Ramon Monegal is a Spanish perfume house founded by Ramon Monegal, a fourth-generation perfumer from Barcelona. The brand has a rich heritage with over 100 years of expertise in the art of perfumery.  Senor Monegal uses only the finest natural ingredients to create luxurious fragrances that are both classic and contemporary.

Ramon Monegal Siesta is a celebration of the Mediterranean coast of Spain. It is a scent that takes me to the sunny beaches and the relaxation of a siesta. The fragrance is a combination of citrusy and woody notes that blend perfectly to create a fresh and inviting scent. The top notes of Siesta are cedar, lemon and honey. The citrusy notes of lemon are refreshing and energizing, while the sweetness of honey and the woody aroma of cedar add depth to the fragrance. The middle notes are jasmine, iris, and vetiver. The floral and earthy scents of jasmine and iris blend beautifully with the woody and smoky aroma of vetiver. The base notes of vanilla, musk, and tonka bean add warmth and sensuality to the fragrance.

Siesta sounds like a perfect olfactory portrait of the Mediterranean with its opening of citrus, and drawn down by the nature of woody notes. I can only imagine that this would make for the perfect Summer perfume to wear at a lazy day at the beach or exploring the nature that surrounds the water.
I have smelled Invisible but Cool once before and adored it, especially encased in its beautiful art deco vessel.
Thank you for the lovely review, Karl!

  • Anything that “takes me to the sunny beaches and the relaxation of a siesta” as Karl put it, is worth looking into. I have not tried any fragrances from Monegal yet, but they are on my wish list! NV, USA.

  • LovelyMouse says:

I love the way Karl describes his perfume experience with Siesta in reference to the sunny beaches of Spain. And the notes of lemon, honey and jasmine remind me of southern summer nights. “Freedom and luxury” – I absolutely agree with this statement regarding the perfumery of Ramon Monegal. It should be noted that Ramona’s perfumes sound excellent and very organic in the Mediterranean climate, probably because they were created there. I have L’Eau De Rose (it is my favorite so far) and it projects completely different in the middle latitude, it opens up fully and voluminous on the southern coast. I like the holiday vibe of Karl’s review, so that you immediately start thinking about vacation, the sun, the sea and the beach, and Siesta, apparently, is just capable of creating this mood!

    I live in the EU.

  • Brad Woolslayer says:

I’m interested in a fragrance that captures the essence of the Mediterranean. I lived in Spain for over 3 years, so I’d love to have a fragrance that takes me to the relaxation of a siesta. I live in Maryland USA.

  • The intriguing facts interest me specifically. I never tried any Ramon Monegal fragrance but if I’d had to choose I would pick Siesta beacuse of how unique it is. I live in Trzebnica, Poland, EU.

  • Wow, this one seems like one of the most aptly named perfumes I have seen lately. Karl’s description certainly seems to drive home the idea of this as a siesta in a bottle. Of all fragrance types/families, summer scents are the one cateogry I am definitely lacking in and looking to expand. Karl’s review makes me think this would be a perfect addition to my collection as it encapsulates the essence of Spain’s Mediterranean coastline. I appreciate the fact that it does so with a balance of freshness and woods rather than relying on coconut and marine accords. I am certainly eager to try this one. I have tried Ramon Monegal’s Ibiza Sunset Cafe (previously known as Cafe del Mar) and Next to Me, both of which were outstanding so I just know this one will be of the utmost quality. I live in NC, USA.

  • Sorohan Adriana says:

Dolce far niente reaches its fullest expression with the iconic SIESTA, a Mediterranean luxury synonymous with freedom. I love it! I am from EU

  • Karl’s review was amazing and it really captures the essence of “Siesta”, especially when he describes it as “a fragrance that captures the essence of the Mediterranean. It is a celebration of freedom and luxury that transports you to the sunny beaches of Spain.” My favorite Ramon Monegal perfume, for very special and personal reasons, is “Flamenco”.
I live in Portugal, EU and would love to win.
    Thank you for everything!

  • Thanks for the article Karl!

