing in about the tropical and solar feeling. I love that Steven mentioned it doesn’t smell like sun-tan lotions as lots of sunny fragrances get compared to that. A tropical getaway at a 5-star resort is exactly what I need while wearing Isola Sol, Olya. Thanks to Twisted Lily for hosting this amazing giveaway, Roja fragrances don’t come cheap for a reason, the quality is second to none. Tropical fragrances are some of my favorites and this release is perfectly timed for the summer season upon us. I follow Cafleurebonofficial on IG and my handle is Ramses.d.perez. Cheers from the USA.

  • Wow what a giveaway. Roja dove is top tier. Amazing job as always from Steven. I hear isola sol is in the vein of mancera Sicily but less quality compared obviously. Love to win this frag. Shout out Louisiana here

    Good afternoon,
What I liked most about Steven’s review was that this was a different fragrance from Isola Blu. I was thinking maybe they were similar because of their names. I’m eager to have this fragrance here in Florida. I think Olya did a great job with this fragrance’s warm weather vibes! I can’t wait to add this one to my collection.

  • Mel Battle says:

The Isola line has gotten of to a epic start. The description of this gem transports me to that coveted destination. Roja perfumes are anyways high quality and with the longevity of this being 8 hours it’s well worth the price tag and is a must try.

I absolutely love Isola Blu, so was excited to hear more with Stevens review and was I happy to hear his breakdown. With Isola Blu, that made me feel like I was on an beach town, so hearing everything about Isola Sol, already makes me think this will take me back to my time in Waikiki. The mix of citrus and florals and that Roja magic make me excited to try this one.

  • The legendary Isola Blu finally had a counterpart! Amazing, a citrusy, floral, suntan lotionish scent sounds like such a dream and we know Roja always brings the quality so I’m extremely excited to smell this one soon. Hey from NYC!

Forgot to add that to first post!

  • I love every note in this fragrance. All those juicy and citrusy fruits! But what captured my attention is that drydown – sandalwood! THAT is what I know will give that beachy, summery vibe. When Estee Lauder first launched Bronze Goddess, that was the note that really got my attention and just smooths out the top and mid notes. Even Steven pointed out that sandalwood note.
I’ve never owned anything that Roja. I would be so thrilled for this to be my first!

Roja Isola Sol is a higher end version of Masion Margiela’s Beach Walk and I can’t get enough of it!!!!!!! Absolutely gorgeous!!!

  • Roja Parfums Isola Sol is a higher end version of Masion Margiela’s Beach Walk and I absolutely love it! Performs better in that true Roja Dove fashion. It 100% encapsulates life on a tropical island. In love.

  • I’ve only recently become a fan of peach notes in fragrances (thanks to Sarah Baker and Chris Maurice), so I’m excited that Olya said the fragrance opens with a blast of peachy goodness. She also mentioned that vintage suntan lotion vibe and I can definitely get down with that. Steven spoke highly of its jubilant nature and the clean aura it provides. Sounds like a wonderfully relaxing scent for the summer. Best of luck to all. I live in NC, USA.

  • Steven did a great job breaking down the notes. It sounds wonderful for Summertime. Olga’s review made me think I was on a Summer vacation. Elegant and perfect for hot weather. Thank you for this chance USA

  • I already follow on IG with @SimoneSamba and am definitely wanting to try this latest beauty. I love apricot in a perfume. And a salty note. Sandalwood and Amyris is too. I know it’s just warm joy in a bottle!

  • John Michael says:

Steven’s enthusiasm & excitement has my blood pumping for this one! Olya has arch a gift for describing a fragrance to the point you can almost smell it as you read. CAN’T WAIT!

  • AleksCipri says:

I do not own any Roja fragrances. The price point is a bit too steep for me. But when I read peach and apricot fuzziness from Olya’s review I had to go and watch the video too. I love that Steven also mentions salty coconut and tropical vibes. I bet Roja managed to do this masterfully avoiding smelling like a cheap sun tan lotion. I’m interested! Cheers from Illinois US.

