Interview: Skye Talks With “Natural Nose” Christopher Brosius of CB I Hate Perfume

Few have it, others envy it. Those who posses it can go mad. In a musicians world this is called “perfect pitch”. Absolute Pitch, as defined by Wikipedia…is the ability of a person to identify or recreate a musical note without the benefit of an external reference.
The Perfumer’s equivalent of Absolute Pitch is the “Natural Nose”. In his own words Perfumer Christopher Brosius can “blend in my head as opposed to doing it in a flock of little bottles. ”

Anamor You Are- Take Your Time To Get It Right

Anamor released their first fragrance in 2005, All That Matters was a simple fragrance centered around a Tibetan musk discovered on a trip to New York City. Based on the story behind All That Matters it seemed like there would never be another Anamor branded perfume. Then a press release landed in my e-mail announcing a second fragrance from Anamor, You Are.

Fragrance and Fashion At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week- Alive and Kickin’

There are two weeks out of the year where my fragrance hat gets put on the shelf and my fashion hat gets priority. Spring 2011 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York took place over the previous eight days and while my eyes were, mostly, dazzled with the clothes; my nose didn’t stop functioning. In these times where it seems there are concerns about people wearing less fragrance that wasn’t evident inside the velvet ropes of Lincoln Center and the downtown runways.