Upon reading Siesta in the title I was guessing the notes and was pleased to see that Musk is listed. I love Atractone Musk and believe that this is a note that Ramon masters and blends incredible well.

The combination of Jasmine, Iris and Honey simply sounds amazing. I love these notes and can’t say I’ve ever smelled them together.
Needless to say I look forward to trying this on a nice sunny day on the Mediterranean coast this summer!

    Greetings from the UK!

  • Karl uses truly appealing imagery (beaches in Spain!) and concepts (“fresh & inviting” and “freedom & luxury”) to describe Siesta. He substantiates his imagery with a concise breakdown of the top, middle and base notes, which is very helpful in helping someone like me decide I sure do want to try this fragrance!
    In the U.S.

  • All the notes seem to blend into a symphony of the Mediterranean and that is absolutely lovely, but the part that excites me the most is the honey! I truly hope the honey in Siesta is not a shy, background kind of honey note, but a front and center presence which can give strengthen the personality of the citrus woody fragrance, a category that sometimes comes across as non descript, no matter how lovely or well made it is.
My favorite “Monegals” are Olé and Faisa.

  • Johnmichael02302 says:

The combination of notes really caught my interest. I have so many from this house I love I can’t possibly name a favorite but Alhambra Oud is phenomenal! Good luck all from Boston!

  • FragranceIsMe says:

Karl’s depiction of the olfactive journey this creation by Ramon Monegal takes one on, has my undivided attention. I’m ready to depart for my Siesta :). The notes sound so chilled and relaxing. Just where I want to be, as I sit here at my desk on this rainy afternoon just outside Philadelphia. Siesta, take me away! One of my favorites from this house is Mon Patchouly.

  • I remember Karl’s review of a ocean oud was so great i bought it
This sounds really lush and wearable

  • I like the rich heritage with over 100 years of perfumery expertise, the relaxation of siesta, and the Mediterranean coast reference. My favorite scent from the brand is Heritage Drops which is a great fresh fragrance. Greetings from EU.

  • My specific in the perfume is it’s promise to, “embody a carefree and relaxed lifestyle that is associated with the Mediterranean”. US

  • RonaldProkes17 says:

I enjoyed how descriptive Karl was with what place and time the fragrance transported him to. As someone who has spent many summers in Spain in my youth I have a particular fondness for that coastline and that way of life. I would love to be transported there through the citrus and woody notes as I haven’t been back to Spain in over a decade.I’m also on the hunt for a summer fragrance as I have nasty habit of having too many heavy ambers and such.
    California, USA.

  • Great review any green bottle weather if its a drink or fragrance anything green is great.

Carefree and relaxed lifestyle is how I try and live everyday it does help living in paradise.

    Thanks from the USA

  • I want to be on that beach!!! I’ve always been a gourmand lover, but have lately been loving mediterranean style scents and bought 4. Thankfully the winter weather finally left so I can wear them. I’m curious about this fragrance that embodies a carefree and relaxed lifestyle. Love that green color bottle!! I’ve only smelled a few of these creations when I was at OSME in Miami and I loved Flamenco. Thanks for the chance. USA.

  • I’ve never been to Spain or any Mediterranean beaches but I love when a fragrance can transport me to the place it’s coveying. Iris, honey and smoky vetiver sounds amazing, along with the other beautiful notes. I haven’t had the opportunity to try any scents from this house yet so of course I don’t have a favorite. Although I am looking for the edt of laislablanca.

    Indiana USA

  • I’m more of a cold weather person, but the review paints a lovely image of carefree vacation days when I’m feeling winter blues! I have not yet tried a Ramon Monegal fragrance. I live in the USA.

  • Another amazing giveaway.
The whole idea of siesta is particularly appealing for me right now.
Having just worked 29 days in a row without a day off, a few carefree moments to siesta sound great.
It is wonderful to my mind and nose that a scent can transport to another place
The notes sound like a fabulous summer scent.
    Sorry to ramble.

  • Ramon Monegal Siesta looks like a woody, citrusy composition, apt as it tries to capture the essence of Mediterranean. The green color of the bottle also hints at a fresh composition. I am in US.

