Pumpkin Beer Soap From The Greek Goddess Of Scented Suds Anastasia Angelopoulos

It is said that the craftsperson imparts their personal energy into that which he/she creates.

Perhaps that is why I am such an avid collector of Anastasia’s hand cut funky chunky deeply scented soaps.  They carry the energy of courage, fierce faith in the goodness of life, and a strong belief in spiritual justice.

“Anastasia Angelopoulos is the kind of person who not only would but could save your life by wrestling a Burmese Python from around your ribs and then quickly skinning it to make baby clothes and goulash. She's the kind of woman who can make something out of nothing and present it in such a way that is at once surprisingly pretty and delicious.” Monica Skye, March 2010

In the shower with my aromatic chunks of wisdom I feel cloaked in the skin of the lioness, with the strength to match, in keeping with the 11th card of the Tarot called Strength…

Yes, we are talking about soap.

Green Gorgon Soap (check, I have that) with green tea, diatomaceous earth (for the spark of life in the water), organic wheat and barley grass, myrrh, labdanum… the lather is rich, gooey and silty at the same time.

Vetiver co-distillation with Frangipani Soap (check, I have that) a rich darkly aromatic treat.

Gnarly Bitch Soap…(check, I have that) scented with cocoa butter, neroli, patchouli, vetiver, rose, vanilla.

Black Madonna Soap (check, I have that…) spikenard, rose and activated charcoal making a black lather which rinses clean.

….and many many more…. Including her latest for Halloween…

Pumpkin Beer Soap… a suitably orange soap made with a spicy blend of citrus oils, cassia and real pumpkin ale. This soap is skin tingling, richly lathered, moisturizing with a friendly pumpkin pie kind of smell.

natural or blended scents: natural

worth the risk to buy unsniffed: Yes, can’t go wrong really. And you could probably use these soap bricks as weapons in a pinch.

  • It's not just her soaps…
One of Anastasia's bindis is responsible for my recent dreamtime journeys in which I've ended up all over the world, eavesdropping – in a nice, respectful way- on ordinary, lovely folk. Seriously!
I'm clocking up celestial frequent flier points.