  • April Lynn says:

Love the floral citrus components. As appreciate your tahe on this one. Sounds magical. Makes me think of the Mediterranean Sea. Would love to wear this. April from Minnesota. USA.

  • karapar12 says:

The intros on the blog are always on point and creatively written, and Steven as always on point talking about the fragrance, love his accuracy on describing different nuances to the fresh/spring/summer DNAs! Roja never misses, their quality is always there even though the price range is a little bit high. Cheers from Connecticut!

  • I totally agree Steven, Roja parfums is so very much well respected in this industry, mainly because Roja dove is a literal genius, I’m excited to try this one, winning would be nice but either way I’m going to get this bad boy. Thank you so much for your descriptive review, much love-derek

  • Steven’s review of Isola Sol was captivating, with his insightful breakdown of the fragrance’s composition. I particularly enjoyed how he described the opening notes of lemon and bergamot transitioning into the heart of juicy apricot and peach, and finally settling into the creamy, woody base of sandalwood and cedarwood. His vivid imagery made me feel like I was experiencing a luxurious beach getaway. Olya’s introduction added a poetic touch, beautifully setting the scene for this exquisite summer scent.

Twisted Lily – you imp! This gorgeous citrinesque top encasing an astonishing sounding summer Roja; perfection! I have a soft spot for peach notes and Steven and Olya have created another lemming. Glad it’s not another suntan lotion scent, done and done. I live in NY.

  • Paul Maccagnone says:

Roja fragrances always deliver, and Isola Sol looks like yet another winner! Can never go wrong with any, from Elysium, Oceania, Isola Blu, love them all.

Steven does a great job as always, breaking the fragrance down for an in depth review, which is greatly appreciated.

  • mahondagod says:

Can’t wait to eventually try this one. As always, a review from Steven from Redolessence makes me want to get my hands on a fragrance far more than I already did. His breakdown of the notes made me so excited to eventually try this. For the sake of the giveaway, I do follow CaFleureBon on instagram and my handle is @masonstassi.

  • Such a great opportunity for the ever so coming hot summer. Would love to add this one to the collection.

  • ianbradleyandrews says:

Wow this sounds awesome. Tart and peach make for a delightful summer scent, as olya describes. Steven’s reviews are always awesome. He does a great job describing the scent but also including performance is helpful. I’d love to win and live in Indiana.

  • Roja has quickly become one of my favorite houses with Isola Blu being a staple in my rotation so naturally I’m very interested in this new release. I’m glad that Steven mentioned that the coconut in this doesn’t give off a sun tan lotion feel. I’m always weary of that when I see coconut in the notes. Although Olya did mention it has a hint of that but it quickly fades. I’ll have to test this myself and see. I follow @cafleurebonofficail on instagram @papa09295

  • From the opening I got that the “fragrance opens with the warm, fuzzy tartness of peaches and apricots”. The video said this perfume leans to the tropical side of things. US

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Per Steven, this is an uplifting and jubilant fragrance. The citrusy tropical vibe has captured my attention. As one who has many Roja creations in my fragrance cabinet, I expect the quality and performance of this creation will exceed expectation.
Olya has further enhanced my desire to experience this one with her describing it as evoking, “the essence of a tropical getaway at a five-star resort nestled in the heart of the ocean. Here, the sun always shines, and summer never ends.”
Warmest Regards from the USA 🙂

  • Kevin Kelly says:

Isola Sol reminds me of a place I’ve never been. Roja Parfums always has a habit of making me romanticize a life I haven’t yet lived

  • OLYA describes this as “ an olfactive postcard from an idyllic island retreat” which is absolutely what I need at this moment. Steven is always precise with his description and putting in his summer list already is all I needed to hear.