  • Gnossiennes says:

Thanks for the review, Karl. Siesta sounds relaxing and refreshing. Now that heat waves have come earlier this year, Siesta sounds really perfect. I would love to try it out.
    Greetings from San Mateo, California.

  • Shibuichi2000 says:

Siesta sounds like the whiff of perfume you’d catch passing by a stranger on an exclusive beach. It leaves you wondering at that relaxed lifestyle you can only dream about.
The notes sound sooo so appealing, I mean…who can say no to cedar + lemon + iris + jasmine?
No Monegal favourite yet, since I have only tested two. I need more to choose from 🙂
I am living in Europe and sending my thanks at a chance of getting my scented little paws on this beauty 🙂

  • In Karl’s review I seebonly freedom, carefree, beach vibe….like a walk on the beach and just taking deep breaths…I visualized that and I want it….I have no Ramon favorites. I live in London, UK.

  • aroma of vetiver. The base notes of vanilla, musk, and tonka bean add warmth and sensuality to the fragrance. I am intrigued by the basenotes of vanilla, musk and tonka bean. Ramon Monegal just a classy house you have definitely piqued my interest. Thanks a million from the UK

  • AromaDulce73 says:

I was in Spain last year and this fragrance sparked my attention. The combination of lemon and honey sounds amazing. That bottle looks beautiful, would love to add this to my collection. Sounds like the perfect fragrance for the summer. This would be my 1st experience with a Ramon Monegal fragrance.

    Los Angeles California, USA

  • base notes of vanilla, musk, and tonka bean add warmth and sensuality to the fragrance. A beautiful description by Karl has got me intrigued I am in love with the notes especially Vetiver being on of my favourite notes in perfumery. Thanks a lot from the United Kingdom

  • Oh, I think my husband and I would love to share Siesta! Earlier this week, we took turns wielding an axe to cut down an evergreen (possibly a cedar) tree that was growing too close to the side of our house. We actually broke our axe mid-chop and had to run to the store to buy a backup to finish the job, haha. My back is still a little sore from the effort, but it was awfully satisfying to see it fall down! We are still breaking it down into smaller logs to use in our fire pit for summer campfires — playing guitar and singing together, enjoying hot dogs, s’mores and starlit skies with our two cats. We will be married five years this August 🙂
I love the way the cool, damp cedarwood beneath the bark leaves this fragrant, slightly tacky essence on my hands. Combined with my love of lemon + honey tea, Siesta could be a wonderful nostalgia fragrance to remind us of how lovely our young marriage has been! Should I win, this would be my first Ramon Monegal fragrance. Thanks for the generous draw.
    Indiana, USA.

  • Siesta sounds like a perfect fragrance for summer weather. Ramon Monegal bottles are si very unique. I’m a fan and one of my favs is Flamenco. Thanks for the opportunity to sniff. Mich USA

  • wandering_nose says:

I am just literally back from Costa del Sol two days ago and still captivated by the warm air, amazing beaches and the life evolving around taking a break at the time of the highest heat and then socializing when temperatures allow to emerge from the air-conditioned buildings. I have been drawn to lemony and woody fragrances recently and Ramon Monegal’s Siesta seems to highlight those notes and capture the lifestyle I would so love to make mine one day! I like Attractone Musk from the house and I am happy there is musk in Siesta too. Thank you from the EU

  • bhernandez says:

I like the description of Siesta by Ramón Monegal.
He is behind sone hits like Agua Fresca Citrus Cedro of Adolfo Dominguez.

Siesta sounds inviting but also fun, invigorating, calm.
Lemon and honey sound like a fantastic opening, and Vetiver in the middle with Iris, this can be an outstanding fragrance to enjoy in the summer.

  • Nikolina_84 says:

What specifically sparked my interest about Siesta in Karl’s review is his description of the perfume as being “The scent that embodies a carefree and relaxed lifestyle that is associated with the Mediterranean. It is a fragrance that celebrates life and encourages you to enjoy the little moments that make life beautiful.”
Since I live in a Mediterranean country, I’m interested how Monegal captured that feeling.
One of my favorites perfumes from the house is Monbloom.
    Hugs from Croatia, EU.

