Originally launched for the holiday season of 2009, this baby is timelessly decadent and sultry.
It would murmur “come hither” on any man or woman alive.
And it may be worn with impunity in any weather, it’s so subtle.

Jo Malone’s new in-house perfumer, Master Perfumer Christine Nagel has accomplished a similar feat in the newly released four fragrance collection for Jo Malone, Cologne Intense. Mme. Nagel has fashioned four different fragrant hits and at the same time shown her versatility as an artist. Each one of the four fragrances has a distinct personality and at the same time feels as if they are also part of the Jo Malone collection of fragrances.
Liz Zorn is an iconoclastic wonder; by now, she is becoming more widely known and appreciated. I’m so glad…
I find Lizzie- and her work – to be a marvelous amalgam of tender and tough, sweet, sassy, and spicy.
Waterflower is one of my favorite parfums- spicy, earthy, floral, and intricately nuanced.
Profoundly spiritual, and deeply earthy.
According to Liz, she was inspired by her own lily pond and the transcendent philosophical aspects of the lotus blossom.
It was a true labor of love, and we can clearly sense that.
Wearing Mélange by Esscentual Alchemy I imagine myself as Satine in Moulin Rouge…replete with ivory cigarette holder, black lace ensemble and flower bedecked swing, high above my adoring crowd…singing at least as well as Nicole Kidman and pouting almost as fabulously.
In the boring fresh and clean wasteland that is the men’s department store fragrance counter, a perfume lover despairs on ever smelling something new. You wonder if any new perfumer will ever take a risk on something that is not “fresh and clean” which is made to appeal to the Axe generation. That is why when there is a new mass men’s fragrance release that dares to go in a different direction I want to stand up and applaud. When it is as excellent as Marc Jacobs Bang is, I want to shout “Halleleujah!”
Thierry Mugler has produced some singular perfumes under his fragrance label. Starting in March of this year Thierry Mugler began to beat the drums about their new fragrance, Womanity. In typical Thierry Mugler fashion it was full of flowery language and felt like it should have ended like the old opening to Star Trek with “To Boldly Go Where No Woman Has Gone Before!” Then the note list arrived and while there was much there that was familiar there was something there that was definitely a new, if not final, frontier in perfumery; a caviar accord. A caviar accord in a women’s fragrance? The truth is that Womanity and the caviar accord with it are much more subdued than you would expect and that quietness is perhaps the most surprising thing about Womanity.