    Indiana USA

  • Kevin Kelly says:

Steven always captures the romantic side of perfumery in his reviews. Isola sol reminds me of a place I’ve never been and that’s one of the unique characteristics of Roja Dove. The ability to romanticize a life experience I have yet to live

  • Ok, Olya and Steven delivered a knock out… but taken together means I really would love to try this scent. The notes are all my favorites, and a summer tropical scent that doesn’t smell like sunscreen, I’m all in. I can’t wait to try it. Thank you for the intro and video! Of course I follow you, I’m zzibbyz, in Wa.

  • Lemon, Bergamot, Mandarin, Coconut, peach…
    Wow fruit for days!
I also love how Steven describes that it will make you feel like you’re on a tropical island and relaxing.
And how he said it’s not a suntan lotion summer scent,
Also sounds like phenomenal performance for a summer fragrance.
    Great review as always!

  • jlsteckley says:

I’ve been on the hunt for a peach scent and based on this intro and Steven’s video this may be it! Roja always delivers top notch scents. Can’t wait to smell this.

  • Roja Parfums Isola Sol is a higher end version of Masion Margiela’s Beach Walk and I absolutely love it! Performs better in that true Roja Dove fashion. It 100% encapsulates life on a tropical island without the smell of suntan lotion, just as Steven mentioned. In love.

  • Jeffrey Stair says:

Wow! This fragrance sounds amazing. I will definitely be sampling this as soon as I can.

  • WillRhodes says:

Summertime vibes? Yes, please! What a bright beautiful blend of citrus notes. Roja Parfums is such a fantastic line and like Steven said, such a respect for this niche brand. I love the tropical floral notes and I’m such a big fan of neroli and ylang ylang so I’m really happy to hear these uplifting notes have a presence in Isola Sol.
I feel relaxed at the thought of wearing this…A state of being tranquil on vacation, I would love to have this perfume bring me to that state.

  • Wonderful review from Steven. I don’t think a tropical getaway is in the cards for me this year, but I could certainly use one in a bottle. The combo of tropical notes with peach and apricot sounds lovely – and the fact that it’s unisex makes it intriguing to me! Thanks for the opportunity, I’m in California.

  • sherin thomas says:

oh my gosh!! This fragrance smells like money and I want it . One of the best from Roja. I agree with Steven’s review that this is very versatile and high quality scent of the Oligarchs . From PA,USA

  • Both reviews invoke a 5star resort vacation and Steven particularly pleased me by mentioning that this doesn’t smell like suntan lotion, which I don’t love in a fragrance. What this does sound like is a tropical summer scent I could really enjoy!

  • Lots of stone fruit and citrus with salty coconut and pink pepper make for a memorable summer scent. Glad to see that Isola Blu finally has a sequel. Steven really seems impressed with Isola Sol in his review. MD, USA.

I don’t own any Rojas but definitely have heard of them. A peach in a fragrance sounds super summery to me, would love to get my nose on it.

Steven’s description is awesome! Creamy, smooth & a tropical vibe. I love the note of coconut so this is going to be a summer favorite. Steven mentions this is a unique fragrance, seems like something that will stand out from the crowd on a tropical sun island.

  • Certainly! Here’s a response for entering the contest:

I thoroughly enjoyed Steven’s YouTube review of Isola Sol. His vivid descriptions of the fragrance’s bright and citrusy notes, combined with the tropical elements, painted a clear picture of its unique appeal. Olya’s introduction complemented this by highlighting the serene and luxurious nature of the perfume. The blend of coconut, jasmine, and bergamot sounds like the perfect summer scent. I appreciate the opportunity to participate in this giveaway. From the USA

  • roxhas1cat says:

I need a olfactive postcard, better yet I need a vacation (last 2 weeks of school here). I would expect no less of a Roja perfume than a 5 star location. I love that Steven mentions it’s summer vibes. I need a state of relaxation, maybe it’s that creamy sandalwood. My instagram is roadrunner_girl100. Thanks for a chance at this beauty. Happy Summer to all!! USA.