  • The green is amazing. I’m not sure yet where this Siesta is heading, Vetiver is always good though. Let me admit the notes sound rather generic to me. Yet, I have full trust in Ramon Monegal, I love my bottle of Umbra. I’d love to get my own impression and win this to Germany, thank you for the draw!

  • This one sounds incredible. All my favourite notes! I haven’t tried this brand before so have no preconceived ideas. I am in the U.K.

  • Bennie Johnson says:

I love the Mediterranean coat of Spain so I’m interested to see how that is captured in a bottle. My favorite Ramon Monegal is Ibiza laislablanca, such a great masterpiece for the spring and summer. I’m in Maryland, USA. Would love to own a bottle!

  • cynthmarie says:

Intense, Luxury, Freedom, Desire. Sounds good to me! Barcelona is actually the only place in Europe I’ve visited and they definitely have the right idea with siesta. If only the US would adopt this outlook. I recently got a sample of Atractone Musk and I’m very impressed with the quality and would love to explore more from Ramon Monegal. Lemon, cedar, tonka, Iris and vanilla sound like a wonderful blend. In US

  • onemechanicalalligator says:

Siesta sounds gorgeous! Lemon is my favorite citrus, & I’m also very drawn to the vanilla & tonka in the base, as well as the smokiness of the vetiver. I’d love to be transported to the sunny beaches of Spain via perfume. I’ve never tried a Ramon Monegal perfume before but I’m very intrigued by this house. In the US.

  • olgAPOISON says:

As someone from the Mediterranean, lived here my whole lige, y e s, I need this. I love Beach and lemony scents. I Like that it has Jasmine, vanilla and Tonka also. Never tried this house. Im from EU

  • I loved Karl’s description of the how Siesta transports you to the Mediterranean. Lemon, honey, and jasmine are some of my favorite notes, so I’d really love to try this perfume! I’ve never had the opportunity to try any perfumes by Ramon Monegal but I’ve heard great things. I’m in MN, USA.

  • Perfect timing for a Mediterranean olfactory journey! Monegal is a master of musk based fragrances and Siesta seems to continue that tradition. This seems like a lovely relaxing, summer fragrance that lets the wearer experience the sunniness of Spain. Favorite Monegal is Mon Cuir. MD, USA

  • With such renowned family tree, I can’t even imagine the level of pressure Ramon Monegal was facing ever since he was a kid , but he lived to expectations.
All his fragrances I’ve smelled up until now are provocative, powerful , and almost bohemian , Siesta sounds awesome.
It seems like Siesta is vacation type of fragrance with top performance, I’m interested.
Karl Topham review made me believe through Siesta I’ll be able to hear the song of the sea whereas laying on the hammock , the smell of the citruses, woods and the smoky vetiver , perfect tranquil dream.
One of my favorite fragrances is Impossible Iris – Ramon Monegal. Modern and cozy fruity-floral.
    Thanks for the draw

  • Love how Karl associates this scent with the sunny beaches and the relaxation of a siesta – a combination of citrusy and woody notes that blend perfectly to create a fresh and inviting scent. Also, since I’m always looking for a unique scent, I believe Siesta is definitely worth trying.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try many Ramon Monegal’s perfumes, but I did love Isolde and Ambra di Luna .

  • Beautiful review by Karl who I am similar to in choosing fragrances that suits my lifestyle. I am all about freedom and luxury, and a fragrance that embodies both freedom and luxury is what I’d love to wear at a luxury beach resort. I have never tried any of Ramon Monegal’s fragrance but am now interested in getting some samples. Thank you for an amazing giveaway! Greetings from the USA.