  • After reading the introduction and watching the video , and from all previous Olya Bar and Steven reviews of Roja Dove fragrances I can tell they’re obviously impressed not just by the latest Isola Sol release , but by Roja fragrances as a whole , the complexity and quality ingredients , presentation everything is 10/10.
Almost feels it’s not just Isola Sol , there is a connection with the brand and the two of my favorite Cafleurebon contributors.
Other than Olya and Steven enthusiasm , and tropical vacation chill out memories, the other thing that intrigues me the most are the scent profile with bright opening, juicy fruits, jasmine and sandalwood in the base.
Maybe it’s a tropical getaway like Olya called it , maybe something else, but I do feel delighted now , like I’m laying on the hammock on some white sand beach, with freshly squeezed juice in my hand.
Elysium Parfum Cologne is my favorite Roja Dove fragrance
    Thanks for the draw

  • David Furman says:

The first thing that comes to mind is juiciness. Done in a classier and more natural manner though. Steven couldn’t praise this one enough and I really enjoyed his overall assessment of this beauty. The fact he recommended it for high heat weather surprised me and let me know he’s confident in it’s durability and makeup to thrive in harsh conditions. Would love to own this, I have no experience with any of Roja’s creations so this would truly be a blessing. Thanks for the opportunity, from Jacksonville, NC.

  • I need this summer getaway with the described mix of florals and fruits with a tropical emphasis. Being added to Steven’s top picks for the summer is reason enough for me to want to grab this up. Thanks for the opportunity. USA/KY

Roja Dove is an expert in all he does , no wonder almost all fragrance enthusiasts , and critics puts him on such pedestal.Like Olya said he has mastered the art of luxury, bespoke fragrances is what Roja is known for , i’m a tailor who makes bespoke suits , we match well.
I’ll gladly wear Isola Sol “the essence of a tropical getaway”such a refined fragrance , citrucy and sunny as well as tropical too.The posh combination of zesty citruses, jasmine , coconut and sandalwood intrigues me a lot .
I can see myself wearing Isola Sol with Zegna fabrics Off-White Herringbone Linen suit.
My favorite Roja Dove is Amber Aoud Absolue Precieux , mesmerizing scent , Elysium Pour Homme Parfum Cologne is one of my go-to fragrances for the few past years .

  • WaltherP99 says:

One of my favorite things on Cafleurebon is reading and/or watching Steven’s videos about fragrances I know, and comparing the reviewers opinions with mine. As usual i enjoyed the whole experience , even though I’m not exactly on the same page with Olya and Steven , especially with Steven.
Isola Sol I sampled, and at least on my skin is a floral-fruity fragrance, with some spicy and salty facets. Personally I don’t get citruses at all ,even in the opening . I can see the suntan lotion melting on the skin Olya comparison made , but I definitely don’t Steven’s clean aura from the jasmine. To me the jasmine in Isola Sol is a bit heady, ylang ylang too but the apricot and sandalwood are balancing the fragrance really well. The salty aspects are like a whiffs of a afternoon sea breeze , Summer never ends indeed
If I have to rate my favorite Roja Dove fragrances
    1. Vintage , very first release , know amongst long time Roja Dove fans and collectors as “paper label” of Enigma Pure Parfum
    2. Sweetie Aoud / Manhattan
    3. Bergamot Extrait ( long discontinued )

  • For a perfumer known for using heavier materials in a luxurious presentation, I’m curious how Roja Dove’s style translates to a sunny tropical beach scent. Olya mentioned in her intro that the coconut here is subtle and segues into other notes; smelling like suntan lotion can be nice for a bit, but it sounds like Isola Sol approaches that smell with restraint. Steven’s review wisely highlighted the beautiful bottle—presentation is part of the experience with Roja Parfums. He also said the whole presentation is relaxing and serene, following a fresh and jubilant opening, and doesn’t smell like suntan lotion. Sounds like a perfect summer wear or for when you need a tropical escape.