I must begin confessing that I am a huge FAN os Ramón Monegal perfumes! My Favourite one is Flamenco but I really LOVE all of them!!
I like the association that Karl makes between the perfume and the carefree Life in the mediterránean áreas. Freshness, citrics, White flowers… It is the typocal image of mediterránean regions and Siesta as a topic typical spanish lifestyle. I am Writing from Lugo in Spain (EU)

  • Nice review Karl! Who doesn´t love a siesta. As spanish I am suspect but nothing beats a siesta after lunch in summer time: !. You repeat the motto “freedom and luxury” and it is kind of acurate in Siesta: a Mediterranean luxury synonymous with freedom. This is summer fragrance that brings out the Mediterranean vibes without loading the hand in citruses : Just some lemon (with cedar and honey) in the opening. Jasmine and vetiver put us to sleep with the iris “canción de cuna”. Waking up later with sweet vanilla. Let´s try! I love his oud collection, being Soul of Wood my choice because the osmanthus gives the perfect touch. I live in Spain, EU

  • I love the addition of the notes honey and jasmine to the summer perfume profile. This sounds like something I might enjoy wearing. In hot Texas summers it requires a particular type of scent to refresh rather than overpower. I will be in Barcelona for a couple of days in June and I am really hoping I can visit this perfumery! I live in the USA. Thanks for the draw.

  • What an awesome review! Rarely do I read a description and say I think this one is something I have to have. The bottle is the deal closer…Sounds like the perfect balance of citrus and woody elements to make it a winner for many.

  • It’s such an honor, and in my opinion a privilege to follow up the path of your life, while stepping on the renowned Monegal foundation .I like the heritage , and the strong lineage of Ramon Monegal , being 4th generation perfumer, not only his father , but whole family of famous perfumers.
Karl take on Siesta made me think of my last Summer vacation in Valencia, and also making, and later eating Glazed Honey Lemon Pound Cake , drinking Jasmine tea , and enjoying my time on the beach.
The only Ramon Monegal fragrance i know is Bravo. I had a small decant at first , and a full bottle now .In my Pastry Chef mind , smells like I’m eating Chocolate Ganache Cake with Cassis, drinking freshly squeezed apricot juice , sitting on a leather sofa.
Appreciate the review, and the giveaway campaign

  • Siesta sounds like a somewhat unusual take on coastal, beachy scents—namely the opening cedar, lemon, and honey combination. Citrus and woods are a lovely combination; the way Romon Monegal interpreted that basic formula sounds wonderful. I also like that the vetiver here is woody and smoky enough to stand out. Would love to try this. Thanks for the review, Karl.

I’m in the midwest, USA. I haven’t tried any Ramon Monegal perfumes.

  • Karl’s review of Ramon Monegal Siesta created a beautiful picture of a Mediterranean escape in summer, basking in freedom and luxury. I have heard a lot of Ramon Monegal perfumes on Cafleurebon but have yet to try one. Clicking on the link in review for Ramon Monegal Siesta took me to their website, which reminded me of Matrix the movie!!! Thanks Karl for the review and to Ramon Monegal for a generous draw. I am in the contiguous USA.

  • I really like the way Karl’s writes his review, it leads you to imagine what and how the fragrance can smell, I hope this is calming to the point of a siesta, I personally love between entre naranjos, I like those kind of cologne type fragrances with a modern twist, i currently live in the united states

  • This house have always been a interest for me. I love the Spanish heritage of the brand and what intrigues me most about the review that Karl provides on this fragrance is that while its called siesta that it is not just a fully relaxing scent. It is as he mentions a unique scent that embodies your personality and lifestyle of the Mediterranean. This to me means it is lively yet refreshing and laidback. The packaging for the bottle and the box are quite interesting also. I overall love the vibe of the fragrance! Cheers from Texas, USA!

  • liquidasset77 says:

What more can you ask for, Monegal is quickly becoming a staple house that provides limitless olfactive travels and memories through his summer fragrance offerings. Lemon groves off the Mediterranean shores, indolic jasmine with and raw animalism of honey accords and the sweet allure of tonka with vanilla and a touch of comforting leather. This sounds like a signature scent to me. MICHIGAN USA

This fragrance is undoubtedly another beautiful masterpiece by Ramon Monegal. The notes as described by the author are very enticing and extremely attractive to the perfume enthusiast. I have always love the combination of citrus and woody notes, can’t wait to get my hands on this beautiful scent. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this draw, commenting from Orlando, Fl. USA

  • Karl saying the scent captures the essence of the Mediterranean is the most interesting part of the review. I an unfamiliar with Mr. Monegals perfumes. Thank you, Southern CA here.