I agree with everything said about this fragrance; I smelled it a few days ago and fell head over heels for it. It is all about summer, very tropical and delicious. I recently purchased Midsummer Dream and Isola Blue, and this one is definitely next. I want to thank Steven and Olya for another excellent introduction. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the draw. I am commenting from Orlando, FL, USA.

  • The white florals and citrus sounds just beautiful. Would be amazing to own a roja. This one screams summer. Very hopeful from USA

  • Isola Sol sounds so great for summer! I love Olya’s description of how it evokes sun-kissed skin and Steven’s description of the elegant florals. Thanks for the opportunity to win! I’m a Redolessence subscriber and I live in MN, USA.

  • Markel Bowman says:

Not only is the presentation top tier as always , But the floral creamy aspect of this fragrance screams classy vacation summer vibes. The ways Steven describes the uniqueness of this masterpiece along with the longevity suits perfectly for this season . Olaya breakdown of the notes and the vibe gives off nothing but what everybody looks for in the summertime, especially for high heat situations.

  • I enjoyed Olgas description of Isola Sol in her introduction. Particularly where she said; “The fragrance opens with the warm, fuzzy tartness of peaches and apricots, evoking the feel of sun-kissed skin. The luminous notes of bright neroli, juicy mandarin, and the nutty creaminess of sandalwood beautifully complement this. A subtle hint of salty coconut and pink pepper conjures the nostalgic scent of suntan lotion, which quickly melts into the heat of summer skin”. From Steven’s video I liked how he mentioned it reminds of summertime, is elegant, smooth, soothing, and elegant. Also that he said it doesn’t smell like suntan lotion, and how the coconut and sandalwood compliment each other so well. Also Steven said Isola Sol is one of the best releases of 2024 thusfar which makes me even more interested. Thanks for the generous draw, from CT USA. Following on IG @ck.uno_

  • Citrus, floral, and sandalwood, as Steven mentioned, makes this a real summer standout. And really, Roja is a master perfumer, so it has to be amazing. In maryland.

I relate Roja Dove to ultra luxury , Isola Sol i have no experience with. Leaning tropical in a nostalgic suntan lotion way is something I’d definitely enjoy.
The the best citruses available , fruits , spices , all smoothen like Steven said with jasmine Sounds really, really good, and I also think very much lavish Summer fragrance.
I’m also curious about how good of a fragrance Isola Sol is, if Steven thinks it’s jubilant and charismatic.

If it’s not too much of a hassle for you , please continue with double reviews, sometimes there are interesting differences between how the two contributors feel about certain fragrances
Steven – > fresh lemon, bergamot and neroli opening
Olya -> warm , fizzy and tart peaches and apricots
Steven – > the fragrance is jubilant, no suntan lotion vibes
Olya -> nostalgic suntan lotion vibes
All Roja fragrances I have smelled are deep , and never linear , and Isola Sol is one of those unique summer gems you’ll never forget. I love the addition of sandalwood, and musk to all other pleasing tropical notes.
Olya and Steven co-review almost brought me to Italy , sitting on the balcony of a luxury seafront villa in Sicily with striking port views, clear pool and stunning location enjoying the sunset with sparkling White Wine Sangria with mandarins , peaches and apricots
Risque for Men i love and own , phenomenal scent , and the best Roja Dove fragrance i’m familiar with .
Inspired by the co-review, and Isola Sol , I’ll treat myself with White Wine Sangria
Cheers, and thank you for the opportunity

  • You cannot beat Roja Dove in niche quality art work of perfumery. they made few when a true perfume enthusiast can fall over the hills such as Oceania, being my favorite, with Elysium, vetiver pour homme. they are the definition how perfumes be blended not just a mixure of few notes but how everything combined creates something so seductive, alluring, loveable. this review on twisted lily makes me even crazier to put my hands on. thanks pal.