  • IvanVelikov says:

Karl Topham joyful review of Siesta almost transported me to Ibiza in a warm September day.
The brand’s heritage and Mediterranean essence blend perfectly to create a fragrance that embodies freedom and calmness. I saw myself on one of the yachts sailing nearby the Mediterranean coastline. Olive Green linen suit, white shirt shirt, no tie , and loafers is the outfit suited for Siesta.
What sparked my interest, other than Karl review, is the “Do not disturb” indication on Siesta box
Late last Summer I’ve smelled Olé on a client at the tailor store, my first Ramon Monegal experience , it smelled virtuous on him . I sampled the fragrance first , and now i can say Olé with a bottle of my own
Thank you Karl Topham , and Ramon Monegal

    Greetings everyone
A few days ago, despite not being allowed to enter, because it was US only giveaway , I really like how Ms Camen asked if we prejudge perfumes by listed notes.
Well, I read Mr Topham review of Siesta first, and since i was about to visit Jovoy Paris anyway I decided to try the fragrance on skin.
To begin with, Jovoy sales assistants are promoting Siesta as woody and leathery all year round fragrance. I don’t know if leather is part of the official notes, or not, but the fresh start is there for a rather short period of time, and when settled down Siesta is mostly leathery, woody and sweet , it’s spectacular . I very much prejudged by the notes, and was surprised when sprayed on skin of how Mr Topham view of the fragrance is so contradictory to mine.
It’s fascinating how we both love Siesta, but our motives are very different.
I believe Siesta is also very powerful, and will work great not just in the Summer, but even in the freezing, rainy and windy conditions.
From the few Ramon Monegal fragrances I’ve smelled a Jovoy, Siesta and Cherry Musk i like the most.
Thank you, American living in Paris France

  • “You are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop.”
    – Rumi

It truly fits into Ramon Monegal lifestyle story well. He followed the family name path, and build his own brand well , relying on heritage, but also his own vision of the world.
Siesta is a representation of Spanish traditions fragrance , with added 2023 peaceful personality.
And who doesn’t want a special Summer cocktail , made with pinch of refinement ? Something like Lemon Drop Martini, and Terry Pratchett book , don’t bother me please , I’m cherishing the moment.
My favorite Ramon Monegal fragrance is Mon Patchouly . Half earthy, half chocolate patchouli, with amber and incense .
    Thank you for the opportunity

  • The concept behind the fragrance is beautifully projected through Ramon’s choice of notes to represent the inspiration. Living near the coastal areas of the united states, the beaches always smell somewhat off or a overall saltiness. The honey, wood, and citrusy notes for me tend to remind me of a cozy setting and I’m glad to see Ramon including it in this fragrance. I’m curious on the heaviness of the honey in this fragrance in it’s overall projection. From TX, USA.

I really like the bottle and the colour. I wonder if the juice inside smells “green” or not. Thanks. Europe

  • I would love to experience a “scent that embodies a carefree and relaxed lifestyle that is associated with the Mediterranean”. Also, my imagination runs wild when I hear about siesta, 2 of my favorite cities being Valencia and Barcelona. I love the combination of fresh – sweet and Ramon Monegal is a brand that launched many of my favorite perfumes, especially Flamenco!!!

I live in Europe. and I want to thank you for yet another beautiful giveaway!

  • FragranceWoman says:

Ramon Monegal has always been someone I admired. I loved his Ole and Ibiza creations. I am glad he is here again with a summery creation. Spanish perfumers are the best to re-create the Mediterranean coastal vibes because they live it most of the year. Here it seems that Ramom is creating something special with vanilla and tonka bean at the base to add warmth with citrusy woody notes up top like cedar, lemon and honey.

My favorite Monegal is Ole and Ibiza.

  • I’m not so familiar with Ramon Monegal brand but i liked Karl’s review and i think Siesta would be a great choice for a warm summer. Love the pyramid notes for Siesta and also the green eye catchy bottle. Thanks for the chance, i’m in the EU.

  • Great review bay Karl.
Ramon Monegal makeas fantastic fragrances and Siesta seems like yet another one. I love Siesta time, lol. I love that this fragrance embodies freedom and luxury, amazing.

    Hello!
I guess my olfactory state of mind and Siesta make a perfect match: I’m always in search of unique scents; at the moment a vibe of a carefree, laidback holiday is highly needed even if it’s only an olfactory oasis created through a set of perfume notes.
Above that, the notes seem to be really to my liking.
Many thanks to Karl for the review!

I can like fragrances which inspired by the Mediterranean Sea coast, so I’d probably like Ramon Monegal “Siesta”. I’m intrigued to try fragrances from Ramon Monegal when Karl said “Senor Monegal uses only the finest natural ingredients to create luxurious fragrances that are both classic and contemporary.” Also, I’m intrigued to try something from this company because I’ve haven’t tried anything from them yet. I live in the U.S.A.

  • I’ve yet to finish my first year into my fragrance journey so this is my first time hearing about Ramon Monegal. What interest me about Karl’s review is his association with this fragrance. Carefree life by the beach is all I really need. It is the ideal distraction from the concrete jungle of city life. I would definitely wear this in summer at the beach when I want to just lay on the sun and maybe take a nap on my hammock.
    Cheers from Illinois, USA.

As the days are warming up, and the sun is shining Karl made me think of the three years of my life I’ve spent in Spain , so the concept of Siesta, and the Spanish atmosphere I’m well familiar with.
From the delicious cuisine pescaito , gazpacho, jamones , to the couples having a carefree chat in the cafes , nightlife is lively.
In any case, it is clear to see that Spaniards are experts in the art of doing nothing , and enjoying simple pleasures.
Siesta? It is all about celebrating the best of life and taking time to savour life’s precious moments, and enjoying relaxation time without feeling guilty!
Iris , vetiver and relaxing freshness , Siesta is just the way to live life!
Cherry Musk is my favorite one from the house. Compliments are really important to me, and if you’re like me, Cherry Musk will get you noticed , no doubt smelling amazing

Karl reminded me of holidays in the Mediterranean. I love everything about being on such Siesta like holiday, spending time relaxing, having no demands on my time.
All too often, when people in the Western world are too busy rushing through life, and we fail to notice the simple pleasures and certainly don’t make time for them.Does this sound familiar to you ?
Scent wise the thing i like the most in Siesta is the blend between the delicate floral-woody parts, and the honey and citrusy undertones.
It’s very hard for me to rate my 3 favorite Ramon Monegal fragrances, so I’ll name a few Flamenco , Next to Me , Olé , Faisa,Soul of Oud and Bravo .
All profiles I already follow,i also follow @lauramonegal and @oscarmonegal
    Thanks a lot , @waltherp99bg

I loved Karl’s review of Ramon Monegal Siesta. The first thing I thought was this citrusy fresh fragrance inspired by the Mediterranean Coast of Spain perfumed by the 4th generation perfumer Ramon Monegal has to be a very unique, special, and captivating fragrance for the warmer weather. Karl describes this as being the perfect fresh and inviting fragrance with a touch of sweetness provided by honey and vanilla and sounds like something I would truly love. My favorite fragrance from Ramon Monegal is Ocean Oud. I am from the USA.

Thanks for the nice review Karl.

This fragrance perfectly captures the essence of that wonderful mediterranean habit, the afternoon siesta.

I imagine in a warm day, but not too hot, the smell of citrus plants and florals in the air, a gentle warm breeze as I sway and drift into the depths of a nice nap.

    Cheers from WI, USA

Very interesting review Karl! What specifically interests me about Karl’s review is how he describes Siesta as capturing the essence of the Mediterranean coast of Spain in a celebration of freedom and luxury. The blend of citrus freshness with a lush and rich mid of jasmine iris and vetiver sounds absolutely perfect. I tend to dislike “summery” fragrances that are too light and airy, but the mix of sunshine with opulence and luxury here sounds like it will create a perfect summer fragrance with heft and substance.

My favorite Ramon Monegal perfume is Alhambra Oud and I live in the US.
